Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). That means we must live perfect in divine love; and no other kind of love can go through the gates of Heaven, enable you to make miracles with the Lord or help you get your prayers through to God. The Bible says, God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (I John 4:16). You cannot live in God’s will without perfect love.

I Corinthians 13 gives God’s description of divine love; and in that chapter, the Lord says that if you do not have His love, you are nothing. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing (I Corinthians 13:1-3). I am using the word “love” in place of the word “charity” because charity means love.

What Is Divine Love?

[Love] suffereth long, and is kind (I Corinthians 13:4). You must take time to be kind, and people want to talk to those who are kind. [Love] envieth not; [love] vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up (I Corinthians 13:4). People in my family had a lot of love and patience, and we did not envy one another. We wanted each other to prosper, and we wanted everyone to have what they needed. When one of us would get some money, that person always divided and helped support the rest of the family.

[Love] doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked (I Corinthians 13:5). The love found in many homes today is not real; it is just unseemly behavior. Love is the answer for everything; so if you do not have divine love in your family, you may have a house but not a real home full of happiness and joy. We had a lot of happiness in our home because God and the Holy Ghost were there. We were taught nothing but the truth; and we were taught to respect that truth and the people who lived it whether we were following it at the time or not.

[Love] thinketh no evil. [Love] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth (I Corinthians 13:5,6). You are not to think evil things or to suspect others of doing evil things, and you must not rejoice in iniquity or take part in any sin. You must rejoice only in truth; so that means you must never listen to gossip, and you won’t want to when you are living perfect in love. You must only want to hear people talk about love.

[Love] beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. [Love] never faileth (I Corinthians 13:7,8). Love bears all things and believes all things that are good. It hopes all things with divine hope, and it endures all persecutions. Love takes a lot, and it never fails.

Love Brings Divine Knowledge

But whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away (I Corinthians 13:8). When the end of this civilization comes, the prophecies will be over; tongues will cease, and all earthly knowledge will vanish away.

Some people think that the tongues referred to here are the speaking in tongues of the Holy Ghost, but that is not so. That verse is talking about people’s tongues, but many don’t teach that because they want to use that verse to fight speaking in tongues. Thus saith the Lord, people are going to blaspheme against the Holy Ghost in this hour if they fight speaking in tongues. They may claim they are going to Heaven, but I don’t think they will ever make it; and I know they cannot make the Rapture without the Holy Ghost.

Speaking in tongues is the first evidence of the Holy Ghost because God chose it to be on the Day of Pentecost, And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). When people deny that verse, they are calling Jesus, the Holy Ghost and God the Father liars; and that is blasphemy.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away (I Corinthians 13:9,10). Right now, we only know in part; and we cannot see everything clearly. Some of you will say, “I don’t understand”; but as long as you hold the Lord’s hand, He will never let you go. When I don’t understand something, I just hold His hand and praise Him; and if He does not want to give me understanding, it is all right with me. I only want the will of God to be done.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things (I Corinthians 13:11). Some of you have petty, childish ways; and you are easily upset, insulted and hurt by things. You need to grow up and stand as tall in love as Jesus did when He was here so you can be a blessing, and God cannot make you a blessing until you grow up. The Bible tells us, Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known (I Corinthians 13:12). Today, we see through a glass darkly; however, the Bible does tell us all we need to know in this life.

And now abideth faith, hope, [love], these three; but the greatest of these is [love] (I Corinthians 13:13). If you have never memorized that love chapter, you should so you can always carry it in your heart. The Psalmist said, Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). Proverbs tells us, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20,22). Knowing scriptures will change your thought life, and saying scriptures can even help you get to sleep.

The Depths of Divine Love

After teaching the Corinthians about God’s love, Paul said, Follow after charity (I Corin-thians 14:1). We have to seek divine love morning, noon and night; and when we give ourselves to love, we are also giving ourselves to redemption, to grace, to goodness, to longsuffering and to all nine fruits of the Spirit.

The Lord has plenty of divine love—enough to fill all the rivers and the oceans on Earth and still have more left over. There is no shortage of love; there is just a lack of people who will serve it because you have to live holy to be able to serve that love.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height [of His love] (Ephesians 3:16-18). There is no way we can know all the riches of God’s glory; but when you are rooted and grounded in His love, you will know that God’s love reaches as far as you can imagine—to your left, to your right, ahead of you and behind you. That is the vision and the assurance you must have because that is the fulfillment of divine, perfect love.

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19). Divine love goes far beyond all earthly knowledge, and only through that love can you be filled with all the fullness of God. When people will not seek and receive the fullness of God there is something wrong.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). That means according to the power of love that works in you through the Holy Ghost. That power is why I get so many prayers through to God for people and why people from around the world call our 24-hour prayer line.

You Need Power from On High

Divine love completely changed my life. The night I was saved, I went to church one way and left a completely different creature. I left my worldly mind behind, and my thoughts became different because the Lord gave me His mind. Suddenly, I was in a strange and brand-new world, and the Lord lived with me night and day. Then He immediately called me to preach, but I didn’t know how to do that. I knelt down with my face buried in the floor; and the tears were pouring as I said, “God, I will, but I don’t know how.” However, all He wanted was for me to be willing. Then He threw His mantle of power upon me and filled me with the good Holy Ghost.

When you are saved, God gives you first love, the love you can only receive at Calvary. Love is the first thing that touches a lost soul because love has to be there before the truth in the Word can do anything. When people go to Calvary for the first time, love is already there for them; and it brings them into the knowledge of the truth of God’s love and of His Heaven.

The next step is to go forward and seek until you receive the baptism of the Spirit. The Bible tells us, Be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). If you don’t receive the Holy Ghost, you will go backwards in your walk with the Lord because you cannot stand still. Jesus said, I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:15,16).

Sinners are not in the mouth of God; but if you are a Christian who is in the mouth of God and you become lukewarm, God will spew you out and into the Tribulation Period. He has told me three different times down through the years that those who are alive when Jesus comes will have to have the Holy Ghost or they will be left behind.

Jesus said that we can’t even be saved unless we are drawn by the Holy Spirit. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him (John 6:44). And we cannot get to the Father without Him either. For through him [Jesus] we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

Some of you are not ready for the Rapture today, and you are not doing anything about it because you don’t really desire the Holy Ghost. After I was saved, I wanted the Holy Ghost more than anything else in the world. I sought the Lord day and night, and it did not take me long to receive. It was glorious, and the Holy Ghost would take me over and speak through me in so many different languages.

Once you receive the Holy Ghost, you must never grieve Him. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). When you don’t have first love, you will grieve the Holy Spirit and make Him cry. If you continue to do that, you will blaspheme and grieve the Holy Spirit away from your door forever.

Divine Love Makes a Marriage

This Jesus ministry was built on love, and it has changed so many lives. Many people who were devil possessed and on drugs and alcohol have come to our services and been set free. Now, they can say as the Psalmist did, I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We are wonderfully made through the love of God.

First love will volunteer to work for the Lord; and if you don’t have a volunteer spirit, you don’t have first love, saith the Lord. My wife, Angel, and I never considered what we would be paid for doing the work of the Lord because we never did our work for money. We carried the Gospel to some of the poorest places on Earth because we had first love, and we were willing to sacrifice. We always put the Lord first, and He honored us with many blessings.

First love, along with human and divine love, was why we had such a wonderful marriage. Human love within itself is not enough, and human love only becomes divine love through the power of God in salvation. To have a happy marriage, you must have first love; and you must not marry a person who does not have first love.

Angel and I never argued or fought. We decided before we were married that we would serve God with all of our hearts and that our marriage would be different from any other we had ever seen; and we had that for twenty-seven years. We talked things out with the presence of the Lord, and He reasoned with us just as He said He would. Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18).

We both had the Holy Ghost baptism, power from On High, to direct us and lead us; and when you have the Spirit of truth, you will have nothing to argue about. When you love people with God’s love, you do not want to hurt them; and you do not want anyone else to hurt them either. I could not stand Angel’s tears; I just wanted to deal with all the unpleasant things myself.

The Bible plainly tells you how a man and wife are supposed to treat each other. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband (Ephesians 5:25,28-33).

Angel and I had that kind of love, and that was why I felt like I had been broken into a million pieces when God called her home. I always thought I was strong enough to face anything, but I never imagined having to face such a deep valley as losing my beloved Angel. I loved her better than I loved my own life. Only God could have put me back together, and He did it with love.

My house felt so empty after she was gone; and I would fall onto the floor crying, “Jesus, love me; I just have to be loved! Lord, I had so much love, but it is all gone; and I cannot live without love.” Then He would say, “I am the Lord that loveth thee”; and that would give me strength to go on a little more.

One day, the Lord came to me and said, “You are greatly loved.” I never thought I would hear Him say such a thing, and I never forgot it. I can still hear it as if He just said it, and it echoes and re-echoes down the hallways of my very innermost being. I still missed Angel’s love so much, but I knew I had the love of Jesus.

Divine Love Works for Us

Paul said, I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called (Ephesians 4:1). We are called into the perfect love of God, and that love covers a multitude of sins. And above all things have fervent charity [love] among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins (I Peter 4:8).

Through love is the only way you can be without blame before the Lord. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1:4). Divine love will give you all the divinity you need and can ever use, so you must give over to it. Divine love also brings divine faith, and the two together will bring you so many other divine things.

But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ (Ephesians 4:7). What is that gift of Christ?—love. He gives us nothing without divine love, and grace comes with that love. Love went to the whipping post, and that is why we can be healed and made completely whole.

Our youth can be renewed in old age because the Lord promised it could. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5). Many people don’t believe that; but Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Every word in the English language that ends with “eth” means that action or thought has to continue, so your faith and your first love have to always keep working in you.

I say again that your faith will not work without first love, and it won’t please God. But without faith it is impossible to please him (Hebrews 11:6).

Some of you do wonderful works for the Lord, but you don’t do them through love; so you get no reward for them. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth (I John 3:18). The love of God is the only love that will cause you to love in deed and in truth.

When Jesus wrote the letters to the seven churches through John the Revelator, He told the first church, I know thy works (Revelation 2:2). They had done many wonderful works, and Jesus did not fail to say so; but He had one thing against them. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent (Revelation 2:4,5). When the Lord has something against you, He will let you know; and if you don’t clear it up, you will not go to Heaven much less make the Rapture. You will be headed for hell; and once you are there, you cannot get out!

Be in One Mind

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). People who are peacemakers keep the unity of the Spirit. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9).

Do you strive to keep the unity of the Spirit, or do you deceive people and try to cover up things that you do? If you are not keeping the unity of the Spirit, there is something wrong; and you will not fit in Heaven. However, anything will fit into hell with the devil and the wicked.

The Bible says, There is one body, and one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4). God has proven His love to us, and He has given us so many things to help make His saints perfect in love and grace. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).

If you are not perfect in first love today, it is best to face it now while you can still get that perfection; and you can get it through prayer, fasting and Bible study. Then your life will change, and you will be able to walk worthy of the love and the grace of God. The Lord said, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves (II Corinthians 13:5). The Bible is your examination book.

Ephesians is a small book, but it is full of truth; and it says, Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children (Ephesians 5:1). That means we are to be as dear, holy, godly children. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour (Ephesians 5:2). Do you walk in anger, clamor, deceit, hate or resentment? Some people say they want the will of God, but they do not walk in it because it goes against what they want to do.

You Must Be Made New

Are you ready to meet the Lord right now, or would you start praying and confessing if you knew the Lord was coming in the next five minutes? If an angel would appear and cry, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him (Matthew 25:6),” would you be ready? Thinking you are ready and being ready are two different things.

You have to leave everything that is like the world behind and match the love and grace of Jesus because He is coming after a spotless Bride. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). A blemish can be something very tiny, and only the Holy Spirit can let you know if you have one. If you do, you can get rid of it by letting the blood wipe it away.

The Bible says, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). If you still have any of that old person in you, you are not made perfect in love. The Bible says, Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest [meaning spiritual sleep], and arise from the dead [the deadness of sin], and Christ shall give thee light (Ephesians 5:14).

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). So many people in the world today claim to be holy, but they do not have true holiness because no one can have true righteousness and holiness without the love of God. The Bible says, Be ye holy; for I [Almighty God] am holy (I Peter 1:16). True holiness, righteousness, love and divinity are perfect; but sin has no perfection in it.

Many people think they are living holy, but they are deceived; and this is the greatest hour of deceit that has ever been. The Bible says people will wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (II Timothy 3:13). People deceive their own hearts thinking they are all right and ready to meet the Lord when they are not.

You must be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Ephesians 4:23), and that means taking on the mind of Christ. Some of you have the blood in your soul, but you will not use it on your mind. Jesus had a human mind like ours when He took on the fashion of a man, so He had to put divine ingredients in it; and so do we.

Never Argue

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:25-27). That verse says that you will get angry, but you cannot display it. You can’t give the devil any place in your life; so when you get angry, you cannot say things you should not say.

You have to have the divine blood, your first love and the anointing of the Holy Ghost to keep your tongue like God wants it to be. If you go to sleep with anger in your heart toward a person, you will wake up with a grudge; and when you have a grudge, you will tell somebody else about it. You will not get to Heaven with a grudge, and you are giving place to the devil when you have one.

If you argue in your marriage, you will not get to Heaven. If your mate argues and you don’t, you will go to Heaven; but your mate will not. Why do you want to say words you will be sorry for? Why do you want to lose your salvation by arguing with somebody? It takes two to argue, and you don’t have to argue with anybody. The Bible says, Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:21). That means we are not to argue but to agree. We are not to grumble and complain but to work together.

Some people say they cannot conquer their temper, but that is because they do not have divine love. Only that love will conquer temper in your marriage and in your home. Surely, you did not get married to argue, and you cannot argue your way to Heaven.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). Are you careful with your words? I have heard people talking who claim to be children of God, but their speech did not prove it. Some of them gave me chills, and I wanted to get away from them.

You Must Forgive

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:31,32). Do you have one thing in your heart against anybody today? If so, you will be the loser. The Lord said we would have to give account of every word we speak. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36).

We must forgive one another; but if you do not forgive others, the Lord will not forgive you. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). When you don’t forgive, you are robbing yourself of the blessings of God; and then you wonder why your prayers are not being answered.

God told me that His people can only forgive according to the amount of His love that they have; so if you can’t forgive others and leave those situations behind, it is because you don’t have God’s love in any great way. You will be able to determine how much of His love you have by the way you forgive.

The Lord forgives through love; and He has so much love that even the vilest sinners can kneel humbly at His altar, and He will cleanse them in a matter of moments. He will wash all of their sins away and give them a blood bath of love that will make them righteous.

God said His ears are open to the cry of the righteous. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34:15). If you are a righteous person today, you should have perfect faith and believe in your own prayers. I believe in my prayers more than I do anybody else’s because I know how I live, and I know how much time I spend with God. I get many prayers answered in just one day, and the Lord is ready to do that for you, too.

I am responsible to give people the truth. The Lord told Ezekiel that if he did not give people the truth, their blood would be upon his hands. Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand (Ezekiel 3:17,18).

The Lord went on to tell Ezekiel that if people died in their sins after hearing the truth, it would be their own fault. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul (Ezekiel 3:19). I give people the truth just as God gives it to me, and they have free choice to do whatever they want to with it.

Jesus paid the price for the whole world to be free, but people have free choice to choose whether or not they want to serve God; however, this time of choice will soon be over. The Lord said He is coming for those who are watching for Him. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching (Luke 12:37).

Wear God’s Armor

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:10-12). There is definitely spiritual wickedness in high places today.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth (Ephesians 6:13,14). You cannot have truth in anything without divine love.

And having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:14,15). The Gospel of peace brings peace that passes all understanding. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If you fail to serve peace to everybody, you do not have first love; and you can only get that love through the divine blood.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16). You cannot have that shield of faith without divine love.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17,18). That does not refer to praying in tongues as some people have thought; it means we must always be in the spirit of prayer.

And watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Paul wanted people to pray for him so he could preach the truth with boldness. He said, That utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19).

Finally, Paul said, Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen (Ephesians 6:23,24). Think about how much God loves you; but do you love Him back, and do you show that same love to other people? Some of you have perfect, divine love today, and some of you don’t; you must be the judge, not I.

I have no desire to judge people; I just want to help them to know whether or not they are living for God like they should be. Jesus said, Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:1,2). You may whine and cry saying that God does not love you, but have you ever examined your own self to see how often you have judged other people, especially your brothers and sisters in Christ? The Bible does not tell us to judge others but to pray one for another (James 5:16).

Be like Jesus

When I got saved, I started for Heaven. I knew it would take divine love to get through the gates of Glory, and I knew that I had to live free from all sin. God’s people do not sin; and the Bible confirms that when it says, He that committeth sin is of the devil (I John 3:8). Just one sin destroyed the whole world; so you have to live free from it, or you will die. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).

Jesus brought His divine nature for us, and we can be like Him just like John the Revelator was. He loved Jesus very much, and that is why the Gospel of St. John is so full of love. John was the only apostle who stood by Jesus when He was being crucified and the only disciple Jesus trusted to take care of His dear mother after He was gone. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home (John 19:26,27). Even in His dying hour, Jesus did not forget His mother; and John took Mary into his home and took care of her for as long as she lived.

Jesus came as the God-man so we can live and walk today as God-men, God-women and God-boys and girls; but many people have been taught that no one can be like Jesus…and it is true that no one can be without His love. That is why so many people do not talk like Jesus, act like Jesus, work like Him or praise God like Him. Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart (Matthew 11:29). You have to learn about Jesus.

I have no life of my own; I have given it all to the Lord. The Lord has called me unto Himself, and He is calling many of you into that place, too. We don’t have much time left to work. When Jesus was here, He said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

Jesus loves you so much that He came all the way from Heaven for you. Then He went to the whipping post and on to Calvary where He gave His blood to wash away all your sins. He loves you so much that He is coming again for you very soon, and He gave you the signs of His coming to look for. Jesus said, When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:28). We can now see those signs being fulfilled; so I have my head lifted high today, and you must, too.

No Power without Love

Because of the lack of divine love, there are more spiritually dead churches on Earth today than any other kind. Their people are not full of truth and love, and they do not belong to God.They do not speak the love language, and that has separated more congregations than anything else. However, a church whose people speak the same language of love is a church that grows and prospers. It is a soul-saving station where people are coming to God all the time.

The world is in an awful condition today because ministers have become spiritually dried up, and they only talk about sports and current events on Sunday mornings. They have a form of godliness, but they have denied the power of God. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (II Timothy 3:2-5).

When you do not have the love of God, you have denied His power; and you cannot have His power, His salvation or His baptism in the Holy Spirit without first love. You cannot have any of the nine fruits of the Spirit either because you must have the Holy Ghost to have those divine fruits. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22,23).

Love is the first fruit of the Spirit; and the Bible says, By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). You must love one another without any backbiting, criticizing or judging. People who get grouchy do not have love.

When the Lord saved me, He gave me the love I needed to love my enemies; but there is a difference between love and like. You may not like the ways of some people, but you must love their souls. Even God does not like the ungodly or unholy things people do, and the Bible says God cannot look upon sin. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13). That does not mean God cannot see sin; it means He will not favor it or accept it no matter where He finds it. You cannot like anything that is wrong either, even if it is in your own blood children, because that would mean you are covering up for sin and unrighteousness.

Love Does Not Sin

Sin will send a soul to hell just as it sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, and we have no record that they ever got back to God. God had made Adam in great love; and when He saw that Adam was lonely, He made Eve for him. God had made her in perfection, but Adam would have been better off lonely than to have had a woman like the one Eve turned out to be.

God let me know that He did not look into the future to see if Adam and Eve were going to sin because He wanted man and woman to trust Him, so He knew He had to trust them, too. God is a loving, upright God, but Adam and Eve chose to do wrong just like people today do no matter how much love God shows them.

Adam and Eve brought about all the sin that is in the world today when they failed, and that is why all people are born in sin and iniquities. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5). Because of sin, we all need a Savior. The Bible says we all came into the world in sin. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

You must not sin but rather do things that are pleasing in God’s sight; and when you love Jesus, that is what love will do. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him [Jesus], because we keep his [love] commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight (I John 3:22). Like Enoch, we must please God in this final hour. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God (Hebrews 11:5). If I were to go to Heaven before the Rapture takes place, all I would want on my headstone would be, “He pleased God.”

The Bible tells us six things to think on that will please Him. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). When you think on those things, the devil cannot fill your mind with anything false because all six of those things are full of truth, righteousness and holiness.

Love Requires Discipline

We all must have discipline, but discipline without love does no good. That is why you have to accept God’s love and His discipline; but He said that if you do not accept His discipline, you are a bastard in His sight. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons (Hebrews 12:6,8).

Love also carries profound responsibility. You cannot have much of God’s love unless you take responsibility for it and use it, but how much do you use God’s love? Do you use it for yourself so you can see right, hear right, talk right and work right? God’s love will do that for you if you will yield to it; but if you do not yield to love, you cannot yield to truth.

God wants you to know that you will have to answer to Him for how you use His love. Children of God will not have to answer to Him for sins they committed before they were saved because those have all been washed away; but you will have to face God on the judgment of love, saith the Lord.

What have you done with God’s love? How many times have you failed to give a Jesus smile to somebody who had a cold heart of sin? How many times have you not gone the extra mile to help someone when the Lord told you to? How many poor sinners have you passed by who were close to hell, ones whom the Lord said you could pluck as brands from the fire?

On the Day of Rewards, you are going to be judged on the basis of love. God has given you plenty of love; but do you serve only thimblefuls or does it pour forth from you like rivers? Does it pour forth in your voice and from your eyes, and do you have ears of love that listen to others with understanding? Jesus went to Calvary so that each one of us can freely use Heaven’s love, so why would you even think about using anything less?

We must be love workers and love thinkers. We must have love vision and love hearing, and we must move and have our being in love or we are living outside the realm of love. Man was not created to live outside of love, and that is why people and even many Christians have had such a hard time. You must have love if you want to have real life.

Love Must Come First

You have already learned that you are nothing without the love of God, yet some people still think they would be someone important if they were rich; but that is not so. You are only somebody great when you find Jesus, and the story of the rich, young ruler tells us so. And when he [Jesus] was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him…Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions (Mark 10:17-22).

That young ruler was sad when Jesus told him he had to get rid of his money, but Jesus told him that because the man loved money better than he loved God. He told Jesus he had kept God’s commandments, but he really had not because he did not love the Lord God with all of his heart as the Bible says we should. And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

The young ruler had broken that commandment; and the Bible says that if you break one of God’s commandments, you have broken them all. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all (James 2:10). The rich, young ruler thought he was somebody important, but he went away from Jesus a nobody and no doubt died that way because I do not believe he ever returned to Jesus.

Blood love is the secret to never being separated from God. The devil can’t do anything with blood love or destroy that love in you unless he can separate you from it. Paul asked, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword (Romans 8:35)? Then Paul answered his own question saying, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39).

Not even in death will we be separated from the love of God. We will just step into that heavenly city where everybody loves one another and speaks the love language.

Living Water and the Word

You must drink the water of life so it will flow from your innermost being through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). To believe on Jesus like this verse tells us to means you must love Him with all of your heart because there is no living water without love. The Earth was without the living water until Jesus came and made a Calvary for us. He brought the love river down to us, and rivers of living water began to flow without measure.

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (John 7:39). That verse says this spake he of the Spirit because the Holy Ghost had not yet been given at that time. The living water only comes through the Holy Ghost.

The Bible tells us in Romans that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). The word “shed” means “to pour out, to cause to flow, to spread about, radiate or impart”; and the Holy Ghost is the one who sheds abroad and flows the love of God through you like mighty rivers.

Those waters cannot flow unless you dine on the Word daily. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). It takes God’s love to believe His love Book because it was written with all the love of Heaven. God poured it through holy men, and just think of the great love they must have received direct from Heaven as God gave them His Word.

You must realize that there are more things not said in the Bible than God had room to say. That is why you need the Holy Spirit to help you when you are studying the Word because you will find more between the lines than you will ever find on the lines. Have you ever noticed that when you are real close to God and your mind is fertile, every time you read the Bible you get something new from it? That comes through the Holy Spirit, and you may not even know it. Not until you are reaching for and getting the love that is pouring forth between the lines will you get all the benefits of the Word of the living God.

In my home, the Bible was the Book of all books. It was the Word of God, and none of us ever had a reason to doubt any of it. We were taught to honor the Word, and it made all the difference in the world because it was alive and in action in our home. When we were growing up, my parents did not cram the Word down our throats. We had family prayer; and during that time, Daddy would just read a couple of verses to us and then pray.

Families that really prayed together stayed together, but so many families no longer pray together. Parents do not think it is necessary, but God does. I know what it meant to my life, and I do not know where I would be today if there had not been a family altar in my home because the truth was there.

People no longer take time with their children like they should, and parents do not stand together. One parent should never criticize the other in front of the children; it will not work. If one parent is saved and the other is not, the one who is saved must be the one to show love because so many people today do not know what real love is.

Receive Perfect Love

I want to emphasize again that love is the first thing God serves you when you are saved; and if you remain His child, you can keep that love for all eternity just as you can always keep the love of loving human beings in your heart. If you had a loving mother like I had, nobody can ever take that love away from you.

If you are lost and undone without God and going through many troubles, love is the answer for your life. Some who are close to you may not agree, but you must agree with the Lord and with the truth that love is the answer.

If you are not saved, you must get ready for the soon coming of the Lord; so say this prayer right now: Oh, God, I am lost, and I do not have your love. I have not kept your love commandments, and I have failed you. I confess that I am lost and that I have shamed you. You have given me such love, and I have not used it; but I will, Lord. I am so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home. Please forgive me and roll away all of my sins through the blood of Jesus, and I will serve you and serve others your love for the rest of my life.

I believe I am now forgiven and that I have your love. Now, I will go on to the Upper Room and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the power from On High I need to do your wonderful works.

It is marvelous to give your heart to the Lord and to walk away free and full of love. You should feel more like flying than walking. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36).

Divine Healing Is Yours

If you are sick and afflicted, Jesus is your healer; and He will heal you today. Lord, here they are. Some of these people may be dead before another day passes unless you heal them, and others will have no rest in this world unless you heal them. Lord, I know what it is like to be dying when you want to live. You gave me life, and you can give them life. Heal! in the all-powerful, blood-name of Jesus.

The healing power is flowing to you; just lift up your hands and take a miracle all over and be healed of everything today. This power is there wherever you are, so accept it as it flows to you and be thou made whole. Then give the Lord all the praise, the honor and the glory.

If you are ready to meet the Lord today, then help us to get people all over the world ready. Jesus said He would come, and He will; and remember that there is no end to perfect love. We all must have it to be on the one flight out.
