The Bible warns of the seducing spirits in these latter times. In insidious ways seducing spirits disguise themselves, reveal the will of the devil, making people think it’s the will of God. The Bible says in I Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly [the adverb expressly means the thing will be plainly, definitely, especially brought to the surface or revealed, made known], that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith [the faith of God, the true Word of the living God is what this verse is speaking about], giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. When? In the latter times. These days we live in are the latter times.

Seducing spirits will come forth; it’s hard to tell how many billions have been turned loose on planet Earth for this last hour. In the sixties a great change for the worse took place in our nation and in other nations, too. Our nation has been different since then and never will be the same again.

Without Feeling

First Timothy 4:2, Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. In other words, those who give heed to seducing spirits are on the road to blaspheming against the Holy Spirit and becoming without feeling. Devils take over the human spirit to make people come to the place they are like demons who don’t care for the things of God, don’t care what they do or say against God. Because of their hate and arrogance, they think nothing of how much harm they do to anyone who believes in the truth of God.

Giving heed to seducing spirits: To seduce is to persuade one to disloyalty. Demons persuade people to be disloyal when it comes to the truth, to God, to His Spirit, His love, His grace. To every touch of God they are disloyal.

Guard Your Ears

Seducing spirits work through people. Just as the Holy Spirit works for good through people, seducing spirits work for destruction through people. Be careful; people can seduce you without your realizing what is happening to you. Guard what goes into your ears, what you hear. Listen to the truth; listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying and turn away from anything against the Spirit whether it’s on television, radio, or coming out of a person’s mouth. If they come across on the telephone, hang up. If it’s on the street or in a store, turn your back and go the other way. If the spirit of seduction is in a magazine you pick up, get rid of it. There are things in some magazines and writings that can seduce you. Don’t think you can’t be seduced through magazines, pictures, television, or movies; you can, you can, you can. It will happen in such a sly, slimy, serpent-like way that you’ll be seduced before you realize it. Seduction is a dangerous thing.

If you spend time with worldly opinions, you’ll be seduced, for those opinions will get into your spirit. The Lord calls for separation. The Psalmist tells us to mark the perfect man, and behold the upright (Psalm 37:37).

The mission of seducing spirits is to take people from the truth into the false; in the minds of the seduced the false is the truth. The false is what they enjoy; telling that which is not true they delight in. Repeating falsehoods over and over until they believe the lies themselves, they are seduced. It’s a terrible hour in which we live. Seducing spirits have demonic influence, and billions of them have been turned loose on planet Earth. Therefore, you have to live in the blood, stay under the blood, depend on the blood and the Holy Spirit to remain in God’s truth.

The Devil Got Eve’s Attention

Adam, head of the human race, was given a helpmate. How long they lived in perfect peace in the Garden before the devil worked through that helpmate we don’t know.

Genesis 3:1-3, Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. The way the devil talked to Eve, he will talk to you. He talks to you through people as well as through his own voice. To get Eve’s attention, he struck up a conversation.

Genesis 3:4,5, And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Seducing spirits lie, making you think you won’t be in trouble for going against the Word of God. People with seducing spirits can convince you that you’ll be better off to listen to what they’re telling you, what they’re saying to you. They can become quite friendly.

Genesis 3:6, And when the woman [Eve] saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Adam was seduced through Eve: Look at me, Adam: I’ve eaten part of this fruit and I’m very much alive! Already I’m seeing things differently, hearing things differently. Why, Adam, I’m hearing things I’ve never heard; I have peace and joy that I never had before. It was false peace, false joy.

Down through the ages people have been deceived; it all started in the Garden of Eden, and the devil has never let up.

The serpent had become quite a buddy to Eve. I don’t know how long it took him to get a listening ear; I’m sure she didn’t pay him any attention in the beginning; she feared God too much to listen at first.

The fear of God in our hearts makes us want the truth and only the truth, gives the desire to stay free from deceit through the truth of God. We don’t want to listen to anyone or anything outside God’s truth. Some people may start talking to you, and you’ll feel a weight, a pressure. That’s a signal from God for you to say, I don’t want to hear this. Tell me something about Jesus.

When a person is telling the right things, that one is blessing you, edifying you. God’s people must stand together in this final hour—the way the Early Church did in the beginning—so we can encourage and bless each other. Not having gossip in our midst, unclean talk, negative talk, we must speak the words the Spirit wants to hear.

Had Adam stood for God, stood for truth instead of letting his mate influence him, it would have been a different story; the curse wouldn’t have fallen on the human race. If he had separated from Eve, his own companion, he would have been saved; but he didn’t. If you keep listening to people who are against your walk with the Lord—no matter if they are in your own family—those demons will seduce you. The devil’s plan of seduction is right here in the beginning of the Word of God; take heed to it.

Everything I preach to you, I back up with the Holy Scriptures. You can be seduced by those you love the most—Adam was. Jesus warned us of the stand we would have to take for Him: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household (Matthew 10:34-36). To set at variance means to quarrel or dispute, to disagree. In the Early Church period, people were put to death because members of their own families testified against them.

Seducing Spirits Deceive with Half-Truths

Seducing devils tell half-truths to seduce, and they influence people they’ve seduced to tell other people half-truths. They’ll say: I know for a fact some of that scripture is right. Some is right? That isn’t good enough. This Bible is all right or it’s all wrong, it’s all true or it’s all false, it’s worthy of all respect or it’s worthy of all disrespect, so make up your mind. God is really the true God, Lord God Almighty, or else He’s false; you have to decide which He is. Jesus Christ is the true Savior of the world or He’s absolutely false. Jesus came saying, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). I am the light of the world (John 8:12). The Word of God is all truth.

The serpent spoke half-truths to Eve: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:5). The serpent contradicted what God had said: Ye shall not surely die (Genesis 3:4). Seducing spirits always deny the whole truth of God. Half-truths are worse than no truth at all; they are false, false, false.

Know the Truth

Against everything false Jesus came with the truth, saying, I am…the truth (John 14:6). Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Truth is the only thing that can separate you from the false, the only thing that can separate you from the fast-moving spirit of the Antichrist spreading over the face of the earth. Manifested everywhere in the world church, the spirit of the Antichrist has a strong hold. It’s tragic to hear of the false doctrine being taught in the name of the Lord. People are seduced by the false.

Matthew 10:37, He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Love no one more than you love the Lord. Abide in the truth, and with boldness stand up against the false. Don’t let people talk the false to you, I repeat, the negative, any gossip or that which is unclean; you don’t need that filth.

Matthew 10:38, And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. The Cross is pure truth; if you don’t take the truth, you’re not worthy of the Lord. Carry the truth: the truth of His love, the truth of His saving grace, the truth of His sanctifying power, the truth of His baptism of the Holy Ghost and the truth of peace, goodness, mercy, forgiveness, and longsuffering. If you don’t carry the Cross of truth, then you carry the false.

A true child of God carries the truth. Those who are in bondage envy you. They fake happiness: Oh, I’m so happy! they say. But you can tell it is a foreign spirit, a forceful spirit, and not the humble Spirit of Jesus the lowly Nazarene who came and walked the earth. We must discern that false love and that so-called grace which is really a disgrace.

Matthew 10:39, He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. If you seek to save your life, you’re not willing to pay the price, not willing to sacrifice for the sake of Christ. You say, Oh, I can’t hurt any member of my family! Well, Jesus had to hurt the Father, and the Father had to hurt the Son to bring about the New Covenant. We can’t imagine the incredible suffering the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit experienced in order for us to have what we have today and for us to be able to know we’re on our way to Heaven. It all came through the blood.

A Whole Nation Seduced

In Old Testament days the devil seduced the whole nation of Israel. God had brought them out of Egyptian bondage with a mighty hand, with signs, wonders, miracles and healings. The Lord separated the waters of the Red Sea for them; but at Sinai when God came down, they turned away. They said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die (Exodus 20:19). Their loving God wasn’t going to hurt them; seducing demons of fear made them think they were going to be destroyed. The Israelites were seduced while Moses was up on the Mount getting the Ten Commandments, the truth. Never let the devil seduce you no matter what is going on around you. Be alert; know the truth.

Israel had the opportunity to know the truth about God. In fact, God didn’t start out from Egypt with them until they knew the truth. Through Moses, He gave them truth concerning Himself. Now they crossed the Red Sea, saw the fulfillment of God’s promises. Pharaoh’s army was drowned, covered up by the waters that had opened for the Israelite people. But the same waters closed on the false, on those who were not in the Lord and they were destroyed. Had Israel kept that one truth of the closing of the Red Sea over their enemies, it would have sufficed; but they didn’t do it.

Although the Israelites didn’t intend to be seduced, they were seduced with time, with impatience. When Moses didn’t come down from the Mount right away, the people began to talk doubt and fear. They started to think about an idol god, the golden calf which many of them had worshiped, no doubt, when they were in Egypt. Soon they were seduced into calling for an idol god, forgetting how the Lord had spoiled the Egyptians for them, given them the wealth of the land in jewelry and riches. Loaded down with gold and silver, they were on their way to Canaan with plenty—then they were seduced and lost it all.

Moses was on the Mount of God; the Israelites should have been singing, blessing, and praising God—and I’m sure that some of them were because God didn’t destroy all of them. Some of them held on to the truth and wanted to get away—probably did get away as much as they could—from the rebellious. A few didn’t want to be a part of making a golden calf; they knew it was against God. But that seducing spirit that had taken over Adam and Eve took over most of the Israelites.

They Didn’t Keep the Truth

For forty years the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, seduced. They could have been in Canaan in about eleven days had they been obedient. But seduction plagued them; the church in the wilderness was seduced. Because they gave in to seduction they were turned away from Canaan. When you turn your back on God, you turn your back on the fulfillment of the promises of God.

The only way you can be free and stay free from seducing spirits is through the blood of Jesus, the blood truth. The Psalmist said, Thy word [the truth] have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). You must have truth and keep it. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, but if He can’t get the truth into your heart, He can’t use it for you or through you. He can only use what’s in your soul to do you any good. He has to work outside of you, of course, to get you saved; but salvation is meant to get the truth inside of you. When the Holy Spirit gets the truth inside, then He has something to work with. Keep the truth in your heart, recognize it.

Satan Tried to Seduce Jesus

The first Adam was seduced, and when the Second Adam, Jesus, came in human form, the devil didn’t give up. If the devil tried to seduce Christ, he will try it on anyone. If he tried to destroy Jesus, he’ll try to destroy you. Adam and Eve were perfect, yet the enemy seduced them; beware of his seduction.

Luke 4:3, And the devil said unto him [Jesus], If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Jesus had been fasting forty days and He was hungry. But He knew man wasn’t supposed to take orders from the devil. You don’t have to prove a thing to the devil; you’re in the wrong, grieving God’s Spirit if you try.

Luke 4:4, And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Jesus answered with the truth that destroyed Satan’s false statement. Oh, that Eve had done that! But she rejected what God had told her; how tragic that she didn’t say she believed only God and not the serpent’s lies! That’s what we have to do in this hour, believe only the pure Word of God. The manifestations of the spirit of Antichrist are around us daily, and our safety is in holding to the truth.

Luke 4:5, And the devil, taking him [Jesus] up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. The devil had power to show Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. The devil can operate time, too. There are a lot of things the devil can do that people think he can’t do.

Luke 4:6,7, And the devil said unto him [Jesus], All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Had Jesus listened to the devil like Eve did, He would have fallen down and worshiped the devil. He had become very man, and just that one disobedience would have destroyed all He had come to Earth to do. One time of eating the fruit cut off Adam and Eve from God; they didn’t have a second chance. Had Jesus fallen down to worship the devil that one time, everything would have been lost.

But what did Jesus say? And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Luke 4:8). Notice, Jesus always spoke the words of the Father. He was the Son of God, but He had become the Son of man and the success of His mission depended on how He used the Word.

Do Your Thoughts Agree with the Word?

The truth that Jesus spoke destroyed the false; the truth of God will always do that. The reason we have battles of the mind and difficulty getting away from them is that we won’t use the truth on what is false. The devil torments with the false, but the Holy Spirit of truth will discern and destroy the false if you allow Him to. When the things on your mind are not in keeping with the Word of God, they are false, not true.

Are you thinking the right things? Take your thoughts to Philippians, the fourth chapter, and compare them to the six things listed for you to think on. Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). If your thoughts don’t stand the Word test, then you know they’re false, you know it’s the devil that put those thoughts into your mind to torment you, to try to break you down. However, they are not in your soul if you are born again.

Jesus Didn’t Toy with Wrong Thoughts

Luke 4:9-11, And he [the devil] brought him [Jesus] to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. The devil is talking; this is a seducing devil telling a half-truth. The Lord does give protection, but you’re not to dare Him to do it, not to climb to the pinnacle of the temple to jump off, not to jump into the lions’ den or the fiery furnace of your own accord. The Lord taught the disciples that they would be protected, but all God’s promises are conditional; it’s the truth that protects you.

Luke 4:12, And Jesus answering said unto him [the devil], It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Truth destroyed every bit of the false; the false vanished instantly as far as Jesus was concerned. Jesus didn’t toy with the wrong thoughts, didn’t keep them in His Spirit or on His mind; He destroyed them with It is written.

Defeat the Devil with the Word

Can you destroy the false with It is written? Of course you can. Jesus as the Son of man, not as the Son of God, taught us how to defeat the devil with the Word. One of the greatest lessons the Lord brought while He was here on planet Earth many people have skipped over, haven’t taken seriously.

Luke 4:13, And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him [Jesus] for a season. Notice, the devil departed for only a season. He would come back and try another tactic. The devil will depart from you for a season, but unless you go through the gate of Glory, he’ll be back.

With the truth, Jesus, the Second Adam, stood the great test of the devil’s seduction. All the power of seduction that the devil could muster he used. He tried to work on ego; he tried to twist God’s Word. The devil tried a little bit of everything, but none of it worked because he was dealing with truth.

When the devil is dealing with God’s truth, he loses every time. And when you deal with the devil with God’s truth, you win every time. Don’t use what someone has said, or, I think this, or, I hope that; be very positive with: It is written! Know what is written in the Word of God and give the Word to the devil. Jesus told the devil three times what the Father had said, gave him the truth three different times, and the devil had to go. It was all done and over with, the battle was won—not only for Jesus, but for us as well.

Jesus came to fight for us; He came as a winner. He’d been a winner a trillion years and more in Heaven. He had been a winner with the Father when the devil was cast out of Heaven. The devil had been handled as far as Jesus was concerned, as far as the Godhead was concerned. But Jesus had taken on the weaknesses of the flesh, so He had to deal with the devil as a human being using no more power than we have to use: the power of God’s truth. Become acquainted with Jesus and He’ll introduce Himself as truth.

Simon Peter Was Seduced

Many of Christ’s followers were seduced. Christ, the Son of God, had told them: Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world (John 6:49-51). Those disciples had seen His wonderful miracles, and yet they gave in to seducing devils. How pathetic!

John 6:66, From that time many of his [Jesus’] disciples went back, and walked no more with him. You’ve seen people like that; the truth doesn’t go down well so they get disgruntled. We can’t let anyone or anything seduce us in this final hour; we can’t afford it, the hour is too late.

Even Simon Peter was seduced. He had walked the waters; God had used him to heal the sick. For a short time Jesus had given the Twelve power to use to heal the sick and to cast out devils. Jesus said that one devil can’t cast out another devil, so Simon had to have used that great power in the divine blood. But those devils, those seducing spirits got into him in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Had Simon stayed awake and prayed, he would have been all right. Let that be a lesson to all of us: We must stay awake in this hour, must be prayed up so we will not be taken in by seducing spirits.

Big Simon Peter—the Lord let him use His power, talked to him much. Simon traveled with Jesus, saw many miracles; Christ had instantly healed his mother-in-law one day. Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him [Jesus] of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them (Mark 1:30,31).

But now Simon was seduced in the Garden of Gethsemane, how pitiful! That makes one want to weep. The Lord had taught people to love their enemies, to pray for those who despitefully used them; read it in the Sermon on the Mount. But in that moment of seduction in Gethsemane, Simon Peter drew out his sword—it wasn’t the sword of love—and he cut off a man’s ear. He thought he’d done something wonderful, thought he was protecting Christ. Christ didn’t need to be protected. When Christ picked up that man’s ear and put it back on, He was using the sword of love. All the blood stopped; you couldn’t tell that Simon had cut the ear off, but he was seduced and bitterness took over.

Seduced through Hurt

Many good people have been seduced through bitterness, grudges and hurt. They got hurt about something or someone, maybe a preacher, a Sunday school teacher, or even someone correcting their children. Through that hurt they were seduced, and they carried that hurt; I’ve seen it happen down through the years. But love will heal the hurts if you turn them over to Jesus.

Words are easily misunderstood; we have to be very careful. Words can hurt people without your realizing it. I’ve hurt people when I didn’t mean to at all, and I was shocked when I found out they were hurt. Nothing had been in my spirit to hurt them. If you want to hurt someone, you have that in your spirit. I carry a healing spirit, that’s the love Spirit of the Lord to heal.

Simon shouldn’t have been hurt; the Lord was guiding him into something great and wonderful. But for the moment he was hurt. He had been asleep in Gethsemane; he wasn’t prayed up. He woke suddenly, feeling so grouchy he cut a man’s ear off. Simon regretted that later; he wept bitterly, the Bible tells us. The Lord forgave Simon, and he went on to be a great soldier of the Kingdom.

The Holy Spirit Fell

After the Resurrection Jesus told the disciples they were to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). It is a necessity to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit because in that baptism is allotted to you much of the discerning of the Spirit of the Lord.

Simon Peter was not seduced at Pentecost. He stood there in the love of God and told the whole truth, preached a wonderful message; and three thousand souls came to the Lord. Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:14-21). It was a great message.

An Hour of Seduction

There’s never been such an hour of seduction as the one we live in. The Bible describes these latter times: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:1-5). Seducing spirits have been turned loose upon the face of the earth; be aware, I say again, or they will beguile you, deceive you.

You stand alone when it comes to accepting the truth. Your heart must not be joined to anyone else’s heart who will not stand in the whole truth of the Bible. To keep from being seduced, you need the truth on the inside of your heart, not just outside.

People Accused Jesus

If you want to learn more about seduction, study how people turned against Christ when He was here. He healed the people, gave sight to the blind and yet many despised Him for it because they were seduced by the devil. All some of them could think of was: He’s breaking the Law! He’s healing on the Sabbath!

Have you ever stopped to think about the seduction that took place the whole time of Christ’s ministry here on Earth? From the time Jesus began His ministry, the devil seduced many concerning Jesus, with the exception of about a hundred and twenty who went to the Upper Room.

Jesus delivered a crippled man who hadn’t walked in thirty-eight years, told him to take up his bed and walk, but the Jews said it wasn’t lawful. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed (John 5:5-10).

Truth was telling them if they’d only believe, all things were possible: Their sick and afflicted could be healed, their loved ones delivered. It was grace, but certain Jews said it wasn’t lawful.

Loved Ones Hindered

Today as well many have hindered their loved ones from being free because the devil seduced them into talking against the miracle power of God. They talked against the miracle truth, against Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Redeemer. They talked against the divine blood, the divine love, the divine peace, the divine joy, and the divine greatness that Jesus brought.

Some have been so seduced that they wouldn’t even give God a chance to heal them; they’d rather have died than ask for a miracle, rather a loved one had died than to bring that one to get a miracle. Maybe they were seduced in a church that teaches against healing; they listened to that which is false. When people preach and teach against miracles today, they preach and teach the false; and others are seduced through the lack of miracles; the truth isn’t confirmed. The truth must be confirmed. The disciples preached the truth and God confirmed it with miracles and healings, signs and wonders.

In this last hour you must know the truth, see the truth confirmed over and over. Be ready to accept the truth when it’s confirmed, decide it is real. God is doing this; God is confirming what is being preached. I preach the truth; I am bold with the truth and the Lord confirms it. God will do what He said He would do.

The devil can’t seduce you as long as you stay open to the truth. No matter how much the devil criticizes, how much he tries to defeat you, truth has set you free. Dwelling in truth, you know God wouldn’t confirm a lie, and you know when the truth is preached, the Lord honors it with signs and wonders, with His mighty works.

Believe for the Works’ Sake

Jesus told the people to believe for the works’ sake. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:11,12). The miracles and healings in my services are the Father’s works; I do His works.

Jesus said, These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils (Mark 16:17). If you don’t discern that a devil is in a person, then you won’t be able to cast it out. Those evil spirits, those demonic spirits work so cunningly undercover that they deceive many. People with seducing spirits can make others think they are of God. They tell lies with such boldness that if you didn’t know better, you would believe what they are saying.

The enemy worked on John the Baptist when he was in prison, and John wanted to know if Jesus really were the Christ. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me (Matthew 11:2-6).

Jesus didn’t send word that He was the Christ; He told John’s disciples to tell him what they were seeing: The blind received their sight, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke and the cripples were made to walk. Those were the works of God. Isn’t it wonderful indeed to have the works of God and His truth!

Your Unrepented Sins Will Send You to Hell

Like the many disciples who turned back, turned away from truth, people are turning away from truth in this final hour. The enemy beguiles them into thinking they don’t really have to be born again, don’t have to do all that repentant weeping and crying. They’re seduced and think they’re all right, that everyone is going to Heaven, that God wouldn’t send anyone to hell. No, God wouldn’t, but your sins will send you there.

The rich man was seduced and as a result, he lifted up his eyes in hell. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence (Luke 16:19-26).

There’s no seduction in hell, no seduction in the lake of fire. The truth will face the devils, demons, and all who go there; they can’t get away from truth.

An Unforgivable Sin

People couldn’t say Jesus didn’t cast out devils; they just didn’t give God credit. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow [Jesus] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house (Matthew 12:24-29). Binding those devils and casting them out of those houses of clay was exactly what Jesus was doing.

Seduced or not seduced you’re held responsible for your attitudes, your actions concerning the truth that has been brought to you. The Lord doesn’t forgive you for mishandling the truth if you refuse to repent.

Jesus went on to say, He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad (Matthew 12:30). To be with Jesus is to be with the truth. People are seduced into thinking they’re with Jesus when they’re not. They don’t talk like Him, they don’t love like Him, they don’t act like Him, and they don’t forgive like Him. You’re not with truth if you’re not using it.

You can be seduced into thinking you’re all right because you know Scripture; you can know the truth and not be in truth. You can know truth in your mind, but truth has to be used in the heart for it to work.

Matthew 12:31, Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. When people criticize the power of God or His miracles in any form, it’s the Spirit of God they are criticizing.

Matthew 12:32, And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. By calling the Holy Spirit the devil, people blaspheme. Jesus, the Son of man in the flesh, was right there in their presence. Looking no farther than that human form, they criticized Him.

People think they can continue to criticize Jesus today. No, they can’t; it’s the same as criticizing the Holy Ghost. The Lord said He was the truth and He said the Holy Ghost was the Spirit of truth. People can talk about you, but if you have the Holy Spirit and you’re performing the works of God, they’re calling the Holy Ghost a devil and that’s blasphemy.

Jesus is very definite, very plain; and He goes on to say, But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:36,37). When people say the wrong things, just idle words, they condemn themselves, condemn their own soul to everlasting judgment. It’s tragic when people won’t heed the Word of God.

Five hundred saw Jesus at one time after He was resurrected, and the demons of seduction made the majority of them believe a lie, made them believe that Jesus was not really the Christ. They heard Him speak, I’m sure, saw the nail prints in His hands, but they were seduced.

Grieve Not the Spirit

The Bible says, Grieve not the holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30). Coming together in one mind and one accord like the Early Church, we will not grieve the Spirit. Because of their unity in Christ for the first thirty-three years the Church was not seduced. Divine love, divine grace, divine glory, and divine truth caused them to separate from friends and from members of their own families who would have broken that holy unity. Read the glory of it in the Acts of the Apostles, read the love there. Just two people told one lie each that we have record of, that’s the only sin in the Church we find; God killed them on the spot to keep the Church pure. That judgment put fear in others and for the rest of the thirty-three years there was no more judgment in the Church. But after thirty-three years we read in the Pauline Epistles that the Church began to lose its fire.

Paul Wrote about Seduction

Paul knew the Law to the letter, had been taught by the greatest minds of his day and he held a high seat in the court of his people. He hadn’t believed that Christ was the Son of God, but he came out of that seduction; he met the truth: Jesus. Paul accepted the truth and was set free.

It doesn’t matter what position you hold: What you hold through the truth is what counts. Many people are seduced into thinking if they give enough to God, Heaven will surely be theirs. No, if they make it to Heaven they will be rewarded for their works, but only through the blood of Jesus’ forgiveness can Heaven be theirs. Divine blood is their only passport to Heaven.

In Romans, Paul begins shedding light on seduction, on the whisperers, the backbiters, the disobedient and so forth. To Timothy he writes about seduction in the last days for the Church, about the seducing spirits, seducing devils that were coming. This Timothy took seriously.

Paul wrote again and again about seducing spirits in the midst of the body of Christ. The Lord made strong statements through him as he warned against the sins, the works of the flesh.

Don’t Lose Your Place with the Lord

Now in the final hour the devil is doing all he can to seduce every one of God’s people that he can possibly seduce—and don’t think he isn’t working on you. If you lose your place in the Lord in this last hour, I don’t believe you’ll ever find it again because the hour is so late now. You’ll look for your place, and it will be gone forever. The Lord has given you a place; the Lord has called you to His place. The Lord gave the Israelites a place, a road to Canaan paved with His love, His tender care through His hands of supply, but the devil seduced them and they did not make it.

The Early Church avoided seduction by being pure and clean and by doing the work of God; they evangelized the known world in thirty-three years. But then ego took over. Finally, under Constantine, kings and rulers alike began to endorse the Gospel, and it became a popular thing. No longer was it a persecuted way, and no longer did they have that great love to bind them together. Persecution brings people together when they are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, moves them in closer to God.

Try the Spirits

John was a close disciple of the Lord, greatly loved by Him, and he received this from the Lord: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world (I John 4:1). How do you try the spirits? You try the spirits with the Word of God; take everything to the Word. If a person tells you something, take it to the Word of God. If it’s gossip or a half-truth, then you throw it aside because it is not pure. There are many spirits, but there is one true Holy Spirit.

Had Israel only tried the spirits…but they had been too mixed up, had given over too much to the false. They had let people seduce them.

Never let a voice get as loud as the Word in your spirit. Never let a voice get as loud as the truth in your life and you’ll be safe because that voice of truth will rise up to drown out that which is false. Get rid of clamor, the works of the flesh, and take on the fruit of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23).

Keep only the truth; stand against the false. Cling to the truth because the truth is the only thing with all the strength, all the protection you need. The truth has the preserving power for all eternity for your soul. Look for the truth in people. Do they show love? Do they have the fruit of the Spirit, the love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control? If they don’t have that fruit, be warned—it’s the truth that bears this fruit, truth produces this fruit.

If you have the truth in you, the Holy Spirit will produce the nine fruits of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit produces through truth only. Live the truth; be a believer and a vessel of the truth. When you’re a vessel of the truth, the Holy Spirit can produce His fruits. They’re not sent down from Heaven; that fruit is produced over and over in your life through the Holy Spirit that dwells within. You serve it and there’s more.

The disciples were given insight into the greatness of the Lord, but they couldn’t understand it all before they had the Holy Ghost. They were enlightened later about the nine fruits of the Spirit and the nine gifts of the Spirit. A tree would bear nothing but real fruits of the Spirit; there would be no false produced. Jesus said, Ye shall know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16), that’s knowing, not judging. The Bible says to judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).

Know the Tree by Its Fruit

Matthew 12:33-35, Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. All kinds of evil come out of some people—resentment, grudges, clamor, and deceit—yet they’re seduced into thinking they have a good heart. The Lord said a good heart produces only good things, good fruit. If words come out of your mouth that aren’t holy or righteous, then evil is in you: The tree is known by its fruit.

Even if you’ve never seen an orange tree, if a tree has oranges on it, you know it’s an orange tree. When you see a tree with apples on it, you know it’s an apple tree. The same with a pear tree; but if a tree doesn’t have fruit, it’s hard to tell what kind it is. On some fruit trees the leaves are similar so you wouldn’t be able to tell if you weren’t an expert. You know your trees by their fruit.

The Lord knows the ones who belong to Him. If He had no other way to know, He would know you by your fruit. If you’re His, you don’t produce evil fruit or false fruit; you produce only that which is true. You won’t produce anything that is a counterfeit, only that which is real—truth.

Love in Deed and Truth

The Bible tells of a people who love in word, but we’re told not just to love in word, but in deed and in truth. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth (I John 3:18). Many people say they love, but they don’t love in truth. If you love in truth you don’t want to destroy anyone who has the truth. You don’t want to kill truth anywhere; you’re for the truth. You don’t try to ruin people, don’t tell them something to hurt them, injure them, or cripple them in any way spiritually speaking. There are many spirits, but there is one true Holy Spirit.

If a person doesn’t care how many people he or she hurts, there are seducing spirits in that person. Eve didn’t care how much she hurt Adam; she was seduced.

Not handling everyone with truth leaves you open to the false. When you handle a child of God with truth, the truth in both of you matches, goes together. Handle everyone with truth, and if his or her spirit doesn’t match the Spirit of truth, then it is a false spirit. A false spirit can pretend; the devil can appear as an angel of light to seduce, seduce.

People Are Easily Deceived

How easily people are deceived today! One moment they’re serving God, and the next moment they’re walking away from Jesus. The enemy sweeps them into his arms of deceit. Imagine the seduction that will take place during the Tribulation Period: People who have been reared in Christian homes, godly homes, will miss the Rapture and be seduced into taking the mark of the Beast. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb (Revelation 14:9,10). Christians have been taught by truth that they can never get right with God if they take that mark, that they will be doomed for all eternity, become like a demon or the devil himself; yet they will be seduced. Taking the mark will be the popular thing, but those who take the mark will never have the Spirit of God strive with them again. No one can come to the Lord unless he or she is drawn by His Spirit.

Children of God, you must be careful in this final hour. It’s not going to get easier; it’s going to get worse. These seducing spirits will be so terrible and there will be so many of them on the face of the earth that the Lord said, If it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect (Matthew 24:24). It’s a fact that Adam and Eve were the very elect of God, and they were seduced. Look at all the love God gave Israel, and still they were seduced as a nation. Remember the Church of Jesus Christ, how pure, how strong, and how powerful for thirty-three years…until it was seduced.

Now the true Church is coming out of seduction. The Holy Spirit is being poured out; the light of the Spirit is shining on your path, and you must stay with God. Stay in God’s truth, stay in His word, stay in the place and the plan He has for you. Keep that “go ye” in your heart to take Jesus to the whole world in this final hour, and then you’ll be going home.

Prayer for Salvation and Healing

You who are unsaved today: What a chance you are taking! The enemy has seduced you into thinking you’re not going to die without God. He’s making you think you have a lot of time to live, but he’s a liar. You have no promise of tomorrow. Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth (Proverbs 27:1). This could be your final warning. I’ve had people to walk out of a service for the last time and plunge into eternity, unprepared to meet God. The devil can seduce people into thinking they’re all right when they have something in their lives that will carry their souls to hell. If you have any doubts about your salvation, pray the sinners’ prayer:

Oh, God, save my soul. I’m so sorry I have failed you. I disobeyed you, sinned against you. But I have come home, and I’m going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I confess that there is power in the blood of Jesus to wash away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!

If you meant that prayer He has come; if you meant it He is yours.

You who are sick and afflicted, or maybe that little one is afflicted: Let’s get a miracle. I’m not the healer. These gifts in my life are supernatural gifts and they work through the Holy Spirit Himself.

Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. Lay a healing hand on the sick and afflicted. From your supernatural gift of miracles, from your supernatural gifts of healing it comes. In the name of your Son Jesus, heal! In the name of the Lord, heal! In the holy, all-powerful name of Jesus, heal! That person who has cancer, that person with heart trouble, that person who has AIDS, that person who is paralyzed: Lord, deliver! And that little child who is afflicted: Set it free; make it well in the holy, holy name of Jesus. Amen.

Believe God’s miracle of healing with all your heart, nothing doubting. Watch while you get well or your loved one gets well, and then write and tell me about it.

The God of miracles lives today; recognize His power wherever you see it. Know His power and know His Spirit. He’s revealing Himself; yield to His Spirit before He turns away from you. These are the latter times, and many seducing spirits are at work. Don’t let them seduce you.
