The God of miracles lives! Every member of the bridal company will be fully persuaded each moment they have left that God is God and He has all power. His grace abounds toward the true children of God. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). In that grace is all the strength you need. God will never add one more thing to His grace: it is complete. Jesus brought grace, brought it all for you, and left you lacking nothing.

How do you keep the healing you get from Heaven? What could cause you to lose it? Knowing how to keep your healing is as essential as knowing how to receive it. What you receive from God through faith you can lose through doubt. Everything God gives you through your obedience you can lose through disobedience.

Jesus made very plain the fact that sin can cause you to lose your healing. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:2–14). After Jesus healed the man who had been afflicted for thirty–eight years, He let him know that if he sinned, if he backslid, a worse thing would come on him.

The Lord heals sinners, but He expects them to turn from their sins. In our services on foreign soil, God’s healing of the sinners brings multitudes to the Lord. Thousands of people have come to God in one service because they witnessed the miracles of God. They saw the blind getting their sight, the deaf their hearing. They saw people healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases and the crippled receiving power to walk. God sweeps people into His arms through His miracle healing power.

How many people would have come to Jesus had He never performed signs, wonders, miracles and healings? Why did they follow Him in the first place? They followed Him because they saw the manifestations, the miracles and healings.

For the first thirty–three years, members of the Early Church talked like Jesus, believed like Him, lived like Him and had the same results. While He was still with His disciples, the Lord told them: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).

Miracles and healings were meant to remain in the Church, but the Church failed. Had they kept the power of God working throughout the ages, things would be different today for both Heaven and Earth.

Close Your Case

When you come to the Lord for healing, you must close your case. The woman with an issue of blood set her time for her miracle and closed her case. And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour (Matthew 9:20–22). She was determined that when she touched Jesus, she would be healed.

The woman with an issue of blood used touching Jesus as her point of contact. There are different points of contact. It may be when you use the blest cloth, when a believer lays hands on you, when you claim a certain healing scripture. Decide that at the point of contact, at that special time, you will release all your faith; and the Lord will get you well. Decide you are going to get your miracle, and then close your case.

Don’t Waver

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18). This means people absolutely will get well. How will they get well? Through the faith of God. But the Bible also tells us about wavering faith. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways (James 1:6–8). If your faith just wavers, not that you lose it altogether, but if it wavers, think not that you will receive from God.

Abraham waxed strong by looking at the promises of God. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure (Hebrews 11:17–19). Abraham against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead (Romans 4:18–24). Abraham didn’t let his faith waver at all, much less lose it.

You can’t afford to let your faith waver, you cannot let it stagger the least little bit. God doesn’t give wavering faith or staggering faith. You are the one who wavers or staggers when you fail to use the faith of God.

Do you find yourself doubting God? The Lord can help you to believe. His faith will kill out all doubt. Faith conquers fear. If you have fear in your heart, open your door to faith: Faith will come in and fear leave. It’s just that simple.

The Lord has made simple His plan of help to prepare you for Heaven. To become a new creature in Christ Jesus is simple. Healing is no more complicated for the body than salvation is for the soul. You are told you have a soul, but you have never seen it—yet you believe you have one. You believe the Lord will heal your soul, make it pure and holy through the blood of the Lamb—something you have never seen! Believing for salvation is fantastic faith. The same faith that heals the soul also heals the body. It’s not another faith; it’s the same faith. God’s faith is for soul, mind and body. Salvation and physical healing are all through Christ; it all happened at the same place and it all belongs to you. It’s healing from Heaven.

We believe in good doctors, good hospitals. We believe in what good doctors are doing, and good doctors believe in what we are doing; they see the results again and again of God’s healing hand, and are totally amazed. Man can’t heal; only God can heal. God made nature and all that comes from it; He put healing in nature and gave man the knowledge to extract it and apply it to the body. Just as God provides healing from nature, He provides divine healing, divine miracles.

Healing Comes in Different Ways

How do you keep these things you get from God? Healing comes in different ways. And it came to pass, as he [Jesus] went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God (Luke 17:11–15). As they went they were cleansed. The ten lepers who came to Jesus for healing were not delivered instantly, but received their miracles as they went away.

Some people don’t bother to return and praise God for their miracle. They err by not giving Him the praise. Of the ten lepers who were healed, only one returned to give God the glory. Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole (Luke 17:17–19). One out of ten returned, not a very good percentage. But I believe the one who returned was not only healed of the leprosy, but that he also received miracles of re–creation for his body. The other nine were healed of their disease, but I don’t think they received miracles of re–creation for the parts of their bodies that had been destroyed.

The mother–in–law of Peter received an instant healing. And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them (Matthew 8:14,15). As soon as Jesus touched her hand, Peter’s mother–in–law was healed; she got up and tended to the needs of those in her house.

Honor the Lord for whatever He does for you. Give Him the praise and the glory. If you are unsaved, He expects you to serve Him after He heals you.

Again and again I pray for people who get their miracle after they leave the service. One woman, totally blind, received prayer in the service but didn’t see at all until she and the people she was with started back home. As they were going across a bridge, she screamed: I can see the bridge! I can see the bridge!

Another woman, who had been blind and had received prayer at church, did not know she had her sight until she was home. A child had dropped a grape on the floor; the woman saw it and reached down to pick it up. That’s when her family knew she had her sight. Then she wanted to see everything, all the pictures on the wall. Her family thought they would never get her to bed that night.

The Spoken Word Heals

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house (John 4:46–53).

When did the son start to get well? At the seventh hour. The very moment Jesus spoke to the nobleman, the son was healed.

Sometimes we plan how the miracle should take place, and that isn’t the way the Lord wants to move. When Jesus told the nobleman that his son lived, the nobleman accepted it at once. He didn’t ask Jesus to come to his house anyway; he didn’t beg him to perform some great sign. He accepted the Word as soon as he heard it, and went back home. The Word is powerful when spoken through the Holy Spirit. When you hear the pure Word of God, always accept it. The Word is paramount.

I grew up in a home where faith in God’s greatness was instilled into my heart. The Lord made sure that I saw His greatness in operation as I was growing up. I saw Him at work, saw fantastic miracles take place. God was real in our home. Miracles are something you can never get away from.

As a child I probably would have been crippled or even would have lost a leg had it not been for the grace of God and my mother’s prayers. A bone disease working in one of my legs almost drove me out of my mind. It felt like a wild animal was gnawing on the bone. No one will ever know the torment I went through with that disease. I would be in a terrible state, and my mother would stay up hour after hour praying for me. She would keep saying, “Honey, God’s going to heal you.” She held on to the Lord. It took some time, but she didn’t give up. God healed me.

Talk Faith

Don’t talk sickness. Talk health, talk getting well. Talk faith in God’s healing power. Talking sickness will hinder you from using your faith. Even though you don’t feel you have your miracle, remember, that the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Talk through faith, not feelings. Talk about what God has already done; think upon His works. Remember how precious your salvation is. If you have the baptism of the Holy Ghost, think of the time you received it.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). To think on these six things effectively, you must use faith. Check your speech to see if it falls into these six categories. If you are not in the realm of these six things, you are out of the realm of the miraculous, out of the realm of talking healing and faith.

Analyzing what you think upon helps you know where you are in the Lord. If you forget to talk with faith, you talk weakness, sickness. You carry on weak conversations when you talk doubt. Although you may be strong in your soul, your mouth can talk weakness to your own ears. You hear what you say; it registers in your mind; you think it. But when you have salvation in your soul, you have strength, greatness, the blood of the Lamb, the peace and joy of Heaven. Living water flows in the souls of the true children of God. Become conscious of the fact that living water is flowing in your soul. That living water means life for the body as well as for the soul. Be careful what you say to others.

Faith Draws Jesus to You

Take a lesson from the man born blind whom we read about in the ninth chapter of John. He had to stand all alone; even his parents were afraid to stand for him. When he came to Jesus, Jesus did an odd thing: He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6,7). Jesus spent time with the blind man, He knew the faith of Jehovah God was in his heart. How do we know the man had that great faith? Because even though he had never met Jesus before, he did what Jesus asked him to do; he washed in the pool and received his sight. That faith drew Jesus to him.

The Lord is drawn to divine faith wherever it is found. You may be praying, Lord, come to me! but if you let His faith in your soul operate, the Lord will come to you. Faith–love, faith–power draws the Lord to you.

Jesus didn’t preach to the blind man, didn’t spend much time with him. He simply made some “mud eyes” for him and told him to wash. It showed that Jesus was the creator; He was with God when God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Genesis 1:26). God made the first eyes out of dust.

The man Jesus healed of blindness didn’t hesitate, didn’t stop to discuss his situation with anyone. It doesn’t pay to carry on a conversation with doubters, especially when you are in the process of receiving a miracle from the Lord. Just say, I got it! and go. Dump faith on them and leave them thinking about it.

After he was healed, the man boldly told about his miracle, not caring whether or not he was thrown out of the synagogue. Doubters questioned him several times: Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples (John 9:26,27)? He didn’t back away from the unbelievers, and his answer infuriated them. They reviled him; their arrogance wouldn’t let them believe that this humble man had anything of value to teach them, and they cast him out of the synagogue.

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him (John 9:35–38). When you stand for the Lord He will stand for you, take you along with Him in His love and greatness.

Keep Your Mind Open to God

The man healed of blindness had a mind open to receive that which was good. There isn’t anything like a mind open to the things of God, to the presence of God! Our souls are more open to Him than our minds are. The soul is a reservoir that can hold all of Heaven; there is no limit to the things of God the soul can contain. But the mind is not like the soul; it is like a cup, limited in what it can hold. The Psalmist didn’t say that his soul runneth over; he said my cup runneth over (Psalm 23:5).

If you are born again and if you yield to the Holy Ghost, what is in your soul is pumped into the mind daily. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). The Holy Spirit flows the love of God into the mind yielded to Him. You don’t have to look to others for encouragement; if you have the right things in your soul, you have the Holy Spirit. Yield to Him and He will flow that encouragement, that greatness of the Lord to your mind and lift you up.

Pay Your Vows

Pay your vows. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High (Psalm 50:14). If you make vows unto the Lord, if you tell Him what you are going to do when He answers your prayers, you had better pay those vows you promised.

I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD (Jonah 2:9). Not until Jonah was shut up in the belly of a whale did he decide to pay his vows. It’s best to pay vows willingly when the vow is due and not wait until tribulation strikes.

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay (Ecclesiastes 5:4,5). When you go with God, you must pay your vows; do what you tell God you will do. If you think you may not do something, don’t tell the Lord you will. Be diligent to carry through the vows you make to the Lord.

Vows can be as strong as God Himself if you yield to the One who taught you how to make those vows. If you make vows in His love you will find His strength to keep them. If you make the vows in His faith, His faith will always be with you—if you want it—to help you keep the vows. Don’t make resolutions; make vows. Resolutions are like those who make them each New Year’s Day and break them not long afterward: Weak. Resolutions too often are merely a form people go through. Some people have made and broken the same resolution every year for the last forty years. The Lord didn’t tell us to make resolutions, but to make vows unto Him.

In righteous vows to the Lord you have all the strength, all the power, all Heaven to back you up if you want. Draw on the strength of God to keep your vow to Him. It is wonderful to give unto the Lord that which you have promised Him!

Offer unto God thanksgiving as you pay your vows, and call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me (Psalm 50:15). If you keep your vows you can call on the Lord in the day of trouble. If you keep your vows when the sun is shining—the vows of attending church, of taking the Gospel to the world, the vows to pray, fast and live in His Word and seek Him—if you keep these kind of vows, He will be with you when troubles come.

Use the Power in the Word

Use the written Word to keep your healing. The written Word tells you that you can resist the devil: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Resist him with the Word of God. Great power is in the Word, and that power is there for you to use. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

And the word of God increased (Acts 6:7). How did the Word increase? It increased by the work it did through the faith of those who believed it would work just as it said. Word power means Word ability. Power isn’t something that will only make your body shake and quake; power is using God’s ability given to you to do His will. Faith in the Word is the ability, the power to put into action what it says.

Through faith in the Word of God, you have the power, the ability to defeat the devil, to overcome him, to resist the devil and make him run from you. Faith in the Word is all it takes to trample devils underfoot. Never forget that faith in the Word of God is the ability to put the Word into action. Faith in the Word directs you to the miracle you need. Faith in His Word heals people. He sent his word, and healed them (Psalm 107:20).

Some people come to the services uninterested in the Word of God. You must be interested in His Word if you expect to get a miracle and keep it. You must be interested in what the God who gives the miracle is saying.

All God’s miracles are divine. Man has nothing to do with performing miracles; God is the one who performs them; man is the one to use faith that He will perform them. I am just a human instrument whom God has gifted with His gifts, and the Holy Spirit operates the gifts through me; I have nothing to do with operating them. The Holy Spirit operates His gifts through me to work His will for the people. God gets all the praise, all the honor for them.

Mightily the Word Prevails

But the word of God grew and multiplied (Acts 12:24). The Word grew through the miracles, through the ability, the power of them. Faith gave the Word freedom to prove its ability, its power. The Word of God given with all faith comes forth with ability, with power. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:20). When the Word of God prevails, it overcomes all evil, all weaknesses and everything else wrong, and brings about that which is right into its rightful place.

We rejoice in the life of Christ, in the scripture that tells us the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Jesus, the incarnate Word, had a fantastic effect on people.

The Word has great power, great ability, but it must be used with faith for that power to go into action for the people. You don’t show the ability of the Word if you don’t use the Word in faith. We as believing children of God use the Word, and people see the ability of the Word, what it will do. They see that the Word has power, the ability to save, the ability to heal, to deliver and give all strength; it has the ability to furnish all grace, give all love and destroy all hate, all ungodliness, all unrighteousness. Power, remember, is ability; the ability of the Word is incredible.

They spake the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31). The apostles spoke the Word with the boldness of Heaven, and the Word of God was able to produce. The power from the Word went forth from God’s people because they spoke it in the right way. You can speak the Word and nothing will happen if it is not spoken with the faith and the grace of God. But when you speak the Word with the faith and grace of God, anything wonderful is bound to happen. You must speak the Word in the faith in which it was given.

The Word Written in Hearts

Ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (II Corinthians 3:3). The Word is written with the Spirit of God in our hearts, and that is the reason it has such power, such ability, such greatness to work through a true child of God. It will work through you, Child of God, as you yield to the Holy Spirit to let it work.

Jesus used the Word of God to overcome the devil. Three times He told the devil It is written, and the devil left Him for a season. Use the Word on the devil and he will leave you for a season, but know that he will be back. Be ready for him with more ammunition from the Word of God.

All Things Are Possible

Let the Word show forth its ability, its power. No Word of God is void of power, of ability. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform (Romans 4:21). God’s Word has the ability to do for you what needs to be done. Don’t use what man thinks; use the Word. Take thus saith the Lord, knowing that the Word of the Lord will do the work. It has the greatness of God in it to fulfill all that God promises in His Word. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Only believe. I say again; don’t let your faith waver.

Faith in the Word anchors the Word in your mind so it will work. The Word points the way into all the greatness of God that you need, makes plain paths for your feet, shows you that it isn’t God’s will for you to be sick and afflicted, but that it is His will for you to be healed.

It is God’s will to provide you with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, to make real to you the wonderful Jesus who never changes: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). See Jesus as the same healer today as He was when He walked among men.

The gift of miracles is working in an unbelievable way in this hour; God is pouring out His power! Don’t resist the power of God; let the Word cut out all doubt. You can be healed by believing the Word’s promises. You can have and keep a miracle by believing the wonderful promises of the Lord. He will do what He has said. The healing He has brought to so many others, He will bring to you if you only believe.

In the Early Church, the Word was preached and the Lord confirmed it with many wonders and signs (Acts 2:43). The apostles proved that the Word had all the ability, all the power they said it had. They were told, remember, by the living Word, Jesus, that believers would lay hands on the sick and the sick would recover. The living Word is your Jesus, too. The Lord wants to get you well and keep you well. Why should you doubt?

The Word must become real to you, and it won’t become real to you through your feelings, but through Heaven’s faith, love and grace. The Word is made real by the Lord confirming the Word.

Faith, the ability to put God’s promises into action and keep them working for you, is for you to use. God gives the faith for your miracle and the faith to hold on to that miracle. Set your eyes on the Lord, looking neither to the right nor to the left as you claim and hold to the abundance promised you in the Holy Word of the living God. In perfect trust believe that the promises of God are for you today. You can be healed, and you can keep your healing from Heaven. With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
