In Reach

In the Old Testament, we read of a man crying, Where is the LORD God of Elijah (II Kings 2:14)? Elijah was a true prophet of God, and there had not been a true prophet in Israel for many years until Elijah came along. Then we read of him standing before wicked King Ahab declaring, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word (I Kings 17:1).
Ahab did not believe Elijah when he said that; but when the rains stopped, the king believed him. Then Ahab began searching everywhere for Elijah, but he could not find him because he was hidden by a little brook that God had directed him to. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there (I Kings 17:3,4).
As a prophet of God, Elijah was used by the Lord to do many miraculous things; but when it came time for the Lord to take Elijah home, He had to raise up somebody to take his place. The Lord chose Elisha; and after He had prepared him, the Lord was going to take Elijah to Heaven alive.
The Lord reveals Himself to people when they have ears to hear and eyes to see the things of God, and the sons of the prophets knew about God’s plan to take Elijah to Heaven. Several different times they said to Elisha, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head today? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace (II Kings 2:3). Elisha had already known that the Lord was going to take Elijah.
Elijah Was Raptured
As Elijah and Elisha walked together, they came to the Jordan River and needed to get across; so Elijah struck the waters, and they separated to the left and to the right. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground (II Kings 2:8).
As they continued on their way, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me (II Kings 2:9). Elisha had such a godly spirit that he did not ask Elijah for his home, his money or his possessions; he only wanted a double portion of the Spirit of the living God that Elijah had. Elijah answered, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so (II Kings 2:10).
Elisha did not let Elijah out of his sight, and it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it (II Kings 2:11,12). Elisha was so carried away that for a moment he forgot about Elijah’s mantle of power he had asked for; but when he looked down, it was there. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him (II Kings 2:13).
When Elisha picked up that mantle, he wanted to know, “Is God really with me, and do I have a double portion of the power that Elijah had?” He remembered how the waters of Jordan had separated when Elijah struck them; so Elisha rushed back to that river and struck the waters crying in all faith, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over (II Kings 2:14). The waters separated again because Elisha was connected with Heaven.
Are you connected with the throne of God today? Can you say as Jesus said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42)? God taught us that He would hear the righteous. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34:15).
God was within Elisha’s reach; and God and His Son were in reach for so many people in the Bible. God put those stories in His Word so we could learn from them.
Jesus Brought Healing
The centurion was not of the household of faith, but he went to Jesus because he had a need—his servant had palsy, and there was no cure for it—and Jesus was in reach. And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented (Matthew 8:5,6). That servant must have been very valuable to the centurion for him to humble himself and take the time to search for Jesus. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Matthew 8:7,8,10,13). Jesus had not seen such great faith even among His own people. That centurion was not one of Jesus’ disciples, but he had faith; and Jesus honored it and healed the man’s servant that same hour.
Jesus was in reach for the Syrophenician woman whose daughter was grievously vexed with devils. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil (Matthew 15:22). Evidently, that woman’s daughter was in such bad shape that she could not even bring her to see Jesus. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour (Matthew 15:25-28).
If you want to touch the heart of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, humble yourself before the Lord; and you will get their attention. You do not have to beg; you just have to be obedient and have the spirit of Jesus.
God Can Do the Impossible
The woman with the issue of blood reached out and found Jesus. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes (Mark 5:25-30)? That woman had not gone to beg Jesus for a miracle or even to talk to Him but just to reach out and touch His garment. That is real faith, and real faith gets results. That woman was not only healed of her issue of blood; Jesus said she was made whole. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague (Mark 5:34).
Jairus used his faith and found that Jesus was within his reach. And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him [Jesus], he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live (Mark 5:22,23).
As Jesus followed Jairus to his house, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe (Mark 5:35,36).
Remember that the Lord said, With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). And Jesus proved that when He went on to Jairus’ house. And he [Jesus] cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment (Mark 5:38-42). You must let Jesus step out of the pages of the Bible and become living reality to you, and you must know that He always works in such simple ways.
Beware of Riches
Many people want Jesus to be in reach for them, but they don’t want His will. The rich, young ruler went looking for Jesus; and he said, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions (Mark 10:17-22). Jesus knew that man’s heart. If he had said, “Lord, if that is what you want, I will do it,” the Lord probably would not have expected him to sell all of his possessions. The Lord is reasonable; and that is why the Bible says, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). The Lord wants us to be willing to do anything for Him, no matter what it is.
Jesus was in reach for the rich, young ruler. He could have felt the Lord’s hand upon his brow and accepted His forgiving Spirit, and then he would have been made whole in the holiness and righteousness of God; but he left never to see Jesus again. The Lord taught that life is not made up of riches. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch (Proverbs 11:28).
Another rich man we find in the Bible said, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry (Luke 12:17-19). That man was talking to his soul, but the soul has to be fed on spiritual things or it will die. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided (Luke 12:20)? That man’s possessions had caused him to sell his soul to the devil.
The Bible tells of yet another rich man who could have reached out for Jesus if he had wanted to. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores (Luke 16:19-21). Lazarus was a type of Jesus at that man’s gate, but the rich man wanted nothing to do with him.
When Lazarus eventually died, angels carried his soul to Paradise. Later, the rich man also died, but devils carried his soul to hell. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame (Luke 16:23,24). Some people say there is no flame in hell, but that rich man found out too late that there was.
The rich man went on to say, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him [Lazarus] to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment (Luke 16:27,28). Suddenly, that rich man had a missionary spirit, but he only cared about his brothers and nobody else. That kind of selfish spirit ends up in hell and stays there for all eternity.
Paul Reached Out
Paul was guilty of having Christians put to death; but when the Lord placed Himself in reach of Paul, he reached out and accepted Him. And Saul [later called Paul], yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus (Acts 9:1-8).
Paul surrendered everything to the Lord that day, and God knew it; so He spoke to Ananias and sent him to deliver Paul. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized (Acts 9:17,18).
From that time on, Paul never turned back; and he went on to become one of the greatest apostles. Nobody ever suffered more for Jesus than Paul did, and he never compromised. He carried the Gospel to the Gentile people even though the Jews hated him and tried to kill him for it, but the Lord would not allow anyone to take Paul’s life until He was ready for him to die.
When it was almost God’s time for Paul to die for the sake of Christ, he wrote two glorious letters to Timothy, his son in the Lord, and said, For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing (II Timothy 4:6-8).
Know Where God Is
Are you rooted and grounded in the love and peace of God, in the joy and power of the Holy Ghost, in the nine fruits of the Spirit and in the Word of the living God like Paul was? Where is God in your life? The first place you must look is not around you but in your heart. The Lord said, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves (II Corinthians 13:5). You have to be the one to do that; nobody can do it for you.
If you are living like Paul did, then God is all around you and within you; and you can say, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). But unfortunately, some people do not really know where God is; and they are always trying to find Him. Even some of His own children will cry, “God, where are you?” But because they whimper, whine and cry in doubt, fear, frustration and despair, God does not answer them.
God told us how to find Him: And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Even sinners can find the Lord when they search for Him with their whole heart.
God gave His whole heart and all of His love when He gave Jesus; and if people will not accept that love, He has nothing more to offer them. Salvation only comes through Jesus. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Are you conscious of God being with you all the time or just part of the time? Jesus said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). He also said, Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). Jesus brought sunshine at midnight; so you can cry, “I am never alone. My Savior is always with me wherever I go.” And if the Lord will not go somewhere with you, you must not go. To be a holy saint of God, you have to come out of the world and leave it behind.
You Can Reach God
The Bible says, Behold the Lamb of God (John 1:36)! “Behold” means “to look upon Him.” Do you see Jesus? You must first see Him in the pages of the Bible before you will ever have any reality in Him, and then you must know that He is within your reach every moment of every day. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
Jesus has been made so nigh to us that whosoever will can reach out and touch Him and be born new. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). Jesus brought everything we need, and He put it within our reach; yet there are people who will not reach for it like they should.
Salvation is in reach of all people—the rich, the poor, the educated and the uneducated. Those things have nothing to do with your salvation because it comes freely through the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. When Jesus cried, It is finished (John 19:30) and bowed His head and died, the plan of redemption became available to all. The veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom—not from bottom to top as man would have done—signifying that God had come down. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (Mark 15:37,38).
Doesn’t it touch your heart to know that Jesus suffered, bled and died for you? My mother almost gave her life when I was born, and that always touched me whenever she would talk about it. It made me never want to hurt her in any way, and I never want to hurt Jesus either. Without His divine blood, we would still be loaded down with sin.
The Lord is not a man. When He forgives, He forgets; and He never remembers your sins against you again. Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19). The devil will try to worry you about your past sins, but how can he if they are no longer there? When Paul was saved, he closed the door of sin behind him. This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13,14).
No matter what sins you have committed, forgiveness and salvation are within your reach. Paul was one of the greatest apostles, but he said that he had been the chief of sinners. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15).
Some people will say, “I am a sinner, but I am saved.” You cannot be a sinner and be saved, or what are you saved from? To be truly saved, you have to be delivered from all sin and stay that way. The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4). It also says, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The Lord does not forgive one sin at a time, so either you are cleansed or not cleansed, righteous or unrighteous, holy or unholy. God said, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). When you are really living holy, you will get to the place where you don’t even want to sin anymore.
You Can Have God’s Fullness
The divine nature of God is in reach for you through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). Jesus came to make us sons and daughters of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).
As children of God, the divine cure for depression is within your reach. You can be happy because Jesus came to deliver you. You don’t need drugs or strong drink because the Lord will take you above all of that in His divine joy and happiness; and whenever you need more of His divinity, it is always within your reach.
You do not have to beg the Lord for anything; and if you do, He will not hear you. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Matthew 7:7). Even a little child knows how to seek and find something; and he learns at an early age that if he knocks on a door, it will open. Those things are within his reach, and God is within your reach, too.
We can be divine overcomers because everything Jesus brought was divine—divine love, divine peace, divine patience, divine grace, divine determination, divine goodness, divine gentleness and divine temperance. All the divinity that Christ brought is within our reach, and He showed us how to use it; so all we have to do is study His life. He said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me (Matthew 11:29). I depend on Jesus and on the divinity He brought, and I take that divinity to people all over the world who will accept it.
The Bible tells us that Jesus is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (Ephesians 2:14). Even so, some of you have no peace because you will not reach for it. I reach for the things of divinity so I can serve them to others, and we all must be ready to serve those things because we are to be the hand of God.
You have to be like Jesus. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). When you are like Jesus, then God will walk in you. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16).
All you have to do is reach for the things of God, and His divinity will be yours. When you need more power, it is within your reach. When you use the anointings He has given you, He will give you more. Heaven is so close now that you can have as much of it as you desire while you are on your way to that wonderful place.
Be Strong in the Lord
God’s Word is within our reach, and you will find God on every page of His Word. Then you must know that every word of it has all the powers of Heaven behind it. And they were astonished at his [Jesus’] doctrine: for his word was with power (Luke 4:32). The Word tells us to walk in Christ. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him (Colossians 2:6). That Word also says, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). Some of you will reason with people, but you won’t reason with God through His Word.
The whole armor of God is in the Word, and it is within your reach. You must know what it is and understand it, and you must dress in it every day. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Notice that there is no shield for the back with this armor. You have the shield of faith, and you must use it; but if you are a coward and running from the devil, you deserve to be shot.
You must grow up in the love, the grace and the power of Almighty God. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15). Then you will hear the Lord saying, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? No problem or sickness is too hard for God; so when you cry with all faith, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?”, the waters will separate for you. Then you will come out of your valley of sickness, trouble or despair shouting the praises of God. You will leave all bondages, oppression, depression, pains and anything else that has bothered you behind.
You must not be a doubter but a believer who is zealous of good works. You must know that God is on His throne in Heaven and on the throne of your soul all the time.
Keep Your First Love
You cannot spare yourself in this last hour. The Bible says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). When you give your life to the Lord, you are not your own. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price (I Corinthians 6:19,20).
When people first get saved, they are eager and willing to work for God. They have that first love they received at Calvary, and they are willing to do anything for Jesus; but later, some of them lose their first love. They no longer are willing to work for God, and they make all kinds of excuses; but they are robbing God of souls, and there is a penalty for that.
One day, the Lord showed me hands with the fingers spread out; and He said that if we didn’t fill in the gaps between the fingers with divine love, souls would slip through and into the devil’s hell—and once they are there, they can never get out. I still have my first love, and I am still ready to do anything for Jesus; and I give my life to help people every day.
When you have first love, you will also have divine faith; and you will know that God will supply all your needs. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). That is a promise of God, and we must live by His promises.
Without your first love, you will no longer tithe and give unto the Lord; and the Lord said that you are then like a man trying to fill up a sack with holes in it. Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes (Haggai 1:5,6).
Some people don’t think they make enough to tithe; but if you make a dollar, a dime of it belongs to the Lord. He is the one who made the tithing plan. And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD (Leviticus 27:32). Abraham paid tithes thousands of years ago. For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all (Hebrews 7:1,2).
The Lord told me that I was to teach people to tithe and give to Him and to tell them that He would bless them spiritually, physically and financially. Some preachers today put all the emphasis on people being blessed financially, but receiving from God spiritually is more important.
Glorify the Lord
If you want to be close to God, sing songs that He will sing with you. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19). In so many dead churches today, people sing anything but the right thing; and some denominations no longer even sing about the divine blood. Good, godly music and singing glorify the Lord, and they prepare your heart so the Word of God can find lodging in it.
You must not only glorify the Lord with your songs but also with your speech. The Bible says that if you are perfect in speech, you are a perfect person. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).
You must talk like God and have the Holy Ghost tongue of fire or you will talk about the wrong things. The Bible tells us our conversation is to be the same as it will be in Heaven, and Heaven’s speech is perfect. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).
Do you talk about or criticize other people? If you can’t say something good about someone, then don’t say anything at all because God hates gossip. Some of you will criticize others when you are guilty of doing the same things; but if you feel that the Lord has forgiven you, then why would He not forgive them? The Lord tells you not to judge others or He will judge you in the same way. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:1,2).
When you judge others, God has a cup of judgment for you just like the one you handed out to them. God does what He says He will do; so if you do not reach for mercy, judgment will be yours. You may think you are all right and on your way to Heaven, but you are deceived; and you are only all right to go to hell.
Divine Deliverance
The Bible says that when people saw miracles, they believed Jesus to be the Christ. Many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did (John 2:23). When people see divine miracles today, they believe, too; and thousands will come out of witchcraft and even receive the real Holy Ghost in a matter of a few minutes. Miracles open their eyes to the Gospel, and thousands are healed through mass miracles. Many who are healed of AIDS are ready to testify, and that opens doors for this ministry that never would have opened any other way.
We must preach Jesus to the world and be on the same mission that He was on to set captives free. Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18). We are to take the Lord’s place and be His living, working, walking epistles because we are the only Bible some people will ever read. What kind of Bible do they see in you? I make sure they see 100 percent truth in me.
It does not matter if people are in false doctrine or full of sin; showing them Jesus is the way to get them out. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). When Jesus was here, He told people they could be free; and today, He uses us to lead them. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
Jesus also said we are to preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:19); and that time, the year of Jubilee, is now. However, in the Old Testament, only every fiftieth year was Jubilee. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field (Leviticus 25:10-12). Slaves were set free; possessions were returned; debts were forgiven and lands restored, but now we can have Jubilee every day.
Reach Out for Jesus
If you are not saved today, God is within your reach; but you must reach out to Him. Say the sinners’ prayer right now and take Jesus as your Savior. Oh, God, I am lost. I have sinned against you and shamed you. I have said terrible things, so please forgive me, Lord, because I am so sorry. I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! I will never go back into the night; I am going to Heaven. I will serve you and help others to find you. If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come. Say, Hallelujah! He has come. Hallelujah! I am redeemed, and I have found the light.
Now, you must go on to receive the Holy Ghost because you will not make the Rapture without Him. He is a real person whom the Lord sent to live and dwell on the inside of us, and only with His power working within will you be changed when Jesus comes. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). That power cannot be around you; it has to be within you.
Receive All You Need
When I was just 23, I was so afflicted that I went to death’s door. I was in pain if I ate; and if I didn’t eat, I was starving to death. God was healing other people through my ministry, so I could not understand why He would not heal me. But one night, Jesus came and healed me all over; and I knew I was going to live to preach His Gospel to the whole world.
Now, I understand why I had to go through that—because God wanted me to know what suffering people were going through. I had to have the same compassion for people that Jesus had when He went to the whipping post and to Calvary. When I look into the eyes of a tortured person, my soul bleeds for them to be delivered; and I know that in some cases, it may be their last chance to receive. That is why I use all the faith I can for people, and divine faith is believing and accepting every word of God.
I cannot operate the divine gifts; the Holy Ghost operates them through me, but it took a lot of prayer and fasting to bring me to where I am today. The Bible says, This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Jesus did many mighty works, and He wants us to be able to do those works, too. Jesus said, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).
You can be healed right now, but you must sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). I am not your healer, but I can bring you in contact with the Healer; and His name is Jesus. He gets all the honor, the praise and the glory for every miracle.
God and His miracles are real, and they are within your reach today; so reach out for what you need right now. We have seen people healed of horrible strokes right before our very eyes. If you have AIDS, cancer or any other deadly disease, you can be healed. If your children were born with just a part of a brain, the Lord will give them a whole brain; He has done it again and again.
Lord, heal the people. You have already healed thousands of cancer, and some of them were in the last stages. You have re-created hearts and lungs and made cripples to walk. Lord, you can do anything, so do it now. You said all things are possible if we will only believe. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. Heal! in the holy name of the Lord. Feel that power going into you and be thou made well. Watch yourself get well and write and tell me about it, and I will rejoice with you.
