But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Oh, for a faith that will not shrink, a faith steadfast, a faith that faces the enemies of God without flinching! That’s the kind of faith we want working in our hearts—a faith powerful enough to stop the mouths of lions, to quench the violence of fire. We want a faith so strong that it will separate waters, penetrate darkness, give light to those who have never seen the light of God. Oh, for a faith that can speak to human hearts and make the sick well, deliver them from all manner of sickness and disease! Oh, for the all-powerful faith of the Almighty God! That’s the kind of faith we want.

Give us a faith that has such love, the love of Heaven, a faith we can carry in our bosoms, enabling us to speak words of faith and love to others. Give us a faith that has peace in it, the peace of God, faith that will comfort a human heart no matter the darkness, the storms of life. Oh, for such a faith!

Give us, oh Lord, faith that destroys all fear, faith so potent fear can never, never win one moment that we have left on planet Earth. Oh, for a faith that knows no fear, a faith that holds only love, the love of God! Oh, for a faith that will make us strong daily in the things of God, that will keep us walking in the way of the Almighty, a faith that whispers, “Jesus loves you,” and shouts, “Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you!” A faith that works as powerfully in the valleys when everything’s going wrong as it does on the highest mountain peaks is the faith we cry for.

Oh, for a faith that can stand by the body of a loved one whose eyes have closed in death, faith that will speak out saying that that one is not really dead. Why? Because Jesus lives, the loved one will never die. Oh, give us such a faith! Give us the faith that our Master used when He was here on planet Earth, a faith that makes us know our heavenly Father cares, that He loves us.

Oh, for a Faith That Will Never Collapse!

Oh, for a faith that will help us walk the waters of life without discouragement, without frustration, a faith that will destroy all despair, depression. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee (Isaiah 26:3). Oh Lord, give us such a faith! Oh Lord, we need that kind of faith the rest of the journey, faith that cannot be contaminated, faith that cannot be destroyed, faith that will work, that will reach out and declare the miracle done in the name of Jesus!

Don’t look at those who have failed, the ones afraid. Don’t look at people depressed and oppressed, the ones who worry and fret; the Bible tells us to mark the perfect man, and behold the upright (Psalm 37:37), and to examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith (II Corinthians 13:5). See if you have the faith of God. The faith of God is a necessity so important that the Lord made a gift out of it, the gift of faith. Our neediness in this area is emphasized by the Bible which says that God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3)—not human faith, but God’s faith. Human faith bogs down in hopelessness.

Lord, supply us with a faith to keep the spirit of rebellion from ever entering our hearts, a faith that not one doubt of the enemy can penetrate. Furnish us with your faith as a shield of protection.

What will I give for such a faith in return? What will you give in return? All we need do is give all, all of self to Him. “All to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give.”

Oh, for a Faith Full of Courage!

Give us that faith, oh Lord, so we will never fear another valley. Give us that faith, oh Lord, so we will not falter. Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). There was a time when comforting words like these were unnecessary to humanity, but mankind fell in the Garden of Eden. Now Jesus is telling us to be not afraid.

To possess such a faith, a faith so full of courage that the enemy cannot defeat you, you must be pure in heart. The Lord through Joshua said: Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest (Joshua 1:9). That kind of courage comes from above, from God Himself. Oh Lord, give us such a faith, faith like you used, dear Jesus, when you walked the waters, so that we can walk all the waters of life and never go down. Jesus did not go down—Simon did, but not Jesus. Because He walked the waters, we can stay on top of the waters of this life. You do not have to be defeated by the battles of life, by discouragements that come your way, by giants of despair—God’s faith will be with you because God’s grace cannot fail you.

Oh, for a Faith to Live By!

We want faith which tells us that when we live holy like He lived we can speak words of faith and miracles happen. Speak, and we hear the blind cry, “I can see!” Why? Because the faith of Jesus is used; it’s His faith. He brought it and showed us how to use it. He didn’t just drop it off, then rush back to Heaven; He stayed here and showed us how to live His faith. Jesus lived faith before the people with all power, all greatness, all love, for three-and-a-half years. “I showed you how to live,” Jesus is saying to us today; and He is our example.

Through the grace of the Lord, the faith-gift to man flows like mighty rivers from the throne of grace. God wants you to believe Him in all things; in fact He went so far as to say that without faith it is impossible to please him (Hebrews 11:6). Without faith—His faith—you cannot please Him! It’s an impossibility. You need not try; it won’t work. Now the just shall live by faith we learn in Hebrews 10:38. LIVE by it, live IN IT, walk, breathe, pray, fast in faith. Trust in God’s faith, and you will be victorious.

Walk in the faith of God; walk in His love. Use the love of God to walk in the faith and the peace of God.

Haven’t you noticed that when you didn’t use His faith, frustration and despair took over? As the lightning was flashing, the thunder roaring, the devil gloated: “You’re being defeated!” If you used God’s faith, however, that faith said, “There is no defeat in Jesus Christ, and I am in Jesus Christ!” In Jesus Christ you cannot be defeated. Victory is yours. This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (I John 5:4).

Oh, for a Faith to Rise above Valleys!

Don’t ask the world what it thinks about you; look to God. He is the One with the right answers. He will let you know His will. How? Through His marvelous Faith-Book; it tells you how to give yourself over to His faith. In giving yourself to His faith, you see His love and peace flowing. No power is able to overshadow you with a darkness you cannot come out of when the Lord thy God is walking with you. The Lord thy God is with thee when you give yourself to Him. He is your Helper. With His mighty right hand He will hold you up in His love, leaping from mountain top to mountain top in the strength of His power. There are no valleys He shrinks from, for His miracle power fills the valleys.

Oh, for a Faith to Recognize the Favor of God!

Do you have a faith like God’s burning on the altar of your heart? A faith that comes from God, pure as God with the power of God, the strength of God, the love of God, the greatness of God: Do you have it? If so, you possess something that money can’t buy; and you are on your way to that wonderful place called Heaven. Never will we reach Heaven by using human faith alone, but God’s faith is not limited to time or space. When God’s faith goes into action in your life, it carries you all the way to the throne of God.

We want a faith in action, reaching out unafraid of the dangers ahead, not asking, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night (Isaiah 21:11)? No matter the night, God’s faith knows that you have the light, the lamp of God, the Word of God. Regardless of the ocean’s roar, you’ll be all right; you’re in the hands of God. The presence of God and His love are upon you. The faith of God tells you this, that He never closes His eyes of love as He watches over you. You’re the apple of His eye if you’re walking in His faith, in His love. In the sunshine of His grace, you have favor with God; His faith tells you daily you have favor with God when you’re walking His highway of holiness, obeying Him.

Oh, for a Faith That Doesn’t Worry about Tomorrow!

Oh, for a faith that gives such help and strength in time of need, such knowledge and wisdom that we do not have to grope through life, to worry about tomorrow. Some are anxious because they cannot see tomorrow. Looking all the way to Heaven with God’s faith, knowing everything is all right in your life, that you’re pleasing God, is much better than losing sleep over tomorrow. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself (Matthew 6:34). One of these times there won’t be a tomorrow or a next week, but an eternity in Heaven for God’s children. If God were to let you look into tomorrow, it might be someone else’s tomorrow, not yours at all. In other words, your future on Earth could end today. But when you look to Heaven, there’s a future; the Lord has prepared space for you. That means He really wants you, He really cares. Isn’t it great to have a faith that knows when you close your eyes at night Heaven will be yours if you don’t wake? That faith is more valuable than all the gold and silver in the world. In my Father’s house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you (John 14:2). You’re going to live on and on as the eternal ages roll. Your body may go back to the dust of the earth, Jesus is saying, but I’ve shown you that death can have no dominion over you. When I came out of the grave, I made it possible for you to have a living faith that even death cannot destroy. How marvelous to have a faith that assures you will live on and on!

Oh, for a faith that can face the troubles of life and not give up, a faith that refuses to worry about the darkness because it knows the morning will soon dawn. God said so; God declared there would be a glorious morn. In spite of the tears we must shed in this life, if we walk with God we’ll step into that dawn. The eternal dawn is on its way as we are looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13).

Oh, for a Faith to Know God Hears!

We have no problem knowing God will answer our prayers; God’s faith tells us that God does answer prayer. Oh, for a faith that knows God hears you every time you pray! When you say, “Father, in the name of Jesus your Son I come,” you know He hears.

Faith in action tells you that you can contact Jesus anytime; you have a faith-line. Oh Lord, give us a faith that we can call you night or day, knowing you hear, a faith that won’t step backward, won’t hide.

Some feel insecure without this world’s riches, but I would feel insecure if I weren’t wealthy in faith—God’s faith—that will not fail in time of need. Faith that won’t light up your path in the dark, faith that will not take you across the troubled waters nor comfort your heart is worthless; but faith that comforts, faith that lifts up is wonderful indeed!

The strength and might of God’s faith, the courage of our Lord are beyond price. The ability to learn the Word of God, the Faith-Book, without doubting comes through God’s faith. We read the ninety-first chapter of Psalms—we don’t doubt. We read the eleventh chapter of Hebrews—no doubt. We read about Christ born of a virgin, and God’s faith tells us it’s all true. The Crucifixion—we know it happened. The Resurrection? Of course! He rose from the dead!

The faith of God assures us daily that His Word is all true. The creation of man as recorded in Genesis is not a stumbling block for we who have the faith of God; that faith tells us the story is exactly right.

Oh, for a Faith That Changes Lives!

Oh, for a faith that brings salvation, faith that changes a human life, makes a person into a new creation! So many desire a new life, but they don’t want to find it in Christ Jesus. Although seeking to be different, they choose not to be like Jesus; and so they go the way of the world. Trying to fill the emptiness of their lives by changing their hairstyles, their clothes, everything they can in the material realm, they’re still not happy.

This faith that I have I received at the Old Rugged Cross; I found it through Jesus and His saving grace, and I’ve held onto it. It’s mine. Although you cannot have my salvation, there’s plenty available for you. God’s faith is within reach for your salvation; I know. I’ve used that faith these many years. In times of great distress God’s faith didn’t back away from trouble, from the tears, the sadness, the despair.

When God’s faith can find a human heart to work in, to work through, that faith will never fail. It’s stronger than all the steel on planet Earth, higher than all the mountains. Samson, with the faith of God, knew no power could take him over. When David kept God’s faith in his heart and didn’t sin against God, he was able to sing psalms that stir people’s hearts even today—a little shepherd boy out in the field playing, making melody to the Lord. He possessed the faith of God.

Oh, for a Faith to Rise above Defeat!

Oh yes, the faith of God has taken men into adverse circumstances of all kinds, but they came out victorious—so long as they held onto the faith of God. Anyone unable to rise above seeming defeat has not held onto the faith of God; that one is a ship without a sail. The faith of God weathers all the storms of life, regardless of what you have to face. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13).

I say again, don’t worry about tomorrow or next week, next year: God holds the future in His hands. Troubles may come, despair all around, but God’s faith will keep you strong, lighting the darkest night. Why fear tomorrow when God is the God of tomorrow?

Without faith you cannot please Him, but God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). If ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed…nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). Ask what you will; God’s faith will work for you, defeating the enemy. You don’t need barrels and barrels of faith, just faith the size of a mustard seed. One tiny particle of God’s faith will deliver you. God is ready to move—with His faith; ready to conquer—with His faith.

Raise God’s banner high—not yours but God’s banner stained with the blood of His Only Begotten Son. The promises of God, the banner of God’s promises belong to the children of God. Don’t run from the enemy. Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). Jesus said you would trample devils underfoot, put the enemies of God to flight. Why not do it?

Oh, for a Faith to Believe Like the Early Church!

The Early Church used the faith of God, and His love flowed. When those first Christians were in one mind and one accord with the faith of God, nothing could stop them. They died for the sake of Christ, but the faith of God lived on. Although they saw loved ones burned at the stake, fed to the lions, the faith of God still leaped in their hearts.

No power can destroy us when we use the faith of God; we’re indestructible, unsinkable. The grace of God abounds for us. Oh, give us such a faith! Give us such love and grace; give us the power of Calvary working in our lives daily, and we will go on with the Lord.

It’s “Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.” We know the power in that Cross, the power in the blood of Jesus. Our faith declares it, and we’re not afraid. We hear the Master’s voice saying, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Let his faith flow to you now. If you would use God’s faith you would know it works wherever it is. Faith, if it hath not works, is dead (James 2:17). God does not have dead faith.

In the fifth chapter of Galatians, God names the things we cannot do and still be a part of His Kingdom, naming the seventeen works of the flesh. Shun all those works, and God’s faith can come to you who need Jesus today. You can find Calvary; you can have a new life, walking in the greatness of His love, power, strength and Spirit.

Oh, for a Faith to Claim Salvation and Healing!

Live in His faith, I say again. Do you want this kind of faith, the kind that will never fail, that will penetrate the darkest of nights? Do you want a faith that will make you strong, victorious, a faith that will overcome all the powers and sins of Lucifer and all the works of the flesh? If so, then pray this prayer with me:

Oh, God, I want your faith! I want the faith of God. I confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He died for me and I will live for Him. I do have faith in the shed blood of the Son of God; and I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins, all of my sins. Come on in Jesus! Come on in Jesus!

If you meant it, you have His salvation. The faith of Gods works; you’re a new creation. Start praying, reading the Word of God. Ask God to give you the anointing to fast the Bible way.

Are you sick or afflicted? Oh, for a faith that will make people well! I have that kind of faith—it made me well, and I’ve seen this faith of God make so many well. Faith, the faith of God, certainly heals the sick; the faith of God gives sight to the blind.

Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you; I bring them in your faith, oh Lord. In your grace they come, and you have compassion on them; you will heal them. Heal all who need this prayer of faith. Heal! In the name of Jesus.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15).

With God’s faith, believe the promises of healing in the Word of God and let God get you well. Oh, for such a faith that heals sick bodies, that gives strength to the weak and sight to the blind! Notice all improvements daily, and get well. Write and tell me how God moved for you. Oh, for such a faith! Oh, for such a faith—and all mankind can have it! God has enough faith to give everyone—with plenty left over. Oh, that everyone would desire such a faith! What a Pearl of Great Price: God’s great gift of faith in the form of Jesus Christ, given so freely for a lost and dying world!

Walk in His faith, live in His faith. You will please Him as you use His faith daily.
