Rivers of Living Water Flowed in Swaziland
by Maxine Young
October 2003
And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). Obedient to the command of taking Jesus to the world, we are on a divine mission, reaching into every nation we can with the full Gospel of Jesus Christ with signs, wonders, miracles and healings following. In March 2003, we returned to Swaziland for a second crusade. Many who had come out of darkness in the last crusade had been bringing others out of that same darkness, and we saw wonderful miracles and deliverances take place. We are living in the final hour, and we do not have much time left. God is fulfilling all His prophecies now, and rivers of living waters are flowing to the nations to show them the light. This divine mission that the Lord told Reverend Angley about so many years ago is the greatest hour we could ever hope to see. But the hour is late. If we fail, multitudes will die and drop into hell. With that knowledge before us we went back to Swaziland.
The Ministers’ Meeting
Reverend Angley opened the ministers’ meeting with the question, “Do you love the Lord better every day? If so,” the preacher continued, “He is making plain paths for your walk with Him. The Early Church started out pleasing God in every way, walking with Him in the Spirit. God wants no discord in the churches. That’s why God demands that we be free from sin.”
Running the Race
The sermon Reverend Angley preached to the ministers was “Running the Race.” It’s time to journey on with the Lord; there is no stopping place down here. “Refuel on the move,” advised the man of God. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:1,2).
“We are complete in Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,” the preacher said. “Jesus brought faith, furnished it, and all we have to do is use it. For the joy that was set before Jesus, the joy of salvation for all who would come to Him, He endured the Cross.
“We’re on a journey for the Lord; we have power from On High to travel the divine path set before us, and we must warn the people that the soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Ezekiel was told that if he didn’t warn the people, their blood would be on his hands; if they died in sin, he would be responsible. God is telling ministers the same thing today.
“All the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are here today,” Reverend Angley went on. “Every thought of so many hearts is filth. The churches that are dead today, not free from sin: Let them be warned: The soul that sinneth shall die.”
Are You out of Witchcraft?
“Are you out of witchcraft?” the preacher asked. “If any witchcraft is in you, no God is there. Have you preached against witchcraft, purged your church of it? If not, you don’t deserve to be the pastor. One missionary commented that when I said witchcraft was of the devil, I wasn’t talking about their kind. Of course I was! All witchcraft is of the devil and anything of the devil does not mix with the things of God.
“How many of you are free from witchcraft?” the preacher asked.
Hands were raised. If they were going to run the race, they must shun everything God disapproves of, but some were not free of witchcraft even though they had raised their hands. A message from the Holy Ghost in tongues and interpretation came, disclosing the condition of some who were there.
Thus saith the Lord: Some of you have lied to the Holy Ghost. You have grieved my Spirit. You know that you’re not free from witchcraft and other darkness. You cannot continue to lie to the Holy Ghost or you will commit sin that there is no forgiveness for. You will blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, and there is no forgiveness in this world or in the world to come. I know your heartbeat, and some of you, your heart is not in rhythm with my heartbeat. When you are born of my divine blood, you have the same heartbeat that the first man, Adam, had, the same heartbeat that the first woman, Eve, had. You must repent while there is yet time or I will remove the candlestick. The message of the Holy Ghost went on to say that the Lord had sent His servant to warn the people; some were not honoring God, not trusting Him. They had let the devil put fear in their life. The Holy Spirit said that some had held back in witchcraft, but if they would come out He would receive them. Then the chilling words came that there were those who were getting their last call. They would either repent or else God would never hear their prayers. They were on the devil’s territory, dangerous ground, but God had sent His prophet with the message to give them another chance. Many had repented last year, many were completely delivered, separated from the works of the devil; but some had not separated. They had grieved the Holy Spirit daily and soon would blaspheme. This is your time, the Lord told them; don’t pass it by.
“Stand up, honor your Lord,” said Reverend Angley. “Cleanse your churches. Do not tolerate witchcraft. People in witchcraft would not be allowed to dance and shout in my church. Every hand lifted; pour out your spirit before God. Many souls are at stake.”
God was getting into hearts in a marvelous way, in a deep way; and now the Holy Spirit gave a message of encouragement: I am here, saith the Lord: My Spirit prayeth for thee, saith the Lord. My Holy Spirit prayeth for thee. I love you; I chose you. You didn’t choose me; I chose you. I need you for the whole nation, your nation in this final hour. And through your obedience many will be turned to righteousness, and your nation will be blessed, saith the Lord.
Thursday’s Service
The excitement ran high as the man of God came onto the platform that first night of the crusade. “God bless you! God bless you!” he cried, and then led the crowd in drawing out the name Jeeeesuuuus as he walked across the platform. “Any pain, any disease—you can have a miracle for it,” he told them. “Trample that problem, that sickness under the blood, the blood, the blood! In the blood name of Jesus you can find every miracle, every healing you need. Jesus has all power; all power is in the divine blood of Jesus.
“It’s good to be back with you,” Reverend Angley told the crowd. “We love you and we appreciate all the testimonies you have mailed to the ministry. It’s wonderful the miracles that God has performed, healing sicknesses and diseases, healing AIDS.”
Two Great Testimonies
Testimonies were given of miracles received last year. A little boy, Sandiso Leon Simelane, had not been able to walk at last year’s crusade. His neck didn’t turn properly. Although his parents had taken him to different hospitals, he was not helped, but when Reverend Angley came last year he was healed and started to walk. He is now five years old and able to walk, run and jump; in fact, he ran across the platform to the cheers of the crowd. It was a miracle of God. The parents give all the praise to the Lord.
The next testimony was from a young man who had been born deaf, Sifiso Nkambule. Last year he was miraculously healed, his hearing restored and he received speech. Because there had been an article in a local paper disputing his miracle, he demonstrated for the crowd that the miracle really had taken place. A man spoke a number of sentences quietly behind him, and he repeated all the words correctly. “In the year 2002, Jesus healed me,” was one of those sentences.
How to Keep the Healing You Receive from Heaven
“How do you keep your healing?” was the question presented by Reverend Angley in the sermon that first night. All the promises of God are conditional. Jesus said unto him [a man seeking deliverance for his son], If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Him that believeth…Words ending in eth mean to continue. When you receive healing you believe, but you must continue to believe.
“We read that a crippled man lay by a pool hoping for a miracle,” Reverend Angley said. “We don’t know how long he had been there, hoping and waiting. One day Jesus passed by and saw him. The man didn’t expect healing to come through Jesus; he was waiting for the angel who stirred the waters.
“You may think your healing has to come in a certain way,” the man of God continued, “but let the Lord heal you His way; He’s passing by, ready to heal you today. The man had no one to help him into the water, but Jesus was there to help him into the waters of deliverance, and Jesus is here to help you into the waters of deliverance as well.”
Sin No More
Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). Living free from sin is an absolute requirement of keeping one’s salvation, a fact that Reverend Angley stresses again and again.
“Some people doubt they can live free from sin,” the man of God said. “But Jesus said to go and sin no more. He never told anyone to do something he or she could not do. You can live sin-free through the blood of Jesus. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery: Go, and sin no more (John 8:11). God heals, but He doesn’t heal people so they can go out and serve the devil.”
Reverend Angley related an experience of one woman who lost her miracle because she sinned:
“I prayed for this woman who was bound with arthritis. For two years she hadn’t been able to lift her hands high enough to comb her hair. But when I prayed she instantly was healed. Two years later I saw her again, and again she was crippled with arthritis. For six months she hadn’t been able to take care of herself. She had thought that once God had given her a miracle she would always have it, that He would never take it away. She failed to understand that God’s miracles are conditional. Anything a person gets from God through obedience can be lost through disobedience. She backslid, went into sin and lost her miracle. Now she wanted another chance. God was merciful; He saved her and healed her again.
“Wilt thou be made whole?” the man of God asked. “If so, you have to live for the Lord, obey Him and leave the world behind. You can be healed, but you have to serve God. Give up drugs, alcohol, witchcraft, all the darknesses of the devil, and obey the Lord. He honors obedience.”
The sermon closed with everyone saying the sinners’ prayer, and then it was time for the healing line for those deaf, or deaf and dumb, those with no sense of smell or taste. The healing of people with these types of afflictions is immediately evident for all to see, lifting the faith of the crowd higher so that they, too, can receive; for they can see that miracles are truly real.
Supernatural Gifts of the Holy Spirit Were in Operation
Again and again, Reverend Angley tells people that he is not the healer, that these supernatural gifts in his life are gifts of the Holy Spirit named in I Corinthians chapter 12. Through the gifts, the Lord tells him the diseases of people, takes him back into their lives to let them know they are the ones he is talking about. Realizing that God knows all about them ignites the faith that people need to receive their miracle.
Now turning from the healing line to the audience, Reverend Angley, through the Spirit of God, revealed that a man, forty-seven years old, had been afflicted with AIDS five years, two months, six days and three hours. His last name began with an A. He once had lived for the Lord, but he backslid. Then when the crowd said the sinners’ prayer, he came back to the Lord. And through the mercy and power of the Lord, he was now healed, saith the Lord.
A young woman, nineteen, had no future. For three years, nine months she had been afflicted with AIDS. Her first name started with E; it was a Bible name. She knew about Jesus but wouldn’t serve Him. Although she had come into the service lost, mixed up in witchcraft, she gave her heart to Jesus. She just had been holding on to life until the man of God got to Swaziland. She was healed, but told to serve God with all her heart and He would be her Lord.
The Holy Spirit moved again for those in the healing line, and miracles took place in front of the congregation for all to see. Five people were healed, and then Reverend Angley through the gift of discerning turned to an alcoholic standing in the back of the crowd. He was drunk; seventeen spirits bound him. “If you want them out,” said Reverend Angley, “then say the sinners’ prayer. Everyone say it with him.” He did surrender to God, and the devils went out, driven out through blood salvation.
Five more in the healing line were healed, and then came a mass miracle for the crowd: “Everyone with a hip condition, arthritis, problems with the knees, ankles, feet: Stand to your feet,” the man of God said. “You with a head problem, throat trouble: Touch and be healed. A lady with an enlarged heart: Your heart is coming to normal. Another person with a heart problem that runs in the family: You are healed. The Lord will still be giving miracles while the trio sings.”
The service ended in the miracle power of God as people looked forward to the next three nights.
Friday’s Service
Reverend Angley came onto the platform this night leading the people in repeating: Jeesuuuuss—wooooo! The people loved the wooooo part, and the name of Jesus focused the crowd on the healer, the one who had brought divine blood for their deliverance, soul, mind and body. “Put everything under the blood and leave it there,” the man of God told the people. “What you leave under the blood of Jesus is conquered. Don’t recognize false symptoms; they will hurt your faith.”
The Cathedral Trio sang, and then the gift of discerning went into operation for the crowd, naming the healings that were taking place.
He Feels Faith
Reverend Angley feels the faith of the people just as one would feel heat or cold. He described it as a line running from his finger to the faith of the person.
A woman was there whose two children had died with AIDS. Her husband had died with AIDS and her grandfather as well. She didn’t feel she could bear losing the last baby. Your baby is healed, saith the Lord; your baby will not die. God was moving.
More songs, one of which was “The Gates,” sung in the native tongue; the offering was taken and then Reverend Angley told the crowd that the next night the Lord wanted an ultimate anointing service. He said to bring a cloth or a handkerchief to be anointed and then kept in the home. Bondages would be broken, lives changed through this anointing. “Get ready for an anointing you’ve never had before,” he said.
Two Classifications: The Fearful and the Unbelieving
“Now for the Word of the living God,” Reverend Angley began his sermon that night. “When you pick up the Word of God, you pick up Jesus. What He did when He walked the earth He will do today. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Let Him work for you tonight.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8). This powerful verse is absolutely God-talk,” Reverend Angley said. “It shows two classifications: the fearful and the unbelieving. Those fearful of the ways of God fear hope, divine blood, the promises of God, salvation. Fearful to trust God, they are fearful of the born-again experience, fearful to look to God, fearful with the fear that comes from the devil.
“But the divine fear that comes from God is a totally different fear; it’s the fear that is the beginning of wisdom, fear that recognizes and loves Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. Godly fear is to acknowledge His great love, to honor God; divine fear is to walk with God and accept with all the heart the plan of redemption. Fear of the Lord is to know Heaven and to be looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews11:10).
“But the wrong fear, the ungodly fear creates a wall between you and God. Unbelievers are fearful, fearful of death—and rightly so, for the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17). Fearful of the Christ who died for them, they are fearful of His resurrection as well. In fact, they live in fear. The devil has given them fear of reaching out to God, fear of accepting the Bible as the living Word of God. What an appalling classification: the fearful! The fearful have no life, merely existence. No lasting peace, they are as restless as the demons themselves, a class of people to be pitied. Strangers to love, they fail to recognize true godly love. They walk in darkness, fearful of the night, of the next hour. They try to drink their troubles away, or escape reality through drugs until they don’t care anymore. Fear stalks their every move; they are afraid to accept God. The devil makes them afraid of their next step. He enjoys keeping people without hope, binding them in the prison house of darkness.”
How about the Unbelieving?
“Jesus came to be the hope of all the world,” Reverend Angley continued, “but the unbelieving do not care. Many know what God has said in His Word; the devil has given them doubt, the same doubt that destroyed Lucifer and caused God to cast him out of Heaven. He said he would be greater than God; he did not believe God would cast him out, but God did.
“Unbelievers do not believe Jesus is the way to Heaven. The Bible says, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
“The unbelieving do not believe the Word of God because they do not have Jesus in their hearts. Hypocrites they are, sneering at God’s miracles and healings. If you don’t believe in miracles, you don’t believe in God.
“One day there will be no unbelievers; people will either believe in Heaven or in hell. All liars will be cast into the lake of fire.
“What can wash away all your sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. You may be an unbeliever, but Jesus can make a believer out of you. Put your hand in the precious hand of Jesus and let Him turn you into a new creation through the divine blood. If you are in the classification of unbelievers, come out now. Come out of the classification of the fearful and leave with the riches of Heaven; through the Cross, you can be free of fear, of unbelief. Thank God for Jesus, who made deliverance possible!
“Every hand raised,” Reverend Angley said as the sermon ended. “You who are fearful and unbelieving: Pray this prayer with me.
“Oh, God, I want to get rid of these ugly fears and doubts. I want to believe as Jesus believed. I confess all my sins. I have sinned against you, and now I trample those sins underfoot with the blood of Jesus. I believe Jesus died for me and through Him comes life eternal. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus! Come on in and give me the joy of your salvation. I believe Jesus saves me now. Thank God, I am free! Hallelujah, I love Jesus and Jesus loves me.”
Mass Miracles
“God is here,” said the man of God. “Get ready for a mass miracle for deafness. God can heal thousands as easily as He can heal one individual. There will be people healed of death diseases while this mass miracle for hearing takes place. Put up two fingers,” Reverend Angley instructed, “and I will call down the anointing of God on those fingers in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Angels are here ministering to you, and the Lord is putting the anointing on your fingers. Now place your fingers in your ears as I am doing, and when I pull my fingers out, pull your fingers out and you will be able to hear. God is going to reveal His glory tonight. In the blood name of Jesus, come out!”
As people pulled their fingers out of their ears or out of the ears of the ones they were praying for, people received hearing. To prove that the mass miracle for deafness really worked, eighteen people crossed the platform and demonstrated that they had their hearing. Many more could have testified, but time was limited.
In mass miracles, nineteen were healed of death diseases. A woman in the back of the crowd was healed of a knee problem. Now thirty-nine more were healed of a death disease. Five were healed of TB, seventeen of severe bowel conditions, and seven hearts came to normal. The Lord re-created spines, disks, vertebrae, and the people were told to check themselves and find they had received fabulous miracles of re-creation. Blindness was healed.
More hundreds were healed of AIDS while the trio sang “Precious Jesus.” The people had moved into the greatness of God—it was marvelous! Lives were changed.
The service came to an end with the trio singing and Reverend Angley moving off the platform to the invalid section, praying for the people there.
Saturday’s Service
“All the powers of Heaven are in the divine blood of Jesus, healing for the whole person, salvation and miracles,” said Reverend Angley. “Using the blood, put all your troubles, sicknesses, financial problems under the blood; keep them there and God will move.”
The service Saturday began with testimonies of what God had done the year before. “What God has done for these people,” Reverend Angley told the crowd, “He can do for you.”
First on the platform was a grandmother testifying that her little granddaughter had been healed of AIDS one year ago. Since then she has twice been tested for AIDS and both tests were negative. People are healed of AIDS everywhere the man of God goes. Also, while in the audience this grandmother received a lung healing. When she went back to the doctor, the X-rays proved the lung was healed. She encouraged people to be strong in faith and to hold on to their miracles. The God of miracles lives.
The second woman to testify said she had been asthmatic, but every Sunday she would touch the TV set when Reverend Angley would lift his hand in prayer, and for a year she had never suffered with asthma again.
The next woman testified that she had come into the crusade service with no sense of smell, and God gave her a sense of smell.
A woman from South Africa, Mavis, suffered with arthritis. Neither knee had cartilage. To have a knee replacement would cost 5,000 rand for each knee. Also, her backbone felt like something was breaking. When Reverend Angley prayed for the crowd, she got her miracle. The Lord creates and re-creates parts of bodies. Her husband had been healed by putting his hand on the TV while Reverend Angley prayed. They had discovered that his cancer was gone.
People testified of being healed of a tumor, of diabetes, of a female condition, of chest pains, a thyroid condition, and deafness.
The Lord was moving, and the Holy Spirit began to reveal to Reverend Angley the people in the crowd that were being healed. “A man over here, your first name begins with F,” the man of God said. “You’re forty-one years old, married and have three children. You, your wife and children all have AIDS. You’re now healed, you and your family.”
A grandmother and grandfather with two grandchildren, one by their daughter and one by their son: Both children were afflicted with AIDS. When they had heard the testimony at the beginning of the service of the granddaughter being healed of AIDS, they both had reached up in faith, and touched Heaven. Your grandchildren are healed, saith the Lord.
Diabetes was healed, cancer of the stomach and allergies.
Secrets of the Heart Revealed
A person was there who had committed a terrible sin, murder. No one knew who did it. He had lived all these years thinking that God would never forgive him, but as you cried out to God this night, saith the Lord, He forgave.
As God lets Reverend Angley know the secrets of hearts it brings conviction on people, opens them up so God can deliver them.
A man, forty-seven years old, a backslider, had carried a grudge in his heart over twenty-five years. Again and again, he had wished a certain person would die. He was told through the Holy Spirit that he would have to pray for that person or God would not forgive him. Death was working in his body, but as everyone said the sinners’ prayer with him, he was healed. He was told to keep living for the Lord, that if the devil tried to bring back the grudge and he accepted it, he would die with AIDS within a year.
The Anointing Is Everything
Reverend Angley preached that Saturday night that the anointing of God is everything. Remember the cloths he had told the crowd to bring for Saturday night? At the end of the sermon, the time had come for him to call down the anointing of God on those cloths.
“The Lord is here: Get ready for a holy anointing,” the man of God told the crowd as he had them say the sinners’ prayer. After the prayer they were told, “Get out your cloth I told you to bring. God is going to put a mighty anointing on it, and miracles will take place in your home through that anointed cloth. I call down the ultimate power so you can take this power home with you. God, supply the need of each family represented here. As they take that anointed cloth home, help them to believe you for the ultimate anointing.”
Sunday’s Service
“God bless you! God bless you!” Reverend Angley cried to a cheering crowd. “All the help you need is found in the blood of Jesus.”
Reverend Angley preached that last night of the crusade on “Souls for Sale.” Two powers are bidding for souls: the power of God and the power of the devil. Taking the devil’s bid may seem easy, but it will end in all-out destruction. “Jesus is bidding good health, forgiveness of sin,” said the man of God. “You can walk out completely whole if you sell out to Jesus, to His precious blood spilled on Calvary that washes away sickness and heals the soul. Jesus is bidding life tonight. Some of you don’t have long to live unless you take His bid.”
Again, at the end of the sermon, people were given the chance to get right with God, and together the congregation said the sinners’ prayer.
Now the Holy Spirit through Reverend Angley began calling out healings and miracles taking place in the audience: A man had colon cancer and was given only three months to live. The doctors hadn’t thought he would live that long. He is now healed, saith the Lord.
A woman with high blood pressure and on the verge of a stroke was told that if the blood pressure didn’t come down, she would have that stroke. Her middle name began with an S and her last name with an E. You are now healed, saith the Lord. Your blood pressure is stabilized.
A man with prostate cancer, forty-two years old, his birthday is in July and his first name starts with Z: You’re not going to die; you are healed, saith the Lord.
A person with a disease different doctors could not diagnose: It was a rare disease; few people have ever had it. You are not going to die; you will walk out of here whole, healed by the power of the Lord.
Rapidly now, healings were called out for arthritis, diabetes, sinus trouble, eye and ear problems, ruptured disks, a malignant growth in the head, heart trouble.
“As you stand in the presence of the Lord,” Reverend Angley told the crowd, “many great miracles will take place tonight.” There was a mass miracle for deafness, and a number of people came across the platform to verify that although they had been deaf in one ear or in both ears, they could now hear.
Now came a mass miracle for death diseases. Seventeen received a miracle for AIDS, and then God moved for one hundred nineteen more suffering from AIDS, as well as TB, leprosy, heart trouble, and cancer: You are now healed, saith the Lord.
As the trio came on the platform to sing “Precious Jesus,” Reverend Angley bid his farewell to the crowd. “God bless you,” he said. “It was good to see you again. I will meet you in Heaven. While the trio sings, there will be more healings; more will be healed of cancer, AIDS and other diseases. Lift your hands for an anointing; let God heal you and always pray in the blood-name of Jesus.”
Through His blood-power the Lord had moved with miracle greatness. He had moved in the crusade with blood-love, blood-grace, blood-strength and blood-compassion. Rejoicing in the holiness and righteousness of God throughout the services, we saw wonderful miracles take place. The Lord had made it possible; He was fulfilling His promises of deliverance, and we had victory, victory, victory!
It’s time to rise up and declare war against the devil in the name of the Lord, and it’s a war the devil can never win. There is no defeat in the Lord. No power can destroy God’s plan. His vision will lead us to the ends of the earth in this last and final hour. God is gathering people throughout the earth to hold up the hands of His servant as he brings the living blood reality of Jesus to the people. We have been brought to the Kingdom for such an hour as this, an hour to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3) as we take this Gospel to the world.
