The Miracle God at Work
by Ernest Angley
March 2003
I love to go to the Word of God and find Him at work. Do you study God? I study God; I study His moves in the Holy Scriptures. Learn from the Word of God what you can expect Him to do for you with His mighty working hands today. Go into the Old Testament and see God walking, talking and dealing with mankind. Take many trips there; often go to the Garden of Eden and read of God’s great work. Those hands that brought miracles in Bible days are for you today. God hasn’t changed; the Bible says, I am the LORD, I change not (Malachi 3:6). It’s people who change, not God. The Holy Scriptures tell you how God talks, how He walks, how He believes, what He will do and what He won’t do.
We find God saying in Jeremiah 32:27, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? This is one of my favorite scriptures. See God standing up, His shadow covering the whole earth as He is saying to the inhabitants of the earth: Behold, look upon me. I am the Lord, the God of all flesh! There is nothing too hard for me.
Do you know of one thing that is too hard for God? No? Then your case is not too hard. But if you can find one thing you think is too hard for God, it can make you doubt what He will do for you. It’s when you declare there is nothing too hard for the Lord that you wake up to living reality and place your case in His hands knowing He will take care of it.
Put yourself into God’s hands today for the miracle or healing you need. No matter whether it is cancer, heart trouble, blindness, AIDS, deafness, crippled limbs, put your problem into His hands, know He indeed is Lord God Almighty, the great I-Am for all time and eternity. Without a doubt know that God is more than able to take care of your case; know He will do it because He loves you and you love Him. Be a witness to His saving and healing power; give Him all the honor, all the praise and all the glory. It’s wonderful to be a real believer. Oh praise the Lord forever!
God Is Creator
Genesis opens with God creating the heaven and the earth. God did it completely without the help of man—which shows how insignificant man is. The Creation is such a mighty statement that it should make everyone know he or she is nothing without this great and mighty God. At night look up as far as you can see; God placed the stars in the sky. All these thousands of years that man has been on Earth he’s never been able to hang one star up there, yet people will dare discredit the power of God. The devil has deceived them. God ignores them, pays them no mind; and although He gives them an opportunity to repent, God marks every word people say against His power, against His miracles, against His mighty works. It’s a dangerous thing to talk against the works of God. You can seal your destiny, your doom; many people are doing just that in this last and final hour. You can’t spit in the eye of God and get by with it.
Genesis 1:16,17, And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. In school we studied about Edison and the electric light bulb, but when you compare his invention to the sun, moon and the stars, it’s absolutely nothing. The works of God are far beyond what man can do. God shows His mighty greatness, His ultimate power so you can believe Him for anything, everything and all things.
God Can Do All Things
God wants to be believed; He makes staggering promises and stands by every one of them. Behold, look upon me, He is saying. I am God and there’s none other! And as we look upon Him, we declare: You are God; we have no doubt. You are the Lord God Almighty who created the heavens and the earth. Without you nothing was made. Glory be to God forever!
God brought forth the fish in the waters, the birds to fly in the air and all the green grass. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:11,20,21).
Do you find man being able to do all those things? No, he can’t even make one little sparrow, not one. See how helpless man is? It takes the deceit of the devil to make man think he is mighty and God is nothing. God is everything to sensible people, to intelligent people, to people who have true wisdom and knowledge. There’s nothing God can’t do, nothing that He won’t do for His people; He proved it when He gave Jesus.
God Is on His Throne
It’s time to give God all the praise, honor and glory—my God and your God. God is on the throne right now for you, showing that He has all power for you to use over the devil. He sent that power through His Son Jesus Christ.
When things are going badly, know that because God is on the throne, everything will be all right. We should shout and sing and let the world know—God is on the throne! That’s the reason we can declare that signs, wonders, miracles, healings and the greatness of the Lord are in abundance in this final hour. Our God, my God, your God is on the throne. Isn’t that beautiful!
Out of the Dust God Made Man
This is the same God who made the first man. No one else has been able to make one. Isn’t it strange that people can imagine that they, not God, are the mighty one? God made Adam out of the dust of the earth—what a weak substance. If man were to try to make a man, he’d make him out of steel or something else, he’d try to clone him, but he’d never try to make him out of dirt. Look at the greatness of God.
If you think God is anything like a man, go to the Garden of Eden. After God formed a body from the ground and with the ground, then He breathed on man and that body became a living soul. God gave a part of Himself so that the form of clay would come to life, would have the life of God in it. Man had so much of the life of God in him that he would have lived forever and never been sick had he not given over to sin.
Sin is to blame for death, not God. Had sin not entered Eden, Adam and Eve would have stayed strong, never been weak, never been sick; they would be just as young today as they were when the Lord first made them. All their children would have been healthy and remained young; but sin brought death!
A Mansion Awaits
Heaven—it’s a land where you’ll never grow old, never be sick, never know death; it’s the Heaven the miraculous God made for us. In it He’s building a mansion for you—be excited over it! If someone built you a hundred million dollar home here on Earth, you’d get excited over it, wouldn’t you? Well, your mansion in Heaven is going to be worth more than a hundred million.
Do you think so? I know so because it’s made by the hand of God. You mean so much to God that He gave Jesus for you; why would you think He would put you in a shanty in Heaven?
Someone wrote a song, “Lord, Build Me A Cabin In The Corner Of Glory Land.” I’m not singing, “Lord, Build Me a Cabin”; I don’t want a cabin. Jesus didn’t mention a cabin; He said, In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you (John 14:2). Look for a mansion. Why settle for anything less than what He promised? Why try to talk God out of your mansion? People think settling for a cabin in Glory is humility, but that’s not God’s humility. Man’s humility is a disgrace to God many times. God’s humility believes God for everything He promised. A new creation in Christ—I-Am made you that way. I-Am made you pure, clean and holy. I-Am’s grace made it possible for you to be living and walking in the grace of the living Christ.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that you can live in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, free from every sin, all sin, and be just like Jesus! You walk down the street like Jesus walked. When you talk to people, you talk like Jesus. You think like Jesus, you rejoice like Jesus, you sing like Jesus, you praise God like Jesus. Glory be to God! You’re in His steps; every step, every footprint fits your foot just as every holy hand fits in the nail-riven hand.
The Spirit Moved on the Face of the Waters
The Bible tells us that the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2). When the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the waters, miracles took place. Land began to appear, gorgeous land, beautiful land, a paradise. The Earth was wonderful when God got through with it. What made it that way? The Spirit of God.
If the Spirit of God can move upon a body of water and bring about beauty, imagine what the Spirit of God will do from the gift of miracles in this final hour! Moving upon the face of the earth for the lost, God is pouring out His Spirit.
Just as the Lord can take an ugly land and make it a beautiful paradise, He can take ugly people and make them beautiful. When you were born again, He made something beautiful out of you, didn’t He? You looked at your wretched life like I looked at mine, and we never thought it could be so changed. No, I thought God could make my mother beautiful because she had so much love, but I didn’t dream He could make me like that. Then I found the hands of God could perform the same kind of work on me because He works with the same kind of love.
Yield to the Drawing of the Spirit
Miracles change lives, change people; yet some people don’t believe God to be miraculous. They have their own “do-it-yourself kit” to fix themselves up for Heaven. They’ve signed a card, joined the church, been baptized in water, shook the preacher’s hand; unfortunately they didn’t let the Spirit of the Lord move upon them to make them brand-new, and so there’s no Heaven for them to go to. People must yield to the move of the Spirit.
Jesus tells us that no man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44). You can’t find God by your own efforts; you have to be drawn by the Spirit, and through the Holy Spirit you’re convicted of your sins. The Spirit shows the path to Calvary; if you yield to His Spirit, He will show you the way He uses the blood to cleanse you of your sins.
Through the Word you’re born new, and then the Holy Spirit uses the blood to seal your soul for all time and eternity. No one can break that seal; every devil on planet Earth and under the earth could try to break that seal and not one of them, including Lucifer, would be able to break it. That blood seal can be broken only by you, and to do it you have to willfully sin against God.
Live by Faith
You don’t need to worry about backsliding or losing your salvation: The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). People who live by feelings may wake up some morning, feel around for their salvation and think it’s gone. It happened to me. For about six weeks after I was saved, it was like I was in a trance. The Lord had caught me up, and nothing else mattered. I didn’t care whether or not anyone spoke to me; I just wanted to be with the Lord, in His presence, to love Him and have Him love me. But then I woke up one morning and, behold, while I had slept my salvation left me—as far as feelings went. I’d been feeling it, been rejoicing in it and when I no longer felt my salvation it terrified me. I thought, My God, what has happened! My salvation left me while I slept. It’s all gone; I don’t feel any of it! The Lord let me go in that horror from about 5:30 a.m. until 10:00 that morning. What long hours! What had happened to me! But finally it was like the Lord poured a big tub of honey over me. I felt my salvation suddenly jump up and down inside of me. My soul shouted Hallelujah! and my feet were ready to dance for joy. My salvation hadn’t left me after all.
That taught me one great lesson: Don’t go by feelings. The just shall live by faith. Use faith, faith in the Word, faith in God, this great, miraculous God that I’m talking about.
Faith Is a Gift
Faith is a gift. God gives you faith to believe Him, to believe for all you need. Did you think you worked faith down, worked it up, sweated it out or whatever? No, faith is a gift: God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). When you use that measure of faith, God will give you another measure. You don’t have to worry about faith; faith cometh by hearing the Word of God. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Anytime you need more faith just start reading the Word of God, and you’ll get more faith; the Bible says so. You’ll find God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit on each page throughout the whole Word of God; it wouldn’t be the Word without the Godhead.
God Watered the Earth
In the beginning the watering of the earth was different than it is now. The LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground (Genesis 2:5,6). The Lord didn’t need the rain to come from above, it came from below. Wasn’t that some water system? Now a company will come out to set up an underground system to water your lawn, and they think it’s a great accomplishment—just your little yard. Not until they can water the whole earth without any rain have they done something great.
Man Had God’s Fellowship
Man had fellowship with God. The honor this great God puts on man is incredible. You have to diligently use His faith, love and Word to make it believable to your spirit. To have fellowship with the great, mighty I-Am who spoke the universe into existence is amazing. Job said, He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them (Job 26:7,8). That’s God.
God came down to walk and talk with the man and woman He made out of dirt, but a part of God was inside that man and that woman. A part of God looked out of those eyes, and listened with those ears. A part of God worked in that brain with His wisdom and His knowledge. The Lord could reason with man and woman. How God honored them! But paradise here on Earth was lost when they sold out to the devil. Did the miraculous God give up on man? Thank God, no!
Every Promise of God Is in Grace
God was going to destroy everyone in Noah’s day; however, the Bible tells us that Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:8). Getting ready for this message I pondered the word grace. Grace is worth more than all the silver and gold, more than all the possessions on planet Earth. The people in Noah’s day didn’t consider the word grace; they wanted no part of it. However, they would have been glad to have had grace when they knew they were going to drown, going to be destroyed. Seeing the ark door closed and the flood coming, they changed their tune, but it was too late. So it is with people today: The grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is sufficient, but many people want no part of it.
Today is the day of salvation. People who don’t want grace will find that when destruction comes on tomorrow the word grace will not help them at all. Today is the day for you to come home Sinner, Backslider; today is the day for you to return. You have no promise of tomorrow; there may not be any grace for you on tomorrow if you neglect your salvation today.
Noah found grace, embraced it, hugged it to his bosom in such a beautiful way that he influenced the other members of his family who also held on to it for over a hundred and twenty years as they built the ark. The grace of God spoke to them, gave them vision, light, strength, courage, and love.
God’s grace is sufficient. You who have the grace of Jesus Christ have the strength, courage, help, wisdom, knowledge, compassion, and the greatness for this hour at your fingertips. You’re embracing grace and all the promises of God incorporated in it.
Every promise that God has ever made man is in grace. If it isn’t in grace, it’s no good. Your salvation isn’t any good if it’s not in grace. You’ll never see Heaven unless you live in the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the miracle God at work.
Jesus Lifted the Curse
When sin entered Eden, the curse came upon the land; everything beautiful was made ugly. It would take the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to lift that curse. And one day it will be lifted; one day there’ll be no more curse upon the land. In the Perfect Age for a thousand years the Lord will come down with the saints of God to enjoy the whole earth before He renovates it. For a thousand years the earth will be an Eden, peace in all the valleys, peace on every mountain top, peace everywhere. The lamb and the lion will lie down together—what a glorious time it will be. Why? It’s all because of the one word grace, the grace of Jesus Christ.
Think of the land being healed, and then understand that if God will heal the land, He’ll heal you; you mean more to Him than the land. You have a soul that can’t die; you’ll either have a living death in hell or a living life in Heaven. A miraculous Christ came with a remedy for the curse, and He is offering you everything today through His grace. God loves each human being with all His heart. All the grace of God belongs individually to you; stake your claim.
Jesus paid the redemption price, not only for our souls; He bought back man’s possession: the redemption of the earth. Jesus came to seek and to save everything that was lost in the fall of man. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). He came with grace. Anytime you have a problem, anytime you have a need, anytime you need a miracle or a healing, look to the one word, grace, and you’ll find your answer.
All the mercy of God is in the word grace. That’s the reason we call the church Grace Cathedral. The Lord took me into the word grace when I was seeking a name years ago for the church. He showed me the great benefits of grace; everything of God is in grace. There’s not another word I could come up with through God that covered everything but that one word.
God Delivered Lot
Picture God moving down through the years as we walk through the Old Testament. See Him in Lot’s day, the grace of God in action, the miracle God at work to bring such a few out of total destruction. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:15-17,24-26).
Through God’s mighty grace and miracle hands He was bringing out only four people—but one didn’t make it all the way, just part of the way. Her heart was still back in Sodom and Gomorrah; the grace of God cannot cover and deliver a person to safety unless that one loses sight of the world. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John 2:15).
Lot’s wife didn’t have enough love of God in her to keep her going straight ahead. She loved what was behind—the times of pleasure, the sins of the flesh—she was longing to go back. God had left that place; she wanted to go back where God did not dwell, where God no longer walked. God had ceased to talk to anyone in Sodom and Gomorrah; He had no voice to raise, no love to give anyone there; yet Lot’s wife loved the place.
People longing for things ungodly are not going to Heaven; they’ll never make it. Heaven is filled with God, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. You’ll have to love each one of the Godhead with all of your heart to lose sight of the world of sin. Find your way to Calvary and let the love of the world all be buried in the blood of the Lamb until even God can’t see it. Through the blood of Jesus you’re made into that holy creation like the Lord made in the beginning with holy thoughts and a holy, holy spirit that matches the holiness and righteousness of God.
The two angels sent to bring Lot and his family out of Sodom are types and shadows: one a type of the Word and the other a type of the Holy Ghost. It will be through the Word and the Holy Ghost that you’ll make the Rapture if you’re living when the Rapture takes place. However, if you don’t honor the Word, don’t hide it in your heart, you’ll sin against God. You must have the Word. You can’t walk with God without His Word, can’t be saved without His Word; it’s an impossibility.
The fact that the miracle God saved Lot and his daughters from destruction should let you know that it doesn’t matter what other people are doing; it’s a matter of your own personal life that enables God to move for you. The Lord is looking out for His obedient children. You don’t have to worry that you will be defeated through someone else, that your blessings are not going to come because of another person’s lack; God loves you; God has promised you. The grace, love, joy, and peace of God belong to you. The greatness of God is yours; embrace it, hug it, carry it with you and keep it. If others won’t use the peace of God, if they’re always depressed, oppressed, frustrated and in despair, their actions have nothing to do with you. You as an individual can be happy in Jesus. It is the will of the Lord for you to be happy.
In the grace of God you don’t find unhappiness, sadness, depression and despair. His grace is sufficient to help you be a Jesus overcomer every day that you have left on planet Earth.
God Made a Moses
We see this great God working for a whole nation in Egyptian bondage. Could just any man have brought them out? Absolutely not! At first Moses didn’t want the responsibility; remember, he gave his excuses before God. But only God could have made a Moses, and Moses didn’t know how well he had been made. He didn’t realize that the Lord took him over as a babe and started molding him to be the man who one day would lead his people out of bondage. The miracle hands of God worked on him day after day, year after year until at last God looked at the finished product. Made by the hands of God, by the Spirit of God, by the love of God, by the strength of God, Moses was now prepared to stand before Pharaoh, prepared to stand any and all tests. Moses was ready for God’s gifts to work through him; the miracle power came, the discerning came, the greatness came, and the gift of knowledge worked.
It was marvelous how the gifts of God worked in Egypt. Yes, God worked His gifts through Moses to show His great love and will for His chosen people. He poured His power through Moses and with miraculous deliverance He brought the Israelites forth from Egyptian bondage. By the mighty hand of God, the great right hand, God delivered Israel; and by His left hand, He brought judgment upon Pharaoh.
God will fight for His people in this last hour. Fear not; be of great courage. Your destiny is to win the lost at any cost, to get this Gospel to the ends of the earth. The Lord will be with you, giving you strength and help. His power will be yours as you yield to Him to do all that He wants you to do.
The Walls of Jericho Tumbled Down
God brought the Israelites out of Egypt by a miracle hand; it was God at work. We see God at work in Joshua’s day—it was amazing what He did to the mighty walls of Jericho! The people shouted and the miracle hand slapped down the walls as if they had been pasteboard, and it was all done and over with. Years later we see the man called Jesus walking on that same ground: As he [Jesus] went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way (Mark 10:46-48;51,52).
The Lord gave the man sight, an even greater miracle than the walls of Jericho tumbling down. The man called Jesus came with miraculous power, walked and worked among men. He, no doubt, stood the same height as most of the disciples. He had the same size eyes and ears, the same size hands, but the difference was that His were miraculous; He was the miraculous Christ. It was masterful surgery that He performed on Bartimaeus.
God’s Power Worked through Elijah and Elisha
This miracle power had been used through two men many years before Christ: Elijah and Elisha. God must have human instruments to pour His power through. Think about those miracle hands preparing a man to go to Heaven in an open chariot. For a man in our day to get to the moon, he has to be closed inside a tiny space capsule to be protected. But when the miraculous one, the Lord God Almighty, gets ready to take the Bride home, she’s not going to be closed in. She won’t have to be protected; in the grace of God she will rise to meet Jesus in the clouds.
Some people want to make reservations to go to the moon, but I don’t want to go to the moon; I’ve got enough desolation to look at down here, enough desolate souls to try to help become fertile.
Second Kings 2:9-13, Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan. What an experience to have witnessed such a miraculous sight! Then Elisha saw the mantle coming down, down, down and he had faith to believe that the man of God had told him the truth: If you see me when I go away you’ll have a double portion of the Spirit.
Elisha took up the mantle, hugged it to him; through faith he knew he had the double portion, knew the miracle God who had worked through Elijah was going to work through him. Elisha rushed back to Jordan and took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over (II Kings 2:14). Did Elisha cry out through doubt? No, through faith, and the Lord God of Elijah separated the waters to the left and to the right. Elisha, I’m sure, shouted all the way across Jordan: Glory be to God! It was a great manifestation of I-Am.
The Bride Will Be a Terror to the Devil
The Lord will manifest Himself to the Bride in all kinds of ways through the gift of miracles. That’s the reason the Bride will be so fearless, so like a mighty army with banners. Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (Song of Solomon 6:10)?
The Bride will be a terror to the devil because God, Jesus Christ the crucified, and the Holy Spirit will be all living reality to her. The Lord is working on His children now so that each one will have definite assurance that they have what God said they could have and that He does live and dwell in them. On the inside they have the greatest of miracles, the miracle of the soul’s salvation. Reach in and touch that miracle; know that you have a born again experience.
God Must Be Living Reality to You
When you know that without a doubt you are born again, you’re on your way into the all-out miracle greatness of God. When that salvation miracle becomes living reality, when that miracle is as real as the fingers on your hands, the skin on your body, the eyes you see through and the ears you hear with, then you’ll wade on into all the realities of God. You’ll stand with the determination of a Noah, knowing that Jesus is your ark and you’re going to sail. One day the ark door will close and there won’t be anyone else saved, anyone else to get in. You know God’s promises are true just like Moses knew His promises were true, that God will do what He said He would do. Moses didn’t know how many days it would take before they left Egypt, but he knew they were leaving.
You don’t know how many more days it will be until the Rapture, but if the Lord has become living reality to you, if your salvation is real, you know you are leaving.
Your salvation, I say again, must be real before other promises of God can be real. Before the Holy Spirit can be living reality to you, your born again experience has to become real. Covered with the blood, washed in the blood, your soul has the life of God in it. No one can make you doubt the divine blood on the inside of your soul that has given you eternal life. You know you’re going to live forever; the body will go back to the earth, but not your soul.
Now is the hour to shout Hallelujah! in all living reality, to praise God without one tiny speck of disbelief. It’s time for each individual to behold the whole plan of God from here to the gates of Glory, and to see the road clearly, knowing that you will make it and you don’t have to worry.
We must reach others who are out of the ark, others who haven’t been washed in the blood, the many, many inhabitants of the earth who have never heard the story of divine grace. They’ve never heard the story of Mount Calvary, never heard of the crucified Christ or the resurrected Jesus; and we’re going to tell His story without any doubt. We’re going to tell it with all faith in such a way that the multitudes will believe and receive in a moment of time. Oh, glory be to God!
You Can Call Heaven Anytime
The Bride will sow this seed in the same spirit as the man called Jesus sowed it; she will speak like Him; there will be no difference. The Bride will have the same voice of love and courage and use the same power of grace that He used when He was here on Earth. He brought that grace all the way from Heaven fresh for you and for me. Realize that when you are born again you live in the grace of God; you can talk to God, call Heaven anytime; you have that privilege. You don’t need another person with you; you can call Jesus yourself: That’s reality.
We sing the song: “My Lord Is Coming Back To Earth Again.” For you to get the joy out of that song that you should receive, its promise must be reality. This is no time to be discouraged: Look to Jesus. Every time you look you see Jesus because He promised He would be there; He promised to never leave you nor forsake you, to ever be with you. It’s doubt and disbelief when you’re hunting for Him, not letting Him be the reality to you He wants to be. He is saying, Child, I’m with you. Let that be music to your ears!
Paul had the reality of the closeness of Jesus when he wrote, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). And John said, Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (I John 4:4). John knew Jesus in the flesh and he knew Him in Spirit.
The Miracle Hands of Jesus
Look again at the greatness of the miraculous God working through Elijah and Elisha and then see the prophet of all prophets, the great prophet of God, Jesus Christ. There’s none like Him; with miracle hands He took clay, made eyes for a man, told him to go wash and come seeing. Jesus spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6,7).
Miracle hands touched the dead and they lived—such miracle power, such grace, such love, such compassion for all humanity were in the man called Jesus.
Jesus saw a man with a withered hand and said, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other (Mark 3:5). The hand came to normal before the man’s eyes. It’s a beautiful sight to see the Lord work, the miraculous one.
Think about you and God, you and Jesus, you and the Holy Ghost. The God of the universe is yours; He is your God. You have no other God; you want no other. You want no other Christ, no other redeemer; you want no other to live and walk with you than Jesus, the Rose of Sharon, the bright and Morning Star, the Pearl of great price, the Water of life—it’s you and Jesus. Such reality, such vision He gives! To have the whole Godhead living and dwelling on the inside of your pure soul—there’s nothing like it. And with all this greatness come the nine gifts of the Spirit to work with such power in the Bride, and one of those gifts is the gift of miracles, the working of miracles.
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
God chooses certain people and trusts them with His gifts. Oh, the wonder of it all! The Holy Spirit operates those gifts; each gift is a mighty manifestation of the Spirit, the Bible plainly tells us, but they work in different ways. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all (I Corinthians 12:4-6).
We must have the gifts of the Spirit in operation in the church in this last hour so that people can see the manifestations and know that the Spirit lives and dwells on the inside, that the Spirit is real. He is a person and He truly lives in hearts and souls; there is none like Him.
Oh, the greatness of Him, this miraculous God with His gifts to work for all peoples who will yield to Him in this last and final hour! There’s nothing like the miracle hands of God. Look at the miracle God at work, and as you behold Him, He becomes real to you, so real that you can receive what you are in need of.
Let Christ Do a Miracle Work on You
Are you ready for this miraculous Christ to do a miracle work on you? It’s a small thing for Him to touch blinded eyes and bring about sight. It’s a small thing for Him to open deaf ears and give them hearing, to touch dumb tongues and make them speak. He’s the miracle God who created the first tongue out of the dust of the earth and gave it power to speak; He made the first eardrums and gave them power to hear. This is the miracle Christ, the miracle God, the miracle Holy Spirit working for man and woman today. Don’t look to yourself and don’t look to people; look to God, the great I-Am, look to His mighty, supernatural gifts. Behold Him; He is the God of this Bible. Do you know Him? To know Him is to know His miraculous power to work, His miraculous greatness to deliver you and yours. Don’t look at that helpless child, look at the miracle hands of God that made the first man, the first woman. Those hands are ready to work for you through Calvary today. Let Him work for you in living reality; He is ready. With His blood stripes we are healed. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you, those with cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, AIDS or any other disease. Lay a healing hand on the sick and afflicted. Thou art God; we need no other. From your supernatural gifts of healing and gift of miracles it comes. In the name of your Son Jesus, heal! In the name of the Lord, heal! In the all-powerful name of Jesus, heal! heal! I pray.
As His miraculous healing power flows into your body, into the body of your little one, accept His promises. Believe Him and receive now; decide it is done. This heart has come to normal, the diabetes has left, the blood pressure is normal, AIDS is healed. You have come in contact with I-Am, the same yesterday, today and forever.
Salvation, the Greatest Miracle
Sinner, you need the greatest miracle that God has; He gave Jesus so you could have this miracle of salvation. God’s greatest miracle took all the love that God had to make it possible for you. No matter what you’ve done, no matter how steeped in the pits of sin you are, you can be delivered. You can be brought up out of that pit through divine blood that was shed on Calvary for you.
Come to Jesus. Don’t wait; tomorrow may be too late. Maybe the Lord has spared you just to read this one last sermon. This may be your last sermon before the death angel comes for you. You may feel you’re in good health, but suddenly the heart stops beating; suddenly the soul has to take its flight. Where, oh where will your soul spend eternity?
Oh, God, I don’t want to go to hell. I don’t want to lose my soul; hell and eternal damnation have become real to my spirit through your holy Word. I know you’re God and I know that Jesus died for me; and oh God, I ask for mercy. Give me mercy; give me mercy; oh God, give me mercy! Now I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!
If you meant that prayer, He has come. If you meant it, He is yours. Believe Him to never doubt Him again. Start praying, fasting and living in the Word. All of that will help you, and one day Heaven will be yours for all eternity. God bless you is my prayer as you see the miracle God at work in your life.
