The Powers in the Blood
Volume 17 The Mysteries of God

May 1995
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation (Romans 13:1,2). Those higher powers reside in the blood of Jesus and are directed by God. If you resist without repentance the powers of God, the powers in the blood of Jesus, you will receive damnation.
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith (Romans 16:25,26). The sinless blood of Christ was a mystery to the prophets of old. They understood about the blood of animals but not about the blood of the Son of God. Not until the Early Church came into being was the mystery of the blood made clear to believers. Now you are learning the mystery of the blood as they learned it in the Early Church. How sad that the Church went on to lose understanding and knowledge of the blood. Therefore, they lost salvation, the power of the blood. The light of the Gospel went almost completely out.
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (I Corinthians 4:20). The power of the Kingdom of God is in the blood. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God (I Corinthians 1:18). To the unsaved, to dead church members, the blood is foolishness. But to all who are saved by the blood—and by the blood is the only way salvation can come—the blood is the power of God unto salvation, unto redemption, unto deliverance. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God (I Corinthians 1:24). Christ’s divine blood has all of the power of Heaven in it for the Church today.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (I Corinthians 1:30). How wonderful that God would make His Son all of those marvelous things to us. The wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption of Heaven are ours. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). We take His divine blood through salvation. You could read every word in the Bible, memorize it all, but if the blood of Jesus is not in your heart, you still wouldn’t have salvation. The Word of God within itself can’t deliver; it takes the blood. No blood? No salvation. You have no right to call God Father unless it’s through the blood. Jesus’ relation to the human race is what makes us sons and daughters of God. Only through the blood of Jesus can you become a son or daughter of God. By blood-faith you are saved; no other kind of faith will do it, only faith in the blood.
All the grace of God is in the blood. Do you think you are saved by the amount of work you do for God, by donating large sums to His work? It’s through the blood only that you are saved, and then that blood must continue to operate in you. You must keep the divine blood of Jesus flowing in your soul or you won’t be saved at the end of your journey here on Earth. Jesus said, He that endureth to the end shall be saved (Matthew 10:22). He that will walk hand in hand with the Lord and keep that divine blood working in his or her heart will be saved. There isn’t anything in the world like the divine blood of Jesus.
Think about the ethical purity of Jesus. He knew no sin. No guile was found in His mouth. Jesus never confessed to being a sinner. Standing up to His accusers, He challenged them to convict Him of sin. Because He had committed no sin, He never repented of sin, but He told others to repent. Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3,5). Jesus repeated this verse twice; these are the verbatim words of the Master.
Jesus lived uprightly; Pilate could find no fault in Him. Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him (Luke 23:4,14). Pilate not only found no sin in Jesus, he found no fault in Him.
Pilate saith unto him [Jesus], What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all (John 18:38). Pilate asked Jesus what was truth, and when Jesus told him, Pilate said he could find no fault in Jesus. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him (John 19:4,6).
Pilate washed his hands, but he couldn’t wash away the guilt. He will have that guilt on his hands for all eternity. He could have taken Jesus into his heart; he had met the Savior, but no doubt he died without hope and without God. Having the power to free Jesus, he didn’t use it.
Pilate’s wife had been troubled in her sleep. When she woke she warned her husband: Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him (Matthew 27:19).
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God (Matthew 27:54).
Judas said, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood (Matthew 27:4). One of the twelve disciples, Judas had followed Jesus, had seen His life, His miracles—and still he betrayed Him, later confessing his sin.
The spiritual insight of Jesus was a wonder to behold. No one had ever lived in closer communion with God than Jesus. Study His life. Jesus declared that He always did the will of the Father, speaking to Him in the most intimate terms. Jesus taught that only true spiritual worship of God is acceptable.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23,24). How many people really worship the Lord in spirit and truth? He cannot be worshiped any other way.
Jesus prayed much to the Father in secret. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly (Matthew 6:6). One who lived so close to God could be nothing but honest and true. Impostors and fanatics could never have fabricated so spiritual a character. His calmness, courage and patience are amazing. Christ never lost control of His poise or His courage.
We are supposed to be like Him. How many times do you lose self-control? How many times have you failed to be a testimony for the Lord, failed to be His witness? Face your failures and determine to never repeat them again. Be calm, courageous like Jesus.
Although Jesus never courted danger or persecution, He never fled from them. No marks of an ill-balanced nature mar His teachings and conduct. Others may claim to be Christ-like, but if they don’t have the blood applied to their hearts, they will not act like Jesus. Jesus is your example. He didn’t use anything other than the divine blood that was in Him, and that divine blood is available to you. The blood has not lost its power.
Taking on human flesh, Jesus became very man as well as very God. This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us (Acts 7:37,38). Moses said the prophet would be “of your brethren.” Jesus had to become related to the human race to be of the brethren. He had an earth mother, but the blood comes from the father, not the mother. Divine blood flowed in His veins, for it was the Holy Ghost who overshadowed Mary.
To walk like Jesus, you must have divine blood, divine nature. Divine blood gives divine nature. Too many have tried to imitate Jesus and have not really taken on His nature.
The blood will work if you let it, but you must want it to work, recognize it to be divine. Many do not recognize the divine blood of Jesus; many churches do not offer the divine blood of Jesus for salvation. Church membership alone is offered. Shake the preacher’s hand, be baptized in water, and you’re on your way to Glory—according to them. If, however, you have not been born again, you are on your way to hell. A church without an altar has left the blood out; it’s a dead church. If you attend a church that doesn’t give people a chance to be born again, you had better go somewhere else.
People have salvation through the blood as long as they let the blood work in them. But if they begin to do little things, little disobediences, they stop the flow of divine blood in their hearts and lives. Obedience to God daily keeps that blood flowing.
The blood must be used in all battles with the enemy. Never think about battling the enemy if your soul isn’t covered with the blood. In Revelation we read that when Christ comes to do battle in Armageddon He will be clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God (Revelation 19:13). He will come to meet head-on the enemy along with everyone else who lines up with the devil.
Some people think they can’t live without sin. They have not learned that the blood can keep them pure. The ones who teach that a person cannot be sinless do not really believe in the divine blood of Jesus. They give lip service, not heart service to the Word of God. If the blood were applied to their hearts, they would be living free from sin knowing it is the only standard the Lord has for His people. God doesn’t have a double standard; He has only one: holiness. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). The blood separates you from all sin unto righteousness, holiness.
What would you be redeemed from if you were not redeemed from sin? What is in your heart that you need redemption from? Sin. As long as you accept the divine blood of Jesus it separates you from that sin. Believe in the blood of Jesus, that He is Lord, Master, Savior, that His divine blood washes away all your sin and makes you a new creation. The old you is gone; you are in a brand new world. As long as you yield to the blood of Jesus, you stay free from sin; but the moment you stop yielding to that blood, you go back into sin. That’s the reason Jesus came. Man couldn’t stay out of sin. Under the Law, people had the Day of Atonement, but they would go right back into sin shortly after that.
When the divine blood is not used, the divine fruits of the Holy Spirit cannot be produced. That’s the reason the love, the peace, and the other fruits of the Spirit are not produced in many lives today. They really don’t have that divine blood applied to their hearts.
In the divine blood is the promise of the Holy Ghost baptism. If it were not for the divine blood, you could never be filled with the Holy Ghost, never even have the promise of the Holy Ghost. To receive the Holy Ghost baptism, you must first become born new. Although the Holy Ghost will seal the born-new soul with the blood, that is not the Holy Ghost baptism but a requirement for the baptism. There is no need to seek the Lord for the baptism in the Spirit if your soul is not sealed with the blood, the only seal the devil cannot break.
When you deny the blood of Jesus being applied to your heart, you are denying the Holy Ghost, for without the blood, the works of the Holy Ghost can never be performed through you. Without the blood, no one can live a godly life. To deny the Holy Ghost baptism is to deny power from On High.
Many have carried the name Christian so loosely that the world has lost confidence in the Lord’s church. Looking on hypocrites in the church, the world judges them and turns away, seeking other things to fulfill their spiritual needs. Trying to hide their lives behind Jesus, they deceive their own hearts, for their sins are open to God. You can’t lean on the everlasting arms of God unless the blood of Jesus is in your heart. No one will get into Heaven without going through Jesus, without being washed in the blood.
Without using the blood, man cannot possibly stop sinning. Too many have tried and failed. They may have come down to the altar and eased their consciences, but because the blood was not applied, they were not saved.
If you don’t know whether or not you are saved, you are not. How could you be born new all over and not know it? Were the Lord to give you one new finger, you would know it. As long as the blood is applied to your heart, you have the smile of God and He loves to look at you. Only through the blood will He look at you. The Lord will not keep His eyes on those who are not justified in His sight; justification comes only through the blood. God looks, and if the blood is upon that person, he or she has the smile, the favor, the direction, the powers of God.
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Whosoever believeth in His blood shall not perish. Those who believed Jesus came down from Heaven got results when He was here because they knew He had divine blood, believed He was born of a virgin. He had the flesh of a human being but the blood of divinity. Believe in the powers that are in His blood, that it is divine blood.
If you have one doubt about the Virgin Birth of Christ, you are not saved; you can’t use that blood, cannot put faith in it, unless you believe it’s divine blood and it works. If you haven’t had a “blood bath,” you’re a child of the devil. Jesus told the Pharisees: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). God is not the father of those with sin in their hearts. The blood of Jesus, not one drop, will stay in a heart with sin in it. But when the blood of Jesus strikes the accepting heart, it devours sin in a split second. Those who did not accept Jesus as manna from Heaven did not accept His divine blood.
All judgment comes through the blood, no judgment without it. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son (John 5:22). The Father committed all judgment to the Son through the blood. Those with the blood applied to their hearts will not face the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of the Tribulation Period. If you are blood-washed, you met your judgment at Calvary and were judged pure. What grave responsibility we have toward the blood of Jesus!
When the soul is washed in the blood and keeps the blood flowing, there is no more judgment for that soul. Jesus paid the price for us, and the cry went forth to Heaven: Not guilty! With His blood Jesus paid the redemption price, and we accepted His blood. There is no guilt because there is no sin; the blood washed it all away, cast it into the sea of forgetfulness. That’s how destructive the blood of Jesus is to sin; it’s the most deadly weapon against sin we have.
If you don’t honor the blood, you don’t honor God. That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him (John 5:23). You must honor God, the blood and the Son to be accepted by God. You cannot honor the Father without honoring the Son. People who do not recognize Jesus are not honoring God. You can’t get to God without going through Jesus. When you pray, “Father, in the name of Jesus,” the Throne Room door flies open because you are coming with all the powers in the blood of Jesus.
Some people say they would serve the Lord if they could get a physical miracle. Don’t make Jesus king in your life in hopes of a physical miracle but because of the divine blood. When people ran after Jesus only for the miracles and not because of His divinity, Jesus withdrew. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone (John 6:15).
Without the blood, you have no living waters or bread of life, no light of Heaven to shine on your way. All the light of God flows through the blood. Until your sins are washed away through the blood, you are in total darkness. Only the light of mercy through the blood will shine forth upon sinners to show them their sins.
As long as you yield to the divine blood, every drop, you have salvation in your soul; but willful sin drives away that saving blood. Willful sin is rebellion against the blood. If you commit a wrong after you have been born again, the Holy Spirit will let you know right away that you have disobeyed God, that you have grieved God’s Spirit. Repent immediately or your conscience may become so hardened you will live out your life in deceit and go on to spend eternity in hell.
The divine blood measured exactly the same when it was taken back to Heaven as it had before it left. Divine blood was spilled on Calvary for us; it can never be destroyed. Hell can’t destroy it, nor the devil and all his angels. That blood is God-life, it’s like God Himself. We’ll have it for all eternity. Every drop of divine blood will remain on the altar of God, saith the Lord, as the endless ages roll. You will be able to go there and look at it, that divine blood that paved your way to Glory, made you a new creation.
How amazing and wonderful is the blood! How do you use the blood? Through the faith that resides in it. There is an eternal faith from God in the blood, a gift to all who want it. When people hear about the blood and accept the Word, the faith from the blood flows to that person. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). The sinner finds himself crying, “Lord, I believe!”
The promises of God cannot be claimed without the blood. Claim the promises of God through the blood faith, the blood promises to the blood washed, the pure in heart. The only way into God is through the blood. Through the blood applied to our hearts let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). When you are born new, you can come just as boldly before God while you are here on Earth as you will be able to in Heaven, for you are just as holy now as you will be then. There is no in-between: you are either holy or unholy, godly or ungodly, sinless or sinful.
How do you yield to God? Through the blood; there is no other way. People have tried to yield to God without the blood and failed. This divine blood—so wonderful, so marvelous, unbelievable and fantastic—makes human beings nigh unto God. The first man and woman were pure and clean like God Himself. Because their souls came from God, they could have nothing else but the divine nature. Through the divine nature comes the divine blood. But Adam and Eve contaminated themselves with sin, and the divine Spirit or nature of God would not work to keep them sinless any longer. They had been created without sin, to never sin; they had all power over sin. The divine nature of God was in them in the beginning; it had been created in them. That divine nature was really the divine blood, but it had not been offered as a sacrifice at that time. Adam and Eve had all the benefits of the divine blood that we have, but they lost them; their sins had separated them from God. You think you can’t backslide? Adam and Eve did. They had—just as you have—free choice. You are a free moral agent to choose to stay with God or to leave Him. Jesus shed His divine blood through sacrifice, offering Himself as a sacrifice to redeem mankind and make us new creations.
When you have the blood of Jesus, you have power over all sin, over all demonic spirits. The Holy Spirit is the agent who uses the blood, applying it to your heart for salvation. Using the blood, He brings purification. You are sanctified through the truth, through the blood of Jesus. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17), Jesus prayed.
You cannot be perfect in love without the blood. Not having the blood applied to their hearts and souls, many claim people cannot be perfect in love. Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Only through the blood is this possible; divine blood was flowing in His veins as He spoke those words, divine blood that would be offered for us so we could be perfect in love. The blood is used to rid us of all sin, so why shouldn’t we be perfect in love?
The blood prepares the soil of the soul and keeps it prepared for the production of the fruits of the Spirit. The blood brings you who yield to it into divine favor with God. You will have no more favor with God when you are in Heaven than you have here on Earth with your salvation. If your soul is covered with the blood, if the Son of God has set you free with His blood, you are absolutely free. You cannot commit a little sin and still be absolutely free. Many are deceived about this, disgracing the work of God and the Lord who died for them by claiming to be saints of God when they are sinners.
Jesus said, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Mark 8:34). How can you deny self? Only through the blood can you put self down and keep self in its place with God, the Son and the Holy Spirit in your heart. People say they can’t control themselves, but when they give themselves over to Jesus they have control through the blood. As long as you use the blood, you have control. Everything needed to put self down is found in the blood.
There is no grace available to anyone without the blood of Jesus, no grace to carry you through to Heaven, no grace to protect you. In the grace of God is liberty and freedom from all sin, deliverance. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (II Corinthians 3:17). The Spirit of God is the grace of God.
Only through the blood are you supplied with what you need to defeat the devil and live like Jesus. You must have your supply of overcoming power daily through the blood. If you don’t have the blood, you are not connected with the supply house of Heaven. Many don’t have the help they need because they are not carrying the divine blood in their spirits, in their souls.
Through His blood you are given the greatness of God. To deny His redeeming blood is to deny Calvary’s victory for the human race, to deny His resurrection from the dead, to deny the Holy Ghost baptism and the second coming of the Lord.
Some preachers claim there won’t be a Rapture. Why? They don’t have the blood in their hearts. Any preachers who would claim that there won’t be a Rapture (you can mark this down, saith the Lord) do not have the blood applied to their hearts. Without the divine blood in their lives, they are preachers of the enemy, carrying the devil’s false light. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works (II Corinthians 11:14,15).
In the divine blood of Jesus is the message: I am coming again! An angel told the disciples at the ascension of Jesus: Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:11).
The divine blood was speaking through Jesus when He told His followers, In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2,3).
Jesus told His blood-washed disciples, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils (Mark 16:17). The only way devils can be cast out is through the blood of Jesus. One devil can’t cast out another devil. That is the reason the name of Jesus absolutely must be used. You can’t effectively use the name of Jesus from your heart if the blood isn’t there.
Some people speak the name of Jesus and nothing happens because they don’t have the blood in their hearts; they don’t realize the benefits of the powers in the blood. The Bride of Christ will recognize and acknowledge these benefits, saith the Lord, and that’s the reason she will be a holy terror to the devil and his demons.
There is no Church of Jesus Christ without the blood. The 53rd chapter of Isaiah tells us about the Atonement. The true Church, the spiritual Church, was bought with the redeeming, divine blood, which things the angels desire to look into (I Peter 1:12). God’s angels have no understanding of sin, have never felt the need of forgiveness. At one time Adam and Eve didn’t have understanding of sin, either. Before the fall, they were sinless; they had the power of divine blood within them, the divine nature of God in their hearts and souls. We are made to be partakers of the Lord’s divine nature through the blood. But we also have free choice, the ability to choose—as Adam and Eve chose with disastrous results—to trample that divine nature underfoot.
You will never understand the blood, never know what it will do for you, until you have used it. Before I was saved I thought if I used that divine blood, my happiness would be but a memory. I thought I would have to act like an old man in my teens. I didn’t understand the blood. But then the blood flowed through me and made me brand new. I came up from the altar the most astounded person one could ever meet. I don’t think anyone ever treasured the blood more than I did. Those first six weeks after I received salvation, I was like one in a trance; the blood was that wonderful and great. It had made me a brand new person. I didn’t talk or act the way I had before. I was free, free, clean, filled with great joy, and reaping the miraculous results of the blood in my soul.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (I John 1:5-7). There is no darkness in God, and if we have the blood of Jesus applied to our hearts, no darkness will be in us. Sin is darkness. If you walk in darkness, in any sin, you are not acting out the truth.
Only through the blood of Jesus will the light of God flow. The blood cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (I John 1:8). Many have misused this verse by claiming people cannot live free from sin. That is not what the Bible is saying to us. It means we are deceived if we say we don’t need the blood because we have no sin. All must have the blood to be cleansed from sin. When you say you don’t need the blood, you trample the blood underfoot, nail Jesus to the cross once again, for you have the same spirit as those who crucified Him. Those who drove the spikes into His hands and feet were no more sinners than anyone else who rejects His blood. Many watching Jesus being crucified that day trampled His blood underfoot.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). People joining the church without being born again through the blood do not have the sin nature taken out of them. A pig can be cleaned, washed, perfumed, but let him loose and he will head for the first mudhole available. He has a pig nature just as sinners have a sin nature. Returning to sin is their will when they are degraded in sin. They do not have the divine nature. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us (I John 1:10).
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). You found that peace the day you were saved. Faith and peace come through the blood. You are not justified, remember, by anything but faith in the blood of Jesus. If you have one speck of sin in your heart, you cannot be justified in the eyes of God. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:2).
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him (Romans 5:9). You can’t be saved from the wrath of God unless you’re justified through the blood of Jesus. The wrath of God is upon the whole human race with the exception of those who have the blood applied to their hearts. The blood justifies them and takes away the wrath of God.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement (Romans 5:10,11). How does that joy come? It comes in the blood. How could you be saved and not have joy? Through Christ you have the Atonement, an eternal Atonement. Eternal security comes only when the blood is applied to the heart and kept there as you walk in the righteousness of God.
Without the blood you are an enemy to God. Sinner, you are an enemy to God. You may not think so, but God says you are. You can only be reconciled to God, saved, through the life of Jesus. There is no other salvation for you. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There are those who claim that once you are saved you can never backslide. The devil never deceived with a bigger lie.
The Lord knows the ones who belong to Him, the ones with the blood applied to their hearts. Divine blood will not mix with sin. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12). All of us at one time were sinners; all of us needed a Savior—no exceptions. We all have to be born new through the blood.
For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many (Romans 5:13-15). You have the grace of God in this sinless blood, the gift of grace which came by one man: Jesus Christ. Death came through Adam; life through Jesus. We all are under the curse of death, but one man with divine blood has delivered all from the curse who want to be delivered. It’s whosoever-will, let him come.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:16,17,19). Through one man’s offence to God, death reigned. But see the miracle of reigning life through Jesus Christ, through one man’s obedience. He was very God and then He became very man, our elder brother, to reconcile us to God. Only through the blood can you be justified, sanctified and accepted by the Lord.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1). If you have condemnation before God, you are not saved, the blood is not applied; you’re walking in the flesh, not in the Holy Spirit of the Lord. Jesus, the Only Begotten of God, gave His life to reign in us. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8).
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 5:20,21). When people didn’t yield to the Law, sin abounded more and more. God gave the Law to show us what was right, what was wrong. If there were no law against a crime, how would people know it was wrong? The Law made sin obvious. You can count on the grace of God abounding greater than all sin. The blood, not the sin around you, was meant to have everything to do with how you live. You are offered the blood that will destroy sin and keep you holy. God said His people would be a holy people. As long as you stay in the blood, you are holy. As long as you stay in the blood, you don’t sin; you’re in divine blood, and one day you will be in God’s divine Heaven. You certainly don’t plan on sinning there.
Through the blood, Jesus lives in you. You have His life, the same life He lived here on Earth. You have become His hands, His eyes, His feet, His holy vessel.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood (Acts 20:28). Jesus, that manna come down from Heaven, purchased the Church with His own blood. The oracles of God, all the great things He gave us, are alive through the blood of Jesus.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:21-23). You sinned, came short of His glory, but through Jesus Christ you have received His glory.
Let me talk to you again about justification: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). There is no redemption other than the redemption that comes through the blood of Jesus. The blood justifies freely; it’s freely given. Jesus is the one whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God (verse 25). Through faith in His blood comes remission of sins. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus (verse 26). God is just, and He has made it possible for you to be justified in His sight. You can’t blame God if you miss Heaven; you can’t blame God for any unholy paths, any unholy living you choose.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:27,28). Paul knew the Law, he knew grace and he knew how to separate the two. You are justified through faith, forgiven of your sins. It’s not by works, remember, but by the blood of Jesus.
Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law (Romans 3:29-31). Today circumcision of the flesh is not required for salvation; under the Law it was. You are no better spiritually if the flesh has been circumcised than if it has not been. Circumcision of the heart is spiritual through faith in God. Stephen called the enemies of God the uncircumcised in heart.
Your miracle comes through the blood of Jesus. With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The blood was shed at the whipping post, miracle blood, healing blood, blood with all power. The blood of Jesus can defeat all the enemies of God. It’s blood full of mercy, compassion and filled with the peace of Heaven. The blood brings great joy to the redeemed—and great joy at the time of redemption. It’s the blood of life eternal, the blood of truth. If you reject the blood, you reject all the truth of God. All the truth of God is in the blood.
The blood of Jesus is the blood of cleansing, the blood of deliverance freeing you from anything and everything not of God—if that is your desire.
Homosexuals can have deliverance through the blood if they want it, even though the true homosexual was born with that condition. The miracle power in the blood can make right that which was wrong at birth. There is no excuse for people to practice homosexuality when they can be delivered through the blood; if they are not delivered and if they continue to practice homosexuality, they will go to hell. Those bound with unnatural appetites can be set free through the blood no matter who they are. God wouldn’t be just if He had not provided a way for them to be set free; but they, I say again, must want to be delivered. Sinners must want to be set free from all their sins or the blood won’t work for them. The blood is not forced upon anyone.
God cursed the disobedient, gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another…Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them (Romans 1:26,27,32). But God is just, and He provided deliverance through the shed blood of Jesus for all to be set free. If those with unnatural appetites use the blood in faith wanting to be set free, those desires can go from them and they will be normal, saith the Lord. Because God provided deliverance, there is no justification for continuing in sin. Blood will set the captives free no matter the captivity. Jesus came to set people free from all bondage.
The blood of Jesus brings eternal salvation. His blood with songs of happiness and joy, His blood of justification can be applied to you if you want it. In a moment you can be justified in the eyes of God. Although you may be lost, a sinner unclean, undone, unfit for God’s Heaven, as soon as you put your trust in the blood, faith turns on the blood and the blood flows.
If you confess your sins, remember, God is faithful and just to forgive all your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. When you are sorry for your sins and begin to confess them to God, faith comes in. When I began to confess my sins the night I was saved, suddenly I had the faith to say, “Yes, Lord, I believe I’m saved right now!” But I had not had that faith when I went down to the altar.
That sanctifying power of the blood will keep you in the grace of God, make you a special vessel unto the Lord. You can’t have a divine walk without the blood. Until you acknowledge the blood, you can’t put your hand in His nail-riven one; without the blood, it won’t fit. With the blood your hand suddenly is cleansed, made to fit His.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (I Timothy 2:8). Hands are made holy through the blood. Without a holy heart, you don’t have holy hands. Your hands are joined to your heart.
The all-powerful blood name is Jesus. I speak it and demons become helpless. In one of my services, I met one man who had over three thousand devils in him. He came rushing across the platform to challenge me. He was wild, unkempt and the devils were screaming through him. The raging of hell was in his spirit. Thousands of devils were in Legion of Bible days. Now the devils told me, “I’m Legion! I’ve come to challenge you!” Before he got to me I said, “In the name of Jesus, in the holy name of Jesus, come out of this man!” He fell like a rock. He was free now, free. He returned for the next service, lit up like Heaven. “I didn’t even know what I was saying,” he told me. He hadn’t been the one speaking; it had been the devils.
If you plan to work among demonic powers, to cast out devils, you must know what you are doing, and you must go in the blood and the blood name. I always meet devil-possessed people in the name of Jesus—I don’t dare use my own. Only in that name is all power.
In the Philippines thousands of people attended the crusade. One woman, weighing at least three hundred pounds, was full of devils. She had come to destroy the service. About five or six men were trying to hold her, but she dragged them with her to the front of the platform. “Turn her loose!” I said. I spoke it in the name of Jesus; I spoke with a blood voice, the blood voice of Jesus. “In the name of Jesus I command you devils to come under subjection to the Spirit of God!” She thudded to the floor and lay there like a log from a huge tree. The devils had been brought under subjection through the power in the name of Jesus, and she didn’t bother anyone the rest of the service. Loving the power of the devil, she hadn’t wanted deliverance. Thinking to disrupt the service, she would have liked to have destroyed me.
I depend on the blood name to cast out devils; I never cast them out any other way. I use the blood, honor the blood. I tell the audience to honor the blood, to think upon the blood of Jesus, on His divine blood from Heaven. Heavenly blood is for us to use, the blood of the Godhead. God is life, Jesus is life, the Holy Ghost is life, life that makes man and woman a part of God, a part of Jesus, a part of the Holy Ghost.
Many who cannot seem to receive healing from God have never tried to reason with Him, only with people. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18). The Lord did not tell us to reason with people but with Him; He’s the one who gives miracle faith. The blood of Jesus purifies the spirit; it-s purifying blood. It flows with life and health, flows out sickness and disease. In the name of Jesus healing comes. You can’t use that name in all its power without the blood. The name is a part of the blood. All the powers in the name of Jesus, all the powers of God are in the blood.
In the blood is understanding of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. You get understanding through that blood flow, saith the Lord. It’s the blood of reconciliation, reconciling you to God. Sin breaks that fellowship. All the knowledge and the wisdom of God flow through the blood, nothing lacking. You will be using that wisdom and knowledge for all time and eternity as you reap the benefits of Heaven’s holy blood. You don’t ever want to be free from the blood.
Now through that blood you can have so much that the human mind can’t comprehend it all. When you have a glorified body, you will be able to accept the greatness of the blood completely in a great, mighty way as the endless ages roll.
All the compassion, all the love for the human race is in one word: Grace. And grace is in the blood. All the thoughts and the favor of God for mankind are in grace. All the happiness, all the joy, all the peace, all the protection is in grace that resides in the blood. Grace covers it all.
The blood is the blood of truth. This blood makes a person holy before God. It’s blood that protects you from the powers of the devil; you have all the protection you need over the devil. That’s the reason the Lord said His people would trample devils underfoot, cast out devils, lay hands on the sick and they would get well—all that overcoming power is in the blood name of Jesus.
People look for security in the world, seeking money, possessions; but real security is in the blood. You don’t have eternal security without the blood. Temporary security is not really very secure. Through the blood you have security that all Heaven will be yours. Through the blood you have become a joint-heir with Jesus. Through the blood you have taken out citizenship papers in Heaven. This old world is not your home; you’re just traveling through, a pilgrim and stranger on Earth. Why should you pine over this life? Eternity is your destiny. Through the blood, angels come to minister to us. You are an heir of salvation through the blood. Are they [angels] not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)?
In the blood you have full assurance. Why should you suffer a nervous breakdown when you have full assurance that everything will be all right? You have full assurance that you will be in Heaven one day, that you will live forever. If you die, you have full assurance that Jesus is the Resurrection, the life, giving you eternal life. The blood is the power of His resurrection. Without His blood you have no hope of the resurrection of the righteous, only the horror of eternal damnation.
The blood of redemption is the divine blood of freedom and liberty, blood containing the entire mind of Christ and everything that went into the makeup of His mind when He was here on Earth. His blood is the blood to destroy all curses, even the curse on the earth. His blood will bind the devil and put him in the pit for 1,000 years. You see an angel with a chain of blood coming to bind him, putting it around his neck and dragging him to the pit. The blood of Jesus is the power to cast Lucifer and all his angels into the lake of fire. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation (Romans 13:1,2).
You don’t have to run from the devil; you have to run to God, find Him as your shelter, your refuge through the blood of Jesus. Under the wings of the Almighty you have that place of rest, assurance, freedom, liberty, joy and peace. It’s all through the shed blood of Jesus, blood to destroy all the evil kingdoms of the world, all the wicked. Every wicked person will be destroyed, saith the Lord, through the blood. The blood of Jesus is all-powerful, lacking nothing; all powers are in the blood. It’s the blood of righteousness, holiness, blood to destroy sin forever in you and keep it destroyed as long as you walk with God.
Yea, saith the Spirit of God: My blood is sufficient to cleanse every sinner. My blood is sufficient to deliver all. And my grace is sufficient to help each one walk through the blood powers that my Son brought to Earth. Do not be weak because through the blood you have everything needed to make you strong, to make you strong and walk like my Son walked and do the work of your heavenly Father like He did. Through His blood, the obedience that He used, you have it supplied. Yield to it. The humility that He had is in the blood for you: use it, use it. The peace, the joy, the compassion that He had is in the blood available to all of my children. In His blood you have the power needed to walk with me, to have fellowship with me. In His blood is the love that I always recognize in the voice of any of my children. And my ears are open to their cry with that love that’s in the blood of my Son Jesus. Trust in the blood, the divine blood. Trust with all your heart, and you will be a vessel of honor, and you will be used by your Lord in many, many ways to bring in the harvest in this the final hour, saith the Lord.
Sinner, the only thing that can save you from hell, from eternal night is the blood. If you die in your sins, you will be in darkness for all eternity; not even the light in the blood will penetrate the darkness that God will turn man over to, that eternal darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Don’t go to hell. If you don’t have the blood, if you are not living free from all sin, the blood is not in your heart. Think about the blood. Plead for the mercy in the blood. Pray this prayer with me now: Oh, God, save my soul! I am so sorry that I sinned against you, but I have come home. I will serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I believe in the blood of Jesus. I believe in all the powers that are in the blood of Jesus, and I know there is power to wash away all of my sins, no matter what I’ve done. I know the powerful blood of Jesus will wash away every sin, and I will be free for time, free for eternity. I will always trust in the blood and live pure, clean and holy through the blood of Jesus, through the powers in the blood. And I believe the Jesus blood, the divine blood from Heaven washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus!
If you meant that prayer, He has come. Praise God, your sins are gone! Praise God for the blood of Jesus!
You who are sick and afflicted, I come with faith in His blood stripes. He went to the whipping post for your healing. With His blood stripes you have physical healing. Can you trust Him? I trusted Him when I was so nigh to death I thought I wouldn’t live more than a few days; but then through the powers in His blood, Jesus came and poured His life into my body, and I was made every whit whole. He cured every disease and affliction in my body. I trusted that blood for my salvation; I trusted that blood for my healing. There is power in His holy blood and in His blood name.
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. There are powers in your great divine blood over all diseases and afflictions, powers to make all corrections and deliver people from any unnatural appetites. They all can be free and normal through the blood of Jesus. And in the name of Jesus, I command it done! Yea, in the holy name of the Lord, the blood name.
You can have a miracle. Healings are taking place, saith the Lord. God is moving by His mighty greatness through the shed blood of Jesus. The miracle power, the healing power in the blood is flowing to human beings. The divine blood carries powers over all weaknesses, sins and diseases. Your miracle is in the blood. With His blood stripes you are healed. We thank you, oh Lord, and we are amazed at your greatness! There are powers, powers, wonder-working powers in the blood of Jesus.
