God has given many mountain-peak experiences to thrill the heart of man down through the years. Noah, for instance, received the first mountain-peak experience that we read of in the Bible when that huge ark landed on Mount Ararat. He and his family survived the cataclysmic deluge that had wiped out the rest of mankind; of all the inhabitants of the world, they alone were spared destruction. With the animals that God preserved, they had been restricted to the ark for over a year. When at last the ark rested on the mountain, the vision of Noah and his family was expanded from the confining ark walls to a sweeping view of the countryside. And God spake unto Noah, saying, Go forth (Genesis 8:15,16).

In this final hour, we as God’s people must experience a great expansion of our spiritual vision as we go forth into the harvest fields of souls. We need to recognize the enemy, the heavenly host and the end-time signs being fulfilled. Knowing what God is doing, how He is moving are prime concerns of all who would be obedient to God.

Noah and his family prepared for the mountain of God; and that readiness made possible their mountain-peak experience, enabling them to fulfill that which God wanted. Total obedience to God brought them to God’s mountain.

The people on God’s mountain in this final hour must also be wholly obedient, humble with the meekness and love of their Master; for only then will they have the peace, the joy, the strength of their God. This final mountain is the place that God has willed for His children.

God Talked with Moses on Mount Sinai

To reach the top of the mountain that God has chosen for each life will demand suffering, many valley struggles, much praying, fasting and living in the Word of God. It took Moses a long time to reach his mountain, much preparation was required—and he suffered much. Finally he was ready. He had the meekness, the love of his God he needed to care for a difficult people. After watching God’s great deliverance of a nation from bondage, Moses brought them to Mount Sinai, the mountain where God said they would worship Him. God was going to come down.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai…And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice (Exodus 19:10,11,18,19). “Get ready for the third day everyone! Wash your clothes, cleanse yourselves. You must come before God clean, clean, clean,” Moses told the people. Cleanness signified the grace dispensation that was to come with Jesus when man would be born new inside, his entire life—soul, mind and body—pure and holy before God.

God could not come down on that third day to an unholy people, and neither is God coming down today to an unholy people. He will call an unholy people to repentance, to His salvation through the darkness of the night. If they will listen they will hear His voice; but He will not come down to them, to walk with them, to live with them as long as they are unclean. God would never hold the hand of the unclean and walk with them; He will not make their paths plain. Only the holy people of God, those sanctified by the blood of the Lamb can walk with God.

The Israelites were sanctified, made holy in the presence of God; and now they were ready for God to come down. Sinai was ablaze with the glory of God. All the people trembled as they witnessed the thunderings, lightnings and the voice of the trumpet. Up the sides of this smoking mountain quaking with the power of God, Moses ascended. Think of the experience…Moses on the mountain peak, listening to God telling him what to do, remembering how God had used him for the mighty miracles in Egypt and knowing God would continue to perform wonders. The overwhelming power of God is so awesome that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake (Hebrews 12:21). Angelic beings witnessed the events on that mountain as the fire blazed and the voice of the trumpet waxed louder and louder. Smoke boiled out like billows from a great furnace. The people were terrified, but for Moses something great was coming: he was going to receive the Ten Commandments. God prepared the tables of stone Himself; with the finger of God the Commandments were written. Forty days and nights Moses was on his mountain, and oh, what he received to bring down to the people! As long as Moses lived, Mount Sinai was never far from his mind.

I Will Pour Out My Spirit upon All Flesh

The children of God today will also meet God on the mountain peak, but this time it will be on the mountain peak of His greatness for the end-time hour. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:17). He will pour it out in the last days—our day—but we must reach into the heavens for the pouring out as we climb this mountain for the miracle power on top. We must climb this mountain and live in the very presence of Almighty God, walking and talking like Jesus. We must be like Jesus. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30). We must climb this mountain, claiming mountain-peak victory every day. This is no time to stumble along, wondering where we are going. We must know our way through the power of the Holy Spirit; we must recognize the hand of our God and behold His signs and wonders, identifying the Spirit of our God anywhere He manifests it. He is the Lord our God.

There Was a Prophet in the Land

In I Kings we read how God’s people failed and neglected Him, turning to idol gods. It had been a long time since there had been a prophet in the land. And then we find Elijah. He was great news as the cry went forth, “There’s a prophet in the land performing the miracles of God and speaking the words of the Lord.” Yes, and that prophet stood before King Ahab, declaring judgment as Moses had stood before Pharaoh years before. As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, Elijah said, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word (I Kings 17:1). For three-and-a-half years it didn’t rain. And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth (I Kings 18:1). Elijah was on the mount. He prayed a hole in the sky, and the rains poured down. But just before the rains came, Elijah killed all the prophets of Baal. Queen Jezebel, doting on her idol prophets, was furious. She vowed to kill Elijah, too. When Elijah heard that, he arose, and went for his life…a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take my life (I Kings 19:3,4). Many times it takes persecution to drive us higher up the Mount of God. Elijah descended Mount Carmel and plunged into a deep valley. But God had in mind a greater mountain experience for him.

Some of you may be persecuted much in this final hour to bring you into the greatness of God. Move fast with the Lord while there is yet time. It took Upper Room vision to bring the eleven disciples to the Mount of God and keep them there. Persecutions of the Early Church drove them to the mount again and again. The power of the Holy Ghost gave them vision. It takes the power of the Holy Ghost to give people real spiritual vision today. Without the power of the Holy Spirit you will not see clearly this end-time hour or recognize what the Lord is doing and how He is moving.

Elijah Learned How to Overcome Despair

Elijah was depressed in his valley to the point of wanting to die. You will often feel defeated in the valleys, but that doesn’t mean you really are defeated. When the battle is raging sore against you, the enemy brings to your mind a cunning selection of lies. He delivered a convincing story to Elijah. Elijah thought everyone had bowed down to Baal but him. But God showed His love by sending an angel to serve Elijah a cake hot from the fire and a cruse of water. Elijah ate and fell asleep. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God (I Kings 19:7,8). Forty days and nights across the wilderness Elijah traveled in the strength of that angel food. He didn’t detour but went straight for the mount. It’s wonderful to be on the mountain where God can communicate with you, where you see with God’s vision. On the Mount of God your view is clear. In the valley, it’s a different story. The Lord may tell you that you are ready to climb the mountain, but it tires you just to look at it; you think you’ll never make it. Then the persecutions start. The Lord is going to run you out of the valley right up the mountainside. If persecutions are hot enough, they make you move when nothing else will.

Elijah was discouraged to say the least. He had gotten off the track. But rather than taking him home, God shook Elijah up, for Elijah had to know the Spirit of God in order to overcome the spirit of defeat. Defeat has nothing to do with God. Know if wrong spirits are closing in on you. Recognize when the devil is lying to you. Although the devil had convinced Elijah that he was the only one remaining of God’s people, God said, Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him (I Kings 19:18). By tuning in God and tuning out the devil, Elijah overcame despair.

God Tested Elijah

God gave Elijah a lesson in discerning, so that he would not be overwhelmed in the valley again. The Lord told Elijah, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave (I Kings 19:11-13). Yes, Elijah had the spirit of discerning; however, he had been so frightened, so bewildered, so taken over in his valley by the spirit of defeat that he hadn’t recognized when the devil closed in. But things are different now as the fire is running upon the ground and the devil is saying, “That’s God, that’s God!” Elijah knew it was not, nor was God in the wind and earthquake. But after all the sound and fury, all the emotionalism, came the still, small voice. Wrapping his face in his mantle, Elijah left the cave to present himself to the Lord. Elijah was back on course. The Lord had plans for Elijah to carry out: Anoint Hazael to be king over Syria, and Jehu to be king of Israel. Anoint Elisha to be prophet in thy place. The Lord was not done with Elijah yet; someone had to be anointed and trained to fill his shoes, to carry on God’s work: Elisha.

Elijah had wanted to die. Later God would see to it that Elijah got out of the world, but not by the undertaker. God was going to send a heavenly chariot to take Elijah to Heaven alive. Never again did Elijah lose sight of his mountain, no matter how many valleys God sent him into. He kept that mountain victory, that mountain discerning, that mountain of knowledge and wisdom, that mountain of reality in God. What a heavenly atmosphere!

Elisha Asked for a Double Portion

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal…And they two stood by Jordan. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. Elisha depended upon Elijah to be his strength to cross Jordan. Imagine how Elisha felt when Elijah struck the waters and they parted! Elisha followed Elijah across, right on his heels. What a crossing that was…Elijah shouting and Elisha scrambling to keep up. And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so (II Kings 2:1,7-10). Elisha treasured the anointing of Elijah, and Elisha was determined to follow Elijah all the way although Elijah gave him every opportunity to turn back. When you really love God, you’re determined to go that extra mile, ready to pay the price in prayers, fastings and living in the Word of God. You’re willing to separate from people in order to spend time with God—if you truly want the greatness of God more than anything else.

Elisha wanted a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, and he was promised he would have it if he saw Elijah taken up to Heaven. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more (II Kings 2:11,12).

When the Rapture takes place, you like Elijah must be on your mountain that God has planned for you, that mountain of victory, that mountain of the greatness of Jesus’ love, peace, longsuffering—all the fruit of the Spirit around you, in you and upon you. You are in Him and He in you—what a glorious experience!

Jesus’ Mount of Transfiguration

In Matthew 17 we read of an incredible event taking place on a mountain top, a miraculous happening that has come down through history to this very day. Millions of God’s people have lived and relived the experience in their hearts and souls. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. (Will we recognize people in Heaven? Peter, James and John recognized Moses and Elijah right away.) Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here (Matthew 17:1-4). The glory of the Lord was upon Jesus as God the Father spoke. Behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid (Matthew 17:5,6). The disciples saw God’s beloved Son talking with Moses and Elijah who had come down to rejoice with Him. Jesus conquered the valleys; and this was His mountain, a heavenly mountain of God’s glory that God had planned for His Son.

We can say with the disciples that it’s good for us to be here, good to be on planet Earth at this time, good for us to be climbing our last great mountain; for this mountain top holds all the victory, all the miraculous outpouring that God has promised for the final hour. It is waiting for you.

Today the Bride of Jesus’ Heart Is on the Rapture Mountain

As we climb the Mount of God, we will behold the glory of God raining down, flooding planet Earth in this final hour before the Rapture. Seeing miracles in abundance, we, too, will receive the greatness of God while others are receiving. Rejoicing in the Lord our God, we will declare that the arm of our Lord is mighty in the land and that the Lord Himself is walking planet Earth for the last and final time before the Bride is taken out. And on this mountain we will discern the enemies of God. Recognizing the difference between the Spirit of God, the spirit of Lucifer and the spirit of man, we will be able to separate the spirits on this mountain that the Lord said is ours. Never has there been anything like it for man since Eden. It is glorious!

The Early Church climbed to the mount of Pentecost—but this last mountain today is for the Bride of Jesus’ heart, the apple of His eye. Never has there been such a mountain, not even for the giving of the Ten Commandments, not Noah’s mountain, not Elijah’s mountain, not even the Jesus mountain. This one will be the greatest, the highest. The heart of God will rest on top of this mountain, and the hands of the Lord will be there to serve the Bride of Christ with all righteousness, all holiness in all His greatness.

God will dry the Bride’s tears again and again as she weeps much for the lost of this old world. She will weep and weep; she will be persecuted—and He will stand her on her feet, showing His smile of approval, His kiss of gladness as He sees her clothed in His purity, in His holiness, wearing her veil of consecration and dedication. The Bride is separated from all sin, from all unrighteousness; she is indeed His great delight.

And on this high mountain as the world shakes and trembles under the impact of the pouring out of God’s power, everyone who will look toward Calvary will be given a last chance to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and to become a member of the bridal company.

Think of the greatness, of the power of God upon us! It will be worth any sacrifice, any struggle necessary to be ready when Jesus comes. The Bride will be fasted up, prayed up, read up in the Holy Scriptures. She will hug all of His promises close to her bosom to not let go. Nothing will be able to separate her from the love of God, nothing. With her consecration, her dedication, she will be like Him—without spot, wrinkle or blemish—blameless before God the Father just as His Only Begotten Son was when He was here on Earth.

Fair as the Moon, Clear as the Sun

Who is she that cometh forth as the morning? The Bride is on the mountain that God willed for her. Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, terrible as an army with banners. Who is she? She is His fairest one; she is His love, His heart, His very life. She is all that He willed and desired her to be. The Bride has His gifts, His greatness manifested, His meekness; and then she finishes her work, bringing in the last of the harvest. She has worked until the day is done. Now the midnight hour has come. Her one and only thought is the Groom, Jesus. In the darkest night she spoke His name, and He answered. She spoke His name; and the blind received their sight, the deaf heard. She spoke His name again and again, and the devils had to leave the souls of men. Trampling demons and devils underfoot, the Bride could be defeated by none of the powers of Satan.

She is the Bride, the Bride of Christ, walking on planet Earth today in the holiness of the One who adores her, in the righteousness of the One who loves her; and she dares to be different. The Bride is a separated people, a called-out people. She has gone far beyond the efforts of the lukewarm Christian to please Him, to worship and serve Him in all the greatness our Lord has for the Bride in this final hour. She will be raptured from the mountain peak of God’s miracle outpouring. Behold the Bridegroom cometh! It wasn’t easy to reach this mountain of miracle outpouring, but she is on time. Go ye out to meet Him! She is ready; she rises in great victory, in great love. Total victory, Heaven declares! Total victory, the angels sing as the Bride walks down the avenue of glory.

Jesus Is Waiting for Your Call

Lose sight of the pleasures of this world and be a part of the bridal company. Backslider, don’t die in that valley of despair, of sin and destruction. Climb out of that slime pit now. Speak the name of Jesus; He is waiting to hear you call His name. He will help you. He will bless you; and you can climb the highest mountain of all the mountains, the highest one that has ever been climbed or willed for humanity by Heaven. This is the highest mountain, saith the Lord.

Read your Bible, pray much. You can talk to Jesus now; you can talk to Heaven, for Heaven will listen to all God’s children through the wonderful name of Jesus. The Holy Word of God is your road map, and the Holy Spirit will direct you and lead you into paths of righteousness as you yield to Him. Serve the Lord; be true to Him. Go on to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Be ready; soon your Lord will come.

And on this highest mountain, God’s people will pull down the greatness of Heaven upon a lost world; and the world will have a final opportunity to accept Him or reject Him. The lukewarm Christians will never reach this mountain top. They will be somewhere in the valley of darkness when the Rapture takes place. You needn’t be with them. Plan to be on top of the mountain that God has ordained for the children of God in this final hour.

I Have Seen a Vision of This Mountain

I have been on this mountain through the Spirit of God. I have been on it, I feel, to the very end. I was walking across it side by side with Jesus in a vision in 1954. As we walked, miracles took place such as I had never seen before. The vision was filled with so much greatness of God, such love that there didn’t seem to be any hate in the whole world; nothing but peace and contentment reigned as I hung close to Him, walking by His side just like one human being walking with another. I shall never forget it. My eyes were wide in amazement in the vision as I looked at His great power to deliver the people—and deliver them He did. I was so carried away with His presence that I didn’t notice the great drapery that was coming down—not until it landed at my feet, and the Lord turned me back to make the journey in living reality to the mountain peak of God’s glory that I had just seen in the vision. I found myself again in the deep, deep valley, the trials, the persecutions of it all. Wrestling against the powers of Lucifer, I knew that I must learn my enemy. I must be able to discern the evil one and his workers. Not only that, I had to know the spirit of man; and above all, to know the Spirit of God.

One must be totally consecrated and dedicated to God in order to learn to discern between the spirits. It requires complete, one hundred percent dedication, consecration and holy living.

This is an hour of either total victory or total defeat; you are going one way or the other, saith the Lord, into the darkness of the enemy or into the total light of God. Every one of you will make your own choice; God cannot choose for you; the devil cannot choose for you. You have that profound responsibility to make your own choice. Weigh it carefully because it’s a final decision. Most who go away from God now, saith the Lord, will never get back. This is the hour of blasphemy, saith the Lord. This is the hour of blasphemy, an hour that the Spirit of God is being grieved, insulted, and trampled underfoot…a fearful hour. The devil is going to deceive everyone he possibly can.

Thus Saith the Lord

I have given you vision, I have given you knowledge of my mountain for you in this your final hour. You that are obedient to me, you who have taken on my humility and my love, you’re now climbing this mountain. You cannot let anyone stop you, and you cannot let Lucifer stop you.

The enemy will use many people to stop my people as well as the power of Lucifer himself working through his demons, but my people will be victorious because my holy people will be consecrated and yielded to my will. And my holy people will be set apart from the world and the spirit of the world at all times. My people will not be in and out, but my people will stay in with me. My people will not be a failure. My people will have great strength—my strength. My people will be kept in great love—my love, and my people will have great knowledge, great wisdom and great understanding in this last hour. And my people will be kept by the power of my Spirit. And my Holy Spirit will clothe them in all of my greatness, and they will be kept through my truth. And my truth cannot be penetrated. Nothing false can penetrate my truth. Nothing false can destroy my truth. My people will be victorious through my truth. My people—my holy people—will know the truth, and they will know my holiness and my righteousness. They will know that their hand is in my hand. They will know that my strength is flowing to them at all times. They will know that there is no fear that comes from me, that the fear comes from the enemy; and they will cast it aside as if it were dung, and they will go forth in the might of my power. They will shout a victorious shout that will be heard throughout the whole Earth. And my love will pour forth through them, and all will have an opportunity to yield to my Spirit in this final hour. Yea, yea, yea, yea…it’s yes, yes, yes, yes, saith the Lord. It’s all true, and my holy people will not doubt any of my promises and any of my truth. My people will have my great anointing; and my holy people will stand before me in all obedience, in all love, in all faithfulness as my beloved Son stood before me when He was here on planet Earth, saith the Lord.

The Bride: The Forerunner of Jesus’ Second Appearance

And the Bride cries: “Holy, holy is the Lord! We honor you, Lord, for such promises! We honor you, Lord, for such a message of encouragement. We delight our hearts in thee, oh Lord. In thee we find no fault. Thou art our Lord, our Master, our salvation and the love of our hearts.”

Those who are totally obedient to you will not fail you. We will climb this mountain, and we will reach the top. We will cross it, doing your will no matter the cost. And we will never count the cost, never, because, dear Jesus, we know that you never counted the cost for us. You paid and paid and paid until man received full deliverance. We will pay until the last person of the harvest who can be is rescued. We will not bow to the enemy in any way. We will not be contaminated with the world. We will be the voice of the Lord crying in the wilderness.

The holy people of God will make the one great voice of no compromise to penetrate all the darkness throughout the whole Earth in this final hour, speaking His truth, living His truth. Just as John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus’ first appearance, the Bride is the forerunner of His second appearance. We, the Bride, will stand full of the Holy Ghost and in all love as He did.

Lift up your heads and worship the Lord God! Pay tribute unto Him for His Word! God is speaking to His people in this final hour as we go forth climbing His highest mountain, as we go forth to reap the harvest field of souls while there is yet time. This Gospel must be preached to the whole earth, and then the end will come. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come (Revelation 22:17). Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.
