Jeremiah

Jeremiah is the book of the prophet Jeremiah, who receives the divine call to prophesy while very young. It is his mission to predict doom upon his nation for its many sins. For this he is hated by the priests and the people. More important than prophecies is the emphasis Jeremiah places on personal religion.
Jeremiah 7
7:29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
