We Have Nothing without the Blood of Jesus
by Ernest Angley
April 2001
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God’s great love gift: the divine blood.
We have nothing without the blood of Jesus, but with the divine blood we have all things good. Divine blood destroyed the works of the devil when Jesus was here, and nothing less than divine blood will destroy the works of the devil today. First John 3:8, For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Identify the works of the devil and realize that you, through the divine blood and the power of the Holy Ghost, have what it takes to destroy them.
The delivering power that Jesus brought is great indeed, more valuable than all the silver and gold in the world. While many seek riches, the Bride seeks the greatness of the blood. All the power, all the great love, peace, and joy of the blood are treasured by the Bride. Her eyes are set upon the one called Jesus, the Son of the living God born of the virgin Mary, the Jesus who brought divine blood from Heaven for us to use.
God created the first man and woman and put divine blood in their veins. God never intended that blood to be contaminated; the divine blood was to preserve the body, to protect it from sin and sickness, and it did just that—until man sinned.
Jesus, the Son of God, came as our sin bearer, as our sickness bearer. He came to buy back everything for us that Adam and Eve had sold to the devil. Through His divine blood we have protection today, deliverance from sin and sickness. Himself [Jesus] took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses (Matthew 8:17).
You can’t have both the divine blood of Jesus and the things of the world; it won’t work. You can’t hold righteousness in one hand and sin in the other hand. Holiness of the Lord in your soul will never stay along with the works of the devil. The Lord Jesus said, No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24).
Which one will you serve? Through divine blood you go to the right; through the spirit of the devil you go to the left. To the right are persecutions aplenty, but along with the persecutions for righteousness’ sake comes the overcoming blood power. In Jesus you have all the power you need against the forces of the devil.
Power to Overcome
Adam and Eve in the beginning had everything they needed. They lived to do the will of God every day; they were happy in that will. God didn’t plan to watch over them night and day to make sure they didn’t stray.
God didn’t create Adam and Eve, place them in the garden, and give them a chance to choose without giving them what they needed to be overcomers. God gave them power over the devil, power to resist him. God never saves anyone without giving power to overcome the devil, power in the divine blood to overcome all the powers of hell and the sins of this world.
Do you think you can’t overcome? Without the blood of Jesus you can’t. You can join a church, shake the preacher’s hand, receive water baptism—all without the blood of Jesus—but you can’t get to God’s Heaven without the blood. It will take the blood of Jesus applied to your soul for you to enter Heaven; all unclean things are left outside. Unless the blood of Jesus washes away your sins, you’ll never see inside the gates of Glory. The divine blood that Jesus brought to this Earth will protect those gates of Glory, and no unclean person will go through. Only the blood can keep you out of hell.
I hear people say, “Oh, I don’t believe in hell”; neither do they believe in the blood of Jesus, but they will believe in both after they’re in hell. Sadly, it will be too late then for the blood to do them any good. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day (Psalm 96:2). Now is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2). Today is the time for people to accept the blood while it’s being offered.
Thank God for the overcoming Jesus-power in the blood of the Lamb! You need fear nothing. Through the blood you can trample devils underfoot, but if you try to bounce through life on ego, you will get nowhere with God. Ego and the blood of Jesus won’t mix.
The New Covenant of Salvation
Jesus came to fulfill the Law, not to do away with it. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (Matthew 5:17). The New Covenant that Jesus brought took the place of the Old Testament’s Covenant, for the blood of animals could never take away sin. The New Covenant with divine blood tore down the partition between man and God, fulfilled the Law and did away with the need for animal blood sacrifices. Jesus brought man back to his God, made it possible for man to walk with God once more; it was all done through the blood. Isn’t that wonderful! No longer would man be shut away, held at arm’s length from his God. The blood has made us nigh to Him.
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
The blood will help you to know who you are, what you are in need of and what you have in Christ Jesus. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). How can you be made new? Through the blood, of course. Through the blood you can be made brand-new.
Everything Jesus brought you in the New Covenant is through the blood. The New Covenant is a covenant of divine blood. The blood of animals couldn’t touch this covenant, couldn’t bring it about. On the Day of Atonement the people would be cleansed for a day or two, but it wouldn’t last. No, the Old Covenant couldn’t keep people out of sin. The Bible declares: The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).
See the deliverance and salvation of the New Covenant by looking through the blood. If you don’t have vision through divine blood, you won’t see the divine plan of a sinless, righteous, sanctified life.
A statement of regret many people have uttered: If I could live my life over! What they don’t understand is that without divine blood their life would be the same old weak, disappointing existence it was before. Without the blood you can’t please the Lord. People who have had a great life in Jesus are not thinking about living life over; they’re thinking about going on to an eternity with Him.
Man was created in a way that he could understand his God, understand His love, His care, His tender touch. God created man to understand all His directions so he wouldn’t desire anything else. Adam understood God; he wasn’t afraid of Him. But Adam turned from divinity. When you turn from divinity, you turn to flesh, the devil, or both.
Have you been guilty of turning from divinity since you found the Lord? Have you treasured divinity? If you have salvation you know exactly when you were introduced to divinity, exactly when you came into the blood of Jesus, the blood of living reality.
Abundant Life
Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). You can have abundant life on planet Earth only through the blood.
Do you have abundant living? I’m not talking about a mansion or a large bank account. I mean abundant spiritual life. Some people have plenty of money, but are so depressed they’re about to commit suicide. That’s not abundant life. Abundant life is having a peace that will never be destroyed, having a love that lasts for time and eternity—“joy unspeakable and full of glory.”
No one has abundant life but the blood-washed children of God. The others are deceived, thinking they need to build a life of material abundance when in reality they’re spiritually poor and in danger of going to hell any moment. They count their possessions to be abundant life, but in the coffin how much life will they have? On the other hand, when a child of God moves out of the house of clay, we can rejoice knowing that one has made it through to the riches of Heaven for all eternity. The blood tells us it isn’t goodbye; it’s just goodnight, we’ll see you in the morning. It is possible for us to live on with Jesus as the endless ages roll, to live and never die all because of the blood of the Lamb.
God’s Grace Is Sufficient
The apostle Paul went through much. In fact, three times he sought God for deliverance from a thorn in the flesh. But the Lord said to Paul, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). What kind of grace is sufficient? Blood grace, divine blood grace. The Lord’s grace was sufficient for Paul, and His grace is sufficient for us as well.
If the Lord tells you that you’re all right, that you’re safe in His grace, you can trust Him completely. Why seek the opinions of others?
People who are full of opinions are weak. Their opinions are nothing when compared to thus saith the Lord. The prophets of old didn’t tell people what they thought; they said, “Thus saith the Lord,” and it happened. The strong are full of the thoughts of God.
The promises of God belong to the blood-washed. Not one promise in the New Covenant lacks the divine blood of Jesus. His promises of deliverance, of power flow through this mighty river of divine blood that Jesus brought down. Do you think divine blood is only a few drops? No, the blood can fill all the rivers and the oceans of the world with plenty left over. There’s no scarcity of divine blood, no way to measure the greatness of it. How much divine blood is available? More than we’ll ever need.
The Wonderful Blood Seal
What you need to do is use the divine blood. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to use it, help you use it. The Holy Spirit is good at using the blood. He used the blood when you received salvation, and He sealed you with it.
There are many security seals in this world; some seals carry great penalties when broken. But never has there been a seal like the seal of divine blood on the soul of a human being. What a terrible price if you break that seal!
People can be very careful about not breaking man’s seals, yet they think nothing about breaking God’s seal, that blood seal. When you break the blood seal you have no divine protection. If your soul has been sealed with the blood—and you break that seal by committing willful sin—you’re open to being taken over by the devils at once; they’re just waiting for such an opportunity. They would like you to break that seal, and they come against you in every way they can to get you to sin against God, to turn away from God. No one else but you can break that seal of blood on your soul.
Why think you’re weak; why complain that you can’t overcome? Through the blood you can overcome anything and everything. Jesus proved He could overcome the devil when He met him head-on; He defeated the devil for you and me.
A Chain of Blood
Divine blood defeats Lucifer. When the Lord gets ready to put him into the bottomless pit, He will send only one angel after him with one chain. What is that chain? What could make a chain so strong that it would take only one to bind the devil? A chain of blood. Some people think the devil is so ferocious that nothing could hold him. He’s bluffed many. But I’ll tell you what’s more than a match for him: the blood, and we have it. The blood, the blood, the blood! One little chain of blood used in confidence by one angel, and the devil becomes helpless just like demonic spirits become helpless in our presence when we use the blood. Through the blood we command, and devils have to listen; we command them to go, and they have to go. We command them to come under subjection to the Word of God, and they have to bow.
Take your place in the blood of Jesus; take your place as a blood-washed child of God. Stand for the blood, and you’ll be standing for the truth. Until you stand through divine blood you’re not going to be standing in the truth or in divine love. Until you use divine blood you can’t use divine faith. It takes the divine blood for you to use these wonderful things.
Many people today are not using the blood; instead they use church membership, social works, and doctrines that ignore the reality of the divine blood. They’re like people in Old Testament days under the Law who didn’t stay out of sin. Once in a while they pray, act like they’re forgiven; but soon they’re right back to the old paths.
You must use the blood, the blood, the blood! People who say they can’t live free from sin are not using the blood.
A Mind of Peace
The New Covenant tells us to take on the mind of Christ. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). Although Jesus took on a human mind, it was operated and covered with divine blood. He was very man as well as very God, and He used divine blood for the mind to show us that we, too, can use divine blood for our mind. We can have wonderful, holy thoughts; and the blood of Jesus will help us to ward off the bad ones, to shoot the bad thoughts down. We will find ourselves thinking of the things that edify, the things that bless. We’ll have so many good thoughts crowding in that there won’t be time for the confusion, depression and oppression that some people are having. Wake up to the fact that you don’t have to let the devil torment your mind, for you can use the blood. He is our peace (Ephesians 2:14).
The reason that mind battles are defeating some of you is that you don’t know what you can have through the blood. Decide that the blood works. Jesus brought you freedom from all sin through the blood, a new and living way.
Freedom Depends On How You Use the Blood
Jesus said, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). When the Son sets you free, you’re blood free indeed, divine blood free. Divine blood is anything but bondage; it brings liberty and true freedom. But some of you who are free of sin are still in bondage: You’re in bondage in your mind, your thoughts, your opinions.
Are you going to enjoy this freedom Jesus brought, or are you going to live in bondage? What are you going to do? Freedom in the Lord depends on how you use the blood. You can let the devil spin you around in circles; you can live in fear, or you can step out and walk the waters of life through the blood of Jesus. Nothing can defeat you or cast you down when you depend on the blood. Through the blood you can rise above everything ungodly in this last hour, everything that comes from the devil.
One of the multitudes of destructive works of the devil is shooting bad thoughts to the children of God. Some Christians are continually feeling troubled and guilty. A thought bringing fear comes to their mind, and they feel sure the devil is going to get them. They can’t seem to get that thought out of their mind, and that’s exactly how the devil wants them to react. If they’re not worrying about today, they’re worrying about yesterday; and if they’re not worrying about today or yesterday, they’re worrying about tomorrow. The devil is deceiving. Use the blood on these kind of thoughts.
The blood cleanses; the blood delivers; the blood sanctifies. The blood, as you yield to it, can sanctify your mind to the extent that thoughts won’t trouble you. Any thought that doesn’t have a landing place will have to pass you by like a plane flying away from an airport when there is no place to land. The devil can’t plant something in your mind unless you let him. Plead the blood; use the blood on your mind. The devil fears the blood. Through the blood you can render the devil helpless when he comes against you.
Why go around in fear, frustration, despair when you can have peace, joy? How much peace did you have today? What kind of peace was it? Did you have blood peace, or did you have kinfolk peace? Kinfolk peace is not very much peace sometimes, but blood peace is serenity for the soul.
When you don’t have peace, stop and examine why. Talk to yourself: Now this won’t work; this is not blood peace; and I’m blood-washed, blood-covered, blood-bought. The blood belongs to me; the divine blood of Jesus is a gift to me. There’s peace for my heart and mind in this divine blood, and I’m going to use it. I’m going to have peace. Isn’t it wonderful to have the peace of God!
The devil’s war is all around you, but you have peace if your soul, mind and spirit are covered with the blood of Jesus. That which you put under the blood is safe; and as long as you keep your mind under the blood, you’ll be safe. The blood is a refuge for you. When the devil begins to close in, realize that you can rush into the blood through faith.
The Blood of the Lamb Delivers
Acknowledge the blood strength, the blood power against the devil. If you think your thoughts are wonderful, edifying, and a blessing to you, don’t run into the blood. But if you need deliverance, plunge into the blood at any time; it’s your right. This fountain has been opened for you, this fountain of divine blood, divine life, divine help, divine strength. All the power in the blood is yours; Jesus brought it all. He made it possible for you to enjoy life this side of Heaven.
Happiness Is Power over the Devil
If you want to be a soul winner, be happy, blood happy. Blood happiness is power over the devil, victory over the devil. That which Jesus came to destroy, you’re destroying: the works of the devil. If you can’t destroy the work the devil is bringing against your mind, it’s because you’re failing to use the blood. You can’t help yourself without the blood, but with the blood you’re not helpless; you belong to the family of God, and the birthright of divine blood is yours. Born new through divine blood, you’re a son or a daughter of God.
Do you believe that Jesus was tormented to death in His mind, that He let thoughts and despair get Him down? Could you possibly think that Jesus became so discouraged and depressed that He didn’t know whether He was going to make it or not, that He didn’t even know what His mission was sometimes? No real child of God would believe those things.
Where is your place in the Lord? Do you act like Him, talk like Him, believe like Him? Walk in the same steps He walked; take the steps He took. How can you do all of that? Through the blood.
The Blood and the Word Are Inseparable
The blood of Jesus is for you to use; you can’t leave it out. Whatever problem you put under the blood is conquered. It doesn’t have to talk conquered; it doesn’t have to play conquered, and it doesn’t have to look conquered. But it will be conquered because the Bible tells us, They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11). Saints of God were victorious by the Word of God that they put in their testimony. It’s impossible to use the blood without the Word of God, and you can’t have the Word working in your heart without the blood. The blood and the Word are inseparable. Word power, blood power, and the blood name of Jesus are for you to use.
Many people don’t use the name of Jesus with the blood; they don’t associate it with the blood. They pray in the name of Jesus, but nothing happens. More is involved in reaching God than merely saying the name of Jesus; the key to reaching Him is in the blood name of Jesus alone. The divine blood name is what we must use. In the name of Jesus you use the divine blood of Jesus.
Without divine blood, Jesus would have been just another man. Some people look on Him that way because they don’t recognize divine blood. The devil would like us all to think there was nothing divine about Him. Mary the mother of Jesus knew better; she knew who He was, knew He had divine blood.
Many people, even ministers, don’t believe in the divine birth of Christ, the virgin birth. They have nothing to overcome the devil with, no foundation for Heaven; and hell will be their destiny. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11). A spiritual foundation lacking divine blood will not stand. Dig down to the foundation and get every grain of sand out of the way before you start building. If you build on sand, your house will fall. The Bride won’t build on sand; not one grain of sand will be between her and her foundation. She will know in whom she has believed.
Contented in Jesus
Paul’s life displayed the qualities the Bride of Christ must have. It looked as though he stood alone sometimes, but Paul was never alone. Wherever God wanted him, he went. He wrote: For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content (Philippians 4:11). Being content in the Lord in whatever state you find yourself is blood contentment.
It takes the blood of Jesus to make you truly contented. Man isn’t made to be contented without divinity working within. The blood of Jesus brings divine power, divine glory, divine love, divine faith to help tear down the walls of opposition. Divine blood can help you rise up unafraid of the den of lions and the powers of the devil. Using divine blood, you can stand forth knowing in whom you have believed.
You must become Jesus blood conscious to really be victorious in this last hour. The world church is large, but the Jesus blood Church doesn’t need great numbers of people in order to be the most powerful Church on planet Earth. The world church is going to be destroyed, but the Jesus blood Church will be victorious over all the powers of the devil, and will rise in the air when Jesus comes to claim His Bride.
Blood Faith Believes All God’s Promises
Use all of this wonderful, marvelous blood faith. You can use it because Jesus said all we have to do is only believe (Mark 5:36). Believe through divine blood, not through your own little mind. Believing must come from a blood-covered, washed-clean heart.
The only way you can really carry the faith of God and use it is to carry it in a blood-washed soul. You must be blood-washed to use that blood faith.
Stories of divine faith are recorded in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews—by faith—divine faith. It was divine faith that Abraham, the father of the faithful, received. He was a wonder in his faith. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure (Hebrews 11:17-19). Divine faith led Abraham to offer Isaac, faith to believe that if he killed Isaac, God would resurrect him because God had promised to raise up a nation through Isaac, and God could not lie. That’s true divine faith. When we come to the place that we believe God the way we should, we won’t doubt anything He tells us.
Many Christians struggle much of their lives away fighting against doubt, fighting to know if God will really do what the Bible says He will do. I think He will; I hope He will! Oh, God do! Oh, God please! No wonder so many people are upset much of the time; they don’t settle down in the blood faith and love of Jesus knowing everything is fine in the hands of God.
Faith That Closed the Lions’ Mouths
The Lord gives wonderful examples of what His faith will do. He put His great faith into a young boy’s heart, a boy who hadn’t sinned against God but was sold into slavery, abused in many, many ways, carried away to a godless kingdom. There he grew to manhood and to a place of honor. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm (Daniel 6:3).
Three times a day Daniel opened his window to pray toward Jerusalem. The jealous princes went to the King. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree (Daniel 6:7-9).
You can’t pray to your God, Daniel was told. But divine faith said: I will do it! I will pray to my God; nothing will stop me! Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime (Daniel 6:10). Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee (Daniel 6:16). Thrown into the lions’ den for his faith, Daniel was unhurt.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt (Daniel 6:19-22). God sent an angel who closed the lions’ mouths.
Divine faith in the blood will let you know in your spirit—the way Daniel knew—that nothing is impossible with God, nothing can stop you, nothing can hold you back.
I’ve seen some people too discouraged to pray, and there wasn’t a den of lions waiting for them, no decree against praying. Some will say If my wife would live for God, or If my husband would live for God, I would, too. I’ve seen that. I knew a woman who was battled over serving God. Her husband was mean, bitter about her dedication; but one day he got saved, and then the wife began to drift away from God. Why? Because she thought now that he wasn’t mean any longer, now that he didn’t lock her out when she went to church, it meant she didn’t have to pray as much. That’s what the devil wanted. He doesn’t want anyone to pray. When her husband was unsaved she had to be prayed up to survive.
Don’t let the devil defeat you; defeat him instead. There are ways to defeat the devil, and to use them you have to be very determined in your spirit. The devil will work on you through people if you don’t bring those demons under subjection. You may not think you can control yourself, but there’s control through the blood of Jesus, power in the blood of Jesus to overcome.
Under the Old Covenant, all kinds of greatness were manifested. God’s divine faith was given to many, and they were able to use it because they loved God so much. The Elijah’s, the Elisha’s, and others used the power and gifts of God.
We live in the Jesus blood age, the divine time for God’s people. Divinity is working as it worked in the Garden of Eden. We can have the peace, the joy, the power, and the healing from Heaven. Jesus is our sickness bearer. With His blood stripes we are healed. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The divine blood of Jesus heals when you put your sicknesses under the blood. Divine blood destroys sicknesses and diseases.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). All good and perfect gifts come from the Lord—and sickness is not a perfect gift; it doesn’t come from the Lord. Jesus destroyed sicknesses and diseases. He healed blind and deaf people, made crippled limbs well, even raised the dead. Through divine blood Jesus destroyed the hand of death over people, set them free and brought them to life. The blood, the blood, the blood!
Jesus spoke and what He said came to pass. It was a blood voice that cried: Lazarus, come forth (John 11:43)! Had it not been a divine blood voice, Lazarus would have never come out of that tomb. It will be a divine blood voice that calls the bodies of our loved ones out of their graves on the great resurrection morning, a voice of divinity.
The Disciples Walked in the Steps of Jesus
Through the blood the apostles commanded and miracles took place. As Peter and John went to the temple to pray, they met a man who had never walked. Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:6-8). What did Simon have? He had divine blood, and he had divine faith operated through divine blood. He cried in the blood name of Jesus: Rise up and walk! and the miracle happened. The affliction went under the blood, and the man was made whole. He didn’t even have to be taught to walk; he began leaping.
If you are a crawling, sliding Christian, it’s time to stand up; it’s time to know you can walk. The Bible didn’t tell you to crawl after Jesus; it said you should walk in His steps, walk in the Spirit. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21). If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). There’s strength for you to walk in the Lord. The Bride is going to walk; she’s going to get her work done. Decide to be nothing less than a Jesus blood-washed child of God.
Receive a True Holy Ghost Baptism
When you’re really born of the Spirit of God, you won’t be easily confused about the Holy Ghost. The reason most people are fooled about talking in tongues at will, prophesying in tongues at will is that they haven’t been saved; they just thought they were. Had they really been saved and blood washed, saith the Lord, their soul would have been crying out for the real Holy Ghost; and they wouldn’t have accepted a counterfeit. The blood would have helped them to have understanding.
If you can be deceived about the Holy Ghost, you can be deceived about salvation. With the evidence the Lord gives for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, no one should be deceived about the experience.
Never let someone teach you to speak in tongues. The Holy Ghost is the one who does the speaking as He did on the Day of Pentecost: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).
Even before I had blood-washed salvation, I knew there was a real Holy Ghost. As a child I couldn’t have been fooled. I had seen the Holy Ghost, divinity, at work. Day after day I saw divinity working in my two older sisters. They had received a supernatural baptism. No one taught them to speak in tongues at will, and I never saw either one doubting her baptism.
The reason many people don’t know whether or not they have the Holy Ghost is that they don’t have Him. If you have the Holy Ghost, He’ll make Himself real to you. If you don’t have that kind of experience, go to the altar and receive it. This thing of playing around with divinity is dangerous; and counterfeiting the works of divinity is more than dangerous; it’s destructive.
How many signs, wonders, miracles and healings are taking place in the Pentecostal movement as a whole today? How many devils are really being cast out? God’s disgusted with those who teach people to speak and sing in tongues at will.
Reach for the All-Powerful Blood of Jesus
Godly parents can decide what a child needs, and God the Father can definitely decide what we need. It’s time for us to grow up in the Lord through the blood of Jesus and the power of God. It’s time to recognize the blood of Jesus Christ is all-powerful, that it belongs to us, and that divinity is against all sin and sickness.
Some people fight miracles and healings, but how can they fight any part of divinity, how can they fight any of the power of God and really be saved? My people were Baptist, but they didn’t fight the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Had they been critical, they would have been left out. They kept their hands off what they didn’t understand, and the Lord blessed them with the Holy Ghost. Isn’t that wonderful!
Jesus took us into His blood; He Himself did it, the divine one, not man. Man has tried to take divinity into his own hands; he’s tried to operate speaking in tongues his way. When I was a little boy I never dreamed that some Pentecostals would come to the place they are today: lifeless and lukewarm. The Lord said, I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:15,16).
Where are those all-night prayer meetings, those times of fasting and tarrying before God? Prayer, fasting and living in the Word are the reasons God blesses as He does. Through the blood of Jesus I cry out against all the false, against that which is wrong. I give you the truth, and that’s the reason so many are free today and know how to use the promises of God.
The new birth is through the blood of Jesus; He is our foundation. We know the foundation we build on; we know the strength of it, the power in the divine blood that saved and delivered us and made us new creatures in Christ Jesus. How astounding to look at the old you after the blood has made you brand-new! It’s an amazing change. The world can’t understand this salvation; it has to be experienced to be understood. Hearing about the blood is not enough; you need to sample it, find out for yourself the wonders of the born-again experience, the results of the blood for you.
No one could be more shocked over receiving salvation than I was. I didn’t know there was that much life and sweetness in the blood; I didn’t know all there was for me. Comparing the old you with the new you makes you a true believer in the blood.
Don’t look at someone else to decide how much power is in the blood. Take the blood into your heart and soul; let it cleanse you, make you brand-new. The blood gives you the power to think straight, walk straight, act straight and be straight on your way to Glory walking a straight path. Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14). You find it through the blood.
A Love So Strong You Love Even the Souls of Your Enemies
At Samaria, the people did not receive him [Jesus], because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did (Luke 9:53,54)? They didn’t understand the marvelous blood love their Master taught.
Had you seen Jesus call down fire to destroy people and then heard Him say He loved everybody, you would have been confused and probably walked away from Him. But no, Jesus didn’t call fire down. He turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them (Luke 9:55,56). Some of you didn’t think you could love your friends very long at a time much less your enemies, but the blood taught you that kind of love. Although the blood contains a love so strong you love your enemies, it’s their souls you love and not their evil ways. God hates their ways, too.
Divine love gives much strength beyond all human love. Divine blood love believeth everything that God has ever said, everything He is saying. Using His divine blood love, you are seeing and feeling as God sees and feels; His love speaks as God speaks. Wherever you find God’s love, no matter what vessel is carrying it, it’s still the love of God, gentle, kind, and never puffed up. What a marvelous love is divine love!
I’ve seen divine love in many different human vessels, in many different personalities; and it’s the same everywhere it’s found. Divine love is humble, has no ego, and it doesn’t lift people up in their own spirit of self.
Through the blood you have the Jesus humility, the forgiveness of Jesus, and you forgive everything that anyone has ever done to you. Some people, however, don’t feel they can forgive. They aren’t spreading the Gospel because their feelings are hurt and they’re waiting for someone to beg their forgiveness. It doesn’t matter whether people ask your forgiveness or not. What matters is winning the lost, bringing them in and being ready when Jesus comes. Jesus said, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). Your enemies can be blessings in disguise when their persecutions drive you deeper in the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord! After you find salvation, give yourself over to the greatness of the blood, to the joy in the blood.
Heaven’s Happiness Is Unwavering
How happy are you? Are you really happy, blood happy? Will you be happy when you wake up tomorrow? Will you be happy at noonday? Heaven’s eternal joy doesn’t have to wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Heaven’s joy is the same today as yesterday, and it will be the same tomorrow as it’s been today, the same in Heaven as it is right down here now.
What kind of peace do you have? Is it fleeting or is it eternal? The Lord has sent you eternal joy, eternal peace. Will you use it?
When you were born again, the Holy Ghost sealed you with eternal blood. He sealed you in the blood with eternal happiness, eternal grace, eternal peace, eternal everything good. How much of it are you enjoying? It’s time to act on what you have. Don’t let the devil deceive you. If you really believe the things of God, act on them; become so satisfied in His greatness that others will see His greatness in you.
Rivers of Living Water
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). This mighty river is flowing, flowing, flowing: Get in on it; it’s life. From your innermost being shall flow rivers of living water when you have Jesus in your heart through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Do rivers of sadness, rivers of frustration, rivers of despair flow from you? It needn’t be that way. The greatness of God is contained in the soul of each born-again Christian, that river of joy, peace, grace and greatness. Let His greatness flow from you to others. Because there is no limit to the capacity of the soul, it’s from your innermost being, from your soul that rivers of living water will flow when you are born again. Through the blood that flow will come forth, through divinity. Take all the Lord has for you in this river of peace, joy, and gladness. It’s the flow of the Holy Spirit, and He’s ready to flow the greatness of God to all of us. Be a filled-up vessel, a vessel filled and refilled.
You can’t have the Holy Ghost without divine blood. Divine blood has to cleanse the temple of clay before the Holy Ghost will move in.
Get ready for the blood to be used in your life. We’re taking this blood message to the lost, and we must act through the blood ourselves so others can see we have something different from what they have. If we act as worried as they are, how are they going to tell the difference? If we are as frustrated as they, if we don’t have any more answers than they have, how are they going to tell the difference? If we aren’t lit up through divine blood, what’s going to happen? We’re going to miss souls.
Glory in the Cross
How many souls have you missed by having a long face instead of a smile? You smile; the sun comes up. People see that blood joy, and they know you have something they don’t have. They don’t understand all about it, but they recognize happiness. Even a child can recognize happiness, peace, and joy.
I’ve seen people who didn’t feel religious unless they were sad. Their many troubles and trials made them feel pious. Oh my cross is so heavy! they groan. Divine blood turned the Cross of Christ into the most glorious wonder for the human race that has ever been. Paul said, But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world (Galatians 6:14).
How could Paul glory in the Cross? Because his message was Jesus Christ, and him crucified (I Corinthians 2:2). Jesus Christ and divine blood were Paul’s message; that was all he needed. Paul’s message is our message today, the Bride’s message, the message we’re taking to the world. It’s the blood message, and nothing less will do.
Devils Flee the Blood
I preach the blood and devils flee; I preach the blood and souls are prepared for Heaven. I preach the blood on foreign soil and people are blood washed by the thousands in moments of time—that’s the power in the blood! Thousands are delivered from devil possession in a matter of moments through the power in the blood, through the grace of God, the goodness and mercy in the blood. When the devil-possessed are coming against me, I must know what I have to use. I use none of my spirit; it has no power to cast those devils out, but I know blood power will do it. I know there’s a blood name no demon can resist; the blood name of Jesus.
We overcome by the blood; we’re sanctified by the blood, saved, justified and made holy through the blood, fit subjects for Heaven. We must use the blood, look upon it and know its value.
How much value do you put on the blood; how much trust do you put in the blood? Tell me what kind of life is yours. Through the blood of the Lamb you have eyes that can see all the way to Heaven, ears that can hear what the Spirit is saying. But ears that are not blood washed, not kept blood washed, won’t hear what the Spirit is saying.
If you’re dull of hearing, you’re not using the blood. Instead, you’re using someone else’s opinions, listening to the wrong voices. Clinging to opinions and not the Word of God puts you in trouble. It’s time to wake up, time to know who you are and what you are in the Lord. Recognize your birthright; realize what family you’re in, and that you can rely on the family of God.
Who are you and where are you going? If you don’t have knowledge through the blood that you’re on your way to Heaven, then you’re going the other way. The way to Heaven is straight and narrow; but the road to hell is broad, and on the broad road you can do whatever you want.
Are you doing whatever you want to do? Then you’re on the road to hell. If self is out of control, you’re on the wrong road: Face reality. But if you’re measuring up to the Word of God, you’re going to Heaven.
Have Zeal to Use the Blood
The blood has all living reality in it, the intelligence of God, the knowledge and the wisdom of God and His truth. That’s the reason I’m shouting this message to the world in this final hour: The blood, the blood! In the blood we have everything! Use it!
I rejoice in the blood of Jesus! I’m forever singing about the blood, thinking about the blood, shouting Hallelujah! for the blood of Jesus. The blood is your great weapon. I use the blood; all that I need is in the blood, and all that you need is in the blood, too.
Feel the zeal to start using the blood anew. Let the blood pull you out of disappointments and hurt. Don’t listen to your feelings. The Bible doesn’t say you need feelings; it says, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Feelings have nothing to do with obedience to God; the devil can work through feelings. It’s the faith of God that we must live by. When Jesus brought the blood, He didn’t tell us it was a gift from the great supply of feelings. The good Lord knew the human race didn’t need any more feelings. Jesus brought faith, blood faith; and in blood faith is the way you’re to live. Thank God we’re on this highway of holiness, a blood walk, a Jesus blood faith walk all the way!
Salvation and Healing Are in the Blood for You
The blood—do you have it? Are you blood washed? Are you living that sinless life? The blood and sin won’t mix. Sin can’t get into Heaven. In a split second sin can all be washed from a human heart, from a human life and cast into the sea of forgetfulness, buried so deep that it can never come back up to be remembered against you by God. That’s the power in the blood.
If you don’t have a blood-washed soul, say the sinners’ prayer with me: Oh, God, I have sinned against you, and I know that it will take divine blood to wash away all my sins. Forgive me of my sins. I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus! Come on in!
If you believed that prayer, now you can cry, Hallelujah, He has come! Hallelujah, Jesus is mine!
You who are sick and afflicted, remember, with His divine blood stripes you have healing, divine healing. I am not a healer but I believe in the power of prayer. I am God’s instrument whom He uses to pour His power through to work His will for people. He is the one.
Lord, in obedience to your Word I bring the people to you today. Lay a healing hand on the sick and afflicted. We know you paid the price; we know you gave your divine blood, and with your blood stripes we have physical healing. Lord, in your holy, holy name, from your supernatural gifts of healing it comes all because of your wonderful divine blood. Heal, I pray! Heal, in the all powerful blood name of Jesus! Amen and amen.
Did you feel His presence? That’s your sign. Decide you’re going to get well, or your child is going to get well. The Lord is the healer; honor Him; glorify Him; thank Him.
Write and let me know how the Lord has moved for you. Live for the Lord, serve Him, and you can only serve and please the Lord through the blood, the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. We have nothing without the blood of Jesus, and with the blood we have everything, even eternal life.
