More of Jesus—let this become a song in your heart, in your spirit, in your prayer and fasting life. Let more of Jesus be the first thing to enter your mind when you wake and the last thing you think of before you go to sleep. More of Jesus: Keep it on your mind so much that you’ll dream about it. More of Jesus…say it: I want more of Jesus! I want more of Jesus! Give me Jesus night and day! Give me Jesus all the way!

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, you hunger and thirst after Jesus Christ. To be filled with the righteousness of God and to want more of Jesus should be your greatest desire.

Had the disciples in the beginning possessed the great desire for more of Jesus that burned in their hearts on the Day of Pentecost, they would have been a power for the Lord while He was still here on Earth. At first, however, they didn’t understand enough about Him to want more and more of Him. But they kept watching Him and listening, and that’s what they needed to do. Night and day the disciples studied every step He made, holding on to every word He spoke. The more they studied Him, the more they wanted to be with Him. The more they were with Him, the more they had of Him. If you don’t know all you need to know about Jesus, all the Bible tells us about Him, study Him.

Wanting more and more of Jesus, the disciples followed hard after Him until the Lord was able to send the twelve forth to heal the sick, to cast out devils and bring about a great revival. Why couldn’t they hold on to that greatness? It was because they didn’t yet have the power of the Holy Ghost in their lives. Not until the Day of Pentecost were they baptized in Him. Christ showed us what the Holy Ghost would do, and He showed His disciples.

More of His Love

If you want more of Jesus, you want more of His divine love. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God so loved the world that He gave us Jesus. How wonderful to have the love that took Jesus all the way from the cradle to Calvary for you and me! His love is what you want, what you’re asking for when you want more of Jesus.

Help Thou My Unbelief!

The disciples especially felt the need of more of Jesus one day when a father brought his son to them to be delivered. And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:17-29). The man, disappointed that the disciples couldn’t deliver his son, went on to Jesus. In Jesus he found what he was looking for. Jesus simply told the man that if he could believe, it would happen. Lord, I believe, the father said, help thou my unbelief. The father was asking the Lord for faith, divine faith. Divine faith is the only kind Jesus brought. Having more of Jesus is having more of His divine faith.

Three Steps

Why couldn’t the disciples deliver the boy? Because they didn’t have enough of Jesus. Later, they were able to deliver others with the same condition the boy had, for later they received the power of the Holy Ghost and more of Jesus.

If you want more of Jesus, know that prayer, fasting and living in the Word of God will bring Him close. Just three steps over and over—you can make three steps, can’t you? Those three steps are why this miracle ministry is here today: prayer, fasting and living in the Word. Years ago the Lord told me those three steps were what I would need.

When you want more of Jesus, you want Him more than you want what’s on the table, so you push your chair back from the table deciding to go deeper in Him. That means a fast. Jesus said this kind goeth forth by prayer and fasting, and prayer and fasting are the helps you need to assist others, to be a soul winner like Jesus.

Some people have been thinking for years of going on a long fast and haven’t done it yet. If they would get hungry enough in this final hour to want more of Jesus, they would fast.

Bring Your Burdens to Jesus

The disciples studied the faith of Jesus; they studied His love, His tender care, His touch, the attention He gave to the needy. They studied Him when He said: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). For people to put their burdens on Jesus seemed to the disciples to be too much for one person to bear. The disciples had to get that quality of Jesus in them before they could later cry, Bring your burdens to us and we’ll help you unload them at the feet of Jesus! The disciples watched Jesus use that kind of faith, faith that was in the lives of the saints of old, recorded in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews. They saw Him use the love described most beautifully in First Corinthians 13, and they knew they needed more of His love, more of His faith.

Peter Walked On Water

Peter wanted to be like Jesus when he was on a boat one night in a raging storm. It looked as though the boat would sink: The ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God (Matthew 14:24-33). Seeing Jesus walking toward them on that wretched, rough sea, Peter, making sure it was the Lord and not a spirit, asked the Lord to bid him come to Him on the water. That was wonderful faith. If it’s you, Lord, I’m willing to step out. Peter knew enough about Jesus, knew He could merely speak the words and a miracle would take place. He knew the word of Jesus would hold him up.

The Word made flesh told Peter he could walk the waters. Anything the Word tells you to do, you can do. However, you can’t let fear take you over, can’t let the devil get your mind off the Lord. Peter did walk the waters, but then the devil got his attention. The Lord had given him spiritual eyesight, divine sight, but suddenly he settled for physical sight—after he was already walking those angry waters. The wild waves rushing toward him made it a fearful time! The waves looked to Peter to be some of the most terrifying ones he had ever seen. The devil got his mind on the waves and off Jesus who was walking the waters, showing Peter how to do it.

Speak the Word

The Word of Jesus will hold you up today if you let it. You will not go down. Speak the Word and the waters will hold you up—speak the Word and the Word will hold you up! That’s the faith you must use in this final hour: The Word will hold you; you will never sink; the Word will keep you on top.

Jesus will always walk before you, always show you how to stay on top of the raging sea of life. Jesus showed the disciples how to stay on top of the mountain and not let the mountain be on top of them. He taught that the faith He brought could move mountains; it would do anything for them. More of Jesus, more of Jesus became their cry.

The disciples saw the blind receiving sight, and they wanted more of Jesus so they, too, could give sight to the blind in His name. They saw the devil-possessed being set free, and they wanted more of Jesus.

A Great Deliverance

And when he [Jesus] went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed (Luke 8:27-36).

When the disciples saw Legion delivered, they knew they didn’t have that power—and they didn’t try to fake it, either. Later Jesus told them that these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). In my name, Jesus said, believers will cast out devils; in my name believers will lay hands on the sick and they shall get well.

Works in Greater Abundance

Jesus told His followers, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). Works in greater abundance are ours to do today, and it’s time to get more of Jesus’ help. It’s time to yield to the Lord, to decide we don’t care what the world has to say—it’s drunk on the brew of the devil. We don’t have to consider those who reject our Lord. By just obeying God, we can get their attention.

Jesus caused a sensation everywhere He went. People looked on Him as a fanatic, but they looked on Him. The wonderful miracles He performed certainly got the attention of His disciples, especially when He walked the waters.

Jesus had the undivided attention of people when He stood before Lazarus’ sepulcher saying, Take away the stone! Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days (John 11:39). People must have thought He was crazy—why, Lazarus had been dead four whole days! Nevertheless, they rolled the stone away, and Jesus cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him (John 11:43-45). The disciples realized what a little bit of Jesus they had when He spoke and Lazarus walked out of the tomb. In their hearts they knew they wanted more of Jesus.

In this hour we cry, More of Jesus! More of His characteristics, more of His traits, more of Him! We want more of Jesus, not more of the world’s spirit, not more of the knowledge of the world; we want more of Jesus. That means we want more knowledge from His Book, the Book of all books. We want spiritual strength, more of Jesus. We want divine healings, miracles—more of Jesus. We want to be made whole inside and out.

Wonderful Works!

The disciples saw Jesus meet the leper who worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:2,3).

Wherever Jesus went, miracles took place. And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole (Mark 6:56). They yearned for more of Jesus.

I want more of Jesus to help people the way He helped the Samaritan woman who started a revival for a whole city. The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men: Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him (John 4:28-30). When Jesus was able to perform His wonderful works, the cry for Him in the hearts of the people became a part of them, a reality.

People grew hungry for righteousness, began to long for it and to follow close to Jesus. They wanted more of Jesus and all the wonderful works they saw.

Jesus told the disciples I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever (John 14:16). The Holy Ghost would set up His abode within the hearts of the obedient. In the name of Jesus this would be done as they were crying out, “I want more of Jesus!”

Jesus said, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Over six billion people on Earth today need all of Jesus they can get, need all His love; it must flow from our innermost being to them like rivers of living water. The Lord told me that in the last hour those living waters would flow until they would cover the earth as the waters of the sea. Love will go forth like the world has never seen before, it’s the Jesus love. We want more of Jesus, more of His love. We want faith to deliver those in bondage.

They See the Need to Change

When people see the miracles in my crusades overseas, they want Jesus. So many, turning away from the witchcraft, from the voodooism they’ve been born in, see the need for a change. Walking in darkness, they have worshiped Satan, not God. But now they want more of Jesus. When they see their children being healed, they want more of Jesus. Miracles taking place before their very eyes give them such a burning desire for more of Jesus that they turn their backs on witchcraft, voodoo and take Jesus. The more they see signs and wonders, the more they want of Him, the more they want Him to pour out His Spirit.

You can have more of Jesus; but, I say again, you must hunger for Him. If you don’t have an appetite for Him, you will not receive much.

Forty-Day Fasts

A woman came down to the altar one night to tell me she would fast if she didn’t get so hungry. Of course you are going to get hungry if you fast; I have an appetite like a lion.

There was a time, however, that my appetite didn’t do me any good, a time I was almost robbed of life. I watched my body go down to practically a skeleton; if I ate, I was dying; if I didn’t eat I was dying. Then Jesus came one night and miraculously healed me. He told me I would go on a long fast and then He would give me the power to heal the sick, power to take to the world. I wanted more of Jesus and about six weeks later I was on a long fast, looking to Him, wanting more and more and more of Him. I am never satisfied with how much of Him I have; I always want more.

After God healed me I would look back on the times I was so ill, thinking of the condition I was in and of the miracle Jesus brought when, in person, He made me whole all over from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. I had thought I was going to die in a matter of days. So now when He calls on me to fast, regardless of how many days, it doesn’t matter; I can’t do enough for Him.

I never go forty days of fasting unless I have a divine call. I go on shorter fasts, but for forty days…it has to be divinely called. I want that divine call. I get carried away at what God is doing, carried away in more of Jesus as I lose sight of self.

I remember that during one time of desperation I was determined to fast forty days. I knew I had to have more of Jesus, something had to be done, it was a necessity for the work. I was going all the way, but on the twenty-first day the Lord came to me and said, You have won. There is no need to continue your fast. The fast immediately closed. I had the will to go forty days, and I was surprised when the Lord let me know it wasn’t necessary to go on.

When Is the Fast Over?

People ask me, How do you know when a fast is over?

I never break a fast in my own will. It’s a divine fast, and I wait for Him. Never do I go over forty days; Jesus fasted forty days, and He set the limit. I wouldn’t think of going beyond Him. Jesus fasted to show us a way we could have more of Him, how to get in to the Father through Him.

Breaking a fast—how do you know when you’re full of food and when you’re not full? Don’t you have feelings? I do, and the Holy Spirit quickens my feelings and I know the fast is over. He has even let me know when other people’s fasts are over. When He says the fast is over, you have won.

Some people want to go away to the mountains to fast a long fast, but I carry on the work of God when I fast, looking to the Lord for more of Jesus, more of His power. I can be so weak physically that I pray, Oh, Lord, you’ll have to strengthen me! I have to have your strength to carry on! Then He makes me strong until I don’t know the end of my strength, don’t even feel I am fasting because I am so filled with Him.

The Jesus Touch

We can be just like Jesus; we’re to carry the Gospel light, the love just as He did. We’re to be kind and tenderhearted toward everyone. To have that Jesus touch…that’s what I give people when I go to the nations. When they won’t respond to anything else, they respond to the Jesus love.

Jesus brought love that grants Heaven’s benefits to humanity. He brought grace that abounds, and everyone can have it. He brought a kind heart that all can have, a heart the first Adam and Eve had before they found out what sin was. How marvelous to be made brand-new through Jesus, the second Adam!

Don’t ever lose your appetite for the spiritual things. Always want God more than you want food. Look for the cloak of righteousness, greatness and love more than you look for the material possessions of life. The Lord must come first. Jesus proved it when He was here on Earth; He laid aside His riches in Heaven and made Himself poor to make us rich in the spiritual greatness of divinity. Through the grace of the Lord we are rich beyond compare.

Seek to Be Like Jesus

Lose sight of this world, lose sight of wasting millions of dollars to build a home; that’s not in God’s program. We don’t need to put millions of dollars in homes; the Lord is building mansions in glory for all His children. He has proven Himself to the ones who have taken Him into their hearts. The more you learn about Him, the greater your appetite will be for Him. Long for more of Jesus, tell Him you want more of Him.

I seek daily to be just like Jesus; I’m ever checking, ever examining myself in the Spirit so that I can be like Him. I have answers for people because I get them from the Lord: What would you do, Jesus? He tells me what to do and that’s what I do. In fact, that’s what everyone ought to do.

When you don’t know which path to take or what to do, ask Jesus what He would do. What would you do with this plan? What would you do in this situation? What would you say? If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, the Holy Spirit will help you know exactly what Jesus would do. Be filled with God and empty of self. When self has been brought under subjection and buried, you have a new life, the Jesus life.

The Sinners’ Prayer

If you don’t have Jesus, why not take Him into your heart right now? There will never be a better time. Pray this prayer with me: Oh, God, save my soul! I am so sorry that I sinned against you, but I have come home. I will serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I believe in the blood of Jesus. I believe in all the powers that are in the blood of Jesus, and I know there is power to wash away all my sins, no matter what I’ve done, and I will be free for time, free for eternity. I will always trust the blood and live pure, clean and holy through the blood of Jesus, through the powers in the blood. And I believe the Jesus blood, the divine blood from Heaven washes away all of my sins! Come into my heart, Jesus!

If you meant that prayer, He has come. Praise God, your sins are gone! Praise God for the blood of Jesus and always seek more of Him.

Trust God for Healings and Miracles

You who are sick and afflicted, I come with faith in His blood stripes. He went to the whipping post for your healing. With His blood stripes you have physical healing. With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Can you trust Him? I trusted Him when I was so nigh to death, and He poured life into my body. There is power in His holy blood and in His blood name. I have no powers of my own; it’s all the power of the Lord. Without His power I would have been dead years ago.

It doesn’t matter what condition you’re in; the Lord can heal you just as He healed me. He is great in all His ways. Again and again Jesus said, Only believe. The mother of Jesus, helping Jesus to make the first miracle, gave the formula for all time: Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2:5). Whatever He tells me to do, I do—and it works. I tell people what He tells me. If they will be obedient to what the Lord wants, they can get a miracle.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Full of the Holy Ghost, He went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil. You’re not to be depressed or in despair. God never planned that for His children.

I am here, saith the Lord. I am here to heal you. I am here to give you your miracle. I am here to draw you into my arms of love. This is your hour of visitation; this is your hour of revelation, and I am here. Feel me now and know that I’m in the midst of this people, saith the Lord.

Keep your mind on the blood of Jesus. Every miracle, every healing is through the blood of Jesus, divine blood.

Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. There are powers in your great divine blood over all diseases and afflictions, powers to make all corrections and to deliver people from any unnatural appetites. Nothing is too hard for you, Lord. You have healing for any death disease, for HIV/AIDS, heart and lung problems, diabetes, cancer, paralysis and other diseases and afflictions. Those who are suffering can be free and normal through the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus I command it done! Heal! Yea, in the holy name of Jesus!

Healings are taking place, saith the Lord. God is moving by His mighty greatness through the shed blood of Jesus. The miracle power, the healing power in the blood is flowing to human beings. The divine blood carries power over all weaknesses, sins and diseases. Your miracle is in the blood. We thank you, Lord, and we are amazed at your greatness! We just want more and more of you.

Receive the Holy Ghost!

You without the Holy Ghost baptism, you’re not hungry enough. After I was saved, I looked to the Lord night and day for the baptism. Every waking hour it was, Lord, give me the Holy Ghost! If you hunger and thirst after Him He will fill you. You must get desperate to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. Don’t decide that if you can’t get the baptism, it’s no big deal. Actually it’s the biggest deal of your life next to your salvation. Without being baptized in the Holy Ghost, you will not be prepared to get out of here when Jesus comes again. Jesus received the Holy Ghost as an example for you and me to receive Him as well.

Jesus commanded His disciples to receive the Holy Ghost. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). Receiving the baptism is not an option, it wasn’t for the disciples and it isn’t for us today. If you are going to do His work, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost is necessary. The Lord let the Early Church know they couldn’t do His work without the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost is a real person. When He comes He speaks; He just uses your tongue and vocal organs. But if you can speak in tongues any time you want, it’s not of God. Talking in tongues at will is self—or the devil; it definitely is not of God. When the Holy Ghost speaks, He’s saying something with meaning.

It will take this power of the Holy Ghost to change you in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:52).

Humble yourself, yield before Him and follow hard after the Lord. The Jesus Spirit of humility will do wonders for you, help you bow to the will of the Father at all times. You’ll carry no grudges, no resentment; you’ll be as free as Jesus was when He walked among men. The freedom of Jesus is for everyone. This is a soul saving station and all the honor and glory for it go to the Lord. More, more of Jesus: Let that be your heart’s desire and cry to Heaven daily.
