God takes full responsibility for you if you trust Him fully; He takes as much responsibility as you trust Him for. To be responsible to Him is to trust Him, depend on His promises. God wants to be able to trust you, and you must trust Him. It can be no other way. God can only give you what He can trust you to be responsible for. As you prove you are trustworthy, responsible, He gives. For example, there is no need for the Lord to give you rivers of love if you’re not going to take the responsibility for that love. When you ask God for rivers of love, you are responsible to serve that love to others.

God takes grave responsibility for every promise He’s ever made you. You’re not responsible for His promises; He takes full responsibility. God said, I will hasten my word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). That little word hasten means I’ll take care of it, I’ll look out for it. I take that responsibility, the Lord is saying, to see that my promises are performed, as long as you take the responsibility of trusting me. The Lord will never let any responsibility you take for Him go unmatched. God will hasten to perform His word; He will take care of it. Don’t worry about God fulfilling His part, it’s man who has failed; man, woman, boy and girl have failed to be responsible, to be reliable and trustworthy in the eyes of God.

You’re responsible to follow Jesus. He said, Follow thou me (John 21:22). You’re responsible to wear the shoes of Jesus, to be like Jesus; He is your example. You’re responsible for every blessing the Lord serves you. You are responsible to follow in the steps of Jesus, to find that heavenly city. When you come to the Lord, give your soul to Him, He takes full responsibility for that soul for time and eternity if you remain responsible to your calling—but it can’t be a one-sided love affair. You must love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind (Matthew 22:37).

You’re Responsible to Praise God

You’re responsible to praise God, to give Him the honor and the glory; it’s a responsibility not many take. When the answer comes to their prayers, responsibility rests upon them to praise the Lord, but many are too busy asking, begging for something else. Praise is a responsibility. The Lord said, Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD (Psalm 150:6).

I was taught as a child that if you received a gift, you always had the responsibility to thank the giver, to let the person know you appreciated what he or she did for you. I was taught that it was very rude not to respond, regardless of how small the gift. Are you rude to God? Do you forget to thank Him for His blessings? Are you more polite, more responsible toward people than toward God? Do you have the feeling God doesn’t need anything? Yes, He does; He needs you to praise Him. He desires your praise. Praise Him because He is God; your praise is due Him; it’s your responsibility. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised (Psalm 18:3). He is worthy; He is worthy!

You can’t buy God’s blessings with dollars and cents, but when you receive His miracles, you have a responsibility to repay in praise, honor and glory. Never cease to praise Him.

I’ve praised God down through the years for bringing me back from death and giving me life when I was in my early twenties. He took that responsibility—He didn’t have to do it, but He did. Jesus didn’t have to die on Calvary for us, but He gladly took that responsibility; and God took the responsibility to give us Jesus.

God Is Responsible to the Obedient

God intended to always be responsible for man. In Eden, God was so responsible that man was never to be sick, his eyes to never dim, his teeth to not decay. Man was meant to always remain young and healthy as he walked in close communion and fellowship with God. He was to have such close communion with God that he would never have to search for God, never even have to pray.

What a responsibility God took for the first man, the first woman! God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:27). And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). God got down in the dust and made man in His own image, His own likeness. He gave man a miniature brain like His own great brain, a mouth that could speak, a tongue that could form words so that man could talk to his God. Through mighty love, faith, tenderness and kindness, man was designed to be attached to his God.

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:16,17). Adam and Eve were responsible to live in the obedient state that God created them; they were responsible to never go to the forbidden tree. Had they shouldered that responsibility, the devil could not have taken them over.

If you shoulder your responsibilities toward God, the devil can’t get to you. In His Holy Word, God has laid out responsibilities—yours and the Lord’s. Jesus said, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). God has taken the responsibility to grant your petitions. When your heart is right before Him, and the grace of God abounding in you, when you ask in faith, believing that God has taken that responsibility, He will answer. Jesus said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). Isn’t that marvelous? If you use faith in the right spirit, in the right way, God takes responsibility to do what He said He would do.

God Is Responsible to the Tither

Tithing, giving ten percent of all your income to God, is your responsibility. Ten percent belongs to God. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Many Christians throughout the world have failed to take their responsibility in tithing and giving unto God. Tithes aren’t something you give to God, you pay them; it’s your responsibility, and God’s responsibility is to bless you for it. The tenth shall be holy unto the LORD (Leviticus 27:32).

Not only was tithing required under the Law, but seven hundred years before the law was given, Abraham tithed; he took that responsibility. The most high God…to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all (Hebrews 7:1,2).

Jacob made a vow unto the Lord. He told God if He would bring him back to his father’s house in peace that he would tithe everything; he would give God a tenth. And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee (Genesis 28:20-22). God did look out for Jacob when he took his responsibility to give God the tenth of everything, to not fail the Lord.

Many people fail to be responsible and then wonder why God doesn’t move for them. The Lord told me that when His people fail to tithe and give unto Him, it hinders them from receiving miracles, healings, spiritual blessings and financial help. It hinders in every way.

Fear Caused Peter to Fail His Responsibility

God takes complete responsibility for you if you fulfill your responsibilities to Him; you have to measure up. Although Jesus had taken full responsibility for Simon Peter, before the Crucifixion Peter didn’t assume all his responsibilities for the Lord. Jesus even gave him power to walk the water, but Peter failed in his responsibility to trust God. Why did he fail? Because he looked at the waves instead of looking at Jesus. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:25-31)? Peter walked the water, but when he didn’t keep that spirit of responsibility to his faith in God, Peter sank.

You are responsible to not let your faith waiver. Peter let his faith waver. James said, let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord (James 1:6,7). The Lord won’t be responsible for you when you are in and out, up and down with your faith. Faith is a wonderful gift from God, a priceless gift. As you carry the responsibility for that faith, you are careful to never touch doubt, never carry it in your spirit. You have the faith of God to carry, faith that destroys doubt. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).

The Responsibility of Prayer

Be responsible in your prayer life; pray without ceasing (I Thessalonians 5:17). You’re responsible to be in the spirit of prayer, responsible to be mindful of your personal God, responsible to talk to Him, responsible to bring your burdens to Him. Be fervent in prayer and fervent in the Word. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). If you don’t fulfill these responsibilities, He cannot take the responsibility of carrying all your burdens. Why try to carry burdens that Jesus will carry for you? Many hold on to unnecessary burdens and won’t let go. Afraid that God won’t be mindful of their burdens, they themselves take on the responsibility of carrying them.

Give the Lord’s responsibility back to Him. Matthew 11:28, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I say again, the Lord will be responsible for what you trust Him for, but if you don’t put your trust in Him, He won’t be responsible.

You Are Responsible to Believe the Atonement

Every promise God has given is conditional, even the promise of eternal life. Salvation is conditional; you have to measure up to its conditions. You have to walk right, do right, and live the holy life: You’re responsible for that. All of us before God have the responsibility to be trustworthy, reliable, dependable. God wants us to take that responsibility. Look to God in a responsible way.

The sinner is responsible to give an account for every sin he has committed unless he takes the responsibility of going to Calvary to get rid of those sins. If he wants to go to Heaven, he is responsible to call upon the name Jesus. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your responsibilities are heavy; your responsibilities are many.

Jesus is not responsible for your soul unless you trust Him for salvation. You ask the Lord for the born-again experience, you want to be born new, but are you planning to stay in that newness? Are you planning to walk with Jesus all the way? Are you planning a life different from the old life? Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). People who fail to change into the new life are people who fail in their responsibility to God; and God is not responsible for them.

God is responsible for everything you put into His hands and leave there, everything you put under the blood. When you put your sins under the blood, God takes full responsibility; your sins are destroyed. Put sicknesses and diseases under the blood and God is as responsible for them as He is for your salvation. The Bible says, With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The Bible also tells us, The Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8), and sickness is certainly not from God. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). All good and perfect gifts come from the Lord. The Lord came to be your sin-bearer and your sickness-bearer; He took that responsibility. He has given you the faith, the love, and the great things of God so you can reach out, take your blessings from Him and hold to them.

When you’re careless, not praising God, not giving Him the honor and the glory due Him, you lose the fellowship He wants to have with you. But when you take responsibility to go the way of the Lord, then you walk hand in hand with Him. You don’t need to search for Jesus; He said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

Study the Word of God; find out His responsibilities toward you. What did God promise you? What is He supposed to do for you? What will He do for you? But what are your responsibilities? What do you owe God? You are responsible to pay Him all He is due.

Responsible to Help Others

We pay God in faith, in love, in doing the faith works, the love works. We pay Him by helping others: Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). That’s your responsibility. Do you ever pass by someone carrying a heavy load because you don’t want to take the time to help? Are you unconcerned about others? Are you so busy with self that you fail to shoulder your responsibility before God of taking time with a little lost lamb? You’re responsible to speak unto edification and not hurt.

You’re responsible to use the love language and no other language. How do you present God to the world? You are responsible to show Him in all living reality as Lord God Almighty, responsible to give over to God so he can display His miraculous hands of delivering power and greatness. It’s your responsibility to believe Him for miracles, to use faith so that others can have miracles and healings. It’s your responsibility to allow the light of God to shine through you.

A born-again Christian is responsible to serve the nine fruits of the Spirit, to help others. The Lord took the responsibility of making those nine fruits of the Spirit available to you, but have you ever thought of what you’re responsible to do with them? You claim those fruits of the Spirit in your innermost being, but they’re not to remain unused in your soul. You are responsible before God to use them. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22,23).

You Are Responsible for Courage

If you’re not going to use the things God gives you, don’t ask for them, don’t contend for them. If you’re not going to use faith, don’t ask for more faith. If you’re not going to use the love of God, don’t ask for it. If you’re not going to use hope and courage, don’t ask for them. The Lord gives you courage, and you’re responsible to use that courage. You’re responsible to use God’s love to help deliver other people from fear as well as to deliver you, yourself. You’re responsible to serve love when a fearful heart comes to you for help. God’s love destroys fear. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love (I John 4:18). What gifts are yours, and the grace of God is the most marvelous gift ever! Through His grace you have your passport to Heaven; through His grace your loved ones who have gone on ahead are in Heaven today.

You are a keeper of the Bible, keeper of the Word of God—this Earth Book given by Heaven. What a responsibility is yours! Proclaim to all who have ears to hear that the Bible is the Holy Word of God full of His promises. Tell people that His Word is the heart of God for humanity. You carry the heart of God—what are you going to do with it?

You’re Responsible for Salt

Matthew 5:13, Ye are the salt of the earth. The responsibility of salt: Nothing is good to God on Earth unless the salt, His people, are in it.

I read a story one time about a king seeking to know which of his children loved him best, for he wanted to reward that one in a special way. He brought his children in and let each one tell how much they loved him. One child looked up and said, “I love you better than salt.” The king was disappointed at first, and then it dawned on him what the child was really saying: There’s nothing good to my child unless I’m in it—nothing good! That was the child who was rewarded, the one who loved the father the most.

The only reason the Lord can stomach this world right now is because of the salt, you, God’s people. Not only are you the salt of the earth, but of Heaven as well. When the Bride is taken out, there won’t be enough salt left to save the earth from great tribulation. Remember Lot’s family: The Lord couldn’t bring judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah until the salt was taken out.

You’re Responsible to Shine Forth

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14). As the light of God, you have a great responsibility to light the darkness around you, a responsibility for the spiritual light. What a price was paid to bring that light! Jesus said, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12). Jesus came as the light of the world, and now His people are the light of the world in His place.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). In fulfilling your responsibility to let your light shine, never grumble, never complain. God has taken responsibility for you, and He doesn’t grumble and complain about it; that’s not God’s Spirit. God is love. To murmur, grumble and complain is irresponsible, a failure to face up to your godly duties in life.

When you took Jesus into your heart, you took the greatest responsibility of all. You not only took the responsibility to become the light, the salt, a brand-new creation in Christ Jesus, you took the responsibility of leaving the old paths and traveling the new ones. You took the responsibility of speaking unto edification and not to destruction, of serving love and not hate.

Responsibile to Suffer for Christ

Jesus suffered all things for us; and since He suffered for us, we will reign with Him. The Bible says, If we suffer, we shall also reign with him (II Timothy 2:12). Many want to reign with the Lord, yet they refuse to take the responsibility of suffering for His name’s sake. When they are pressed for the sake of Christ, they begin to murmur and complain, Look what I am going through! God doesn’t care, God doesn’t even seem to love me! This attitude will tie the hands of God so He will not be able to move, not be able to bless.

God takes no responsibility for you or for what you want done when you say words like: If my loved one dies, I’m not going to serve you, God. You can’t push God, can’t threaten Him and still expect Him to move. Ungrateful people have tried that approach, and found His responsibility for them had ended: I don’t care God! I’m not going to pray; I’m not going to seek your face; I’m not going to walk after you; I’m not going to open your Bible to see what you are saying. God just lets them be; they have blocked Him, made dead-end streets for themselves, and then wondered why they weren’t getting anywhere with God. They didn’t take the responsibility of seeking God the right way, in all faith, love and humility.

The Responsibility of Assembling

We’re responsible to God, responsible to be in His services. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). We’re responsible to meet with our brothers and sisters in Christ in His house. Jesus said, For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). Jesus is responsible to be with us every time we gather in His name. He is always there. If you deliberately stay at home when you could be at a true salvation and Holy Ghost-preaching church, God takes no responsibility for you. He takes no responsibility for what’s happening to you, how despondent, how oppressed and depressed you are, because you’re going against what God has told you to do. There’s strength in the congregation of God’s people.

The devil may talk you out of going to church, but he will be there to see who else he can deceive into disobeying the Word of God. He’s always in church. Resist him with the very Word of God he seeks to steal from your heart; resist him with the blood of Jesus; use the blood; he fears the blood. The devil doesn’t fear our insults; he laughs at them; but when you use the blood, his laughter dries up.

Responsibility of Using Divine Blood

Jesus gave us His blood. His divine blood makes us partakers of Christ (Hebrews 3:14). How marvelous to know that God took the responsibility of making us partakers of His divinity! The blood in Eden that God had given to man was pure and holy. With divine blood in his veins, man would never be sick; no sickness could get into his body of flesh, and that body would never decay. But with sin man contaminated that blood. Had Adam and Eve not sinned, their bodies would be young and healthy yet today, and they would still be living in the Garden of Eden. God didn’t make man His slave; He made man to walk and talk with Him, to have fellowship with Him. God wanted that fellowship, He wanted man to say, God, I love you; God, you are wonderful! I’ll never forget you made me, God; I’ll never forget I am in your likeness. You made me with a little brain like your great master brain, that I can use and think with. I can choose what I want to think, and my responsibility is to think like you, God; I’m responsible to you.

Adam and Eve turned their backs on the responsibility to treasure the divine blood that flowed in their veins, and that blood became contaminated. You are responsible to use the divine blood of Jesus; and if you don’t take that responsibility, the devil will have many victories over you that he never would have had. You can defeat the devil with the blood, trample him underfoot. The Bible says, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). There it is again: Responsibility. To be in the right spirit to resist the devil is your responsibility.

Fasting Is a Responsibility, Too

Many people don’t take the responsibility of being in the right spiritual condition to resist the devil. This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Prayer, fasting and living in the Word are your responsibilities.

At first the disciples didn’t know about their responsibility to fast, but Jesus told them that certain miracles could take place only through prayer and fasting. And when he [Jesus] was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:28,29).

The disciples of John the Baptist asked Jesus why His disciples didn’t fast, and Jesus answered: The days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast (Matthew 9:15). After Jesus went away, the disciples accepted their responsibility to fast.

Paul was a powerhouse for the Lord because he shouldered the responsibility of fasting, praying and living in the Word.

If you want God to be responsible to you, you must be responsible to Him. I say again, His responsibility for you is conditional. When you fail in your responsibility to God, any blessings you might receive will be only because of the goodness of God. If you don’t tithe and give unto God, He isn’t responsible to see that you’re fed or clothed; but when you are responsible, when you measure up to what He has told you to do, then He takes that responsibility. All the promises of God are conditional. God said, if you do this, I’ll do that.

Responsible to Do Things God’s Way

And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him (Joshua 6:2-5). God told the Israelites to march around the walls of Jericho once each day for six days, and on the seventh day they were to march seven times. They were responsible for seven days. They had to take responsibility every day for the victory to come. When you each day take responsibility before God to be obedient, the walls of adversity will come tumbling down. Take responsibility to do things God’s way. God was responsible to tear down the walls as long as the Israelites took the responsibility to obey God’s instructions exactly.

Lack of responsibility blocks your blessings. Why, God, don’t you move? Check yourself. Am I responsible? How responsible am I to God? Do I show more responsibility toward my family than I do toward God? Do I show more responsibility toward friends and people I meet than I do to God? Do I show little or no responsibility at all to God because I don’t think He needs me? Do I pray only when I need something?

Responsible to Be Undefiled

Responsible, responsible, we are responsible to God for so much! The Bible tells us in James 1:27, Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. You’re responsible for this: to have my pure religion and to be undefiled before me. In His Word, God tells you what you’re responsible for, but if you don’t take responsibility to study the Word, to be fervent with the Word, you’re not going to know all these things. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

Like the Psalmist, hide His Word in your heart. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). If you don’t hide the Word of God in your heart, you’re not going to know what your responsibilities are.

Some people can spend a whole day and never get around to their responsibilities to God. I’ve got to do this for myself—I’ve got to do this for Aunt Jane or Uncle John or whoever—I’ve got to take care of this—I’ve got to go across town and deliver this—I’ve got to pay this bill—I’ve got to pay that bill. And then the day is done. You haven’t been responsible to God all day. Prayer was passed up as though it were unnecessary; praise was ignored like rubbish in the waste can; the Word of God was treated as though it were so weak you needed none of it. So you left the things of God out of your routine, failed to shoulder your responsibilities to Him.

God gave you the Bible, His Holy Word; and you are responsible for the way you handle it, how you think upon it, the quality of work you get done with it.

The Gravest Responsibility

Mark 16:15 contains one of the gravest responsibilities of all: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Child of God, when you come to God you don’t have a greater responsibility than being a soul winner. The Bible says, He that winneth souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3). We’re responsible to get the Gospel to the whole world. If we fail because of not taking our responsibility, souls will die and go to hell. What if Jesus had not shouldered His responsibility in the Garden? Jesus had taken on the form of flesh, remember, and flesh is weak. He told the father, If thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:42). The Father knew that only the divine blood sacrificed on the cross would be the salvation of mankind; it was His will. Jesus took the responsibility of Calvary. His sacrifice is a marvel to us, so great and so wonderful!

Your responsibilities, my responsibilities are to do the works of the Lord, to carry on the work as Jesus did when He was here on Earth. Jesus put people ahead of Himself all the time; He suffered all things that we might have everything; He took the responsibility to make us what God wanted us to be so we could live in Heaven with Him for all eternity. Jesus shouldered the responsibility of a sin-cursed world, a sin-cursed people.

When Jesus met the responsibility of delivering the devil possessed, those who wanted deliverance were set free. They brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word (Matthew 8:16). Now that responsibility is ours; Jesus said that believers would cast out devils in His name. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils (Mark 16:17). We are responsible! In this last hour, this great hour, if you will shoulder your responsibilities, you will be amazed how God will move for you, how God will help you, how God will stand by you.

Responsibility of Teaching the Word

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up (Deuteronomy 6:6,7). You are responsible to teach the Word of God in your home.

When I started preaching about a family altar, I discovered that people didn’t know what it was. A family altar is simply the place where family members gather to pray; it’s an altar before God. I remember when I was very young my parents would gather us together in the evening. It was time to talk to God, to thank Him for the day, time to take responsibility to praise Him, time to say good night to Him before we said good night to each other.

Many people are not feeling the responsibility to gather their children together and pray with them. When you bring a child into the world, you have taken on a responsibility before God. A soul has been born, and God doesn’t want it to be born to go to hell; but the lack of responsibility in instilling God’s Word into that child can lead him straight to hell any time after he reaches the age of accountability.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Training a child in the ways of the Lord is the responsibility of every mother, every daddy. A child has a real chance in life when holy parents take responsibility in using God’s love, God’s faith and God’s Word to rear that child. Many parents take responsibility to see their child has good clothing and is well groomed; but there is something far more important: God’s Word, love and faith clothing and grooming that child’s heart. No matter how deep in sin a child may go, if he has been taught the right way, he will always remember it. He can’t get away from the truth even if he dies without God; that child’s mind will go back to the truth again and again. If he lifts up his eyes in hell, he’ll remember the truth.

By taking the responsibility for training their children in the ways of the Lord, parents stand a wonderful chance of keeping them on the right paths in life. Keep that love, keep that family altar, keep that trust in God so God can trust you and give you more of His wisdom, more of His knowledge to rear your children. He’s ready to pour out anything you need.

Do You Want God to Be Responsible for You?

The Lord doesn’t offer you despair, He doesn’t offer you unhappiness. He offers you the peace and joy that He wanted man to have in Eden. God feels responsible for the man and woman He made, but He can’t take that responsibility unless you want Him to. If you want Him to be responsible, if you want to recognize the fact that He took your place on Calvary, then He’s responsible to forgive you of your sins. It’s your responsibility to believe Him to be the living sacrificial Lamb of God for you. When you do that, God will take the responsibility for your soul because salvation will flow to you through that faith. You’re looking to God, believing God. Oh, responsibility, responsibility!

Be responsible before God; be responsible to the Word of God; be responsible to the commands of God; be responsible to the desires of God. You want Him to be responsible to look out for you, to give you good health and strength, but you must be responsible toward Him. Take on your responsibilities and go forth in the greatness of the Lord and be His light, be His salt, be his witness in this your final walk.

The Responsibility to Wait

Responsibility…when you measure up in responsibility, you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about. Neglecting to face up to your responsibilities brings doubt and fear. Guilt will render you helpless again and again. But if you are taking your responsibility before God, and the devil tries to make you think you did something wrong or you wouldn’t be in the condition you are in, you’ll be able to say, “Not so; not so.” You have been measuring up to your responsibility to God, and you know it’s not true. You are waiting upon the Lord. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). That’s your responsibility, to wait on the Lord. Wait at the right place at the right time, and you’ll rise up with wings like the eagle.

Don’t give up in despair. You will have battles; you will endure various trials. Jesus suffered many things when He was here, but He won because He was responsible to the Father. He took that responsibility every moment He was here on Earth.

God Will Fulfill His Responsibilities

Because the Father took on His responsibility, the Son was able to say, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42). God with His responsibilities being fulfilled toward man, and man fulfilling his responsibilities toward God make a glorious combination. Then man can look up, woman can look up and say, “God, you always hear me!”

If you need to meet your responsibility of salvation, pray this prayer with me now: Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home. I’m going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I believe that Jesus died for me, and I will live for Him. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins, all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!

If you meant this prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah, He has come! Hallelujah, Jesus has come!

You who are sick and afflicted or you have a little one who is afflicted, get ready for God to move: The Lord is the healer. Lord, I bring the people to you. These supernatural gifts that you work through the life of this your humble servant will deliver the people. In the holy, holy name of Jesus I command the sick to be healed today of all manner of sicknesses and diseases! In the name of Jesus I command that little one to be healed! Heal, in the holy name of the Lord! Heal, in the all powerful name of Jesus! Heal, I pray!

Watch yourself or your little one get well in the name of Jesus. Watch all improvements daily and remember your responsibility is to be obedient, to believe, to serve the Lord with all your heart, and to praise Him. Follow thou me! the Master said. Take up your full responsibility and follow Jesus all the way.
