And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11). The two key words in this scripture are the blood and the Word. It is important that you learn how to use the divine blood of Jesus and the Word of God in your daily life because you never know when the devil is going to come after you with his thoughts and tricks. He wants to get you to fail God. That’s why you can’t afford to miss spending time with the Lord.

So many souls are depending on us to help them, so we need to learn all we can about how to use the divine blood of Jesus. The Lord let Rev. Angley know years ago that the fieriest battles we will face in this final hour are the battles of the mind. The Word says, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy (I Peter 4:12,13).

So many people’s minds are in conflict. The devil brings them great fear and doubt trying to destroy their minds through their own imaginations. The devil will try to make them believe something that is not even true to bring them confusion and rob them of their peace.

Don’t Let Fear Take Over

You can’t afford to allow the devil to rob you of your peace. You can’t allow your imagination to go into panic mode like the Israelites did at the Red Sea. When Pharaoh and his army were closing in on the Israelites, the people let fear take them over. In their minds, they could think of only two options: to fight Pharaoh and his army or to escape into the Red Sea and drown. Either way, the results were going to be death.

Unfortunately, the Israelites never thought of the third option, which was the salvation of the Lord. Instead of seeking God for deliverance, they started blaming Moses for their situation. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness (Exodus 14:11)?

Fear can make you think and say ridiculous things. Why would God have had Moses go through all the trouble of trying to convince Pharaoh to release the people just to let them die in the wilderness? That makes no sense. If God had wanted to kill them, He could have easily done it while they were in Egypt.

The Bible tells us, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7). All three of those things work together hand in hand. Jesus always had a sound mind even though His mind was human just like ours. Since He is our example, that means it is God’s will for our human minds to match the mind of Christ.

Rev. Angley’s book The Mind of Christ lists 141 ingredients that were in Christ’s mind when He lived on Earth. Do you have those ingredients in your mind? Do you even know what those ingredients are? If not, you need to read that book and find out which of those ingredients you are missing because the devil already knows. You must have the same mind Jesus had if you want to be an overcomer like He was when He lived on Earth.

Use God’s Thoughts

When you read the Bible, you must yield to the Holy Spirit. He will give you God’s thoughts on what you are reading. The Bible was written in a Heavenly language, so it takes the Holy Spirit to interpret properly what you read in it. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:21). If you depend on your own thoughts to understand God’s Word, you are opening the door for the devil to get in. The devil can cause you to take scriptures out of context and twist those scriptures to suit your will instead of God’s will.

You can’t allow the devil to use your imagination as a tool against you. The Bible says, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5). You must pay attention to your thoughts and make sure you are yielded to the Holy Spirit. Weigh your thoughts on God’s scale. When you are a child of God, you will have overcoming power through the blood of Jesus to protect your mind.

Many Christians don’t know how to use the divine blood in their lives. In some of the African nations this ministry has traveled to, we saw that the people allowed witchcraft to be mixed in with the Gospel in their churches because they didn’t know that witchcraft is strictly of the devil. They lived in fear of witch doctors and the curses they can put on people. If you are a blood-washed child of God, your soul is sealed by that blood; and no witch doctor can put a curse on you.

Don’t Fear Witch Doctors

I had my own experience with a witch doctor on one of this ministry’s mission trips to Africa. I was part of a team of ministry workers that was passing out ministry Gospel literature in a certain village. We were walking up a hill alongside a street when I saw a man staring at me from down below. I could tell he was not happy with what we were doing by the look on his face, but I didn’t feel led to approach him. He continued staring, and I knew I needed to keep an eye on him; but I didn’t want him to think I was staring back at him.

He continued to stare at me; and when I glanced over at him again, he recognized I was looking at him. Then he went into action and started forming an imaginary ball in his hands. When he was finished, he reared back and threw it at me. I was watching him without having a clue as to what he was doing. Then he made another imaginary ball and threw it at me again. By then, I’m thinking, “What is going on?” But I knew it was time to move on and continue my work for the Lord.

Later, I found out that this is how a witch doctor tries to put a curse on someone. What if I would have let the devil take over my imagination and make me think I had been hit by one of those curse balls? The devil would have given me all kinds of mind battles. He would have begun working on my nerves and my health, but I wasn’t afraid of that witch doctor’s curse because I knew I was covered in the divine blood of Jesus. I knew the divine blood has power over any situation the devil can throw at me.

Reject the Devil’s Thoughts

Your imagination joined with fear is one of the devil’s most powerful weapons. If you let him, he will make you doubt your salvation and your Holy Ghost baptism. He will make you doubt your miracles and even make you think you’re dying when nothing is wrong with you. He will make you think nobody likes you and that people are against you. He will bring up sins of your past to make you feel ashamed and guilty when the Lord has already thrown those sins into the sea of forgetfulness. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19).

Have you ever had any of those thoughts of the devil? You must protect your mind with the blood of Jesus and the Word because the enemy is always ready to do battle against you. If you give in to one of his battles of the mind, it’s the same as bowing down and surrendering to the devil. You have to fight the enemy with the blood and its divine strength because souls are counting on you. If you fail, souls can go to hell.

You can’t defeat the devil with your physical strength. You have to use the blood of Jesus and the Word of God. The devil is using mind battles and anything else he can to try to destroy your nervous system because he knows that if he can do that, he can hinder you both physically and spiritually; but you can have a strong nervous system by yielding to God’s love, joy and peace.

The devil wants to keep you oppressed and depressed, and every thought from him goes against the knowledge of God. It is very important that you are always aware of your thoughts, so you can bring each thought under subjection to the obedience of Christ. When you take part in a conversation that is not edifying, you are taking on thoughts that are not in agreement with God.

Take Your Stand

Every child of God needs to stand as tall in the Lord as the three Hebrew boys did. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1). They kept their faith no matter how things looked, and they didn’t let the devil play in their minds. They never second-guessed themselves or worried about offending the king or anyone else. When you stand for truth, you must stand no matter what is going on around you. Don’t let your imagination cause you to tremble in fear.

Moses told the Israelites at the Red Sea, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever (Exodus 14:13). And when the people listened to him, they did see their salvation that day.

The Hebrew boys saw the salvation of the Lord because they didn’t bow in fear. The battle did get hotter and hotter for them; but unlike the Israelites at the Red Sea, the Hebrew boys had the faith to believe that God was going to deliver them. Victory will always come when you have divine faith.

Let Your Light Shine

Don’t let the devil work on your imagination and wear you down. He wants to make you unproductive in the Lord’s work. He knows that if he can occupy your mind with worthless mind battles, you won’t be focused on the lost; but Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8).

Every single mind battle is a work of the devil. They are never God’s work, but you don’t have to fear the devil or his demons. You have power over him through the divine blood of Jesus. Do you use that blood? It will give you all the power you need to serve the Lord and win the lost at any cost. The Holy Spirit knows which souls are marked for you to win, and He will bring those souls across your path. You must be ready to meet them.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). You must always give God the glory for any works He uses you to perform. None of us can take credit for any of our talents because we are nothing without Him.

Know that people are always watching you to see if you have the glory of God in your life, and others will be watching to see if you will fail. Either way, you must do the works of your Heavenly Father just like Jesus did when He was on Earth. He said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

It doesn’t matter what kind of criticism you receive as long as you are about your Father’s business. There is no time to waste with people who don’t believe or want the truth. Jesus didn’t waste time with the Sadducees and the Pharisees, so you shouldn’t waste time with people who have those types of spirits either; but be careful because the devil will try to make you think you need to spend time praying and fasting for such people.

Let the Holy Spirit guide and direct your prayer and fasting life. The hour is too late for us to pray wasted prayers. If you only pray once in a while and you hardly ever fast, then you are letting the devil use your mind more than God.

Clean Up Your Mind

You must have a mind like the one you will have in Heaven, one that is pure, clean and holy. If you have that kind of mind, you will have perfect fellowship with God at all times. Imagine your mind as a house with many rooms. If you are careless and you allow bad thoughts to enter into the rooms of that house and stay there, it will be cluttered and disorganized. Then when you need a thought from the Lord, you will have to rummage from room to room and sift through mounds of the devil’s trash to find it.

The Lord doesn’t want to visit a mind that is full of trash, so it’s time to clean house and become a good housekeeper of your mind; and that takes great discipline. You will have to make sure everything is in its place and in order every day, and you can’t let the dirt and scum from this world be tracked in. Your eyes are the windows to your soul, so how clean are your windows?

If Jesus came knocking on your mind’s door, would you be embarrassed to let Him in? Would your mind be so cluttered with the cares and thoughts of this world that Jesus wouldn’t be able to find a place to sit down to have a heart-to-heart conversation with you? What kind of shape is your mind in? If you learn to use the blood to keep your mind clean and pure, it will keep your soul clean and pure too.

When the devil tries to unload dirt in your mind through mind battles, you need to sweep them out just like you sweep out dirt on the floor. You wouldn’t let someone come into your home and dump garbage all around, so why do you let the devil do that in your mind? The Holy Spirit is supposed to be living in your temple, but He will not be happy living there if He is disappointed in your housekeeping.

Let Jesus Move In

Sinner, Backslider, the Lord wants to move in and clean your house so to speak. He wants to clean your heart and your mind with the divine blood of Jesus. Being covered with the divine blood of Jesus is the only thing that can make you pure, clean and holy. Covering your soul with the blood of Jesus is one of the most wonderful things you can ever do for your life.

I’d like to give you this opportunity to ask Jesus Christ into your heart right now. Just pray with me and ask Him in. Say, Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me for my sins. I have come home to serve you for the rest of my life. And I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in. Amen.

Jesus Is the Healer

Now that you have Jesus Christ in your heart, you have the Healer. It doesn’t matter what sickness or disease is in your body. God made you; He can heal you. The Bible says, The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). I am a believer, so let’s pull down Heaven together for whatever your need is. Lord, Heavenly Father, you know what the people’s needs are. Break their bondages and set them free. We curse every sickness and disease in their bodies. Heal! in the holy blood name of Jesus Christ I pray. Let everything come to normal in their bodies. And Lord, we will always give you all the praise, the honor and the glory. Amen.
