The Word

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass (Ezekiel 12:25). There is nothing on earth like the Word of God because Jehovah, God Almighty, spoke it. Then that Word was made flesh, and that’s the most miraculous thing that could have ever happened to the human race. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). This Word, Jesus, was the greatest thing to come upon the earth since God had created the first man and woman in the glory of His love, power and peace.
In the Garden, God would actually come down from Heaven; and Adam and Eve could look into His face, hold His hand and walk and talk with Him just as one person here on earth talks to another. God never planned for them to get old or shed a tear; but they sinned against Him, and that put an end to their wonderful fellowship.
A Divine Wrapper of Clay
Thousands of years later, Jesus came in a cradle of God’s mighty love—the Lord gave me that beautiful thought just for you. That love-cradle included the whole heart of God for lost, disobedient, stubborn and rebellious people; and it held the face of God. When the shepherds looked into that cradle from Heaven, they saw that divine face of love, peace and greatness. They saw the face of hope and deliverance, the very face of Heaven. They saw the glory of God and the glory of His righteousness and holiness. They saw only greatness when the Word took on a wrapper of clay. And they [the shepherds] came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds (Luke 2:16-18).
Many years before Christ came, Isaiah the prophet said, His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). The Lord came as all of that and more!
Jesus came and brought divinity, and He made it possible for us to take on His nature. That divine nature includes all the power that’s in the blood of the Lamb. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). And He said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). Through this power, we are to be living, walking epistles just as Jesus was. Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (II Corinthians 3:3). Our wrappers of clay must have the Word of God inside; the Word must live in our hearts and in our lives. Nothing else will give us eternal peace, joy, love, grace and all the favor of God.
The Word Defeats the Devil
The devil thought he could defeat this Word made flesh by tormenting Jesus while He was fasting in the wilderness. But fasting makes you spiritually strong; and Jesus rebuked the devil saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Luke 4:8). Jesus told the devil three times what God had said, and the devil had to flee.
The Lord tells us that the devil will run from us, too. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We must use the blood-Word and trample devils underfoot. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
The Word in a wrapper of clay called Jesus became our Elder Brother, and He has all the answers we need. At just twelve years of age, doctors marveled at Him when He answered all their questions in the temple. And when he [Jesus] was twelve years old, they [Jesus’ family] went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers (Luke 2:42-47). The doctors had never heard anyone like Jesus. The Bible doesn’t say how many of them kept track of Him as He grew up, but they should have because they had met the living Word.
The Word Brought Miracles and Healings
The Bible tells us of the great healings performed by the Word, Jesus. He met a man who was born blind, and He gave him sight. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth…he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:1,6,7). I’m sure this young man had heard the birds sing and felt the green grass under his feet, but he had never seen them. He’d touched many trees, but he had never seen one. Then the Word gave him sight!
We can use the Word today and receive great benefits. We can use the Word; and the blind will get their sight, the deaf will hear and the mute will speak for the first time. We can use the Word, and crippled, twisted limbs will straighten. We can use the Word and miracles of re-creation will take place in people’s bodies. It’s all done through the Word.
Lazarus had been dead for four days, but the Word stood before his sepulcher and cried with that great voice of resurrection, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go (John 11:43,44). Lazarus lived, and the Word had done it!
At the pool of Bethesda, Jesus met a man who hadn’t walked in thirty-eight years. At times, an angel would come down and trouble the waters of that pool, and whoever got in first would receive their miracle. We don’t know how long this man had waited by the pool; but when Jesus said, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked (John 5:6-9).
Such wonderful miracles took place through the Word, Jesus. A woman bound with arthritis was set completely free. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God (Luke 13:11-13). I have seen so many set free because the God of miracles lives! I’ve met people who wanted to get well but had no money for doctor visits or surgery; they were without hope and facing death. Thank God, no one has to pay for the Word; He brought divine healing that comes straight from Heaven.
Miracles Are for Today
I believe in good doctors and good hospitals, but there would be no healing if God hadn’t made it available. He put healing in nature, and He’s given men and women the knowledge to work with what He has provided to them. Medical science does all it can, but there are many cures it has not yet found. Billions of dollars have been spent on cancer research, but there’s no cure yet; however, we’ve seen thousands of people healed of all kinds of cancer through the Word. We’ve seen them in the last stages when they looked like the walking dead, and the Lord healed them and put flesh on their bones. I speak the Word of the living God, and people are delivered and set free.
God gets all the glory for the miracles and healings. I never take any of His glory, and I make sure that everything in my services glorifies the Lord. Ego is of the devil, and I don’t have any ego over what God is doing. I have gratitude, a thankful heart and a thankful spirit; and I glorify only the Lord.
There have been so many miracles and healings in my services all because of the Word. We’ll have thousands of miracles in just one service because I lift the Jesus-Word up before the people and tell them that He will give them life. I know they can be healed of any sickness or disease as I feed them the truth. People have been healed of AIDS and cancer; hearts and lungs have been made whole, and diseased parts of people’s bodies have been re-created. Even children born with only part of a brain have been made whole through the Word. No case is too hard for the Lord.
Documentation of AIDS miracles is being sent to us from many different nations. When you use the Word, you use the divine blood that Jesus shed on Calvary; and in that blood is everything you need for salvation, a healing or a miracle. The Word can take death out of your body and give you life. You’ll find all you need in the divine blood.
It’s through the Word that I have such wonderful health today after so many years. It was Jesus who lifted me out of the bondage of sickness and death when I was just twenty-three and thought I had only a few days to live. Jesus came one night, and He made me whole all over. Now, I thank God for His strength that He pours into me daily to do His work, and He’ll do the same thing for you. He promised to renew your youth, so let Him do it. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5). I have more strength now than I had in my youth, and it’s all because of the power and grace of the Word.
The Word in Types and Shadows
The Word is the loudest voice on earth today, yet so many people never hear the voice of God because they don’t have ears to hear; they’re spiritually deaf. They can’t see the miracles of God because they’re spiritually blind. They could have help if they really wanted it because Jesus came for all people. Every boy, girl, man and woman can be set free through the living Word. He came to make us His sons and daughters, members of the very family of God. But as many as received him [Jesus], to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).
Search the Old Testament, and you’ll find Jesus in every book. You’ll find the divine Word in types and shadows, and it’s wonderful to study them when you recognize and understand them. Look at Abraham, and you’ll see God the Father. Look at Isaac, and you’ll see Jesus. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure (Hebrews 11:17-19).
Look at Joseph, the savior of his people; and you’ll see Jesus. And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Genesis 45:4-7). You can see so much of Jesus in Joseph—humility, grace and holy living. You can see prophecy, and it was all correct. God talked to Joseph when he was a boy because he had the Word of the living God inside of him. His brothers didn’t have it; but Joseph grew up in the Word, and nothing was able to defeat him.
Moses, the Deliverer
Look at Moses, and you can see Jesus, the Word. Moses was placed in a basket of love and sent floating down the Nile; but if you look into that basket, you’ll see deliverance for a whole nation of slaves. You’ll see Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey; and you’ll see the Red Sea being separated. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left (Exodus 14:21,22).
God went on to destroy the entire Egyptian army, the greatest one of its day. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them (Exodus 14:23,26-28).
The Israelites were finally free; but instead of praising the great I Am for their deliverance, they began to complain. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet (Exodus 15:23-25).
The tree was a type of the Cross, and Jesus would die on that Cross many years later to sweeten the waters of life for whosoever will. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). People can come with their bitterness, grudges and sin, with their lust, disobedience, doubts and fears. Then the Cross, the tree of life, will sweeten the waters for each and every one; and it’s free! Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price (Isaiah 55:1).
Look at the Word of Love
God loved the Israelites with an unending love whether they loved Him in return or not. His love fed them manna straight from Heaven in the wilderness. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat (Exodus 16:15).
The serpent of brass that God told Moses to hang on a tree was a type of Jesus when He hung on the Cross in such a cursed condition. God had sent judgment on the Israelites because of their sin and disobedience, and they had been bitten by fiery serpents. Many were dying; so once again, Moses cried out to God. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived (Numbers 21:8,9). The pole mentioned here was a type of the tree that Jesus would later die on. Crucifixion was the most hideous death of that day, but Christ did it for you and me. What love!
With just one look, the Israelites could have been healed; but some of them wouldn’t look. Instead, they looked at their swollen limbs and continued to grumble and complain until death swept them into eternity. So it is with people today; they’re stubborn and ungodly, and they won’t accept the cradle of love from Heaven, the Word of truth. When Jesus was here, He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). We were all dead until we were resurrected by the Word, and there can be no truth or life without the Word of God. Thy word is truth (John 17:17).
Know the Truth
Truth walked the waters when Jesus was here; truth walked the streets of Jerusalem and the shores of Galilee. Everywhere the Word of truth went, He took Heaven’s help for as many as would receive. But people have trampled truth in the streets today, just as the Lord said they would. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter (Isaiah 59:14). People don’t want God’s truth today. They’re full of lies and deceit, but Jesus still loves them and calls to them saying, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). He wants to take their burdens of sin and give them abundant life. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). That abundant life brings freedom for soul, mind and body.
I never doubt the Word; and even as a sinner boy, I never doubted God’s Word. God said it; I believed it, and that settled it. My parents raised their children in the truth. I sat under Holy Spirit-filled Sunday school teachers and a pastor who taught only the truth. As a youngster, I never doubted a word any one of them spoke.
I saw the Word in action. We had great miracles and healings in the Angley family, and God answered our prayers. My mother and father and my two oldest sisters could pray and touch Heaven. I knew I could depend on their prayers because they lived the Word and believed the Word.
God Hears Your Prayers
You must realize that you can call on the Lord any time, and you don’t need anyone else to help you get your prayers through. Every time you reach Heaven yourself and get a prayer through, it will give you more faith. But some people won’t use the faith God has given them; instead, they want me to use my faith for them. Watch out! God expects people to use what He has given them.
You should never ask anyone to pray for something that you haven’t first taken to the Lord yourself. My mama taught us that every time we got one of our own prayers answered, it would strengthen us; and Mama always prayed for herself before she ever asked anybody else to pray for her. She had confidence in her prayers because she knew in whom she believed, and she knew that she had committed all into His hands.
We didn’t have much money; but we had Word-miracles, Word-happiness, Word-peace, Word-love and Word-joy. Money alone will never bring true happiness. I grew up in a family with great happiness, loads of love and plenty of the Word of God. I was taught righteousness, holiness and that the truth would make me free.
Christ Suffered for Our Healing
You must see Jesus coming out of the types and shadows throughout the Old Testament. Isaiah the prophet foretold that He would take our place and suffer so that we could be free. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus went to the whipping post; and with His blood stripes, the blood-Word, we can have physical healing. Peter also said, By whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). Notice the word were. This means that the healing is already yours. It’s been paid for, so all you have to do is accept it. Jesus, the Word, spoke and said, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).
Listen to the truth in the Word, and you’ll have miracles and healings. They may not all come in the same way, but they will come through the divinity of the Word if you accept what the Lord has said. When I lay hands on people, they must believe that they will get well. False symptoms come from the devil, so people must not accept them. The Word said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).
Have Faith to Believe
When you do what the Word tells you to do, you’re using faith. If you don’t act out the Word with a true and holy heart, you’re not using the faith of God, Heaven’s faith. Many people today think that they’re using faith when they’re not even using the Word. You have to live the Word in order to be able to use it. It has to be on the inside of you; and when you really have the Word inside of you, the Word has you. Then you have it made, and you’re complete just as the Bible says. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10).
Don’t ever forget that God’s grace is sufficient for everything! We should be the happiest people in the world because all things are possible through the Word of grace if we will only believe. No wonder the Lord said, O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1). The Bible also says, Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4).
I treasure the Word. The Word says, “Fast,” and I fast. The Word says, Only believe (Mark 5:36), and I believe without making any room for doubt. The Word tells us that we can’t doubt. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord (James 1:6,7). I never let my faith waver because I have the grace-faith of Jesus, and I never doubt His love for me. Even as a sinner, I knew without a doubt that Jesus loved me. Then when I came to Him, I took His love deep within my soul; and now I’m telling the whole world about Jesus and His great love.
I never go before the Lord with any doubt, and you shouldn’t, either. That’s not what the Lord wants. You should pray as Jesus did, knowing that the Father hears you and will answer you. Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42). Why doubt God? Why would you ever have more faith in the devil than you do in God? If you doubt God and believe what the devil says, you’re giving over to the spirit of the enemy; and you’re being robbed.
The Spirit of Truth
You must hear the voice of the Word and His great love. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7). What is the Spirit speaking?—The Word, nothing less. Are you listening to what the Spirit is saying, or are you listening to what the enemy and people are saying? I listen to what the Lord wants me to hear, and He wants me to hear truth.
I love to be alone with the Lord and listen to the Spirit, but some people can’t stand to be alone. Why?—Because they won’t let the Lord be reality to them. Jesus is real to me, and I’m not a bit lonely. I can only be with other people for a limited amount of time before I begin to feel empty. It’s like I’m starved to get back with Jesus and feel that Eden spirit of love. I hunger to lean on His breast, knowing that He is pleased with all I do.
You must know the truth. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). And Jesus said that the Holy Ghost would be our Spirit of truth. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17). He will stay with you and live in you, and your body will be His temple. It’s wonderful that, through Christ, you can be so holy that the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead will come in to live with you. You’ll have a holy tongue, and He’ll use it to speak the miraculous works of God; and it’s all done because of the Word!
When the Holy Ghost comes in, He speaks through people in different languages and dialects; and He’s definitely saying something. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). Usually, when a person is baptized in the Holy Ghost, the first thing the Spirit does is glorify Jesus Christ. When Jesus was here, He glorified the Father; and the Holy Ghost is here to glorify the Son.
In some of my foreign crusades, we’ve seen untold thousands receive the Holy Ghost in just a few minutes of time. The latter rain is pouring down now just as Joel prophesied it would over 2500 years ago. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit (Joel 2:28,29).
It was hard for the disciples to accept that Jesus was the Lord of everything before they received the Holy Ghost. They saw that He had eyes, hands and feet just like they did. He ate like a man, dressed like a man, and they couldn’t grasp the reality of Him being the very Son of God until later.
The disciples didn’t even have that reality when they saw Him calm a mighty storm. They were with Him on a boat that was about to go down, and they cried, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him (Mark 4:38,39,41)?
We all must recognize the Word to be the Son of God, and then we won’t have any trouble accepting His miracles. There are so many churches today that don’t have miracles because they don’t believe in the Word, Jesus.
The Word Teaches Fasting
The disciples were taught the Word; they lived with the Word and saw the greatness of it. They went with the Word into the towns and villages and to the shores of Galilee. Peter even walked the waters with the Word. The Lord said to him, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:29).
They saw Jesus deliver Legion, a man possessed with thousands of devils. They had taken his mind completely over, but the Word set him free. Then they [the people] went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind (Luke 8:35).
In this ministry, devil-possessed people are being set free wherever we go. The nine gifts of the Word work in such a powerful way that it’s whosoever will. Alcoholics, drug addicts and others bound with all kinds of devils are set free instantly through the power of the Word.
I can’t operate the gifts in my life; the Holy Ghost operates them through me, but it takes much fasting, prayer and living in the Word of God for Him to be able to do that. Many of my fasts go as long as forty days, but I’m willing to pay any price. The Word says, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Therefore, the disciples of Jesus must fast today. It may not be popular in most churches, but the Bible teaches it. The saints of God fasted in Old Testament days; and Jesus, our example, fasted. Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred (Matthew 4:1,2). The great Apostle Paul said he was in fastings often (II Corinthians 11:27), and he had the power of God working through him in an unbelievable way.
There Is Power over Sin
You can be set free today if you’ll accept the Word, but then you must live in the Word. The Bible says, Go, and sin no more (John 8:11). The Word gives you power to live free from sin just like the first Adam and Eve did before they fell. But when they sold out to the devil, they turned away from all of God’s love; and they no longer walked with Him. They were dead to God.
People today are also dead in trespasses and sin. Preachers and priests alike teach that nobody can live free from sin; but Jesus, the Word, says you can’t get into Heaven with any sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). We are born in sin and iniquities, but the Word sets us free and makes us new. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). The Word gives us the power to stay out of sin and to walk with the Lord all the way.
Thank God, the Word will abide forever! Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35). Through Him, we can have real life now and for all eternity! Jesus can never be destroyed, but His truth will destroy everything that’s unlike Him one day. The truth tells us that the devil, his demons and all who reject Christ will go into the lake of fire and be tormented and destroyed as the endless ages roll; that’s the Word!
Many people think they’re going to Heaven, but the Word says only the pure in heart shall see God. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). The Word tells us in the Sermon on the Mount, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Many people go to church, but they only have a form of godliness because they don’t have the true Word or its works.
The Word of Grace
The Word, Jesus, brought the truth and deliverance for all through divine grace and mercy. His grace is sweet, wonderful and loving; and it’s full of miracles and life. That [Jesus] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world (John 1:9). Jesus was full of light, grace and truth; and His mercy is something to behold throughout the Gospels!
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:16,17). The Law was very cruel, but divine grace is full of love. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God’s great love gave us the Word.
Take another look at Adam and Eve in the Garden. They were created to live in grace, and Eden was full of it—divine love, divine peace, divine faith and everything wonderful and great. God furnished everything they needed for the body, the soul and the mind. Adam and Eve had the mind of God, and their minds weren’t troubled with anything.
In Eden, there was no discouragement; Adam and Eve were created to live in the great love of God and to walk hand-in-hand with Him. They had loving grace that enabled them to look right into the face of God, and they were supposed to live in God’s divine favor all the time. The Lord told me that He never intended for them to be sick, and He didn’t give them any tear ducts because He never intended for them to cry—that came with the curse, saith the Lord. How sad when they had everything!
Thank God, in the grace of the Word, we can once again have everything. But just as Adam and Eve didn’t stay in grace, there are a lot of people today who won’t stay in grace, either. They go to the tree of evil just like Adam and Eve did, the ones who sold the human race into bondage.
Grace Rejected
After Adam and Eve sinned, thousands of years passed by during which grace only showed up at different times. It showed up in Abel but not in Cain, and Cain proved that when he murdered his brother. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him (Genesis 4:8). That murder was such a disgrace to God, but it happened because Adam and Eve fell from grace into disgrace.
Time continued to pass by, and the Lord offered grace to all people; but no one would accept it. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them (Genesis 6:5-7).
Civilization got so bad that the Lord decided to wipe every person and every creature off of the face of the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth (Genesis 6:13). But He heard one voice—the voice of Noah. The Bible says, Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:8). I have thought about that statement many times.
God Will Deliver
Noah had done a good job in raising his sons and daughters-in-law to respect God. His family consisted of only eight souls, but God’s grace gave the plan for their escape. Make thee an ark of gopher wood…And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he (Genesis 6:14,17-19,21,22). The Lord gave Noah that wonderful plan of escape, but why do you think God waited for 120 years to bring it about? God told me it was because He wanted Noah and his family to prove themselves.
The Word brought a plan that would enable us to escape all the darkness, despair and punishment of hell. In the Word, we will find grace for healings and miracles, grace to dry all our tears and grace to bear all our burdens. We won’t be troubled or give up in despair and discouragement. Oh, there’s nothing like the Word and the grace of God! They include all God’s favor.
God’s Greatest Disappointment
God has been so disappointed with man down through the years. He told me one time that man and woman were His greatest disappointment. Just think about that. God has done more for human beings than any other creature on planet Earth, and yet where is their gratitude? They don’t appreciate His mercy, and they’re so ungrateful.
Read about the ten lepers who came to be healed. After Jesus prayed for them, He had to ask, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine (Luke 17:17)? Nine had gone on their way, and only one had come back to thank Him; but I’m sure that one who returned found mercy. The Bible doesn’t tell us, but I believe he received a miracle of re-creation. Leprosy disfigures people in awful ways, but I believe he was made perfectly well.
I can hear Jesus in my spirit saying, Where are the nine? And today He’s saying, “Where are all the people I’ve blessed? I’ve given them air to breathe all the days of their lives. I’ve given them a chance to be redeemed and a chance to live in Heaven for all eternity. I’ve given them a chance to have a brand-new life through the great mercy of my divine blood.”
Jesus left His home in Glory and came down to Earth to make an Eden just for us. Through the mercy and grace that He brought, we have the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit; and they’re greater than all the fruit that was available to Adam and Eve in Eden. The divine fruits can never be destroyed. We make an Eden in our hearts by allowing the blood to work in them through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Don’t Reject God’s Love
Most people in the world today have no real life; that’s why so many drink, use drugs and are tortured in their minds by the devil. Our young people are having sex outside of marriage, and many of them are getting deadly diseases such as AIDS. It’s a hellish time here on earth. People are miserable, but soon they’ll be in hell to be tormented forever. Grace has dealt with them day after day and given them more than one chance; but they don’t want to hear it. They have rejected the love of God; but they will want it one day…after it’s too late.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told the people that if they built on the sand, they would be destroyed. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:26,27). You have to get the sand out of the way and dig down to the solid rock, which is Christ Jesus. He is the rock of our salvation and the rock of our deliverance.
Jesus, the Word, and all of His grace will give us holy hands to lift up before the Lord and a holy heart that wants only the will of God. They will help us to find His footsteps and give us a pair of His shoes. Everyone can have a pair if they’ll just stop by God’s “grace-store.” Do you have those Jesus-shoes on today? I do, and I’m walking after Jesus and seeking to be as much like Him as I possibly can. I’m forever studying Jesus so I can learn all there is to know about Him. I love it when the Holy Spirit reveals different things to me about Jesus and His great love.
Grace Made the Way
The Word brought mighty works! The Bible says, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? He brought marvelous miracles, healings and salvation for all who will accept them. What a price Jesus paid to bring all of this for you and me, and we’ll sing praises to Him for it for eternity.
Thank God for the Word of grace, and thank God that He came to earth! Only through the Word can we be made new creations in Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). The Lord will reward us for our works, but we can’t be saved by them. We can only be saved through divine blood.
The light of the divine blood shines to give everyone divine direction and a plain path, if they want it. When that light shines, you can go from grace to grace, not grace into disgrace or grace into the disfavor of God. You can also go from faith to faith rather than from faith to doubt; and you can go from strength to strength, from love to love and from hope to hope.
The Word brought grace to keep us, protect us and give us strength—strength to climb the highest mountains, strength to wait upon the Lord and strength to know that all things will work for our good. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
Take On the Vision of the Word
We must take on the Word-mind, the mind of Jesus. Paul said, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). Do you have that mind? I do, and it enables me to walk on God’s highway of holiness where the Son of Heaven is shining all the time. The thunder roars and the lightning flashes, but I see the great light and power of God’s mercy.
It’s not enough to just feel religious; we must have the love and salvation of the Lord. We must have our passport to Heaven if we intend to go there one day. Jesus is coming soon, and we must bring in the harvest; but only those who have the Word can do it, those with hands that are graced by the love and faith of God and those who have the same compassion that took Jesus to Calvary.
God’s grace-Word gives such vision of the blessed hope of the soon coming of the Lord. I’m so full of what the Word will do and what He has done for people all over the world. His grace can make Heaven and the throne of God seem so close that it’s as if you could reach up and touch them. The Bible says, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Notice that the throne is one of love, mercy and grace. Come boldly before it because God the Father sits on that throne to give you all the favor, love, hope and trust that you will ever need.
Jesus came to connect us with His Father and to make Him our Father, too. He said that when we prayed, we should say, Our Father which art in heaven (Matthew 6:9). Nothing but the grace of the Word could have done something like that and then made it possible for us to look upon His face for eternity. We will be God’s holy, righteous people.
The Word Forgives
Sinner, if you want this wonderful Word, and you want to call God your Father, then come to Jesus. It doesn’t matter how many or what kind of sins you’ve committed; He will forgive you. You may have lied to, deceived and cheated people; but the Lord will forgive you. You may have given in to your lust, but the Lord will set you free and clean you up with the blood of the Word.
Say this prayer with me: Oh, God! I’m so sorry that I’ve sinned against you; but I have come home, and I’m going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus, the blood-Word, sets me free from all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come in!
If you believe the Word, He has come. The Word is yours because you’ve been born again, and you now have the image of God. When God looks at you, He sees Himself, holy and righteous.
The Word Heals
Now, it’s time for healing from Heaven. The Lord will get you well, but you have to serve Him. I’m not your healer; I’m just the Lord’s believer.
Lord, here they are. I bring them with a true heart of righteousness, with your divine love, grace and healing blood-power. Heal! in the blood-name of Jesus. Heal! in the all-powerful blood-name.
The healing power is flowing through the blood-Word; be thou made well. Watch yourself and your little ones get well because the God of miracles lives!
Now, you need to get rid of anything that hinders you in serving God or doing more for Him; that’s a bondage, and God wants all those bondages broken. Lord, break every physical, spiritual and financial bondage. Lord, you have given me power to break the bondages through grace. You have gifted me with your gifts to help people, and I never use them for my own gratification. The gifts are always operated by your Holy Spirit, and you know I never run ahead of you. In your name, I curse all their bondages!
Now, you can shout victory unto the Lord! Glorify Him and praise Him because He is so merciful, kind, tender and gentle. He’s everything you need to satisfy your longing soul.
Thus saith the Lord, I am here. I am here with grace-love. I am here with grace-laughter. I am here with grace-happiness. I am here to lift you up higher and higher. I am here to give you Heaven’s happiness that will entice others to want to come to my Heaven.
