And Jesus came and spake unto them [the disciples], saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). God is the one who gave Jesus all power. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen (Matthew 6:13).

Jesus has power to forgive sins. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (Matthew 9:6). If you don’t believe the blood of Jesus can wash away your sins, He is powerless to do so. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:16). He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18).

Jesus has power to heal the sick and to cast out devils. And they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them (Matthew 4:24). You must be able to say, “I believe in miracles because I believe in God”; and that is the only reason you need to give to anyone who questions you about miracles. Nevertheless, people tie the Lord’s hands through unbelief; and that makes Jesus, God and the Holy Ghost powerless to heal them.

Jesus never healed those who doubted Him or mocked His works. The Bible tells us that when Jesus was in Nazareth, he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58). But it was a different story with the multitude that followed Jesus by the Sea of Galilee because they believed. And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel (Matthew 15:30,31).

Jesus Gives Life

The Christ of all power cannot only heal you but also renew your youth. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5). He can add years to your life just as He did for King Hezekiah. He was told through the prophet Isaiah to set his house in order because he was going to die; but he turned his face to the wall and wept before God saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight (II Kings 20:3). If that had not been true, the Lord would have said so; but instead, He said, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. And I will add unto thy days fifteen years (II Kings 20:5,6).

When you walk in the will of God, you don’t have to worry about death because you will not die until the moment the Lord wants to take you home; but when you walk out of God’s will, you can die at any time.

The Lord has an appointed time for each of His children either to make the Rapture or to die ahead of time as a great witness for Him. It is wonderful when the saints of God go home ahead of us, and the Lord has let me know many times when a soul has arrived in Heaven. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15).

There are no shadows in the valley of death for children of God. Jesus became the bridge that spans the gulf sin made between Earth and Heaven; and with just one step, you can be on Heaven’s holy shore. The blood of Jesus has made us that close to Heaven, to the throne of God, to the promises of God and to the strength of God. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

Acknowledge Christ’s Works

If you are watching the works of Jesus only to find fault with them, then He is powerless to move for you. And they watched him [Jesus], whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him (Mark 3:2). A person with an accusing heart has no faith.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Any word in the English language that ends with “eth” means to continue on, so Jesus meant that the man had to keep believing or he would not receive.

When you see the works of Jesus and refuse to acknowledge they are of Him, you make Him powerless to work for you; but those mighty works will be a witness against you one day. Then began he [Jesus] to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you (Matthew 11:20-22). Jesus warned people of the consequences of their actions ahead of time, and that warning still stands today. People are being destroyed every day for their evil talk and works.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas [Jonah]; and, behold, a greater than Jonas [Jonah] is here (Matthew 12:41). The people of Nineveh repented when Jonah preached the truth to them, and God forgave them; but today, people feel no need to repent even though One who is greater than Jonah is here. They are making Christ powerless in their own lives, but they cannot make Him powerless in the lives of true children of God. People can have no power over you unless you allow them to, so you cannot listen to those who talk negative about the work of God.

If you want the praise of men more than the praise of God, the Lord is powerless to put His approval on you. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward (Matthew 6:5). For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12:43).

God hates a hypocrite, and there are a lot of hypocrites in the world today. But all their works they do for to be seen of men [not for God]: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments (Matthew 23:5). How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only (John 5:44)?

Make No Excuses

Jesus proclaimed, Come unto me (Matthew 11:28); but if you refuse that invitation, He is powerless to give you what you need. Jesus told of a man who had prepared a great supper and bid many to come, but he was powerless to feed those who refused his invitation. A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused (Luke 14:16-18). That was not a reason because the man had already bought the land, and it was not going anywhere. He just did not want to attend the supper.

And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused (Luke 14:19). That was an excuse because the man had already bought the oxen. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come (Luke 14:20). That was yet another excuse because the man was not trying to win the woman’s heart; he had already married her.

So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things [all of the excuses]. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges [the poorer sections], and compel them [with love] to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper (Luke 14:21-24).

People who make excuses usually have something to hide; so do not make excuses for failing to pray, fast or study the Word, or the Lord will pass you by.

God’s Will Is the Only Way

Christ has all power, but He cannot give eternal life to those who will not come to Him. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life (John 5:39). Many people think they have eternal life just because they live good lives and go to church every Sunday, but that is not true. There are many spiritually dead church members and preachers today who have made Christ powerless by not accepting the Bible truth.

Jesus spoke to such people saying, Ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another [speaking of the Antichrist] shall come in his own name, him ye will receive (John 5:40-43).

Jesus came to make us members of the family of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). We are to be joint-heirs with Him. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). We can inherit the same things Jesus does.

If you are truly a son or daughter of God, you will do His will. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother (Matthew 12:50). But if you want your will above God’s will, He becomes powerless to help you. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21).

Before starting a new venture or making an important decision, you must ask God what He wants. Jesus died for you, so you must never want to disappoint Him; and only when you obey Him will He direct your paths.

As a child of God, you are God’s property; you are not your own. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:19,20).

You must present yourself as a living sacrifice to God. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). I promised the Lord years ago that I would pay any price to take Jesus to the world, and I have never backed down.

Servants of God

As a true child of God, you are responsible to pay your tithes; but so many people make the Lord powerless in their lives because they will not do that. Not tithing is robbing God, and I have never robbed Him since the day He saved me. If I received a dollar, a dime of it belonged to the Lord because God said, The tenth [the tithe] shall be holy unto the LORD (Leviticus 27:32). I have never considered God’s tenth to be mine; and if you really love the Lord with your whole heart, you won’t consider it yours either.

Not tithing ties God’s hands in your life. He asked the Israelites, Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8). Their fertile land became desolate because they did not tithe. Spiritually speaking, we cannot let our lives become desolate today; the church of Jesus Christ must grow and be strong.

The church of Jesus Christ is not a building; it is the body of Christ, and the Lord makes each member to be a different part of that body. Now hath God set the members every one of them in the body [of Christ], as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular (I Corinthians 12:18-20,26,27).

If you get something in your physical eye, your whole body shuts down in sympathy until you get it out because the different parts of your body work together. Your little finger is just as important as your thumb or your index finger, and your hands are just as important as your feet. In the same way, every member of the body of Christ is equally important; so it should be easy for us to love one another.

Each member of the bridal company is very special, and Jesus said He is coming after those who are watching for Him. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them (Luke 12:37). Jesus told us in the Word about the definite signs of His soon return, and they are here; so we don’t have long. The devil will fight to keep you out of the Rapture and to keep you from winning souls, but never listen to Him.

Study the Word

Jesus always spoke the truth in simplicity, and He was the Word made flesh. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

The Bible tells us to study the Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). Many people who read God’s Word do not really study it; they just read it like they do any other book, magazine or newspaper. When you come across a verse you don’t understand, you should study it until you do. Search for references on the subject or go to where it is first mentioned in the Word of God, and that will shed more light on what God meant.

God wants you to understand His Word, but some have given up on that. Others get so many of their own opinions mixed in that they can no longer get the truth out of what they are studying. That is why you must listen to the preaching of a true man of God and be taught by the Holy Spirit.

The devil will try to steal God’s Word from you, but don’t let him. You should get in the habit of memorizing scriptures and keep reviewing them. If you really want to remember them, you will be amazed at how much the Lord will help you. You can even put yourself to sleep saying scriptures, and that works better than any sleeping pill because you will wake up feeling rested and refreshed.

Have you made the Lord powerless by not using the Word of God like you should? My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20,22). You can make God’s Word of no effect in your life. Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye (Mark 7:13).

God’s Grace Is Sufficient

You can also make the grace of God of no effect in your life; and that is why Paul said, I do not frustrate the grace of God [meaning to prevent it from accomplishing its purpose]: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain (Galatians 2:21). Without grace, Christ’s death would have been in vain.

Once you find God’s grace, you must grow in it; but beware of people who say you can grow into grace because they are not truly saved. They believe in eternal security, but that is really eternal damnation. There is no such thing as once in grace always in grace because the Bible says people can backslide. Jesus said, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62).

The Lord told Paul, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). When we are weak and we believe God is strong, that will perfect the strength of God that He flows into us. That is why Paul could say, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13).

Divine grace gives you all the favor of God you will ever need, and His strength will enable you to walk through every valley and climb every mountain; but you cannot always live on the mountaintops. You climb up there to take a look and to receive renewed strength, and then you take that strength with you into the valley of human needs. People in that valley have never looked to the Lord for salvation or been born new into the image of God, but they can be. And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (Colossians 3:10).

People need the strength of God’s grace, salvation, holiness and sanctification. They need the strength of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the ability to give themselves completely over to Him.

Reap the Harvest

God needs the Bride to work like never before to bring in the lost in this final hour, so you must learn everything you can about winning souls for Him. Memorize scriptures that you can use to help people who know nothing about the Bible and that will turn them to the Lord. They should not have to wait while you search through the Bible trying to find a scripture; you must know the verses you need.

You must know when to begin talking with a person and when to stop, or you could lose the person; and I have seen it happen. If you keep talking when a person is ready to say the sinners’ prayer, you may miss the opportunity you have to pray with them. Jesus prayed with people as soon as they were ready. He also did not wait until later because He knew that no one is promised tomorrow. Ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (James 4:14).

Even children of God are not promised tomorrow, but we know we have a calling from God and that He is depending on us to fulfill it. We are servants of God; and if we will serve Him with our whole heart, He will preserve us so we can help get the harvest in.

You must realize that you are on Earth to serve God and to share Him with others; therefore, you must act, talk and live like a servant of God just as Jesus did. Take time to know what Jesus would tell somebody. Why talk to a person if you don’t know what Jesus would say to them, and don’t depend on others to tell you what Jesus would say because He wants to tell you Himself. Jesus paid the price for us to be able to do that and for whosoever will to be able to come to Him. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Walk with the Lord

God does not want to be powerless in our lives, and we should not want Him to be powerless for us either. What He does want is for us to have great unity with Him and to do His will. When Jesus was here, He said, Not my will, but thine [the Father’s], be done (Luke 22:42).

Jesus came to make His Father our Father. He taught the disciples to pray saying, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name (Matthew 6:9). He came and died to make us members of the family of God, to be bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).

Jesus was nailed to a tree for you and me, but He not only died for us; He was resurrected and lives for us. In turn, we must let Him live in us. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). Do you feel Him living in you today? God tells us in His Word, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16).

God has all power, and He walks inside of us; so never say you can’t make it because you can. When you are being persecuted or going through hardships, think about what Jesus said: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10).

Daniel suffered great persecution, but he did not back down. He did not make the Lord powerless in his life or he never would have been able to cry from the lions’ den, O king, live forever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt (Daniel 6:21,22).

The Hebrew boys recognized the power of Christ when they were thrown into the fiery furnace, and He actually joined them there. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:24,25). The grace of God gave the Hebrew boys great favor, and the Lord included their story in the Bible so we could see that they had victory.

Take On the Mind of Christ

Jesus gives us all the encouragement and strength we need, and He will anoint your mind to remember things that will help you. The devil will try to scare you by making you think your mind is going bad or that you cannot do anything about a problem you may be having, but Jesus can always help you. He can make you into a brand-new creature, so you have nothing to worry about.

The Bible says that we can have the same mind that Jesus had. But we have the mind of Christ (I Corinthians 2:16). Then the Lord moved on Peter to write that if we do not have all of the things that were in Christ’s mind, we can add them. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity [love] (II Peter 1:5-7).

In the beginning, Adam and Eve had that divine mind; and God told them that if they went to the tree of death they would lose it, but they did not believe Him. At first, God was not hindered with the man and woman He had made; but then they gave over to the powers of the devil and sold everything to him—their souls, their bodies and their lives. Since that time, most people have hindered God more than they have helped Him; and that is why He needs us to help Him make miracles and to bring people into the Kingdom.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, helped Him make the first miracle when He turned the water into wine. She told the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2:5). That is the formula I have always lived by, and it works. If you will keep the tree of life, Jesus, in your mind and not listen to the devil, you will be able to help God; and you will be all right.

Work for the Lord

A person’s walk with God begins when they are born again and made a new creature in Christ Jesus. They take on a new and living way. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). As a new creature, you should be nothing but a blessing to the Kingdom of God, to lost humanity and to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I want to do all I can for Jesus because whether you realize it or not, we don’t have long. The Bible says, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). Jesus said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

You have to make good use of your time here on Earth and fill it up with the greatness of God every day. When you come to the end of each day, never close your eyes until you ask the Lord, “Did I do everything you wanted done today? Did I touch every soul I could have? Did I speak to people like you would have spoken to them, and did I work with them like you would have worked with them? Did I take time with people or did I hurry past them?” We are to be the Lord’s feet, eyes and hands; and He is looking for devout, consecrated, dedicated workers who are full of the Holy Ghost and just like Jesus.

Do you seek to be just like Jesus, or do you make your own decisions instead of depending on God? The Bible says, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). Trust is the first thing you must learn to do when you come to the Lord, and you hinder Him when you lean to your own understanding. Some people will buy a car or a home and then wonder if it was God’s will, but it is too late then. If you will please God daily, you will get His help daily; but are you in step with Jesus all the time or just part of the time?

Jesus knew that God had all power, and He did not hinder the Father. He did everything God told Him to do every day and every night; but are you seeking to be just like Jesus? Whenever I don’t know what to do or say, I ask myself, “What would Jesus do? What would Jesus say?” Then the Lord gives me what I need, and He will do the same for you. The Lord said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). The Lord wants to talk to us and have a real relationship with us, but it has to come through divinity.

Jesus wrote to seven churches through John the Revelator, and those letters are recorded in the book of Revelation. He told the first church about their wonderful works, but then He said, Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Revelation 2:4). “First love” is the love you receive at Calvary; and as long as you have that love, you will not hinder the Lord. However, if you lose it, you will become a hindrance; so you must keep that “first love” burning on the altar of your heart and soul because you cannot afford to hinder God in any way.

You must be full of God. Be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19). When you are full of God, you want to be alone with the Lord; and you never get tired of talking to Him or of Him talking to you.

Never Hinder God

Let me stress again that if you do not believe that Christ has all power, you make Him powerless in your life; and then you are a hindrance to God. Israel hindered God, and the Bible says that they limited the Holy One of Israel (Psalm 78:41). The Israelites tied God’s hands as far as Him being able to work for them.

God put many things into the hands of humanity, but so much of it has worked against Him. Do you hinder the Lord through a lack of love or by not using divine faith to help Him perform His miracles? Do you hinder souls from being brought into His Kingdom? Do you hinder God by not praying and fasting like you should? Jesus said, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

Your day should start and end with prayer; but do you always put God off saying, “I will pray tonight”? After a long day, you may be so tired and worn out that you can’t stay awake.

You must also fast just as Jesus did when He was here. The Bible tells us of how the Spirit led Him into the wilderness for His first forty days of fasting. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered (Matthew 4:1,2). I believe Jesus fasted many times, and you need the Holy Spirit to lead you to fast, too. And when you do, you must yield yourself completely to the Word. The Bible says, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

When you fast the Bible way before God, you can expect to receive much from Him; however, the devil can steal all you receive if you don’t use God’s protection. He becomes powerless to protect you when you fail to wear the whole armor of God. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). You can stop the devil’s fiery darts if you will use that shield of faith like you should. The helmet of salvation is the wisdom of God and the mind of Jesus that you must have.

Let the Holy Spirit Lead You

Only through the Holy Ghost can you walk with the Lord all the time; and if you don’t seek to receive Him, you are being disobedient. The Bible says that the Spirit is given to those who obey the Lord. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32).

Jesus is our example, and He received the Holy Ghost before He began His Earth ministry. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized [in water] of him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:13,16,17).

I follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit; He is my teacher. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things (John 14:26). He is my guide. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). He is perfect in all of His ways, and I find no fault in Him. You must put your life completely into the Spirit’s hands so He can use you as He wants to.

Only through the Holy Ghost can you have the nine fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance [or self-control] (Galatians 5:22,23). Many people are trying to serve God without having the spirit of self-control. You may say that you have a bad temper, but I did, too. However, the Lord did not take my temper away because He wanted me to use it on the devil. You have to get mad at Satan to be able to cast out his devils, and you have to stomp on him through faith. Use the blood on the devil, and he will run. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Receive the Tongue of Fire

Without the Holy Ghost, you will not make the Rapture; and you will also hinder some of your loved ones from making the one flight out. Eventually, you will realize what you have done, but then it will be too late. You may cry, “Come back, Jesus! Don’t leave me!” But you and those who listened to you will be left in the Tribulation Period, and He will not come back for any of you.

The Bride is about to be caught up to Heaven, so we should be the happiest people on Earth today. Calvary made it possible for us to have a direct line to Heaven through the born-again experience and the divine blood, and the Holy Ghost came to keep that line open. We have it made through the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross and the power of the Holy Ghost.

If you don’t have the Holy Ghost, don’t let the devil deceive you and keep you from seeking because you must receive Him. The first thing the Holy Ghost does when He baptizes you is take over your tongue and speak in another language without you having anything to do with it. As you praise the Lord with your whole heart, that praise will begin to fade out; and He will begin to speak. The more you yield, the more He will speak; and you will delight in hearing Him speak through you. And they [the disciples in the Upper Room] were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). Next to your salvation, that will be the greatest experience of your entire life.

The Lord told me that those who claim to be saved but will not seek the Holy Ghost are not really saved or they would be drawn to the Spirit. They would be hungering and thirsting for more of the righteousness of the Lord.

We all need that tongue of fire from On High to be able to do all that God wants us to do. At one time, Isaiah did not want to do what God wanted him to because he said that the children of Israel were rebellious and would not listen. But the Lord sent an angel to him with a coal of fire from the altar of God, the same fire of the burning bush that Moses experienced; and when that coal touched Isaiah’s lips, he said, “Here am I, Lord. Send me!” Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me (Isaiah 6:6-8).

Follow God’s Way

People in Noah’s day hindered God so much that He decided to destroy everybody on Earth except eight souls. It took Noah and his family 120 years to build the ark; and during that time, people had a choice, but no one ever asked Noah to pray for them. Even after Noah’s family and all the animals were on the ark, God waited for seven days before He closed and sealed the door. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in (Genesis 7:10,16).

Those were seven days of grace, and we are in a period of grace today, too; and the ark door of Jesus is open. He said, I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved (John 10:9). This period of grace will close with the Bride being taken out. The ark door will close, and people will be screaming and crying like they did in Noah’s day when the rains came and they knew they were going to drown. They beat on the ark door and pleaded for Noah to open it; but God had closed it, and Noah could not open it. That is why we have to bring in the souls from the East, the West, the North and the South. We have to pray for them night and day and be anointed so we can take love to them.

Study the Bible; and you will see that when God was not hindered and was able to use all of His power, He did great things. He always won through men and women who were yielded to Him. The great God of the universe has put Himself in a position where He needs you and me; and we are marked with His love, His power, His goodness and His mercy to bring in the lost.

Don’t make the Lord powerless in your life by running ahead of Him or lagging behind Him, and don’t rely on your own theories or listen to those of other people. You must listen to the Lord, believe Him and trust Him. The Lord told us seven different times in the book of Revelation, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). The word “hear” tells you that when you have the Holy Spirit, He will talk to you. He will give you revelations on all that Jesus brought and taught; and He will help you receive blessings, strength and power from On High.

If you don’t listen to what the Spirit is saying, you will listen to people and the devil; and they will keep your mind in such a state of confusion that the Spirit will not be able to give you what Heaven wants you to know. The Bible tells us that confusion is not of God. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (I Corinthians 14:33). Jesus had a mind of peace, and we must have that same mind. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).

The Lord will let you make all of your own decisions if that is what you want to do, but you will miss many of His blessings. People may say they are waiting upon the Lord; but if they really were, they would mount up like an eagle. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). You must be in God’s waiting room of love, grace, faith, patience, goodness, gentleness and kindness or you are not really waiting on Him.

I have heard people say, “The Lord doesn’t care about me”; but that is ridiculous because He loves us all! The problem is that some people will not let the Lord reveal His great, unending love to them, and that hinders Him.

Faith Brings Answered Prayer

Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord (James 1:6,7). Human faith wavers, but divine faith never does; and the Lord never rewards doubt.

If your faith wavers, never blame God for not answering your prayers because you are the one who has hindered Him. You may not have grumbled out loud; but you grumbled in your spirit thinking, “God must not love me because He didn’t answer my prayer.” For if they which are of the law [those who have not accepted God’s grace] be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect (Romans 4:14).

Peter used his faith when the disciples were caught out on the stormy sea; but when he doubted, he made his faith of no effect. He saw Jesus walking the waters toward the boat he was in; and he said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:28-31)?

Peter had stepped out of that boat so bravely through the holy power of God, and he had actually walked on the water until he hindered Jesus with doubt. Jesus always called human faith “little faith,” and little faith can only do small things; however, when people used big faith, God could do big things. Jesus told a centurion who had come to get healing for his beloved servant, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel (Luke 7:9). And that faith made the centurion’s servant well.

The devil seeks to rob you of your faith; and when he can do that, he makes you helpless and a hindrance to the Lord and to His outreach for souls. You become a hindrance to helping Jesus get people ready for the Rapture, and you hinder yourself from being ready, too. Then you are walking on thin ice, and you are liable to sink completely at any time.

You must know that you can call Heaven any time. And when you pray the right way through faith, both Jesus and the Holy Ghost make intercession to the Father for you; so you should have great faith in your prayers, knowing that we can call Heaven any time. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34). The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).

It is no wonder that Jesus said it was necessary for Him to go away because if He had not, the Holy Ghost would not have come. I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 16:7).

Blasphemy Is Deadly

We have all been given free choice, and that is a powerful thing; but one day, people will have no more free choice. Until that time, you cannot blame God for anything because the choices you make are up to you. You can choose to let Jesus be all-powerful for you, or you can choose to make Him the powerless Christ. When you are not getting answers to your prayers, you must go to the Word to see if you are doing anything that would tie God’s hands or if it is just the devil trying you.

When your time on Earth comes to an end, the choices you have made will determine your destiny—eternity with God or eternal damnation in hell. However, some people will lose their free choice before the end comes because of their continual abuse of the things of God and by making Christ and His words powerless. Those things will lead them to blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead.

It is deadly to blaspheme because there is no forgiveness in this world or in the world to come. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men…neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:31,32).

God is done forever with people who blaspheme, but they will never believe that until they face it; and at the White Throne Judgment of God, they will not be able to deny it. There will be no lawyers to defend them and no jury to decide their fate—God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost will be the judges. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:12,15).

You have to be very careful in this last hour because so many people have blasphemed, and they don’t know it. They are so self-righteous and ungodly that they think they can make their own decisions and say anything they please; and they can, but God will never hear their prayers.

Willful Sin Leads to Blasphemy

If you study the Bible, you will notice that blaspheming against the Holy Ghost was never mentioned until Christ came. Although some people in the Old Testament did blaspheme, it was not called blaspheming against the Holy Ghost at that time. Adam and Eve no doubt blasphemed; and there were others as well, so why was it not mentioned since it is such an ungodly thing? The reason is that there was no remedy for it until Jesus came. The Holy Ghost dispensation did not begin until after Jesus had come and died on Calvary and had been resurrected. His sacrifice is what made it all possible.

People do not have to sin. The Bible says, Awake to righteousness, and sin not (I Corinthians 15:34). It also says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4). But people still flirt with death. They will do whatever they want to no matter what the Bible says. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry (I Samuel 15:23).

People who are on the road to blaspheming against the Holy Ghost can reject God just so many times before they will take their last step and be doomed forever. There is no more hope for them, only hell. Whenever they reject one of the Lord’s invitations, they are taking another step towards blaspheming; and how many more steps do they have left? The Holy Ghost strives so hard with people when they have just one or two more steps to go, but they still have free choice.

You must live close to God so that you know when God is finished with people because He does not want us to waste prayer on them. Some may be your close relatives, but it does not matter if they have gone too far. You may want to help them, but it is impossible. When people blaspheme, neither God, Jesus nor the Holy Ghost can help them because they have taken that last devilish step to hell. God hates people from the moment they commit blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. They become like the devil himself, and God will never hear their prayers again.

Christ’s Power Saves Souls

We have to hurry and finish our work and be ready to go when Jesus comes. The world is going to be shocked when we are gone, and dead preachers will not know what to tell their congregations. They will probably just continue lying to their people about the truth. One evangelist said that God was going to leave him here to preach to people in the Tribulation Period, but that will not happen because he has already died.

People can stay here if they want to, but I am going with the Bride to be with Jesus. We will be changed in a twinkling of an eye. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52). That change will take place according to the power of the Holy Ghost that works within us. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).

Sinner, don’t you want to go with Jesus? The Lord has all power to save your soul, so stop hindering Him and come to Jesus. Say this prayer right now. Oh, God, I am so sorry I have sinned against you; but I have come home, and I will serve you for the rest of my life. I will not hinder you, Lord; I will live holy and be your child. I surrender all, and I believe you died for me because you love me. I know your divine blood will wash away all the guilt and shame of my sins. I believe the blood of Jesus saves me right now. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, He is yours; and the Bible says you have nothing to fear. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7).

Let God’s Miracle Power Work for You

Now, you can help the Lord make a miracle for you or a loved one. I am not the healer; Jesus is the healer, and I am just His witness. Lord, here they are. You told me when I began this great outreach to the world that you would heal the people; and since then, millions have been blessed throughout the Earth. You have healed all kinds of sicknesses and deadly diseases and even raised the dead, and you will do it for the people today. Lord, when you were here and you healed people, you made them whole of everything; so heal them of all diseases right now! Heal!

Now, watch yourself and your little ones get well. If you have AIDS, claim your miracle. Then send us your testimony along with your doctor’s documentation. We want the world to know what Jesus is doing.

Never hinder the Lord again or make Him powerless in your life. Turn Him loose and let Him work for you, and miracles will be yours.

God bless!
