To patiently wait on God means to stand steadfast despite opposition and adversity and look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Being patient means to remain calm and not be annoyed with waiting, so you must never try to hurry God.

Patience comes by obeying the Lord and His Word in all things. You can’t run ahead of God in your own inspiration or lag behind Him in your feelings. You must learn to calm down, turn things over to the Lord and wait on Him. When you are not willing to do that, it means you don’t want God’s divine will.

I never want God’s permissible will, only His divine will; and if you live right and obey the Lord, you will want only God’s divine will, too. Then you can close your prayers as Jesus did saying, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).

Some of you pray with doubt, but the Lord can’t work with doubt. Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). He also said, Ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). God doesn’t want you to beg; He said to ask.

Being patient means you will manifest forbearance under strain. Are you calm when you are under stress, or do you forget all about patience when someone does something wrong to you? If you say, “I’m not going to put up with this. I’m going to give them what they deserve,” that is the wrong way to react.

Patience through the Holy Ghost

Patience will help you to hold on and be just what the Lord wants you to be, and you can do that by yielding to the Holy Ghost. He is the great teacher, but you have to be patient if you want to learn from Him. The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).

The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

Jesus taught that the Spirit of truth would live and dwell inside of us. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).

You must let the Holy Ghost teach you how to be patient; but you must also know that when you seek patience, you will have to be ready to face plenty of tribulations. The Bible says, Tribulation worketh patience (Romans 5:3). However, when you give over to the Holy Ghost completely, it will not matter what comes your way. He was sent to keep you in step with God and His Son; and with Him, you will not fail.

The Holy Ghost is the power for service you need. Jesus said, Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). You will never be the witness the Lord is calling for without the Holy Ghost.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the [Holy] Spirit the things of the Spirit (Romans 8:5). Jesus brought everything we need, but you must have the Holy Ghost to be able to use it all and serve it all.

With the Holy Ghost, you can be one with Jesus and with the Father just as Jesus prayed we would be. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us (John 17:11,20,21).

Get Rid of Weights

You will never run the Lord’s race with divine patience without laying aside everything that is not of Him. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). You must run with God, not the world.

Consider any weights you may have because when you carry weights that hinder you or slow you down, you will not be the witness for God that you should be. Do you have any unnecessary burdens or worries? Jesus said, With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). So you must get rid of all your worries and rejoice knowing that we are getting out of here.

You have to run the race without wasting time. The Bible says, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). You will face evil every day, so you have to redeem the time by drawing closer and closer to God. You can’t spend hours and hours with meaningless things that don’t edify and quicken the inner man.

Redeeming the time also includes using wisdom in dealing with people who are unsaved. The Bible says, Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time (Colossians 4:5). When you are around lost souls, they must know that you are different.

Weights of the Mind

Wrong imaginations can be weights. Casting down imaginations [those of devil or self], and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5).

God wants you to use your imagination, but don’t let it rise up above the things of God. You can imagine that something great is going to happen for you tomorrow, or you can imagine that you are going to get healed. Imaginations are good if you imagine the right things; but if you have the wrong kind of imagination, the devil can use it.

Wrong opinions and wrong desires are of the flesh, and they are weights. If you are opinionated, you won’t be patient with God. If your desires are not pleasing to the Lord, you are headed down the wrong road. You must delight only in God, and then He will give you the desires of your heart. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4).

Some of you have weights that are so much a part of you that you don’t even know they are weights. Self-pity is one of those weights, and it is awful to see people pitying themselves and whimpering like children. Paul said, When I became a man, I put away childish things (I Corinthians 13:11).

Pouting is a terrible weight, and God can’t stand it. Pouters want attention so they can have things their way, so the best way to cure them is to pay no attention to them. Pouting, self-pity and other such weights slow you down because you waste hours wallowing in them, and you become more concerned about yourself than you are about following God’s way.

Battles of the mind are also weights, and they can really wear you down. The Bible says, Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind (I Peter 4:1). You can have a clear mind and not be weighted down with battles of the mind if you let the Word and the Holy Spirit flush everything unlike God out of your mind. Now, that doesn’t mean you are backslidden if you don’t have a clear mind; it just means that you are letting the devil rob you of the peace you could have.

Turn Everything over to God

Only by having patience can you take your burdens to Jesus. He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). That rest is for soul, mind and body; but some of you never get that rest because you won’t turn things over to the Lord. You are always burdened down when the Bible says, Be careful [anxious or worried] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). Put everything and every enemy under the blood and praise the Lord for victory.

The burdens of life are heavy, but the Lord’s burden is light. Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:29,30).

The Lord’s burden for His children is winning lost souls, and the joy you will get from bringing those souls into the Kingdom will make the Lord’s burden seem so light. He wants you to turn everything over to Him and carry the burden for the lost, and He will see to it that that burden doesn’t get you down.

Jesus told us we are not to worry about tomorrow. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof (Matthew 6:34). Just accept the anointings God is offering you today, and everything you need will be within your reach on the table of the Lord; and you can reach for those things daily.

Don’t Let the Devil Battle Your Mind

You must seek for and use God’s anointings because we are living in an hour in which the battles of the mind are the fieriest battles for the children of God. We are in the arena, so to speak, and roaring lions are coming against our minds like never before. You must always be on guard and recognize what is coming against you, or you will doubt your salvation and your baptism in the Holy Ghost.

Some children of God have been battled so much that they thought God had left them, but that was not so. The Bible says, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy (I Peter 4:12,13).

The devil is the one who is battling your mind, but he does not want you to know that. He is pointing his finger at every problem, thing or person but himself. That is why you have to recognize your enemy and resist him. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Spray him with the divine blood, and go on your way.

You must always seek the ways and the thoughts of God. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). And God’s thoughts are very deep. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep (Psalm 92:5).

When you have the right thoughts, you will have more than enough of whatever you need. The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want (Proverbs 21:5).

Get Quiet with the Word

You will never receive all that you need without spending quiet time with the Lord. The Bible says, Study to be quiet (I Thessalonians 4:11). Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah (Psalm 4:4).

When God said through Isaiah, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18), He was saying, “Come and let’s talk.” You have to get away from people and get quiet before God every day. How much time you spend is up to you and the Lord, but your time with Him should be brighter than any other time of the day. As you reach higher and higher in Him, His glory will come upon you; and the power of God will surround you.

Quiet time with the Lord will enable you to trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil (Proverbs 3:5-7). When you do that, you will have no fear; and God will serve you His best.

The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You have to keep your spirit refreshed with God’s Word as Jeremiah did. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts (Jeremiah 15:16).

You must dine on the Word daily. It is your help in time of need, and it is food for your soul. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word (Psalm 119:28). When so much is happening in your life that your soul seems to be melting with heaviness, realize it is just the fiery trials you are going through. Job knew all about fiery trials; and he said, Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees (Job 4:4).

The Word must be your safety. When there are things you don’t understand, take them to the Word. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5).

When you keep the Word, you will bring forth fruit with patience. In explaining the parable of the sower, Jesus said, But that on the good ground are they [seeds, which represent people], which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience (Luke 8:15).

Fight God’s Way

To patiently continue in well-doing, you must give yourself completely to God; and then you can have the powers that Jesus had when He was here. Jesus took on the fashion of a man to show us how to use all that He brought for us. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8).

Don’t constantly fight with your own spirit because that will always be a losing battle. Instead, use God’s weaponry. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (II Corinthians 10:3,4).

With God, you can destroy all the works of the devil; but when you fight and war with your own weapons of self, you won’t tear down any strongholds. You will only reap confusion, and that is not of God. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (I Corinthians 14:33).

You will never be confused if you believe what God says and act on it through divine faith. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded (I Peter 2:6).

Turn to the truth, the Word of the living God. It will set you free. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). You must worship God in truth. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

Do Not Live in Fear

The anointing of God will break all your yokes of bondage, those of the mind as well as of the soul. And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). Don’t depend on somebody else’s anointing to help you because God has an anointing for every one of us, and we can have as much of His anointing as we want and need.

His anointing will give you a sound mind. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7). With that mind, there is no need to pray, “Oh, God, deliver me from this fear!” All you have to do is ask Him for more of His love because perfect love casts out all fear. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18).

When people become afraid, they tend to draw back and want to hide; and in doing so, they often hide the talents that God has given them just as one of the servants in the parable of the talents did. He said, And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine (Matthew 25:25).

That servant’s master was displeased, and the servant was punished. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness (Matthew 25:26-30).

God’s Help Is Always There

You don’t have to fear this hour; you can live in God’s peace through divine love and faith. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

God does not give as the world gives. The world offers sinful things, and the devil calls that peace; but there is no real, lasting peace anywhere in the world without the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Stand in awe, and sin not (Psalm 4:4). Divine peace will conquer all trouble and persecution.

You will always find help in time of trouble before the throne of grace. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Hold on to God and His right way, and you will grow stronger and stronger in the Lord. The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger (Job 17:9). Then even though you are in the arena, you can overcome through the blood of the Lamb and His Word. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony [the Word of God they used in their testimony]; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11).

Rewarded for Well-Doing

To them who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life (Romans 2:7). Well-doing cannot be done just once in a while. You must patiently continue in well-doing if you want the glory, honor and immortality of Heaven.

The Bible says, Let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9). To “faint not” means not to draw back from God’s love and faith. Isaiah, the prophet, wrote: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Your physical and spiritual strength will be renewed when you wait on God with patience and never draw back.

You will suffer for your well-doing; but the Bible says, For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well-doing, than for evil-doing (I Peter 3:17). Through faith in God, you will always be safe; but evildoers will not be. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it (Psalm 37:34).

God Will Keep You

When you have committed all to God in well-doing, you can commit your soul to Him for safekeeping knowing that He is faithful to keep all that you have committed to Him. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well-doing, as unto a faithful Creator (I Peter 4:19). God is faithful to all of His promises. He has never failed one person, but mankind has failed Him many times.

Paul knew he could rely on God; and he said, I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day (II Timothy 1:12).

Jude had that same confidence in God. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen (Jude 1:24,25).

When you are being tried, you can’t allow discouragement to set in and steal your joy. Just patiently wait on the Lord, and He will strengthen your heart. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD (Psalm 27:14). “To wait” means to stay in one place until an expected event happens, so you must stay in the Word and in the anointing until God fulfills all that He said He would.

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD (Lamentations 3:22-26). Children of God have salvation for their souls now; but that salvation will be complete when we are delivered from this Earth, walk down the avenue of Glory and look into the face of God.

Never Turn Away

Some will not continue on but will turn away because it is easier to do that than it is to diligently seek the Lord and His ways. It is easier to travel the broad road of the world because it is the path of least resistance and opposition. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14).

You must keep your eyes on Jesus and His truth so you don’t turn back when trials come your way. People turned away in Christ’s day just because Jesus made a few statements they didn’t like. From that time many of his [Jesus’] disciples went back, and walked no more with him (John 6:66). Unfortunately, they are in hell today.

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life (John 6:67,68). Always remember that the Lord has the words of truth and eternal life, and you can’t get to Heaven without them. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).

People are still turning away today. Many churches no longer preach the truth, and they say that nobody can live free from sin when the Bible plainly says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). God never tells anyone to do one thing that they cannot do. When Jesus was here, He said, Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14).

Jesus is only coming for a sinless Bride without spots, wrinkles or blemishes. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). A blemish can be something so tiny that you have to have a magnifying glass to see it, but the Word of God is a spiritual magnifying glass that reveals even the smallest speck of sin.

God Sees Your Work

There may be times when you feel that your labor is in vain, but don’t pay attention to your feelings. Patiently continue in well-doing and remain steadfast in your work for the Lord because what you do for the Lord is never in vain. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (I Corinthians 15:58).

People may forget what you do for the Lord, but God never forgets your labors of love; and He is the only one who really matters anyway. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).

God is faithful to all those who put Him first. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:11,12).

When you claim the promises God’s way, they are yours. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9). But some people don’t want to fast, pray and spend time in His presence to have those promises fulfilled.

When you are being battled, never give in to your feelings or fear; and never cast away your confidence in God and His Word. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise (Hebrews 10:35,36). God’s answer does not always come right away, not even after a long fast of 40 days; but when you have done all you can do, just close your case. Then praise the Lord knowing that the answer will come as you patiently wait.

Press On God wants to use His true children just as He used His Only Begotten Son. Jesus paid a great price for us, so we must serve Him with no regrets. With patience, we must finish life’s race as we bring in the sheaves of lost souls. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him (Psalm 126:6). The way will not be easy, and there is a price to pay; but you can make it. Just be patient and endure hardness like a good soldier. Thou therefore endure [with patience] hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (II Timothy 2:3). Paul could say that because he always pressed on. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). Jesus said, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Jesus suffered and died to give you eternal life, so He will never forget you; and He won’t let you go through harder places than He went through. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint [draw back] in your minds (Hebrews 12:3). Jesus endured with patience. He was patient with sinners who came against Him and persecuted Him in awful ways, and He patiently went to Calvary for you and me. Through patience, you must obey God in all things and always take time to see His great hand in your life. It will hold you close to the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. No Well-Doing without Salvation This message has given you the truth, but it will do you no good unless you accept it. Sinner, you need to come to Jesus, or you will go to hell. You never know when your heart will stop beating because your life is in the Lord’s hands. He can cut off your breath at any time when you are not glorifying Him, and a sinner never glorifies God. If you are a sinner or a backslider, say this prayer and come to Jesus right now. Don’t wait any longer or it might be too late. Oh, God, I am lost, and I am walking in the night. I know Jesus died for my sins and spilled His blood so I would not go to hell. I am so sorry that I have failed you, dear Jesus, but I will never fail again. Forgive me of all my sins. I know there is power in your divine blood to wash them all away. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, now you can say, “Hallelujah! Jesus has come. Hallelujah! I have salvation, and I am going to Heaven.” That is the most wonderful thing that could ever happen to you. You have your passport for Heaven, and don’t ever lose it. That passport brings eternal life; but if you lose it, you will have eternal death. God Will Deliver You If you are sick and afflicted, let the Lord heal you through His unending love just as He has already delivered millions through this Jesus ministry. I am not your healer; God is the healer, and I am just His true witness. Oh, God, here the people are with all kinds of diseases. Some of them will be dead in a short while without your healing, but you will heal them as long as they give you all the glory, all the honor and all the praise. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Believe that and close your case just like the woman did who had the issue of blood. For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole (Matthew 9:21). Decide you are going to get well and start praising God for your miracle. Then write and tell me about what He did for you. Divine miracles and healings are real!
