How Far Is It to Heaven?
by Ernest Angley
December 2014
Many people want to know how far it is to the moon and to other planets, but they never think about how far it is to Heaven. They may say there is no way to figure that out; but there is when you have the map, the Bible.
At one time, there were two Heavens—one up above and one down here on Earth, which was the Garden of Eden. They were so close together that in the cool of the day, the Lord just stepped from His Heaven above into the Garden of Eden to walk and talk with the man and woman He had created. He made them in true holiness and righteousness, so they were as pure as God Himself.
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:8,9). Both the tree of life and the tree of evil were in that garden, and God did that on purpose. He did not want man and woman to worship Him just because there was no one else to worship; He wanted them to truly love the God who had made them, and He wanted to be their supply house all the time. He had never planned for them to get sick or even to feel a pain, and they were to have stayed young forever. They had no tear ducts because they never were to cry; and they had no septic tank on the inside, so they never needed a restroom. Adam and Eve had it all, but they sold it for a handful of ashes when they sinned.
Man Put Out of Eden
Sin separated man and woman from their God, and the separation was so great that God never came down again in love to walk and talk with Adam and Eve. They would never again walk with God in the peace, the joy and the power of the Holy Ghost. Instead, God put them out of the Garden of Eden, a heaven on Earth; and He placed cherubims with flaming swords at the entrance so they could not get back into Eden. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Genesis 3:22-24).
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost had worked together to make man in their image. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Genesis 1:26). But when man sinned against Heaven above, Earth’s heaven was surrounded by such thick clouds of darkness that Adam and Eve could no longer see anything but sorrows, sicknesses and tribulations. Death was everywhere outside of Eden, and the devil took over to make this world like hell on Earth. Heaven above was no longer connected with Earth’s heaven, and God was trillions of miles away.
Man Was Wicked
As time went on, civilization got so bad that God decided to destroy everything. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them (Genesis 6:5-7).
God was going to destroy everyone and everything with a great flood, but He found a man and his family who were living for Him. Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:8). So God made a plan to save Noah and his family. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood…And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee (Genesis 6:13,14,17,18).
We don’t have to build an ark today because Jesus is our ark, but we have to fill up His Kingdom with souls; and then He is coming back to take His children home. That is why we are doing our best to reach everybody we can throughout the whole Earth with the message of Jesus Christ.
After the Flood, Noah and his family went forth to replenish the Earth; but man could not stay out of sin. Then the people decided to try to get back to God by building a tower to Heaven. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven (Genesis 11:4). The devil had made man so simple-minded that he thought he could actually do such a thing and save himself, and that stupidity can still be found in billions today who think they can get to Heaven their own way.
Building that tower just caused trouble and made God angry, so He came down and confounded the language of the people and made them different colors. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city (Genesis 11:6-8).
Some people have thought that God made certain races better than others, but the Lord visited me one day and let me know that was not so. God loves all colors of people, but He had to make the people to speak different languages and be different colors to separate them so they could never again work together against Him.
Jesus Was the Only Answer
God in His great love tried many things down through these thousands of years to try to save man, but none of them opened the Eden gate for man and woman to go back in. During that long period of time, God had a few true prophets who gave people rays of hope from Heaven and told them of God’s plan to bring Heaven back to Earth; but most did not believe the prophets and instead accepted the lies of the devil.
Moses foretold the coming of the Messiah, but the Israelites would not yield to God’s truth. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you (Acts 3:22).
God tried giving people the Law, but it was a total failure. He tried using grace and righteousness through a man called Abraham, but that didn’t work either. During a great famine, Joseph saved his people from death; but he could not bring back Heaven for all people, and what he had done for his people did not last for long.
Would God ever be able to connect Heaven and Earth again? Could there be another heaven on Earth? When people died, would they live again? No one could find the answer to those questions because people had turned their backs on God.
Four thousand years passed before God made another gate into Eden, and that gate had to be in the form of an Old Rugged Cross because nobody could save man but Jesus. The Son of God had to suffer much to bring the human race and Heaven together again. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
God had tried everything He could before He gave Jesus. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:3,4).
God had a plan, and Jesus came to Earth as part of that plan. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
Jesus told people about Heaven and hell and that He had come to make sons and daughters for His Father. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). He told people what grace, divine love and divine faith would do and that one love step would take a person from Earth to Heaven through His divine blood.
Jesus brought Heaven down to Earth so that all people could reach it who wanted to, and there are no excuses for not finding it. The Bible tells us that there was a time when God winked at ignorance but not anymore. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30).
Jesus Made Thirteen Claims
When Jesus was on Earth, He made thirteen claims about Himself; and He proved each one.
Claim Number One: Jesus declared that He was the Only Begotten Son of God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16,18). Since then, the Lord has made many people to be His sons and daughters.
Claim Number Two: Jesus declared that He was the same as the Father. He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father (John 14:9)? We can be just like the Father, too, but most preachers today say that nobody can live free from sin. However, the Bible tells us, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4). It also says, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Claim Number Three: Jesus claimed to be the Messiah. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he (John 4:25,26). That Samaritan woman had come to draw water from the well where Jesus sat; but after talking to Him, she left her water pot and ran to tell everyone in town that she had found the Messiah. She started a great revival declaring, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ (John 4:29)? Many people were convinced while others went to see Jesus themselves and then said, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world (John 4:42).
We are taking Jesus to the world, but we have to be just like Jesus to be able to win the lost; and Jesus made that possible when He brought divinity to Earth. He told us that His Father would become our Father; and He taught us to pray, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name (Matthew 6:9). At the close of every one of your prayers, you should say as Jesus did, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).
Our Savior and Redeemer
Claim Number Four: Jesus claimed to be our Redeemer. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). Jesus gave His life to redeem us from our sins.
Claim Number Five: Jesus claimed to be our Savior. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:9,10). Notice Jesus said “that which was lost.” Jesus didn’t come to save only those who are now lost but all those who were lost in the fall of man. He came to save all mankind.
Man lost everything when he sinned, so people are now born with only ashes; but when you are saved, you trade those ashes for beauty. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:3). Jesus made it possible for us to trade our sin and degradation for the beauty of divinity, of Heaven and of good health. He supplies all of our needs.
Claim Number Six: Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:17). If Jesus had not had divinity in Him, that would have been a false claim; but it is true that no one can receive salvation any other way but through Jesus. Then when you are saved, your sins are cast into the sea of forgetfulness. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19).
Jesus Brought Life
Claim Number Seven: Jesus declared, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Those who are in false doctrine will go to hell because they believe doctrines of devils. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (I Timothy 4:1). If you die with one willful sin in your life, you will go to hell. Many people who have said they were ready for Heaven have found themselves in hell.
Claim Number Eight: Jesus claimed He was the forgiver of sins. When He healed a man who was sick with palsy, He said, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee (Mark 2:5). That man was saved and healed. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion (Mark 2:12).
Claim Number Nine: Jesus claimed to be the resurrection and the life. Jesus’ friend Lazarus had been dead for four days; and at his tomb, Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live…Lazarus, come forth (John 11:25,43).
Lazarus did walk out of that tomb, but then the Jews wanted to kill both Jesus and Lazarus because people were believing in Jesus and because Lazarus was a testimony to Him. From that day forth they took counsel together for to put him [Jesus] to death (John 11:53). The chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus (John 12:10,11). It is sad when people don’t want a testimony of reality from God.
Jesus Reigns over All
Claim Number Ten: Jesus claimed to be the judge of all nations, tribes and people. Peter said, And he [Jesus] commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead (Acts 10:42). Jesus will reign over the Judgment of the Nations that will take place at the end of the Tribulation Period. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:32). Everything is so simple when Heaven is in charge.
Claim Number Eleven: Jesus claimed to have all authority and power. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). Jesus offered that same power to people when He was here, and He is still offering it to people today; however, just as many people rejected Jesus and His power then, they are rejecting them now. I want all the power from Heaven I can get, and I have told God that if people won’t use the power and the talents He has given them, He can give them to me; and I will gladly use them for Him.
Claim Number Twelve: Jesus claimed that He would always be present with us. Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28:20). But some of you will not accept that, and you are always searching for Him. You must know that if you are His child, you are always in touch with Him by faith. You don’t have to search for someone who is present. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). I have used that verse thousands of times to agree with people for their loved ones to be saved and healed, and it works. Jesus cares for you; and the Holy Spirit was sent to protect you, to teach you the right way and to always remind you of all of the Lord’s teachings and mighty works.
Claim Number Thirteen: Jesus claimed He would come the third time. Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:30,31).
When Jesus comes the second time, He will come as a thief in the night and take out the valuables—the members of the Bride of Christ. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night (II Peter 3:10). However, when Jesus comes the third time, the whole world will see Him. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen (Revelation 1:7).
Only Salvation Leads to Heaven
You must walk Calvary’s road. Jesus said, Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). Many will follow the broad way, but only a few will walk on the narrow road because you have to repent to get on that road. The narrow road has no detours or crossroads, and it will lead you through the straight gate without any trouble.
That road will be a highway of holiness. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it (Isaiah 35:8). There can be no sin on that highway; you have to be as holy as God is. Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). Then you have to be all He wants you to be.
Calvary’s road is the way of peace, hope, patience, self-control and salvation. Jesus said, Ye must be born again (John 3:7). You will never get to Heaven unless you are born new and quit all your sinning. Then Heaven will be closer than the moon, the stars and the sun; and Jesus is the only way there. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10:1).
If you have any willful sin in you, God is not your Father; and instead, the devil owns you. Jesus said, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).
Follow Jesus
The jailer at Philippi found the way to Heaven through Paul and Silas. There was a great earthquake, and he thought all of the prisoners had escaped; so he was getting ready to kill himself when Paul said, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway (Acts 16:28-33). The jailer almost went to hell; but instead, he and his family were saved and baptized that night.
When Jesus met the disciples, they were just fishermen; and He told them to drop their nets and follow Him. Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). Jesus wants us to drop the nets of the world and follow Him, too. Jesus said, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23). Jesus came all the way from Heaven to show us the way there. Then He walked out of the tomb; and because He lives, we will never die.
When we become sons and daughters of God, we are joint-heirs with Christ. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). Through His body, we become members of the body of Christ. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).
Live Holy
Does Heaven seem far away to you today? Are you alive in the blood of the Lamb? With that blood, just one Jesus step will take you from Earth to Heaven. It is a holy step; but without holiness, the Bible says you will never see the face of God. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
We are only safe through eternal redemption. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us (Hebrews 9:12). For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified (Hebrews 10:14). Being sanctified means you have been made holy by divinity, and there is not one speck of sin in you. Jesus made that possible when He willingly gave Himself for us. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father (John 10:17,18).
When Jesus took your sins and mine in the Garden of Gethsemane, it was more than He could bear; but He told the Father, Let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt (Matthew 26:39). So God sent an angel to strengthen Him. And there appeared an angel unto him [Jesus] from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43).
Jesus tasted death for every human being so He could give them life. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). Then when He cried, It is finished (John 19:30), He had won.
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:20). The veil that separated us from God was Christ’s flesh; and when Jesus was on the Cross, the veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (Mark 15:37,38). Under the Law, no one could go beyond that veil into the holy of holies but the High Priest on the Day of Atonement; and that day came only once a year. Today, all Jews and Gentiles can be saved if they want to be, but that can only happen through the divine blood of Jesus.
Receive the Holy Ghost
After being sanctified and made holy, the next step is receiving the Holy Ghost; but you have to live holy to keep Him, and the Holy Ghost delights in living on the inside of those who are holy. He will teach, comfort and guide us and bring all things to our remembrance that the Lord taught when He was on Earth. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).
The Holy Ghost will comfort you in your deep valleys, but some will not let Him do that; and others don’t even realize He will. When I lost my wife, Angel, I don’t know how I would have lived if I had not had the Holy Ghost because He was such a comfort to me. I always bow to God’s will no matter how much it hurts, and I never consider my feelings or the price I have to pay.
Jesus said that the Comforter would come. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).
If you have the real Holy Ghost today and the Holy Ghost has you, you have the Spirit without measure just like Jesus did. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him (John 3:34). You can have all of the Spirit you want and need, but it takes prayer and fasting to be able to use what the Spirit gives you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Jesus told us nothing but the truth.
No Rapture without the Holy Ghost
The Rapture is just one step away for all holy people who are full of the Holy Ghost; but if you don’t have Him, you can’t make that step because it is too big for you to make on your own. The Lord has told me three different times down through the years that people would have to have the Holy Ghost to be able to make the Rapture. He also told me that those who do not hunger and thirst after Him are not really saved; so if you are one of those and you were to die right now, you would not go to Heaven.
When I got saved, I felt the need of the Holy Ghost; so I sought the Lord night and day, and I soon received the real baptism. Then the Lord called me to preach the Gospel to the whole world, and I have been preaching ever since.
When Rapture time comes, it will be so easy for you to be changed in a twinkling of an eye through the power of the Holy Ghost; and then you will be caught away to be with the Lord forever. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).
You will be carried way up in the air in the Spirit before you even realize what has happened to you, and the Lord let me experience it one time. I did not know it was going to happen just like we do not know when the real thing will take place, but I found myself way up in the air surrounded by millions of people; and they were all shouting, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” The heavens were ringing with that great word, the only word that is the same in every language.
Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
Do you believe you can walk the spiritual waters with Jesus today? The Bible says all things are possible if you will get off your little boat of self and believe. If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).
The Bible said we are not to be anxious or worry about anything. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). Heaven is just a prayer away, so give glory to the Lord in prayers and in supplications. Then you can walk the waters in jubilee because Jesus will walk them with you.
You will have nothing to fear or worry about when you are looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). When Jesus was here, Peter actually stepped off the boat onto the stormy sea and walked on the waters with Him; but when he lost sight of Jesus, he started to go down. He knew Jesus was there, so he cried for Him to save him. When he [Peter] saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:30,31)? Jesus asked Peter why he had used human faith when He had given him divine faith that would have kept him from sinking.
Have Faith in God
Divine faith is a gift that is given to everyone. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). You cannot even get saved without that measure of faith because only through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ can you be born new. Then you have to live by faith and not by your feelings. The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11). Some of you still live too much in your feelings. You don’t pray or study the Word unless you feel like it, and you may not even go to church all the time.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:22). That refers to the water that flows from the river of life. Thus saith the Lord, that is the kind of water you will find running before the throne of God; and that water is flowing from us to the people of the world today to give them a chance to accept Christ. He said He would flow rivers of living water into your innermost being. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). The Spirit is always hurrying me on because we do not have much more time.
The Bible tells us that Jesus, for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus paid the price and endured the Cross so we could sit down at the right hand of the throne of God like He did.
Because of the devil, you will have to endure a lot of things in this life, too, but never listen to him or he will torment you and worry you. Never talk doubt or listen to doubting people either because that is devil talk, and the Lord never speaks that kind of doubting talk. Thus saith the Lord, you can be free of doubt. Therefore, you must have faith.
We Have Everything in Christ
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (I Corinthians 2:9). To love the Lord means to serve Him; so if you really love Him, you will live free from all sin. If you are not living that way, you have the love of the devil in you; and that does not mix with the love of God. The devil has no love, only hate; and he even despises his own.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life (Romans 6:22). What is the fruit unto holiness?—the nine fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering [or patience], gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance [or self-control] (Galatians 5:22,23). The fruit in Eden was very special, but it was still physical fruit. The fruit that we can have is much greater because it is all divine. Jesus brought it within your reach, and that means holy living can be yours.
When you have the Holy Ghost, you will have these fruits. Some so-called Christians don’t have temperance, and they say that they can’t control themselves; but they could if they really had Jesus inside. Paul knew that; and he said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).
At one time, Paul had been the chief of sinners. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15). Later, Paul became the greatest apostle of all, and he never even saw Jesus in the flesh as some of the others had.
Paul said we are complete in Christ. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). When something is complete, that means there is nothing that needs to be added to it. We have everything we need through Jesus Christ. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). God said that; I believe it, and that settles it. I never make room for doubt.
Do Not Miss Heaven
Sinner, Heaven is just a prayer away; but the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man (Genesis 6:3). The Lord is offering you salvation now; so you had better come, saith the Lord. The Lord is waiting for you today, but you may never have another chance. God said, Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth (Proverbs 27:1). You have no promise of tomorrow; so if you want to go to Heaven, you have to make your choice now. The Bible says, Choose you this day whom ye will serve (Joshua 24:15). There is no second chance after death.
If you don’t meet the requirements for Heaven, you will never see it or experience it. You should never close your eyes with one willful sin in your spirit because if you would die in your sleep like so many people have done, you would lift up your eyes in eternal hell. There are no unbelievers in hell, but their belief does them no good there because it is already too late for them. Some of you may be dying with AIDS or some other deadly disease, and that is horrible; but having sin in your heart is worse. It will not only destroy your body but also your soul as the eternal ages roll.
Sinner, you can be born of the Spirit of God and have your passport to Heaven, so say the sinners’ prayer right now and come to Jesus. Oh, God, I am a sinner! I am lost, but your Word has found lodging in my heart; and great fear has taken me over because I know I have heard the truth. You said if I would repent of my sins, you would forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I believe in your death on Calvary and in your shed blood. You died for me, and I know salvation is real. I do believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! Now, serve the Lord and live for Him because I want to meet you in Heaven one day.
Healing Can Be Yours
When Jesus was here, He healed all kinds of sicknesses and diseases; and He is still doing that today. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). If you are sick and afflicted, you can be cured of whatever diseases you have because faith in God heals the sick. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (James 5:15). And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).
Believers are people with faith, and there is power in the name of Jesus. The Lord has given me His gifts, and the Holy Spirit works them through me to heal the people. I am not a healer; I am just God’s witness and His believer.
Lord, I bring you people who have deadly diseases working in them, and some of them may even be dead in a few more hours unless you heal them. I put their cases under the divine blood, and that blood will destroy any disease if a person will really look to the Lord and believe. Lord, I curse AIDS in the bodies of the people today and heal those with cancer, heart trouble, lung trouble, diabetes and those who have suffered strokes. Jesus said, “Only believe.” Heal! in the blood-name of Jesus. Heal!
Feel God’s holy power flowing through you now as I feel His power and presence. It is the same power that healed me when I went to the edge of the grave at just 23 years old. I had so many things wrong with me, but that power made me whole all over. I have never forgotten those long hours of suffering, and it looked like they would never end; but an eternal night without Jesus will be much worse.
I hope you gave your heart to the Lord today. You can’t just talk about going to Heaven; you have to do what the Lord told you to in His Holy Bible. Heaven is a wonderful place, and I am going; and I hope to see you there, too.
