God is not weak, and He will never bring any weakness to His children. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength (Isaiah 40:28,29). If there is anything weakening you spiritually, physically or mentally, it is not from God.

God is not afar off. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The Lord will give you power and strength if you trust Him; but if you talk about being sick and weak, that is what you will be. Divine strength comes through the grace of God, and that grace is all of the favor and mercy that you will ever need.

Always remember that the Lord wants to do you good. For I will set mine eyes upon them for good (Jeremiah 24:6). But you will not succeed when you rely on your own strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall (Isaiah 40:30). God is the only one who truly increases strength. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul (Psalm 138:3). When your soul has great strength, your body will, too. The voice that speaks in your mind and says, “You are not going to make it,” does not come from God. The Lord will never weaken you or cast you down; He will strengthen you and lift you up. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up (Psalm 30:1).

You must want God’s perfect way. God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect (II Samuel 22:33). Then the Lord will bless you with peace. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace (Psalm 29:11).

God Gives Strength

He [God] sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay [my strength] (Psalm 18:16-18). You can always depend on God.

He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me (Psalm 18:19). You can think of these large places as acres of blessings. God will deliver and delight in those who put their hope and trust in Him, but you must also delight in Him. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4).

When you delight yourself in the Lord, you are living in the divine will of God. Then the Holy Ghost and Jesus Himself will help you to get your prayers through to the Father. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26,27). It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

Never doubt your own prayers and always be ready to say as Jesus did, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42). When you pray that way, there will be times when you will actually feel the power of God shoot into your body.

My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word (Psalm 119:28). When the Psalmist was in great distress, he drew strength from God knowing that God would be faithful to what He had promised. You will carry heavy loads and have many battles in this final hour, but you must realize that the source of your strength is the Lord; and you must depend on Him to give you both spiritual and physical health.

God uses His Word to strengthen us, and in it is where you will find His promises and His faith. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). If you want God’s strength, you will have to study and live in the Word because that is the means through which He flows His strength to us. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong [in the Lord], and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one (I John 2:14). The Word will make you strong in the Lord.

There is no weakness about God, so why would He weaken His children in any way? When we were weak and held captive in sin, God sent His Son to rescue us and bring us salvation. That is why we must leave all the sins of this world behind. When Jesus healed people, He said, Go, and sin no more (John 8:11). The Bible also says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).

Jesus Brought Eternal Life

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6). Through sin, men became weak and gave themselves over to the enemy; but Jesus brought strength for all who willingly come to Him. Who his own self [Jesus] bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness (I Peter 2:24). When you are dead to sin, you won’t sin anymore. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There is only one name—Jesus—that can give you salvation and take you from Earth to Heaven.

When Jesus cried on the Cross, It is finished (John 19:30), He meant that the plan of redemption for soul, mind and body was completed. He had brought the new and living way. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:20).

When Jesus died, the physical veil in the temple was rent in two. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (Mark 15:37,38). That veil was not rent from bottom to top as man would have done but from top to bottom, signifying that God had done it. He had come down and made the way for us to have eternal salvation through His Son.

Through Christ’s shed blood, the message went forth, “Whosoever will, let him come.” And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). People throughout the world can now come to Jesus and call on Him at any time.

Jesus Brought Healing

Jesus did not bring sickness; that comes from the devil. Jesus brought healing. And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people (Matthew 9:35). There was nothing that Jesus could not heal.

And his [Jesus’] fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them (Matthew 4:24). Jesus brought deliverance for those who had no hope; and today, He will heal and deliver you, too, if you will only let Him.

The Bible says, By whose [Jesus’] stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). The word “were” means that healing is already ours; so all we have to do is accept it, believe it and hold on to it through the faith and love of God. It is God’s will for us to be in good health and prosper. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (III John 1:2). God did not make the human race to be weak but to be strong and healthy.

Jesus did not bring captivity; He led people out of bondage. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men (Ephesians 4:8). Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18).

God’s true children are being anointed to do those things, too. We have everything we need at our fingertips, and we must use what the Lord has given us to deliver people with His divine power and then give Him all the glory. We just have to believe in all of God’s greatness and let Him work.

Jesus did not bring death; He raised the dead. At Lazarus’ tomb, he [Jesus] cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth (John 11:43,44). Jesus even conquered death Himself. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:55)? The angel at Jesus’ tomb said, He is risen; he is not here (Mark 16:6).

God Is Our Comfort

You must know without a doubt that nothing of God will weaken you or cause you despair. After Jesus ascended back to Heaven, the Lord sent the Holy Spirit so that we could be strong in the might and the power of Him. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). The might of God’s power can be great within you all the time, and you don’t have to feel it to know it is there. The Bible says, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

We will have tribulations in this life, but God will deliver us out of them all if we allow Him to. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Jesus conquered everything for us, and He is at the right hand of the Father looking out for us right now.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God (II Corinthians 1:4). One reason why the Lord comforts us is so that we may comfort others who need help. The Lord used Titus to do that for Paul. For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus (II Corinthians 7:5,6).

God Is Not Foolish

Many people in Paul’s day thought God was weak and foolish because in their eyes, He did not measure up to what they thought He should be or do; however, Paul said, The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men (I Corinthians 1:25). Paul did not mean that God is weak or foolish but that God’s ways can appear to be weak and foolish to those who don’t know Him.

Even today, the preaching of the true Gospel seems foolish to many; but God uses the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe (I Corinthians 1:21). The world’s wisdom does not know God; it takes the seeming foolishness or simplicity of the truth to know God.

God uses the foolish and weak things of this world to confound the mighty. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty (I Corinthians 1:27).

When Jesus walked among men, He preached in simplicity so all could understand His message; so never allow yourself to be seduced by those who use big words of man’s wisdom. Paul warned, But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ (II Corinthians 11:3).

Big words and ego mean nothing to God. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage [their high learning] (Jude 1:16).

The Bible describes true, godly wisdom in James: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). You must take on the simplicity of Christ Jesus if you want to please God.

Have No Fear

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright (Proverbs 10:29). The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed (Psalm 28:8). Children of God are the anointed of the Lord, and they are heirs of His strength. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17).

You don’t have to be afraid of or troubled about anything when the Lord is your all in all. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid (Psalm 27:1)? The Lord said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

Fear comes from the devil, but perfect love can cast it out. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18). The devil rules through fear; and if you have any of his fear, you must get rid of it because the Bible says, And in nothing terrified by your adversaries [the devil and his demons] (Philippians 1:28).

The Bible does refer to fearing God, but that kind of fear means to honor God. Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God (Deuteronomy 10:20). You must honor God with every breath you draw; and you must always glorify Him, walk like Him and talk like Him. Paul said, But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world (Galatians 6:14). Everything we need comes through the Cross of blood.

We do not know what the Lord has in store for us, but we do know that everything will be all right for those who trust God with all of their heart. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6).

When our hope is in the name of the Lord, we can be strong and fear nothing but God. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:2-8).

We Are at War

Each one of us is in the midst of a war today between God and the devil, and only one is going to win; so you must choose to be strong in the Lord. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10).

God furnishes us all the power of His might that we need just like He did for His Only Begotten Son, Jesus, when He was on Earth. Jesus said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). Then He gave that power to His disciples saying, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19,20).

Watch ye, stand fast in the [divine] faith, quit you like men, be strong (I Corinthians 16:13). “Quit you like men” means we are not to be like men; we are to stand strong in divine faith because man’s faith won’t work. We also have to be strong in God’s grace. Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 2:1).

The four scriptures we have just studied are direct commands from the Lord about how to be strong. The points you need to remember are that you must be:

1. Strong in the Lord
2. Strong in the power of His might
3. Strong in divine faith
4. Strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus

The Bible never tells us to be strong in the flesh because our human flesh is weak, and that is why God gives us so much to make us strong in His Spirit. Then we will not need to give over to the flesh. Jesus said, Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41).

We are fighting great spiritual battles. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (II Corinthians 10:3,4). A spiritual war requires spiritual weapons; and with them, we are pulling down the strongholds of the world and giving souls a chance to come into the Kingdom.

You don’t have to worry about the battles. Just pray, fast and live in the Word of God; and you will be all right. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You must study the Word with the help of the Holy Spirit, the great Teacher.

Wear God’s Armor

The Bible tells us, The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name (Exodus 15:3). In 1954, I walked with God in a vision; and He was dressed for war. Those who walk with Him today will also have to be dressed for war, wearing the whole armor of God. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). “Wiles” are tricks done in a disarming or seductive manner that are intended to deceive or ensnare you.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). All the powers of hell are now coming against us. The devil is using everything he can to try to destroy God’s children, and battles of the mind are one of his greatest tactics.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). No one will last in this war by relying on their own strength because we are having battles we never thought we would have. We can only stand by being strong in the Lord.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth [with the Word of God], and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:14-16). With the shield of faith, you can stop all the devil’s fiery darts; and they will just fall at your feet.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). All of the instructions and promises in the Bible are yours, but it is up to you whether or not you use them. The Holy Spirit will give you insight into the Word if you have Him living within you and you want His help. When the disciples received the Spirit, He gave them insight into the Word; and they started walking in God’s strength.

You must study each piece of God’s armor knowing that you can have it, and then you must put it on every day. Then the devil will never be able to overcome you or destroy you with any of his weapons. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isaiah 54:17).

After describing the spiritual armor, Paul went on to say, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). This does not mean you are to pray in tongues all the time; it means praising the Lord with the anointing. The Lord lives in our praises, and He will draw so nigh to you when you praise Him.

God Is Enough

God wants you to know the exceeding greatness of His power as Paul did. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (Ephesians 1:18,19). That is the power that will change you in a moment when the Rapture takes place. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).

God warns us to look to Him and trust Him more than anyone or anything else. Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD (Isaiah 31:1)! Many people in the world today look to many things for strength, but they will not seek the Lord’s strength. True children of God will seek the strength from On High that will enable them to walk, talk and be just like Jesus in every way. He brought all the divinity we will ever need.

One definition of the word “strong” is to have great resources, and we have the greatest resources ever made available to man in all the powers of God; but to be able to use them, we have to be as holy as God is in all things. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:15,16).

Never let imaginations or battles of the mind make you think that God’s resources are not sufficient for you. The Bible says, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5). Anything that is against the knowledge and the Word of God comes from the devil. He will try to get into your mind through imaginations, but you must gird your mind against him and refuse to accept his imaginations.

Never let the devil rob you of the beautiful thoughts of help that will come your way when you walk in the steps of Jesus. Christ brought all the thoughts of God to Earth when He came, and He never let the devil plant any thought in His mind that was against His Father. The devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness, but He sent Satan on his way by giving him the Word. If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God (Luke 4:3,4).

When you feel weak, read the Word and let it bring God’s strength to you. He wants you to have His strength and power so you will have a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled (II Corinthians 10:6). When you are obeying the Lord in all things and using His resources of divine love, divine faith and anything else you could ever need, you will have the power to overcome anything the devil tries to bring against you.

Leave the World Behind

You will never be able to fight a good spiritual war if you entangle yourself with the affairs of this world. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (II Timothy 2:4). Those who are soldiers in God’s army are chosen by Him, and His Son bought them with His life.

The armor of God stands up against all that is in the world; but when you conform to this world, you have already lost the war. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever (I John 2:15-17).

Only those who do the whole will of God will live forever, and all others will find themselves in hell for eternity. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30).

The Bible says, Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). When people backslide from the grace of God, the latter part of their life will be worse than the beginning. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ [and that is the only way to escape it], they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning (II Peter 2:20).

Why is that so?—because the devils that went out of them when they first came to the Lord will return and bring many more devils with them. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first (Luke 11:24-26). It is dangerous to go away from the Lord; and the longer a backslider is out in sin, the more devils will come to him and try to overcome him so that he will never get back to God.

Never Endorse Sin

Consider all the unmarried couples who are now living together and you will see that the world puts little value on marriage. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). If you let members of your family who are living together and committing adultery or fornication come into your home, you will become contaminated by that spirit. You will also lose all of your influence over other family members as well as your neighbors and friends.

You are responsible for what you allow to go on in your home, and that is thus saith the Lord. You cannot allow people to commit adultery or fornication in your home. Jesus said He came with a sword to divide families, so you will have to separate from all those who are against God no matter who they are. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household (Matthew 10:34-36). The devil will try to make you feel guilty for taking a stand for God; but if you are a true Christian, you won’t listen to him.

The Bible lets us know many times that we can conquer, overcome and be a winner in this war against the devil. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37). To be more than a conqueror means that you have all the power you need to conquer all the devils that are coming against you and still have more power left.

When you overcome the devil, you must remain steadfast. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (I Corinthians 15:58). We all must be able to say as Paul did, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (II Timothy 4:7). He considered the Gospel of Christ to be the only thing worth fighting for.

Faith Brings Victory

The saints mentioned in Hebrews 11 used divine faith to bring about great results. Who through faith subdued kingdoms [tore down kingdoms of the devil], wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions [like in Daniel’s day]. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth (Hebrews 11:33-38).

When you use divine faith and let God take over, He will make you strong like those early saints were; and you will make it. However, the Lord called human faith little faith, and that kind of faith won’t work. When Peter stepped off the boat to walk the waters, he used divine faith. Peter said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:28,29). But when Peter saw the big waves rolling toward him, he allowed human faith to take over. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid [because he started using human faith]; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him (Matthew 14:30,31).

Peter was not able to get back to the boat by himself and would have drowned if the Lord had not reached out His hand and lifted him up. Then Jesus said, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:31)? How many times have you failed to walk the waters because you used human faith instead of divine faith?

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:57). Victory only comes through Jesus Christ, and that is why the devil fights so hard to get your mind off of God. He knows that if he can do that, it will delay you in receiving an answer from Heaven or even in receiving a miracle or healing.

When you use divine faith, the Lord will make a hedge of divine blood around you just like He did for Job. Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side (Job 1:9,10)? The Lord had to take down that hedge for the devil to be able to test Job; and then Job stood the test saying, Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15).

Divine faith always brings victory from Heaven. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (I John 5:4). There is no reason for anybody to fail or backslide, but the devil is working hard on people to get them to fail. There will be some who will backslide at the last minute and miss the Rapture.

Use Divine Strength

When Adam was created, he received his strength from God. The Lord breathed upon the form of clay, and Adam became a living soul. Life comes from God, and all of our spiritual and physical strength comes from His presence dwelling within us. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16). When you are born again, your strength comes from your soul through God’s Spirit; but many children of God don’t realize that, and they are always looking outward for their strength.

At Calvary, the Lord puts His salvation, love, grace, greatness and all that makes up His strength into your soul. Then you have to let that strength flow to you by being rooted and grounded in love. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height [of God’s love] (Ephesians 3:17,18).

Only the strength of Jesus will work for the children of God in this last hour as we battle against the powers of darkness and the strongholds of the devil. In the midst of such horrible conflict, the great strength of Heaven is ours through Jesus Christ; however, just as the Lord had trouble delivering it to His disciples, He has trouble convincing many children of God to receive His strength today.

Only after receiving the Holy Ghost did the disciples learn to use the Jesus strength the way God had intended it to be used, and that same strength from Heaven is available to you today. The Lord said seven times, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). If you want the strength, faith, love and hope of God, you must listen to what the Spirit is saying.

God gave great strength to the prophets. Daniel said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me (Daniel 10:19). Samuel said, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth (I Samuel 3:9). Letting God speak is the secret to receiving God’s strength; and the cry of every child of God in this last hour should be, “Speak, Lord; I am listening.”

When people talk to you about the greatness of the Lord, you will feel your strength increase because the strength of God flows from one child of God to another; but words from the wrong people can sap your strength because discouragement flows from them. The Bible teaches that we are to have the fellowship of Jesus; and that means we must walk in the light of Him, have His greatness and listen humbly as He speaks to us.

You Must Believe

Many people doubt God because they have never seen a miracle or His promises in action. In the past, the Lord has not been able to display His greatness on a grand scale; but thus saith the Lord, this final hour is a different hour. God is now revealing Himself and manifesting His almighty power for mankind. He is doing unbelievable things and performing impossibilities for those who will really look to Him, trust Him and yield to Him. You can have your miracles, your healings and your deliverances through the Word, the promises of God.

Your strength lies in believing what God has promised, so how strong is your faith in His promises? The Psalmist said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust (Psalm 18:2). The Lord offers us all of His strength, all of His love, all of His faith and all that He has.

When a father brought his son to Jesus for deliverance, Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief (Mark 9:23,24). When your faith has reached its limit, let God’s faith take over.

The Lord is looking for people on whom He can perform miracles, people who will give Him all the glory so He can show the world that He keeps His promises. God needs to use people to be able to reveal Himself in great ways, so you need all the Jesus strength you can get in this final hour. Only then can you be a true witness for the Lord and put the greatness of the Lord on display for all to see.

You don’t have to buy the things God offers; they are a gift, but they will never be yours if you won’t accept them and use them. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). Only good gifts come from Heaven. Sickness, oppression, depression and other such things come from the devil.

God is not keeping Himself and His gifts out of your reach; man put God out of reach when he sinned. But since Jesus came, anyone can be in reach of God if they will just take the steps toward God that the Lord has given them the ability to take.

Depend on God’s Strength

When you are on a long fast, you will find that the more you depend on God, the more He will strengthen you. I have been on many forty-day fasts, and that is a long time to go without eating; but whenever I feel weak, I just say, “God, you will have to strengthen me.” Then the power and the strength of God come upon me, and I can minister to my congregation just as though I have not been fasting. If the power of God can come upon me that way and give me such miraculous strength, then the power of God can come upon you any time you need it if you will look to God for it.

The power of the Lord can be yours, but you have to use it. God does not give it to you so you can store it away; you must use your salvation to make the Lord’s power a living reality in your life. Draw from the wells of salvation and allow the Holy Spirit to serve you. Let God flow His righteousness, holiness, goodness, love, faith and greatness into your soul. Then His strength will come gushing forth like mighty rivers that will overcome every weakness.

The Bible says, Walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing…Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power (Colossians 1:10,11). Child of God, you must realize that you can draw on God’s strength just like you draw on His love and faith. Stop wasting time searching in the wrong places for the things you so greatly need when they are already in your soul. Then you must realize that you are never too weak for the task ahead.

Some people think that God only gives us strength to stay out of sin, but there is much more to God’s strength than that. He has all the strength you need physically and spiritually, so you must claim it and learn to draw on it. The devil will fight you every step of the way to make you think you cannot do that because he knows he cannot defeat the strength of God. If you walk in the strength and power of God, you will have victory every time.

I have learned how to draw on God’s strength during miracle services in which I minister to people for hours. Many times, I do not know the end of my strength because the Spirit of the Lord gives me power to go on and on. When the power of God flows through me into the people I am praying for, it is as if every muscle and nerve in my body receives strength that can linger in my bones for days after a service.

Jesus Used Divine Strength

In this last hour, we must have Jesus victory all the time. The divine Son of God received strength from His Father when He was here on Earth by staying connected with Heaven, and those of us who are children of God today must stay connected with the Father, too. Then we will have everything we need.

We must walk, talk and act like Jesus so we can take His place here on Earth just like the Early Church disciples did. Many of them were betrayed by loved ones and friends, but they were not afraid because they trusted God. They knew their great strength came from Heaven, and it flowed from one child of God to another.

In a congregation of God’s true people today, divine strength and help flow like mighty rivers. People have been healed and delivered in my services just by listening to the preaching.

We must go forth in the power of the Spirit just as Jesus did. Before He started His Earth ministry, He went into the wilderness to fast for forty days and nights; and the Bible says, Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit (Luke 4:14). Jesus received more than just spiritual power from His fast; He also drew physical strength from it that He used to carry on His ministry.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was in great agony as He took complete responsibility for man’s sins and sicknesses; but God strengthened Him. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:43,44). Jesus never would have been able to endure the Crucifixion if He had not received strength from On High. Even when it looked as though the Father had forsaken Him, Jesus had divine strength.

You don’t have to wonder whether or not God will manifest Himself today the way He did yesterday because He gave you His promises, and they should put His strength into your soul. There are many times when we have allowed the devil to lead us into the darkness of fear, despair and frustration because we were looking for the past reality of God; and at those times, we have asked ourselves, “Where is God today?” The answer is that He is in your soul. You must draw from Him on the inside, and that is how you can have eternal life.

God Is with You

When the disciples were being tossed about in their little boat on the stormy sea, they were shut in with the Master and the power of Heaven; but they didn’t know it. All that registered to them at that time was the reaction of their physical senses—fear. But then Jesus awoke and simply said, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39).

It is human nature to seek an opening in the clouds when you are in the midst of a storm; but when you don’t find it and you don’t have God, you will be shut in with despair. However, if you are a child of God, you will be shut in with the Lord. Don’t spend your time trying to find a break in the storm; just realize that God is with you. And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us (Matthew 1:23).

You must live and breathe and have your being through the promises of God, not through your physical senses. For in him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). You can have more of the life, love, faith and greatness of God than you need; so why worry about where your strength is coming from? The Psalmist said, I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD (Psalm 71:16); and so must you.

When the Lord becomes living reality inside your heart, you will have the joy and strength of Heaven abiding within. The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Heaven’s peace, love and joy are all yours to use; but you must use the things of God the way He planned for them to be used if you want them to work.

God did not spare Himself when His plan of redemption had to include the suffering and death of His only Son. Heaven paid the ultimate price to carry out God’s plan, and that is why it works. Like Sarah, we must judge God faithful who had promised (Hebrews 11:11).

You must learn how God works in this last hour; and when you know the power and greatness of Him, you will know the strength of Him. When you finally reach Heaven and understand all that was available to you while you were on Earth, you will realize how much more of God you could have had. That is why you must seek to know all of God’s plan now through the Holy Spirit. He is the teacher who will guide you into all of God’s truths to help you in this last hour of the Lord’s greatness and the pouring out of His mighty power.

Today Is the Day

The Lord is ready to help us day and night, and He is always on time. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9).

Jesus would go into the mountains and stay all night talking to His Father, and God was there for Him all the time. And when he [Jesus] had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone (Matthew 14:23).

We are now living on borrowed time from the Lord, and our time is short; so we can’t waste a minute of it. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2). We have no promise of tomorrow, yet so many are always planning what they are going to do when tomorrow comes; however, tomorrow never gets here because it is always today when it arrives.

If you have any sin in your heart today, you have sold your soul to the devil; and there is no other place for you to go but hell. Surely you don’t want that; so if you are not saved, today is your chance to get right with God. Only then can you enjoy peace and happiness as the endless ages roll on and on.

The Son of God came to Earth and died for us; and now He is saying, “Come to me.” Let Him come into your heart so you can have the Jesus strength for soul, mind and body, the same strength Adam and Eve had in Eden. Pray the sinners’ prayer right now: Oh, God, I am so sorry that I sinned against you. Forgive me, Lord. I confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for me; and now, I will live for Him. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come into your heart. In His name, you can take His strength for your inner person and for your physical being. Listen to what He is saying to you as He speaks daily to your heart in close communion and shines His great light on your path to show you the way. Walking with Him is easy when you have His light to show you where to step, and God furnishes all the strength you will need; but you will never be as strong as you ought to be without the Holy Ghost. You must have Him as your teacher and guide. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). You also must have the Spirit to make the Rapture, the one flight out.

Claim Miracle Strength

God gave His only Son to suffer and die for our salvation and physical healing—it is a twofold atonement. When Jesus went to the whipping post, the Bible says, With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Just before Jesus died on the Cross, He said, It is finished (John 19:30). That meant the plan of salvation for all mankind was completed.

God does not want His Son’s sacrifice for your salvation and healing to be in vain. It is no problem for Him to heal you; the trouble comes when you are afraid to ask for what you need. Jesus said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7).

There are people who come into my healing line asking for miracles for others but not for themselves because they think it will be too much, but they have no concept of the greatness of God. Abraham prayed for an entire family, and the Lord healed them all. So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants (Genesis 20:17).

God can make you well all over, so why would you ask Him for only one thing rather than everything you need? God never intended for man to be sick or weak; He meant for us to be strong like Him. God proves again and again what He wants for people when He heals them. Every miracle and healing is strength for those who receive it.

When I was just twenty-three, I was close to death with an affliction that was eating my life out. I thought I would die for sure; but then one night, Jesus came and made me whole. He gave me great strength, and I was a new person. That is what God’s miraculous power can do in just a moment of time.

Jesus came to me when I needed Him so much and did for me what no other power could do, and His healing touch is for all who will believe on Him. If you need a physical miracle of strength for your life, take it from the Lord now and say, I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD (Psalm 71:16).

Lord, I bring the weak, the sick and the afflicted to you. Let your strength flow now like mighty rivers. Deliver those with AIDS, cancer, heart trouble, diabetes and all other deadly afflictions. Heal! in the holy name of Jesus. Heal! in the name of the Lord! Amen.

Study this message, and let it work for you. The Word brings you the strength of Jesus, and nothing less than that will be sufficient for a child of God in this last hour. The Word will bring health to your flesh and deliverance to your spirit. For they [the words of God] are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22). You can never separate God from His Word.
