Do You Speak Right Words?

Words can lead people in many different directions, both good and bad; so you must realize just how powerful words really are. Speaking right words has the power to bring about good results, but speaking wrong words has the power to bring about bad results; so you must be careful to say the right words at all times.
What are right words? They are words that come forth from the anchor of truth—God’s Word. Wrong words come from self and the devil; so when you use them, you are headed for trouble. That is why the Bible says, Whoso keepeth [guards] his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles (Proverbs 21:23).
What you say reveals much about your soul. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). What you speak is in your soul or you wouldn’t say it, so you must examine yourself.
Job knew the value of speaking right words; and he said, How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove (Job 6:25)?Forcible words are very convincing, and they will bring forth an effect. When Job was afflicted in such a horrible way, his so-called friends came to talk to him; but they did not speak right words to him. They argued with him and said things about God that were not true, and God didn’t like it. God said to one of them, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath (Job 42:7). Thankfully, Job was not convinced by their wrong words.
No Careless Words
Job was righteous, and righteous people know what right words are. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable (Proverbs 10:32). Righteous people know what is acceptable to God and that they have to talk like Him.
Some people claim to be righteous, yet they are always carrying on with a bunch of foolishness and saying words that mean nothing. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness (Proverbs 15:2). The Bible says, Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). Study to be quiet (I Thessalonians 4:11). When you get true salvation, it will sober you.
You have to be careful with every word you speak. Saying words like “gosh” or “golly” do not glorify God. They just take the place of using God’s name the wrong way, and that is awful. The word “darn” is a substitute for the word “damn,” and that is awful, too.
One phrase you should never say is, “I swear.” The Bible says, But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation (James 5:12). In court, the law allows you to say, “I affirm”; and that is what I say.
You may not have realized that using these words and phrases is wrong, but now you know. You will not do as much for the Lord, and He won’t do as much for you when you use bywords; so glorify God with every word and in every way you can, and He will send His glory down to you.
The Lord is getting very strict with His people in this last hour because they must be spotless. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). Even one tiny blemish can keep you out of the Rapture, so you must always be working on yourself. When everything is right between you and God, He will walk inside of you. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16).
God Despises Wrong Words
People who give out personal prophecies or speak things that supposedly come from God when they really do not are speaking wrong words, and they are in deep trouble. Those who are anxious to prophesy over others or to pass on something God supposedly told them are usually full of ego and not full of truth. Many who are in fanaticism have a lot of ego, and ego is strictly of the devil. If you have any of it, you must get rid of it because it will hinder you.
If anyone comes to you with a self-made message that they say is from God, you must not listen just as Job did not listen. You have to know when people are not speaking right words and get away from them. You may think you will insult them, but they and the devil in them need to be insulted.
God hates it when people speak false words that compromise His truth or sow discord and confusion. He hates it when people put His name to words He has not spoken, and He doesn’t care who they are. God protects every word He speaks, and His words will stand forever. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33). The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever (Isaiah 40:8).
After God told Job’s so-called friends what He thought of their words, they tried to run from Him; but they couldn’t get away, and God rose up. He told them they would have to go back to Job and have him pray for them so God would forgive them or He would never hear their prayers again. God said, Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job (Job 42:8).
Of course, they did not want to go back and admit they were wrong; but God scared them into it. When they talked to Job, he did not sympathize with them; but he did pray for them. Job had a forgiving spirit, and God would not accept anyone else’s prayers for those men or forgive them until they had first apologized to Job for all the wrong things they had said.
When Job prayed for those who had mistreated him, God blessed him greatly. And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).
Speak Only Truth
The Lord wants everyone to be mindful of the power of their words every time they speak; and when you are really born new, you will speak God’s love language because it will be a part of you. Some people will say, “I can’t help it when a bad word comes out.” The Bible says, But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth (Colossians 3:8). If any of these things are a part of your spirit, then you are not saved; you just thought you were. If you die like that, you will go to hell; so you have to get rid of the devil’s language.
Your words must encourage others. The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary (Isaiah 50:4). You should have something of God to say to people in need because right words bring about strength, liberty and freedom. Speaking right words will also do wonders for you. Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones [the body] (Proverbs 16:24). A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Proverbs 25:11). Right words are of great value to those who hear them and to those who speak them.
You must always be willing to speak the truth and let your light shine not just within yourself but to the whole world. Jesus said, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
In quiet times of communion between you and the Lord, He will make known to you more and more treasures of the Gospel; but He doesn’t want those things to stop with you. He wants you to pass them on to others. The Lord said, What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops (Matthew 10:27). He also said, Freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8).
We must be willing to speak the truth and share the Gospel with the world every day. That was Jesus’ great commission to His disciples, and He is saying the same thing to us today. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14).
Jesus Spoke Right Words
The words of Jesus were always right; and He said, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth [and speak the truth], and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31,32). Jesus was speaking to the Jewish people of His day, and He is saying the same thing to us. Jesus is the truth; and He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
Jesus is our perfect example, so we must talk and act like Him. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth (I Peter 2:21,22).
Have you ever read anywhere in the New Testament that Jesus spoke anything but right words? Did He talk about sickness or weakness? Did He gossip, complain or seek pity for Himself ? Did Jesus ever speak boastful words about Himself ? The answer to all those questions is no. Jesus always spoke words of encouragement and humility, and the Lord will anoint you to do that, too.
Jesus’ right words must be life to you. He said, The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). If you are born again, you have eternal life in you; and when something is eternal, there is nothing that needs to be added to it. However, you have to treat that eternal life right because if you willfully sin against God, it will not be yours. So the next time you feel compelled to speak anything but right words, stop and ask yourself, “What would Jesus say?” You will always get the right response if you wait upon the Lord.
People lied about Jesus, and they will lie and say all kinds of wrong things about you, too; but when you have the truth, you have the experience of Heaven. Others have only an argument, but you have the experience; so you don’t owe them an explanation about anything. The Bible says, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger (Proverbs 15:1). Just turn away from those who speak wrong words and let God deal with them. That doesn’t mean people will stop saying things about you; but when they do, it won’t bother you.
Only Acknowledge Sound Doctrine
When you speak the sound doctrine of truth, you are speaking right words. But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine…shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity (Titus 2:1,7). Sound doctrine is pleasing to God, and it affects others whether they admit it or not. Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you (Titus 2:8).
Paul said, Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 1:13). After Paul was saved, he spoke nothing but right words because he gave his whole being to the Lord. He said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).
When you give your life to the Lord, you cannot say things that offend others. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). That means you must always keep self under control, and your life must be pure and clean.
You may say hurtful things and claim, “I just told them the truth”; but did God tell you to pass on that kind of truth? Doing that is a lack of wisdom; and the Bible says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5).
Anything other than right words is idle words, and Jesus said that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36). Idle words are worthless words that have no real purpose or value to God, and the Bible cautions multiple times about speaking too much and not using words wisely. In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise (Proverbs 10:19).
Don’t talk and talk just for the sake of talking because the more words you speak, the more you are accountable for. He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding (Proverbs 17:27,28).
If the things you say are wrong, you will have to suffer for them. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37). Right words will justify you no matter how many devils come against you or how many people say evil things about you, but wrong words against the righteous and against the truth will condemn you.
Desire to Hear Truth
The Lord doesn’t want us to speak only right words, He also wants us to listen only to right words. When you allow anyone to speak wrong words to you, you are asking for confusion and trouble; but some people do not want to listen to right words. Many church-goers today want to hear only things that make them feel justified, even if it is lies and deceit. They will say, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits (Isaiah 30:10).That is why so many people go to spiritually dead churches that have only a form of godliness but deny the true power of God.
God said through Isaiah, Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin (Isaiah 30:1). God was letting people know that the soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20).
The Bible says that in the last hour, men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:2-5). This describes so many people today.
The Bible said the time would come when people would not endure sound doctrine, and that time is now. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears (II Timothy 4:3). They want preachers to tell them that they are all right and that nobody can live free from sin, but those preachers are lying.
This is what God has to say about those who speak such wrong words: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant (Isaiah 30:13).
Don’t Fall Away
By listening and holding fast to the faithful words of Jesus, you can identify wrong words and refuse to let them enter your ears. Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers [those who oppose or contradict] (Titus 1:9).
The Bible says that the tongues of vain deceivers must be stopped. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers…Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert [undermine the truth in or destroy] whole houses, teaching things which they ought not (Titus 1:10,11). You must stay away from those who use wrong words because they are seeking to create a breach in your spirit.
You can catch the bad spirits people have, so be careful with whom you fellowship. Don’t associate with people who say the wrong things, and don’t let them come into your house. They may be members of your own family, but that doesn’t matter because you are responsible for what goes on in your house. You must never allow anyone or anything unlike God to contaminate it.
A great falling away from God is taking place right now, but the Lord prophesied that it would be one of the signs of His return. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [Rapture Day] shall not come, except there come a falling away first (II Thessalonians 2:3). Many churches, and even Pentecostal churches, are falling away from the truth. How sad. Some people may claim to follow truth, but they are in and out with God—on God’s side one day and on the devil’s side the next—and that will never work.
Control Your Tongue
You must realize that every right word counts in this last and final hour. Your speech and actions must be as pure as they will be in Heaven because words are easily spoken, but you can never get them back. People can repeat something you said for months and even years—that is the power of words.
Think about the tongue as a fire. You can burn down a big building by striking just one match, and just one wrong comment can destroy one or more lives. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body [soul, mind and body], and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (James 3:5,6).
Some people have gossiped and hurt others so much that they no longer think anything of it, and God cannot get to them with the truth about themselves. If they don’t turn themselves around, it will be too late to do anything about it when they are in hell; and there is no escaping hell. That is why you must pray that your words will always be accepted by God. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer (Psalm 19:14).
Your words and your life must be as holy as God is. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). Paul said, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). It is not hard to live holy when you take on the nature of Jesus Christ because it will make you like Him.
You must receive the tongue of fire that comes from the Holy Ghost. Then it will be easy for you to say the right things; but without that divine tongue of fire, you will be in trouble. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain (James 1:26).
Just saying you are religious won’t get you into Heaven, but it may take you to hell. Your religion has to come from the heart. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things (Matthew 12:35).
The Fruit of the Tongue
Our words can be called the fruit of the tongue; and just as there can be good fruit or bad fruit on a tree, there can be good and bad fruit of the tongue. What kind of fruit is your tongue bringing forth? Is it fruit unto life or fruit unto death? The Bible says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21).
If your tongue does not speak right words, there will be an interruption in the flow of divine life to your spirit and to the spirits of those you speak to. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit (Proverbs 15:4). Just think about all the things words have done down through the ages—they have started wars and made peace, separated friends and made friends, brought life to some and death to others. Let me emphasize again that words have great power. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health (Proverbs 12:18).
Read about the awful fruit produced by the serpent’s tongue in Eden and how his few twisted words seduced Eve into thinking God was not telling the whole truth. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4,5).
Then a few words from Eve seduced Adam into eating the forbidden fruit. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:6). What was the fruit of the serpent’s and Eve’s tongues?—death upon the whole human race.
Words Come from the Heart
Some people speak right words one minute and wrong words the next, but the Bible says that should not be. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison [if you don’t have God in it]. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude [likeness] of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be (James 3:7-10).
The tongue speaks from the heart, and whatever is in a person’s heart comes out in his voice; yet some people think their heart is right when their words are wrong. If you gossip, you are not right with God. Thus saith the Lord, you are not saved; and hell is going to be hot for you. You had better get right with God.
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things (Proverbs 15:28). Some people say whatever they feel like, but they are not getting by; they just think they are. The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out [silenced] (Proverbs 10:31). The Bride will not speak wrong words; they will be full of sweetness and joy unspeakable and full of glory (I Peter 1:8).
You cannot gossip or even listen to it and expect to have any fellowship with God because He hates it. When somebody starts to gossip to you on the telephone or in person, either hang up on them or walk away. When your ears are holy, you won’t listen to just anything. You must only want to hear from Heaven.
No matter what a person may say, God knows what is in his heart. For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7). When your heart is truly right, you will talk right all the time because you will want to please God. People may criticize you and try to tear you down, but pay no attention to them and move on with the Lord.
Edify Others
Because the tongue is so powerful and can influence others in many ways, you must speak only Gospel truth. Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ…stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel (Philippians 1:27). Use only that kind of language, and you will be safe.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16). What kinds of songs do you listen to? You are to admonish others to build them up and make them happy, not to tear them down.
Words of edification must be spoken with God’s love; and without that love, we are nothing. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:1,2).
Paul talked of edifying others on several occasions. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying [blessing], that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (Colossians 4:6). When you are sincere and living close to the Lord, He will give you the right answer every time if you will listen and wait on Him. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath (James 1:19).
Seek Peace
Do your words separate people or make peace between them? He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends (Proverbs 17:9). When you cause separations in the midst of God’s people, He will hold you responsible. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly (Proverbs 18:8).
Children of God are to be peacemakers. Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9).
Paul told the Romans, Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another (Romans 14:19). You must say things that will bless those you are talking to; so if you don’t have something good to say, don’t say anything.
You have to keep yourself under control at all times so you won’t say things you will regret later. When you get angry, the Bible says, Be ye angry, and sin not (Ephesians 4:26). When you are angry about something, that is not the time to speak. Yield to the grace of God and let the Holy Ghost take over. Then the anger will leave without doing any damage to you or anyone else.
You have to be careful because the devil will use your anger against you in your sleep, and that is bad business. That is why the Bible says, Let not the sun go down upon your wrath (Ephesians 4:26). When you go to bed angry at someone, you will not sleep well; and all the wrong thoughts will come to your mind.
Have Christ’s Divine Nature
Speaking right words includes talking about God’s promises, and they bring forth fruit unto life. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). You cannot just pretend to act like Jesus; you have to take on His divine nature and really be like Him. The Bible says, For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).
When you have the Lord’s nature, you will walk like Him and talk like Him. You must also have His mind so you can think like Him. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind (I Peter 4:1). All children of God must have the mind of Christ because God is seeking to draw us together in one mind and one accord. Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind (Philippians 2:2). Only His truth will bring forth fruit unto righteousness.
Your words should be bringing faith and the Gospel light to this perverse world. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons [or daughters] of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:14,15).
God’s children must shine as lights in this dark world because our lights will soon be gone. When the Rapture takes place, Jesus will take us out of this world; and it will be full of darkness. It will be hard for people to get saved during the Tribulation Period, and no one will be able to receive the Holy Ghost. Holding forth the word of life [before the world]; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ [Rapture Day], that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain (Philippians 2:16).
You Must See Yourself
If you are not using right words, you are not seeing things as God sees them either; and that is dangerous. You will begin to judge people and situations according to how you see them even though you are not seeing clearly. Is there anything in your life that distorts your vision and causes you to see things you think are wrong with others and then judge them the wrong way? Jesus said, Why beholdest thou the mote [something very small] that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam [something very large] that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye (Matthew 7:3-5).
Do you consider the beam in your own eye before you pass judgment on someone else? The scribes and Pharisees in Jesus’ day did not. The scribes and Pharisees brought unto him [Jesus] a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou (John 8:3-5)?
Those men did not consider the beam in their own eyes; but Jesus made them think about it when He said, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her (John 8:7). And then Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground (John 8:8). That was the only time the Bible told of Jesus writing when He lived on Earth, and I believe He wrote down the names of the whores those men had been with. Those hypocrites wanted to stone that woman for the same thing they had done. The Bible says, And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God (Romans 2:3)?
There are many things that can obscure your vision and cause you to bring wrong judgment upon others. The Bible says, He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD (Proverbs 17:15). When you judge others, you are definitely not speaking right words; so you need to ask yourself if there are any beams in your own eyes. Do you have a beam of jealousy, ego, superiority, resentment, partiality or deceit? You need to examine yourself carefully.
Thou shalt not wrest [force] judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous (Deuteronomy 16:19). Taking a bribe will definitely put a beam in your eye. In fact, the Bible says in that verse that it blinds your eyes; and that is dangerous in this final hour when we all have to keep our eyes wide open.
Judging Words are Wrong Words
There are many kinds of people in this world, and it is true that some personalities just don’t agree. You don’t have to love everyone’s personality, but you do have to love their souls. That means you cannot refuse to speak to certain people or deliberately put them down in front of others. If certain people bother you, you can be kind and courteous and then go on your way. God will not put up with anyone who causes division in the body of Christ.
You have to see people as God sees them, or you will not see or speak the truth about others. Jesus gave us a great example of that when He was here. And he [Jesus] spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican (Luke 18:9-11).
The Pharisee was full of ego, which God hates; and he said, I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted (Luke 18:12-14). The Pharisee was a hypocrite, and he was full of himself; but the publican was a sinner who was full of remorse and asking for forgiveness. You must see the difference between these two because God hates a hypocrite, but He loves a sinner.
Jesus clearly let us know that those who judge others will find that judgment coming back to them. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:1,2).
It is dangerous to pass judgment on others, and no one is justified in doing that. The Lord will help you to stop judging if you will sincerely ask Him to. That is what the Psalmist did when he told the Lord, Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent [free] from the great transgression (Psalm 19:13).
See People God’s Way
Eli was a priest in the house of the Lord, but he did not always see things God’s way. One day, he judged a woman by her outward appearance and actions; and then he spoke wrong words to her. Hannah was in great distress and praying earnestly to God that He would give her a child, but Eli accused her of being drunk. However, he was so wrong.
And she [Hannah] was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth [looked on the outward appearance]. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD (I Samuel 1:10,12-15).
God did grant Hannah’s request; and He gave her a son whom she named Samuel, which means “asked of God.” Hannah had also promised God that if He gave her a son, she would give him back to the Lord to be used in His service; and she followed through on that promise. She took her son back to Eli the priest and said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD. For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there (I Samuel 1:26-28).
Samuel became a servant of the Lord; and you must humble yourself before the Lord, knowing that you too are His servant to help people. I always remember I am the Lord’s servant. I have no ego, and I seek to be as much like Jesus as I can be. I stay away with the Lord where He can talk to me and tell me things to come.
Never Reject God’s Prophets
God has sent prophets to His people again and again to help them, protect them and deliver them; but so many times, they have rejected and even killed those prophets and cut off the help God was trying to give them because of their wrong words and thoughts. Jesus was grieved over that and said, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not (Matthew 23:37)!
And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy (II Chronicles 36:15,16). You can reject God’s Spirit only so many times, and that is it.
God wanted to give the Israelites so much, but they would not listen to Him or obey Him. He said, But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me [They didn’t want anything to do with God.]. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries (Psalm 81:11-14).
After the people had beaten, stoned and killed so many of God’s servants, He sent His only Son to rescue and redeem mankind. He thought that they would surely respect and honor Him, but they didn’t. Instead, they rejected Him and crucified Him. In speaking of Jesus, Peter told the people, But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life (Acts 3:14,15).
Stephen also rebuked the people for the things they said and did against God’s prophets and His only Son. Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers (Acts 7:51,52). And after hearing that, the people stoned Stephen to death.
People spewed out wrong words against God’s true servants again and again calling them blasphemers, babblers and deceivers; but all they did was cut off their own blessings. If you continue to use wrong words and disregard God’s love, you will eat the fruit of your own ways for eternity. When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices (Proverbs 1:27-31).
Seek Blood Control
To be able to speak right words all the time, you must be under the control of the divine blood. It gives you the power to stay out of sin, yield to the divine will of God and walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Jesus had that divine blood control when He was on Earth, and He showed us that we can have it, too.
Jesus was a man just like us, and all the power of Heaven He used is available to us today. He said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
You can put the devil to flight at any time through the blood. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). No matter how many demons come against you, they cannot defeat you when you have the blood. That is our greatest weapon from Heaven, and you must use it. This is a dangerous hour, and you have to be able to trample the devil underfoot in a split second just as the saints of old did. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11).
You must seek to have blood control over your tongue and your spirit at all times so you can live in God’s presence day and night and be led by the Spirit all the time. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). Then you won’t give over to the words and the ways of the flesh. Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
Anyone who wants it can have that blessed blood control over their life. It brings blood happiness, blood peace, blood joy, blood love and blood faith. It also brings divine Word control if you will give yourself completely to all of that Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You have to follow hard after the Lord and everything He has told you in His Word.
Go Forth
Children of God have been chosen to take the Gospel to the whole world before Jesus returns. The Early Church disciples let nothing stop them when Jesus sent them forth, and you can’t allow anyone or anything to stop you either. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20).
The Israelites got to the place where they gave up on God, but you can never do that. Your words have been stout [strong] against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts (Malachi 3:13,14)?
Start each day with prayer and humble yourself before the Lord, and seek to make every day a good one for Him. Then when you come to the close of each day, remember to talk to the Lord before you go to sleep. You must make sure that all is well in your life before Him; and when it is, God will always hear your prayers. Jesus knew that; and He prayed, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).
When you are righteous, you can call Jesus any time; and your prayers will go straight to the throne of God. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
The table is now spread for all God’s children; and Jesus is saying, Come and dine (John 21:12). Reach for the blessings He wants you to have. Reach for His strength, grace, love and divine faith. Speak and sing right words to yourself. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).
Child of God, make these final days on Earth great for the Lord. See how close you can get to Him and how much of His power you can use. Jesus told the disciples, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28:18-20). It is wonderful to know that all the power of Heaven is given unto those who have been saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. That power from On High will anoint you for anything you need when you are a servant of the Lord.
Ask for Forgiveness
Right words come from God’s Word, so let that Word churn up and down inside you today and bring you deliverance. The power of the Word can save your soul and set you free from any bondage or affliction. You may be an alcoholic or a drug user, and you may have been bound for many years; but you can be delivered. No matter how many devils bind you, the Word says you can be free. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).
It is time for you to be delivered and set free right now. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2).The Lord will save you if you will just humble yourself before Him. The Word says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).
If you want true salvation, pray this prayer right now: Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home; and I am going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus will wash away all of my sins and set me free. Come on in, Jesus! Come into my heart!
If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come in; and you can say, Hallelujah, He has come! Hallelujah, I am free through the holy Word! I am delivered from the devil’s powers of darkness. I am not going to drink alcohol, use drugs or use tobacco anymore; and I will live free from sin. Thank God Almighty, I’m really free!
Stay free, and all Heaven will be yours one day. Pray Bible prayers; fast the Bible way and study the Word, and you will have power from On High.
Let the Holy Spirit Come In
Now that you are saved, the Holy Ghost is available to you. John the Baptist knew Jesus would bring that Spirit to us when he said, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire (Matthew 3:11). Then Jesus commanded His disciples to receive the Spirit’s holy baptism. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). You must receive the Holy Spirit, too.
The Bible says that on the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). When you have the real Holy Ghost, you do not do the speaking yourself; the Spirit uses your holy tongue and speaks in a different and definite language. All you have to do is yield to the Spirit and keep glorifying the Lord until the Holy Ghost comes in.
Right Words Bring Miracles
If you are sick and afflicted, the Word says you can be healed. Jesus was the Word made flesh, and God sent Him to Earth not only to save our souls but also to heal our bodies. He [God] sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). I am God’s believer, and His divine gifts are in my life; and He confirms those gifts again and again with His powerful results.
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. I bring those who are bound with deadly diseases and those who are tortured with horrible pain; and I know that with your stripes, dear Jesus, they can have healing today. As the servant of the living God, I come with your supernatural gifts of miracles and healing. Heal the little deformed children. Recreate their brains and make them normal. Make the crippled ones to walk and give them life. Lord, heal those with cancer, AIDS, paralysis, heart trouble, diabetes or any other affliction they may have, those who are in pain and those who have been told there is no cure for their disease. In the name of Jesus, I inject miracle power from the divine gift of miracles into their bodies as you have ordained me to do. Heal! in the name of Jesus. Heal! in the holy name of the Lord.
The healing power is flowing to you, so take a miracle for yourself and a miracle for your child. Only believe and receive. Get well and watch your little one get well, and then write or email and tell me what happened to you today. I pray that God will be with you as the power of His Word brings you miraculous results for soul, mind and body and makes plain paths for your feet.
