We Are Blessed Beyond Compare
by Ernest Angley
November 2007
When born-again Christians check their blessings, they find that they are blessed beyond compare. Jesus told His disciples, But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them (Matthew 13:16,17).
Throughout the ages, men and women of God desired to see and hear what the disciples saw and heard. The coming of the Messiah had been prophesied; the prophets knew He would bring greatness, but they didn’t understand all about it. Jesus spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Therefore [said Jesus] speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand (Matthew 13:3,10,13). When Jesus was teaching His disciples privately, He explained the parables. Jesus was saying that those who didn’t want to see or hear the truth didn’t deserve to know it. Their motives were not good. Therefore, Jesus taught the public in parables, but He taught the disciples in living reality the meaning of each parable.
Many prophets and righteous men had desired to see what the disciples were seeing, prophets both major and minor. Jesus was letting the disciples know that they were greatly blessed to be on planet Earth at that time. We, too, are greatly blessed to have the opportunity to read about Him in His Holy Word and to have the Holy Ghost as our teacher and guide.
Do You Have Understanding of the Hour?
Without grumbling or complaining be willing to do anything and everything for Calvary’s sake. Every one of us should be on duty twenty-four hours around-the-clock. We have understanding of this hour, understanding that Jesus is soon coming. Unbelievers don’t understand this hour, don’t understand the endtime signs. Fighting the great miracles of God in this hour, they try to do away with the manifestations of God. They fight the unsurpassed love of God, the almighty, pure heart of God and His righteousness and holiness.
Many unbelievers attend church on Sunday, but their eyes are still red from their drinking the night before. Although they may teach Sunday school, it doesn’t matter; their church is like a dead cemetery with a dead man in the pulpit and dead people in the pews. If you don’t have a place to sleep, that kind of a church is a good place to go to.
In a strange city without a place to sleep, you might try a cemetery. Pick out a nice grassy grave, and if someone comes around just rise up slowly and say in a scary voice, “I’m coming up!” They won’t stay long. You won’t need a gun or a club; the grave will be the safest place. But spiritually speaking, the graveyard of a dead church is a most dangerous place.
Prophets of Old Would Have Rejoiced
We’re alive in this church; we four preachers are trying to resurrect everyone we can into the greatness and power of God. We love the manifestations of the Lord. How the prophets would have rejoiced could they have seen this day!
Isaiah the prophet said the Messiah would come. Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14). Isaiah said, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Isaiah wanted to see Jesus here on Earth. He wanted to see the coming of the Lord, the great miracles that had been prophesied.
The Old Testament prophets saw miracles. Moses had the vision of the coming of Jesus. Moses said, The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken (Deuteronomy 18:15). Many prophets were aware of the coming of Jesus, and they longed to see it. In Moses’ day the Israelites saw great miracles, and the miracles today are growing greater and greater until the seas will open up to take us to the ends of the earth. This Gospel must be preached to all nations confirmed with signs, wonders, miracles and healings; and then the end will come.
A Requirement to Make the Rapture: The Holy Ghost
We’re almost to journey’s end. The only thing between us and one flight out is souls. Of over six billion souls on planet Earth, the majority are unsaved. They not only need salvation to get out of here at the Rapture, they need the Holy Ghost baptism. The Bible teaches it.
Three different times the Lord has personally told me that those who remain on Earth until Rapture Day will need the Holy Ghost to be changed. The change will come from the inside. The Lord told me the change was not death, that death wouldn’t have a chance. Before death could reach out and touch those ready to be changed, the change would have already taken place and they would be caught up in a twinkling of an eye to be with the Lord.
The Word of God is Your Safety
We have more understanding of this hour than the prophets of old; still there is a lot more to know. When the Lord tells me something He takes me into the Scripture to teach me His Word. He told me in the divine visitation in 1954, when I spent so many days and nights with the Lord that I lost count, that the Bible would be my safety. Although I wasn’t fasting, I ate very little food; I didn’t need it. I was full of God. Sleep didn’t matter; the voice of God was what counted.
Every vision, every manifestation in my services I was to take to the Word of God. That way I would never get into modernism, never get into fanaticism. I would live in truth and stay in truth, for the truth kills out the false. What we have is all true, all real and we’re taking it to the world.
They Didn’t Understand
The Lord talked to me when we were planning to go into Lesotho the first time. Then He let me know before the ministers’ meeting what the trouble was in that nation. The people were in ignorance, using witchcraft, voodooism and all the darknesses of the devil that they cared to reach for. Those darknesses were brought into the churches and mixed with the Gospel. The people didn’t know any better.
As I taught the truth to the preachers, they shed that ignorance the way one would shed off a heavy coat. Then as I preached to the people in the crusades, the same thing happened to acres and acres of people. In a great way they reached up for the pure Gospel. The first time in Lesotho we had a Holy Ghost rally; it’s hard to tell how many were baptized in the Holy Ghost after they accepted Jesus through the blood.
The prophets of old didn’t understand about the blood. Even the angels who work with us don’t understand what it’s like to be redeemed through the blood because they’ve never needed to be redeemed. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into (I Peter 1:10-12). The Bible, speaking of angels, says, Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)? We are blessed.
Do You Doubt Your Salvation?
If you don’t know whether or not you’re saved, you need to get enough salvation to know you have it; it’s to be that real. As long as you know you’re breathing, you can know you’re saved.
But, Preacher, the devil worries me!
Of course he does. He wouldn’t be the devil if he didn’t worry you, if he didn’t try to make you doubt anything the Lord gives you. He tried to make Jesus doubt. He tried to make Jesus doubt His mission, tried to make Jesus doubt that He owned the world He had helped to create—Jesus, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him (Colossians 1:14,16). The devil acted as though he owned it all, but he owned nothing; he is a bluffer, a liar.
Be Ashamed to Doubt God
When the devil stops trying to make you doubt what you get from God, you’ll know you’re on the devil’s side. When he’s not after you it’s a good sign he has already caught up with you. But in this hour of the knowledge of the Holy Ghost’s power from on High, recognize that God is with you and the Holy Ghost is taking you through. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (I John 4:4). What are you afraid of? Why do you hold back? Why don’t you give over to the Spirit of God? Why don’t you give over to God’s love, God’s faith? Why will you doubt?
It amazed the Lord that His disciples would doubt Him. He walked the waters, raised the dead and yet they had doubts. Seeing Him die, they thought it was all over with, but it was shake-up time. Then He was resurrected and it was wake-up time! They became believers; even doubting Thomas finally believed.
People ought to be ashamed to say they doubt God, ashamed to brag about their doubt. Doubt the devil; he’s the one who lies. God is all truth.
Be Delighted to Work for the Lord
We should be enjoying this time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, happy to be on planet Earth during this latter rain. Never turn down anything you can do for the Lord, no matter how small it may look. To help Jesus in gathering souls in any way is wonderful, so keep busy. When I received salvation my thought was “Give me something to do for Jesus.” Anything others didn’t want to do in church I was ready to do. I jumped right into the youth service; if someone became unavailable to carry out his or her duty, they could call on me to fill in. I was blessed of the Lord; I’d been to Calvary and the Upper Room. I was baptized in the Holy Ghost and even today I haven’t gotten over the wonder of Him yet.
Jesus said, But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me (Acts 1:8). When I received that power from On High I had no trouble giving up the world; I was no longer drawn to it. Some people struggle in giving up the world because they don’t want to give it all up. They still listen to the world’s music; they continue to look at things of the world, and God is seeing it all.
Do You Have a Mind of Peace?
What kind of mind do you want? Do you want the mind of Jesus? What do you want on your mind? Some people who call me for prayer need to cleanse their house before I pray. Over the phone I hear the radio or TV blaring out in the background. I feel like telling them to shut off the noise.
If you’re so sick that you need prayer, you’re too sick to listen to anything of the world. In fact, that may be the reason you’re sick; you got your mind off God. To be healed, God and His powerful promises of healing need to be the center of your thoughts. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee (Isaiah 26:3). When you don’t have peace, your mind is not on the Lord.
The mind of Christ is willed to you. The Lord gave me 141 ingredients that made up the mind of Jesus, and I put them in my book the Mind of Christ. Jesus had a human mind and He used those 141 ingredients straight from the Throne of God. At the end of that book is an examination the Lord wants you to take to find out how much of the mind of Jesus you have. What you don’t have, the Bible says you can add. The prophets of old would have loved to have had all that is in this book. They would have treasured the mind of Christ, but they couldn’t have it. Although those holy men and women possessed good, pure minds, they didn’t have the mind of Jesus.
When Jesus took on the form of flesh, a flesh mind, He had divine blood in His veins as well as in His soul. We can have that divine blood in our soul as well, and that soul will live as long as God lives.
Abraham Looked for the City of God
Although Abraham was close to God, had more insight into God than anyone else in his day, it still was not the insight that we can have under Calvary. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; he went out not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews 11:8-10). Abraham took his family; they camped out in tents while he was seeking that city of God. With this great revelation he was on his way. Did he find that city? Yes, but it wasn’t just like he thought. He found it at the end of his life’s journey. He didn’t have the understanding that we have.
We know where the city is; the Will tells us about the streets of gold, the gates of pearl, the twelve foundations garnished with all kinds of precious stones. The precious stones that many people have sold their souls for here on Earth are used in Heaven for pavement and foundations. God wants you to know that gold and silver don’t matter to Him. What He looks for in people is righteousness and holiness. Without holiness you will never see His face.
Sin Changes Everything
Man created in the Garden of Eden was in the image of God with a miniature mind like God’s mind. It wasn’t necessary for Adam to take on the mind of Jesus, he already had it. He was created with it. Because he was meant to live forever in a tabernacle of clay without sin, divine blood was in his veins. But sin changed everything.
People today would consider it astounding were a person to live to 150—even though that person would be dried up, weak, feeble. But Adam and Eve were meant to live forever, staying young, strong, and healthy all the time. Divine blood would have done it. Divine blood is what heals people today of all manner of sicknesses and diseases. It heals people of death diseases. The Lord has given me insight into the divine blood, insight which the prophets of old didn’t have. Although they didn’t understand how it would work, they knew a little about it, I’m sure. Moses, in fact, found out quite a lot about the blood as the Lord used that divine blood through him in a great way. He had the power of the Holy Ghost in his life, the miracles of the Lord.
If people really have the Holy Ghost it will show up in their lives in a miraculous way, for the Holy Ghost is miraculous. In order for Him to live and dwell inside and stay with you, you must be saved and have a clean, holy tongue for Him to use.
Think how people have mimicked the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues at will! Now one of the largest Pentecostal denominations has begun to preach that the Rapture will not take place. The church claims it will be the one to bring in the Kingdom. Although that false doctrine has been out for years, we hadn’t heard of any large Pentecostal organization becoming involved in it. Now we have. That organization has been growing colder and colder, prophesying at will, talking in tongues at will, and they’re in trouble with God.
The God of Miracles Lives!
You don’t want to be in trouble with God; you want the power of the Holy Ghost, the real Holy Ghost. In my services I don’t allow anyone to try to teach others to speak in tongues. If someone says to you, “Listen and talk like I talk,” get away from them fast. That self-speech has nothing to do with the Holy Ghost. If you are truly baptized in the Holy Ghost, He is the one to do the talking while you furnish the vocal organs and the pure heart for it to happen. The Holy Ghost will talk because it’s promised. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32).
Moses witnessed this greatness of the power of the Holy Spirit. He had the wonderful gift of faith that saw the waters of the Red Sea separate, that brought great miracles and healings to all the people. The Psalmist said, He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Psalm 105:37). Not a weak person was among the Israelites when God brought them out of Egypt.
The Hebrews used the blood of the lamb on the doorposts that first Passover night. The blood of the Lamb, Jesus, on the doorpost of your heart will heal you. On the doorpost of your soul that divine blood will make you whole; it will take paralysis from your body, heal the damage that was done and you’ll be able to walk and talk the way you could when you were healthy. Your mouth will go back into place; I’ve actually seen it happen before my very eyes. The God of miracles lives!
We’re seeing great and mighty wonders take place in this hour; we see the crippled leap for joy. That’s the way it’s supposed to be, and we’ll see more signs and wonders.
Pulling Down Heaven
God has taken us to the heathen. People ask why we keep going to Africa. Don’t you know you’re needed in America? America needs God but they don’t want God. Many want to do away with God, so God is sending me to the heathen. Ever since I’ve been saved God has given me a burden for the African people. Now God is rewarding me for carrying this burden; and with a great heart of love, I’m going to them, taking the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit to them, and people are being delivered. People almost dead are coming to life.
God has even raised the dead through this Jesus ministry, and there will be more of that in this last and final hour. God is God and He will give people a chance who have never had a chance. It may look as though we’re too late, but watch and see; the Lord gives life. Maybe people are in a dying condition or have even taken their last breath, but we get there in time and the Lord brings them out of it.
We have insight into this; we have the tree of life on the inside with the glory and power of God. We’re not ashamed of the Gospel; we’re just ashamed of hypocrites connected with the Gospel. We’re not ashamed of Jesus Christ; we’re just ashamed of deadheads who testify they know Christ but really don’t. They have an imaginary Jesus, stripped of His glory. If God is with them, where are the miracles?
I don’t have time to fuss with dead preachers; they don’t need to contact me to tell me I’m wrong. They’re not reaching the people with the truth, not bringing down the power of God. While they’re pulling hell up, we’re pulling Heaven down. They’re trying to make people doubt the power of God, trying to stop this ministry, but all hell can’t stop this ministry. Hell has tried it for years. This ministry is the power of God and salvation.
Recognize God’s Greatest Miracle
Abraham looked forward to this day, as did Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and holy men right on down the line. The great prophets looked forward to this day. Think how Elijah and Elisha felt about the time when the Son of God would come and bring His great gifts people could use. They knew that one day they would be gone and who would use the gifts? Not the kings; about every king they knew of failed God.
When you don’t recognize Jesus, you don’t recognize the greatest miracle that the Lord has ever performed. Calvary is greater than the opening of the Red Sea. It’s greater than God coming down on Sinai. When God made a Calvary it took His whole heart. Unless you go the way of Calvary you’ll never find Heaven.
Many preachers today want people to recognize and accept all religions, so they’re bringing those religions into their churches. They don’t preach on judgment, only on so-called love. False doctrine? Don’t judge it, they say. The prophets believed in real love, but they also believed in judgments.
More and more you will be hearing about and seeing the judgments of God in this hour. Do you believe what you see? Are you a true believer or a part-way believer? Do you doubt part of the time? Do you doubt your salvation, your miracles?
Unbelievers receiving prayer for the same disease a family member died from find that the disease is gone now but are afraid it will come back because the doctor says there is no cure for it. They don’t trust the Word of God that says, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We believe in our good doctors, but they are very men and women, not very God. We have Jesus with all the power in the Godhead, and He is here today to heal you. Trust God’s Word, not man’s.
What are you going to do, believe or doubt? Will you take your miracle or will you go without it? Will you hold to the promise that says with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5)? This is the blood remedy that cures sin and sickness; no other remedy will do it. Jesus had to come from Heaven to bring it. If the prophets were here tonight they would be crying, Preach on! We believe it all!
Paul Kept the Faith
It’s not I that liveth, Paul said. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
Paul called himself the chief of sinners; however, after his conversion, he was among those who were chief of the faith in Jesus Christ. Finally he gave his life to prove that he believed all the way. He wrote to Timothy, For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (II Timothy 4:6,7).
Are you going to be able to say that you kept the faith or do you lose it every other day? I may be hemming some of you into a corner, but that’s when the Lord gets the best out of you. He hems you up with truth and you start studying the Word. Come, let us reason together, He is saying. If you want out of that corner of confusion and doubt, reason with God.
Never Compromise with God
When I finish a sermon, I turn people over to God. I’ve done my part under the anointing of God; I give you whatever God gives me to say. I never compromise with the Holy Scripture. It may hurt your feelings if your feelings have more control over you than the faith of God has. But when you have the faith of God, you come for the truth. The truth is the bomb that will blow up hell so far it will all land in the lake of fire. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (Revelation 20:14).
This is a miracle ministry. Had it not been for miracles I wouldn’t be here today. When I thought I was going to die, the Lord made me whole all over. I’d be in Heaven right now had Jesus not healed me so many years ago. That miracle still works today. My miracle of salvation still works. My miracle of the Holy Ghost baptism still works. The Lord still gives me His great strength.
Do you draw on the Lord or do you depend on human strength, on just what the doctor tells you? I believe in the Bible above all medical books. No doctor understands all about the body, but God does. Our bodies react in different ways. Some medicines are good, some are bad. If you take much medicine, you had better make sure of your medication; people die by just taking the wrong medicine. If you’re going to let a doctor work on you, get one who loves and understands Jesus. One doctor told me that many surgeons pray over the patient before they operate. I was shocked when he told me that; I knew he wasn’t saved.
Let Go of Every Doubt and Fear
The Lord is the one who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5). The Lord saved your soul when it was such an ugly sight that Jesus was willing to die to make it beautiful. Why not believe the Lord today and be healed? I’ve been with the Lord; He came for your deliverance, He came to set you free like He set me free. In my crusades, thousands are made whole in moments of time. They’re hearing the full Gospel, the great news that Jesus is Savior and Healer. They are getting understanding of the miracle-working God for the first time; they let go, let God, and the miracle takes place. That’s all you have to do: Let go of all your theories; let go of anything you’ve heard people say that would hinder you in any way. Let go of every doubt and fear, and then you will be holding Jesus close to you, and He will be holding you close to Him.
Prayer for Salvation and Healing
If you need salvation pray the sinners’ prayer with me now. Oh, God, save my soul! I believe the Word. I believe Jesus died for my sins; and I believe that if I confess my sins, the Lord will forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I do confess every sin. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe the blood of Jesus, the divine blood washes away all my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus, come on in!
If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come; He is yours. You have obeyed the Word, and when you obey the Word, you don’t have to worry.
I am here, saith the Lord, to give you another ultimate anointing that you will need for all your tomorrows to do what I’ve ordained you to do in this your final hour. My Spirit prayeth for thee. Feel my love; feel my grace as my Spirit prays for thee. Open your heart’s door, saith the Lord, and my Spirit will flow this mighty anointing into your innermost being.
The Lord wants you well. He’s manifesting His great love for this people; He wants the world to see the greatness of Him for people who will trust in Him and live for Him and serve Him in the beauty of holiness. The Lord is here and the table is spread. Everything you need is on that table, and He has given you the power in His divine love, His divine faith to reach it. Take whatever you need.
Now it’s time to get your miracle or healing if that’s your need. Lord, I bring the people to you today. I bring them in the name of Jesus; I bring them through the Word. Lord, I come boldly before the throne of Grace just as you said to do, and now here they are. In the name of Jesus I am your believer and in the name of Jesus I command hearts to come to normal; I command that person with cancer, that person with AIDS to be healed now. I command that one with diabetes to be set free, that one who needs an operation to be made whole; Lord, perform your perfect surgery now. In the name of Jesus I bring all who need miracles of any kind to you now. Heal, in the holy name of Jesus! Heal! Heal! I pray.
Take this mighty anointing. Oh, sweet, sweet Holy Spirit; oh, sweet power of the Holy Ghost! Holy is the name of the Lord. Miracles and healings are now taking place, saith the Lord. Touch yourself anywhere you have any problems. Touch the eyes, the ears, the head, the throat; touch over the heart, the lungs—wherever, the back, the knees, the hips, the feet. Move your feet gently around if they need healing. Take your miracle for any deadly disease. Take and be thou made well.
The healing power is flowing into the bodies of those in need. Take whatever you need today. Feel His holy presence and watch yourself or your loved ones get well today. Deliverance comes through the all-powerful Word of the Living God. Your strength is in the most High God. All things are possible if you only believe. Come into the greatness of the Lord; come, receive and be blessed beyond compare.
