The Miracle of Salvation
God’s loving hand of healing is extended to all, but in return He expects obedience and reasonable service.
Behold, thou art made whole: SIN NO MORE, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14).
When you reach out to God for a miracle of healing, make sure that you also take a miracle of salvation if you have not already done so.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12).
Healing for soul and healing for body should not be separated; they both came as a result of Christ’s death. Remember, the Bible makes no separation in this twofold atonement. Healing for the soul is the born-again experience spoken of by Jesus in John’s gospel:
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).
How can you be born again? Since all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, first acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of Jesus, and then:
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19).
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9).
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).
Ask God for forgiveness made available to you through the shed blood of Christ.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him (Romans 5:8,9).
Without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22).
Accept the salvation provided you through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Claim it; live it day and night.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1,2).
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
For sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14).
Being born again means you have taken on the very nature of Christ. Through faith you know His nature lives in you instead of the old nature; and as long as the blood of Jesus covers you, you are no longer a sinner.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not...Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin...because he is born of God (I John 3:6,9).
Have You Received the Holy Ghost Since You Believed?
The wonderful born-again experience, or regeneration, is just the beginning of your walk with God. It is entirely separate from the experience of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist makes this distinction found in Matthew’s gospel:
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire (Matthew 3:11).
John’s baptism was repent and be baptized in water. He did not baptize sinners; in fact, when sinners sought the experience John rebuked them, saying he would not baptize them until they repented. Had John been baptizing those without repentance, he would have baptized the sinners who came to him. The Lord in His great wisdom had not only planned a born-again experience—a Calvary—but also an Upper Room experience—the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
For he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you (John 14:17).
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).
The Holy Spirit baptism is power for service, power to serve the Lord more fully after one receives the born-again experience. In the book of Acts we read that Paul greeted certain disciples at Ephesus by asking:
Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed (Acts 19:2)?
Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit not only is a marvelous privilege, but also a command of Jesus.
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5).
In obedience to this commandment, about one hundred twenty followers of Jesus went to the Upper Room and stayed there unto the Holy Ghost descended to baptize all who were assembled. When the Holy Ghost comes in to set up His abode within a life today, He does just what He did on the Day of Pentecost: with another tongue He speaks through the person being baptized. Speaking in tongues is the initial or first evidence of the Holy Ghost baptism, with many other evidences and signs following.
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come...They were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1,4).
The commandment to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost was not just for the Early Church, but for all believers throughout the whole earth today.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39).
The Responsibility for Seeking God Is Yours Alone
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually (I Chronicles 16:11).
Learn how to reach God for yourself through prayer, fasting and living in the Word. Jesus talked to the Father knowing He was alive, that He heard everything He said, and the disciples saw fantastic results.
Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).
After Calvary, after Pentecost, the disciples finally did learn how to pray like that. They prayed and the blind received their sight, the deaf heard, and the lame walked. The disciples learned to pray, and they performed great works in the name of Jesus.
He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do (John 14:12).
Fasting is a vital step in a close walk with God.
And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast (Matthew 9:15).
Jesus was referring to Himself as the bridegroom, making the point that after He was taken to Heaven, His disciples would fast. Fasting will put self more under subjection to God.
I humbled my soul with fasting (Psalm 35:13).
Doubts will be dispelled and faith will take their place through fasting.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).
The greatest weapon we have is the Word of God; live in the Word of God.
Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live (Deuteronomy 8:3).
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby (I Peter 2:2).
Perhaps in the past the Word has had no real meaning to you; but after prayer, fasting and receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it will become a new book, one you will want to feast upon. Suddenly other things won’t seem important compared with the joy of living in the Word. Lack of prayer, fasting, of yielding to the Holy Ghost and to the power and love of God brings a lack of God’s reality. In order for you to be able to cast your burdens on the Lord, you MUST have the reality of God’s will which comes through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (I Corinthians 2:12).
Obedience Is a Must
Be obedient to God’s Word.
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me (Exodus 19:5).
Obedience is bringing self under subjection to God and His commands. When God can find an obedient, consecrated heart, empty of fear and filled with His love, He will work in marvelous ways.
Obey my voice (Jeremiah 7:23).
We ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29).
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness (Romans 6:16)?
The mother of Jesus revealed the secret of receiving when she instructed the servants:
Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2:5).
The servants OBEYED without question and Mary BELIEVED God would move. If you really expect Him to perform a miracle for you, you cannot have any doubt about Jesus and what He has promised in His Word. All that God requires of you is complete obedience.
If ye love me, keep my commandments. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me (John 14:15,21).
The obedient can have the greatness of God today.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19).
The Body: A Temple of the Holy Ghost
The obedient will allow nothing to stand between him and God. Cleanse the body from anything that would destroy it; the body is to be a temple of the living God.
If any man defile the temple of God [tobacco, alcohol, and drugs destroy the body], him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are (I Corinthians 3:17).
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (I Corinthians 6:19)?
Keep your body undefiled before the Lord, and take a miracle. Many have died from cancer, heart conditions, or other afflictions caused by smoking, alcohol, or drugs. Don’t throw away your miracle. Cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs not only destroy the body, but also God’s miracles in your life. Do you need deliverance from alcohol, drugs, or smoking? Accept a miracle of deliverance as you would a miracle for healing.
His Grace Is Sufficient
Are you down in the valley, uncertain of how to talk to God? When you enter the prayer chamber are you at a loss for words because God seems afar off?
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39).
I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).
Many in this final hour do not know their way; they are searching and longing for peace and security. When you lose sight of God, confusion crowds in; but by keeping your eyes on Him, although confusion is all around, you can see clearly the path that lies before you.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105).
Know the way you take; you have the same God as had the apostle Paul, and that same mercy and keeping power of God is available to you. The Lord said to Paul:
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9).
And Paul said this about the Lord:
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13).
I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him (II Timothy 1:12).
Use God’s Faith
Cast your burdens on the Lord and let Him replace them with His faith.
FAITH conquers fear; fear brings torment.
FAITH brings peace.
FAITH is trusting the Lord with your whole heart and leaning not to your own understanding.
FAITH is safety, not false security.
FAITH keep those minds that are stayed upon the Lord in perfect peace.
FAITH brings God’s deliverance.
FAITH will make you whole.
FAITH makes all things possible.
FAITH staggers not at the promises of God.
Faith is Fully Persuaded That What God Has Promised, He Will Perform.
FAITH does not stand in man’s wisdom, but in the power of God.
Faith Comes By Hearing the Word.
FAITH quenches the fiery darts of the wicked.
FAITH is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
FAITH will bring you into the will of God.
Walk in His Steps
What is God’s will for you? To live holy before God and man, and to have His love.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me (John 15:4).
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened (Ephesians 1:18).
There are no shortcuts to finding the deepness of God. You can’t exclude regeneration and sanctification in your eagerness to reach the Holy Ghost. You can’t by-pass the teachings in the Word and expect to receive the full blessings of God. Walk your journey with the Lord step by step.
Ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21).
If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23).
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us (Ephesians 5:2).
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving (Colossians 2:6,7).
Unless you serve God today you cannot have His will for your life in the future. Failing to please God today will plunge your tomorrows into darkness. But if you trust in God and please Him today, He will plan your tomorrow.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6).
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
Know yourself; seek the Lord with your whole heart, and obey all his ways. Seek the anointing of God that will draw you into His greatness, into His healing for soul, mind, and body.

Oh Sinner, come to Jesus. Backslider, come to Jesus. You that are on drugs or alcohol, you that use tobacco in any form: You can be set free by the mighty power that’s in the name of Jesus. Lift your hand and mean this prayer, and God will hear. You’ll be saved right there where you are. Untold multitudes have been saved this very way.
Say, Oh God, save my soul. I’m so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home. I will serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. Deliver me from all my sinful habits. Set me free! I do believe Jesus died on Calvary for me, and I believe in His blood, that there is power in His blood to wash away all my sins, all my sins! Say, Come into my heart, Jesus; come on in, Jesus. Come on in!
If you meant it, He has come. If you meant it, Jesus is yours. Start reading your Bible, and pray daily, believing that somebody’s listening, and His name is Jesus. Bible fasting will help you, too. If you need some literature to help you, write or call, and I’ll see that you get that literature to bless you, dear one. Look to Jesus, hold to His unchanging hand and one day heaven will be yours. God bless.
