The Power of His Resurrection

The great Apostle Paul said, That I may know him [Christ], and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10). Paul’s ultimate desire was to know Christ and the power of His resurrection.

When Paul met Jesus, he wanted more than just the knowledge of Jesus; he wanted to experience Him and His power in every way possible, even in His sufferings and death…and he did. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). Do you want to know Jesus like that?

Paul did not want to live for himself; he wanted to live like Jesus and die like Jesus, and he did through the power of Christ’s resurrection. Paul said, This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13,14).

Paul said that before he was saved, he had once been the chief of sinners. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15). But once Paul was saved, he closed all the doors to his past and didn’t look back. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).

Paul wanted the prize of the high calling of God more than anything else, and he settled for nothing less. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ (Philippians 3:8). The Lord wants every child of God to be filled, led and controlled by the Holy Ghost.

Paul was from a wealthy family and had received the best education available in his day. He was looked up to by the world, and he held one of the highest seats in the courts of his people; but when he compared all of that to the power of Christ’s resurrection, he realized he had nothing. Paul had found a greater love and a greater power; so all the things he had once gloried in and put confidence in, he counted as nothing.

Know Christ’s Power

Do you really want to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection? Like Paul and the other apostles, you must not only know the power of Christ’s resurrection but also give witness of it to the world.

Many people know of Jesus, but they don’t know Him as the Son of God who died for their sins and rose again; and they don’t know the first thing about His power and what it can do for them. If all the people who claim to be pleasing God really are, where are the miracles? That is what Gideon wanted to know when he and the Israelites were being so oppressed by the Midianites. And Gideon said unto him [the angel of the Lord], Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles (Judges 6:13)?

Many people in the world today have a form of godliness, but they have denied the true power of God. For men shall be lovers of their own selves…Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:2,5). Those who have only their own power and righteousness will get nowhere.

Today, many people and even preachers believe and teach that nobody can live free from sin; but the Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). If God cast out of Heaven the devil and the angels who followed him for sinning, then no one with any sin in them will get through the gates. God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment (II Peter 2:4).

You have to separate from the world and from all those who reject God. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (II Corinthians 6:17). If you don’t separate, you will be headed for destruction.

Christ’s Power at Work

Jesus’ apostles and followers had a chance to see the power He had in action. In one instance, a man brought his son to Jesus with what we would call epilepsy; and that spirit was trying to destroy that boy.

The father had first taken his son to the apostles, but they couldn’t cast out the spirit; so he went to Jesus who asked him, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:21-23).

Jesus immediately threw that “if” right back at the man saying that all he had to do was believe, and it would be done. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose (Mark 9:24-27).

Afterward, the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast out the spirit; and He said, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Fasting is not easy because it afflicts your soul and brings great discipline to it. You must receive the same discipline and humility Jesus had if you want to have and be able to use the power of His resurrection.

The Resurrection Is True

Unfortunately, many people don’t believe in Christ or the power of His resurrection. The Sadducees in Jesus’ day did not believe in the resurrection of the dead at all, but Jesus had something to say to them about that. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living (Matthew 22:29,31,32). Abraham had been dead in body for a long time when Jesus said that, but the Lord said he is not really dead. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob still live on because of Christ’s resurrection power.

God is the God of those who are spiritually living, not those who are spiritually dead. Sinners have not chosen God to be their God, and many of them have even blasphemed and sealed their destiny in hell forever.

Blasphemers can never get to God, and God will never want them. He hates them, and the Bible tells us that He will laugh at their calamity. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh (Proverbs 1:24-26). He will be a laughing, mocking God to all who reject Him.

If people don’t believe in the resurrection of the dead, they cannot believe that Christ was raised from the dead; but the Bible says, For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins (I Corinthians 15:16,17). In other words, if you believe Christ is still dead, your faith is useless. You will always remain a sinner; and when you die, you will perish and be in hell forever with your sins and disobediences.

If there was no Resurrection, there could be no salvation. The Crucifixion would mean nothing, and we never would have heard about Jesus’ life on Earth. If there was no Resurrection, then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished (I Corinthians 15:18). But that can’t be so because Jesus said He would bring our loved ones with Him when He returns. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him (I Thessalonians 4:14).

Stephen Was a Great Witness

Before Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, he was a Pharisee. Like the other Pharisees, he believed in God, in the resurrection of the dead and in the letter of the Law; but he did not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. That is why he really thought he was doing God a service by persecuting and putting to death those who believed in Jesus and preached that He was crucified and risen again.

Christ’s disciples knew the power of His resurrection; and even though they knew they might have to suffer for it, they felt the need of being witnesses to it. Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he [Jesus] was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection (Acts 1:22).

Today, you don’t have to be ordained to be a witness of Christ’s resurrection. If you have Jesus in your heart, you will become a witness because you will know without a doubt that He lives in you and that you are covered with His divine blood.

Paul eventually came into that realization; and it all began one day when he witnessed the stoning of Stephen, a young man who was full of divine faith and the power of the Holy Ghost. Stephen had something greater than all of Paul’s high learning and material wealth—he had the power of Christ’s resurrection. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people (Acts 6:8).

Stephen had more wisdom and knowledge than any Pharisee or Sadducee ever had. And they [the people] were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake (Acts 6:10). If Christ had not risen from the dead, Stephen never could have received that great power. You can have that same faith and power; and when you will accept them and use them, you will be able to face anything.

Stephen knew Jesus and the power of His resurrection; and because of that, he became the first martyr of the Early Church. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (Acts 7:59,60). Stephen died like Jesus did, saying, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Stephen could not have died with such grace if he had denied the great power of Christ’s resurrection. Because he believed in it is why the people were persecuting him. They thought they could do away with what he was teaching by stoning him to death, but that didn’t happen. Instead, it made the divine power he had work in a greater way.

Stephen Changed Paul

Paul didn’t cast any stones at Stephen the day he died, but he was agreeing to his death when he watched over the cloaks of the ones who were stoning Stephen. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him [Stephen] with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul [later to be called Paul] (Acts 7:57,58).

I believe that when Paul saw Stephen die like he did, he couldn’t get away from it. Even though he was still a tyrant who was planning to persecute and imprison Christians, I believe his heart was being pricked by Stephen’s last words and by the power he witnessed in Stephen’s life and death.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven [the power of the Holy Ghost]: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus (Acts 9:1-6,8).

Once Paul met Jesus, he was a changed man; and soon after, he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost when a good disciple of God, Ananias, prayed for him. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized (Acts 9:17,18).

From that day forward, Paul no longer wanted his own righteousness, only the true righteousness of Christ. He wanted to know the power of His resurrection, and he always lived in it. Paul became just like Jesus, and he never failed in anything.

You Need Holy Ghost Power

Paul had Holy Ghost power, and we must have that same power. The Spirit is a wonderful comforter and guide who will come to live inside you, and you will never lose your way when you follow Him. He is a great teacher, and He will always teach you the will of God.

The Holy Spirit knows everything that Jesus taught when He was on Earth, and He will bring those things to your mind when you study the Word with Him. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). You have to give your mind over to the Holy Ghost and let Him lead you. Then He will bless you and use you. He knows exactly how to use each personality.

No one can please God completely without the Holy Ghost because He is the one who will guide you into all truth. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

You can’t know all the power of Christ’s resurrection without the baptism in the Holy Ghost because that is power from On High. Jesus said, And, behold, I send the promise of my Father [the Holy Spirit baptism] upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).

Jesus told the disciples they would need that power from On High to be witnesses for Him. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). If your heart is right, it will be crying out for more and more power from On High; and it will be seeking to win as many souls as possible.

Jesus was the Son of God, but even He had to receive the Holy Ghost when He walked on Earth as a man; and He is our example. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21).

Then Jesus spoke through the power of the Holy Ghost and gave instructions to His apostles. Until the day in which he [Jesus] was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen (Acts 1:2).

Then He commanded them to receive the Holy Ghost. And, being assembled together with them, [Jesus] commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). It was not an option; it was a command, and it is not an option today either.

Only the Spirit Can Change You

The Holy Ghost is the one who dresses us in robes of righteousness and holiness so we can do the job God has for us and be the glorious, spotless Bride. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). The Lord has told me three different times that you must have the Holy Ghost to make the Rapture.

The same Holy Ghost power that lifted Jesus when He ascended into Heaven is the same power that is going to take us up on Rapture Day. When Jesus took on human flesh, He had to have the Holy Ghost to be able to be taken up; and we must have it, too. That is why I say again that you must have the Holy Ghost to meet Jesus when He comes.

When the Holy Ghost takes His flight from this Earth, it will be just as if He is gathering all of us at one time into His arms of love and strength; and we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).

Jesus knew how important the Holy Ghost would be to people; so after His crucifixion, He took the blood He shed for our sins to Heaven and poured it out before the altar of God’s throne in the presence of His Father. Then He came back to Earth and stayed with the disciples forty days and nights to teach them all about the Holy Ghost.

Even before Jesus was crucified, He had told the disciples of the Comforter who would come. I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you (John 14:16-18).

Be Full of the Spirit

You don’t have everything you need when you get the Holy Ghost; that is just the beginning. You must go on to seek the fullness of the Spirit and become a workman for the Lord. Study [the Word] to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

When you are full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, you will act in direct obedience to Him. Then signs, wonders, miracles and healings will take place; and miracles bring people to God. That is why so many people come to the Lord in our crusade services. They see the miracles, and they want to find the God who is performing them. When they do, they come into the Kingdom by the thousands.

You can’t have the mind of Christ without the Holy Ghost, and every child of God is supposed to have it. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). The Bible also says, We have the mind of Christ (I Corinthians 2:16). Paul is the one who wrote that, and he didn’t say we are seeking the mind of Christ; he said we have it. When you have something, you possess it; you are not waiting for it.

When you are full of the Holy Ghost, you are complete in Christ. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). To be complete means there is nothing lacking; and when you are like Jesus, you will lack nothing.

When a person seeks to be like somebody else, he must have that person’s nature or it is just a show. That is why you must take on the true nature of Jesus. Just pretending to be like Him while still living in self and human emotions will not bless people; it will only cause trouble.

The Anointing Makes the Difference

The anointing of God comes through the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus had that anointing; and He said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18). If you have that anointing, you are called to take the Gospel to the world.

The anointing was offered to the Jews, but they would not hear what God was saying to them. Isaiah the prophet wrote, For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear (Isaiah 28:11,12).

Many people today are not hearing the Lord either. They want to go to Heaven, but they want to go their way; and their way will never lead them there. The Lord offers us divine peace while we are on this Earth, but those who want their own way are so discontented because they have allowed the restless spirit of the devil to take them over; and they have rejected the great Comforter, the Holy Ghost.

Jesus delivered people through the anointing and the power of the Holy Ghost. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). There is a difference between devil oppression and devil possession. You cannot be a child of God and be possessed by the devil, but you can be oppressed by him. That is why Jesus came to deliver us from all of that.

You can have that same Holy Ghost power and anointing. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him (I John 2:27). You have to open your heart to receive God’s anointing. Then you have to keep it and use it daily.

Depend on Divine Power

What is the power of Christ’s resurrection? It is all the power that was given to Jesus when He was on Earth, and we can have it. Jesus said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:18-20). That same power is on the Lord’s table for you; and the Lord is saying, “Come and dine.”

You can have power over the devil. Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). The Lord has taught me that you can spray the devil with the divine blood, and he will run. That blood spray burns him just like fire burns our skin. That is why the blood is Heaven’s most powerful weapon.

You must always be seeking for more and more of Heaven’s power so you can use it to get this Gospel to the world. When Jesus was here, He told His disciples He would make them fishers of men. And he [Jesus] saith unto them [Peter and Andrew], Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him (Matthew 4:19,20).

To be like Jesus and follow Him, you are to be as holy as God Himself. He said, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Through the power of Christ’s resurrection, the Bride of Christ will be that holy and perfect. She will walk, talk and act like Jesus.

I always want to be like Jesus; so when situations arise and I don’t know what to do, I ask myself, “What would Jesus say? What would Jesus do?” Then I always get my answer. It is not hard to get answers from God when you live and dine in His very presence.

Faith with No Doubt

The power of Christ’s resurrection enables you to live by faith. Jesus said, Have faith in God (Mark 11:22). Paul said, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith (Philippians 3:9). You can have righteousness and all you need through faith in God, so never live beneath your privilege. Know what is yours and claim it. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits (Psalm 103:2).

The Bible says you must contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). The devil doesn’t want you to have that faith; so when you contend for it, all hell will come against you. You will have to be ready to fight a war like you have never fought before.

When I decided to go after that faith, I fought devils night and day; but I wouldn’t back down. God used Job to get me through that battle. He said, Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15). Behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high (Job 16:19). And I won just like Job did.

The devil would like to defeat you; but through Christ, you can always be a winner, so don’t ever doubt God. The Bible even says it is a sin to do that. For whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). God can’t help anyone who doubts Him, so there is no need to go to Him when you are full of doubt and won’t use faith. The Lord can only help people with the things and thoughts of God. It has to be His way.

You have to please God to be able to go to Heaven, and you can’t do that without faith. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Doubt brings fear, and fear is destructive. It doesn’t edify or bless you, and it will get you nowhere.

We are end-time people, and we are in all-out war with the devil. If you don’t know what the divine blood can do or how to use it, it is no wonder you doubt; and then you will receive nothing from God. You cannot even get saved if you doubt the blood because only the blood can wash away your sins and give you the very nature of Almighty God.

You must believe in Jesus and His divine blood with no doubt. The Bible says, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:16). The blood Gospel is truth, and those who will not accept the truth will be damned. Then they will find out the consequences of doubting God.

Know Christ

Through resurrection power, you must stay plugged in to the throne of God all the time; and God has provided both Jesus and the Holy Ghost to make intercession for all God’s children. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26,27). Jesus and the Holy Ghost know the will and the mind of God, so they know what to pray for.

It is not enough to know Jesus and facts about Him; you must have a personal relationship with Him, one that never could have been if Jesus had not conquered death, hell and the grave. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:55,57).

Jesus prayed for the disciples saying, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (John 17:3). Do you really know Jesus, the one God sent to make it possible for us to go to Heaven? Do you know the truth about God and the Holy Ghost?

It is God’s will for you to know the Lord like Paul knew Him. Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 9:23,24).

Want More of Jesus

To really get to know Jesus, you must hide away and spend much time with Him. You must have no ego or desire for the riches of this world, only a desire to be rich in God’s love and grace and do all you can to take His Gospel message to everyone who can be reached in this lost world. You may think you don’t have the strength to do that; but the Bible says God will renew your youth. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's (Psalm 103:5).

When you know Christ, you will talk like Him. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

That new man will have eternal life. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (John 10:28). This means that no one can make you fail God but you; however, that verse has been misinterpreted millions of times and caused many souls to go to hell.

So many people believe that once you are in grace you are always in grace no matter what you do, but that is not a teaching of the Word of God. The Bible says, For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10:26).

At one time, Judas had power to heal the sick and cast out devils; and since Jesus said one devil couldn’t cast out another devil, he must have been saved. How can Satan cast out Satan?…if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand (Mark 3:23,24). But then Judas backslid and betrayed Jesus Christ; and soon after, he committed suicide and went to hell.

The Greatness of Christ’s Power

You can have so much through the power of Christ’s resurrection. You can be forgiven of your sins and have power to live free from sin. You can have power to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the fruits of the Spirit, power to be a witness of His resurrection, power to be conformed to His likeness, and power to overcome the devil and his kingdom. You can have the anointing that breaks every bondage and brings miracles and healings.

The Bible says that you can know the exceeding greatness of His power toward you. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his [God’s] calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward (Ephesians 1:18,19). Every child of God has a calling. If you don’t know what yours is, you need to find out.

In those scriptures, Paul was talking to those who believe, according to the working of his [God’s] mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:19,20). One day, the Lord is going to set us up in heavenly places. Until that day, the Bible tells us of heavenly places here on Earth the Lord will put us in through the power of the Holy Ghost and the power in the divine blood. Even when we were dead in sins, [God] hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:5,6).

Christ Brought Life

The power of Christ’s resurrection gives you a lively hope. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (I Peter 1:3). That hope means you can live for trillions of years and never die; and as you journey toward that eternity, the Lord will give you everything you need. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (II Peter 1:3).

Jesus suffered untold agony for us so we wouldn’t have to and so we could have divine power and eternal life. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his [blood] stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:3-5).

Because of all Christ has done and sacrificed, you must worship Him with your whole heart. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23,24). Take note that you must worship God in spirit and in truth, not in a form that comes from habit or tradition.

Be a Witness

God wants the world to know the power of His Son’s resurrection, and He wants those of us who have had a resurrection into the newness of life in Christ to be filled with the power that brought Jesus out of the grave. Then we are to give witness of it. It was Holy Ghost power that brought Jesus out and gave Him life, and you can have that same power.

The disciples knew all about Christ’s resurrection, and they became great witnesses. And with great power [of the Holy Ghost] gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33). There is nothing greater than the grace of God; and in it, you will find everything you need. You must be a witness through that great grace and power or you won’t do the job God wants you to do.

You have to spread the Gospel God’s way, not through self or the opinions of others. Everything must come through the eternal Word. But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (I Peter 1:25).

Only true children of God who have Holy Ghost power can be witnesses of the Resurrection. Study Paul, Stephen, John and Peter and know that you can have the same power today, saith the Lord. Then you must use it as they did.

A Powerful Miracle

Peter and John used Holy Ghost power when they met the lame man at the gate called Beautiful. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour (Acts 3:1). The fact that it was the hour of prayer shows us God had laid the groundwork for that miracle. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:2,3,6-8). That man never again had to sit at that gate and beg.

Peter let the people know that the miracle did not take place through his or John’s power but through Holy Ghost power. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus (Acts 3:11-13).

You can have that power and use it, too, but you must always glorify God. Wherever I go, I always let people know that it is not my power but God’s power that gets them well. I am just a witness to that divine power, and Jesus is the healer.

As the people were rejoicing over the lame man’s miracle, the captain of the temple, the priests and the Sadducees held to their own form of godliness; and they did not like what Peter and John were doing. However, that didn’t stop honest hearts from believing and coming to the Lord. And as they [Peter and John] spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead [which they didn’t believe in]. Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand (Acts 4:1,2,4). We don’t have to worry about unbelievers either. They stink in the nostrils of God, and He can kick them like a football straight into hell.

Those unbelieving rulers asked Peter, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this (Acts 4:7)? That shows they had a spirit of jealousy, but Peter boldly gave God all the glory. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole (Acts 4:8-10). Miracles prove that Christ is the real Savior of the world.

The Truth Brings Results

The power of Christ’s resurrection is His ultimate power that is willed to us; and it is full of divine grace, love, peace, goodness and mercy. That is the Gospel of power that we are taking to the whole world in this our final hour; and untold millions can receive the truth through Ernest Angley World Radio as well as our television programs, website, books and magazines. We are reaching to the ends of the Earth, and we are receiving so many testimonies telling us of what God has done.

The power of His resurrection is delivering people from devil possession, witchcraft, voodoo and all the dark works of the devil. They are being delivered and set free from all kinds of bondages, diseases and afflictions. As people listen to or watch God at work, they are believing and receiving. Devils are going out of people, and they are finding their way to Calvary through the Holy Spirit.

No one can come to Jesus unless they are drawn by the Holy Spirit, and He is drawing people unto Himself. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44). People are letting us know of the great deliverances that are taking place in their homes. Even entire families are being healed of the deadly AIDS virus through the all-powerful blood of Christ.

Through the power of His resurrection, we have the divine blood from Heaven to use; and we are getting great results just as Jesus said we would. These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). We are believers, and nothing can stop us now.

Glorify God

It was resurrection power that raised the physical body of Jesus from the dead; and it was resurrection power that brought 3000 souls into the Kingdom on the Day of Pentecost when Peter, then filled with the Holy Ghost, stood up and gave witness of the resurrected Christ. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls (Acts 2:32,33,41).

Those people not only received the Holy Ghost; they became witnesses of His power and lived in it. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread [in all truth], and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles (Acts 2:42,43).

We are having great miracles today, too, through Christ’s resurrection power. People are filled with holy fear and reverence when they experience the true power of His resurrection, and God wants them to always remain in awe of His mighty power.

The Lord killed people in the Early Church to keep His power moving and to keep His Church pure, and He has told me He will kill again. You can read about the deaths of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11, and you don’t need to be surprised when God starts killing people today who fight His work and His Son. When people fight Jesus, they are fighting Jehovah God; and when they fight God, they are in danger of being thrown into hell fire at any time.

People must see God as the eternal God He is, and they must realize He is not playing church in this last hour. He hates man’s ideas, his forms of godliness, his traditions and the spiritual deadness that is covering the Earth. He truly wants His people to have the power of His Son’s resurrection, and it is amazing how much God is trusting us with all of that power.

People throughout the Bible and to this present day have failed God over and over. Because of that, God has told me that people are His biggest problem; but members of the bridal company will not be a problem to God. We are a different people who are no longer filled with the Adamic nature of the first man but the nature of Jesus Christ.

Be Still in the Anointing

When you have Christ’s divine nature, you are not satisfied with yourself or your own righteousness. Jesus came to lift you and me out of ourselves, to give us power from On High and for His will to be done for us and through us. That is the only way we will make it to Rapture ground, and it is almost time to go home.

Having Christ’s divine nature will help you to forgive. Jesus said, For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). If you don’t forgive people for what they have done to you, the Lord said He wouldn’t forgive you. You cannot have the anointing of God, and the Holy Ghost will not work for you when you won’t forgive others.

God wants us to take on His ways and His thoughts and to think deep. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep (Psalm 92:5). To have those deep thoughts, the Bible says, Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). It also says, Study to be quiet (I Thessalonians 4:11). God will anoint you to be still, and in His anointing is a sober spirit you won’t find anywhere else.

You must have God’s anointing because that is what will break all your yokes of bondage. The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). You must always remember those times when you were so burdened down, and the Lord poured His love into your heart.

The anointing from On High is the power of God, but some people think it is emotionalism. They think shaking and making different motions shows how much divine power they have when it really just shows how little power they have. It is only a show of the flesh, and it turns me off because it is against the Spirit of God.

When the Lord said you must be still, He didn’t mean you can’t be emotional about the things of God; but to receive His anointing, you must get quiet before Him. Then when the anointing manifests itself, it will make you joyful and happy; and that can make you want to shout for joy or cry happy tears of thanksgiving.

The Bible says, The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). He wants us to be happy, and He wants us to make other people happy; and that is possible because spirits are contagious. However, that is why you must not hang around those who have the wrong spirits. If you do, you will begin to take on their thoughts and their ways; and you will be in trouble.

Power for Salvation

The power of Christ’s resurrection is the power to make people new. The Psalmist said, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well (Psalm 139:14). You can’t just say you are wonderfully made; you have to live it, and divine power will certainly help you to do that.

When you have Jesus in your heart, you will never die. Being born new means you take on the heartbeat of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost; and you will live forever as long as you journey with the Lord. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (I Corinthians 15:19-22). All are dead in Adam until they come to life through Christ. Then they will live for eternity with the Lord.

Those who are truly born new are living in Jubilee. In Old Testament days, every fiftieth year was the Year of Jubilee. Slaves were set free, and people had their lands and belongings restored to them. Now through Christ, you can have that Jubilee liberty every day. You don’t have to wait fifty years to be blessed and set free.

Sinner and Backslider, you may think you are free; but you are not. You are a slave to the devil, and that is why Jesus is reaching out His nail-riven hands to save you and lift you out of all your sin. God will wonderfully make you if you accept His promise of salvation today. Jesus died for all, and He will not cast you away if you will only believe and accept His forgiveness.

Pray this prayer with me now: Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry I have sinned against you, but I have come home; and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe that Jesus died for me and that His blood washes away all my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant and believed that prayer, Jesus is yours. Start praying and reading your Bible, and doing some Bible fasting will help you, too.

Power to Be Healed

Do you need healing? The Lord has healed so many thousands through this Jesus ministry that there is no way to number them. All kinds of miracles and healings are taking place now all over the world. It is amazing what God is doing in this final hour before Jesus comes.

Lord, I bring the sick and the afflicted to you—cancer victims, heart patients, diabetics, invalids and those with AIDS. I bring little children who are sick, afflicted and deformed. Some of them are deaf or blind, but it is just a small thing for you to give them hearing and sight or to give them a normal brain. As a servant of the living God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I come with your promises, your love, your faith and your authority. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus, I pray. Heal!

The healing power of the Lord is now flowing to you, so don’t limit Him. The Bible says, He [God] sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). With God, all things are possible if you will only believe what He has said and let Him move for you. What God has done in the past, He is still doing today. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Thus Saith the Lord

I have called you unto myself. I have called you in all love, all faith and all grace. I will never fail you, and you must never fail me. I will walk with you and dine with you, and you will be fed with manna from On High. Never give up in despair. I am with you, saith the Lord.
