And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11). You will always be an overcomer when you have the blood of Jesus working in your life, but many people don’t know that there is overcoming power from Heaven in the blood.

God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost used divine blood to create man and woman; and God placed them in the Garden of Eden. Divine blood flowed through their veins, and they had overcoming power to serve God in total obedience.

God made Adam and Eve special from all the other creatures because He made them in His own image. God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:27). Then He breathed a living soul into them, so their souls came from the very breath of God.

When people support the theory that man evolved from apes, it’s an insult to God because they are rejecting the truth about creation He put in His Word. People can come up with as many theories as they want to, but they can’t change the fact that God exists and that He is the creator of Heaven, Earth and all living things great and small.

When God made Adam and Eve, He placed them in Eden to rule over all the creatures. They had divine protection and overcoming power working in their lives; but when they gave in to temptation and chose to sin, they lost all divinity.

The devil does everything in his power to get Christians to willfully sin against God because he knows they will fail if they lose their divine protection. The devil knows the power of the blood, and he knows who is yielding to the blood and who isn’t.

The Ministry of the Blest Cloth

During the Early Church, great works of God were done; and many people were delivered and set free from demonic spirits. Paul went forth preaching the Gospel; and the Bible says, God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:11,12).

Those handkerchiefs or aprons are like the blest cloths used in this ministry, and thousands of people have been healed through the blest cloths. The cloth itself doesn’t heal; it is the anointing of God in the cloth, and that anointing comes through the overcoming power in the blood of Jesus. The anointing is the presence of God. You can’t separate the anointing from the blood, and you can’t have one without the other.

Paul gave those anointed handkerchiefs or aprons to people; and when he did, he was giving them overcoming power to destroy the works of the devil in their lives. You are doing the same thing when you give a blest cloth from this ministry to someone in need because every blest cloth is prayed over and anointed by God, and deliverance can only come about through the overcoming power in the blood.

The Blood Overcomes Demons

The Early Church used overcoming power to cast out devils and set people free. Seven sons of a Jewish priest saw those deliverances and wanted to get in on the action, so they attempted to perform an exorcism on a man who was demon possessed. The problem was that they didn’t have the overcoming power of the blood of Jesus working in their lives, so they had a rude awakening. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded (Acts 19:15, 16).

Your soul must be sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ if you want to use that blood to overcome the devil. If your soul is not covered in the blood, the powers of the devil will overcome you just like they did those seven sons of that Jewish priest.

Some years ago, Rev. Angley interviewed a former witchdoctor who had done some terrible things while under the influence of the devil. He would cast spells on people, and terrible things would happen to them. The more he practiced witchcraft the more power he craved from the devil, and that just opened the door for more demons to possess him. But God’s grace and mercy intervened; and through the overcoming power in the blood, he was delivered and set free from all the demonic spirits that had bound him.

One of the things Rev. Angley specifically wanted to know from the witchdoctor was if he was able to cast a spell on or do anything against a true child of God. His answer was no. He said he couldn’t touch a true child of God. Rev. Angley already knew that the blood of Jesus protects God’s children, but he wanted that witchdoctor to confirm it himself.

When you are blood washed, you have divine protection against the devil and his demons; and you can use the blood to be an overcomer. The Lord doesn’t want you to live in fear or torment. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love (I John 4:18). Perfect love comes only through the blood of Jesus.

Worship Only the Divine God

Adam and Eve had overcoming power in the beginning when they lived in the Garden of Eden; but when they sinned against God, they lost it all. Jesus had to come to Earth to make it possible for you and me to have the power we need to overcome the dominion of sin. For as by one man's [Adam’s] disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one [Jesus] shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:19).

The only way to be righteous is through the blood of Jesus Christ. Your own self-righteousness is as filthy rags in the eyes of God. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away (Isaiah 64:6). Only the overcoming power in the divine blood of Jesus can change a heart that is vile and wicked into a heart that is pure, holy and clean; and that blood is available to everybody.

Many people would like to have a relationship with God, but they don’t know how to. There are so many different religions today, and many people are trying to connect with a higher being; but they are looking in all the wrong places, and many are worshiping an unknown God. Paul witnessed that during his ministry. Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you (Acts 17:22,23).

Paul went on to explain to the people that the real God made Earth and all things in it, and God doesn’t dwell in temples made by hands. Paul said, Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:29,30). Unfortunately, many people didn’t yield to Paul’s Gospel message, and many aren’t yielding today. They won’t repent so they can receive Christ’s overcoming power, but you can’t let that stop you from spreading the Gospel message.

No Sin in the Blood

Some people think they have a relationship with God when they are living a life of sin; but the Bible says, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his [God’s] seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (I John 3:9).

If you are a sinner, you can’t have a relationship with the Lord because the Bible says you are of the devil. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). I say again that you must be born again to have overcoming power through the blood of Jesus.

Paul wrote, But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13). You can’t be close to God unless you have been cleansed through the blood of Jesus. Those who live in sin and think they have a relationship with God are deceived. Only when you become a child of God can you have overcoming blood power available to you.

Use the Blood

How do you use the power in the blood to defeat the devil? First, you have to believe the blood Jesus shed on Calvary almost 2000 years ago is still available today. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). When a person goes to Calvary, they must have faith to believe that the blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse them from their sins even though they can’t see it. Only through that overcoming power can you be delivered of sin and sickness, and that blood is so powerful that just one drop can set the whole world free.

Second, you must have confidence in the power in the blood. Those in the Bible who used the blood power had faith to believe in its power. At the moment a sinner repents at Calvary, they have the faith and the confidence needed to believe that the blood of Jesus will cleanse their soul. Then when they give their heart completely to the Lord, they are cleansed and made a brand-new creature in Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).

Many Christians do not realize that Christ’s overcoming power is meant to be used not just for their soul but also for their mind and body throughout their Christian life. The devil is going to attack you whenever he can, but he can’t get to your soul when it is covered by the blood; so he goes after your mind and your body.

Child of God, if you are suffering in mind and body, it doesn’t mean you are failing. The devil is after you, but you can be an overcomer through the blood. The devil is searching for people he can torment, but he can’t stand the blood; so when you use it against him, you will receive deliverance. The Bible says, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

You Can Have Living Water

Jesus said, And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). Jesus Christ is the water of life; and when you reach out for that living water, you are reaching out for the divine blood of Jesus.

When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well, He offered her living water. She had five husbands, and the man she was currently with was not her husband. She was living in sin, and the Bible doesn’t say how long she had been doing that; but the blood set her free. I’m sure she had no idea she was going to receive overcoming power when she woke up that day.

Today, many people are living in the same type of sinful relationship. They live together in fornication or adultery without ever bothering to get married. You can’t be a child of God and live that way. A true child of God lives a pure, clean, holy life.

The Samaritan woman, no doubt, was looking for love; but the best she was ever going to find in the world was human love, and that is never enough. She didn’t know she could have divine love until Jesus spoke to her at the well. He offered her living water, and she accepted it so she would never thirst again. Then her soul became blood washed, and she instantly received overcoming power.

True Love Comes from God

What is in the divine blood of Jesus that makes it so powerful? The main ingredient is divine love, and that love is much greater than human love. Study the 13th chapter of I Corinthians to find out what the Lord considers true love to be. Many people think they love others with true love, but that is mostly just talk. True, divine love is kind and longsuffering. It doesn’t envy, and it’s not full of ego.

If you have a problem with someone, you need to examine yourself and find out why. Did they do or say something to you that bruised your ego and made you really upset? Ego comes about because of the image you have of yourself. Someone who has a big ego thinks their self-worth is more important and valuable than that of others, and they will brag about themselves; but ego is of the devil. There is no ego in true love.

You can’t have the fruits of the Spirit working in your life when you are full of ego, and the Lord can’t use you. Many preachers have failed because they were full of ego, and God couldn’t use them in any great way. Many of them may have thought they were being used, but the devil had deceived them. Only the humble can use the divine blood of Jesus to overcome the powers of the enemy.

Peter Needed Divine Love

True love isn’t selfish; it’s selfless. Jesus said, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). When you are full of God’s love, you will be willing to lay down your life for Jesus and for others to receive Him. Your willingness to do that or not do that will tell you how much love you really have for God.

Peter thought he was willing to lay down his life for Jesus; and he even told Him so saying, I will lay down my life for thy sake (John 13:37). But as it turned out, Peter didn’t have the love for Jesus he thought he did; and Jesus knew it. Jesus said to Peter, Wilt thou [really] lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice (John 13:38).

Not too long after that, Peter’s life was in danger. Things didn’t go the way he thought they should, and Peter did deny Jesus just like Jesus had said he would. Peter was weak in the love department; but after Christ’s resurrection, Peter did finally take on divine love. And in the end, Peter did lay down his life for the Gospel message.

Divine Love Works

If you want to freely use the divine blood, you must have that blood working in your life because the Bible says in I Corinthians 13:2 that we are nothing without love. How can you know if you have divine love working in you? First of all, if you don’t have love for all of God’s people, you don’t have divine love working in you; and you are deceived if you think you do. Jesus said, By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35).

It was divine love that sent Jesus to this Earth to be born of a virgin. It was divine love that took Him to the whipping post so we could have healing for soul, mind and body. It was divine love that took Him to Calvary to die on the Cross for you and me. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24).

You can’t separate divine love from the divine blood of Jesus. The devil hates both of those things, and that is why the blood has power over him. Only love can destroy hate; so when a person is not completely submitted to God, hate can move in and destroy the love that was once there.

Live in God's Divine Will

When Jesus was on Earth, His ministry was a healing ministry. The Bible says, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). God was able to be with Jesus all the time because Jesus was completely submitted to the will of the Father.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Submitting to God means surrendering yourself completely to God’s will and authority in your life. God’s permissible will is not included in the definition of submission. Why would you want to settle for God’s permissible will for your life when you can have God’s divine will?

When you don’t choose God’s divine will, you can’t freely use His overcoming power to fight the devil. Don’t you want to have victories, miracles and healings in your life? They can only take place through the overcoming power in the divine blood. To have it all, you must serve the Lord with your whole heart.

Jesus Sets People Free

You can’t be a great worker for the Lord when God’s divine love is not flowing through you. Jesus was a great worker for the Father because He had great divine love. Mary Magdalene was a woman of the streets, and Jesus cast seven devils out of her. Then she also became a worker for the Lord.

Legion was a man who had thousands of demons in him, and they caused him to be out of control. He must have been a very scary sight as he wandered among the tombs and cut himself. People tried to chain him, but nothing could keep him bound because the powers of Satan had such a strong hold on him. But when Jesus used His overcoming power to pray for Legion, that man was instantly set free from devil bondage and came into his right mind.

Legion was then filled with divine love, and he wanted to follow Jesus wherever He went and help Him; but Jesus told him to go home and tell his friends about His divine compassion and the great things the Lord had done for him. Legion didn’t get upset with Jesus or question Him. He was obedient to the Lord’s request; and we know that because the Bible says, He departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel (Mark 5:20). Legion was set free through the overcoming power in the blood, and he went on to help others find Jesus.

Both Mary Magdalene and Legion are wonderful examples of people who were set free from the bondage of sin and became workers for the Lord, but you can’t be a great worker for the Lord if God’s divine love isn’t flowing through you. Because of divine love, so many lives were changed when Jesus lived on Earth; and many more have been changed since that time.

Let the Blood Work Through You

Jesus has given us the same overcoming power He used so we can help others be delivered. Jesus said, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17). Jesus had so much to offer people when He was on Earth, but most of them were shortsighted; and the same is true today.

The day after Jesus had performed a miracle to feed 5000 men with just five loaves and two fish, people were seeking Him; and Jesus said to them, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed (John 6:26,27). Jesus promises you overcoming power, but you have to reach for it; and you have to reach for the right reason. Don’t settle for meat that perishes; reach for the meat that endures forever—the divine blood of Jesus.

The Early Church disciples had divine blood flowing within, and that is why God was able to work through them in such wonderful ways. One day when Peter and John were going up to the temple to pray, there was a man who was lame from his mother’s womb sitting by the gate begging. Apparently, a lot of people knew him because he was there every day.

When Peter and John approached the man, he asked them for some money; and Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk (Acts 3:6). Peter had something more valuable than money to give that man. He had the overcoming power in the blood of Jesus, and the man instantly received his miracle. All the people who were there saw that power in action, and it gave them faith to believe.

Peter then spoke to those people, and the Bible says about five thousand of them believed because of the overcoming power that was working in his life. Miracles can bring reality to people who may not be aware that there is overcoming power in the blood of Jesus. That is why it is so important for every child of God to testify and let others know what God has done for them.

Be a Witness for Christ

It’s up to you whether or not you will be a witness for the Lord in this final hour. If you have received a healing or a miracle, God wants you to share it. The greatest miracle of all is the miracle of salvation, so every child of God has something to testify about.

Jesus came to Earth and died on the Cross so we could use the overcoming power in the blood to destroy the works of the devil, and He left us with all the tools we need to continue doing that. Jesus Christ [and His power] the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Are you using the blood to defeat the works of the devil?

It's sad that many churches have not accepted the overcoming power in the blood, and they think miracles and healings are not for today. The Bible plainly says, The church of God, which he [Jesus] hath purchased with his own blood (Acts 20:28). After such a great sacrifice, why are churches not using the overcoming power in the blood?

The power in the blood is available to every person on Earth, but many don’t believe in it and won’t reach for it. God needs every witness He can get in this final hour, and it’s your responsibility to be a yielded vessel He can use.

Power for Salvation

The overcoming power in the blood is available today for any of us just like it was in Bible days, and you can be set free no matter what you are suffering with. Deliverance for soul, mind and body comes through the blood; and it’s available to you right now.

Friend, I would like to give you an opportunity to let the blood of Jesus wash you clean and make you whole all over. God will never again remember your sins against you when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart. It doesn’t matter what you have done in your past; the blood of Jesus will make you brand new.

Pray with me now and say, Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me of all of my sins. I have come home, and I will serve you for the rest of my life. I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in, Jesus. Amen.

Friend, if you meant that prayer, you have Jesus Christ in your heart. Now, be like Legion and Mary Magdalene and go tell others about Jesus. Be a witness for Him in this final hour. It doesn’t matter what your situation is because everything changes when you have Jesus Christ in your heart. You can be a blessing to the Kingdom; the choice is up to you.

Power for a Miracle

Now that you have Jesus in your heart, let’s get your miracle for you. It doesn’t matter what sickness or disease may be in your body; the overcoming power in the blood of Jesus can set you free from whatever bondage you may be in. Just let the Lord move for you right now.

Heavenly Father, you know what the people have need of today. Break their bondages and set them free through the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, I curse every sickness and every disease in their bodies, in the name of Jesus. Heal them all, I pray, in the holy, blood name of Jesus Christ. Lord, wrap your loving arms around them and let them feel your holy presence come upon them. Make them mighty witnesses for you in this final hour. Bring souls across their paths so they can tell others about you. Amen.
