Inspiration influences, guides, motivates; it is a thought or feeling. Kindness inspires love, but inspiration will not give you the reality you need. Inspired one moment, people all too often find themselves uninspired the next. Inspiration that comes in like a breeze may vanish like a puff of smoke. You can receive divine inspiration from a portion of scripture, and then an interruption dissolves that inspiration in an instant. Inspiration is like that: it comes and goes. Inspiration is wonderful, but within itself it will not last.

Inspiration must be held to, protected, looked after, yielded to so it can take you into God’s opinions. Yield to God’s inspiration; receive His revelation of truth. If you don’t move beyond just being inspired, you will not make progress. Many are not nourished by the Word of God because they are not inspired to go deeper.

Let inspiration influence you to reach out for God’s greatness, for the revelation of what He is saying to you in His Word. With inspiration read God’s Word. If you are not inspired in the Scriptures, no matter how much you may read them you will not have a revelation of faith, of God’s works, love and of His moving for you. You will not be inspired enough to hear the Lord saying, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). To each child of God, the Holy Spirit seeks to give inspiration. He will inspire you in your studies, to listen to what He is saying, but you must accept His inspiration.

Different kinds of inspiration can influence us: Man’s inspiration, Earth’s inspiration and Heaven’s inspiration. To have Heaven’s inspiration is marvelous. You are inspired with the Bible, with prayer, fasting, God’s love, faith, peace, holy living, holy conversations, and the thoughts of God. You think upon the things God thinks upon; you use the thoughts of the Holy Spirit because you are inspired by Him, inspired to listen, inspired to sing, to pray.

The inspiration, revelation and reality of God’s love: What has it done? What did it do in the Garden of Eden? What did it do for the Noah family, for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? What did it do for Joseph, Moses, Elisha, Elijah, Daniel, and the three Hebrew boys? They all were inspired, but had they failed to take that inspiration into revelation and then reality, their lives would not have blessed others. Inspiration alone doesn’t get the job done. Inspiration leads you to the work of the Lord, it motivates you to action.

Thought Life Can Feed the Soul

If you have no inspiration in your thought life, your thoughts will defeat you. However, if you are inspired by the Holy Spirit, your thought life will feed your soul.

Every thought of God that finds lodging is a thought the devil tries to shoot down. Inspiration tells you that you have the shield of faith to ward off his darts, and the Holy Spirit uses that inspiration to help you raise the shield. As you do, the enemy’s darts fall at your feet, his thoughts fade away. They’re dead. Rendered helpless. How marvelous that this can happen to you!

Does the devil worry you almost to death? If so, why not take the inspiration of the Holy Spirit? Rather than struggling with tormenting thoughts, let the Holy Spirit inspire you, direct you, lead you into God’s thought–room. There the Holy Spirit will deliver all kinds of beautiful thoughts.

Think on the things that inspire. Put under the blood those thoughts that rob you of your peace. People who cause you hurt and anxiety put under the blood every time they come to mind and cover them with a blanket of love. God’s love is so deep you can bury anything in it.

When you give in to self, you are not letting the Holy Ghost guide you with the right thoughts, steer you away from thoughts that would pull you out of the will of God. Flesh and the devil lead you to people who are not a blessing and whom you cannot help. Some people simply do not want the Lord.

We are meant to help each other, to carry the wonderful fragrance of Heaven. How refreshing it is to meet people with that fragrance! They speak with the same love Jesus spoke to the disciples, say the same things He said, giving much food for thought. You don’t want trash for thought; you want edifying food.

If anything troubles you, don’t keep it churning on your mind. Dwelling on your troubles won’t give you the inspiration you need. Where will you get a revelation on how to solve them without an inspiration? You can’t have a revelation on what God will do when you are not inspired.

Lay Your Burden at the Feet of Jesus

How many times have you lacked enough inspiration to hear the voice of the Lord saying, “Come Child, bring me your troubles and I’ll give you rest”? Have the inspiration to lay that burden down at Jesus’ feet, inspiration of courage, faith, determination to help you leave it there. Some people are in the habit of just visiting the Lord with their load. There they stand, all burdened down crying, Oh, God, help me! How can He help them when they won’t let the Holy Spirit inspire them enough to hear the voice of Jesus telling them to cast their burden on Him? Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7).

Hear the voice of Jesus in every promise in the Bible. Be inspired by Him as much as the disciples were who lived with Him. He did not live on the inside of the disciples before He ascended into Heaven, but He lives on the inside of you who have been born again.

Paul said, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). Paul was inspired. The thought of the Lord living on the inside is inspirational. If not, you are not inspired enough for the Scriptures to mean anything to you, and so you can’t get a revelation of the greatness of the promises of God.

Every promise of God is a revelation, a miraculous, divine revelation. The Holy Spirit is taking the Bride from inspiration and revelation into reality. You will never know that reality if you go no further than inspiration, the first step, and then back down. Stepping into inspiration, and then stepping away from it, you wonder what is wrong, why you seem to be getting nowhere with the Lord. This pattern is followed again and again, and you find yourself going around in circles. Be inspired enough to follow that first step with a step higher into revelation. Then you will be within reach of the third step, the reality in the things of God. Every step now reaches higher and higher into the greatness of God.

If you live in fear of death, your vision of the grave is limited. Fear blots out inspiration. How can you be inspired thinking about death the wrong way? I find no inspiration in reading that Lazarus died; I am inspired because he was raised from the dead. He came out of the tomb, graveclothes and all, and Jesus said, Loose him, and let him go (John 11:44). Glory be to God!

For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him (II Timothy 2:11). Inspiration will give you a great revelation of this scripture, revelation that will find lodging in your heart. The promise of eternal life with Jesus gives His children much joy. Don’t let others, no matter how much you love them, take away your inspiration.

Revelation is God’s disclosure, God’s manifestation of Himself and His will to all mankind. He inspires with His good blessings. If I hear something that inspires me, lifts me up a little higher in Him, I want to keep it. As I use that inspiration, it brings revelation. The Holy Spirit inspires me to spend all kinds of time at the feet of Jesus, learning more and more of Him; anything less than His teaching is distasteful to me. To be inspired for each message that God gives me, to know the mind of the Lord, I must spend time with Him. One hundred percent, my mind must be connected with His so that He can use it like His own, say the things He wants said.

Our Source of Inspiration

The Holy Spirit is the greatest source of inspiration I have ever found. His business is to inspire us daily, to take us into the revelation of the things of God not previously known or realized.

A revelation is something we hadn’t been aware of before. If we were to stack all that we have the revelation on against what we are not conscious of, our stack would look puny indeed. The revelation of saving grace, for example, is small, but fortunately it’s enough for us to receive salvation. What is in grace? Until you are inspired, you will not get much out of the subject of grace. You may be inspired at different times with the word grace, but it’s like a fleeting shadow that comes and goes. Compared to Heaven’s knowledge, we understand little of what really is in the Word of God. The keeping power of the Lord is beyond our minds.

Be Patient

Coming to the Lord does not immediately give you a revelation of the whole Bible. That comes day after day, week after week. Here a little, there a little. You get that revelation through inspiration, not through deadness of mind, not through man’s opinions. You may have carried the Bible to Sunday School, but put it down when you were inspired to do other things, such as having a good time and being free in your own spirit. Then one day you felt the touch of the Lord. I want you, He said. The Spirit of God began to deal with your heart, and through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, you started on your way to Calvary. The inspiration of the Holy Spirit is different from fleeting inspiration because it leads to revelation.

Lack of the first two steps, inspiration and revelation, has hindered many from knowing the reality of God. If you don’t have the reality of Him, you have torment, mind battles that you cannot overcome. If you don’t have His reality, you don’t have great Jesus victories. Without reality you cannot walk the waters of life’s rough seas.

The Reality of God’s Greatness

To serve and use God’s love, you must have God’s reality. Having reality of the greatness of God enables you to plead the blood, use the blood of Jesus to defeat the devil.

When you have reality, you have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. You have salvation, the love, the faith of God, and the fire of the Holy Ghost burning on the altar of your heart. In having reality, you know the hour in which you live, and you are not downcast. The journey is a short one. If you have reality, you are listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying, your ears and eyes are anointed, and you are encouraged with God’s understanding. You see the things God is seeing, hear the things He is saying. This is an hour of reality for the Bride.

Reality is anything that is true; anything real is true. Reality is not pretence, not imagined. Reality is a state or quality of being real. Many people who think they have it do not have the Lord’s reality; in fact, they never had it.

Rejoice in God’s Benefits

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity [love] (I Corinthians 13:13). With the inspiration and revelation of God’s love, the Bride is rejoicing in the reality of love’s benefits. The Bride, living, walking in all reality, delights in the steps of Jesus. To live like Jesus, to act, talk like Him is not a life filled with fantasy, but a life built on reality.

Jesus brought a new and living way. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly, Jesus said (John 10:10). I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus worked hard to keep the disciples inspired. They were inspired to accept all He was saying, but then they lost that inspiration when things didn’t take place in the way they thought they should. They expected Jesus to set up His Kingdom here on Earth, to defeat the Roman oppression—perhaps call fire down on every last one of their enemies. When that didn’t happen, they lost their inspiration, and Jesus had to work with them some more. He walked the waters before their very eyes, inspired Peter to the extent he had the revelation that he, too, could walk on water, could do the things Jesus did. But fear came in, and Peter suddenly lost the inspiration, the revelation and the reality of it, and he began to sink. When Christ was arrested, Peter sank even further: He failed completely.

The Reality That Pentecost Brought

After the Resurrection, however, Peter soared from inspiration to revelation and from revelation to reality. He stood. On the Day of Pentecost, who faced a crowd of people that not long before had cried out for the death of Jesus? Why, it was Simon Peter himself. He preached, not through inspiration or revelation, but through reality. Peter had all living reality of Jesus and of the Holy Ghost whom he had just received, such reality that he lost sight of his life and became like Jesus.

In the beginning of the Church, people knew the living Christ, the true inspiration from the Holy Spirit that led to the revelation of His reality. They knew He healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases. They were inspired by the one called Jesus to be witnesses no matter the consequences, no matter what they had to suffer for it.

Those who watched Him ascend out of sight into Heaven held to the revelation of “I will come again!” It brought living reality of His second coming. They knew He was the Son of God, very God manifested in the flesh.

The Early Church members were messengers of God, sons and daughters, the mouthpieces of the Lord speaking the things of God, and they who were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word (Acts 8:4). This is a picture of the Bride in this last and final hour. We have seen her in the types and shadows of the Old Testament, but now she is coming forth and living in spiritual Canaan. The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit are in her life. That fruit inspires her to serve God’s love; inspiration has brought the revelation of what God’s love will do.

Miracles Are Real

In this final hour, the Holy Spirit is moving fast. He needs people to move with Him. You can be Heaven’s inspiration, revelation and reality of God’s love. What a marvel that is! To reveal God’s love, keeping power and tenderness to others is indeed a privilege. Everyone needs the reality of God’s all–mighty power in this the final hour.

You who have seen miracles know they are real. It’s a fact that God heals today, a statement of fact. Reality is fact. It’s a statement of fact, Sinner, that you can put your sins under the blood of Jesus and they all will be destroyed. It’s a statement of fact, afflicted one, that you can put all those diseases under the blood just as you put your sins there. The blood will destroy them because the blood destroys the works of the devil. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). Sin and sickness definitely are the works of the devil that Jesus came to destroy. With His blood stripes we are healed. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Without divine blood we couldn’t be healed. Divinity heals us; we can’t heal ourselves. Put your disease or affliction under the blood and leave it there. Some people come to me through inspiration and don’t go on to the revelation of God’s promises for them. They think they might be healed, but they also think they might not be. Doubt kills their inspiration; their faith can go no further. They exist on “accidental” inspiration. Accidentally they became inspired for the moment. They are inspired to receive healing from the Lord, but they don’t have the revelation of getting well. It’s like a sinner coming to the altar with an inspiration to seek salvation but no revelation to surrender himself to God and receive it.

Don’t Lose God’s Inspiration

You may be inspired to seek the baptism of the Holy Ghost but not have the revelation of His speaking through you. In this condition you won’t receive the revelation and the reality of the Holy Ghost baptism. You are inspired to praise God awhile, but before long, you stop. Inspiration if not taken further will weaken and finally disappear. Have you ever been inspired to buy something and then a few days after you brought it home you lost that inspiration and were bored with it? You can lose your inspiration to seek the Holy Ghost baptism. The inspiration of the Holy Spirit, however, when embraced and acted on does not fade but leads into the revelation of what God can do.

The devil will rob you of it if you pay attention to him. Never let the devil talk to you at all. Hold to the Holy Ghost.

Jesus said, Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you (Luke 24:49). In Acts we read, For the promise is unto you, and to your children and to all that are afar off (Acts 2:39). The Holy Ghost is promised believers. You may be inspired by others who have the Holy Ghost, but you need more: A revelation from God for that promise. It isn’t enough to know that God has filled His Word with promises; you must claim those promises for yourself. Every promise in the Bible is yours. If you don’t receive the revelation of the promise, you will not receive the reality of it. Accept the inspiration to seek the Holy Ghost and use that inspiration to get the revelation and then the reality of the promise.

Perhaps you have tried before to receive the Holy Ghost and He has not come in. You wonder why. It’s because you did not linger in His presence to get the revelation. This individual baptism is the Lord’s will for you. It was given to you so it could become reality. Every promise, remember, in the Bible is yours.

The Lord has promised the Holy Ghost to all who obey Him: The Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32). When you know you are obedient to Him, and you have that revelation, the Holy Spirit is able to help you reach for His baptism until He comes in. Suddenly He is real; He is a person, and He has your tongue, your vocal organs as He speaks through you in another language. Now you have the reality of Him, the reality of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Next to the reality of finding Calvary, the reality of the Holy Ghost baptism is the greatest thing in the world. When you have it, how beautiful it is! Treasure it, hold it to your heart. All the demons and devils in hell can’t keep God’s promises from becoming reality to you if you believe them, nothing doubting. When the Bride takes these three steps into the Word of God, inspiration, revelation and reality, she will have everything God offers in living reality, saith the Lord.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God (II Timothy 3:16). Inspired by the Holy Spirit you know the Scripture is infallible. It is not the inspiration of man; it is the inspiration of God, divine inspiration. Every Word that God has spoken contains His divine inspiration. If you accept His divine inspiration, it will lead you into His divine revelation. Let His divine revelation take you into the reality of the Bible, the reality of the greatness of God.

Jesus Is Still Performing Miracles

Hold fast this personal revelation in the Word: I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). Jesus said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). Use the revelation of that promise and claim the fulfillment of it.

These are the teachings, saith the Lord, that the Bride must have. Step by step the Lord is bringing you in to His greatness, teaching you as one would teach a little child to walk. Soon the child, eager to learn, is running, climbing, jumping. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). The Lord will take the Bride in His arms, leap from mountain to mountain with her.

Remember, you had a revelation of what happened to your sins when you received salvation: they were cast into a sea of forgetfulness. The same thing can happen to your sicknesses. I say again, the blood destroys the works of the devil; Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He spent much time healing people of their sicknesses and diseases. Divine healing from Heaven for the body is mentioned in the four Gospels more often than salvation, the Holy Ghost, and Heaven are mentioned. In the Gospels, physical healing is stressed. The Lord knew if He could make physical healing real to people, inspire them to reach out and touch Him, the Great Physician, for their pains, they would be ready to receive Him into their hearts. And so He brought the inspiration for healing of the body, and that inspiration became a revelation and the revelation became reality for multitudes of people. That’s how He got into hearts when He walked the earth, and that is how He will get into hearts today throughout the world.

Let the Holy Ghost inspire you to come to the Lord for healing if that is your need. Receive the revelation of the greatness of God’s healing power, the healing blood, and then your healing, your miracle become reality. That which is real, you can take with you; the real brings results. Divine healing is real. You don’t earn your miracle, you can’t buy it. It’s a promise of God to be claimed.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). That same Jesus who healed the people so long ago is here today to heal. In faith touch Him like the woman with an issue of blood touched His garment. Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour (Matthew 9:22). Take the revelation of His garment, the faith that you can touch Him, and know the reality of being made whole.

When I was dying so many years ago, the Lord came to me and made me whole all over. He can do the same for you when you let a revelation of God’s promise of healing be reality to you.

As I pray for you, know that the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). This reality is absolute; you can absolutely get well. Oh, God, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. Jesus, you healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases when you were here on Earth; and you are the miracle Promise today as yesterday. You are our healer as well as our Savior. From your supernatural gift of miracles and your wonderful gifts of healing it comes in your name, Jesus: Heal! in the holy, holy name of Jesus, in the almighty name of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the living God.

The healing power is flowing; Jesus is with you now if you accepted that prayer. Let the reality of Him get you well. Live in His reality and serve Him in His fullness to others. Inspiration, revelation and reality: Rejoice as these three steps take you ever deeper into the greatness of God and prepare you to claim all that God has for you in this last and final hour.
