Down through the years, people have accused Jesus of asking too much of them; but the Bible proves that He never has, and He never will. Jesus has never asked anyone to do anything that He did not already do Himself while He was on Earth, and He will enable others to do those things, too.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1). If Christ has raised you out of your sins and into His love, grace, power and greatness, you must seek those things which are in Heaven above. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2).

Many people think Jesus asks too much of them because they have a greater love for something else. Demas traveled with Paul, and it should not have been too much to expect him to continue doing that; but Demas loved the world more. Paul told Timothy, For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world (II Timothy 4:10). You need to check yourself today to see if there is any of the world left in you beyond Jesus Christ. If so, you need to go to the altar to get it out of your heart and replace it with the right kind of love.

Jesus Must Come First

It is not too much to ask people to forsake all and follow Jesus unless they have a greater love for self, family and friends. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household (Matthew 10:36). Do not cling to family members who do not love your God or want anything to do with your salvation because they are your enemies. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life [in the things of the world] shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it (Matthew 10:37-39).

The Lord never asks you to give up something just to take it from you. When you give Him your heart, He offers you so much in exchange. And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life (Matthew 19:29). When you get saved, the Lord fills your heart with divine love so He can use you to bless others; and if you obey Him, you will make it through to Heaven where everything is perfect.

Jesus told us to walk in truth. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). When you have a greater love for doctrines that soothe the flesh, you will think living in the truth is asking too much of you; but many people are in hell because of misjudging Jesus and choosing their own way. Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray…who loved the wages of unrighteousness (II Peter 2:15). The end will be dreadful for those who love the wages of unrighteousness.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:3,4). Fables are falsehoods that people recount as if they are true, and fables are what the majority of churches are teaching today.

Riches Can Seal Your Doom

Notice how respectful and kind the rich, young ruler was when he went to Jesus. He honored Him enough to kneel before Him, and he seemed interested in what Jesus had to say when he asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life (Mark 10:17)? But he did not act on what Jesus said. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions (Mark 10:21,22). The rich, young ruler could have lived in Heaven for all eternity, but he turned away from it; and we have no record that he ever went back to find Jesus.

Jesus did not ask too much of the young ruler, but the man loved his possessions more than he wanted Jesus. After he walked away, Jesus said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God (Mark 10:23)! Why?—because riches are their god. Jesus did not want the ruler’s riches; He wanted his love, and that is what He wants from us today.

I wonder what would have happened if the young ruler had honored Jesus’ request. I know for sure that he would have received a hundredfold return in everlasting life, and how much is everlasting life worth to you? No one can take their riches to hell with them; and even if that was possible, they could not use them to buy their way out.

Because Jesus loved people, He always told them the truth; and He proved He had that great love when He left His throne in Glory to come to Earth to spend over thirty years among hateful, audacious people. When people reject Jesus and His love, there is no other name that can get them into Heaven; and there is no other place for them to go but hell. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

There are people who say, “I am a good person. I don’t steal; I don’t kill; I don’t curse, and I go to church.” They may also be able to say that they have observed those things from their youth; but how many can say, “Lord, you are my first love. I give you my heart, and I will do whatever you ask me to through faith because Jesus said I can”? For verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20).

When people are saved, they receive “first love”; and if you have lost your first love today, you must go back and get it. There is no limit to what God can do with a yielded heart, so never limit God in your life.

Put Nothing Ahead of God

The Bible tells of a horrible famine in the land of Israel and of how Jacob sent some of his sons to Egypt for food. When they returned, they told their father that they were not allowed to go back for more food unless their younger brother, Benjamin, was with them. So when the time came that they again needed food, Jacob’s sons told him, If thou wilt send our brother [Benjamin] with us, we will go down and buy thee food: But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. And Israel [Jacob] said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother (Genesis 43:4-6)?

Jacob had only two sons from his beloved wife, Rachel, before she died; and one of them, Joseph, had been feared dead for many years. Therefore, Jacob did not want to send Benjamin to Egypt and risk losing him, too; however, he soon had to give in because they desperately needed food. And their father Israel [Jacob] said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds (Genesis 43:11).

Jacob felt like his whole world would collapse if he gave up Benjamin; but when he finally agreed, it brought life to him and to others. When the brothers returned from Egypt the second time, they brought not only food but good news to Jacob that his son Joseph was not dead but alive. And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father, And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt (Genesis 45:25,26). That wonderful news only came after Jacob had agreed to give up Benjamin.

When the Lord asks us to give up our “Benjamin” or anything we love more than Him, it is because only then will He have an unclogged channel through which He can give us abundant life. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jacob and his sons never would have survived during those years of famine if Jacob had not given up Benjamin, and Jacob never would have had the joy of knowing that Joseph was alive.

Do you have something between you and the Lord today? If so, you have to give it up. You can cry over it, but you are just wasting water because it still has to go; and believe it or not, you will live.

Never Give Up

Jesus has never asked too much of anyone, but how will you handle it when He asks a hard thing of you? Will you go by your feelings? At one time, Elijah did that. He had just finished killing 450 prophets of Baal, and what a bloody mess that was! Then Jezebel declared she was going to kill him; and because he was so tired and afraid, Elijah ran into the wilderness. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers (I Kings 19:4). But the Lord did not do that; and instead, He sent an angel to cook for him. And as he [Elijah] lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat (I Kings 19:5). Elijah ate and went back to sleep. Then the angel made a second meal for him; and he [Elijah] arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God (I Kings 19:8). Some have said that Elijah fasted for those forty days, but that is not so. He was living on heavenly food, and he went in the strength of those two meals. With God, we have it made, too; and many times, we just don’t realize it.

Elijah had requested to die, but God knew that people needed him; and later, God took Elijah to Heaven alive. And it came to pass, as they [Elijah and Elisha] still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more (II Kings 2:11,12). If God had honored Elijah’s request to die, he would have missed being caught up in that chariot.

Elijah was so weary that he let his feelings take over, but you cannot allow yourself to get like that. You must never want people, and certainly not God, Jesus or the Holy Ghost, to hear you say, “It is enough; just kill me.” I want to live until the Rapture takes place; and if you don’t make it, you will wish you had. The Rapture will be worth every sacrifice, and I am determined to pay the price; and you must be, too.

Deny Self

What will you do when Jesus says to you, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23)? Will you say as Jesus did to the Father, Not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:42)? If you cannot say that and you think God is asking too much, you need to find out what it is that you love greater than doing God’s will.

You must let faith step in and say, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). Never let yourself get weak enough to say you can’t make it because the Bible says you can. You either believe the Bible or you don’t, and you can never believe people more than the Bible.

Whether you yield to feelings or to faith will determine how you answer Jesus and how much He can move for you. Jesus never catered to His feelings, and we are to be just like Him. You will face persecution from all directions; but people lied about Jesus, so you must not be surprised or care when they lie about you, too.

Never give people the satisfaction of seeing you try to fight against their lies or even pay attention to them because that would make them and the devil happy, and we should never want to make the devil happy. Just put your persecutors in God’s hands, and let Him deal with them. He said, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19).

Jesus was not a servant to His feelings even though He took on flesh and was tempted in the same ways we are. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus was a servant to faith, and He did all that the Father asked of Him. Jesus said, I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things (John 8:28).

Jesus Gave All

Jesus left the splendor of Heaven to come to this dark, sinful world; and He did not count His life dear unto Himself but said, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God (Hebrews 10:9). He fasted forty days at a time, and He spent many nights in prayer with the Father while the disciples slept; and they could not even stay awake with Him on that last, awful night before He was crucified. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour (Matthew 26:40)?

Jesus did not even have a place to lay His head most of the time. The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head (Matthew 8:20). And He endured the contradiction of sinners. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (Hebrews 12:3).

Jesus was despised by men; and He was scorned, persecuted and lied about. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not (Isaiah 53:3).

Jesus was nailed to a cross. Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus did not enjoy hanging on the Cross because He had become human just like you and me, but that is the only way He could have taken our place.

Jesus laid down His life for sinners because He was faithful to God. Who was faithful to him that appointed him (Hebrews 3:2). God appointed His Son to travel the road He did, and Jesus was faithful to it. The Lord has appointed each one of us to walk certain paths, too, and we must be faithful to them; but to do that, we must follow hard after Jesus and be as holy as He was. He said, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). Without divine holiness, you will never see God’s face. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Give Yourself to the Lord

Because Jesus gave everything for us, He is not asking too much when He says we must give ourselves completely to Him. The Bible says, Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15). You may think you have already done that, but that is not so if you are not living holy.

Are you giving yourself to the things that are in the Word of God? Those things should come first in your life, and that is just your reasonable service. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

Paul was overwhelmed with the things of God; and he gave himself completely to them saying, For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:14). Before Paul was saved, he had given himself to many things; but they were not the things of God. He admitted later that he had been the chief of sinners. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15).

Paul had been a Pharisee; and when Jesus was on Earth, He told the Pharisees they were hypocrites. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell (Matthew 23:27,28,33)? The Pharisees did not give themselves over to the Word of God; they just pretended to. They prayed long prayers only for show and not because they loved God. The Lord hates hypocrites, and you must never follow them.

You must be pure and holy, and your tongue must be seasoned with the salt of Heaven. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (Colossians 4:6). What kind of tongue do you have? Are you a testimony for Christ?

The Bible says that we are to be living epistles of Christ. Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (II Corinthians 3:3). So few people really know and understand much about God and His Word; so His children must be living, walking Bibles of love, salvation, truth, honesty and all the good things of God. We must be end-time witnesses for Him.

Do You Have Divine Faith?

We must be faithful to God and live by faith as Jesus did. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him (Hebrews 10:38). Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

Let divine faith persuade you that God’s promises are true. Embrace them with your whole heart, and you won’t fear doing all that Jesus asks. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth (Hebrews 11:13). The saints of old had to claim the promises from afar, but we can hug them tightly to our hearts and feel them any time.

No one can serve the Lord and please God without His love and faith. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Your faith must be tried or you will never know whether it is dead faith or live faith. The Bible says that faith without works is dead. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26).

We believe in good doctors and good medicines; but we also believe that when they have done all they can do, Jesus is there standing taller than everybody else. We can also stand as tall as Jesus in faith. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

When Jesus was here, He asked, Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8)? The way the world is going now, the answer would be no. Jesus asked that question of people who trusted in themselves and had greater love for themselves than for Him. Such people will be sorry for all eternity.

The world is full of faithless people who have put Jesus on the back burner, and that is why they think He asks too much. They do not love Jesus with all of their hearts, and they prove it by staying out of church to do things with people instead of being with Him.

Say “Yes” to Jesus

True love gives the whole heart; it is not self-centered. It has trust and not doubt. You cannot say “yes” to Jesus when He is not your first love; and if you don’t think you have what it takes to do that, then ask for His help. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Luke 11:9).

The Lord will never rebuke you; He will gladly assist you and give you the extra love you need. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5). I have asked the Lord thousands of times to give me the wisdom I need to help people, to do His work and to yield to Him for anything He wants.

We can say “yes” to Jesus when we love him, because he first loved us (I John 4:19). We must know that within our own strength, we can do nothing and then ask Him for the help we need. He will supply that help, and then we can give to others what He has given to us—that is the Jesus way.

Let this simple story make this clearer to you: There was a little girl who adored her father; and he was so loving, kind and generous to her. Every year, she delighted in giving him something special for his birthday so she could see the joy on his face when he opened his gift. Of course, the little girl had no money to buy him anything because she was too young to have a job; but she would ask her father for some money and then joyfully use it to buy him a gift. That was love. In the same way, we can go to the Lord and get His riches and bestow them upon Him instead of stashing them away for ourselves.

We cannot say “yes” to Jesus by trusting ourselves; we have to be fully persuaded just like Abraham was that God can do whatever He has promised. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform (Romans 4:18-21).

Paul said, Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). That means until the day Jesus comes for His Bride.

The Lord is getting us ready to leave this world, but we must walk with Jesus and love Him in perfection. He came to be our big brother, and we are to be part of His family. He left all of His riches in Heaven and came to this sinful world to make us rich. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (II Corinthians 8:9).

Use God’s Love and Faith

The Lord first loved us, so He is not asking too much when He asks us to love Him in return; but if you do not give yourself to the love of God, then you will never amount to anything for Him. The Bible tells us that we are nothing without the love of God. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:1,2). You are worthless to Heaven without divine love, and you will never be able to give yourself to the Word of the living God unless you give yourself to His love.

There is a great lack of love in the world today, so God’s people must give themselves to His love; and then we will have plenty to give to others. The Bible tells us that the more love we give, the more it will multiply. Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied (Jude 1:2).

If you do not give yourself to love, you will give yourself to hate, resentment, prejudice, hurt feelings or other reactions that are unlike God; and you will not be a blessing to the Lord’s Kingdom. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God told me that He gave all of His love when He gave us Jesus to be our Savior.

Divine love and faith work together; so when you give yourself to God’s love, you will also give yourself to His faith. Without His love, you will give yourself to doubt, fear, frustration, oppression, depression and despair. Those things bring defeat, but the faith of God conquers; and because the Lord never asks too much, you must do whatever He wants through faith.

You can only receive the blessings of God through the faith and love which come from the divine blood that was spilled on Calvary. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). We have been made partakers of that divine blood. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end (Hebrews 3:14). Jesus became a human being just like we are, but He had divine blood in His veins instead of physical blood. Then He made it possible for us to have that same divine blood in our souls.

If you have that divine blood flowing in your soul today, you will live for all eternity because of God’s grace; but if you do not accept that grace, you will become a disgrace to the cause of Christ and His crucifixion. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

Jesus was crucified, but He was also resurrected; and you can give yourself over to the power of His resurrection and be resurrected into the newness of life. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10). Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). Paul could say those things because he had given himself to the love, faith and compassion of Christ.

You Must Have the Holy Ghost

Jesus never asked too much when He told us to give ourselves to the guidance and teachings of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth. Jesus said, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13). He also said, It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter [the Holy Ghost] will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 16:7).

Jesus told the disciples, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). Those greater works will be done through the power of the Holy Ghost.

When you receive the Holy Ghost, He will live on the inside of you. For he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:17). Your body will become His temple. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own (I Corinthians 6:19)?

When Jesus came to Earth as very man, He needed the baptism of the Holy Ghost; and John the Baptist saw the Spirit descend upon Him in the form of a dove. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God (John 1:32-34).

Very few people in the Christian world today have the baptism of fire from On High; and without it, they will not have the power that goes with it. Then they will not have the miracles, the healings or the greatness of God in action. The Holy Spirit cannot perform His works through those kinds of Christians in any great way, and it is awful that God is being cheated and robbed when Jesus paid such a great price for them.

The Word tells us to live in the Spirit. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). But you are not going to do that unless He is in your innermost being and you give over to Him. Then He will flow rivers of living water within you and out to other people. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38).

You have to yield to the discipline of the Holy Spirit. He will let you know when there is even a tiny bit of disobedience in you because you have to be spotless when the Lord comes. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

Seek God’s Will

The scriptures are not hard to understand when you have and use the mind of Christ, and the Bible says you can have it. We have the mind of Christ (I Corinthians 2:16). You must also have the nine fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22,23). The Holy Spirit produces those fruits in your soul as long as you have the right kind of soil—a soul that has been purified through the divine blood. Then you do not have to be anxious about whether or not you have those fruits because the Holy Spirit will bring them forth when you depend on Him. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5).

After I had graduated from man’s theological school, the Lord spoke to me and said, “You have graduated from man’s school, and now you have to be taught by the Holy Ghost”; and He has done that. Through the teachings of the Spirit, I have learned so much, both good and bad; and I have studied people through the eyes of Jesus and His grace and love.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). God will work His will in you so that what He wants is what you want. If you are really hungry for His help, He will give you the will to find it so you will not waste time going after worthless things.

The Bible says, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). When you give yourself to the things of God, you are proving what He will accept and what His perfect will is for man today. Many people do not know God’s perfect will; but all true children of God should reveal His perfect will by the way they live all the time, not just part of the time. Let Him have His way so He can perform His will through you, and you will be the kind of blessing He wants you to be.

You need to say to yourself and always remember that with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27). You cannot just say words in prayer; you must adopt the different words of Jesus as your own. The Father heard every word Jesus spoke while He was here on Earth, and Jesus knew that. He said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).

Jesus gave others only what He heard from His Father. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak (John 12:49). Doing what God wanted took all of Jesus’ time, and we are to be like Him.

The Potter—God—knows how to work with the clay—us. If you believe that, you will trust Him to mold and make you into a vessel of honor who always says, “Yes, Lord, yes.” Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour (Romans 9:21)? We have to be perfect clay in the Lord’s hands so He can use us in any way He wants to. But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand (Isaiah 64:8).

Believe the Word

Jesus is not asking too much when He says we must live in the righteousness, holiness and purity of God. Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:12). Jesus said, Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). When you give yourself over to the holiness and righteousness of God, you can walk in the steps of the man called Jesus; and He is our example. Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth (I Peter 2:21,22). There was no guile ever found in Jesus’ mouth; He was sinless.

We must give ourselves completely to all the things God tells us about in His holy Word and be yielded to them, but many so-called Christians deny so much of what the Bible teaches that it is pathetic. They are not taking the true Gospel of deliverance to the world when Jesus said, This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). The true Gospel is confirmed with signs, wonders, miracles and healings.

Today, many who claim to be Christians and even preachers and teachers think it is asking too much to live free from sin because they do not give themselves to the Word of God which says, For sin shall not have dominion over you [after you are saved]: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness (Romans 6:14,18).

The Bible also says, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). When Jesus was on Earth and He healed people, He told them to go and sin no more. Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14).

Jesus never told people to do anything they could not do with the help of the Father. They were the same things Jesus did as a human with the Father’s help; and He said, Follow thou me (John 21:22). Jesus told us how to do that when He said, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24).

When you deny self, it means that you give yourself to the Lord and to the teachings He brought; and that is not asking too much. Have you given yourself to the Lord, or have you held something in reserve? Have you given yourself to everything in the Word of God, to His holiness, righteousness and grace?

Many people think God is asking too much when He says they must fast, and that is why there are no signs and wonders in many churches today. The people do not fast, pray and really seek God when the Lord said, This [miracle] kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

Paul said that he was in fastings often (II Corinthians 11:27). This ministry would never be what it is today without much fasting, and many fasts have lasted for forty days at a time to bring about the greatness of God that people see in service after service.

Believe in God’s Miracles

Jesus wants us to give ourselves to miracles and healings. Some people claiming to be Christians do not believe in them because they will not give themselves over to the miracle power of the Lord. If Jesus had not been the miraculous Christ, He would not have brought a Gospel of deliverance to the human race and accomplished all that He did. He had hands of clay just like ours, but He gave Himself so completely to the Father that God used His Son’s hands to work with great miracle power through the power of the Holy Ghost.

We must give ourselves to the things that Jesus brought and taught and become like Him, but many people would rather die than give themselves to the Word of God and be healed. They will not embrace the promise of the living God that says, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

Jesus came to Earth as the healing Christ. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). People throughout the Earth are being healed of AIDS through this Jesus ministry because I teach them about the Word of God and the divine blood. That is the blood Jesus spilled on Calvary, and it will heal you of any disease and deliver you from any sin if you will give yourself to it. You can join a church and shake the preacher’s hand, be confirmed or be baptized in water; but only the divine blood can really save you.

The Light of the Truth

I do not travel to the nations with a lifeless Gospel; I take God’s promises of miracles and healings. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). I know Jesus never asks too much; so I give myself to the Lord, and the blind get their sight, the deaf hear and cripples are made to walk. People are healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases, and those who are devil possessed are set free and immediately come into the light of the Gospel.

The Gospel light is the greatest of all the lights on Earth, and it will shine into the darkest corners of this sin-cursed world. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up (Matthew 4:16). The Gospel will light up homes that are filled with sin, but the Lord has to use His children as reflectors of His light. That is why we have to give ourselves to that light of love, faith and truth.

Jesus said, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12). He also said, Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:14,16). You will be the light of the world when you give yourself to the Gospel truth.

Jesus never asked too much when He said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). If you do not give yourself to divine truth, you will give yourself to things that are false; and that does not please God. You have to give yourself to the Lord and to His truth, light, faith, love, grace, hope, courage and compassion to be able to walk the narrow road that leads to Heaven.

Jesus said, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). The straight and narrow way has no detours, and that is the only road Jesus told about when He was on Earth. We have to follow the paths He has laid out for our feet. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:6).

Divine Protection

Do you take the thoughts of God that He asks you to? How many of His thoughts do you let Him give you in a day? It is sad when we will take them one minute, and then take ourselves out of God’s hands the next and turn our minds to other things. The Bible plainly tells us what to think on. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

The Holy Ghost will use these six things to clear your mind; so you must think on things that are true, honest and pure and not things that are false, dishonest and impure. You must think about things that are of a good report, not a bad report. You must give yourself to good thoughts or self will take you to bad thoughts.

Good thoughts will bring praise, not grumbling and complaining; and the Lord cannot use you when you do those things. The Bible says, Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD (Psalm 150:6). In some churches, you never hear a godly shout of any kind; but at Grace Cathedral, there are always praises and hallelujahs going up to the Lord because we are full of His praises.

Praises back the devil off, and God’s armor protects you from him. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).

Every part of God’s armor is divine, and that is what we need because we are in spiritual warfare. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). We are in all-out war with the devil, but he cannot defeat divinity. We just have to run into the Lord’s refuge of truth, and the devil cannot harm us. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

The Lord will bear us up above the storms on the wings of Jesus Christ. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

This Is the End Time

Do you think the Lord is asking too much to want you to embrace His prophecies? Very few people today are true Christians who are looking for the soon-coming of the Lord because God’s prophecies are not real to them. If they were, the Holy Spirit would make those prophecies come alive as if they were spoken today by the God of Heaven. They would put a “go ye” into people’s hearts to get this Gospel to the world before time runs out. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

Jesus said, When ye shall see these things [my prophecies] come to pass, know that it [my coming] is nigh, even at the doors (Mark 13:29). If you do not give yourself to the Lord day and night, you will not have the Lord’s vision of this hour. Instead, you will have the vision of frustration and despair, and you will fear the chaos that is going on in the world. You will have the vision of what the devil is doing, and you will not see the hand of God or walk in His faith.

Do you have the Lord’s vision of this end-time hour and the soon-coming of the Lord? Do you have the vision of the judgments that are about to come upon the Earth? The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again (Isaiah 24:20).

You Must Give All

Jesus never asks too much, so you have to give yourself to the Lord in every part of your life. Do not look at what other people or members of your family are doing; give yourself completely to the Lord. When He has the whole you, you will prove it in deed and in truth.

If you do not keep yourself in the hands of God all the time, you may be out of His hands when the Rapture takes place. His promises will be out of reach to you, and you will not be able to use them. You have to qualify for each promise in the holy Word of God before it can be fulfilled for you, so there is no need for you to claim a promise unless you qualify for it. For example, the Bible says that God will forgive you of your sins; but first, you have to qualify and repent. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation (II Corinthians 7:10).

Jesus came all the way from Heaven so man could be forgiven, and no one can make it without His forgiveness. The first Adam failed us and sold us into sin and degradation; but Jesus became the Second Adam, and He came to buy us back along with everything God wanted us to have.

The New Testament is God’s will for us, and we are joint-heirs with the Lord. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). Jesus shared everything with us, and we will inherit everything that He has inherited. Jesus even said that His Father was our Father when He taught the disciples to pray saying, Our Father which art in heaven (Matthew 6:9).

If you are not a joint-heir with Jesus today, I want you to come to Him right now. He went all the way to Calvary so you would not have to go to hell, so lift up your hands and say this prayer: Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me of my sins. I am so sorry that I sinned against you, but I have come home; and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I give my life and my whole self to you. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

Let Jesus come in now and then live for Him. Read your Bible and look to Him, and never think He is asking too much of you. Let the Holy Spirit direct you and help you, and you will know how to give yourself to the things of God.

Jesus Wants to Heal You

If you need healing, do you wonder if God’s miracles are for you? If you are blind, do you wonder if God wants you to receive your sight? Of course, He does. He gets no glory out of you being blind; He gets glory out of you receiving your sight. The Lord came to do good things for all those who would look to Him. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17).

You may have AIDS, leprosy, TB, heart trouble, paralysis or blindness; but it does not matter what it is because Jesus said all things are possible if you will only believe, and faith in God heals the sick. Give yourself to the faith, love, grace and promises that Jesus brought; and you can be healed. If you have an afflicted child, I agree with you mothers and daddies for that little one to be cured.

Here they are, Lord. I have given them your Word, and I have given them a chance to give their lives to you. Now, I bring those who are sick and afflicted to you; and I know you are ready to heal their sick bodies. With miracle blood power, I cast those foul afflictions from their bodies; and I command those who are devil possessed to be set free and for those who are on drugs and alcohol to never crave them again. Heal! in that all-powerful, blood name. Heal!

Get well now, and give the Lord all the praise. Then write or email and tell me about it so I can rejoice with you. Give yourself daily to His Word. God bless.
