After Adam and Eve sinned, God forced them to leave the Garden of Eden; and outside of Eden was where they had their first son, Cain. Sadly, he did not become a son to be proud of because he took on the same devilish spirit as the serpent that had deceived Eve—one of deceit, jealousy, envy, strife, violence and murder. He gave himself over completely to Satan through lust, and he loved everything but God. Abel [Cain’s brother] was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect (Genesis 4:2-5). God accepted Abel’s blood sacrifice, but He did not accept what Cain had offered. Cain had been told that his sacrifice was to have been a blood sacrifice, too; but Cain didn’t believe that just as people don’t believe in the blood of Jesus today.

The First Murder

When God rejected Cain’s sacrifice, he was insulted and got mad at God. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted [by God]? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door (Genesis 4:6,7). If you don’t please God, it’s because sin lies at the door; and Cain was full of sin. He allowed devils to take him over so completely that he committed the first murder and killed his own brother. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him (Genesis 4:8). Cain resented God, and he was jealous of Abel; but because he couldn’t kill God, he killed the one who was the most like God—Abel.

After the murder, Cain was so full of arrogance that he tried to deceive God; but no one can deceive God. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? And he [God] said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground (Genesis 4:9.10). Today, there are a lot of cries coming up from the ground of people who have been murdered; and God hears every one. God is aware of every person who has ever committed murder as well as all those who have murder in their hearts.

God was very angry with Cain; and He cursed him saying, And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear (Genesis 4:11-13). At the White Throne Judgment, there will be many people screaming the same thing; but they’ll have to accept God’s final judgment and penalty—death for all eternity. The Bible says, For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Cain continued, Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid…And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD (Genesis 4:14,16). Cain was rejected; and when he left God, I’m sure he never found Him again because he had blasphemed against the Holy Ghost.

Every imagination of Cain’s heart was evil all the time, and you can see and hear people all around you who are like that today—they speak nothing but the devil’s language. Even those in government who should be setting good examples use bad words and filthy talk about sex, and news commentators are even worse. This world is well on its way to rot and ruin, full of disobedience, arrogance and unbelief toward God; and that’s the spirit of the Antichrist.

The Judgment of the Flood

Cain’s devilish spirit spread and took over so many multitudes of people that by the time Noah came along, God had decided to destroy the whole civilization. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:7,8). Of all the people on Earth at that time, only Noah and the seven souls in his family had remained true to God; so the Lord instructed Noah to build an ark to save their lives from the Great Flood He was going to send upon the Earth.

After the Flood was over, God thought He had finally gotten rid of all sin and disobedience; and He promised never to destroy the Earth with water again. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh (Genesis 9:12-15).

No matter how big or how real God’s promises are, there are people who refuse to believe them. The Lord said there would never be another flood to cover the whole Earth, but the people didn’t listen to Him or believe Him; and the spirit of Cain started taking control all over again.

God Separated People

The devil makes people do ridiculous things; and in that day, the people decided they would build a tower to Heaven. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth (Genesis 11:4). The people doubted God’s protection, and doubt breeds fear which destroys people’s lives and souls.

The people began building the tower of Babel in what was later known as the city of Babylon; and out of that city came astrology, fortunetelling, sorcery and many other darknesses of the devil. God warned that anyone taking part in such things would be destroyed by fire. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame (Isaiah 47:13,14). Do you listen to any of these devilish people? If so, you’ll be with them when they’re destroyed.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city (Genesis 11:5-8).

The Lord revealed to me that it was at the same time that He made people different colors and gave them different languages. When they could no longer understand one another, it created such a cloud of confusion that they separated; and the Lord scattered them throughout the whole Earth. God’s judgment brought about the many nations we have today, and that has caused so much trouble and so many wars.

The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

People not getting along is what brought about the separation of Abraham and Lot. And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle…And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me…Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom (Genesis 13:7-9,11,12).

Lot ended up living in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah where the people were filled with the sins of Cain. When God had put up with enough of their sinful ways, He sent two angels—representing the Holy Ghost and the Word—to bring Lot’s family out before He destroyed the cities. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city (Genesis 19:15).

Lot tried to convince his sons-in-law to escape with them, but they just mocked him. So Lot, his wife and their two daughters fled and were told not to look back; but his wife didn’t listen. As the cities were being destroyed, his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26).

Lot’s wife was arrogant, heady and high-minded just as many people are today who pay no attention to God. Even the judgment fire falling on Sodom and Gomorrah didn’t get rid of the devil’s spirit and the sins of Cain, and they continued down through the years. God is about to move again with great judgments, and they’re already starting in the form of terrible natural disasters. When people forget God, they’re in trouble. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31).

They Sold Their Own Brother

Joseph’s brothers had the spirit of the devil in them—a deceiving, jealous spirit—and they sold their own brother into slavery. Joseph was the first son of Jacob’s beloved wife, Rachel, who had died. Jacob loved Joseph so much that he had made a special coat of many colors for him, and his brothers were jealous.

Joseph’s brothers didn’t want their father to know what they had done, so they deceived him into thinking Joseph had died. And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood; And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father…And he knew it, and said, It is my son’s coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces. And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days (Genesis 37:31-34).

Joseph had been taken to Egypt where he endured much. The devil’s spirit was in his master’s wife; and one day when she tried to seduce him, he turned and fled so quickly that he left his cloak behind. Joseph wouldn’t compromise for her, and she was angry; so she lied to her husband saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out. And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison (Genesis 39:17-20).

Joseph spent a long time in prison for something he didn’t do, but the Lord was with him. Eventually, he was redeemed and put in the position of being second in power over the great kingdom of Egypt, and that enabled him to save his people from starvation. God had a plan for Joseph’s life, and He wouldn’t let the devil destroy it.

Joseph lived a life more like Jesus than any other Old Testament character, and he didn’t allow his position of power to destroy him as it had many others. He had the greatness of God and the blood, and he never carried a grudge against his brothers for selling him into slavery.

Beware of Deceit

Jacob’s mother, Rebekah, had the spirit of Cain; and she convinced Jacob to steal his brother Esau’s birthright. Rebekah made a plan to deceive Isaac, who had become blind in his old age, by killing a goat and putting the hair from it on Jacob’s arms. Then she sent him to his father who said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him (Genesis 27:22,23). God had already promised the birthright to Jacob; but Rebekah got ahead of God, and Jacob received the blessing through deceit.

That same spirit of the devil, the spirit of Antichrist, is possessing people throughout the whole world today; and it comes out in everything they do and say. Always be aware that whatever is inside of you comes out in your voice, and that includes sin and sickness. Through God’s gift of discerning, I know what’s wrong with people and whether or not they’re saved just by having them speak to me.

Because there are now many more unsaved people on Earth than there are saved people, the world is on the verge of total calamity. When the Bride is taken out at Rapture time, all hell will be turned loose; and the Earth will fall completely into the hands of the devil. God has everything planned, and He’s warned people again and again. Many think they’re so intelligent when they say, “I don’t believe the Bible is the Word of God”; but they’ll believe it when they die and lift up their eyes in hell. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations [all people] that forget God (Psalm 9:17).

People will learn too late, just as King Belshazzar did, that just one thread of life keeps them out of eternity. God told Belshazzar, The God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified. Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain (Daniel 5:23,27,30).

God told me one time that He can hate as much as He can love. That was an astounding thought because I know how much God can love; but if people won’t accept that great love, there’s no other love that can save them. They will be lost for all eternity.

Moses, a Man of God

When Moses was born, Pharaoh declared that all Hebrew baby boys must be killed; but God saved little Moses. He was God’s holy seed, and God was going to use him to lead His people out of Egypt. It took God forty years to make Moses into the man He needed him to be, but His work was finally finished at the burning bush. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him [Moses] in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground (Exodus 3:2-5). The fire of the Holy Ghost completely changed Moses.

Through the divine blood, Moses became a great man of God; and the spirit of Cain could not take him over. He was filled with divine strength, power, humility and obedience; and God performed many miracles through him to bring the Israelites out of bondage. After they were freed, God used Moses to separate the waters of the Red Sea so the people could go across on dry ground. And with the blast of thy [God’s] nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea (Exodus 15:8).

Pharaoh’s great army was filled with the devil’s spirit, and they pursued the Israelites and followed them right into the Red Sea; but God protected His people and drowned the entire Egyptian army. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea (Exodus 14:27).

God protected the Israelites in the wilderness with His pillar of fire at night, and the cloud of God’s presence led them by day. However, they didn’t keep that fire burning for them; so the cloud eventually left them because they were stubborn and disobedient, and many still wanted their idol gods. The Lord would have taken them into Canaan in about eleven days; but instead He waited for all those who were twenty and above to die, except for Caleb and Joshua, before He finally took them in.

The Kings Failed God

The Israelites’ disobedience continued even after they got to Canaan. They had seen all of God’s judgments, but they still went back to the same things their forefathers had done—worshiping Baal and many other idol gods. This proves that people don’t learn through judgments when they have the devil’s spirit and love the sins of Cain.

Soon, they wanted a king like other nations even though that wasn’t God’s plan for them. Samuel wept before God over their request; but God told him, They have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them (I Samuel 8:7). Things would have been so different if they had let God be their king because nearly all of their earthly kings had the spirit of the devil.

King Saul was chosen by God, and he had everything going for him until he took on the spirit of the devil and the sins of Cain. Devils tormented him so much that he would have awful fits of rage. He lied and was disobedient; and at one point, he stooped so low as to seek help from a witch. Saul was such a failure, and he eventually committed suicide and went to hell.

King Ahab was wicked through and through; and his wife, Jezebel, was like a devil in the flesh. There was no good in either one of them; so God destroyed all of Ahab’s sons, and He made the dogs eat Jezebel’s body after she was killed. And they went to bury her [Jezebel]: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. Wherefore they came again, and told him [Jehu]. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel (II Kings 9:35,36).

David was a man after God’s own heart. As a youngster, he slew a bear and a lion; and when he was about thirteen, he killed the giant Goliath. God made him king of Israel, but then he took on the spirit of the devil through lust and even murdered a man to cover up his sin. However, unlike many of the other kings, David bleached his bones in prayers and fastings until he finally got back to God.

The Failures Continued

David’s son Solomon took the throne after him, and God gave him such great wisdom and knowledge that people came from all over the world to take advantage of them; but even Solomon gave over to the sins of Cain. In his old age, he went after foreign flesh. But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites: Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods (I Kings 11:1,2).

The word of the Lord was true, and Solomon’s wives did turn him away from God. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father (I Kings 11:4). We have no record that Solomon ever got back to God, so I’m sure he allowed his lust for women to damn his soul.

The deceitful, devilish spirit of the serpent brings defeat and the judgments of God. Do you have any of that spirit in you? If you’re not moving toward God, you do. If you have even one willful sin in your heart, you’ll go to hell when you die because not one sin will get through the gates of Glory; they will open only to those who have the Spirit of the Man of Galilee, and that Spirit can only be found at Calvary.

If you love the world, the love of God is not in you. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John 2:15). Many young people today are so arrogant that they think they can hang on to the world and still make it to Heaven, but they’re deceived.

The Price of Arrogance

The deceitful spirit of the devil rose up when Jesus was born, claiming that He wasn’t born of the Virgin Mary and that He wasn’t the Son of God. At His trial, the people could have set Jesus free; but instead they cried, “Give us Barabbas and let Jesus be crucified! His blood be on us, and on our children (Matthew 27:25).” The Jewish people are still paying for that decision. Study everything they’ve been through and are still facing today.

Jesus taught the people truth; but some believed Him, and others did not. Jesus couldn’t perform any great miracles in His own hometown of Nazareth because of the people’s unbelief that came through the spirit of the devil. And he [Jesus] went out from thence, and came into his own country…And they were offended at him. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them (Mark 6:1,3,5).

After Jesus ascended back to Heaven and the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost, there was great unity in the Church. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common (Acts 4:32). However, the spirit of the devil was there, too; and it showed up in Ananias and Sapphira. They were hypocrites who thought they could cheat God and get away with it.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost…And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost (Acts 5:1-5,7-10). Ananias and Sapphira had lied before man and God, so the angel of the Lord killed them.

The Spirit of Murder Appears Again

King Herod was another one who had the spirit of the devil and the sins of Cain, and he was upset when he heard the news that a King of the Jews had been born in Bethlehem. When the three wise men asked him about Jesus, he said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also (Matthew 2:8). Herod was a liar and a deceiver, so God appeared to the wise men and told them to go back another way. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they [the wise men] departed into their own country another way (Matthew 2:12).

Herod went into a rage, and the same murdering spirit that had taken over Cain possessed Herod. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men (Matthew 2:16).

But the Lord had warned Joseph to flee with his family into Egypt. And when they [the wise men] were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him (Matthew 2:13).

When God wants to protect somebody, the devil won’t be able to touch that person; so when you have God on your side, you have nothing to fear. Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7). Don’t be one of the many Christians who live in fear. God must be your high tower; and Jesus must be your Savior, your first love, your Lily in the valley, your Bright and Morning Star and the Rose of Sharon that blooms on the mountain peaks.

Boast Not of Tomorrow

Many people think that they don’t have to obey God, and they boast about all of the things they’re going to do; but the Bible says we have no promise of tomorrow. Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth (Proverbs 27:1).

Many who have boasted about tomorrow have found that tomorrow never came for them on this Earth. They lifted up their eyes in hell just like the rich man did. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments (Luke 16:19-23).

Lazarus was at the rich man’s gate; but it was the same as if Jesus had been there saying, “I was hungry and naked, and I came to you and you wouldn’t even feed me or clothe me.” Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me (Matthew 25:40). The rich man had the spirit of the devil, and he was so arrogant that he wouldn’t even give a beggar the crumbs that fell from his table; but when he died, he became a beggar in hell forevermore.

Paul Overcame the Devil’s Spirit

Those who stoned Stephen were full of the spirit of Cain; and Saul, who later became the great Apostle Paul, was there to watch it all. He wanted Stephen to die, and he looked after the men’s cloaks while they killed him. And [they] cast him [Stephen] out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul (Acts 7:58).

Stephen was full of the Spirit of God; and he died saying, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God…Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (Acts 7:56,60). As vicious men were stoning Stephen, he was praying for them; and when he died, he lifted up his eyes before the throne of God. That scene is what I believe brought Saul to God. He probably woke up many nights in a cold sweat hearing Stephen cry, “I see Jesus!” I’m sure he could never get away from that.

Shortly after Stephen’s death, the Lord knocked Saul down on the road to Damascus. And as he [Saul] journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do (Acts 9:3-6)? When Saul arose, he was blind; but he no longer had the devilish spirit of Cain but rather the godly spirit of Abel.

Then God sent Ananias, a man of God, to tell him, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized (Acts 9:17,18). Paul started preaching Christ right away, and he became a great apostle.

God used Paul to give King Agrippa a chance to accept Christ, and Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian (Acts 26:28). That’s sad because almost isn’t good enough. King Agrippa had heard the greatest teacher next to Jesus Christ, and the way to Heaven was right in front of him. Paul could have taught him so much about Jesus and the blood; but like people today, he didn’t want to hear about the blood or holy living.

Paul also gave Felix the perfect opportunity to overcome the devil’s spirit; and he was under such conviction when Paul spoke to him that he trembled, but he sent Paul away saying, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee (Acts 24:25). Felix was so close to salvation, but he turned away. The devil had deceived him, and he never had another chance to hear Paul. That’s so sad because he has now been in hell for many years. Felix could have overcome the spirit of the devil by yielding to the Spirit of God and so can anyone else who really wants to—that’s why Jesus came.

Paul Warns of This Hour

After many years of suffering and sacrifice for the sake of Christ, Paul was imprisoned and about to face death on Nero’s chop block; but before he died, he wrote two great letters to Timothy, whom Paul considered to be his son in the Lord. Timothy had been faithful to the cause of Christ, so Paul wanted to encourage him and warn him of things to come.

Paul described our day perfectly when he said, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:3,4). So many preachers today just tickle people’s ears with a social gospel, but it doesn’t get into their souls. Why?—because people don’t want to hear about the judgments of God.

Divine love includes judgment and strict discipline, and the Lord said that those who won’t accept His discipline are not His children. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons (Hebrews 12:7,8).

So many today are not children of God because they’re ruled by the spirit of the devil and the sins of Cain. Paul told Timothy, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (II Timothy 3:1). Perilous times are dangerous times, and things can’t get much more dangerous than they are now. Your children aren’t safe in school anymore, and you can’t allow them out of your sight because they could be kidnapped and killed.

Paul continued, For men shall be lovers of their own selves… And today, so many people think only about themselves. Even in hell, the rich man remained selfish. He wanted the Lord to send Lazarus back to Earth to warn his brothers about hell, but he didn’t care about warning anyone else.

Covetous… Today, men covet other men’s wives, and women lust after other women’s husbands. Marriage is no longer sacred, and people live together in sin just like they did before the Flood.

Boasters, proud… People have so much false pride; and they boast about their money, houses and lands. They boast about who they think they are when who they really are is no one to boast about.

Blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy (II Timothy 3:2). Many children don’t have a chance today because there’s no God in their homes. I don’t know where I’d be today if my mother and dad had not respected Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or had never taken us to Sunday school so our minds could be cultivated with the riches of Heaven. Thank God, I was taught His love and His Word which says, And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 3:15).

You won’t find the Bible in the hearts of many young people today; but you will find murder, and some even kill their own parents. That’s the spirit of the devil; and because of that spirit, many parents have absolutely no control over their children. The kids rule the roost, and many tell their parents what to do. Even in television commercials, you see children telling their parents what they want and even what car to buy. It may appear to be cute, but it’s all a part of the antichrist spirit.

Paul’s Warnings Continue

Paul goes on in this letter to say that people will be without natural affection… People may know where their pets are but not where their kids are. Many parents don’t care about their kids like they should, and they don’t protect them from the devil. That’s why so many kids drink, use drugs, shack up with others and satisfy every lust of the flesh. Kids are in a terrible condition today.

Trucebreakers… In the past, a handshake was all that was needed to make a deal or an agreement with someone; but you can’t trust people today. They’ll lie when they’re looking right at you.

False accusers… Those who are full of the devil will really accuse God’s people. In homes where only one mate lives for the Lord, the other one is always accusing that person of one thing or another.

Incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good (II Timothy 3:3). Those who don’t live for God despise those who do, and some people have a mate who despises them because they go to a church filled with God’s truth and power. The truth gets into people whether they want it to or not, and it will cause them to go one way or the other.

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God (II Timothy 3:4). You can see people who are like that every day. Sunday used to be a day when families went to church; but now people are more interested in ball games, and some will even pay thousands of dollars for tickets. They have lost all reasoning, and they’re lovers of pleasure.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:5). You must turn away from those who deny the power, signs, wonders and miracles of God. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts (II Timothy 3:6). Thus saith the Lord, this is the most lustful age since the people were destroyed by the Flood.

No Sin in Heaven

The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4). That’s the Word, and God doesn’t lie. Let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:4). When Jesus came, He said, Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3). But the devil’s spirit of deceit in the serpent says, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4,5). After Eve ate the fruit, she carried that serpent spirit to Adam saying, “See, Adam, God didn’t tell us the truth. I’m not dead; I’m wise now, and I know good from evil.” That was plain deceit, and Adam listened.

Those who teach that you can’t live free from sin are actually disputing the Bible, and all those who come against the Word have no truth in them; and that same serpent spirit is deceiving people today more than ever before. Paul told Timothy that in the last days evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (II Timothy 3:13). People think they’re all right no matter what they do, and many think that all religions will take them to Heaven; but that’s a lie of the devil. Jesus is the only way. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10:1).

Those who don’t meet the conditions that God has written in His Word will never make it through the gates of Glory. Instead, they’ll go through the wide gate that Jesus warned us about. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14).

The strait gate is right here on Earth—it’s the gate of Calvary—and you can only go through it by being blood-washed and blood-bought. Then you will have the Spirit of God that was in Abel—a spirit that brings justification, sanctification, holiness and the purity of God. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). The spirit of the devil will never accept the love, peace, wisdom and knowledge of God that come with true salvation.

Sin Brings Destruction

You have to be bold enough to stand for Jesus Christ in this last hour. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11). He is our rock of salvation and our life. He said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus didn’t only bring life; He brought abundant life, but so many people will never have that life now or for all eternity because they’ve accepted the spirit of the devil and the sins of Cain.

There are so many people who are full of the devil that God had to enlarge hell to make room for all those who will go there. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure (Isaiah 5:14). Many people don’t even know that verse is in the Bible, but they’ll soon find out when they arrive in hell. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41).

Jesus came so we could get rid of the devil’s spirit. He told the people in the Sermon on the Mount, Every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:26,27). Most people today are building upon the sand; but when the storms come, their houses fall and are destroyed.

Jesus taught people how to live without sin and to be perfect in His sight, and He told them that His Father would be their Father, too. He taught them to pray saying, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name (Matthew 6:9).

Only Truth Can Make You Holy

Ministers and teachers of the Gospel today who claim no one can live free from sin still think they’re holy men and women of God, but how can you be holy and contaminated by the devil at the same time? The Bible says, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8).

You can identify those who are really of God by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them (Matthew 7:16-18,20). You can identify an orange tree or an apple tree by its fruit, and that’s the way the world recognizes true children of God—by the fruit they bear. They don’t get involved with the various entertainments of the world, and they don’t have any of the devil’s spirit. God’s grace and sin will not mix.

Abel had the truth of God, and he believed all that God said; but Cain did not. People who have that same devilish spirit of Cain today don’t believe God either. Many so-called Christians and preachers fight miracles and healings and even claim they’re of the devil, but that’s blasphemous. And in this hour, saith the Lord, they will blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, and God’s Spirit will never strive with them again.

You can’t take a stand against God and get away with it. Jesus said there’s no forgiveness for the sin of blasphemy. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:31,32). Those who blaspheme may think they’re really someone important, but they’re nobody without God.

God Must Have Your Heart

Divine life doesn’t come just by keeping God’s commandments; you must give Him your whole heart. Read the story of the rich, young ruler. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions (Matthew 19:16,17,20-22).

The rich, young ruler came to Jesus pretending to have the spirit of Abel, but Jesus recognized his true spirit of the devil and told him that he would have to conquer his love of riches. He didn’t want to do that, so he went away in great sorrow; and he’s probably in hell today.

People are so foolish to allow worldly things to send them to hell. Demas was one who chose the world; and Paul said, Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world (II Timothy 4:10). There are so many worldly Christians today, and the world church is much bigger than the Jesus Church; but it has no real truth, power, regeneration or sanctification. Truth can only be found in the hearts of born-again believers.

Flesh Always Fails

Paul told the Galatians about the seventeen works of the flesh, and they can be seen all around us today. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). All of these works come from the spirit of the devil, and they branch out to cover every sin ever committed. If you endorse any of the works of the flesh, you will have no part in the Lord’s Kingdom.

Judas was so full of the flesh and the spirit of the devil that he sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. He was a thief who loved money, and he proved it when that hissing spirit of the serpent caused him to betray Jesus and give Him the kiss of death. He said, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him (Matthew 26:48,49).

Peter definitely had the wrong spirit when he cut off a man’s ear. Then he became insulted when Jesus picked up the ear and put it back on. And he [Jesus] touched his ear, and healed him (Luke 22:51). The spirit of the devil had to have taken over those soldiers in the Garden of Gethsemane or they would have fallen down and worshiped Jesus when they saw that miracle. We’re not to use physical swords but rather the Word of God and divine love.

The Lord tells us in I Corinthians 13 that without divine love, we’re just like the walking dead. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not [love] charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:1,2).

Thomas didn’t have divine love, and he was such a disappointment with all of his doubting and pouting. After Christ’s crucifixion, he wanted nothing more to do with Jesus and said, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25).

Thomas stayed home and pouted for eight days and nights until he finally showed up to meet with the disciples…and guess who walked in right through the closed door?—Jesus. Suddenly, doubting Thomas became believing Thomas; and he cried, My Lord and my God (John 20:28). Then the Lord said to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing (John 20:27).

Don’t Follow the Devil

When God rises up, anything can happen if you’ll only believe; but I’ve touched people who have claimed to have Jesus in their hearts only to find there was really no God there. It was as if I had touched a dead tree or a rock, and none of the Spirit of God went into them because they didn’t really want the Spirit of God—they were content with the spirit of the devil.

The devil may be the prince of the air now; but in the Tribulation Period, he’ll be cast down to the Earth never to rise up again. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (Revelation 12:9,10).

In the end, the devil will be cast into the pits of hell forever. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

Accept God’s Spirit

Those who have any of the spirit of the devil in them will be in the lake of fire with him; so if you have any of the spirit of Cain in you today, you must get rid of it and be born again. Lift up your hands and pray with me: Oh, God, I am so lost! I have the spirit of Cain and the devil, but I want the Spirit of Christ. Lord, you said that if I’d confess my sins, you would forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I’m confessing my sins right now, and I’m so sorry that I sinned against you. I’ve come home, and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! Jesus is mine, and I’ll never go back into the night. I’m going to live in the light with Jesus so Heaven will be mine one day.

Receive a Miracle

Jesus brought healing for soul, mind and body; so you who are sick and afflicted can be made whole. He even healed sinners when He was here; but He told them, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). Jesus will heal you today; but He has to have all the praise, honor and glory.

You can have a miracle for AIDS, leprosy, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble or a stroke; and I’ve seen many stroke victims instantly made whole. No affliction is too big for God. Lord, here they are; show forth your glory. Heal them now and make them whole. Heal those with chronic diseases that medical science has no cure for. Lord, the good doctors have done all they can do, but it hasn’t been enough. I curse those diseases. In the blood name of Jesus, heal!

With Jesus’ blood stripes, you will be healed just as the Bible says. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Faith in God heals the sick, so don’t doubt. Prayer changes people, so get well and watch your children get well. Babies who were born deformed will become normal just as other children have been healed through God’s miracle power.

Remember, Jesus is soon coming for His Bride, and He will take her to Heaven on the one flight out. We must be full of the Holy Spirit and free from all of the sins of Cain. We must be as holy as Jesus Himself and doing His divine will daily. Use the great anointing from Heaven all the time, knowing that the anointing breaks all of the yokes. I’ll see you in the Rapture. God bless.
