Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:19,20,23-25). Nebuchadnezzar’s big question: Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? Why, yes we did, his counselors affirmed. An absolutely amazed Nebuchadnezzar cried: I see four! Three men were cast into the furnace; but when he looked, he saw standing with them the Son of God.

Lo, I see four! A miracle cleared the way for a heathen king to see four. Surrounded by devil-possessed people, he needed a great miracle to bring home the reality of Almighty God. He was used to seeing just three, accustomed to seeking answers from astrologers and magicians. Those who see just three aren’t looking to God’s abundant source of supply for their answers, but to man and the devil. You want nothing the devil has to offer. It’s the Fourth One who has all the answers. When you see four you know that astrology is an empty shell, a diversion of the enemy. You call on the Fourth One for your help.

The Key to a Victorious Life

When you daily see that Fourth One, you are set apart from the world, living holy with the happiness of God flooding your soul. When you see four, you have answers from the Word of God to your problems, miraculous answers and promises.

When you can see the Fourth Man in your fiery trials, you will be an overcomer. When you see four, you are walking with God. All the strength, faith and love needed is at your fingertips. But if you just see man, if man is the only one you look to for help, you are in trouble. Your spiritual eyesight has failed you; the faith of God does not rule in your heart. You have not used the love of God.

The key to a victorious life lies in seeing the Fourth One. That One makes the difference, all the difference in the world. He gives life, power. That Fourth One brought down the greatness of Heaven, putting it within reach of each one of us. You can touch Heaven anytime when your eyes are on the Fourth One.

When you see four, you’re walking the waters with Jesus. Let the words I see four sing in your heart. Seeing four, you read the writing on the wall, recognize God-talk. Seeing four, you watch the end-time signs, knowing that Jesus is soon coming. But if you can’t see four, you are blind to this hour.

If you see four, you are secure in God’s promise covering every personal storm even before the storm breaks. Through the eye of faith you see God’s promises, knowing God keeps His promises. Again and again you draw from the rainbow of God’s love, declaring the miracle is from God; God will move for you when you see four.

When you see four, all other gods are cast down; the golden calf is gone, destroyed. Because Israel could only see three, they were in trouble most of the time. Seeing only three is the reason many are in trouble today.

Preachers who declare that no one can live free from sin only see three. You must see the Fourth One walking with man, that Fourth One joined with the three in the fiery furnace, divinity and humanity flowing together in one great stream of God’s eternal love. I see four. God provided Him.

God Hung the Earth on Nothing

God spoke the world into existence and hung it upon nothing. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing (Job 26:7). I marvel how well the earth hangs upon nothing!

Those who see only three in the furnace can’t believe God’s creative power. In fact, they doubt that God exists; all they see in the furnace is humanity. When you see four, you believe the whole Word of God. The story of creation in the book of Genesis thrills your soul. When you see four in the fiery furnace, you know that God made man out of the dust of the earth. But if you see only three, it’s easy for you to believe that man evolved from a monkey. Many are in “monkey” trouble because they see only three. When you can’t see the Fourth Man, you can’t believe the story of creation in Genesis; but when you see four, you see a glorious figure stooping down into the dirt, working with His hands. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). He spoke the rest of the world into existence, but He formed man out of the dust of the earth. Carefully God made man to never be sick, never die, never feel an ache or pain, never be sad, depressed, disappointed, bound in any way. God intended man to be free, free, free and so holy that God would come down in the cool of the day and walk hand in hand with him. So holy was man’s conversation in the beginning that he could personally talk to the God of Heaven.

If you don’t see four, you have problems; you wonder not only about the story of creation, but about the Ark, puzzled over how all the animals entered so orderly. It seems impossible. When you see four, the manner in which all the animals made their way into the Ark is not a stumbling block to you; God said they went in, and you know they went in. It was His miracle.

Elijah Saw Four

When you see four you see Elijah’s cloud the size of a man’s hand and know it’s the sign of abundant rain. Ahab was a wicked king. Because he let his wife bring idol worship into the kingdom, the heavens were shut up; for three years no rain had fallen in Israel. Then at the end of those three years Elijah confronted Ahab, slew Ahab’s prophets of Baal, and told Ahab: Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain (I Kings 18:41-45). When Elijah heard a little cloud the size of a man’s hand appeared in the sky, he knew the rain was coming. He could see four.

The Voice of Heaven

Elijah’s servant didn’t always have the vision of God’s miracle power like his master had; he saw three—all human. His only contact with the Fourth Man was through the voice of Elijah.

If you just see three, you hear only human voices; but when you see four, you tune in on Heaven, listening to God-talk, the voice of Heaven. Opening the Bible and seeing four brings God-talk to your heart. If you see only three, the Bible is just another book to you, a standard you cannot live up to; but when you see four, you are free and determined to stay free from all sin. You have been made holy and you choose to remain that way until Jesus comes for you. You see four.

Follow the Cloud

How many do you see in your fiery furnace? When you see three, you don’t follow the miracle cloud. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people (Exodus 13:21,22). Israel moved when the cloud moved; when the cloud stopped, they stopped. But the day came they didn’t follow the cloud, and the cloud moved off and left them. Seeing only humanity, the Israelites had overlooked the Fourth One, the Divine One wrapped in a miracle cloud.

The reason you move with Him: you see four. When that Fourth One moves, you move. When the Fourth One stops, the cloud stops; and you stop, waiting until He moves again.

The Lord Will Do Wonders

Everyone on Earth will be able to see God’s miracle hand in this hour. Whosoever will, let him come and partake of eternal life, let him enjoy the blessings of the Lord. Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you, Joshua told the Israelites (Joshua 3:5). The Lord was about to perform a great miracle. The people knew before they started marching around the walls of Jericho that the Lord would deliver the city into their hands.

When you see four before you start marching, you know that the walls of your bondage will come tumbling down. Not trying to tear down the walls in your own strength, you go in obedience to the Lord. You do the little things, and He does the big. You see four.

Those who see only three in the furnace try to tear down the walls themselves, and it never works. Great despair overtakes them in their failure. Many have given up, deciding there was no need to try to overcome anymore; it was hopeless. They depended on the arm of flesh when all the while the great arm of the Lord was waiting to move for them.

If you just see three, you can’t believe the holiness and perfection of man in Eden before he fell. Consequently, you can’t believe in the saving grace and power of Calvary, for Calvary is the door back into Eden, that eternal Eden where man will live forever, enjoying the blessings and fellowship of God. It will be wonderful in Heaven, but it’s wonderful on our journey there when we see four.

Stand Still and See the Salvation of the Lord

Moses saw four; and he said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today (Exodus 14:13). If you don’t see four, you will run scared; it’s all you can do. Sooner or later your feet will fail you, but all who depend upon the Fourth One in the furnace will overcome. They will stand still, seeing the Lord’s salvation.

The reason depression and negativity dominate many Christians is because they see only three in their fiery trials. They claim to be saved, but it isn’t obvious by their actions. They’ve closed their eyes to the promises of God. When you can’t see the Fourth Man, you’re blind indeed, groping in the dark, frightened almost to death, afraid you will fail. You have neglected the wonder of Him.

But when you see the Fourth One, you have no difficulty believing the stories of Daniel in the den of lions and the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace. The miracles in the Bible are completely believable; you accept them all heart and soul. The miracle God that brings miracles and healings today is a part of your life.

Jesus Is with You All the Way

It’s time for every child of God to see four, not just part time, but all the time. Do you look around on certain days and fail to see the Fourth One? That means you aren’t prayed up, not on fire for the Lord the way you ought to be, not fasted up, not walking as close to the Lord as He wants. If you were, you would hear Him whispering in your ear: Lo, I am with you all the way! I will never leave you nor forsake you. You know that He is there and He cares, He cares, He cares. Never again will you say you are alone. You will be shouting I’m never alone! Jesus is with me! When you see the Fourth One, you’re ready to go into the fiery furnace in the name of the Lord, into the jaws of persecution. In this final hour when you can see the Fourth One, you will not grumble and complain in the valley, but rejoice because you know He is there with you. Grumbling would mean you have taken your eyes off the Fourth Man. You had rather be in the furnace with Him than to be outside with humanity. Boldly you cry: Jesus I knew you would be here! Jesus I knew you would be in my valley before I walked into it. I delight in you! I see you; I recognize you. I know you Jesus!

When you see four, disappointments go, discouraging thoughts leave you. When you see four, you can climb the highest mountain, waving the blood-stained banner of Christ; for He is your sufficiency, your eternal hope and trust, the greatness of your life on Earth and in eternity.

You see four, and you know you’re almost home; it’s almost time for Jesus to come. He’s coming after a people looking for Him; when you see four, you are looking.

It’s time for us to shout the praises of God throughout the whole earth, time to cry to a lost and dying world, I see four! I see four! I see the Son of God! I see Jesus, the wonderful One. I see Jesus, the great One. I see Jesus, the all-conquering One. I see Jesus, the crucified One. I see Jesus, the resurrected One. I see Jesus the King coming for me!

Jesus Separates the Waters for Us

We’re moving with the Lord in this final hour, and nothing will defeat us, nothing can stop us as long as we see the Fourth Man. We are moving, for we see four, not three.

We see the waters separating because we see four. Not trying to make our own way, not trying to build our own ark, we go His way knowing He will separate the waters for us. Why should we let our hearts be troubled, why should we be afraid? Jesus came all the way from Heaven to tell us, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Jesus took on a wrapper of flesh—hands, feet, eyes. He ate the way we eat. Yes, Jesus took on the form of a human being to let us know that we don’t have to fear anything, man nor devil.

Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). He gives you His deliverance, His faith. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Why be afraid? You have no time to fear, to be troubled when you can see that Fourth Man.

When you see four in the furnace, you see streams in the desert turn into rivers of living waters flowing to make one great ocean of miraculous, healing, delivering power to cover the whole earth in this final hour. God is filling the earth with His love, His greatness. His miracle power is raining down from On High. It’s whosoever will, let him come.

The Virgin Birth of the Son of God is a cornerstone for believers. Those who doubt the Virgin Birth of Jesus see only three. You must see the Fourth One if you are going to believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus.

When you see four, you have no problem believing Jesus is Lord and Master of us all. You know He is the Savior, Bread come down from Heaven; and you rejoice. You’ve passed from the third dimension to the fourth, the faith dimension, receiving spiritual eyesight.

When you see but three, you don’t recognize the narrow road that leads to Heaven. Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14). The wide road of the world, however, is clear as crystal to you. Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat (Matthew 7:13).

When you see four, you can picture Jesus saying to the angry waves of the sea: Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39).

When you see four you know Jesus stood before Lazarus’ sepulchre crying: Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go (John 11:43,44).

Some Don’t Want to See Four

The chief priests, seeing only three, consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus (John 12:10,11). They not only didn’t want the Fourth One, they wanted to get rid of Lazarus so no one else could see four, so that no one else could look upon such a miracle.

Jesus healed the sick, opened blinded eyes, unstopped deaf ears; and many saw four. Some then turned away, preferring to see only three; but for a moment they had seen four.

A mother and father saw four briefly. Their son born blind received his sight. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue (John 9:18-22).

The son saw four. He obeyed Jesus who anointed his eyes with clay and told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. Again and again the Jews asked to hear the son’s story. He finally said: I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples (John 9:27)? Boldly he told everyone: Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, He could do nothing (John 9:32,33). When you see four, you have the answers from God and are eager to give them. But those answers put the Pharisees into such a rage that they cast the son out of the synagogue.

When you see four, you don’t waver about the power of God. You tell the miracle over and over; you’ve had the experience: God healed me. I had heart trouble, and the Lord re-created my heart. Tell it again. I was really afflicted. Do you want the names of my doctors? They said I couldn’t live more than a few weeks. How long has that been? Twenty years ago. You love to tell it again. Why? Because you see four. People may look at you as though you are soft-minded, but you look back knowing you are not. You see four, and those that see only three don’t comprehend the greatness of God.

Never let those who see only three discourage you. They aren’t real believers; they can’t teach the Word of God, for they have nothing to do with His greatness. Blind, blind, blind, they miss these spiritual things of God.

A Face Like an Angels’s

Stephen saw four. Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people (Acts 6:8). Those who saw only three were outraged. They set up false witnesses against him. When he stood before the council, all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel (verse 15). He preached a marvelous, stirring sermon, the kind only those who see four can utter. He told the council how they looked in the eyes of God, and they could not bear it.

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him (Acts 7:54-58).

Stephen saw four. As they stoned him he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (verse 60). He saw Jesus. The devil can’t defeat you when you see Jesus; he is powerless. When you cry I see Jesus, Heaven is crying Jesus sees you! How wonderful to know that Jesus sees you!

It’s time for God’s people to be liberated in the Spirit of God, time for God’s people to be rid of every bondage that would hinder. All too often Christians have let relatives, neighbors, people on the job intimidate them. It’s time for God’s people to realize they have good vision, and God wants His Gospel spread wherever there are eyes that will see the Fourth Man. Win the lost at any cost must be our cry.

Blinded, Saul at Last Could See

For a long time Saul saw only three. He had held the coats of those who stoned Stephen. But later the Lord knocked him down in the dirt, blinded him. Trembling, Saul asked: Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 9:5). Saul’s physical eyesight was gone, but his spiritual eyesight had been opened at last.

The Lord told him to go to Damascus where he would learn what he must do. Then the Lord alerted Ananias. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 9:11,12,17).

When Ananias learned he was to meet Saul, he explained to the Lord what an evil man Saul was. It took a lot for Ananias to call Saul brother, Saul the one who had put Christians to death. By killing Christians, Saul had desperately tried to wipe out every footprint that the Fourth One had made. He couldn’t do it. No one could. If Saul had one killed, ten more showed up. But Saul was different now; he had seen the Fourth Man. And Ananias was obedient. Saul received his sight and the Holy Ghost as well.

Then Saul, seeing four, went into the wilderness to be taught by the Holy Spirit. At the end of that period of time, Saul, filled with holy zeal, set about helping bring others to Jesus, trying to make everyone a child of the King.

Why did Saul (known as Paul after his conversion) make all his dangerous missionary journeys? Saul saw four. When you see four, you have missionary zeal. When you see four, you love people of all nations; God made them all. When you see four, prejudice is gone. You love like that Fourth One loves, care like He cares, sacrifice like He sacrificed because He gives you His sacrificial Spirit. I see four. I see four, is your cry.

A Victory Farewell

The time came for Paul’s appointment with Nero’s chop block. His farewell to Timothy was one of pure victory: For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (II Timothy 4:6,7). Facing death, Paul still saw four. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing (verse 8). When you see four, you live holy. Paul lived holy. He lived in the truth, walked in the truth, embraced the truth, loved the truth; and the truth set him free.

Jesus was the Fourth Man in the fiery furnace; but for those who see Him, He is number One in their lives. He is eternal life, the answer to all problems, the healer of all diseases, the soul’s salvation, your door into Heaven; and He will be your companion here on Earth and forever when your heart cries: I see four! I see four! I see four!

Do You See Four?

Do you really see four? Do you have trouble believing for real Bible salvation, for a miracle you may need? Do you think holy living is impossible? Is any sin hidden in your heart? If so, you see only three. But you can be delivered from all your sins; through faith you can see Jesus right now and let Him wash away your sin.

If you see only three but want to see that Fourth One, say the sinners’ prayer with me now:

Oh, God, open my eyes; let me see four in the furnace. Let me see the Savior, the Redeemer. Let me see Jesus. Let me see Jesus, the One who died for me. I confess that He is the Son of God, and I’m so sorry I sinned against Him. He died for me; I will live for Him. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins, all of my sins. Come on in, Jesus; come on in!

If you meant that prayer you can now say, Hallelujah, He has come!

You who are sick and afflicted, look to the Fourth Man, your Savior and Healer. I see four in the furnace; I believe He is the all-powerful Healer, and I pray for you who need His healing touch:

Oh, God, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. Lay a healing hand on the sick and afflicted. Give the blind sight. Make that crippled one to walk. Heal that heart condition, heal that cancer victim. Heal, heal, in the name of Jesus. Heal!

The healing power is flowing. How do I know? Because I see four in the furnace. I see the Son of God. With Him all things are possible.

Let His power work night and day. Write and tell me about it. You who found Jesus, start reading your Bible. Some Bible fasting will help you. Pray much. Walk with God, and God will walk with you. See four always in the furnace; always see Jesus walking with humanity, and you will be victorious in every valley, victorious even in death. That Fourth One conquered death, hell and the grave for you. The gate of Glory is yours because you have Him. Now you can cry, I see four! I see four! And the Fourth One has become number One. His name is Jesus and He loves you.
