Jesus said, This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you (John 15:12). You can and must have that love because you will never make the Rapture without it. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour (Ephesians 5:2). That is all the love you will ever need, and you will never be able to use it all.

Jesus came to Earth and paved the road of divine love; and then He declared, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus truly is the way, and He calls us to walk the love road and to follow in His steps. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21).

Get On the Love Road

Every child of God must walk the love road if they want to please the Lord; and to get on the love road, you must enter the strait gate of salvation. Enter ye in at the strait [narrow, strict] gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). It is easy to walk down the broad road, and the devil will make it look like it is the best way to go; but it isn’t. Some people will actually see how close to the world they can walk and still be on the straight and narrow road, but that is very dangerous.

Until Jesus came, people didn’t know how to walk in divine love; it took His death on the Cross to show them the way. He died to bring us the grace of God, and He brought the kind of love that would not only instill within us the desire to walk in love but also furnish us the power to do it. Divine love is the first thing you receive when you are saved and all your sins are washed away.

After Jesus ascended back to Heaven, the Day of Pentecost came when those in the Upper Room were filled with the Holy Ghost. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1-4). When the disciples received the Holy Ghost, they had power from On High; and the Holy Ghost shed abroad the love of God in their hearts. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5).

It is not enough just to receive the love of God; you must walk in that love and yield to the Holy Spirit daily so He can keep God’s love moving within you. Nevertheless, some people give over to their human spirit instead of yielding to the Holy Spirit. If someone hurts their feelings, they walk the road of self-pity trying to emotionally punish the person who hurt them; but that is not walking in love. If somebody hurts you, turn them over to the Lord; and while He is healing your hurt, He will repay them for hurting you. Then you can go right on walking the straight and narrow road no matter what comes your way.

What Would Jesus Do?

God’s love forgives, and Jesus was our example when He said on the Cross, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). People may not treat you fairly, but they didn’t treat Jesus fairly either. If you had been in Jesus’ place, you might have spent your time pleading, “Father, come and get me!” If you cry that at hard times now, you must stop and say, “Lord, I will make it with your help and grace.”

Jesus won a soul while He was dying on the Cross for us. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him [Jesus], saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise (Luke 23:39-43). That man was a criminal and full of sin; but when he looked to the divine blood, it cleansed him.

You must forgive others as Christ forgave you. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32). Only through God’s love can you forgive as Christ forgave.

Jesus always called human love “little love,” and human love can never do for God what needs to be done. When you walk in divine love, you no longer follow the ways of the old man but of the new man who is within you. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).

Put People in God’s Hands

You must learn to let God deal with any injustices in your life because your enemies will get the best of you if you carry a grudge. Turn your enemies over to Him in love and then go on to think about the many souls God has marked for you to win. God doesn’t like some people, but He loves their souls; and so must you.

Jesus taught the disciples to pray for their enemies. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you (Matthew 5:44). Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake (Matthew 5:11). You will be blessed when you are persecuted if you have a heart of divine love.

When you walk in God’s love, you will have His compassion toward others; but if you lack that compassion, you will tend to be judgmental and desire vengeance. You will become irritable, upset and feel compelled to share your indignation; but when you come to yourself and enter the realm of Jesus’ love, you will be sorry.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice (Ephesians 4:31). That is the Lord speaking to us today through the Word of God, and His Word uncovers the poison of bitterness and any other blemish that may be in you. Always remember that having anything unlike God in your heart toward others is more harmful to you than it is to them.

Did Jesus make all His steps in love or just some of them? Was He on the love road all the time or only when everything was going His way? How did Jesus face opposition from others? Jesus walked in love and yielded to the Holy Spirit, and you must, too. We bring many battles on ourselves because we let self take charge rather than the Holy Ghost. When you are facing difficult situations, ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” If you don’t have an answer, wait; and God will give it to you.

What Is in You Comes Out

When you walk in love, you will not gossip, criticize or fail to speak unto edification. The Bible says, For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20). Many people are deceived into thinking that all is well between them and the Lord because they don’t lie, cheat, steal or commit adultery; however, their words betray them when they spew forth poison and destruction. You must never let the devil tell you what to say because such talk will not get into Heaven.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). God looks on the heart; and if you have a good heart in the eyes of God, what comes out will be good. For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7).

The Bible is God’s mirror of love in perfection. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass [a mirror] the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (II Corinthians 3:18). God’s love will purify you. Through the Word, you will see yourself being changed; and sinners will take notice because when someone is happy, people want to know why.

Just Like Jesus

When you have divine love, you will use it; and then you will walk and talk like Jesus. He that saith he abideth in him [Jesus Christ] ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked (I John 2:6). As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him (Colossians 2:6).

Don’t deceive yourself if you are not really walking the love road because God is now cutting out all deceit from the hearts of men who sincerely want the truth. Those who don’t want the truth will be spewed onto the pathway of the Lord’s judgment, and they will never see Heaven.

Don’t measure your love by your own spirit because your spirit will always want privileges that the Jesus love road does not allow. You must measure your love with God’s measuring stick, the Word. It will stand for eternity. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35).

The love road is a supernatural road laid out by supernatural power, and following the steps of Jesus is a supernatural walk only made possible by the power of Christ living within. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

If you are a child of God, Christ lives in you; and the Father walks in you. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16). Then when you receive the Holy Ghost, He will live in you and be there all the time. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).

You Need the Mind of Christ

With the Godhead living within, you can be just like Jesus and have the same mind He had. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). Many people say that no one can think or be like Jesus, and most preachers even teach that everybody sins; but the truth is that only sinners commit sin, and sin can’t get into Heaven. The Bible tells us that God will not accept sin no matter who is committing it. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on [accept] iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13).

You must take on the same mind of divine humility that Jesus had. Who [Jesus], being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men (Philippians 2:6,7).

You can never think of yourself as being better than others, but many have fallen into that. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). You have to put self under the blood and keep him there. If you make a mistake, you must immediately ask God to forgive you and say, “Lord, I need more of your love from Heaven.”

Jesus built the love road as the Son of God, but He walked it as a man and showed us that we could walk that road, too. Our own human spirits will resist walking the love road, so each one of us must yield his or her spirit to divine love. Jesus used no more power than what is available to us, so anyone who yields to divinity can walk as He walked because divinity lives on the inside of those who are born new.

The love road is a never-ending road that goes on and on until it ends up in Heaven. Continue in God’s love, and you will stay on the love road. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love (John 15:9).

Have Abounding Love

The identifying mark of those on the love road is love for one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). If you don’t have that love, you are not a disciple of the Lord.

Divine love doesn’t bring confusion, fanaticism, grumbling, complaining or discontentment; it clears them all out. It doesn’t deceive, lie, betray or gossip; and if you do those things, you are headed for destruction. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10).

God’s love separates true children of God from pretenders, and those who have that love will isolate themselves from the world and from all sin. The Bible tells us that God is love, and His love reaches out for lost and dying humanity. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (I John 4:8). As you separate completely from the world and into the love of God, His love will abound in you more and more. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more (Philippians 1:9).

God gives us His love so we can be filled with His fullness. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).

You will never be rooted and grounded in God’s Word unless you are rooted and grounded in His love. Then when you have that love, you can grow in His grace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). God’s love and grace are gifts; you cannot work to receive them.

God and His love are in every valley and on every mountain. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there (Psalm 139:7,8). The devil creates the illusion that the Earth is filled with more hate than love, but that is not so; and never let him deceive you with that. Nevertheless, so many people ignore God’s love and instead reach for the devil’s hate.

No True Love

The world today is dying because of the lack of God’s true love. People profess to have many different kinds of love, but they are counterfeits for God’s love; and they are more dangerous than counterfeit money. Most people would never dare try to use counterfeit money because they would be afraid of getting arrested, yet they will try to use counterfeit love when the only real love comes from God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Jesus was God’s great love gift.

Without God’s love, we will never be able to please Him or do His work in this final hour. We have to love like Jesus loved when He was here, and that is the same love He left for us to use. That is why we must study the life of Christ like we have never studied it before. Everything we need is in each step He made and in all His attitudes, traits and characteristics.

Jesus walked on Earth with the very heart of God; so when you are walking in the divine steps of His Son, Jesus, then your heart beats in rhythm with the heart of God just like Adam’s and Eve’s did in the beginning. They had nothing but divine love without any fear.

Today, many people and even Christians are afraid because they either lack true love or are not using it. You have to use divine love, or it will not do you any good. That old monster of fear will come at you again and again; but don’t let it stay, or you will be in trouble. Turn yourself immediately over to the Holy Spirit, and He will shed abroad the love of God in your heart and flush all the fear right out of your mind.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7). God gives only a spirit of love, and you must carry it with you wherever you go so you will have peace. Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6,7).

If you do not use the love of God, you will have no peace; and you will not enjoy the promises of God. The disciples were amazed at the divine love Jesus showed because He was human just like they were. He walked and talked like any other man, but everything He did was through divine love.

Counterfeit Love Fails

The devil can deceive you and make you think you have plenty of love when you don’t, and he can make you think you are using it when you are not. When you use God’s love, you will not carry bad feelings, grudges or strife in your spirit. You will not want to get even because you will know the Lord said, Vengeance is mine; I will repay (Romans 12:19).

You cannot find salvation without divine love. It takes the Holy Spirit to convict you of your sins, and it takes Calvary and the precious blood of Jesus to wash them all away. At Calvary, you will receive what is called first love; and in that love, you will find Heaven’s character, divine greatness and the true and living way. You will find life; but without love, you will have no life no matter how much money or how many possessions you have.

At Calvary, you have to let go of the past; but some of you did not do that. You keep going back into the past where you didn’t have enough love or maybe none at all. You may have been abused, neglected, lied to or hurt in some other way; but Calvary should have brought you deliverance. Paul said, This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13,14). The devil is the one who does not want you to seal the past with the blood.

If you did not find divine love when you went to Calvary, you did not really find Calvary. You may have thought you did, but you were deceived like so many others have been. You may have shaken the preacher’s hand, joined the church and even been baptized in water; but you never found true salvation or divine love.

Divine Love Makes a Home

God made people to love and to be loved, but true love is a stranger to many. They don’t recognize it and have been deceived about what it really is, and that is why so many have married the wrong person. They did not have eyes of love when they picked their mate, and some even had eyes of lust rather than love; and there is a drastic difference between the two. Only divine love sees as God sees and feels as He feels.

If you argue in your home, it is because there is not enough love. The Bible says, Charity [love] suffereth long, and is kind; charity [love] envieth not; charity [love] vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up [full of ego] (I Corinthians 13:4). As long as you have any ego, you do not have enough love.

God’s love purges and purifies human love, and that is why there is happiness and peace in a home of divine love. However, if one partner is trying to show love and the other is not, there will be trouble; and if two people claim to be saved yet cannot stop arguing, something is really wrong.

Men, when you walk in the house, do you look at your wife and think, “I wonder how much she has been spending now”; or “I wonder where she has been.”? Thank God, I didn’t marry that kind of love. I married someone who loved me better than she loved herself, and true love makes the difference.

You ruin things when you won’t accept love because there is nothing to live for without it. You may be trying to make a good marriage, but you are leaving real love out most of the time. You cannot even settle your monthly bills without arguing because you don’t agree about how to pay them or even what to buy in the first place. One wants this while the other wants that, and it will never work.

There is no need to try to make a home if you are not going to put love in it first and foremost; and if you don’t have God’s love to put in it, it will not work out. Carpet, draperies and furniture don’t make a home; only love makes a home. Unfortunately, many people today never really fall in love because they don’t know what true love is. They grumble, complain and are dissatisfied; but if the love of God was in their homes, you would not hear those things.

I was served love as a child, and we had a lot of it in our home. We had a family altar; and in the evening, my parents would gather the children together, and it was time to be quiet while Daddy read to us from the Word of God. He never tired us out by reading chapter after chapter; he would just read a short passage of scripture and then pray.

My mother was full of love, and she never neglected any of us or said, “I don’t have time for you now.” I did not have to take my problems to teachers, psychiatrists or anyone else; I just took them home. My mother had so much divine wisdom and knowledge because she had God’s love, and she prayed and lived in the presence of God. If she didn’t have the answer to a problem, she would pray about it; and she would always get the answer.

The love in our home was as real as the beds we slept in and the food we ate. Even today, my home is not empty; it is filled with God’s presence, grace and love. However, the Lord cannot fill any place with Himself unless He can serve love.

Submit through Love

Love is something you have to dine on all day long. You have to think through love and pray through love; but if you are carrying a grudge or are full of ego, that will be impossible, and your prayers will not be answered. Every one of your prayers should be prayed through love with a pure heart and not one speck of sin, disobedience or rebellion. You must have both of your hands in God’s hands and make every step a love step.

You must fast through love and not through obligation. Real Bible fasting puts the human spirit down; and when you do that, love flows like mighty rivers from the throne of God and wipes away all depression, oppression and discontentment.

Do you hear the Lord calling you to the prayer chamber, to fasting and to fellowshipping with the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost? This is a love time in the Lord but a restless hour in the world. Whatever you love is what you will abide in, and many people are not contented unless they are on the go all the time. Even many Christians cannot get quiet; and after a busy day, they cannot stay awake to talk to God, so they live on false hope instead of real love.

The Lord can only give Himself to you through love; so if you are neglecting His love, you are living far beneath your privilege because there is no benefit to living outside the realm of God’s love. God did everything He could to make the Israelites love Him, but they never stayed true. Nobody can make one person love another person; and without love, the Lord considers us nothing. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:2).

Love Wins Souls

I never thought I could live without my wife, Angel; but after the Lord took her home to be with Him, He put me back together with love. It was not love for myself but more love for Him than I had ever had before and more love to help people and to tell them the story of Jesus. Divine love wins people for the Lord, and that is why I can go into dangerous places where other preachers won’t go. I am called of God, and I serve the people His love; and many of them see real love for the first time.

Love pays no attention to a person’s color, how much money they have or how they dress. God made all people, and we must show tenderness toward them like God does. I love all people, especially poor people. I wish I could take them into my arms and hold them close until they feel God’s love flowing into them and giving them life.

Love is the answer, so you must never go to the mission field unless you have been made perfect in divine love. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love (I John 4:16-18).

Jesus tells us that you are to be as perfect in divine love as your Father in Heaven is. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Without that perfect love, you will not be able to reach people; and you will be more of a hindrance than a help to God’s work. Through love, we have to tell the greatest story ever told of the greatest life of love ever lived—the life of Jesus.

Calvary was a love victory. Jesus gave everything He had so you and I could have divine love, so don’t cast it aside and let self rise up to grumble and complain. Seek to be like Jesus and to love like He loved.

Perfect Obedience

Perfect love brings perfect obedience, and you can only go God’s way through perfect obedience; so never deceive yourself into thinking that you do not have to obey the Lord in all things. Jesus said, If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15). But many will not do that, and Jesus knew it. That is why He said, Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say (Luke 6:46)? Only those who obey the Lord will go to Heaven. Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21).

The first man’s one disobedience caused everyone to be born sinners, but then Jesus Christ’s one obedience enabled many to be made righteous. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:19).

Adam failed, but Jesus did not. And being found in fashion as a man, he [Jesus] humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8). Jesus brought eternal love and salvation to all mankind by being obedient to the death of the Cross. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him (Hebrews 5:9). Only through obedience to Him can we obtain that wonderful salvation and keep it, and we must not fail.

Jesus died in our place so we could become sons and daughters of God and go to Heaven. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12,13).

You cannot be careless with God’s love or neglect His salvation. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect [are careless with] so great salvation (Hebrews 2:2,3)? You must obey the truth because obedience purifies the heart. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently (I Peter 1:22).

Obedience through the Word

Jesus likened obedience to wisdom and disobedience to foolishness. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:24-27).

Those who are obedient to the Lord’s instructions will be able to stand even when great opposition comes against them; but when you fail to obey the Lord, you will not have His guidance, His anointings or His blessings. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it (Isaiah 1:19,20).

You can only be obedient by knowing the Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). Then you have to act on the Word. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22).

You can only obey and act on the Word through love. Jesus said, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him (John 14:23). The Father and the Son will abide with all who live in perfect obedience. What greater blessing can we have than that?

God wants to be real to us; and He will be so happy when He can finally take us out of this world of sin to a place where there is no more sickness, pain, heartache, dying or despair. In Heaven, we will never cry again. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4).

The Lord has planned so much for the Bride in this final hour; but she has to be spotless. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). Only those who are living according to the divine, perfect will of God will be changed when the Lord returns. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52). That day is coming soon, and it is up to you to be ready.

Let God Work

Obedience brings success. The Bible says, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth [and you will keep telling others about it]; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous [spiritually, physically and financially], and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). If the Lord promised all of that under the Law, how much more will He do for those of you who are under grace? He will watch out for you, take care of you and supply your needs; but you have to turn everything over to Him and let Him work. Of course, the devil will fight to prevent us from letting Him work; but we can’t listen to him. God wants you and me to carry the burden for lost souls.

Some people will not let God work; and when the Lord asks them to do something His way, they get into trouble by interpreting His instructions their way. That is why you have to be so careful in this last hour to listen, obey and wait on the Lord. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

When you wait on the Lord, you can ride out the storms of life and let nothing get you down; but many run from God like Jonah did. Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD (Jonah 1:1-3). We cannot afford to run from what God wants us to do. We must warn people all over the world that they are going to be destroyed and that nothing but the blood and grace of Jesus can save them.

Obedience vs. Disobedience

God gave Joshua many victories over the enemy because he was careful to obey the Lord in all things, and he let God work. As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses (Joshua 11:15).

In contrast, Simon Peter was disobedient and did not do things God’s way. When Jesus was betrayed by Judas, Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear…Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it (John 18:10,11)?

Peter was insulted when Jesus rebuked him, and he backed away from his Lord. Peter followed Jesus from afar on the night of His trial and then backslid. He even denied ever knowing Jesus three times; and when he denied Him the third time, then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly (Matthew 26:74,75). Imagine how Peter must have felt when he had to face Jesus, knowing that he had denied Him.

If Peter had stayed awake in the Garden of Gethsemane on the last night that Jesus was with the disciples and if he had watched and prayed like Jesus had asked him to, he would not have disobeyed and failed. And he [Jesus] cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:40,41).

You must always remember that the Lord has your best interest in mind and never give place to the devil by getting insulted with the truth and pouting. You must appreciate it when the Lord rebukes you and shows you the right way, and it must make you love Him even more. You must want Him to let you know when you do even the least little thing wrong, say the wrong thing at the wrong time or say something without love.

Have No Doubt

Children of God, keep praying and never doubt. Faith is what works. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report (Hebrews 11:1,2). The eleventh chapter of Hebrews is known as the faith chapter, and the people mentioned there did unbelievable things through love and faith because they obeyed God; and true children of God can do the same things today.

We must believe to see the things of God, but doubting Thomas did not do that. Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:24,25). When you look at things through the natural, you will doubt. It takes faith in God and His promises to believe and obey.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:29). Do you look at the Word of God through your natural eyes and doubt? The Bible says, Neither be ye of doubtful mind (Luke 12:29).

Doubtful minds are weak in faith and more ready to argue than obey. Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations (Romans 14:1). You should always try to help those who are weak in the faith, but don’t listen to those who dispute the Word of the living God. Get away from them at once, even if they are your own family members.

A Disobedient Heart

Disobedient hearts will back away from God when they don’t get their way. They prefer to do what they want to do without considering God’s will or instructions, and it makes big trouble. People must wait on God in perfect obedience and be willing to do things God’s way only.

Saul disobeyed the instructions of God given through Samuel that the children of Israel were to kill all the Amalekites. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass (I Samuel 15:3). The Lord told Saul to destroy everything, but Saul did what he wanted to do. But Saul and the people spared Agag [the king of that nation], and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly (I Samuel 15:9).

Afterward, Saul declared to Samuel that he had done the will of the Lord. And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD (I Samuel 15:13). But Samuel knew that was not so; and he said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear (I Samuel 15:14)?

Saul’s disobedience grieved God and Samuel, but Saul was only sorry that he had been caught; and he justified his disobedience by saying, The people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God (I Samuel 15:15). It may have sounded like a good thing, but it was not what God had instructed.

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king (I Samuel 15:22,23).

After God gives you instructions, you must never think for Him and choose what you will and will not do. That is thinking too highly of oneself, and you must never put yourself ahead of what God wants. His will must come before eating, sleeping or anything else. God will show you what He wants if you love Him and are willing to obey; but if you disobey, then He will not show you.

The Israelites were disobedient; and because of that, they had to wander in the wilderness for forty years until all those who were twenty years and older when they left Egypt had died. And the LORD’s anger was kindled…and he sware, saying, Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me…And the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed (Numbers 32:10,11,13).

God was definitely not pleased with them. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted (I Corinthians 10:5,6). We must always obey the Lord and follow His divine will in all things.

Follow Divinity

If you know your heart today and you really want God’s will, then you can say with all divine humility, “Have your way, Lord. Make my paths plain, and I will walk them all.” This is the hour of perfect obedience unto the Lord, and only those who have that obedience can please God. They are the ones God will be able to use in perfection to bring in the harvest; and they are the ones who will hear Him say, “Well done; it is time to go home.” Then the cares, persecutions, trials and hardships of this life will all melt quickly away, never to be remembered again.

Until that day, Jesus is our example of love and obedience; and we must follow Him. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him (John 13:15,16). That is the Lord’s humility.

We must listen to the voice of divinity. Seven times in the book of Revelation, He said, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). You will never make it without having the Holy Spirit living within you; and prayer, fasting and living in the Word will keep His anointing flowing.

God’s Gospel is so simple that even children can understand it. Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God (Mark 10:14). He also said, And a little child shall lead them (Isaiah 11:6). However, the Lord expects us to be grown-ups and not have childish ways. Paul said, When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things (I Corinthians 13:11). Many people have childish ways, but that is not God’s way.

Who Do You Listen To?

You must have divine love and perfect obedience in your thought life. The devil will bring bad thoughts to your mind and make you think you have to keep them. He will try to convince you that those thoughts are coming from God when they are coming directly from the devil. The Bible says, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5).

You are not responsible for every thought you have, but you are responsible for the ones you accept and put into practice. When you are obedient to God, you will be ready to take action against any disobedience that tries to creep in. Let the Lord know you want Him to give you good thoughts, and He will.

Paul tells us in Philippians the things we should think on; and if you will do that, you will be able to use them to get rid of the bad thoughts. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

People are usually more than ready to take revenge on those who try to destroy their character, but they are not ready to take revenge on their own disobedience which can damn their soul in hell. People who persecute you may be able to hurt your body, but they cannot touch your soul.

Are you going to obey people, God, self or the Holy Spirit? The apostles said, We ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29). You cannot let anybody who comes against you for pleasing God influence or discourage you, even if it is your own companion. If someone doesn’t have something good to say about Jesus, then move on.

You will become servants to those whom you obey. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness (Romans 6:16)? You must always want to be a servant to God and not a servant to self or the devil, but that is what will happen if you don’t obey God. You cannot allow yourself to become a servant to members of your family who are doing wrong. You have to turn them over to God because you will never win them by going along with them.

Accept Correction

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1). There will be no condemnation to those who obey God’s ordinances, and you must also obey those whom God has placed over you to watch out for your soul. Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you (Hebrews 13:17). You cannot dishonor the true men or women of God He has placed over you and do that which is pleasing in your own eyes.

They have obligated themselves to God to watch over your soul just as carefully as they watch over their own souls. They will warn you when you are headed for danger; but if you don’t listen, you will have to suffer. Then like Cain, you may think that your punishment is more than you can bear. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear (Genesis 4:13).

People may think they are right, but God weighs the spirit. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits (Proverbs 16:2). You must always want God to put His approval on your spirit.

Many people are humble and obedient when they start out living for the Lord; but later, they become too wise in their own conceits and fall away. I have seen people on fire for God and then watched as their fire went out because they became self-willed and would not obey the Lord. Paul asked the Galatians, Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth (Galatians 5:7)? What things have kept you out of church? What has hindered your prayer and fasting life? What has prevented you from living in the Word and acting it out?

You must take this message to heart because it will help you to win more souls, and you must be determined to win them. Use divinity on them and show them great love. Ask God to deal with them, and ask the Holy Ghost to convict them.

Thus saith the Lord, I am the Lord that speaketh unto thee. Do not be afraid of this hour. This is your great hour; I have made it great for you. I am depending on you to bring in the lost at any cost. I will reward you for all eternity. My grace will abound for you. You will be amazed at how I will bring people to you who are ready to receive me—they just need somebody to help them who has received from my glorious hands, saith the Lord. Look not to mankind, but look to your God who made you. Look to the soon-coming of your Lord, saith the Lord.

Accept God’s Love and Healing

If you are full of imperfections, sorrows, heartaches and sins today, obey the Lord and let love do its perfect work. Love is the road, and love is the answer.

Sinner and Backslider, let that love save you now. Lift your hand and say this prayer: Oh, God, I give my heart to you. You have given me a measure of faith today, and I am looking to Calvary and seeing it like I have never seen it before. You said if I would believe, you would forgive me of all of my sins. I do believe, so come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus! If you meant that prayer, now you have Him. Say, Hallelujah! Jesus is mine!

Now you are a candidate for physical healing. Isaiah the prophet said, With his stripes [His blood stripes] we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus went to the whipping post where cruel men beat Him almost to death, but He paid the price for us so we could have physical healing. We believe in good doctors and good hospitals, but they don’t have the cure for everything. Only the blood, the grace of God and the love of God can cure everything. When Jesus was here, He said to people, Wilt thou be made whole (John 5:6)? The Lord let me know that if people really desired that, Jesus healed them of everything; and He is doing the same thing today.

Jesus came with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). Through those wings of love, millions have been delivered; so lift up your heart to the Lord as I pray. Lord, heal the people today and give them a perfect miracle. Your blood heals everything. You took our sicknesses and diseases as well as our sins, and now you are the healer of all. Heal! in the all-powerful, blood-name of Jesus. Heal! Get well through Christ’s shed blood and watch your children get well. Then write or email and tell me about it.

We must take Jesus to the whole world before the King returns. God bless you is my prayer.
