The Tree of Death
by Ernest Angley
February 2005
In the Garden of Eden, God formed man and gave Adam and Eve all the benefits they could ever want. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:8,9). Out of all the wonderful trees in Eden, there was one tree Eve was fascinated by: the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Many people do not realize that the Tree of Life was also in the Garden of Eden. Why wasn’t Eve fascinated by the Tree of Life? Why didn’t she spend her time around it? Many today don’t spend their time around the Tree of Life, Jesus. He said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). If your name is not on the Tree of Life today, it’s on the tree of death. There are just two trees: death and life.
Genesis 2:16,17, And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. In great love and kindness God warned of the danger of the tree of death.
The Bible says, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). While here on Earth we find God’s help and His warnings in time of need.
Serpent Talk
Sin is death, sin kills, sin destroys; remember that. Yet many preachers teach today that no one can live free from sin. Well, if that’s true, no one will be in Heaven because sin can’t enter there. If you sin, your soul is dead. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).
The serpent talked to Eve. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die (Genesis 3:1-3). Some insist that people can’t stay away from sin, but the Lord told Adam and Eve to not even touch it, and God would never tell people to do something impossible for them to do.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4,5). That’s the same story the devil is telling people today: No one can live free from sin. You’re not going to die lost; you’ll go to Heaven. It’s a lie of the devil.
No Beauty in Sin
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:6). Eve was deceived; that tree wasn’t good for food really, but the devil made her think it was. The devil presents sin as being beautiful; it isn’t beautiful; it turns into ashes. No life exists in sin. The Bible speaks of bringing to life you who were dead in trespasses and sin. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).
The forbidden tree was a tree to be desired to make one wise. Trying to be wise, many people are in Satanism and the occult today, seeking the devil. They’re seeking from the most ignorant creature that God ever made, for the devil’s wisdom has none of the wisdom of God in it. People, however, follow him into astrology, witchcraft, and his other deceits. This world is full of darkness of the devil. Only one Book of real knowledge exists: the Word of God. The Word of God is a Book of knowledge of eternal life, a Book of the great wisdom of God and His love.
Many names are on the tree of death today, the tree of eternal death, eternal darkness, eternal night. The devil makes that tree look inviting to people for a moment, for a day, but many—even before the physical body dies—know their life is in ruins. Is your name on the tree of death?
Before they sinned, Adam and Eve lived a perfect life. God had made a Heaven on Earth for them; Eden was an extension of Heaven. Never were they to have died, for they had divine blood in their veins, no physical blood. They’d still be living in Eden today had they not sinned, still be right there healthy and young as ever, young as the day God made them. God had wanted it to be that way. But sin changed everything. Sin caused Adam and Eve to be cast out of Paradise here on Earth.
Eve Lost Two Sons
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him (Genesis 4:1-8). Eve had never seen death before; she wasn’t made to cry, to ever shed one tear; but now the tears are rolling. Imagine how devastated she must have felt when she had to put that dead body away, to never hear him speak, to never see his smiling face again.
Then Cain was driven away from her also. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me (Genesis 4:9-14). Cain’s name was on the tree of death and the Lord cursed him.
The Soul That Sinneth Shall Die
If you commit one tiny sin, you’re against God and your name goes on the tree of death. All who are against God today, everyone in sin—even a speck—has their name on the tree of death. A great sign hangs over that one: The soul that sinneth shall die. Unfortunately people taken over by the devil can’t see that sign. Delighting in the devil’s bright lights, they are blinded to reality, deceived by the devil.
Being deceived puts a person in great peril. Seducing devils can take minds over until people become like demons, like the devils that possess them. Devil possession brings violence, killing; devil-possessed mothers and daddies, inhumanly cruel, even commit murder. How tragic for people to become like the demon or demons that possess them. If the demon is a murdering demon it cries out for the possessed person to murder. Demons talk to people, plan out for them how they can commit a crime and tell them they’ll get by with it. Serial killers keep murdering until they’re caught or stopped by the law. The demon instills in them that lust to kill; it’s an awful thing.
Alcoholic devils bind the drunkard, increase his or her lust for more and more alcohol. Devils of drugs are satisfied only with drugs; the nicotine spirit is satisfied only with nicotine; tobacco and snuff spirits are satisfied with more snuff, tobacco or whatever. These spirits are satisfied only momentarily and then the craving starts all over again. Demon possession is the reason people have such trouble giving up their habit. But they can be delivered through the blood-power of the Lord if that is their desire.
As quick as a snap of the fingers, people who want to be free are set free from their bondages in these services when I pray for them. Those who have used tobacco for years now no longer crave it; others addicted to drugs and alcohol have been delivered in an instant. They thought they could never be rid of their habit, but they are set free through the power in the blood. The power of God and the blood of Jesus are incomparable.
Deliverance through the Blood
What can wash away our sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. When the names of Adam and Eve went on the tree of death, they couldn’t take them off. Why? There was no Calvary to redeem them.
We preach to people all over the world, telling those whose names are on the death tree that they can be delivered by our Lord and their Lord through the blood that was spilled on the Old Rugged Cross. Jesus went all the way to Calvary to get their names off of the death tree, but in order for those names to be written on the Tree of Life, people must repent. Only through the blood can it happen.
God drove Adam and Eve out of His presence. They had lost the divine blood, and now there was no divine blood to forgive them, no divine blood to erase what they had done, no divine blood to take their names off of the death tree. The Lord had warned them about the consequences of sin, but in time that warning grew dim. We have no record that they ever got back to God. It seems to me that had they gotten back, somewhere in the Bible it would have been mentioned. The faith chapter, the eleventh chapter of Hebrews in which so many of the faithful men and women of yesterday are named, does not mention Adam and Eve.
Cain’s Name Was on the Death Tree
Cain’s name went on the death tree when he murdered his brother Abel. Abel’s name, however, was on the Tree of Life; you can meet him one day in Heaven. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh (Hebrews 11:4).
It was just a step from the tree of death to the Tree of Life, but Jesus by giving His blood made that step possible for us to take. Had He not made that step possible when He left His seat in Glory and came all the way from Heaven, we wouldn’t have our names on the Tree of Life today. If your name is on the Tree of Life, it’s all because of Calvary, all because Father God sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Adam and Eve longed to have their names off that tree of death, but the Tree of Life was guarded and they couldn’t get to it. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Genesis 3:22-24).
A Gate in the Form of a Cross
The Lord sent angels with a flaming sword going in all directions to protect the Tree of Life. Not only Adam and Eve, but no one else could get into the Garden; all they could do was stand outside the gate and weep. Many hundreds and hundreds of years would pass before there would be a gate back into Eden for the human race, a gate in the form of a Cross, a Cross that took the whole heart of God to make. God the Father used every bit of love He had to make it possible for that gate back into Eden. Jesus with His great love took that fiery sword out of the hand of the angel of death and the wonderful sign went up: Whosoever will, let him come. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). Thank God forevermore!
Everyone’s name at one time was on the tree of death. How do we know that? The Bible tells us that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Just two trees…and your name is on one or the other, the tree of death or the Tree of Life. If you’re committing any sin whatsoever, your name is on the tree of death. No matter how much you deny it, the soul that sinneth shall die, not live, but die. Where is your name today?
No Condemnation for Those in Christ
Sin is of the devil. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8).
In Romans 6:14 we read that sin shall not have dominion over you. The Bible also tells us in Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Even a speck of sin has condemnation. Heaven and Calvary condemn sin, every bit of it. If you’re not blood washed today, you have sin in you. And if you don’t live in the blood of Jesus, you’ll sin against the Lord. Willful sin puts your name on the tree of death.
What is willful sin against God? Knowing an action is a sin and not caring; the person goes ahead and commits it anyway. The result: His or her name immediately goes on the tree of death to join the names of Adam and Eve and a host of others. Like a flash of lightning your name becomes imprinted on the tree of death if you sin. God moves fast against sin; He hates it. He couldn’t have hated it more than the time He watched His Son die because of it.
Jesus said, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). Many people think everyone is going to Heaven. No, everyone is not going to Heaven. There are more names on the tree of destruction than on the Tree of Life.
All But Eight Names Were on the Tree of Death
In Noah’s day the names of all but eight souls were on the tree of death. If your name is on that tree of death, your soul is in a place desolate as the desert where it never rains. No life exists in the devil, no life in sin, just destruction.
Eight souls are all God was able to save out of the thousands on the earth at the time of the flood. For one hundred twenty years, righteous Noah warned of coming destruction, and today we warn everyone we can reach of the destruction of the Great Tribulation Period that’s almost upon us. Read about it in the book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, a book many people scoff at.
Scoffers Came
Second Peter 3:3-9, Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The Bible says that in the last days, people would scoff at His Word, scoff at the notion of Jesus’ coming, and they’re doing just that.
After one hundred twenty years, after all were on board the ark, not one name of those outside the ark had been erased from the death tree. Everyone who was born during that time, other than the Noah family, followed in the steps of Mother and Daddy, and because of it their names stayed on the death tree. Regardless of all the Lord had done, even showing the great miracle of animals going into the ark, the Tree of Life had only eight names.
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah (Genesis 7:8,9). Noah’s family didn’t drive the animals into the ark; they never could have done it. God drew the animals in, a great miracle in action for all to see.
Once the animals were on board, the Lord gave seven days in which people could repent and enter the ark as well, seven days of grace, and then God closed the door. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened (Genesis 7:10,11).
We’re in that seven days of grace now, so to speak; where is your name? Is it in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Is your name on the Tree of Life or the tree of death?
The Death Tree Intrigued Lot’s Wife
In Sodom and Gomorrah, three names were on the Tree of Life. All the others were destroyed, including Lot’s wife. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men [the angels] laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he [the angel] said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:15-17; 24-26).
Lot’s wife, like the first Eve, was intrigued by the tree of the devil; drawn to the tree of death, she was fascinated by it. She knew the story of Adam and Eve; she had that example to draw on. Aware that Eve went to the death tree, Lot’s wife nevertheless was deceived by the devil. She fell in love with the sins that abounded in Sodom and Gomorrah. Even though she was told by the angel of the Lord not to look back, even though the angels had her by the hand, pulling her ever onward, in spite of it all, she looked back.
If a person doesn’t want to live for God, doesn’t want to live in the righteousness and holiness of God, he or she will not do it. Probably both angels had hold of Lot’s wife, pulling her along, but she looked back anyway. She had that stubborn, haughty spirit that is in people today who want the world and are going after it. No matter how many angels come down to help them, no matter that God the Father has sent His only begotten Son, it makes no difference to them; they love the world.
Sin Brings Judgment
The Bible says, If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John 2:15). If you have one speck of sin in you, you’re in love with the world whether you admit it or not; your name is on the death tree.
Three souls were saved out of Sodom and Gomorrah. On the thousands who lived in those two wicked cities, God rained down fire and brimstone. The Lord cannot make it more plain that judgment for sin will come; He points it out again and again. True ministers of God stress the fact, but all too many today don’t preach judgment. In fact, they’re not living free from sin, not living in the grace of God, not preaching the full Gospel to the people. They claim that everyone sins, and when a minister says that, you can be sure he’s sinning, hiding behind the lie he’s telling. The Bible doesn’t say that everyone sins; the Bible, I say again, declares that the soul that sinneth shall die.
Achan Put the Accursed Thing Above God
Consider the sins of Achan. The Israelites, having crossed the Jordan River and about to make war on Jericho, were given strict instructions to take nothing for self. But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel. And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me. And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD. And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones (Joshua 7:1,19-25). Achan, spying a wedge of gold, some silver and a garment, put his name on the tree of death, and God came down with judgment. Achan and his whole family, his wife and children, God destroyed and burnt their possessions.
Take Time for the Blood Word
God wants no part of sin. He did everything He could in Old Testament days to get rid of sin, but nothing worked. What can wash away our sins? Only the blood of Jesus. What can make us whole like the first Adam and the first Eve? What can make us pure and clean? What can deliver us from the devil, deliver us from his deceit? What can deliver us from the so-called pleasures of sin? The precious blood of Jesus.
Take time for the blood Word. I don’t just gather people here to pray for the sick, I preach the Word of God. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). If you want life in your body and soul, you get it through the Word, the living Word, the blood Word, and no other way.
People who don’t want the Word of God won’t accept it. Like Adam and Eve, they will never be able to get their name off the death tree. Although they were so close to the Tree of Life, they said No too many times to its voice, the loving voice of Jesus Christ, and now they can’t yield to Him. The death angel will be in the room when they’re dying; the demons of hell eagerly await to drag their souls into eternal darkness to be tormented as the endless ages roll.
A burning hell is waiting, a judgment facing every sinner, every backslider, every unbeliever, a terrible judgment from God on the throne. God is an angry God when it comes to sin. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31).
A Rich Man Chose the Tree of Death
Luke 16:19-26, There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
The rich man’s name was on the tree of death. Could anyone have gotten to him? No, it was too late. The Lord had sent a beggar with the message that would have taken his name from the tree of death and put it on the Tree of Life had he only listened to it. That messenger, Lazarus, begged for the crumbs that would fall from the rich man’s table; but the rich man had no heart whatsoever, no heart to give a starving, dying man a meal. The rich man was close to the Tree of Life had he only reached out for it, had he listened to Lazarus, taken him into his house and fed him. Lazarus could have helped him, directed him how to get his name off the tree of death. The rich man didn’t want to hear the story of saving grace, of sanctifying power, of the holiness and mercy of God; he was satisfied in sin. With his money he lived as though life would never end, but his soul was already dead, his name on the death tree.
So close and yet so far away, the rich man lifted up his eyes, tormented in the flame. If only Lazarus would dip his finger in water to cool his tongue…but no favors will be granted in hell, no favors granted in the eternal lake of fire. The devil rejoices over every person whose name is on the tree of death.
Listen to the Spirit
Where is your name? Which tree does your name hang on? Jesus died on a tree, an Old Rugged Cross for you and me so our names could be taken off of the tree of death and placed on the Tree of Life to live forever. He paid an enormous price, but many don’t care. Just like Adam and Eve, they don’t believe all that God has said; just like Eve they fail in the first place by listening to the devil.
The Lord lets us know that we’re not to listen to the devil. He said for those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). Listening to the devil will get you into trouble every time. Never will he direct you to something good, never take you to the Tree of Life; rather, he’ll take you straight to the tree of death as he took Eve. Hand-in-hand, Eve led Adam to the tree of death. If some people today had been there, they would have declared: Adam and Eve have such a wonderful marriage! Look, now she’s showing him an unusual tree. Isn’t that sweet!
That’s the way people are. Maybe one marriage partner wants to serve God, and the other one is pulling away, trying to get the companion’s name off the Tree of Life and place it with his or hers on the tree of death. Through the spirit of the devil they work just as hard as they can.
The Tree of Life Was Moved to Heaven
There’s a hell waiting for everyone in sin, a hell where the rich man is spending eternity, a hell with no way of escape. The Lord gave me this message, wanted me to bring it to you: Think about it; study it. The Tree of Life was guarded as long as it was here on Earth, and then the Lord moved it up to Heaven. It’s in Heaven today. John tells us about it and the River of Life. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:1,2).
In Heaven you will live forever; but, remember, you can’t be in Heaven having one speck of sin. Sin destroys. A speck or a wagonload of sin will keep you out of Heaven; it makes no difference how much or how little sin you commit. Just as one drop of blood can save every sinner on planet Earth today who will yield to it, one speck of sin can destroy every soul who gives in to it. Sin destroys, destroys, destroys. Any amount of sin destroys, any spirit of it destroys; sin is death, death, death.
The tree of death, the tree of destruction, I say again, is presented by the devil to look desirable, inviting. The devil convinced the first woman God ever made of the “beauty” of sin when in reality there was no beauty there, only barrenness and death. He made her think the fruit was good when it was deadly poison. What a price she paid for sin when she held the dead form of her son Abel in her arms!
Is Your Name on the Death Tree?
Sin curses, one speck of sin curses your life for all time and eternity. The only thing that can take the curse away is Jesus, the curse cure. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree (Galatians 3:13). Jesus was cursed on a tree so He could lift the curse of sin from you and me; without Him there is no salvation. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). No other name can remove your name from that death tree and place it on the Tree of Life.
Jesus brought back the Tree of Life, the Tree of forgiveness, health, compassion, the Tree that shows the way from Earth to Glory. What vision you have when your name is on that tree! If you talk to Heaven, you’ll find real life; but if you talk to the devil, he’ll tell you the Tree of Life is quite unnecessary.
Where is your name? If it’s not in the Lamb’s Book of Life, it’s on the tree of death. Oh, God help you! God shake you so that you can’t eat, can’t sleep until you surrender to Him!
The Sinners’ Prayer
You who are unsaved, give your heart to God today. Backslider: Hurry home before night or you won’t get back home. Be glad that Jesus is your Tree of Life. He died for you. You can change trees; you can get your name off of the death tree and back on that wonderful Tree of Life if you want it. But one day it will be too late and you’ll find yourself in eternal night. Heaven is where the Tree of Life will always be as the endless ages roll.
Oh, God, I know my name is on the tree of death, eternal death, eternal damnation. I’m cursed by God, but Jesus came and lifted that curse, and I can have forgiveness through His shed blood. I confess all my sins, and I believe the blood of Jesus washes them all away.
If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! My name is on the Tree of Life at last, for time and eternity! My name is on the Tree of Life; no more eternal death, eternal darkness for me! Thank God Almighty I’m free!
Jesus came saying, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). If the Son of God sets you free you’re absolutely free for time and eternity.
God is the Healer
You who are sick and afflicted: It may be AIDS or the AIDS virus; untold thousands have been healed of AIDS. The Lord has gifted me for those who are bound with that death disease. Millions of you have that death working in you, but you can have the Tree of Life. Cancer, heart trouble, diabetes or whatever disease or affliction you may have—there’s healing for you, physical healing and spiritual healing. If you have given your heart to God you can be healed right now as people all over the earth have been healed through this Jesus ministry.
Lord, I bring those with AIDS/HIV to you, and I bring those with other diseases that have no cure through medical science. In the name of Jesus, as the servant of the living God with authority from Heaven, I inject all-out miracle blood power into their bodies. Heal! in the blood name. Heal! in the holy, blood name of Jesus. Heal! Heal!
The healing power is flowing. Let that little one be healed. If you’re afflicted with AIDS or the AIDS virus know that whole families are being healed of it, and your family can be healed as well. Write later and let me know about it. Get your doctor’s report that you have been made whole. I’d like to hear from you.
The God of miracles lives. With God all things are possible, but remember, you must stay free from sin. The soul that sinneth shall die. Keep your name on the Tree of Life, your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Jesus is life for us, and without Him there is no life.
God bless you today and always.
