Laws are a set of rules designed to regulate the actions of others, and they are normally enforced by imposing penalties on those who disobey. Man never would have needed laws if he had remained in the perfect state God created him in; but after Adam sinned, God had to give the Old Testament Law. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12). What a tragedy!

God never planned for man to die or even cry any tears. Adam and Eve were created so they would never have to use a restroom, but they sold us into sin. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because they failed, all people are born in sin; but that doesn’t mean they have to stay in sin because Jesus brought the remedy for it.

The Mosaic Law was the first set of commandments given to man, and it was written by the finger of God Himself. And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them [the Israelites] (Exodus 24:12). And he [God] gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God (Exodus 31:18).

That Law was not a law of liberty but of bondage. It was a spiritual Law; and because man was carnal, he could not live up to God’s righteous demands. Paul said, For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I (Romans 7:14,15). Some people use these scriptures to declare that no one can live free from sin, but that is not so; and those who say that will have to change, or they will die and go to hell.

Children of God Do Not Sin

Jesus brought redemption from all sin. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7). You have to have faith in the blood of Jesus and in the grace of God, the ultimate favor of God Almighty.

Why would Jesus have come and willingly suffered and died for us if we could not live free from sin? Jesus said, For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28). That sacrifice was in vain for the many people who still live in sin.

When you are saved, you are born new into God’s image and take on His divine nature. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). That divine nature enables you to live free from sin. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3).

The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). But in the Garden, the devil told Eve that she would not die if she ate of the fruit God told them not to. That was the lie that wrecked the whole world because Eve listened to the serpent and ate of the forbidden fruit. Then she convinced Adam to eat. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:6).

After they sinned, they did die just as God said they would, not a physical death but a spiritual death. Those who sin today will live an eternal death in hell if they don’t repent. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched (Mark 9:44).

The Law Failed

The Law let man know what God expected of him, but it could not justify him; and that is why Jesus had to come. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (Galatians 2:16).

Before Jesus came, there was a spiritual veil over the Word of God just as there was a physical veil of separation in the temple. But when Jesus died, the Bible tells us that the veil in God’s temple was rent from top to bottom. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (Mark 15:37,38).

Why was that veil rent from top to bottom?—because it signified that God had come down and done it. If man had done it, it would have been rent from bottom to top. When that physical veil was rent, it signified that the spiritual veil was lifted, too. The types and shadows in the Bible became reality to those who wanted it.

Under the Law, there was a day of forgiveness once a year during which the high priest would go beyond the physical curtain into the holy of holies to make sacrifice and atonement unto God for the people. The high priest was the only one permitted to go into the holy of holies; the people could not get in to God. There was a curtain between them and Almighty God until Jesus came. Then His great sacrifice broke down that veil of partition and made it possible for us to have nothing between us and Almighty God.

For if that first covenant [the Law] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second [Christ’s law of liberty]. For finding fault with them [the Israelites], he [God] saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people (Hebrews 8:7-10). God was able to do that through Jesus Christ.

The Lord loved the Israelites, and He did so much for them even though they continuously disobeyed Him. Then after Jesus came, He reached out for the Gentiles also; and we were adopted into the family of God. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God (I John 3:1). Divine love took Jesus to Calvary and kept us before Him all the way, and His great sacrifice made it possible for all Gentiles to have the same love from God that He has for the Jewish people.

Jesus came and met the righteous demand of the Law, the law of command. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets [what they wrote]: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (Matthew 5:17).

Divine Love Made the Difference

Jesus condemned sin in the flesh when He brought the perfect law of liberty—the law of love—and love never fails. Jesus said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind (Matthew 22:37). Jesus made that possible. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:38-40).

Your neighbor is not necessarily somebody who lives next door to you; it could be someone from another nation. Your neighbor is anyone who is living free from all sin, and you must love all of God’s people if you want to go to Heaven. The Lord doesn’t classify any person as a neighbor who has even one speck of sin in his heart.

The Bible talks about loving your neighbor on several occasions—that is how important it is to Heaven. For all the law is fulfilled in one word [love], even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself (Galatians 5:14). That divine love was missing under the Mosaic Law. For the [Mosaic] law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God (Hebrews 7:19). That better hope was Christ’s law of liberty.

The Bible also speaks more than once about love being the fulfillment of the Law. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10). You must not mistreat a child of God because that is like mistreating God Himself.

Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law [of liberty] (Romans 13:8). Some people misinterpret this verse and claim it is talking about money, but that is not so. It means you are not to owe any person anything regarding love. You must have plenty of love to show and to serve to anybody who wants it or needs it. Without that love, you will gossip, sow discord and never see Heaven.

What Love Will Do

God is a God of love, and He never runs short of divine love for people. God loved the man and woman He created so much that He would go down to Eden in the cool of the day to walk and talk with them. That great love then brought grace and truth to us. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). The world had never seen love like Jesus brought since Eden.

Because of Jesus, now abideth [divine] faith, [divine] hope, [divine] charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity [love] (I Corinthians 13:13). Through Jesus’ shed blood, we have plenty of love today. There are oceans of it to draw from, and they will never run dry. Love is the answer for everything today. Let all your things be done with charity (I Corinthians 16:14).

Divine love invites us to bring our burdens to the Lord. He will take them and give us rest so we can carry the burden for lost souls. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). When I was saved, the Lord rolled away my heavy burden of sin and immediately rolled a mountain of a burden on me for lost humanity; and I have carried it for many years. We must win all of the souls God has marked for us to win. You may meet a soul marked for you just one time, so you have to be ready or you will miss that soul.

Many millions of people have found help through this Jesus ministry because the truth is preached in great love, and we are ready to help them. If people will accept the truth, they can receive all the wonderful blessings from the Lord they need.

Nobody has ever loved people like Jesus loves them, and nobody has ever cared for them like He cares; and we must plant that in the heart of every person who will listen. Thus saith the Lord, the perfect love of liberty will do it. Nothing will ever measure up to that liberty of love.

Divine Love Brings Faith

You must seek to go into the depths of God’s love, and then you can go into the depths of His faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love (Galatians 5:6). You have to recognize how closely intertwined faith and love are and realize that you must have God’s love to have God’s faith.

You will never go any deeper in divine faith than you go in divine love, and that love is so deep that it can never be measured. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).

If you have only surface love, you will have only surface faith; and that kind of faith will not please God. But without [divine] faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Only in the deepness of faith can we please God; but without having reality in the perfect law of liberty, you will never find that deep love or deep faith. You will only scratch the surface, and you will never be a Jesus overcomer or receive what God has for you.

Through the grace of God, Jesus made it possible for us to go down into the depths of the love and faith of God, wanting only His divine will and leaving all doubt behind. Faith and love make it possible for us to trust Jesus completely when He said, Nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). If you wrestle with that promise, you have not gone deep enough into divine love and faith. Jesus also said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove (Matthew 17:20). That is great faith!

Jesus Brought a New Way

But before faith came, we were kept under the [Mosaic] law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed (Galatians 3:23). When faith stepped in, it brought us to God and into the reality of divinity. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith (Galatians 3:24).

The disciples had to be taught by Jesus. They were used to living under the Law, and they had to learn about grace. Some people think you grow into grace, but that is not so. The divine blood brings you into God’s grace, and then you grow after you are in that grace.

After Jesus had been crucified, He took the blood He had spilled on Calvary to Heaven and put it on the altar before God Almighty. Then He came back to Earth for forty days to teach the disciples about the Holy Ghost. Until the day in which he [Jesus] was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God (Acts 1:2,3).

During that time, Jesus commanded the disciples to receive the Holy Ghost. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). When Jesus went back to Heaven, the Holy Ghost became the disciples’ teacher in Jesus’ place.

You too must receive the Holy Ghost baptism if you want to be in the Rapture, the one flight out. If you are saved, you will go to Heaven when you die; but you will not go when Jesus comes for His Bride without the Holy Ghost. Thus saith the Lord, it is going to take more power to go the way of the Rapture than it will to go the way of the grave. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). The power that works within is the power of the Holy Ghost.

Freedom through Christ

Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised [hurt in any way] (Luke 4:18). Oh, how the world needs Jesus. The Bible says, The common [poor] people heard him [Jesus] gladly (Mark 12:37).

Today, there are so many people in the captivity of devil bondage, and even their very souls are inhabited with devils; but Jesus came to set people free from all of that. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [freedom] (II Corinthians 3:17).

The Old Testament Law was weak, but the law of liberty makes us able ministers of the New Testament; and it makes it possible for God’s divine will to be done in us and through us by the Holy Spirit. Who [Jesus] also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life (II Corinthians 3:6).

We can now go beyond the letter and the bondage of the Law and serve life to others through the divine blood and the Holy Spirit because the perfect law of liberty brings a better deliverance. By so much [in so many ways] was Jesus made a surety of a better testament (Hebrews 7:22).

The devil does not want people to have divine liberty, so he will use whatever and whomever he can to bring God’s children into bondage. And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage (Galatians 2:4).

The devil makes people think that getting their own way is liberty, but it is only liberty for a short season. Consider a person who thinks he is free to eat whatever and as much as he wants. That may be okay for a season, but it will lead to a life of great bondage when his health begins to deteriorate.

A Spirit of Liberty

Jesus made it possible for us to have a new spirit put within us, and God used Ezekiel to prophecy about it. And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God (Ezekiel 11:19,20). That new spirit is a divine spirit, not a human spirit. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (John 3:6).

Keep the perfect law of liberty always before you; and you will have that new spirit as well as liberty for soul, mind and body. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25). The Holy Ghost will teach you, and the Lord will help you to look into the love law the right way; and then you have to continue in it.

There are many laws being put forth in nations today in the name of liberty while the very people making those laws are full of deceit and corruption. If you don’t keep that in mind, you will miss being what you should be for the Lord. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage (II Peter 2:19).

Many worldly leaders today are making God’s law of liberty look wrong and making evil laws look right. They promote lifestyles that are a disgrace to God and then make laws supporting them that promise liberty, but there is no real liberty outside of divine truth. Those who condone same-sex marriage will go to hell for it. God made Adam; and when He saw that he was lonely, God decided to make him a helpmate, a woman. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him (Genesis 2:18).

No worldly law will ever bring the liberty that Christ’s law of love brings. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed [absolutely free] (John 8:36). Divine love brought that freedom, and it is a glorious life.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty where-with Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage [sin] (Galatians 5:1). Heaven is home for righteous people only, so never become entangled with the yoke of sin again.

The Value of the Word

God’s Word reveals the truth about the perfect liberty that Jesus brought for soul, mind and body. Study the Word and let it bring liberty to you. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You can’t read the Bible like a magazine or a newspaper; you have to study it and let the Holy Spirit give you understanding of it.

You will find types and shadows of divinity in the Old Testament; but through the law of liberty, those things become living reality in the New Testament. The New Testament is the revelation of the Old Testament, and in the New Testament is where it talks of being born again. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever…And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (I Peter 1:23,25).

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is pure truth, and we must take it to the whole world in this last hour so all can hear about the perfect law of liberty. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). When you love God, you love His Word; and through that love, you will believe it and have faith in it. Then you must act on it. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22).

Paul knew the value of the Word; and he told Timothy, But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them [Make sure of who the teacher is.]; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 3:14,15).

The Bible is the infallible Word of God. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:16,17). God never would have said we could be perfect if we couldn’t be. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Some people say that the Word of God is not infallible, but all scripture came from the breath of God; and not one word He has ever spoken will fail. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33).

You can trust the Word of the living God, and it includes all the promises we are to live by. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (II Corinthians 7:1).

You can leave all the world behind when you hide the Word in your heart. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).

Let Jesus Lift You Up

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple (Psalm 19:7). Some people think they know so much, but they don’t without first knowing the law of God’s love. It can make even the simplest person wise because it enlightens them. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes (Psalm 19:8).

The perfect law of liberty gives you good thoughts. The Bible says, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). You can think good thoughts if you want to, and there are many of them. Think about your blessings, about what you are doing for the Lord and about getting this Gospel to the world.

Use those wonderful thoughts; walk in the Holy Spirit and enjoy the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1). Why is there no condemnation?—because once you are saved and sanctified, it is no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave and brought complete liberty for all who will accept Him; and He proved it when He walked out of the tomb. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:54,55)?

Thank God for the truth and that you can be free today because Jesus is coming only for those who are free and watching for Him to come. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come (Matthew 24:42). And when He does come, we will be changed in a moment. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).

Jesus Was the Word

The perfect law of liberty will do you no good unless you accept it and take heed to Christ’s words. That is why God sent Jesus into the world as the Word made flesh. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Jesus, the living Word, brought health for soul, mind and body. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions [from all sin] (Psalm 107:20).

Jesus knew He was the Son of God, and He knew the value of His words even though others did not. He knew His words were truth, spirit and life and that His words would set men and women free. He knew He told of things to come and that His words revealed the will of the Father.

Jesus knew His words would heal, give hope and bring faith; and they still do. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Jesus came to destroy every work of the devil. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). Jesus performed miracles, raised the dead, cast out devils and so much more!

The Disciples Would Not Listen

The disciples were amazed at all the wonderful things Jesus did through His Word when He walked among men, and they never dreamed that their powerful, healing Christ would be crucified even though Jesus had told them about it. They saw Him as the One who was going to redeem Israel, and they thought He would have to remain on Earth to do that.

One day after Jesus had performed a mighty miracle, the disciples were in wonder about Him; and as they were, Jesus broke into their thoughts to begin telling them of what was to come. And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, Let these sayings [of mine] sink down into your ears [your heart]: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men (Luke 9:43,44).

Jesus wanted His disciples to really hear what He was telling them and to take heed to His words because they were things they needed to know. That still holds true for us today, and we can only learn what we need to know by letting the Lord’s words sink deep into our hearts.

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day (Matthew 16:21). We have record of Jesus telling the disciples of His death and resurrection on several occasions, but they wouldn’t believe it or accept it.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them [the disciples], The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry (Matthew 17:22,23). And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again (Matthew 20:17-19).

Jesus didn’t just say He would rise again; He told His disciples when He would rise because He wanted them to be there on the third day when He walked out of the tomb. But I say again that they didn’t believe or accept what He said, and we have no record of even one of the disciples being at the tomb on Resurrection Day.

The Disciples Failed Jesus

The disciples did not let Jesus’ words sink deep; and because they didn’t, despondency took them over after Jesus was crucified. Instead of being at the tomb on the third day to see Jesus rise again, they hid themselves away, grieving and fearful of all that had happened.

It is so sad that the disciples were not watching the tomb that day. How could they ever forgive themselves for missing such a miraculous thing? People are missing the glory of the Lord today, too. Many of them go to spiritually dead churches where there are no miracles.

Even though the disciples were not at the tomb on Resurrection Day, other people were. Pilate, the chief priests and the Pharisees set up a watch at the tomb. They had heard Jesus’ words just as the disciples had, but they also acted on them. Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch (Matthew 27:62-66).

Soldiers were watching over the tomb; and when Jesus walked out, it scared them half to death. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men (Matthew 28:2-4).

Unbelief Causes Missed Blessings

Even some of the women who followed Jesus and had heard His words allowed them to slip from their memory. When they arrived at the tomb to anoint Jesus’ body and saw the tomb was empty, they were perplexed. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men [angels] stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest (Luke 24:4-9).

When the women finally remembered Jesus’ words, their spirits were revived; and they ran to tell those who were hiding away. But did the disciples remember what Jesus had told them? No. And their [the women’s] words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not (Luke 24:11).

Peter then went to the sepulcher himself; but still, the words of Jesus did not rise up in his heart. Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass (Luke 24:12).

When you don’t let the words of Jesus sink deep in your heart, you too will wonder within yourself and in your own human thoughts; and our thoughts are not God’s thoughts. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8,9). You can never rejoice in the perfect law of liberty in your own thoughts.

Always Recognize Jesus

Consider the two men who were so discouraged as they journeyed to Emmaus after Jesus’ death. Jesus had already been resurrected, and He joined them as they walked along; but they didn’t know it was Him. And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days (Luke 24:18)? Just think, those men were talking to Jesus Himself; but they thought He was a stranger because they didn’t believe He had risen. Even today, Jesus is a stranger to anyone who won’t believe what He has said.

The men began talking about the awful things that had happened and how their hopes about Jesus had been dashed. Jesus let the two men talk for a while, and then He began to speak the Word to them. Then he [Jesus] said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he [Jesus] expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself (Luke 24:25-27).

The words of Jesus started to bring life to them; and then finally, they knew Him. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures (Luke 24:31,32)? The Lord walks with us today, too, and He will open up the scriptures through the Holy Ghost living in us if we will allow Him to.

After the two men realized they had been with Jesus, they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon (Luke 24:33,34).

After all that Jesus had done to warn and prepare the disciples for what was to happen to Him, not until after He had risen from the dead did they remember His words. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said (John 2:22).

Jesus Will Come

Jesus had not only told the disciples about His death and resurrection but also that He would come again, yet they didn’t listen. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2,3).

Before Pentecost, the disciples were not living in the perfect law of liberty; and they suffered many needless things because they didn’t let Jesus’ words sink deep. You must not let that happen to you. If you don’t believe that Jesus is coming soon, you will be left in the Tribulation Period along with all the other scoffers who say, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation (II Peter 3:4).

People have been told again and again about the coming of the Lord, and whether they believe it or not is up to them. The Bible tells us the signs to look for, and we can now see those signs all around us; but people still won’t take heed.

People have been so disappointing to God. He told me one time that people were His greatest disappointment. He also told me that Jesus would have already come if people had been faithful enough to get the Gospel to the world, but they have not been. All people must have a chance to hear the Gospel before Jesus comes. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14).

Let the Word Speak to You

The perfect law of liberty is revealed through the Word of the Almighty God. Is it your anchor during the storms, or do the storms speak louder than the Word? Does sickness, the loss of a loved one or temptation cause you to forget what God has said in His Word? The Bible says, Let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:4). Nothing should cause you to forget what the Bible says.

The Word must have a louder voice in your heart and in your mind than anyone or anything else; and when it does, you will go into the deep love, the deep faith, the deep grace and the deep peace of God. You will have Heaven’s deep joy, and it will give you the strength you need. For the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

When your world is turned upside down, the Word must be deep within you speaking peace to your soul. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word (Psalm 119:25). The Lord quickens children of God to let us know that He is with us and to remind us that the Holy Ghost lives inside us to teach us. Jesus said, I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).

The Word strengthens us. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word (Psalm 119:28). Notice it says according to God’s Word and not according to the words of people. You can trust God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost; they will never betray you like people will.

When you believe the Word, you don’t have to worry about not having strength because you can always get it through the Word. That is why you must not only read the Word; you must eat the Word and digest it. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart (Jeremiah 15:16).

Understand the Word

If you don’t understand some of the words of the Lord, do you let the devil wipe them out of your mind? When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart (Matthew 13:19). This can happen in those who have a lack of prayer and quiet time with the Lord in their lives. You must be wide awake in the Spirit all the time and always watching for Jesus to come.

You may be like a person Jesus described—one who has enough understanding of the Word to make you excited about it but not enough to allow it to take root in your heart. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended (Matthew 13:20,21).

Many people get offended by the Word, and that is dangerous because then they go out and talk against the truth and sin against God. When they go as far as to talk against the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth, that is blasphemy. Jesus said, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:31,32).

Why can they never be forgiven?—because no one can come to the Lord unless they are drawn by the Spirit. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him (John 6:44).

Those who blaspheme can never get right with God. The Bible says, For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (II Thessalonians 2:11,12).

God made the scriptures so plain that even children can understand them, and you must hunger and thirst for that understanding so you can bear fruit for the Kingdom. Jesus said, But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty (Matthew 13:23).

Human reasoning alone can’t understand what the Word says because it is spiritually discerned But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (I Corinthians 2:14).

Whatever God says will come to pass. For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass (Ezekiel 12:25). Jesus said, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35). God’s Word is stronger than Heaven and Earth, and it will never pass away.

Do You Hear the Lord?

In good times and bad times, let the words of the Lord sink deep into your heart so the love law of Jesus can become living reality to you. Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth (Psalm 78:1). You have to keep your ears cleaned out through the Holy Spirit so you can hear what God is saying. The Spirit will bring to your mind the things that Jesus said when you yield to Him.

The Bible says, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). The Lord wants you to reason with Him through the Word; and to do that, you have to spend time with Him and really hear what He is telling you. Jesus said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear (Luke 8:8).

If you are not hearing what the Lord is saying and you really want to, ask Him to take away your deafness; but Jesus said some people were deaf because they didn’t want to hear and blind because they didn’t want to see, and that is sad. For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them (Matthew 13:15).

The Bride of Christ will hear what the Lord is saying; and in the Song of Solomon, we hear the Bride of Christ saying, Draw me, we will run after thee (Song of Solomon 1:4). Only perfect love will run after Jesus, the light of the world. I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).

Christ’s light is so great that you can’t even begin to describe how wonderful it is. It has come upon the Word of God; and now, everything is uncovered for us. When you study the Word the right way, that light will come upon the scriptures; and they will leap to life. Thus saith the Lord, that light of love is the greatest light that God has. He loves each one of us today with an unending love.

Look to the Holy Spirit

To have the reality of Jesus’ love law, you have to let the Holy Spirit feed you daily; but He can’t do that unless you are hungry for the things of God and have a spiritual appetite. You can put earthly things into your stomach that will satisfy it, but earthly things will not satisfy the soul. There is no limit to what the soul can hold because it came from God, and it is like God; but it is only satisfied with spiritual things.

Your mind, on the other hand, is like a cup. It can only hold a limited amount, so you have to be careful what you put into it. You may want peace, joy and contentment in the Holy Ghost, but your mind can hold only so much of those things at a time; so you have to depend on what is in your soul. The Holy Ghost can only feed your mind the things that are in your soul.

The Lord spreads a table for His children every day; and Jesus is saying, Come and dine (John 21:12). That table has everything on it that Jesus used when He was on Earth as well as all the things we need to guide us and help us, but the Holy Ghost is the one who has to serve you; so you must have Him. He is the one who will keep you alive and watching for the coming of the Lord, the one who will help you keep up with your prayer life like you should and give you the patience you must have.

The Holy Spirit is a person, and He must be real to you. Jesus spoke of the Holy Ghost using a personal pronoun. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13). You have to believe He is a person and that He is in you and teaching you for you to be able to live in complete reality with Him.

The Holy Spirit is preparing the Bride to meet Jesus in the air. Who is she [the Bride] that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (Song of Solomon 6:10)? The Lord is depending on the Bride to finish the work He has called her to do, and she must depend on Him to help her do that. Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved (Song of Solomon 8:5)?

Use the Blood

Jesus brought divine blood to redeem us from sin. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (I Peter 1:18,19). Through that blood, we are to be blood children of God—people who don’t just think about being like Jesus but ones who actually walk and talk like Him.

We can have the Lord’s divine nature, and sin will have no more dominion over us. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14). The blood conquers everything!

Sinner, Backslider, you can’t be saved without the divine blood. Without [the] shedding of blood [there] is no remission (Hebrews 9:22). You can receive no forgiveness for your sins without it. Tell the Lord that you know you are not right with Him, and He will forgive you. His mercy and the blood will flow, and your soul will be cleansed by the Holy Ghost Himself.

Say this prayer: Oh, God, I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, that He died and was resurrected for me. I know He shed His divine blood so I could be free, and I put my faith in that blood. I believe His blood washes away all my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come; and He is yours. Start reading your Bible and praying, and doing some Bible fasting will help you, too.

Now, you must go on to get the Holy Ghost, or you will not be ready to go when Jesus comes. Start saying the word “glory, glory, glory.” That is a word of praise to the Lord, and don’t stop praising Him until the Holy Ghost comes in and takes over your tongue.

There are those who speak in tongues at will, but you cannot do that. God told me Himself that when a person speaks in tongues at will, that is the flesh; and if they keep doing it, a devil will take over and speak. The Holy Ghost must be the one doing the speaking just as He did on the Day of Pentecost. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

Perfect Liberty Includes Miracles

If you need healing for yourself or your child, I am going to agree with you for your miracle. The Bible says, If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19). I am one, and you are two.

You may have AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble or another disease for which there is no cure through medical science; but you can have the cure through our Lord. His miracle power works, but you must serve Him and give Him all the glory. His promises are conditional. You must be prayed up, yielded to the Lord and want His will for your life if you expect to touch Heaven.

I am not the healer; Jesus is the healer. I am just His believer, and I am agreeing with you. If you believe the Word I have been teaching you, it shall be done. Lord, deliver the people from AIDS, cancer, heart trouble, TB, leprosy, paralysis, blindness, deafness and all kinds of terrible diseases that are destroying their bodies. I curse those diseases in the holy name of the Lord. Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Heal! I pray. Amen and amen.

Now, watch yourself get well, and watch your child get well. Always live for the Lord and raise your children to love Jesus. Jesus must have all the honor, the praise and the glory for everything He does.

Live in the perfect law of liberty every day and know what God’s Word says. Recognize His promises and recognize His message, not man’s but His. Let His promises become living reality to you all the time, and He will lift you into heavenly places to show you His greatness again and again. He will serve you well so you can serve Him well by bringing in the lost before it is too late. The God who made you is reaching for you in love, and He loves you with an unending love.
