Every morning, your heart should cry, “The divine will of God is all that matters!” That should be your foremost thought throughout every day and before you close your eyes each night. God has a divine will for everyone; but before you can do God’s will as He wants you to, you must first understand what God’s will is. Paul said, Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is (Ephesians 5:17).

Jesus came to Earth doing the divine will of God. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him [the Father] that sent me (John 6:38). He told the disciples, My meat [substance and nourishment] is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work (John 4:34).

Jesus did much of His Father’s work when He was on Earth, but there is still much more to be done; and the Bride must finish it. We must say as Jesus did, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

Do What God Wants

Those who are real sons and daughters of God will have the same desire to do the will of God that Jesus had. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother (Matthew 12:50).

Jesus did not seek to please Himself; He always did those things which pleased the Father. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him (John 8:29). Paul said, For even Christ pleased not himself (Romans 15:3).

You will find great joy, strength and contentment in doing God’s will; but you must never promise to do God’s will and then not follow through. Jesus said, Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21). Feelings and inspiration can move people to say many things, but only those who follow through will be justified in the eyes of God.

Jesus told this story: A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him (Matthew 21:28-32).

Have there been things the Lord asked you to do that you did not want to do? Perhaps you felt unqualified, or you thought it would take too much of your time; so you said no. Surely, you missed blessings you could have received, and you may even have missed a soul. However, if you later repented because you were ashamed that you had depended so much on your own abilities or that you had catered to your own selfish desires, then that is all that matters.

When you are willing to do whatever God asks of you, He will enable you to do it. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). When the Lord called me to preach, I was down on the floor of my little bedroom crying my heart out and saying, “I will, Lord, but I don’t know how.” But all the Lord wanted from me was my will, and then He led me step by step. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (I Thessalonians 5:24).

Paul Walked in God’s Will

God called the great Apostle Paul to preach the Gospel; and he said, I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry (I Timothy 1:12). Paul never let anything stop him from doing God’s will; and when you are determined to do His will, you won’t let anything or anyone stop you either, not even your own husband or wife.

Paul traveled to the different churches according to God’s will. Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you (Romans 1:10). That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed (Romans 15:32).

When Paul wrote letters to some of the brethren and to the different churches, he often opened them with, Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God (II Corinthians 1:1). Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:1). Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord (II Timothy 1:1,2).

When people who dearly loved Paul tried to persuade him not to go to Jerusalem because of the danger he would face there, he did not let their love and concern for him deter him from the will of God. There came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem (Acts 21:10-12).

Of course, Paul appreciated people’s love for him, and I’m sure it broke his heart to see them so concerned; but he knew he must continue on to do the will of God. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done (Acts 21:13,14). Paul set forth a great testimony for us today.

Carry the Gospel

Paul was always persuaded to do God’s will, and nothing but pleasing God moved him. He said, But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24).

To testify the Gospel of the grace of God is a great honor, and we are called to be witnesses for Him in this last great sweep of the whole Earth. God has told me that we will reach billions of souls, and we must not fail.

Can you honestly say like Paul did that you don’t count your life dear unto yourself ? You will never be able to if you are always trying to protect yourself from making sacrifices for the Lord. I will do anything for the Lord, and I am on duty for Him twenty-four hours around the clock.

I have no social life, but I have wonderful fellowship with the Lord; and I live in His presence. I love to spend time with the Lord, and it is exciting to talk to Him. He said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). I reason with the Lord; and I always say, “Yes, Lord, yes.”

Souls are my business; and I have told the Lord so many times, “God, don’t let me stay here on Earth one minute longer if I can’t win souls.” And the Lord knows I mean that. It is not God’s will for anyone to perish. The Bible says, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9).

The Lord gives each one of His children a burden for lost souls. And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). We must give our burdens to the Lord so we can carry the one burden He wants us to carry. Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).

Always remember that Jesus faced the same trials and temptations when He was on Earth that we do, and He will never put more on you than you can bear. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13).

Paul sought the Lord three different times to deliver him from a messenger of Satan that went everywhere he went and stirred up people; but the Lord said, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). That is all we need to know, too—that His grace is sufficient for us. And His grace is all the favor of Almighty God.

Love One Another

When God’s will is all that matters to you, then serving others will be more important to you than serving yourself. The Bible says, We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification (Romans 15:1,2). Your neighbor is not necessarily the person who lives next door to you. Your neighbor is all those throughout the world who love and serve the Lord with their whole heart.

Paul said, Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ (Galatians 6:1,2). Under the Old Testament Law, people did not bear one another’s burdens; but Jesus came and showed us how to look out for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Paul knew all about what Jesus taught; and he said, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in [divine] love (Ephesians 4:2).

We must love one another as Jesus taught. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). The Bible teaches love, love, love. But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another (I Thessalonians 4:9). Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another (I John 4:11).

We must learn how to forgive. The Bible says, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32). Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye (Colossians 3:13).

You must turn your enemies over to the Lord and let Him take care of them. The Bible says, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19). God will pay back your enemies in ways that you never could, so let Him do that.

Put God’s Will First

For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well-doing, than for evil-doing (I Peter 3:17). You can’t let what people say keep you from doing God’s will. When people lie about you, remember that they lied about Jesus, too; so don’t pay any attention to them. The Bible says that all liars will go to hell. All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8). Liars will think about all the lies they have told for trillions of years because there is no deliverance from hell.

You should live no other way but in the will of God. That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God (I Peter 4:2). Peter went on to say in that same chapter, Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well-doing, as unto a faithful Creator (I Peter 4:19).

Most people think they have to take care of themselves first in order to have happiness. They may say, “You only live once, so live it up”; or “You have to fulfill your own dreams”; or “I have to watch out for myself first.” Those things are all wrong. Jesus said, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it (Mark 8:35).

Jesus did not seek His own will but the Father’s, and that is why He had so much confidence in all that He did. Jesus said, I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me (John 5:30).

When you seek to do the Father’s will, you will be able to walk, talk and act like Jesus; and you must seek to do that. When you are facing a problem and you don’t know what to do, stop and ask yourself, “What would Jesus do? What would Jesus say?” That is what I have always done, and I always get the right answers. Jesus has never failed me yet, and He won’t fail you. When you are in step with Jesus, you will always be all right.

Jesus did the will of God from His heart, and so must you. It won’t work any other way. Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart (Ephesians 6:6). People look at the outside of a person, and they do not know what is in the person's heart; but God looks at the heart.

For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7).

If your heart is right, you will live right, dress right, talk right and act right; and you will do everything with the dignity of God’s love and grace. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10).

Man Cannot Discern Spiritual Things

If you are a child of God, the Holy Spirit will intercede for you and lead you in the right way; but He will only do that according to the will of God. He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:27).

The Holy Spirit will never detour from God’s divine will; so if you yield to the Holy Ghost and walk as He directs you to, you will have no trouble doing God’s divine will and seeing plain paths for your feet. Thou wilt shew me the path of life (Psalm 16:11). While other people are walking around blindly, you can be walking in the light of God’s holiness.

It is only through the Holy Ghost that we are quickened, and He will give us answers and make us strong in the Lord. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).

Always remember that the will of man never has and never will bring about the spiritual things of God. The Word itself came about only by the will of God. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:21). The Bible was written as holy men wrote down what God gave them through the Holy Ghost.

Divinity bears witness of spiritual things here on Earth. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the [Holy] Spirit, and the water [of life], and the [divine] blood: and these three agree in one (I John 5:8). That water of life comes from Heaven; and Jesus said, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38).

That living water is flowing into our innermost beings today, and we must pour it out to people as we tell them about Jesus and the eternal life He brought. We have just as much eternal life now as we will when we get to Heaven. You can’t add to something that is eternal because there is no end to it.

Nothing but the Will of God

Time is so short now that nothing should matter to you but doing the divine will of God. Those who do it will abide forever with the Lord and never die. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever (I John 2:17).

God knows how evil this world is, and it is His will to deliver us out of it one day. Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Galatians 1:4,5). We must live in God’s glory every day until Jesus comes.

You are of great worth to God, a peculiar treasure, when you do His divine will. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people (Exodus 19:5). The Lord gave that promise to the Jewish people, and it still holds true for us today.

Keep doing the will of God no matter what comes your way, and it will be worth it all very soon. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise (Hebrews 10:35,36).

You have to first do the will of God, and then you wait for Him to fulfill the promise you need at that time according to His will. If you get impatient and give up waiting on God, you will be the loser because the promise will become void. Jesus promised He would come again, but we have to patiently wait for that promise to be fulfilled. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry (Hebrews 10:37).

Jesus promised that when the work is done, the end will come. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). The Gospel has to be preached with signs, wonders, miracles and healings. Miracles draw people to God.

Be Not Conformed

When you do the will of God, you are proving it. That means you are demonstrating the truth and reality of it, making it manifest and yielding to it. The only way to prove the perfect will of God is to be transformed. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).

To be transformed means to make a dramatic or drastic change, and that brings forth the evidence that will prove the perfect will of God. Those who are never transformed and instead choose to conform to this world cannot prove what God’s will is to themselves or to anyone else because no one can prove the perfect will of God without living in it.

To conform means to act in accordance with prevailing standards or customs; and when you conform to the world, you follow and respect socially accepted standards that are all wrong in the eyes of God. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:18,20).

The Lord let us know that awful things would come in the last days, and those things are here. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:1-5).

Those in the world declare, “Accept everything.” They want everyone to make allowance for religions and standards that are contrary to the Word of God, and they want all people to accept same-sex marriages when God does not accept them. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet (Romans 1:26,27).

Same-sex marriage is strictly of the devil, and those who are involved in such things will never see Heaven unless they change. You cannot endorse same-sex relationships or allow such couples in your home no matter who they are. If you do, you too will miss Heaven because God does not endorse such things.

Be a Divine Light

If you think you have to conform to the world to win those who are in the world, you are badly mistaken. That is the deceit of Lucifer because a conforming, so-called Christian certainly does not demonstrate what a godly life really is. Joining others in their darkness does not let God’s light shine. Isaiah the prophet wrote, If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them (Isaiah 8:20).

Only people who come out of darkness into the divine light and then let that light shine through them are living in the image of God and doing His will. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:7-10).

Jesus said, This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his [or her] deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God (John 3:19-21).

What kind of an example are you to a sinner if you conform to his way? You are no example at all because your life is no different from his. You are living a life dead to the power of the Lord, and that certainly is not doing God’s will.

The Bible says, Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:12,13).

Be Ye Transformed

God wants His children to live a sinless life and to show others it can be done. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:11,12,14). You must allow grace to take over your life, and that will bring a transformed life free of sin.

A transformed life is a brand-new, regenerated life. The old life and anything that is contrary to the Word of God are gone. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature [a new creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). You must take on the image of God.

You have to experience the power of God’s grace and be transformed into newness of life. That like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). There is no better way to show forth God’s will than to be a living, walking testament of it.

It is God’s will for people to live a holy, transformed life so they can show others what a glorious life it is. You may profess to be a Christian who is walking in the will of God, and others may talk about how godly you appear to live; but you cannot truly prove the reality of what God can do for people unless you are living a transformed life. Man’s holiness is not true holiness, and there is no transformation that goes along with it. People claim it will get them into Heaven, but it will take them straight to hell.

You Must Separate

Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). You have to be careful in associating with people who are of the world because God is against them, and enemies of God will hinder you from doing God’s will and lead you down the wrong path. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils (I Corinthians 10:21).

The Bible tells us to come out from among the world and be separate. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (II Corinthians 6:17,18). Jesus came to make us sons and daughters of God, so we should be very happy.

You cannot be concerned about what others think of you. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night (Psalm 1:1,2).

When you are saved, the Bible says, Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16).

You must live a life that is holy and acceptable unto the Lord. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). It is just our reasonable service for us to be living sacrifices to God in our bodies and in our minds. Many people say it can’t be done, but that is idle talk; and idle talk is the devil’s language. Jesus said, (Matthew 12:36).

We must talk and act as holy as God is. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:14-16). A holy conversation is the only kind of conversation God will have with you.

True joy does not come from the world but from God. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full (John 15:11).

Prove Yourself

It is not the hearers of the Word who are living in the will of God but those who are partakers and doers of it. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass [mirror]: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:22-25).

You must know in whom you believe, and you cannot be deceived in how you are living. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word [which is the will of God for man], then are ye my disciples indeed (John 8:31).

The Bible tells you to examine yourself. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates (II Corinthians 13:5)? Notice the verse says to examine yourself, not somebody else.

Paul said, But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another (Galatians 6:4). It won’t hinder you if someone you know backslides when you have confidence in your walk with God and in the work you are doing for Him.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good (I Thessalonians 5:21). If you hold fast to that which is good rather than to that which is bad, you will be a changed person and ready to meet Jesus. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ [when Jesus returns] (Philippians 1:9,10).

Pray and Fast

No one can live in the perfect will of God without these three steps—prayer, fasting and living in the Word. Jesus said, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Prayer and fasting will lead you into the will of God and into the deepness of Him.

Paul taught people about prayer saying, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Supplication means praying in humility with tears.

Paul also said, Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2). You can’t let people or the devil keep you from prayer. You must have a burden for souls, and your heart must cry out for lost humanity. You must also pray and have compassion for your brothers and sisters in Christ, and we all must help carry each other’s burdens.

When the burdens are too heavy, we must teach people to pray and turn them over to the Lord and let Him take care of them. Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). The only burden the Lord wants us to carry is the burden for the lost.

The second step is fasting. Jesus fasted, and He is our example. And when he [Jesus] had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred (Matthew 4:2). Jesus’ disciples also fasted but not until after He had ascended back to Heaven. When the disciples of John asked Jesus why His disciples did not fast, He said, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom [Jesus] is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast (Matthew 9:15).

The great Apostle Paul knew the importance of fasting; and he said that he was in fastings often (II Corinthians 11:27). He also said, Give yourselves to fasting and prayer (I Corinthians 7:5).

Live in the Word

The third step is living in the Word. Jesus was the Word made flesh, and He came to dwell among men. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). That Word will live forever. But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (I Peter 1:25).

Jesus knew that people would have to live in the Word and let nothing choke it out of their lives. In the parable of the sower He said, And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful [in your life] (Mark 4:18,19).

Jesus used the Word to get rid of the devil when Satan was tormenting Him. But he [Jesus] answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

The Word must be first in your life, and the Bride will study it. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). As you study the Word, the Holy Ghost will guide you through it because He is the great teacher. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

Paul knew that the Word would edify people; and he said, Now, brethren, I [Paul] commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified [are holy] (Acts 20:32).

God Must Be First

Jesus came and brought the better things in life for all God’s children who walk in His will, and His table is loaded night and day. The Bride is not trying to get by in this life by spending as little time as possible with the Lord and doing as little as she can for Him. She is running after her Groom crying, Draw me, we will run after thee (Song of Solomon 1:4). She is also saying like her Lord, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

The closer the Bride gets to meeting her Groom, the more she wants to prepare and make ready for that day; but she is not thinking only of herself and her loved ones. She is going forth to win lost souls and to do the things that please her Lord. When Jesus was on Earth, He said, For I do always those things that please him [His Father] (John 8:29).

This is a crucial hour in which we must always please the Father. The laborers in the end-time harvest field are few, so we must be true servants of the Lord and work side by side with Him to bring in the harvest. Then saith he [Jesus] unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest (Matthew 9:37,38).

The Bride is always seeking to learn more about her Lord and to do more for Him. She is leaning on the Holy Ghost to purify her, guide her and lead her into all truth. Although she has liberty to do many things in this life, she is careful as to what and how much she allows herself to do because she does not want to weaken herself; and she does not want her actions to cause others to stumble in the Lord.

Paul said it this way: All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient [necessary to give him an advantage in the Lord]: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any (I Corinthians 6:12). When Paul said, “All things are lawful to me,” he did not mean it was lawful to sin. He was talking about things the Bible does not condemn.

Paul did not want anything other than the work of the Lord to take too much of his time or affections. Paul knew it was lawful to go without spending quality time with Jesus, but he also knew it was not edifying. He wanted to give as much of his time to the Lord and helping souls as he possibly could. Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved(I Corinthians 10:33).

Use Your Time for God

Jesus said, Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged [overfilled] with surfeiting [excess], and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares (Luke 21:34). Drunkenness does not necessarily mean drinking strong drink but being drunk, so to speak, on things that take up time you could be using for the Lord.

The works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21 are definitely not lawful, and you will go to hell for doing any one of them. However, there are many things members of the bridal company can do in this life that the Bible does not condemn, but you must decide whether or not they will strengthen your walk with the Lord. When you are living in God’s will, you will choose to do things that will edify you and others in the Lord; and you will not abuse or overuse the things of the world. And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away (I Corinthians 7:31).

The Bride will not use her liberty in the Lord as a license to spend all kinds of time doing things just for pleasure that will not help build the Kingdom of God. Paul said, Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (II Corinthians 3:17). But he also said, Take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak (I Corinthians 8:9). You have to be very careful with your time.

Consider exercise as an example. It is all right to exercise and keep in good shape, but you cannot make it the most important thing in your life. Some people spend so much time building up their body, but they don’t build up their inner man. Your physical body is not being made ready for eternity; your spirit and soul are. Paul told Timothy, his son in the Lord, For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come (I Timothy 4:8).

God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost must always come first; and godliness is profitable for all things. That is why you must continually be growing in grace. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (II Peter 3:18). Notice that you do not grow into grace. You grow in God’s grace once you receive it through salvation.

Make Godly Choices

Do you make choices according to the will of God? For instance, it is all right to watch television; but what do you watch and how much? Do you let television take the place of time you should be spending in the prayer closet? Have you become so addicted to television that you find you can’t live without it, and you stay up all hours to watch it?

There are some things a Christian can watch on television, but there are also plenty of rotten things to watch if you are not careful. You have to watch the right things and then only watch them in moderation. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand (Philippians 4:5).

God will allow you to spend time with others, and it can even be edifying to fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ; but do you have to have people around you all the time? Are you satisfied to get away and be still in the presence of God? You must long to be in His presence. The Psalmist said, O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is (Psalm 63:1). My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God (Psalm 84:2). In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11).

In the presence of the Lord is where you will find the mind of Christ and the will of God. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God (I Peter 4:1,2).

How Do You Spend Your Time?

Do you spend too much time on the Internet, and do you look at the wrong things? Are you addicted to the games you can play on it? Some of those games are rotten, and they cause you to deal with the wrong kinds of people.

Social media and smartphones can be dangerous, too. Constant communications through social media sites and texting can get you into trouble. Do you look at things people post or read texts that are not edifying? You must never look at things of the devil or read his texts.

Perhaps it is not what you are looking at or reading but how much time you spend doing it. Texting others too much takes away from time spent with God, and you must choose to be with Him. The Bible says, Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah (Psalm 4:4). Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). You must be contented to be still before God and to bathe in His anointing just like you would bathe your body in sunshine. His anointing brings such great edification.

When you live in God’s divine will, you will want nothing to mar your born-new image in the eyes of the Lord. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness (Psalm 17:15).

You must want to be exactly like Jesus, and you must set your affections on what pleases Him. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Jesus said, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it (Matthew 16:25).

You must always seek to be what God wants you to be. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass [mirror] the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the [Holy] Spirit of the Lord (II Corinthians 3:18). Whenever you open the Bible, you can always see God’s glory. The Word is God’s mirror for all people because you will see yourself in it if you really want to.

Live Pure and Holy

When you walk in God’s will, you will not be entangled with the affairs of this life. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24). You must be a good witness and a good soldier for the Lord no matter where you are or what you are doing. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (II Timothy 2:4).

The Bible describes the Bride saying, Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (Song of Solomon 6:10)? You should never face the morning with your head hanging down. You must get out of bed saying, “Praise the Lord! It is another Jesus day!”

The Bride will keep herself pure and untouched by the world. Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure (I John 3:3). Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). You purify yourself with the Word of the living God, which has all power and will never die. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever (Isaiah 40:8).

You can keep yourself pure by thinking the right thoughts. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). You can always shoot down a bad thought with a good thought of God.

In God’s will, you will work out your salvation with godly fear and without trying to justify any compromises. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Godly fear is not the devil’s fear because his fear is destructive. Godly fear is honor and reverence in the presence of God, and it lets you know God is with you and that you are pleasing Him in all things.

Pleasing God includes trusting Him; and the Bible says, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). The Psalmist said, I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust (Psalm 91:2).

Accept God’s Will for Your Soul

Doing the will of God must be the most important thing in your life. If it is not, you won’t make it to Heaven; and this life on Earth will be really short compared to eternity.

To have the perfect will of God in your life, you must first make the journey to the foot of the Cross and meet with Jesus Christ; and then you can always go back there at any time. Whenever something is troubling you or you need wisdom and knowledge about a matter, journey to the foot of the Cross. I have made that journey so many times, and I wait there for God’s answers. There is always room for one more at the foot of the Cross.

If you are not doing God’s divine will today, you have to change. You may think you have a lot of time left, but you don’t; and you could be cut off at any time. If you don’t have Jesus in your heart and you were to die right now, you would not go to Heaven. The Lord would not receive you because not a speck of sin will get through the gates of Glory.

Jesus came to Earth to take away our sins, and that is God’s will for every person. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father (Galatians 1:3,4).

Sinner and Backslider, pray the sinner’s prayer with me right now: Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me of my sins. I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home; and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!

If you accepted the Lord into your heart, you can say, “Hallelujah! He has come. Hallelujah! I am saved, and Jesus is mine.”

Accept God’s Will for Your Body

Now, you must believe it is God’s will to heal you. God gets no glory out of you being sick and afflicted, and He wants to make you whole; but you must serve Him. Jesus healed a man who had been crippled for thirty-eight years; and when He saw him later, He said, Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). What a warning that was, and it still holds true for all people today.

If you are sick and afflicted, decide you are going to get your miracle. God said, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? I am not the healer; Jesus is the healer. The gifts in my life are supernatural gifts operated by the Holy Spirit in the divine, blood name of Jesus.

You may have AIDS, leprosy, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble or any other affliction. You may need a triple bypass, but it doesn’t matter. God can make you whole just like He has done for others. Lord, I bring the people to you. I bring those with deadly diseases that man has no cure for, those with AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble and anything else that is afflicting their bodies. You have healed so many through this Jesus ministry, and you will do it again. Heal! in the all-powerful, divine, blood name of Jesus. Heal!

Let the healing power of God flow all through you. There is healing for the body just as there is for the soul, so decide it is done. Watch yourself or your loved one get well, and then write or email and tell me about what God has done for you.

Thus saith the Lord, the divine will of God is all that matters; and never forget that it is the will of God for you to be healed. Jesus said, With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Be careful to always give God all the glory for every blessing and miracle.

Receive the Holy Ghost

The Word is the perfect will of God for mankind; and it teaches the new birth, regeneration, sanctification and the baptism in the Holy Ghost. You must have the Holy Ghost to go when Jesus comes, and you must receive it as the disciples did on the Day of Pentecost—with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

So many people speak in tongues at will, but that is not the real Holy Ghost. God told me that speaking in tongues at will is of self, the devil or both mixed up together; and that is dangerous. The Holy Ghost is the one who must do the speaking, and then your body becomes His temple. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God (I Corinthians 6:19).
