And he [Jesus] went a little farther (Matthew 26:39). This is a very important scripture to ponder in this end-time hour. Jesus tried to get the disciples to go a little farther with Him on that awful night in the Garden of Gethsemane, but they wouldn’t. Nevertheless, He didn’t let that stop Him. He left them and went a little farther Himself. You must never allow that to happen to you in this final hour. Don’t ever let the Lord leave you; always go a little farther with Him.

No matter how much sleep I may lose or how much fasting I must do, I’m determined to keep up with Jesus and go a little farther. Because of that, the Lord is able to take this ministry to the nations and save multitudes in moments of time. He sweeps over thousands and gives them miracles and healings in abundance and baptizes those who will yield to the Spirit.

This is the pouring-out time that Joel the prophet told us about. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit (Joel 2:28,29). I see devils go out of the devil possessed as thousands are delivered from witchcraft, voodoo, alcoholism, drug addiction and many other darknesses of the devil. People are being set free everywhere we go.

There is no cure today for AIDS, but we’ve witnessed and received testimonies of so many being healed. We’ve been told of whole families who have been healed, and we’re documenting as many cases as we can to give medical proof to the world that God heals AIDS. Such miracles affect people in an unbelievable way.

Stay Alert in This Hour

When Jesus went a little farther in the garden that night, He fell on His knees and prayed to His Father. Then He went back after the disciples because He knew He really needed them, but they were sleeping. Today, the Lord still needs every one of us, but are you staying awake with Him? For most people, it’s a sleepy hour; but you must be aware that it’s almost midnight and that you have to keep moving with the Spirit and be determined to answer His call. Only then will you recognize the end-time prophecies, realize it’s the final hour and become a real witness. All that has been prophesied to take place before the second appearance of Jesus Christ is now happening.

When Christ returned to the disciples, He woke them up and said, Could ye not watch with me one hour (Matthew 26:40)? Don’t ever give the Lord a reason to say that to you. This is the final hour, and you must stay awake. Have you prayed and fasted like you should? Have you studied the Word and its prophecies? Are you looking up and expecting Jesus to come in your day? We’re end-time people, and many of God’s children who are alive today will live to see the Rapture take place. Jesus prophesied about this hour when He was here on Earth saying, When ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors (Mark 13:29). The signs we are to look for are given in the Bible, so you must realize the condition the world is in and know that Jesus is at the door.

The Lord said that if we would walk in His light, we’d know the season. I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12). We who are walking in the light don’t know the exact hour or the exact day, but we do know it’s almost time for the Lord to come; and we must be ready. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44). Being ready means we’re watching for Him. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come (Matthew 24:42).

If you know that a friend or loved one is coming to visit, you will have everything ready and be anxiously looking for every sign of the person’s arrival. That’s the way we should be about the coming of the Lord. We shouldn’t fear the Rapture; we should rejoice over it. But until that day comes, we have to hurry on through the Holy Spirit to get this Gospel to the whole world. Jesus said, This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). This is the greatest hour that’s ever been since Adam and Eve were forced out of the Garden of Eden, and every one of us should be happy to be on Earth at this time.

Jesus Needs You

After Jesus woke the disciples, He left and went on a little farther again; but they still didn’t stay awake. They didn’t have enough love to get up and get moving. They didn’t have the anointing they should have had, and they had not yet received the Holy Ghost. They weren’t there for Jesus when He needed them, so the Father sent Him angel help. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43).

When you go a little farther with God, people may not stand by you either; but you’ll always have angel help. The Bible says, Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)? Angels touch people in my services, and multitudes are healed of all kinds of deadly diseases wherever we go. No case is too hard for the Lord.

Jesus needs you today just as He needed the disciples in the garden; but how many times has He found you asleep, spiritually speaking? How many times has He found that the love of God wasn’t bubbling inside of you and that you were not prayed up? How many times has He found you with hands that weren’t willing to help Him? He needs you so much because there are souls who are not ready for the Lord’s return—souls who need the Gospel and a witness to show them the way. They may not have had the privilege of knowing about Jesus, but they want to know and learn all about Him.

Know the Truth

It’s sad that Jesus finally had to give up on the disciples. Because they were asleep, they didn’t know that Jesus was about to be arrested, that He would be beaten and tormented all night long and then be crucified the next day. If only they had stayed awake, they would have been with Him in every judgment hall; and they would have marched all the way to Calvary with Him as He carried the Cross. When He fell beneath the load of the Cross, one of them could have carried it for Him; but instead, a total stranger had to carry the Lord’s Cross. If the disciples had stayed awake, they would have all been with John at the foot of the Cross when Jesus died; but they didn’t have enough love, peace or determination. They didn’t have enough wisdom and knowledge to know that Jesus’ hour had come, so they didn’t move on with Him.

The Old Testament Israelites were just like the disciples. Although Moses had tried to keep them moving, they wouldn’t follow him. The Lord Himself had tried to move them out of Egyptian bondage when He rained down all kinds of horrible judgments upon the Egyptians, but Moses was the only one who went a little farther. Moses had received his great anointing at the burning bush when God spoke to him, and he carried the rod of truth which brought judgment after judgment. Moses became a great leader, but the Israelites wouldn’t keep up with him.

Truth can bring either salvation or damnation, and it’s going to bring damnation upon this sinful world in this end-time hour. People who are not ready to go in the Rapture will face the seven-year Tribulation Period, and it’s sad that many of them don’t want anyone to wake them up with the Gospel. They’re only wide-awake to the works of the devil—drinking, using drugs and doing all they can to satisfy every lust of the flesh. They don’t care about God, and they dishonor Him in every way they can. If they ever use His name, it’s only in vain.

God Will Do the Impossible

Moses kept going a little farther until he had the millions of Israelites on their way out of Egypt. Their route to Canaan would have to be by way of the Red Sea or through the wilderness; and, of course, Moses thought they’d go through the wilderness, but he didn’t know that the hand of Almighty God would separate the waters of the Red Sea and make a dry-land highway right through the middle of it.

We don’t know all that God is going to do in this final hour, but He said in His Word that He would do unthinkable and unbelievable things. For I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you (Habakkuk 1:5). God is doing those things today, and He’s going to do more and more of them.

The waters separated, and the Israelites moved on in; and then they watched God destroy that great Egyptian army as the waters returned and drowned every one of them. That was a great miracle; but soon after, the Israelites started complaining about the water being bitter. So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea…and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter…And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink (Exodus 15:22-24)? The Israelites had a bad habit of complaining.

God Came Down

At one time, Moses told the people that they were headed for Mount Sinai and that God would come down to meet with them there; but they didn’t get ready. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice (Exodus 19:10,11,17-19).

God spoke in an audible voice to all of those people. Sinai was on fire with the power of God, and a great smoke went up from it. The mountain was trembling all over as the feet of God landed on it, and God’s voice came roaring out like many trumpets and shook the Earth. The sight was so terrible that Moses confessed, I exceedingly fear and quake (Hebrews 12:21). Moses had been through great experiences with God and had met Him one-on-one several times, but even he feared and trembled.

Then Moses went up on the mount to be with God and stayed there forty days and nights. The people grew impatient waiting for him, and they complained to Aaron about wanting to go back to their idol gods. And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him (Exodus 32:1).

You Must Be Ready

The Israelites had been serving idol gods in Egypt, and that’s why it had been so hard for God to bring them out. However, in spite of this, He brought them out by His mighty hand; but still they wouldn’t move on with Him. Many Christians are like that today—they’re in a lukewarm condition and aren’t moving even though the Spirit is crying, “Move! Rapture ground is just ahead, and there are millions yet to be won!”

The Israelite people were always talking discouragement and wanting to turn back while Moses was saying, “Move on; everything you need is just ahead in the land flowing with milk and honey, and that’s where God wants you to be.” Today, the Holy Spirit is urging us ever onward because it’s almost time for the Rapture to take place. The Holy Ghost is the only One who can prepare you to get out of here, and you’ll never make it without Him.

Every time the Spirit moves, you have to move with Him. You can’t do anything about your past, so move away from it and live in the present. Do your work for God today because you’re not promised tomorrow, and you could suddenly be gone. No one knows when his or her appointment may come up. We hear of people dying every day who never dreamed they would.

You have to be ready to go at any time either in death or in the Rapture just like the Apostle Paul was when he said, I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand (II Timothy 4:6). Paul told the Lord again and again that he was ready. One time, Paul was told that he was going to be bound if he went into Jerusalem; but with no fear he said, I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 21:13). Today, many true children of God are ready to give their all and even die for His name’s sake if that’s what God wants from them because they’re not following afar off.

You Must Believe

But Peter followed him afar off (Matthew 26:58). How sad that Peter only followed from afar. He didn’t go with Jesus the night they arrested Him even though he should have. Instead, he was ready to use his sword. And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear (Luke 22:50). Many people are always ready to use the things they want to use, but they’re not close enough to the Lord to use His faith and love or to use the sword of the Spirit.

After Peter had cut off that man’s ear, the Lord stooped down in His great love, picked up the ear and put it back on. And Jesus…touched his ear, and healed him (Luke 22:51). That miracle alone should have been enough to prove to the people that Jesus was the Son of God, but some people will never believe. There are doubters who say they would if they could see a miracle, but most of them probably wouldn’t; and the devil would go right on deceiving them.

Only honest-hearted people will see and believe; and when they come to see the miracles in this ministry, they believe right away. The only reason they hadn’t believed before was that they just hadn’t seen God at work, and they didn’t really know the truth. When you really know the truth, you will believe it. Jesus said, Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). He also said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matthew 11:29). When you learn Jesus, you’ll be delivered from all doubt, fear, frustration and misunderstanding; and you’ll become an overcomer through the divine blood that Jesus brought.

God has done all kinds of miraculous things through this ministry, but people still won’t believe because they don’t want to. Everyone who wants to be a believer can be, and they can have as much divinity as they will accept—as much divine blood, divine love and divine faith as Christ had when He was here. All divinity is ours because Jesus brought the new and living way, but many people won’t live in that way.

Don’t Fail God

After Jesus had been arrested, the Bible says that Peter ran for his life and then followed Him afar off. It was cold that night, so Peter moved into the courtyard to warm himself by the fire; but a maiden saw him and said, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man (Matthew 26:69-74). When Peter spoke like that, I can just hear those who heard him saying, “We must have been mistaken; although he looks like the person we saw with Jesus, we know that His disciples never would have talked or acted like that.”

Peter didn’t even follow close enough to Jesus to hear what was being said, but think how he must have felt when the Lord’s eyes met his. And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly (Luke 22:61,62). The Lord had told Peter that he would deny Him, but Peter didn’t believe Him.

For the rest of that dreadful night, the Lord was taken from one judgment hall to another. He was beaten and tormented, but where were the disciples? Jesus had been so good to them, but they didn’t stay with Him when He needed them the most. Jesus stood all alone just as the Bible tells us. But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled (Matthew 26:56).

Peter Saw the Miracles

Peter had witnessed so many of the Lord’s miracles. He had seen the blind get their sight and the lame walk. He had been there when Jesus resurrected Lazarus who had been dead for four days. Jesus…cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth (John 11:38,39,41-43).

Peter had heard Jesus say, “Lazarus, come forth!” and he had seen him walk out. Peter may have even helped roll the stone away from the tomb that day, and the miracle was on the other side of that stone. You must keep going a little farther with God if you want to move any stones in your life out of the way because you have to use God’s strength to move them. The people at Lazarus’ tomb that day were given the strength to move that stone.

Jesus had used Peter to help Him make other great miracles. Peter had helped Him feed a crowd of 5000 with a few loaves and fishes, and he knew that Jesus had to have been the Son of God to do such a thing. Peter was the one who had caught a fish with money in its mouth. Jesus had told him, Go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee (Matthew 17:27). Peter did as the Lord had instructed him to, and the miracle happened just like Jesus had said it would. If only Peter had kept moving with Jesus, things would have been different; but even after all he had witnessed, he stopped moving. But thank God, Peter did repent later; and he did get right with the Lord.

Don’t Stop and Miss Souls

Jesus told the disciples that He would die and be resurrected, but they didn’t take heed. And he [Jesus] began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men (Mark 8:31-33). The disciples didn’t go a little farther into the prophecies of God; so they weren’t ready, and they didn’t believe.

Are you moving a little farther and following the end-time prophecies? If you stop, you’ll fall asleep on a bed of ease and fail to finish your work for the Lord. Then you’ll miss the one flight out.

God has ordained millions of souls for us to win, and we’re winning thousands every week; but we can’t slow down because there are so many more yet to be won. Jesus was the greatest soul winner who has ever been, and we must be just like Him. We have to put on His shoes and follow His footsteps, always moving a little farther into winning more and more souls until the Lord says, “Oh, Bride of mine, it’s enough. It’s time to come home.”

There were many souls to be won in Noah’s day, yet no one wanted to hear the truth. Noah and his family were the only ones who moved a little farther; but what would have happened if they had fallen asleep on the job? For 120 years, they had to keep moving and building the ark because they had just a limited time to finish it. Only eight people built the ark, and four of them were women; but they had given their lives completely to God, and oh, how they worked! When you move on with the Lord, you will have the strength and the power to work for Him.

David Moved On

God and just one person are a majority, and that’s exactly how it was with little David when he went a little farther and killed a bear and a lion. Later, when he went to see the Israelites in battle, he expected to see God’s army winning; but instead, he found everyone afraid of a Phil-istine giant. Saul should have been moving on, but he wouldn’t go a little farther. He was too bogged down in pride, ego and disobedience; and he didn’t have any power left to move. He was afraid of Goliath who shook the Earth as he cried with a loud voice, Give me a man, that we may fight together (I Samuel 17:10).

Saul had not found a man who would face Goliath until he saw little David coming toward him, and he seemed to be dancing with joy all the way. David didn’t have a sword; he only had a slingshot, and he had stopped by the brook of God to pick up five little stones. Don’t look at people who are failing God and don’t let them stop you because they have nothing you need. Some people are always ready to give advice, but don’t listen to them; listen only to what the Spirit is saying.

Saul offered David his armor, but David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine (I Samuel 17:39,40).

If Saul had found anyone else in the whole army who was willing to fight Goliath, he wouldn’t have sent David; but he had no one else. He knew he would have to go himself if no one volunteered or Goliath would come after him because he was the king. So Saul let David go, thinking for sure that he would be killed; but the Bible tells us he won. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him (I Samuel 17:50).

God Will Prevail

Many people think the battle will be lost in this final hour because they won’t move on into the love and peace of God or into the divine blood. They just don’t think they can do it; but Paul taught us to say, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). How could he say that?—through Jesus Christ who gave Paul all the strength he needed, and He’ll do the same for you. He’ll go with you all the way just as the Bible says He will. I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

At one time, a devil followed Paul everywhere he went, stirring up evil against him and causing great trouble. Paul sought God three times for help, and the Lord did answer; but it wasn’t the answer Paul had expected. My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). Nevertheless, that answer was good enough for Paul; and he never asked the Lord about that devil again.

Even though Paul never saw Jesus in the flesh, he was just like Him; and so was John, the youngest apostle. The Lord poured more than one book of the Bible through John; and when people had tried to kill him, they couldn’t do it. He was banished to the Isle of Patmos, but there was where he got the book of Revelation from the Lord that many preachers will not teach.

I’ll preach anything the Lord gives, and He always gives me understanding of what He meant in His Word. You can get understanding from the Lord, too, through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You have to study divinity, and you have to study God’s plans in the Word.

Gideon went a little farther than his 32,000 soldiers, but what would have happened if he had turned back with the first 22,000? Even more soldiers turned back after that until he had only 300 left, but God doesn’t need great numbers to work with; and He has proved that with Enoch, Moses, Elijah, Elisha and others. If God can get just one person to move on with Him, He can win through that person.

Move Onto the Narrow Road

Not only do you have to keep moving a little farther, you also have to learn how to move deeper and higher. The deeper you move in the Lord, the higher you will go with Him; but you will never move any higher than the depth you go in His great love. The problem with that is that some people never go very deep in His love; and others have lost their first love, if they ever had it in the first place.

Many people who think they’re saved never really have been—they’re deceived. They just take a dose of “do better” and call that salvation; but the Lord declares, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). The old has to completely pass away before all things can become new. You have to leave all sin behind and take Jesus as yours.

The only way to true salvation is through the strait gate. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). The strait gate is here on Earth, and the narrow road is on the other side of that gate; but not one speck of willful sin will pass through. When you give up all of your sins, you can go through the gate; and it will take you to the highway of holiness that the prophet Isaiah told about. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness (Isaiah 35:8).

If you are in and out with the Lord and only obey Him part of the time, you’re not on the straight and narrow road. If you think you are, you’re just fooling yourself; and that’s thus saith the Lord. Most of you in that condition haven’t really been through the strait gate; and if you have, then you’ve backslidden on God. We must not detour from God’s holy highway; the right way is always straight ahead.

Walk with God

When I got saved, I learned to stay away with the Lord; and I loved it. The Lord started preaching through me at once; and within five or six weeks, people said I was preaching like an old-time preacher. God was using me, but that was because I lived with Him and had no condemnation whatsoever. I walked with God as Enoch did, and you can do the same thing. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God (Hebrews 11:5).

To please God, you have to go all the way with Him, spending plenty of time with Him in prayers, fastings and living in the Word. The Lord told me years ago that when people will do those three things consistently, they will keep them on the straight and narrow road and living close to Him. Jesus said, This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). If I hadn’t done a lot of fasting, this ministry would not be what it is today. People have asked me how many forty-day fasts I’ve had, but the number of fasts doesn’t matter as much as what I’ve accomplished through those fasts and what God has done through them.

You Must Have Divine Fruit

Fasting takes you into the deepness of God; and the more you learn about Jesus, the deeper and higher you will go with Him. That will bring wisdom and understanding from Heaven and the fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23). Just as Adam and Eve had physical fruit in the Garden of Eden, we have to have spiritual fruit. They’re much more powerful than any physical fruit; and without them, you can’t move a little farther with God. Check yourself daily to make sure you have all of the spiritual fruit because no one will be able to be victorious outside of Eden without them.

The Holy Ghost is the One who will produce the divine fruits of the Spirit in your life if you let Him, but He can only do that in pure soil that’s been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. Sin will prevent the Holy Spirit from producing the fruits, and disobedience will hamper their growth. Then you’ll find yourself without enough love to live and work for the Lord.

Love is the first fruit of the Spirit, and only through that love can you take on all of the characteristics and traits of Jesus. Only divine love generates divine joy; and only divine peace generates gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control. You’ll never go any higher in the things of God than the depth you go down into His love; but His love is so deep that it’s impossible for anyone to know the depth, the width or the height of it while he or she is still on this Earth. That’s just how great God’s love and all of the other fruits of the Spirit are.

Divine Joy Makes Winners

The deeper you go in God’s love, the more joy and strength you will have. The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). That divine joy gives me the strength I need to be just like Jesus. I seek to preach and teach like Him and to be as much like Him as I possibly can, but so many children of God don’t have peace and joy because they won’t use the armfuls on purpose of love that God has given them. They have His love, but they won’t reap the benefits from it. Instead, they allow the devil to torment them with battles of the mind.

It would be good for you to study the book God gave me, The Battles of the Mind. In it, you’ll learn that you don’t have to accept those battles because the Lord told me He gets no glory out of them. When you don’t get rid of them, you’re not suffering for Christ’s name’s sake; you’re just letting the devil deceive you and make you suffer. When you’re persecuted for Christ’s name’s sake, the Bible says, Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5:11,12). God’s rewards are great, but there are no rewards for battles of the mind.

You can overcome those battles by thinking the thoughts God gave you in Philippians: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). Some of you are free in your soul but not in your mind; so you’re not free to use God’s peace, joy, gentleness and goodness.

Divine Forgiveness

Another fruit of the Spirit is meekness, or humility. Some claim to have it, but they won’t forgive others because they haven’t moved a little farther into divine forgiveness. I forgive people for anything they have done to me, and I don’t wait for them to ask me; but only God can forgive sins. I just turn people over to the Lord, and they have to carry the burden of their own sins. If they don’t do anything about them, then they won’t go to Heaven. The Lord said in His Word, Vengeance is mine; I will repay (Romans 12:19). I let the Lord decide how and when people will pay.

If you want to be truly happy, then do what the Lord tells you to do and forgive others. He said that if you don’t do that, He won’t forgive you. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). I forgive others, so God’s forgiveness keeps flowing for me. You can do whatever you want to.

Let the Fruits Manifest

Two of the remaining fruits I want to bring before you are longsuffering and gentleness. Longsuffering is divine patience, and you have to suffer to have that patience. My mother always said that when she prayed for patience, she could expect a big load of persecutions and trials to come her way. If you really want patience, you have to sacrifice for it.

In divine love, you will possess gentleness; and you’ll have Heaven’s divine, gentle touch. We all want the Lord to be gentle with us, and we want His goodness and mercy to follow us all the days of our lives; so we have to pass all of that onto others. If we please the Lord like Enoch did, we will be able to do that.

How much divine love and gentleness do you have, and how much of them do you have in your home? I quit all of my fussing and fighting when God saved me, and my family members knew I was different because I had always had a ferocious temper; but that all changed when the Lord saved me. God didn’t take away my temper; He gave me His great love to use that temper on the devil. Then I learned that God has a ferocious temper, too, and soon He’ll use it to cast the devil and the fallen angels into the lake of fire along with all of those who have lived wicked lives and didn’t receive a born-again experience.

We have to seek the Kingdom of God; and the Bible tells us, For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). Are you a child of that heavenly Kingdom? If not, you can be because Jesus came to bring us into the family of God, His Kingdom.

Know in Whom You Believe

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost (Romans 15:13). Divine hope is the great stepping stone that helps you get to faith ground. It helps you across the gulf of any unbelief you might have, and then you’ll land right where you need to be to receive the blessing you desperately need. Once you’re on the other side of the gulf, you can use your faith. Jesus told a man with a great need, Only believe (Mark 5:36). He also said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

Jesus is our deliverer and our high tower, but how much do you know about Him? Some people know more about the sins, faults and failures of others than they do about Jesus. But the Lord said, Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace (Psalm 37:37). There must be people who are living perfect lives before God or He wouldn’t have said that. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Jesus came to make us sons and daughters of God, but only holy people can be in that family. Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). You can’t be deceived about yourself; yet so many people deceive their own hearts thinking they have the love, joy and peace of God when they really don’t. The Lord told us we have to get rid of our thoughts and theories and take His Word. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). We have to get rid of any of our characteristics that aren’t like Jesus and take His traits. Then you can walk like Him, talk like Him and go His way.

The problem is that many people don’t know what God wants of them, and that’s why so many Christian young people can’t find the will of God for their lives. They’re confused about college, about what job they should pursue or whom they should marry. They reach out for the things of the world because they’re not deep in God’s love, and they don’t have His joy.

When God saved me, all of my plans and all of my confusion were wiped away. I went deep into God’s love, and I gave my whole self to Him. I told Him that I would do anything, and I’ve never said no to Him. When He visits with me in great divine visitations, all I can say to Him is, “Yes, Lord, yes.” I don’t question God like most people do; I listen to Him, and He gives me the wisdom and knowledge I need to do His work.

Put God First

I don’t seek to please myself. What I call a good day is making a good day for the Lord. When I come to the end of a day and the Holy Spirit smiles upon me with great love and peace, I know I’ve pleased God; and I call that a perfect day. I want to make every day I have left a perfect day for God.

When you move a little farther into the deepness of God’s love, you will have self-control. Then you will be able to move higher and higher with Him, but you can’t have any ego; the Lord told me that the spirit of ego comes from the devil. People who always want others to look at them are really nothing before God. Ego has ruined many preachers because they let it take the place of the power of the Holy Ghost at work, and that’s awful.

Some people may not put themselves ahead of God, but they’ll put other people or things ahead of Him. Jacob did that with Benjamin, thinking that he’d just die if he had to give up another one of Rachel’s sons. He already believed that Benjamin’s only full brother, Joseph, was dead; but Joseph was really alive. Because of jealousy, Joseph’s brothers had sold him into slavery when he was much younger; but since then, he had become second in power in the land of Egypt.

Years after Joseph’s brothers had sold him, they had gone to Egypt seeking food during a great famine; and while they were there, they unknowingly spoke with Joseph. He asked them, Have ye another brother (Genesis 43:7)? The brothers didn’t want to tell that ruler about Benjamin; but because he seemed to be so angry with them, they said, “Yes.” Then Joseph said, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you (Genesis 43:5). Jacob was going to have to give up Benjamin or his family wouldn’t receive any food. Do you have a “Benjamin” that prevents you from receiving the blessings of God?

You Must Please God

How do you treat the Word of God? You have to move on in and eat the Word. The Lord said, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). I don’t go to the supper table and just look at the food; I eat it, but some people don’t do that with the Word. If some of you would eat as little at the table as you do of the Word of God, you’d look like a walking shadow; but many of you will feast away at the table and only pick up your Bible when you’re ready to go to bed. You drop down on your knees all tired out saying, “Lord, surely you wouldn’t mind if I’d get up on that soft bed and lie there while I pray.” Then you climb up there and pray for only a minute or two before you’re gone. I wonder what your guardian angel thinks? He probably tiptoes around trying not to wake you up because he has had so much trouble trying to put up with you and take care of you during the day.

When you move in deeper, you won’t just please God part of the time; you’ll please Him all of the time. The Bible says, For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me (Romans 15:3). If you’re a self-pleaser or you only seek to please others, you’re not pleasing God.

I please God first. Whatever God wants me to do is what I do. My wife, Angel, and I built this ministry through much sacrificing; we never sought to please ourselves. Angel has gone on to Heaven, but I’m still here to please God. Thus saith the Lord, those of you who will please God and be obedient to Him will go higher than you’ve ever been before.

No Vision Brings Defeat

The Lord wants to give His people His vision in this end-time hour; and when you go a little farther, you will have it. The disciples never really got Jesus’ vision before He was crucified even though the Lord had tried to give it to them. Judas certainly didn’t have that vision, and he failed completely when he betrayed the Lord for just thirty pieces of silver. Then he committed suicide and plunged into hell. And they [the chief priests] covenanted with him [Judas] for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him [Jesus] (Matthew 26:15,16). Judas even told the chief priests where they could find Jesus, and then he betrayed Him with a kiss. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast (Matthew 26:48).

It must have been awful to look into Judas’ soul, but I’ve seen such horrible souls through God’s gift of discerning. It’s awful to look into the souls of human beings and see the hideous devils that inhabit them. When I received God’s gift, the things I saw drove me beyond myself. The first time I prayed for a demon-possessed person, I looked into that soul; and those devils looked right back at me. I had to turn away for a moment as I cried, “My God, my God,” because I had never thought I would ever see anything like that. But I knew I had to turn back to that person; and when I did, I cast those devils out.

Earlier, I had promised the Lord that if He would give me the gift of discerning, I would uncover the devil at any cost. I didn’t know what I was saying at the time, and I didn’t know it would nearly cost me my life; but since receiving that gift, I have never failed to uncover the devil.

The Bride Is Moving

It’s time for the members of the bridal company to move a little farther with God than ever before. We have to go deeper into His love and grace and expect all of His prophecies to be fulfilled. We have to present our bodies as a living sacrifice daily. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

The Bride of Christ must live holy and free from all sin and go a little farther than church membership and water baptism—we have to be made new creations and carry the image of God. We have to be just like Jesus and allow ourselves to be used like He was used to do all the work God wants us to do in this final hour. We have to say, “Not my will, Father, but thine be done.”

When the disciples finally learned to move on, they won. When Peter learned to go a little farther, he left all fear behind; and he let nothing stop him. If you don’t move beyond your fear, you’ll live in it. It will bring you sickness, despair and weakness; and it will eventually destroy you. You have to feel the touch of the Master’s hand and His healing power driving all the diseases and weaknesses from your body. Feel the unbelievable strength of His blood flowing through you and know that you’re under His wings of healing, power and revelation.

The Rapture Is Just Ahead

This is a great hour for the Bride of Christ because she has learned to move on; and soon we’ll hear the cry, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him (Matthew 25:6). Then we’ll be changed in a moment because we’ll have the power of the Holy Ghost moving within us. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:52). We’ll be caught away to be with the Lord forever. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:16,17).

The Bride will have what is required to make the Rapture—the holiness and the righteousness of God, the born-again experience, the infilling of the Holy Spirit—and she will be without one spot. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

Come to Jesus

Oh, Sinner, Lukewarm Christian, Backslider, you’re going to miss the Rapture unless you’re spotless before God. If you’re not going a little farther into the truth and following the heavenly vision, you will miss it. God’s prophecies tell you the truth; but if you’re not following them, you’ll be left. Why don’t you make it right with God today?

Pray this prayer: Oh, God, I’m lost, and I’m not moving with you. Please help me to move into your saving grace. I know that I’ve sinned against you and shamed you. I know you died for me, but I haven’t appreciated it. I know I’m lost without you and that if I were to die right now, I would go to hell. I know there’s a burning hell because you said so, Jesus, and I believe you. Oh, Lord, forgive me for all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, Jesus is yours. He has come into your heart; so keep moving with Him in fastings, prayers and living in the Word of God. Move on in the truth and in His divine love, hope, peace, wisdom and knowledge. You’ll have Heaven’s hope, and angels will help you just like they did Jesus when He was here. He came as our living example.

Move Into Your Miracle

Do you need healing today? You may have AIDS or HIV, diabetes or cancer; but it’s never too late to get a miracle. God only heals for His honor and glory, so you must live for Him.

Lord, I agree with the people for you to get them well. In the name of Jesus, I curse their diseases. Heal them of AIDS, leukemia, diabetes, heart trouble, cancer and any other diseases they may have. Lord, no case is too hard for you; the touch of your hand has always been sufficient. Touch them now. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. Heal! in the all-powerful blood name.

Feel Him now and carry this anointing with you. Serve the Lord with all of your heart, and He will get you well; then write and tell me about your miracle. If you have received healing for AIDS, get your case documented by your doctor as others have done and send it in to me at: Ernest Angley Ministries/P.O.Box 1790/Akron, OH 44309. Allow the Lord to make you a witness to the greatness of our God. God bless.

Thus Saith the Lord

I am here to give you a great anointing, to take you into my love like you’ve never gone. If you thought you were to the depth of it, you are not. If you thought you were to the height and width of it, you are not. I’ll take you higher and wider, but you’ll never get to the end of my love for all time and eternity, saith the Lord.
