This Is That, and That Is This, Part 2
Volume 9 The Keeping Power for the Mind
by Ernest Angley
September 1992
The enemy is doing all he can to disturb and trouble the children of God, but in this final hour, you must learn as never before how to have peace of mind. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
The Lord wants to be the peace in your mind; He will not only keep your soul but your mind. If you are saved, you will go to Heaven; but without Jesus as your peace of mind, the journey there will be miserable. God does not want you to be miserable but to accept Jesus as your peace. For he is our peace (Ephesians 2:14).
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:16,17). This is the mighty pouring-out time of the Holy Spirit. The greatness that men of God in the Old Testament had, the greatness of the prophets, major and minor, is all ours. That which God served the children of God in the past is this that we have today; this that we have today is that which they had. This faith we have is the same faith that Noah and Abraham had. The Spirit, the power that causes us to please God, is the same that caused God to take Enoch to Heaven alive.
Moses had great power; that is this and this is that which he had. Remember, Moses had so much power from Heaven that when he told God, I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me, God told him to choose seventy men and bring them to the tabernacle. Then God came down in a cloud, spoke and took of the spirit that was upon him [Moses], and gave it unto the seventy elders (Numbers 11:14,25). The Bible does not tell us that the Lord sent any power from Heaven for the seventy; He took it all from Moses. Think of one man having enough power to supply seventy men to help carry his load! Moses had a lighter load but less power.
After studying Moses, I have always been afraid to tell the Lord that my burden was too much. I don’t want the Lord to take away any of His power from me. I need it all. I would rather have a heavy load and much power than a light load and a little power. When you ask the Lord for power, be willing to carry a great load. I wonder if Moses ever regretted telling the Lord that the load was too heavy. I imagine he did.
The Soul Has Unlimited Capacity
The soul has unlimited capacity; it can hold all of Heaven, all the greatness of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. The world cannot understand such a soul; they think that one is delusional when he declares that Jesus is living on the inside, that the Holy Ghost is with him as his teacher, that God the Father is living and dining with him. The world cannot accept the reality of a born-again soul because they don’t know God, they don’t know the soul that came from God or how to draw from the soul to feed the mind.
As the Israelites were about to enter the land of Canaan, Moses reached the end of his days on Earth. So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated (Deuteronomy 34:5-7). I once felt sorry for Moses because after all his hard work, after all the grief the Israelites had given him, he died before setting foot in the Promised Land. Then one day I woke up. Lord, you did Moses a great favor! Look at the difficulties the Israelites encountered in Canaan! Moses missed them all. He was in Heaven having a glorious time. We don’t always know how to put things into perspective, what the priorities are for happiness and joy. Never pity someone in Heaven; rejoice for them. Pity the ones left behind with no hope for Heaven. The righteous is taken away from the evil to come (Isaiah 57:1).
Power to Carry God’s Responsibilities
Who will take the mantle, who will carry the power of God after Moses? God must have human vessels to carry His power, to pour Himself through. That power which has been used for God in the past has been given to us. God furnishes it for us to use for Him in this hour. This is that.
After Moses died, Joshua took on his huge responsibility, but he also took much power of God with it. It doesn’t matter how great the responsibility God lays at your door; as long as you use His power for that responsibility you will be all right. If you have a load greater to handle than the power God has given to you, you are loaded down with some things you shouldn’t have. Unload. Those overwhelming burdens can’t be the Lord’s because He gives power to carry His burden. Any burden the Lord lays on you comes with His power to carry it. Never say you don’t have power to carry the Lord’s burdens; He gives it to you.
We must know the burden of the Lord, for it’s easy to collect unnecessary burdens. God’s burdens are not the same for everyone. Because His burdens are numerous, the Lord divides them among His children. He needs many vessels that He can fill with His greatness. In this hour the Bride will carry His responsibilities, forgetting the unnecessary ones.
The Early Church didn’t seem to be involved with their own burdens; they were busy carrying the burdens of Jesus. They loved Him so much it was a joy to do whatever they could for Him. Although it cost many of them their lives, they died in the faith and love of God. Losing sight of everything, gladly they gave themselves in death for His holy name. They refused to give up the responsibility of the burdens the Lord wanted them to carry.
Because that is this and this is that, we, like the Early Church, can step forward to carry the burdens of the Lord, knowing we will have all the power needed; we will not break down beneath the load. The Lord will help us. Jesus knows what it means for God to move in and give strength when the body is overtaxed. He fell beneath the Cross; He knows what it means to have help to carry the Cross, and He will be there to help you every time. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Expect those nail-riven hands to reach out, helping you lift the Cross whenever you need help. Jesus is delighted to help you carry the Cross.
Total Obedience Brings the Miracle
Joshua was told to march around the walls of Jericho with the people. With them went the mighty power of Heaven, a power greater than anything Joshua could have imagined. Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10). We all must learn in this final hour to keep our mouths shut until the Lord tells us to shout. If we open our mouths at the wrong time, we could talk doubt, could decide the walls are too thick to come tumbling down. Shout when it’s God’s time to shout, and the walls of adversity will fall down flat.
Seven days the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho in the power of God. Blowing a few rams’ horns didn’t cause the walls to fall down—it was the power of God. So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city (Joshua 6:20).
Total obedience to the Lord brought the miracle. The shout of faith struck the walls with such force that the walls fell down flat, and every man went into Jericho straight ahead. But first, the Israelites had to die to pride, to ego. It’s hard to be egotistical about marching around a wall and keeping your mouth shut. What are you doing out there? We’re getting ready for the walls to fall down. When the Israelites died completely to self, they were ready to shout the shout of God.
You aren’t ready to give the shout that will tear down walls until you die out to self, until ego is gone and your trust is placed in the Lord completely.
Again and again the walls will tumble in this final hour. Don’t consider any wall impossible for the power of God and the faith of those who trust Him completely. Look at your walls today and decide that this we have today is that which brought down the walls of Jericho. Walls, you are coming down.
When you know all you have to do is to be totally obedient to the Lord, it isn’t difficult to march around the walls. He is not a hard taskmaster but a reasonable one. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18).
Many Walls Will Tumble Down
In the camp of God’s obedient children, victory cries will be heard again and again because walls must come tumbling down, many walls in many nations. We must help people everywhere. Those in darkness need to be delivered, and they won’t be delivered unless we obey God, unless we use the faith of God, unless we use the power that was used in Bible days.
We don’t want the walls of the nations to fall to the destruction of the people but to the saving of their souls. We want to bring them out into the arms of Jesus, telling them, “Jesus loves you, Jesus cares for you! Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Come on out! There’s a Calvary for you, a fountain opened for you to be washed in the blood of the Lamb and made so pure that the Lord will take you to Heaven one day where you’ll live with angelic beings and God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.” This is that.
You have nothing to be sad about, nothing to be depressed over and everything to look up for. It’s simple when you let God work through you, when you learn beyond doubt that that is this and this is that. Since this is that and that is this, you have the evidence that the power of God works, performs, tears down the strongholds of the devil and sets the captives free.
A Prophet in the Land
We look in on Israel again. There’s a prophet in the land—Elijah. What power moves through him as he speaks for God! God’s people will speak for Him in this final hour. It won’t be fanaticism but power from On High, speaking the faith of God, the love, the greatness of God and putting it all into action.
Elijah stood before King Ahab saying, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word (I Kings 17:1). The word of the Lord was in his mouth; Elijah spoke only the word of the Lord. In this last hour the Bride will be saying, “Thus saith the Lord! Thus saith the Lord!” Her own opinions cast aside, the Bride will be filled with the words of the Lord. All the strength and power of Heaven will be in “Thus saith the Lord.” Elijah said, “Thus saith the Lord” and it took place. No rain fell for over three years. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months (James 5:17).
Fed by Ravens
Thus saith the Lord, my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). This is that and that is this. All you need do is use God’s faith. Elijah, go over by the brook. God is going to send the ravens to feed you during this drought. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook (I Kings 17:4,6). If you are depending on the ravens to bring your food, you’d better use the faith of God. Some of us in Elijah’s position would be in a state of anxiety wondering if the birds would return the next day. We wouldn’t enjoy the food because of worrying about tomorrow.
In this final hour, the Bride will not live in fear but in the love and faith of God. That which Elijah had, the Bride has. This is that and that is this. It’s going to work. The Lord will bless and make the way for the Bride. She will be guarded by armies of angels from Heaven, sustained when adverse circumstances arise. Working for Jesus, she knows the Lord is coming. Happily she works as the Lord supplies all she needs to get the task done.
Much is available to you from God’s great storehouse in this last hour. The faith Elijah had is the same faith offered you today. It will work. The Lord will supply all the needs of the Bride no matter how He has to do it.
When the devil rages against you, is God sufficient? He is if you will let Him be, if you’ll believe Him to be. You must accept Him to be sufficient for you. He is ready to give you the strength and greatness of Him, so you can do His wonderful work in this your final hour.
The Miracle Meal Barrel
One day the brook that had supplied water to Elijah dried up. Real faith, however, told Elijah that everything would be all right. He did what the Bride will do: waited in the faith of God for instructions. God told Elijah, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee (I Kings 17:9).
The widow had nothing. In fact, she was busy gathering sticks to cook the last bit of food left in her house. God doesn’t ask idle people to do much of anything. Elijah approached her. Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth (I Kings 17:11-14). Oh, widow woman, the Lord will do it! In faith she obeyed the words of Elijah.
The Bride in perfect obedience will give the last she has into the hands of the Master. The widow woman gave the last she had, but it was only the beginning of what God had for her. Remember, when you give the last you have, you’ve come to the beginning of what God has for you. Where your giving ends, His giving begins. When the widow woman gave all, the Lord gave her all she needed. Those who don’t believe won’t get their meal barrel filled.
Oh, the wonderful things God used Elijah for! Would you have believed the miracle of supply could happen to you? The Bride in this final hour will have so much of the grace, love and faith of God—surrounded by the angels of God and backed up by all Heaven—that she certainly will believe. The song of her heart will be “My God will supply!” That which Elijah had is this we have today. That which Abraham had when He said, God will provide, is this we have today (Genesis 22:8). The same power used for Elijah is our help today, our power now. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory. My God will do it!
God Will Manifest His Miracles
Unexpectedly, the son of the widow with whom Elijah was staying died. She wondered what judgment had come upon her, what judgment the man of God had brought to her. Elijah carried her son into a loft, laid him on his own bed. O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again. And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived (I Kings 17:21,22). Looking upon this great miracle, the woman recognized Elijah to truly be a man of God. And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth (verse 24).
Even though the widow woman had seen the miracle of the continuously filled meal barrel and cruse of oil during the famine, it took the great miracle upon her son to totally convince her that Elijah was a man of God. She was close to God; material things did not matter as much to her as receiving that which was needed for her son. It had happened.
The world will know the true God and His people—the Bride of Christ—by the great manifestations of Lord God Almighty performed through the Bride in this her last hour. It will be mighty manifestations because that is this and this is that.
Thank God, today He is walking with the Bride in this her last hour. We’re moving on in closer to the Lord. Those who are lukewarm will be spewed into the Tribulation Period. Pray that God save them if He can, bring them into the fold. The decision to serve or not to serve God wholeheartedly is theirs. They know the right way, but do they want it? We cannot let unbelief in others slow us down. We must go after the heathen, those who have never had an opportunity to know Christ, using all the faith, strength and love of God to see that they hear the Gospel.
Some in our nation are like heathen, they have never heard, never been taught about Jesus. They don’t know He is real, the very Son of God born of the Virgin Mary. Many preachers don’t know or teach the Virgin Birth. They are worse than heathen, more destructive. God frowns upon them more than on the heathen.
The Fire of God Fell
After more than three-and-a-half years of drought, the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth (I Kings 18:1). Ahab went to meet Elijah. “You and your father’s house have brought this disaster on Israel,” Elijah told him. “Bring your prophets of Baal. Let them call on their God, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God (verse 24).” All day long the prophets of Baal pleaded with their god to come down. Elijah mocked them. They leaped and cut themselves until the blood gushed out.
Finally in the evening, Elijah directed four barrels of water to be poured over the altar he had repaired—three times the water was poured. He prayed a prayer of sixty-three words and the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench (I Kings 18:38).
In the past, God’s people have drawn up into a corner in the face of persecution. No more. Afraid of nothing, today they know the fire of God will fall whenever needed. Read of Elijah in First and Second Kings. The power of God that worked through him is the same power that works today.
Journey to the Mount of God
Elijah went through many experiences, valleys as well as high places. The deepest valley we know of was in the wilderness when he prayed to die. He thought no one but himself was serving God. It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God (I Kings 19:4-8).
The Lord gave Elijah strength to journey to the Mount of God. That’s all we need; strength to reach the mount of God. When you’re in the valley, remember that the angel of the Lord is there to minister to you.
Elijah traveled one hundred fifty miles to the Mount of God. And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away (I Kings 19:9,10). Elijah had put his life on the line before evil Ahab and Jezebel, slain the prophets of Baal, and now he thought he was the only one left who served God. But the Lord said, Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him (verse 18). Many women and children would have been added to those seven thousand men. It was enough to encourage Elijah.
Elisha Asked a Double Portion
God then instructed Elijah to anoint a king over Syria and a king over Israel and to anoint Elisha to be prophet in his stead. It wasn’t to be long before Elijah would reach rapture ground. Elisha knew it. He was determined to follow Elijah until the end. Elijah took his mantle, wrapped it together and smote the waters of the Jordan so they divided; he and Elisha walked across on dry ground.
Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. He knew when Elijah was gone there would be more devils than ever to fight against. You’ve asked a hard thing, Elijah told him, nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so (II Kings 2:10). As they talked on the other side of Jordan, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven (verse 11).
The Bride Has the Mantle of Jesus
Elisha was the only one who really believed Elijah would be taken alive into Heaven, and today many don’t believe the Bride will be raptured. Elisha saw Elijah go into Heaven, and Elijah’s mantle fell on him. Miracle power changed Elijah, took him to Heaven alive. Miracle power brought down that heavenly chariot; miracle glory enabled him to step on board. But he didn’t forget the mantle while he ascended; he dropped it for Elisha.
Elisha took the mantle of Elijah, rushed back to Jordan, smote the waters and cried, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over (II Kings 2:14). In this final hour, the Bride has the mantle of power. Again and again, she will strike the waters and see them separate as she cries, “The Lord God of Elijah lives today! Jesus is alive, Jesus is alive!” Jesus promised to pray the Father to send another Comforter, the Holy Ghost. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 14:16; 16:7). Jesus didn’t forget the mantle for His followers; they found it in the Upper Room.
Receiving the Holy Ghost is so important that Jesus told us it was expedient for Him to leave so the Holy Ghost could come. Why would anyone think people don’t need the Holy Ghost? Jesus told the disciples to tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). The power from On High with which they were endued was the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
It will take that power from On High that they received in the Upper Room—that same power—to change us in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye and to catch us up with Jesus in the clouds.
One day Mary Magdalene carried the message that Jesus was alive, and His followers have been carrying it ever since. Many soldiers of the Cross, many servants of the Lord will give the cry: “He is alive! He is alive! He just opened the eyes of this blind man! He just healed the crippled man! This is that and that is this. We have it! Thanks be to God.”
An Angel Shut the Lions’ Mouths
The prophets of old were mistreated, cast down. Some spent much time in prison, but they demonstrated great strength. Why? They had power from On High. Daniel in the den of lions was sustained by that power. One would think his situation would have filled him with terror, but he was dining with the Lord. The king who put him in that terrible place was the one who couldn’t sleep.
Like Daniel, the Bride will take her rest in time of trouble, receiving strength for the new day dawning. She will go forth rested in the Spirit. The angels of the Lord will look after her just like the angel looked after Daniel in the lions’ den.
Daniel told the king, My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me (Daniel 6:22). Those who fail to use the faith of God don’t see the protecting angel; they only see the roaring lions enhanced by their imaginations. It’s frightening when your imagination runs away with you.
Groundless Fears
Were you ever terrified over nothing? I remember some years ago a situation like that. My mother-in-law, my wife and I were coming home late one night from visiting my father-in-law in the hospital. Corn was planted in the garden close to the house. Pop hadn’t spared much room. I was standing with my key ready to open the back door when I heard a noise in the corn. Suddenly a little woman emerged and burst out, “Mrs. Sikes, how is Mr. Sikes doing?” It frightened the living daylights out of me. I froze. Every particle of me was scared, every freckle afraid. I hadn’t expected such a thing.
Fear is a terrible thing. I didn’t have time to use any of the faith of God in that instant, but in this hour we must be alert, our eyes open so we won’t be petrified with fear no matter what comes our way, real or imagined.
We are to fear God in an awesome, reverent way and to fear Him only. That fear will be the strength of the Lord for us. Walking in the steps of Jesus, our imaginations will not run away with us when we face our den of lions or stand in the fiery furnace.
The Fourth Man in the Fire
The three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fiery furnace heated seven times hotter than ever before. The flame was so intense it killed the men who threw them in. But when the king looked into the furnace he was astonished. Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:24,25). In that terrible furnace, the Hebrew boys found the greatness of the Lord.
In the past many Christians have swooned when they heard the furnace was going to get hotter, deciding to turn back. They didn’t know it would be like that. The milk and honey in the Promised Land drew them, but when things got rough, they went back to the onions and garlic of Egypt. Not the Bride. In this final hour she will dine with the Lord. Without compromise while the furnace is being heated, the Bride will stand firm with Him. The strength that sustained Daniel, the Bride has today. It’s not another power but the same power, and it will work the same way—not another faith, it’s the same faith that works the same way.
The Bride Will Do Greater Works
The Bride in her most trying hours will find more greatness of God than she has ever had before. The greatness of God will go before her, waiting for her. Closer than ever, the arms of His greatness will draw her to His bosom. Winning the lost at any cost, the Bride will sing and shout the praises of God. This is that and that is this.
Jesus said, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). The Bride will do these greater works, for she will be able to reach greater numbers of people. All the rainbow promises of God will be her supply, her delight, her sunlight, her peace, joy and strength in this her last hour.
Have You Robbed God?
There are those who have eaten the Lord’s “tater.” The tenth tater belongs to God: ten percent of your income. Tithing is a commandment of God. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me…Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:8-10). The Lord said if we would give Him our tithes and offerings He would open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing.
Some of you have good intentions, asking the Lord to make the way for you, promising to give Him His part. The Lord makes the way for you, but you forget your promise. You look at your ten taters, think you need them all, and you eat the Lord’s tater. Now you have a doctor bill and not enough money to pay it. You ate the Lord’s tater, and it made you sick. “Oh God,” you cry, “Heal me!” But the Lord said you ate His tater. “Oh God, have mercy! What’s wrong with me?”
You know what’s wrong; the Bible tells you. God has spoken through it, and you’re not listening; you’ve robbed God of His tithes and offerings. You don’t want to hear what’s wrong. You would rather go to the hospital and let them tell you something else is the problem. When it comes down to the truth, you ate the Lord’s tater.
The Lord didn’t say you had to be generous, but if you had loved Him enough you would have been. You took all the taters.
When you get sick, check to see if the Lord has His tater. Did you give Him what belonged to Him? The Lord only wants one tater out of ten, and then He leaves it up to you how much more you want to give Him through love.
This is that and that is this. The promise of the open window blessing from Heaven is for us today. That which they were promised in Malachi is for us; this is that. As we tithe and give unto the Lord in love, He will do wonderful things for us. It works. In this hour, God is going to open up many windows of Heaven upon the Bride, pour out miracles and healings in abundance. Miraculous things will take place around her; it will be glorious. Surrounded by the beautiful works of the man of Galilee, the Bride will experience the works of Jesus upon her.
Judgment Is Falling
Manifesting Himself in many ways, God will let the world know who He really is. He will reveal Himself in love, and He will reveal Himself in judgments like He did in Bible days. There will be much judgment in this final hour, saith the Lord, much judgment; but the grace of God will also abound.
In the New Testament we read that God took the sight from a man who had insulted the Spirit of God. He was led away blind because he mocked God, spit in His eye. Paul told him, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand (Acts 13:11).
Herod set himself up above God, and immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost (Acts 12:23). These two judgments were not under the Law but under the dispensation of grace. Before Herod could be buried, the worms ate him. Imagine the thousands of worms that took over that body! Soon it was devoured before the eyes of the people. I say again, there will be much judgment in this hour, judgment through the elements, nature, judgment for individuals in all kinds of ways. That is this and this is that.
God meant business in that day, and He means business today. More judgment than ever before will fall now because there is a Calvary that again and again is being rejected. Remember Calvary. God gave everything to make that Calvary for man. Be careful how you respond to God.
Would Ministers Blaspheme the Holy Ghost?
Many will blaspheme the Holy Ghost in this final hour. God told me, in the divine visitation in 1954, that they would. He said that even Pentecostal ministers would blaspheme the Holy Ghost.
In that day such a thing was unheard of, but you see the way many ministers have gone today, denying so much of the Word of God. God said He would reveal His miracles and they would deny them, blaspheming the Holy Ghost.
The Spirit of the Lord will lift from multitudes in this last hour, saith the Lord, will lift from them to never strive with them again. Preachers who have spoken against God’s power, preached against the teachings in the Word of God, left part of it out, won’t get by in this last hour. The Spirit of God will lift from them. Don’t think God won’t do it! He will. When His Spirit lifts from these ministers, they’ll be cold to the Spirit. Some have no interest in Him today at all, no desire to serve God or to please Him. This is that and that is this.
We will see all manner of manifestations in this last hour. We will see the greatness of the Almighty as God walks the earth in love and in all-out judgment. In the divine visitation in 1954, I heard the feet of the Lord coming down upon planet Earth so powerfully that earth seemed as though it were made out of paper. I shall never forget it. When God steps down on planet Earth in all-out judgment, it will be like stepping down on paper, everything under His feet destroyed, destruction the world has never before witnessed.
God let people go to their own doom under the Law and even under grace. When God gets enough, it’s over. God is close to having His fill of disobedient, sinful humanity, of people denying His Word in part or wholly, calling it doctrines of devils, criticizing the miracle-working, healing power of God and the greatness of the power of the Holy Spirit. God has taken just about all He can stand. We’re coming so close to the final judgment that we’re going to see many signs of warning, saith the Lord. Judgment has already started, and there will be more and more of it.
The Earth Turned Upside Down
The world will not last. The environment that concerns many will one day all be destroyed: The Bible foretells it. Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again (Isaiah 24:1,5,6,20).
Imagine the fear in men’s hearts when the sun refuses to shine and the moon turns into blood, when the stars fall to the earth! Those without the cause of Jesus will live in fear in this last hour.
Many are afraid to eat certain foods because they might get cancer, heart trouble, paralysis or some other affliction from them. People in great distress wonder what they will do, what the world is coming to. Full of fear, they don’t know which way to turn. Working for many causes, few have the cause of Calvary. They are right to be afraid. Without Christ one should be full of fear. Fear of going out at night, fear of being robbed, fear of being alone, fear of different things puts people into bondage. Pray before you eat; sanctify your food; pray before you leave your house, before you use your car.
Jesus Is Your Peace
You needn’t let God’s judgments shake you, Child of God; be rooted and grounded in the truth, the great love and faith of God. Take all the Word of God. Put on all His armor. Carry the peace of God in your mind. Let Jesus be your peace. In order for Him to be your peace, you must let Him be your all in all. When you find yourself being troubled in mind, stop and remember: “Jesus is my peace. I have Jesus. Jesus, you’re in my soul, and my mind doesn’t have to continue in this state of confusion and depression. You’ll give me peace.” The Holy Spirit can bridge that gulf between the soul and mind, giving you a flow of the Spirit over the mind, totally amazing you with the greatness of God. And as you go in that peace, in that serenity of the Holy Spirit and greatness of God, you will understand the Early Church, the people on whom the Holy Ghost first fell at Pentecost.
Honor All God’s Word
It’s time for us to shout the praises of God, time to lift up holy banners, time to let the world know that we’re Jesus-people; we’re on the Lord’s side. We believe the whole Word of God; we believe in signs, wonders, miracles and healings; and we believe in the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues just as the Holy Ghost spoke through those in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost. It’s time for us to stand for it all, honor all that God has said.
We will not honor God unless we honor all of His Word. We will sanctify the Lord God night and day in our hearts, glorify His holy name. Blessed be the name of the Lord! We’re mounting higher and higher on the winds of the Holy Spirit, carried higher and higher into the arms of the Lord in this last hour. Oh, Bride of Christ, take heart! Your heartbeat will be the same as the heartbeat of God in holy unity with His. No power will be able to defeat you as you trample devils underfoot just as the Master said. That is this and this is that! It thrills me through and through.
Calvary, Pentecost, the Upper Room, the power of God, the coming of the Lord, the greatness of the Lord, the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, the righteousness, holiness, purity of God—you can have it all. You have the message for the whole world because you have the Word. Without the whole Word you don’t have the whole message. Only part of the Word will not give people what they need from Heaven for this last hour; it will take the whole Word in action to evangelize the world, the whole Word of God embraced by the Bride of Christ to make this old world reel and rock. All the promises of God must be used by the Bride in this last hour to do what needs to be done. Do it she will because God declares it; it’s the will of God. No power can stop her because this is that and that defeated death, hell and the grave. This will do the same thing. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. I will declare His holiness and righteousness, His love for all mankind. I will declare that He is Lord God Almighty, the great I-Am.
The Nail-Riven Hands Reach Out
Crying to the world that I-Am has sent us, we will use the great power of I-Am in this final hour just as Moses and others used it. It’s time for deliverance, the greatest deliverance the world has ever seen, greater deliverance than when the Israelites were brought out of Egyptian bondage. This is the great hour of deliverance, saith the Lord. The Lord is moving through the Bride to set the captives free, to heal the brokenhearted and to see that people hear the Gospel. The acceptable year of the Lord, the year of Jubilee, the year of redemption must be preached to the world in this last hour.
All will not receive, but God will give them a chance. The nail-riven hands will reach out, and the world will have the opportunity to accept or reject them just as you had. One day those nail-riven hands came before you, offering you grace, deliverance, Heaven, the blessed hope for the soon coming of the Lord. Those nail-riven hands offered you all the strength you would need for the journey, promised you everything worthwhile for eternal life.
Aren’t you glad you said yes to Jesus, that you bent low to kiss those hands with all the love that flowed from Heaven into your heart? You accepted salvation, loving Jesus better than anything in the whole world. You had the message; you wanted everyone to know Jesus, to tell the story over and over. The story never grows old. The more it’s told, the newer it seems, the stronger it becomes. The more it’s told, the more joy flows through it and from it, the more peace flows our way. We tell the story over and over, more excited each time. We will convince people in this last hour with the greatness and power of God. This is that and that is this.
Do You Have Jesus?
Sinner, are you ready for the Savior? I bring Him to you, the living Jesus, the Redeemer, Savior of mankind. You may feel weak and helpless. Perhaps you have tried to live for God in the past, and it didn’t work; God will give you the power, the strength to live for Him. He will deliver you, make you a new creature as He moves into your heart. That’s what He has done for many.
Oh, sinner, come home! Say this prayer with me: Oh, God, save my soul! I believe in the blood of Jesus, and I believe the blood of Jesus has power to wash away all of my sins. Come on in, Jesus! Come into my heart!
If you meant that prayer, He is yours. He will live His life through you now as you continue to yield to His Spirit. He delights in living His life through human beings.
Jesus Still Heals Today
You who are sick and afflicted, that is this and this is that. This that we have is that power that operated through Jesus when He was here in the form of a man. Since that is this and this is that, you can have your miracle. I received mine many years ago, and it’s still good today. You can have your miracle, too. God is no respecter of persons.
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you in obedience to you. You have healed multitudes, the blind, the crippled, the paralyzed, the cancer victims. You heal all manner of sicknesses and diseases. Your healing comes from your mighty gift of miracles, your gifts of healing through the power of the Holy Ghost; it flows in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Heal! Heal, in the name of Jesus! Heal all the sick and afflicted, all the helpless ones. Lord, get them well this day, and we’ll give you the honor, the praise and the glory. You are wonderful, Lord, in all of your ways, and your ways are past finding out. We delight in your power from On High being used among people today, and your great works being performed just like you said they would be.
Honor and praise Him. Thank Him for your miracle, your healing, and watch as the Lord gets you well for His name’s sake. He is wonderful!
A Message from the Holy Spirit
Yea, saith the Spirit of the Lord: I am moving with my Word, and I am shouting my promises that all who want to hear can hear in this last hour. My angels are declaring my glory and singing my praise—not only in Heaven but on Earth. And my angels are going forth daily now, night and day, to do great battle with and for my people. Open your eyes and ears to my greatness. Let my Word live in your spirit night and day. Let my Word be in all of its power as when I first spoke it. Diseases will be destroyed. Sin will be destroyed. Unrighteousness will be destroyed. Weakness will be destroyed, and my great strength will flow like mighty rivers in this last hour.
Behold! The hand of the Lord is upon you. Behold! The power of Heaven is yours. And behold that all power is given unto you over all the works of the devil and the power of Lucifer. Do not be afraid, but be strong in the might of my faith and in my love. Walk in my faith and love every moment that you have left, and my greatness will always be yours. My heart will be yours, and the greatness of my strength will work with you and through you.
I will cover you with wings of greatness, and I will use you. And you will have my oil. And you will go forth when that hour comes. There will be no scarcity of my oil. And as you trim your lamps, the glow and the power of Heaven you will see. Lift up your heads, oh my people, and know that redemption draweth nigh.
Lift up your heads, and let me give you vision to see the whole world and the harvest. See it all. Take it all in with one look as I do. I give you my eyes to see the harvest fields, and they’re so ripe for harvest! Don’t let the harvest, don’t let any of it go to waste. Fast, pray, seek my face and feed your spirit the Word, the Word, saith the Lord; and my promises will be fulfilled, and the greatness of my plans for you will be fulfilled.
You don’t have to worry about being a failure; just walk with me and the victories will be yours. Walk with me. My Son made paths for your feet, and through my Spirit you will find His footprints the rest of your journey, saith the Lord.
