What Is in Jesus for Us?
Volume 26 The Mysteries of God

February 1996
What is in Jesus for us? What is in Him? What does He have to offer us? What can we have through Him? An evil man, Pilate, looked at Jesus and found no sin, no wrong, no guilt in Him. Behold the man! he said (John 19:5). What do you see when you look at Jesus? Behold more than a man: behold the Christ of God. Behold God’s Only Begotten Son. Examine Him, measure Him, weigh Him. He wants you to. Ask your heart if you really know Him.
Paul sought to know Jesus in all His fullness: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10). Paul found the greatness of Jesus he was looking for. Writing to Timothy, he said, I know whom I have believed (II Timothy 1:12).
Where did Jesus come from? Is He trustworthy, dependable? Does He keep His promises? What does God say about Him? What is His record of service toward mankind? What has He done for the human race in the past? What is He doing today? What does He have to offer you, to offer His people? Weigh Him today. Measure Him.
The scale God uses for His Only Begotten Son is the same scale He uses for His people: the Word of God. God wants you to use His Word to weigh His Son as He uses His Word to weigh you.
What is in Jesus for you? He gives you this great promise: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life (John 6:47). Everlasting life comes through Jesus.
Jesus is your salvation. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (Ephesians 2:4,5). Before He came into our hearts, we were dead; but He hath quickened us, given us life. The life of God comes through His Son Jesus.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5). Through Jesus we have saving mercy and the Holy Ghost.
What is in Jesus for us? All the wonderful things which he [God] shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour (Titus 3:6). Through Jesus Christ, God’s abundance is ours when we are born again. We are joint-heirs with His Son Jesus.
For we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world (John 4:42). Jesus is the Savior; let that marvelous truth burn within your heart so strongly that you never lose it. Jesus the perfect Savior is your salvation, your redemption, your life, who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began (II Timothy 1:9). Jesus has saved us, called us with a holy calling before the world of the Gospel began.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world (I John 4:14). Because Jesus is our Savior sent by God the Father, we can have complete confidence in the salvation He brings. Jesus is ours, accepted and appointed by God to be our Savior.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). Our Savior Jesus’ divine mission was to seek and save all that was lost, to save the world from sin and the curse that came upon it at the fall of man. He is the Savior not only for the mind, soul and body, but for the earth as well.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). Jesus is our gift. Many try to get to Heaven by works, but God says not so. Only by the shed blood of Jesus and through your faith in that blood can He be your Savior.
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour (Luke 1:47). As you look to Jesus on center stage, examine what it is that makes Him your Savior. No one else can give you eternal life for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11).
We are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). Jesus is our justification. Redemption comes only through Jesus whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God (Romans 3:25). We have become the righteousness of God through the righteousness of Jesus Christ; that is what is in Jesus for us. Keep this phrase in mind: That is what is in Jesus for us!
Present the message of salvation and righteousness of Jesus to the whole world. Jesus is Savior and more. He is Lord over all the powers of darkness, trampling them underfoot and destroying the works of the devil.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11). There is no other name like the name of the Lord Jesus. Honor Him, worship Him, praise Him as Lord. Every demonic spirit, even Lucifer himself, will have to bow one day and say that Jesus is Lord. We see Him on center stage today, and we shout with a voice of victory: He is Lord! Behold our Lord! Pilate said, Behold the man, but we say Behold our Lord! He was much more than a man.
Whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s (Romans 14:8). Jesus is Lord over every life who has chosen Him to be Lord. Whether we live or die, He is our Lord.
The bodies of the righteous dead planted in the ground will come forth on Resurrection day. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body (I Corinthians 15:42,44). The old is sown, and the new will rise up. Behold our Lord! I say.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead (Romans 6:13). Yield yourself to the Savior, to your Lord; yield to every will of His, every desire because you are alive from the dead when you are born again. You are no longer dead in the trespasses of sin. Behold the one on center stage; know who He really is!
Yield your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:13,14). Jesus is Lord over all sin; He is the Lord over every sin-free life, making it possible for sin to have no dominion in that life. With His wonderful message of salvation He came: I am Lord, I am Savior. I am truth, the way. Recognize the truth; accept the truth and be free. If you have the truth you are absolutely free from sin. Jesus committed no sin, and He brought us power to live sin-free, to be just like Him.
Sin shall not have dominion over you who are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14). The Jubilee Christ came, the fulfillment of the Law. Every day, not just the Sabbath, is to be holy through Him. Embrace the love you have found in God’s grace; trust in the grace of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that takes the sting out of death and the Law.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness (Romans 6:15,16)? God forbid that you sin. You have not had a blood bath of slain animals to atone for sin as people once needed under the Law; you have had a Jesus blood bath. When you are born again, your soul is sealed with His divine blood. If you reject that blood and commit sin, you belong to the devil and are a servant of sin. If you obey righteousness, you are a servant of your Savior, Lord and perfect Redeemer. The Bible is very clear about this.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own (I Corinthians 6:19)? If you are blood washed, born again, your body is a temple of the Holy Ghost. The blood cleaned you up, purified the temple and made it holy for the Holy Spirit to come and set up His abode, dwelling in you just like Jesus told the disciples it would happen. The temple of the body has been cleansed and sanctified through Jesus, the truth; now you are a candidate for the Holy Ghost baptism.
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:20). You have not been purchased with silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Jesus. If Jesus is your Lord, He is Lord of your body, Lord of your soul, Lord of the whole you or else He is not Lord of your life. By giving yourself over to the Lord, your spirit has been sanctified and cleansed. Your soul, however, is not holy if it is not blood washed and blood sealed. The Holy Spirit never puts a seal on a soul until every seed of deceit is out of it, every particle of sin gone.
You who are born again will break the seal of the precious Holy Spirit if you allow one seed of deceit in your soul. The Lord won’t accept a soul contaminated with deceit into Heaven because when He accepts that soul, He has to accept what is in the soul, and God will never accept deceit.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36). Jesus is your Lord and Christ if you accept Him. Those who will not accept Him that way will never live in His Heaven.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment (Mark 12:30). You cannot love God this way unless Jesus is Lord of your life, unless the blood first washes away all that is unclean in your soul. Under the Law, people were told how to love the Lord; unfortunately, they didn’t live up to it. They would be cleansed on the Day of Atonement, but then go right back into sin.
Today there is no excuse for not living holy. We have the divine blood that makes all who accept it a son or daughter of God, a partaker of His divinity. When Jesus is in your heart, you belong to the family of God; the members of the family of God have no sin in them. Willful sin, however, excludes you from that family.
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). Confess that Jesus is the Lord of your life; believe that He is the Son of God who conquered death, hell and the grave. If you don’t believe that Jesus rose from the grave or that He is Lord, you can’t be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). Your heart has to accept Jesus as Lord to be able to believe unto righteousness. When salvation lands in your heart, you will talk about it, confess it and rejoice that Jesus is Lord, Savior and coming King.
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say (Luke 6:46)? Many call Jesus Lord, but He is not really their Lord and Master; the devil is. If you don’t live holy and free from all sin, the devil is your master—the Bible plainly tells you that. Your master is the one you serve. If you serve unrighteousness, you serve the devil. On the other hand, if you serve righteousness, you are serving the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s just that plain. All the greatness of God is in Jesus for you. God wants you to take note of His Son, to weigh Him. God is just, fair. Behold the man! Behold the Lord and Savior, behold His divine love! Look at Him!
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God (I John 4:7). You can only be born of God through His love and His Son Jesus. There is no other way to be born of the Spirit of God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (I John 4:8). People who gossip and criticize their brothers and sisters in the Lord are not using love; they do not even know God. Busybodies full of envy, strife, they do the works of the devil.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him (I John 4:9). There is no eternal life for you with the Lord unless it comes through Jesus. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus is the only holy eternal life that you can receive. There is no other Savior. You can’t receive Him as Lord unless you receive Him first as Savior.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins (I John 4:10). God sent His Son to be the sacrifice for our sins; our sins were laid upon Him. He had no sin, yet He took our sins, accepted them and the punishment for them in our place. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). All that Jesus suffered was for us. He didn’t suffer for Himself or for God the Father. Behold the one who died for you! Behold the Savior, the Redeemer—your Redeemer Kinsman!
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another (I John 4:11). We are to love with God’s love, not human love. His love puts a great bond between God’s servants and God. To have and use God’s love, you must live holy.
The Holy Spirit is grieved if God’s love is not present in each heart. Lack of His love causes confusion in the body of Christ. You can’t use divine love if you don’t have the divine Spirit of Jesus in your heart. You can then use only human love. Some Christians mock God by calling their feeble human love God’s love. Human love can backbite, gossip and do all kinds of ugly things of the flesh. God’s love is not part of the flesh; His love is divine, love that fills Heaven.
If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us (I John 4:12). God wants us to be perfected in His love. The downfall of many people, saith the Lord, is that they’re not perfected in His love. When you are not perfected in the love of God, you grieve the Holy Spirit daily by the things you say, the way you act, the way you treat others. When His love is perfected in you, that love compels you to act like Jesus, talk like Him, minister the way He did. He served people love, blessed them with love even while He was hanging on the cross. Father, forgive them, He cried; they know not what they do! That was the love of God speaking.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (I John 14:16). God is love, and if you don’t dwell in His love, God doesn’t dwell in you. Some people are deceived in thinking they have God’s love when they shred people apart with their words. Everyone who has the love of God dwelling in his heart has a sanctified tongue, speech pure and clean because the spirit is pure and clean. Therefore he speaks the love of God.
You serve what you have. There is no need to be deceived about it. Ask the Lord to help you know if you are deceived. See how you yourself weigh out on the truth scales as you measure and weigh God’s Only Begotten Son. God wants you to measure up to Jesus.
People have been deceived, told too many times that they can’t measure up to Jesus, that they can’t be like Jesus. This is contrary to the truth; it’s false doctrine. The Bride will prove it wrong. The love of God and holy living will be manifested through the Bride. The Lord wants the world to know what is true and what is false.
We love him, because he first loved us (I John 4:19). When you come to God, His love is the first thing He gives you after your sins are washed away. He fills your soul, your heart to the brim with His love; He bubbles you over. You can cry with Jesus and mean it: Father forgive them! Forgive all my enemies! They didn’t know what they were doing! You love God with the everlasting love that He gives you. The human spirit does not have that kind of love.
Some can’t forgive family members; it’s a lack of the love of God. Lack of His love opens wide doors for the devil to move through and destroy; it causes much fussing and feuding in families. Where the love of God dwells, however, the devil has no chance to enter. Where the love of God dwells, there is protection, security, everything you need.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). God showed His love toward us, showed us how great His love is when He loved us while we were enemies of the Cross. He didn’t wait to see if we would accept the Crucifixion. Christ went ahead and died for us before He knew how we would act. The Lord does not look into your tomorrows to see if you will continue to serve Him before He decides to save you today. He gives you the benefit of every doubt.
Some people believe that their destiny in Heaven or hell is predetermined and they have no say in the matter. This kind of predestination is false doctrine, not true at all. The Lord offers His love; all who reach out for it find the nail-riven hand of love reaching for them. When you cry, Oh God, have mercy upon me! His ears of love are delighted to hear that cry. In His love there is a chance for everyone to be saved. It’s whosoever will, let him come—the love call. The Lord doesn’t sort through people to choose certain ones over others for a chance at salvation. Salvation is for all who accept it. Aren’t you glad, Sinner, that you can come to the Lord today? Aren’t you glad, Backslider, that the Lord is still married to you and He wants you back?
Jesus said, As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love (John 15:9). Just as God loves Jesus, Jesus loves us. He instructed the disciples to continue in His love: they had come into His eternal love, and He wanted them to stay there. What love God has for Jesus! No wonder He served; no wonder He gave all—His whole life—for mankind.
There is no other way to Heaven but the love road. Some of you haven’t always walked that way. You barked when you should have soothed, complained when you should have praised God. You were puffed up rather than humble before the Lord, sour instead of sweet. When you could have been nigh, you walked afar off. Justifying yourself with self, you were not justified with the Word of God. You were in total deceit.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you (John 15:13,14). Jesus, looking on the human race as His friends, died for them all; He gave ultimate love. Jesus called even Judas a friend, knowing Judas had betrayed Him. Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
Jesus said, These things I command you, that ye love one another (John 15:17). Loving your brothers and sisters in Christ is not an option but a command. Some people choose whom to love and whom not to love, feeling free to tell others about the people they don’t like. Be careful; you cannot hate people and still have God in your heart. You don’t have to like everyone, but you must love their souls.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith (Ephesians 3:17). Faith cannot dwell in a heart that has no love. Lack of love is the reason so many struggle in prayers, wondering why they are never answered—no love, no faith. If you have lost your first love, you have lost your faith. The members of one of the churches mentioned in Revelation were accused of losing their first love. God held it against them and called them to repentance. If you don’t have God’s love, you don’t have God’s faith.
Ephesians 3:17: That ye, being rooted and grounded in love—this verse isn’t talking about man’s love at all, but about the love that Jesus brought down. A tree has to be rooted if it is to grow and be healthy. You must have the soil of the Spirit, thus saith the Lord, to have the love of God in you. If you reject any of His truth, you mar the love of God in your heart, contaminate it, disgrace it. In that condition, you are helpless when it comes to using the faith of God. You fight to use the little bit of human faith you have left, calling it the faith of God—but it isn’t.
Mistaking human faith for God’s faith has created invalids out of many Christians. It has made people doubt God and caused others to doubt Him, too. Loved ones, observing the failures of those who they thought knew God, decided they didn’t want that kind of God. There was nothing wrong with God; it was human faith that was in error.
If you have abandoned any of the love of God, get it back. Be aware how full of the love of God you are and can be. Check the love of God in your life by your words. The Bible says, If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). Not offending with your words, you can be perfect in God’s love. Using the tongue right, you have the love of God. The tongue that has never been tamed cannot be controlled by anything but God’s love. You who have “tongue trouble” have it because you don’t use God’s love; you only use the human love in your heart. Human love can be critical one moment and accepting the next. Human love may think it means well, but all too often it brings unnecessary hurt. First Corinthians 13 tells us how God’s love acts: it’s gentle, wonderful, not puffed up, does not boast, has no envy or strife. You either have God’s love or you don’t.
Are you getting ready to do the whole will of God? Are you seeking to wear the shoes and robe of Jesus? Do you desire to walk, talk like Jesus, to be like Him and do His works—even more works than He did when He was here on Earth? Jesus said, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). Believers will do greater works—more works—because Jesus in the human worked only three years on Earth.
The Lord wants you to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:18,19). How many people on Earth today really know God’s love? All too few. Deceived, they can’t separate human love from God’s love, and they fail to accept and use His love.
The love of Christ passes knowledge; it is not in the knowledge of man. You can’t pull His love out of books. Many have never learned how deep it goes. That’s the reason they don’t reach for the Lord and glorify Him the way they should. The Bride will have the reach that glorifies. She will reach with God’s love to the ends of the earth, saith the Lord, reaching the heathen with such love that she will compel many to come away from their idol gods, devil worship and Satanism and to serve the true and living God.
Behold the man…but one day it will be, World, behold the Bride! She will take center stage, saith the Lord. She is getting ready to take her place. It will be wonderful when you see the Bride on center stage at last. Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved (Song of Solomon 8:5)? She is the Bride of Christ.
God wants you to thoroughly know Jesus’ great love for you so you will be filled with the fullness of Him. Never will you have all of Jesus until you know His love. Many Christians do not have the knowledge of the fullness of Jesus because they do not have the knowledge of His love, have never really become acquainted with it. They don’t know what is in the love of God, what it’s made up of, the strength, the power of it, the glory and the greatness of it.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39). This verse was written by a man who had learned to know what was in the love of Jesus. That’s the reason the Lord could pour so much wisdom and knowledge through him. Paul knew God’s love, weighed it, analyzed it, embraced it, and was persuaded completely that nothing could separate God’s children from His love.
In the Early Church the devil tried everything he could to stamp out God’s love; he saw to it that Christians were fed to the lions, burned at the stake, crucified. They rotted in dungeons, jails, but they couldn’t be separated from God’s love. Nothing could separate them from the love of Jesus Christ. That’s the kind of love the Bride is going to use, the reason she will make any and all sacrifices for the Lord, the reason she will never take her hands out of the nail-riven hands. Day and night she will hold to those hands; her love will compel her to hold on. Her love for Him that dwells in her heart—which is His love—will give her the strength to hold on, the strength to bear up under any cross or persecution that would come her way. God’s love has been tried by water, tried by fire, by wild animals, and it has always stood the test. Daniel used it in the den of lions, and he bears testimony in Heaven today that it works. In the fiery furnace the Hebrew boys used God’s love, and walked out without even the smell of smoke on them. God’s love works anywhere the everywhere.
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). God’s love is everlasting, eternal, the same today as it is and ever will be Heaven. You will never have a different kind of God’s love, never trade it off for a replacement in Heaven. God’s love is here on Earth for you—you need it to get into Heaven, and you will have it in Heaven. When you walk down the Avenue of Glory, God’s love is the only kind of love you will see, the only kind of love you can experience. Every saint of God in Heaven has stepped from human love into God’s everlasting love.
The greatness of God’s love is in Jesus for us, and much more. The Bible tells us that we will be like Him. When he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (I John 3:2). We will be like Him in every way. Love will do it.
Behold the man! Look again at Jesus our Savior, Lord, our eternal love, the righteousness of God. Human righteousness in the eyes of God is like filthy rags, but God loves His righteousness in His people; He adores it and will do anything for those wearing His garment of righteousness. Only the King’s children, the blood-washed can wear this garment of the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (II Corinthians 5:21). Jesus who had never sinned took our sins so that we could be made the righteousness of God. Is it not our righteousness, I say again; we have been made His righteousness. That’s the power of Jesus, the power in divine blood.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Your life is in the righteousness of God. Self-righteousness is death, but the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ is life. With the righteousness of God, you will live in God’s Heaven. Without the righteousness of God, you will spend eternity in a living death in hell.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). If the sin of Adam would go into the lives of every human being, bringing the penalty of death on all, think how much more the righteousness of God will give life to all who will yield to Jesus as Savior, Lord and accept His divine love. Righteousness is stronger than death.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith (Philippians 3:9). Man’s own righteousness which was of the Law was a working righteousness: Do this, do that. But the righteousness of God that Jesus made possible for all mankind to have comes only through the faith of God, not works. It takes divine faith to have divine righteousness. You cannot have God’s righteousness without His faith and without His love.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (I Corinthians 1:30). All these things come only through His love. Without His love, you are a pauper in spiritual things. Jesus is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption.
In praying for His disciples Jesus said, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17). The Word [Jesus] was made flesh, and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Jesus, the Word made flesh, is truth.
The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference (Romans 3:22). In Jesus we have the righteousness of God. Nothing can compare to God’s righteousness, to the life of God. His righteousness can never die; it is eternal like God Himself. By accepting Jesus as your righteousness, you have the righteousness of God and will live forever as long as you do not willfully commit sin.
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). Freely we have been justified, redeemed by Jesus. God doesn’t look at us; He looks at Jesus in us. If we have accepted Jesus, God accepts us; we have the perfection of Jesus that God the Father loves. No guile was to be found in His Son, no fault. Jesus pleased the Father when He was here on Earth.
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus (Romans 3:26). We are justified through the righteousness of Jesus, but we have to believe in Him. If we don’t believe in Him, we can’t believe in His righteousness. If we don’t accept all that Jesus is, we don’t accept all He has for us. To those who do not really know Jesus, God the Father introduces His Son: weigh Him, measure Him, analyze Him, find out all about Him.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5). Jesus saved us by His mercy; He is our regeneration through His blood. What can wash away our sins, what can regenerate us? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. That’s what’s in Jesus for us—and there is much more!
Behold the man! As we behold Him, we see more than a man. We see the Savior, the Lord, His eternal love and greatness; we see fellowship with Heaven. Jesus gave man a clean heart, clean hands and placed those hands into the hands of the Father. Father, this is your newborn son, your newborn daughter, He said. Through my divine blood they have been born new. They’re not contaminated with sin. Father, they’re just as pure as the first Adam, the first Eve before the fall, the two you once walked with in the cool of the day. That’s the fellowship the Bride will have with the Lord in this her final hour. His face, which has been hidden because of man’s disobedience, because of man’s lack of love and faithfulness, will be hidden no more. The Bride will have the whole Jesus and the fellowship of Heaven. Those who break any of that fellowship are robbed of walking hand in hand with the Lord.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). This is Heaven’s fellowship, not Earth’s, man’s fellowship with divinity. What a marvel is the fellowship human beings can have with Heaven, with deity! It’s a fellowship deeper than all the wells on planet Earth today. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (I Corinthians 1:9). We have been called by God unto fellowship with Jesus, the same fellowship that the Father had with the Son. But we must have the same love, the same faith, the same grace, purity, the same everything that Jesus had. We must be like Jesus, love like Him, talk like Him and nothing less. Fellowship with Jesus is not a half-way thing but complete trust and commitment. What kind of fellowship did Jesus have with the Father? Jesus said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42). Never was there a shadow of insecurity in the fellowship between Jesus and the Father, and neither must there be a shadow of insecurity in the fellowship between us and Jesus.
The Bride will cry again and again: Father you always hear me! Thousands of times with great delight, great faith the Bride will call on the Father, using Heaven’s faith, Heaven’s love. This is the reason God will be able to move in such a mighty way. The Lord will always hear the cry of the Bride as she calls down His fire from On High, His power, salvation, love, life, goodness, mercy, greatness.
Jesus said, For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). The Lord is always with His children whenever they are gathered together. If the Lord will meet with two or three, just think what He will do when the congregation of His people come together. Jesus must have center stage in our lives at all times so that He can do everything He wants, and so we can be just like Him.
Abide in me, and I in you. This is very close fellowship, closer than that of man and wife. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me (John 15:4). We cannot abide in Jesus unless we abide in His love, faith, peace, joy, strength. We cannot abide in Him unless we abide in His forgiving grace. Grace is forgiving.
Jesus describes Himself: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). The Bride will bring forth much fruit because she abides in the vine Jesus. Gathering the fruit of Canaan from the wonderful, spiritual trees that hold the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, the Bride will bring many into the Kingdom.
The fruits of the Spirit are not works, but through the fruits of the Spirit, the fruits of the spiritual Canaan, God’s work is done. The fruits of the Spirit serve the anointing and power to carry out the works of the Lord. The Bride will abide in the vine, Jesus, all the time and bring forth much fruit. Without the vine, Jesus, she can do nothing; but with the fruit to serve, she can do the work of Jesus.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). If you abide in Jesus, in His love, grace, promises, truth, if you abide in the heavenly Father as Jesus did when He was here on Earth, you can ask what you will, and it shall be done. This is the fellowship the Bride is coming into; the Bride will ask what she will and God will grant it. She will know God’s divine will. She will be so close to Him, have such fellowship day and night that she will be an extension of Him. He will be with her more than in the cool of the day; He will be with her in all the valleys, all the mountain peak experiences. He will be with her all the time. That’s what is in Jesus, the fellowship we have longed for, the fellowship that so few have had. Others have looked at those few and thought they were unusual, different. It wasn’t that the people were so unusual, it was the fellowship that set them apart.
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind (Philippians 2:1,2). Some declare we can’t be like Jesus, but in this verse we learn that we are to be in one accord, one mind, having the same love. Jesus moved in one accord with Heaven all the time He was on Earth, and the Bride, too, will be in one accord with Heaven, with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Because of it, the heavens will pour down the Spirit of God in this final hour.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you (John 14:20). As the disciples came into the reality of being one with the Master, so will the Bride have living reality of being one with Him. Jesus is in the Father, the Bride in Jesus and He in her. There couldn’t be a closer relationship, I say again. This is Heaven’s fellowship, what we have in the man called Jesus. Behold the man and you will behold Heaven’s fellowship for you.
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour (Ephesians 5:2). Some of you have failed by walking only in human love; you have sown discord and hindered God’s work. Walk in divine love, not human love. Walk in love and you will have a heavenly sweetness about you that will draw the Lord to you.
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:19,30). What fellowship we can have! As you speak to yourself in psalms and hymns, you tighten that fellowship with Him. Never use songs that grieve the Holy Spirit, songs that do not feed the Spirit, that Jesus and the Spirit do not enjoy. Praise Him in spiritual songs. The Bride will speak to herself in spiritual songs, hymns, making melody in her heart to the Lord. Singing to the Lord, she will glorify Him in all she does. Could there be greater fellowship than being members of the Lord’s body, of His flesh and bones? This fellowship is the divine way, not the human way. The divine way works miraculously and it will for all eternity. We have an eternal fellowship that will never grow dim, never fade, and with it comes God’s love, peace, salvation through Jesus. That’s what we have in Jesus—and so much more.
Behold the man! What do you see? Do you see those things the Lord tells you in the Bible? Do you see all of them? Does your heart and spirit rejoice and agree with the Word? Are lost on by-paths and detours? Are you off the straight and narrow love road? Only those on the road God has laid out in His Word can accept all of the Word. You can’t be on the faith road unless you first walk the love road. You can’t walk God’s road without God’s love.
Without love, you are nothing, just a big noise to God. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal (I Corinthians 13:1). Jesus detests that kind of noise. God gave you His Holy Word to follow so you could find the fellowship with His Son He desires you to have.
If you want to know Jesus, hold to all these things the Lord is giving you through His Word. Keep them, treasure them. They are nuggets of spiritual gold for the rest of the journey. You can know Jesus; you can be obedient like Paul, believe like him. Do the works of the Lord the way all those have who have followed in the steps of Jesus. It was Jesus in those people that made them great, the one we have on center stage today. Behold the man who is so much more than a man!
When Pilate saw just a man, he admitted there was no fault in Him. But Pilate couldn’t see beyond skin deep. He was blind, a stranger to the love of God. If you don’t have God’s love in your eyes, you can’t see Jesus for who He really is. If God’s love is not in your ears, you won’t hear His voice of greatness. His voice of love is like no other voice you will ever hear. His eyes see like none other.
Jesus is so great that when you do find Him you never want to let Him go. Jesus, I’m keeping you with me all the way. I’m holding on to you night and day. I won’t be afraid of the valleys, of the steep mountain climbs. You are my eternal fellowship; I’ll never be separated from you. I won’t worry about death ever again because even death cannot separate us.
Nothing but willful sin can break your fellowship with God. All the demons in hell coming toward you at one time and the devil with them cannot break that fellowship between you and Jesus, a fellowship as strong as the armies of Heaven.
You will never walk alone when Jesus holds your hand. How marvelous to know that you have such fellowship! Knowing you will never be alone, you also know darkness cannot hinder you, destroy you; you won’t ever lose your way because the one who lights up all darkness holds your hand. He walks with you; He talks with you, declaring that you are His very own, and He gives you great strength.
That fellowship, that one mind, one accord extends not only to Jesus your elder brother but to all your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. The bond of divine blood, which is much stronger than the human blood bond, makes you closer to members in the bridal company than you are to your own blood kin who are not saved. The family of God has eternal fellowship with each other and with God. Blood-kin fellowship alone is not that strong; much chaos in families occurs if the members are not protected with the blood of Jesus. One fuss can destroy fellowship for a year or longer. But God’s fellowship can never be destroyed as long as you commit no willful sin.
Let the Scriptures become life to you—they are life—giving you power to walk and talk like Jesus. The Scriptures give power to love the way He loved, to have faith as He had faith, power to trample devils underfoot just like Jesus trampled them.
Behold the man as He conquered all! Behold the man dying for us! Behold the man as He came out of the tomb, the man who conquered death, hell and the grave! Behold the man whose last instructions to the disciples commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). Jesus is saying the same thing today to the candidates for the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Go and tarry in my altar until you are filled to the brim with the Holy Ghost, until you receive power from On High. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Behold the man called Jesus. Behold your Lord, Master, Savior, your perfect Redeemer Kinsman, your love, your faith, your fellowship, your eternal life. He is more than just a man, He is divinity. Know Him in the power of His Resurrection, in the strength of His greatness for you. Know the strength of His love.
By His love compelled, I must take this Gospel message to the whole world in this final hour. In one vision I saw myself going from nation to nation, crying, Come to Jesus! Come to Jesus! The cry was so loud in the Spirit, it was as though it were going over loudspeakers. Then I started to cry one more time: Come… and the words died in my throat. There was no more message. I was startled. Never had I been interrupted like that by God. The message was over. Then the Lord took over and began to speak. I listened as He spoke to multitudes of people: I don’t want you. You didn’t want me, and now I don’t want you. You will pray, but I won’t listen. You will cry, you will be afraid, and I will mock you. I will laugh as calamity comes upon you. You didn’t want me, but I wanted you. My Son died for you. Now I don’t want you. I will never, never want you again.
Oh God, you will never know how I felt to hear those words! I knew it was Bible. God had warned in His Book of what would happen one day. If you ever feel in reality the fear I felt in the vision when I listened frozen in my spirit, it will be too late for you. My God, He didn’t want any of them! For so many years God had encouraged me ever onward to pray, fast and cry the tears of Calvary for the lost…now it was all over. The Jesus tears were all gone; those precious tears of Calvary would never be shed over another lost soul. God shows me things to come—and how devastating this cut off will be! What a doomsday it was to me! For days and days I was affected by the vision; I have never completely gotten over it.
Sinner, come to God. If any deceit is in you at all, you need to get it out, or you will hear God say one day, I don’t want you! Those will be the most terrible words you will ever hear. You can’t imagine what it would be like to hear God saying, I don’t want you and I never will want you! His voice will be angry! God can hate just as much as He can love. He teaches us that in His Word.
If you don’t have Jesus in your heart and soul, pray this prayer with me now: Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me of my sins. I am so sorry that I sinned against you, but I have come home. I’m going to serve you the rest of my life. I believe in your divine blood, and I believe the power in your blood will wash away all of my sins. Come in Jesus! Come into my heart. If you meant that prayer, you can say, Hallelujah, He has come! Hallelujah, He’s mine!
You who are sick and afflicted: Behold the man at the whipping post: He’s the divine Son of God. The Roman lash is coming down, and divine blood is being spilled. Because of that divine blood given at the whipping post, you can have healing for the body. With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). With His blood stripes physical healing comes. I’m not a healer, but God is; I believe in the power of prayer. Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you, those with heart trouble, with cancer, with tuberculosis, with other terrible death diseases. I bring them all to you, Lord. I bring that little afflicted one, that little one born with just part of a brain. Make them all whole today, Lord. In the name of Jesus, Heal! In the all-powerful name of Jesus, Heal! Heal!
The healing power is flowing into your body or into the body of your loved one if you accepted that prayer. It will linger there day and night to get you well just as it did for me when I was in a dying condition at just twenty-three years of age. His healing power gave me life and stayed the hand of death. It will do the same for you if you only believe. No one has ever loved you the way Jesus loves you; no one has ever cared like He cares.
Thus saith the Lord: You’re bought with a price. Glorify me! Glorify me, and I will be able to bless thee. I will be able to give you all of my strength, all of my joy, all of my peace, all of my greatness, and no power will be able to destroy you. You’re bought with a price, and you must remember you’re bought with a price so that you will pay the price that you must pay to win the lost in this last hour that you have. You must not fail, or multitudes will die and go to hell. Do not live in your feelings, but live in my faith. Do not walk in your feelings; walk in my love. Walk in my love, and you will bring the multitudes into my kingdom. I have called to all of you. Some of you have gladly answered my call and dedicated your life completely to my call. Others have not. Others have failed. And some of you, you have imperfections that are hindering you, hindering you. Others have deceit that is destroying you, and you will be destroyed in hell if you don’t get rid of that deceit. No deceit can appear before me in my Heaven ever. There will never be a seed of deceit in my Heaven, and you will not be allowed through the gates of my Heaven with any deceit. You must not fail. You must consecrate and dedicate. You that are being disobedient in some things, you must do my will now. You must be cleansed this night through my blood. You must not be weak; there is no excuse to be weak because I have offered you my strength, and I offer it to you daily. But some of you are not reaching for me; you’re reaching for self, and you’re serving self, and you have fellowship with self instead of fellowship with your Lord. You walk with self instead of walking with me. You listen to self instead of minding and listening to the Holy Spirit. You are being taught by self instead of being directed and taught by my Holy Spirit; so therefore, you’re on dangerous ground. My Spirit will lift from you. My Spirit will not always strive with you. Some of you have grieved my Spirit again and again, and when you grieve my Spirit you trample the blood of my Son underfoot. This can destroy you—and will destroy you—if you continue to do it. You’ve heard my message of love and greatness for you again and again until it has become a common message to some of your ears. Some of you, you’re not listening to what the Spirit is saying; you’re listening to what self has to say. You are being directed, I say again, by self instead of my Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only one that can prepare you for the Rapture, the only one that can get you ready to escape the Tribulation Period. Yield to my Spirit. You can only yield to my Spirit if you yield to the blood of my Son Jesus. You must yield to the blood to have my love, to have my faith, to have my overcoming power. You will not be victorious without the blood. You must recognize the blood. You must recognize the power that’s in the blood, and victory will be yours.
If you will yield to my Spirit, my Spirit will reveal to you daily the greatness of the divine blood that is yours. Walk in the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fail me in this hour. Walk in the Spirit, and those imperfections will leave you, and you will be the vessel of honor that I want you to be in this final hour, the vessel of honor that I can pour myself into, and you will pour it to the world. Look to me, and I will bring deliverance to you, but you must want deliverance when you look to me. You must feel the need of deliverance, and you must use my power of deliverance. No more of turning your back on me. No more of yielding one moment and disobeying me the next. You must walk with me now all the way if you’re going to please me, saith the Lord.
Yield to the blood. Tell the Lord you want to yield, that you don’t want any deceit in you, any imperfections. Tell Him you want to be everything He wants you to be, that you want to be just like Jesus. Through the blood, you can be like Jesus, and you can know with the saints of God all the greatness that is in Jesus for you.
