For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt (Jeremiah 8:21). Hurt—it’s a word that we’re all too familiar with but one that we hate. It’s one word that most people would like to blot out of every language on earth.

We were all born into a world of hurt and pain, and mothers endure much suffering to give birth to their children in the first place. When my mother gave birth to me, she almost died. I was the only one of her seven children who almost took her life. But the Lord told me later that the angel of the Lord was in the room when I was born and that I was marked in my mother’s womb to preach the Gospel of the Lord.

As I grew up, I saw hurt all around me; and today I still find people who are hurting wherever I go. Hurt is a terrible thing that can be felt in a deep, deep way. It can stir the very depths of a person’s soul, and no home is without its share of hurt. Even Heaven is touched with it because God hurts, Jesus hurts and the Holy Spirit hurts as they see the world caught in the devil’s grip of hate, pain, war, sin and torment.

I Fought Death

Those who have been very sick know what it means to hurt and to feel stifling, tormenting pain all hours of the day and night. Many suffer until they feel that they can’t take it another moment, and I know what that’s like. I almost died when I was just twenty-three, and I watched my body go down to nearly a skeleton. I thought for sure that I was going to die; and had it not been for God, you’d have never heard of Ernest Angley.

There were so many things wrong with me that doctors only knew part of it, and I was getting worse all the time. I had such horrible pain that it felt like a hot iron was pressing into my flesh; words can’t even begin to express my torment. I would pray, “Oh, God, if you’re not going to heal me, let the dawn come early just one time. Lord, the nights are so long; and it seems like everybody has forgotten me.”

But the Lord hadn’t forgotten me; and one night, He came and brought sunshine at midnight. He didn’t send an angel to minister to me; Jesus came Himself and stood before me. He had come to make me whole all over and to tell me about God’s will for my future. The Lord took away every pain and told me, “Later, you will go on a long fast; and when you come out of that fast, you’ll have my power for the healing of the people.” No doctor would have suggested that I go on a long fast considering all I had been through, but God is not a man. I knew I was going to live! When the Lord rises up like that, there’s no room for doubt.

Jesus Was Hurt

Whenever the Lord visits with me, all I ever say to Him is, “Yes, Lord, yes.” I never talk back to Him; I just listen intently. I’ve been privileged to see Jesus so many times, and His eyes are like pools of peace and love. The angels carry that same look in their eyes, and they have the same expressions of Jesus Christ. I’ve even had the privilege of seeing Jesus in His glorified state; it was an overwhelming experience that I will never forget. There’s nothing more beautiful than the Lamb of God in His glorious state, the same state that He was in when He dwelled beside His Father in Heaven. But He agreed to lay aside that glory and come to earth.

Salvation was born in Bethlehem, but Jesus came into a world of such hurt on that holy night. The divine One who brought salvation for us all suffered more hurt than anyone who has ever lived on earth. Audacious men beat Him almost to death. They mocked Him, spit upon Him and then crucified Him. Our Lord Jesus endured horrible agony to bring everything to earth that we will ever need; yet even today, many people reject His sacrifice. Instead, many take on the arrogance of the devil himself, become devil possessed and then deny the One who paid the price for them. What hurt Jesus must feel!

God Created Perfection

Adam and Eve brought hurt to all when they sinned, but that was definitely not God’s plan. Genesis opens with life. The Lord spoke the moon, the stars and the sun into existence. He commanded the green grass to grow and the fowls of the air to fly. He even wrote all of their songs and gave them the ability to sing them. The great I-Am enjoyed all that He had made.

Then God created man and woman to live in that perfect, beautiful world. He never intended for them or for any of those who would come later to ever have a pain or to know the meaning of the word “hurt.” They lived in perfection in God’s Garden of love where they walked with and talked with the Lord as one person fellowships with another. They had no worries or cares, and they wanted for nothing. They had it all, but the Lord had warned them about the tree of death. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:16,17).

Eve was fascinated by the death tree; she was drawn by its false beauty and enticed by the serpent. Adam, however, wasn’t drawn to it; but Eve eventually convinced him to taste its fruit. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:4-6).

Adam and Eve Failed

The moment Eve reached out for the forbidden fruit, she had reached out for death, pain and the curse of God. Her pain-free, Eden world was gone, and then she reached out to Adam with her hand of death. The loving hand that had caressed him and joined hands with God in the cool of the day was now a cursed hand. Adam reached out to her, and she served him the hurt and separation of death. Unto the woman he [God] said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return (Genesis 3:16-19). Life as they had known it was over.

The Devil Wants Us to Suffer

In the Garden, God’s curse was already upon the devil. He had felt pain from the time God had cast him out of Heaven, and he would never be forgiven. He suffered then, and he still suffers today; and he tries to make God’s people suffer, too. We carry the image of God, and the devil hates that image. He gets great joy out of destroying it, and he wants us to suffer; that’s why all sickness comes from the devil, either directly or indirectly. These things couldn’t come from God because the Bible declares, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17).

Sin makes people hurt, and it is to blame for all sorrow and sickness. Sin even brought murder. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him (Genesis 4:8). Adam and Eve faced death for the first time; what pain and hurt! They had never seen a dead body before, but suddenly one of their own sons was dead. Oh, how they must have hurt!

Adam and Eve weren’t created with tear ducts because God never intended for them to cry, but I assure you that they cried many tears when Abel died. They were never designed to have to go to the bathroom, and they were never to have been sick or in pain; but after they had sinned, they quickly learned what pain was. Adam and Eve were made out of the dust of the earth, but their bodies were made in perfection. God had wanted them to live forever without an ache or a pain and to never grow old, but sin ruined all of that. Pain and hurt make people grow old, and there’s so much hurt in the world today.

Job’s Great Sorrow

Job was living a great life without pain. He lived close to God, and everything was going well for him; but that all changed, and he found out what hurt was all about. The devil falsely accused Job before God saying, “Job serves you because you give him everything. If you take everything away from him, he’ll curse you to your face!”

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he [Job] hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand…And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee (Job 1:12-19).

Suddenly, it seemed like everything was against Job; but the devil’s accusation that Job would curse God never happened. Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly (Job 1:20-22).

The Devil Afflicted Job

The devil wasn’t finished with Job yet; and he went before God again saying, “I know the secret now—it’s his flesh. Take down the hedge that you have around him and let me afflict him.” And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown (Job 2:4-7). Just one boil can make you feel as if you’re about to die, but to be covered with them is unimaginable.

Job’s friends and even his own wife turned against him. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips (Job 2:9,10).

Instead, Job declared, I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God (Job 19:25,26). Later, he went on to say, He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold (Job 23:10). The Lord finally came forth with His power for Job, and He stayed the hand of the enemy; and the Bible promises that He’ll do that for us, too. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).

When the Lord raises His right hand, there’s nothing that the devil can do; he’s rendered completely helpless by that divine hand, and it’s been proven again and again down through these thousands of years. The devil is just a bluffer and a liar; Jesus said so. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).

The Pain of Death

Adam and Eve believed this liar; and when they fell, it brought pain to the whole human race. The devil was able to convince just two people to give over to him, and look at all the chaos it has caused! All the hurt, all the sicknesses and diseases, all the wars, all the hate, all the envy and strife, all the death and separation of loved ones has come from the fall of those two people.

If you’ve ever lost someone whom you loved better than your own life, you know what a horrible thing death is. When I lost my wife, Angel, I didn’t care if the sun, the moon or the stars ever shone again. The darkness would have been a relief because everything seemed dead to me. Angel and I had been so close, and no human being could have hurt any more than I did.

I have always been very fluent in speech; but when Angel went home, I was so hurt that my voice would skip when I tried to talk. I was tormented in my sleep, and I would sweat so much that I would have to change my pajamas five or six times a night. It was as if I had a broken record playing over and over in my head, Angel’s dead, Angel’s gone; Angel’s dead, Angel’s gone.

The Lord told me that He had marked Angel and me in our mothers’ wombs for each other. We never had an argument or a fight, and we shared the same goals of taking Jesus to the whole world. God had joined us together in His love, and we lived in that love all of our lives. Angel was a fasting, praying handmaiden of the Lord; and she loved the Lord with all of her heart. I’ve never met another personality like hers.

I’ll never love anyone that much again because the pain of losing her was too great. My very soul was tormented beyond words with so much hurt and distress. I didn’t know how I could ever live without her. I’d find myself reaching out for her at night only to realize that she would never be with me again.

On cold, winter nights, I’d go to her grave; and I’d sit there watching the snow and ice pile up crying, “Lord, my heart and soul are as cold as the ice on her grave. Please love me! I can’t live without love. I had so much love from her, Lord, and I’m dying without it.” The Lord would answer again and again with, “I am the Lord that walketh with thee.”

Divine Love Heals Hurt

I was in millions of pieces, and only God could put me back together again. He worked on me with tender, loving care; and He gave this vessel of clay a desire to live again. Before Angel’s death, if anybody had told me that Ernest Angley would want to die, I’d have said, “You’re talking about the wrong boy.” I had never wanted to die because ever since I was saved, I had wanted to live and preach the Gospel. Winning souls for the Lord was my goal in life, and it still is.

The Lord moved in to live with me day and night because I was in such agony. One day, I was in Angel’s office; and I was on the floor crying my heart out when it felt as if a human arm wrapped around me and hugged me close. I don’t know if it was Jesus or an angel of the Lord, but the Spirit of God flowed to me in a mighty way—the spirit of strength, love and tender grace. What a comfort that was. Of course, I still cried after that, but it wasn’t the same. That act of God’s love healed me from so much of my torment and hurt.

Children of God, when the Lord’s children hurt, He hurts for them more than any human parent will ever hurt for their children, saith the Lord. God feels our hurt because real love feels hurt, but divine love also heals us of hurt or it wouldn’t be real love. Think about all the love the Lord pours out to you, and always remember never to disobey Him. Disobedience is what brought all the hurt to mankind to begin with, and it still brings hurt today. People are so disobedient to the Lord, and then we all have to suffer for it; but thank God, one day it won’t be like that.

The Healing Balm

The answer for all hurt is the divine healing balm that Jesus brought. On Calvary, He became our sin-bearer, our sickness-bearer and our burden bearer. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:4,5). When you have Jesus, you don’t need much else. He’ll heal you of all your hurt until the day when we will finally receive our glorified bodies. No one can live in today’s world without pain; but thank God, there’s a place to go to called Heaven where there is no more pain. It’s the second Eden, and it’s the only kind of place that the Lord ever planned for His children to live in.

Because we all live outside Eden now, we’re born into hurt; and children learn about it right away. They learn very quickly that when they fall, they will hurt themselves; but if they have a mother like I did, she will pray and kiss their hurt away. My mom had the healing balm in our family, and she always took time to heal us up. She could kiss away so much pain; and when that didn’t work, she would seek the Lord. She depended on Him, and people knew that and would come to her for help with their problems. She never turned anyone away no matter what time it was or how busy she was. If somebody needed help, Mom was always ready to serve.

Serve through the Power of the Holy Ghost

Every true child of God has the healing balm, and we must carry it to people who are hurting all over the world today. We must use it to heal people in their minds, bodies and souls and to deliver the devil possessed. The more you serve the things of God, the more those things will multiply; the Bible declares it. The word of God grew and multiplied (Acts 12:24). So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:20).

The Word has all the healing balm needed for soul, mind and body; but you can’t use the Word without the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said, Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). The Holy Ghost is available to every child of God. Peter said, For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39).

The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of Heaven and the Spirit of grace. He brought the nine divine fruits of the Spirit, and He came to be your teacher and your guide. He will make you perfect before God. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). You will be able to work in perfection through the Holy Spirit, and He will use you daily to help build God’s Kingdom and to bring in the lost. He’ll direct you in the paths of righteousness and show you the souls who must be won. Your mark is on certain ones, and you can bring them in through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Cried for Lazarus

Jesus really loved Lazarus and his two sisters. He would stay with them whenever He went to Jerusalem; but when Lazarus suddenly fell sick, Jesus was away in Galilee. Lazarus’ sisters hoped that Jesus would come to them quickly because they knew who He was, and they knew that He carried life; but they didn’t know that He could raise a person from the dead. Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days before Jesus finally arrived. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept (John 11:32-35).

The Lord was so hurt over this, but He already knew well the feeling of human tears. At one time, He had wept over all Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not (Matthew 23:37)! How His heart bled for the people. I sat on the Mount of Olives one Sunday morning myself, and I could just hear Him in my mind crying over the beloved city.

God Hates Death

Jesus felt that same pain as He stood there before the sepulcher of His friend Lazarus. He had the healing balm, but He felt the pain of the sorrow that death had caused. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave (John 11:36-38).

The Lord hates death as much as we do. Death is ugly, and it never was the will of God for His children to die. Look at what it has done to the human race. It has separated us from loved ones; and many of us would give anything just to hear their voice, hold their hand or hug them one more time. Death is our enemy, and the Bible tells us that it’s the last enemy that will be destroyed in the end. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (I Corinthians 15:26).

But Jesus had the healing balm even for death when He was here on earth, and He showed that resurrection power to all who were weeping over Lazarus. At Jesus’ instructions they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth (John 11:41-44).

Jesus had come to conquer death, hell and the grave for all mankind. Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:54,55)? We live because He lives.

Be Thou Made Whole

Jesus brought life wherever He went. In the Gospel of Mark, Jairus’ daughter had died while Jairus was out seeking a miracle for her from Jesus. But Jesus told Jairus that she was only sleeping, and He followed Jairus to his home. And when he [Jesus] was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment (Mark 5:39-42).

Jesus approached a man who hadn’t walked in thirty-eight long years as he waited by the Pool of Bethesda. An angel would come down to that pool at a certain season and stir up the waters, and whoever would get into the water first would be completely healed. Jesus looked at the man and asked, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked (John 5:6-9). Jesus had the healing balm for all this man’s hurt, and He made him whole all over.

The Miracles Continued

One day, a leper came to see Jesus. Now at that time, lepers had to wear a bell around their necks that would ring when they walked; and they had to cry, “Leper, leper!” Most people would run for their lives, but Jesus didn’t run. The leper cried, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:2,3).

Jesus touched people whom no one else could help. When a helpless man with a withered hand came to Jesus, He had the answer. And he [Jesus] saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. And he saith unto them [the scribes and the Pharisees], Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other (Mark 3:3-5).

It was so wonderful when the Lord made me whole. I was able to eat again without vomiting, and I was free of my indescribable pain; it was all the work of the Lord’s healing balm. I owe Jesus everything, and I’m giving my whole life to Him so that I can carry His healing balm to all nations.

God’s Power Delivers

Jesus used the healing balm and delivered a devil-possessed man called Legion. This man had at least two or three thousand devils in him, and his mind was gone. People would try to chain him, but he’d pluck the chains asunder. He lived in the dark tombs of the dead and would cry out and cut himself until the One with healing balm came.

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea (Mark 5:6-13). The Lord allowed the devils to enter the swine to prove to the people that those devils had really gone out of the man, and the people of the city came out to see what had happened.

And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts (Mark 5:15-17). The people saw that the healing balm had set Legion completely free, but all they wanted was for Jesus to leave their coasts. They loved pigs more than they loved souls.

Sin Brings Only Hurt

Still today, many people want Jesus out of their lives. They serve false gods and follow false religions, but the Lord said it would be that way in the last days. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:3,4).

The spirit of Antichrist has covered the whole world, and even America is not the same. Parents don’t want their children to sing Christmas carols during the holidays, and politicians have taken the Bible out of the schools in America. Since then, the devil has completely taken over; and our boys and girls are not safe. Drugs and alcohol are everywhere, and many of our young people are committing suicide because they’re so tormented…but they will be tormented for all eternity if they go to hell. People may blame God for many things today; but in hell, nobody will blame the Lord for anything.

Sin hurts and destroys, and it makes the flesh and the heart bleed. Sin robs and brings only death. The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4); but many people don’t believe that. Preachers and priests alike teach that everyone sins a little, but that doctrine disputes the Word of God. The Bible says, Let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:4).

When God says something, I believe it, and that settles it for me; and that’s the way it must be for all who are walking with the Lord. You can’t carry the healing balm to others with even one willful sin in your life. That’s the only thing that can heal up sinners, and Jesus brought it for everyone. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). Then, we must carry the Gospel of deliverance to others. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:7,8). The Lord will use His disciples who have anointed, pure hearts. He will use their hands as His own nail-riven hands to keep serving until Rapture day.

There Is Life for Your Soul

The greatest hands that have ever served on earth are the only ones that will be scarred in Heaven. God’s love will never erase those scars. Jesus gave those divine hands for your salvation and mine, and they’ll always carry the scars that show the price He paid. That’s why those hands are the only ones that can bring the healing balm to us. No amount of money can buy such divine balm. It brought salvation to our souls and set us free from all sin. It had to re-create us because we were born in sin and iniquities. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5). We were not born in the image of God, but we have to be born into that image to be able to get into Heaven.

The awful sting of sin reaches to the throne of God. Think again about the opening scripture that tells us God hurts for the daughter of His people. The very Word of God tells us that He hurts; and when people sin, the hurt reaches all the way to God on His throne. But when the end of this civilization comes, God will take His big, love handkerchief of healing balm and dry all our tears. Then He’ll wipe away all the tears from His eyes, from His Son’s eyes and from the Holy Spirit’s eyes; and no one will cry anymore. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4).

Jesus Heals

Our hospitals have to keep expanding to make room for all the sick and afflicted people in the world, and many doctors and researchers give their whole lives trying to find the cures for all the many diseases. God has put healing in nature, and He has given man a limited amount of wisdom and knowledge to be able to use the healing He has made available; but without God, there is no healing. The devil tries to make people think he can heal, but he can’t; he’s the arch-deceiver. He serves hurt and then makes people think that God is the one who makes them sick.

Many preachers today teach that sickness comes from God; but if that were true, then Jesus worked against God when He was here on earth. The Bible says, For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). During Jesus’ ministry, every time you see Him in the Bible, He was either healing somebody, coming back from healing somebody or on His way to heal somebody. He always carried the healing balm. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3).

A woman was bent over with what is now known as arthritis. Jesus didn’t call it a love token from the Lord; He called it devil bondage. Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day (Luke 13:16)? It isn’t sickness that draws you nigh to God; it’s His loving Holy Spirit and the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. Nothing else can draw you to Calvary where your soul can receive the healing balm.

God Suffers

Consider the pain and hurt the Father felt when Jesus came to earth and walked among men, but most people rejected and despised Him when He had nothing but healing balm to offer. Even in death, He served that balm to the thief on the cross. Think about how much God must have hurt when He saw His Son beaten almost to death. The soldiers nearly killed Jesus before He got to the Cross, and they probably would have if it hadn’t been for the prophecy that said Jesus would die on the Cross for our sins.

Study Jesus on His way to the Garden of Gethsemane. Sin put Him in that Garden, and it’s a Garden of hurt like no human being has ever experienced on earth. He hurt so much that His sweat became as drops of blood. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:44). Jesus never knew sin or sickness until He took yours and mine, but He did it because He loved us so much.

Jesus brought that same divine love and faith for us to use; and without them, you won’t be able to rescue people from damnation. Human love and faith can’t lead people to Calvary; only divinity can. Jesus also brought determination and unbelievable strength to enable us to serve and carry heavy loads. That’s why He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). In Him, you’ll find the solution to all your problems as well as all the wisdom, joy and glory of Heaven and all the life you’ll ever need.

Jesus’ suffering continued as He was mocked and crowned with thorns. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head (Matthew 27:27-30).

Finally, they led Jesus to be crucified; but He had been beaten so badly that He fell beneath the load of the Cross, and someone else had to carry it for Him. The crown of thorns was pressed into His flesh, and then the spikes were driven into His hands and His feet. What suffering and pain He endured! Nearly all of those who tortured and killed Jesus are no doubt in hell today and suffering pain that they never thought existed.

The devil thought he had won when the Son of God died, but Jesus was the One who had won. His victory brought redemption, healings, miracles and peace for all mankind. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). This was peace that the world had never known and couldn’t understand. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Don’t Turn Your Back on God

If you don’t accept the fact that Jesus won for you and me on the Cross, then hell will be your destiny…and hell is a very real place. The Bible says that the rich man died, and he lifted up his eyes in hell. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame (Luke 16:19-24).

At one time, salvation sat at the rich man’s gate; but he paid it no mind and later woke up a pauper in hell. Lazarus died and went to Heaven, and the rich man found himself begging for Lazarus to dip his finger in water and cool his tongue.

Oh, Sinner, Backslider, you’re crucifying Jesus afresh with every sin you commit. You’re driving the nails deeper into His hands and feet. You’re using the hammer of sin, hate and disobedience on the One who brought the healing balm; so there’s no healing balm available for you unless you repent. You don’t have long because eternity is just ahead, and your heart could stop beating at any moment.

But Jesus stands at the gate of Heaven hurting for you; and He’s waiting, hoping and searching for you to come home. He’s sending people after you because He wants to bring every lost lamb in before it’s too late. All Heaven is waiting to rejoice over every lost soul who comes into the Kingdom, but it’s so sad that millions are already in hell and suffering day and night; and soon they’ll be in the lake of fire as the eternal ages roll.

No Hurt in Heaven

The Lord showed me in a very vivid vision what the end of civilization would be like for the wicked. The Lord will seal them off from Him forever with a thick, heavy metal door. In the vision, it seemed I could hear the scraping of that door as God closed it on those in the lake of fire—the devil and his angels and all those who had died with even just one sin in their hearts.

The Lord definitely told me that He will close that door Himself and never open it again. He will never hear their cries or prayers or even remember them again; they will be wiped out of His memory forever. That means that we won’t remember those we love who don’t make it to Heaven either. God in His great mercy won’t allow us to remember them because their memory would cause us to hurt. We’ll never see our fallen loved ones in Heaven, and we’ll never even think to look for them.

There will be no hurt in Heaven; everybody will be happy there. Hurt will at last be destroyed forever through the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. That blood has already destroyed the pain of sin in the souls of born-again children of God, and it has wiped out any devils that were in there. The devil no longer has power over us because we have the mind of Christ—the Bible declares it. But we have the mind of Christ (I Corinthians 2:16). We’re righteous and holy, and we can go boldly before God’s throne at any time. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Disobedience Brings Unhappiness

Man and woman had no reason to do anything but rejoice in the Garden of Eden, but later all you see is disobedience. People constantly sinned against God and turned to idol worship, so the Lord scattered them all over the earth. Some were carried away by wicked men and made slaves, not necessarily because they all had sinned but as a result of the sins of their parents. By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land (Psalm 137:1-4)?

The people no longer had a song in their hearts because they were robbed of all of their happiness, and they had only pain. But the Lord could feel their pain, and He can feel our pain, too. That’s why He sent Jesus—because He knew something had to be done. Jesus offers the divine healing balm for everything.

Oh, weary Pilgrim, the Lord’s ears are open to your cries; and the healing balm is flowing from Calvary’s mountain to you. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34:15). The soothing voice of the Holy Spirit speaks to tell us of the love of Jesus and the healing balm. He’ll heal our hurts and our bodies; He’ll make us well inside and out. No case is too hard for the healing balm of Jesus Christ.

Healing for Soul, Mind and Body

Hurt is all around us, and people everywhere are suffering with deadly diseases that are eating the very life out of them. Families are trying desperately to save the lives of loved ones as they watch their bodies waste away. We have to hurry with the Gospel and get the healing balm to them.

Billions of dollars continue to be spent on medical research, but no one has yet found the cure for cancer or AIDS. The Lord has given me the healing balm, and He has taught me how to use it.

Thousands have been healed of cancer, AIDS and all kinds of diseases and deformities through this Jesus ministry. We’re having the AIDS miracles medically documented; and I’m carrying the proof from nation to nation to show that AIDS can be cured through the divine healing balm, the blood of Jesus. It delivers people from the darknesses of the devil, and it brings them the light of Heaven from the throne of God’s holy grace and love.

My heart bleeds when I see people who have been taught by preachers who don’t have the truth. Those preachers and their people are in total darkness. They believe that witchcraft, voodoo and other darknesses of the devil will mix with the Gospel; but that can never be. You’re either living in the light of the Gospel or you’re living in the devil’s night. No one can have the healing balm until the light of Heaven shines on their soul, and that light won’t shine unless people make the journey to Calvary. They must hate their sins just as much as God hates the fact that they ever committed them. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death (II Corinthians 7:10).

Take Jesus to Be Yours

You must call on the name of the Lord because only through Him can you be saved. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There’s nothing like Jesus’ great love. It shares joy, and it shares pain; and the Lord is waiting to share it with you.

Say this prayer with me: Oh, God, I’m so sorry that I sinned against you. I’m wretched, and my soul is full of sin. I have trampled your precious blood underfoot, and I didn’t want your healing balm; but I do now. Oh, Lord, have mercy upon my soul; it’s in great pain. I’m dying in sin, and I know you’re my only hope; no human hands can save me. You said that if I would repent and be as sorry for my sins as you are that I committed them, you would forgive me. I’m in such deep sorrow, so forgive me now, Lord. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come. He is yours, and now you can have the healing balm. Stay on the straight and narrow road, the highway of holiness; and no unclean thing will be able to cross your path. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it (Isaiah 35:8). Prayer, fasting and living in the Word will take you all the way to Heaven, and one day I’ll meet you there as long as you never go back into sin.

Jesus Can Heal Anything

Now, Jesus is at your door, and He’s ready to serve you the healing balm. You can be healed of any disease or affliction, and thousands are already witnesses to what this balm can do. I minister to people who are at death’s door, and God has healed people who didn’t have but just a matter of minutes to live. Some were ready to take their last breath, but healing came at last; and medical people don’t know what to make of such cases.

Doctors always want to talk with me because they want to know my secret. Many have re-examined their patients, and they see the miracles. Divine miracles prove that there is a God and that Jesus did come with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). Thank God that Jesus has wings of love to take away all the hurt in our souls, minds and bodies.

When you love somebody and you feel their hurt, you’ll cry with them and stay up with them all hours of the night and day. It’s horrible to watch a loved one who is suffering and on the verge of death, and you can’t do anything to help them. But always remember that Jesus can heal them, and He can heal you, too. Serve the Lord to others and accept Him yourself; and you can be healed of HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble, paralysis or leprosy. God heals everything, including babies who have been born deformed or with only part of a brain!

Receive a Miracle

You who are sick and afflicted, do you feel the need of living? I wanted to live because I felt the need of being a real worker for God. I knew I had the true Gospel, and I’m so thankful that I’m in good health today and able to carry it to the whole world. Jesus loves you and cares for you, too, so be thou made well. Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

Lord, here they are. I curse the AIDS. Those who want to believe can believe because medical science is proving that God is doing it. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke the AIDS in the people’s bodies. Lord, heal the people of cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble, paralysis, leprosy and any deformities. You’ve healed children who were never supposed to be normal and given many of them a whole brain. Some were never supposed to have walked, but they’re walking today all because of you, Jesus; you supplied what they needed. You’re our sin-bearer and our sickness-bearer; the healings and miracles are yours. Heal! in the blood-name of Jesus. Heal!

To God Be the Glory

The glory of the Lord is now flowing, and all the glory goes to Him. It’s the healing balm from Heaven through Jesus Christ, and that’s what will get you well. But remember that you always have to live for God or you’ll lose your miracle. Jesus healed people and said, Go, and sin no more (John 8:11). The Bible also says, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16).

I love you, and the Lord loves you even more; and He has given me the healing balm to bring to you. People come from all over the world to my services to be prayed for—because they know they’ll find miracles. God’s power takes me over; and I can feel it move into my body, down my arms and out through my hands as it flows to the people. Many times, the people I’m praying for can’t even stand on their feet. They fall under the power of God and come up healed, all in the name of Jesus.

Jesus gets all the honor and glory for the gifts in my life; I can’t operate them myself. The Holy Spirit operates them through me because of my prayers and fastings, many fasts going as long as forty days at a time. I have no life of my own; I’ve given it all to God so I can carry His healing balm to people who are suffering in sin and sickness and those who are nigh unto death.

Jesus told us that He brought life. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). So I offer you abundant life through Jesus Christ. The Bible also says, Let the redeemed of the LORD say so (Psalm 107:2). We must always glorify the name of the Most High. He’s the One who came to destroy the word “hurt” and to erase it from every language on earth today. Rejoice in Him, and God bless you.
