Jesus walked on this Earth for thirty–three years, and all of His walks on Earth were great; but His greatest walk of all was when He walked out of the tomb. On that day, He conquered everything—including death, hell and the grave—not for Himself but for all the inhabitants of the Earth.

Jesus’ walk was one of fasting. The Bible tells us that after He had fasted for forty days and nights in the wilderness, the devil came to tempt Him. He tried to persuade Jesus to turn stones into bread; but Jesus said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). The devil tried to get Jesus to worship him; but He said, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10). Jesus rebuked the devil three times, and Satan left Him for a season. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season (Luke 4:13). Jesus showed us a great lesson about how to overcome the devil with the Word.

Later, the devil returned to torment Jesus, and he will return to torment you, too; but you can use the Word on the devil just as Jesus did because Satan can’t stand the Word. He also fears the divine blood, so you can spray the devil with it; and he will run from you. The Bible tells us that just one angel with a chain of blood will cast Lucifer into the bottomless pit. And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:1–3). The devil is already defeated through the blood, but he doesn’t want you to know it.

The devil fears the fire of the Holy Spirit, and it will burn him; but that kind of fire will not burn God’s people. When you are blood–washed and sinless before Heaven, you are God’s property; and the devil has no right to touch you. He will try to trick you and make you think he does, and he will try to make you think you can’t live free from him; but you can! Tell the devil what God has said, and he won’t be able to take it because it is the blood Word.

God has taught me so much about the devil’s kingdom, and I promised Him years ago that I would uncover the devil at any cost. The devil will make those who are devil possessed and addicted to tobacco, alcohol or drugs think they can never be free; but through the blood of Jesus, they can be set free. God has gifted me with His delivering power, and it has delivered untold multitudes. These signs shall follow them that believe; In my [blood] name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). Believers will do these things through the divine blood.

Divine Help in the Valley

Jesus walked to the Mount of Transfiguration with three of His disciples. And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid (Mark 9:2–6).

Those three disciples heard the voice of God on that Mount of Glory and were caught up in the glory of it all. Peter became so excited that he wanted to build three tabernacles on that high mountain, but who would ever have walked all the way up there to go to church? Instead, the Lord led them back down the mountain and into the valley of human needs. Peter learned a great lesson through that experience, and we are to work in the valley of human needs, too. Jesus doesn’t give us mountain peaks to live on because in the valleys is where He meets us and gives us the help we need. The divine water of life flows through the valleys.

Jesus walked out of the tomb to comfort the brokenhearted, and you must let the Holy Ghost comfort you just as Jesus said He would. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). The Holy Ghost is our teacher and guide. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13). I have spent thousands of hours being taught by the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost will give you a soothing spirit of peace. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Then the Spirit gives you joy unspeakable and full of glory (I Peter 1:8). He brings you goodness and deals with you with divine hope that will help you reach for divine faith, and divine faith will always work for you.

Jesus came from Heaven, and everything He brought was divine. He taught us how to use divinity, and we must live in it. Jesus was the Second Adam, and He victoriously walked all the paths that we have to walk; and He won.

Jesus Brought Divine Healing

God wants you to know that every step Jesus made here on Earth was a divine, blood step. That was why the sick were healed, the dead were raised to life, and the devil–possessed were delivered. Jesus walked out of the tomb to destroy all kinds of sicknesses, diseases, deformities and afflictions; but when you are looking to the Lord for healing, you must will to be healed all over. The Lord revealed to me that when Jesus was here, He didn’t heal people of only one disease; He made them whole all over.

When I was twenty–three, I was near death. I had just started preaching at eighteen, and I wanted to take Jesus to the world; so I couldn’t understand why the Lord was going to let me die. My body kept getting worse until I thought I would be dead in just two or three more days. I had suffered so much that I thought my faith was all gone, but it wasn’t; and one great night, Jesus came and made me whole all over. Later, I realized I had to go into that deep valley to know how people look at death and how they feel when they are facing it.

Jesus raised the dead. He walked to Lazarus’ tomb; and when He cried, Lazarus, come forth…he that was dead came forth (John 11:43,44). Lazarus walked out alive after being dead for four days!

At another time, Jesus was talking with Jairus when a messenger came and told the man, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further (Mark 5:35)? But Jesus said, Be not afraid, only believe (Mark 5:36). Jesus followed Jairus to his house; and when they arrived, there were many people crying and carrying on. Jesus said, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn (Mark 5:39,40). To Jesus, death was just sleep; so He sent them all out of the house and closed the door, and then He walked to the girl’s bedside. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment (Mark 5:41,42). That girl was alive!

God’s anointing is in my voice; and because of that, the dead have been raised in this Jesus ministry. We prayed all night for one of my staff members who had suffered a massive heart attack. The nurse at the hospital said the man had no pulse for twenty minutes; and during that time, he actually went to Heaven where he saw Jesus and my wife, Angel. Our prayers brought him back, but he was never satisfied. A few years later, that man went to Heaven to stay. Jesus is the only one who stands between us and death today.

God’s Man Sinned

When Jesus walked out of the tomb, He used the same feet that had walked in Eden. He was the same Jesus to whom the Lord God had said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Genesis 1:26). Jesus is the one who helped Him make that man.

Unfortunately, that first Adam failed, so the Lord had to cast Adam and his wife out of Eden; and we have no record that they ever got back in. God set cherubims with flaming swords at Eden’s gate because the tree of life was still in the Garden; and if man had been able to get to that tree, he would have lived forever. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Genesis 3:22–24).

When man sinned, that sin was handed down through the ages. Cain committed murder and killed his brother because of jealousy. When God asked Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? Cain replied, Am I my brother’s keeper (Genesis 4:9)? But the Lord knew what Cain had done; and He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear (Genesis 4:10–13). But Cain had to take that punishment anyway. God would not allow Cain to be killed, so he really had to suffer.

The Disciples Failed

Think about Christ’s walk of agony and despair in the Garden of Gethsemane; and in that time of need, the apostles—those He was closest to and those He had spent so much time with—failed Him. They had feet to run away that night, but not feet to walk like Jesus because most of them were not talking the Jesus talk or living the Jesus life. Jesus knew what was to come; and things got so bad for Him that night that He prayed, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt (Matthew 26:39). Then the Lord sent an angel to strengthen Him. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43).

What became of some of the disciples after that night? Judas backslid and sold out Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14,15). Later, Judas took the money back and threw it down at the priests’ feet, and then he committed suicide. How sad! Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself (Matthew 27:3–5). Judas has been in hell for about 2000 years now.

Peter also backslid, even though he had told the Lord that he would never deny Him. At the Last Supper, Jesus said to the disciples, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended. Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice (Matthew 26:31–34).

The Lord had told Peter that he would deny Him three times, and he did. Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly (Matthew 26:69–75).

Be Wide–Awake

Jesus’ walk in the Garden of Gethsemane should not have been as horrible as it was, but the disciples failed Jesus when they could have helped Him so much. He tried to keep them awake just as He is trying to keep the members of the bridal company awake today. And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he [Jesus] saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak (Mark 14:32–35,37,38). The disciples fell asleep on Jesus three times that night; and Jesus finally said to them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners (Mark 14:41).

Are you wide–awake in the Spirit today? Only the first love you receive at Calvary will keep you awake; and prayer, fasting and living in the Word will help you to use that first love. It is almost the midnight hour, and the Rapture is about to take place; but some of you will miss it if you don’t change because you must have the fullness of the Spirit to be taken.

Jesus Suffered Greatly

Jesus walked to the whipping post for you and me where cruel soldiers almost beat Him to death. Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands (John 19:1–3). With the blood stripes Jesus received at the whipping post, we have physical healing. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Then came Christ’s walk to Calvary, the worst walk of all. The soldiers had kept Jesus up all night long taking Him from judgment hall to judgment hall; and then on His way to Calvary, He fell beneath the load of the Cross. Jesus was a strong, physical man; but because the soldiers had beaten Him so badly and continued to beat Him all the way to Calvary, they had to get someone else to carry the Cross for Him. And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus (Luke 23:26). But Simon could not die in Jesus’ place; Jesus had to give His life.

The Jews Rejected Jesus

During Christ’s trial, the Jews had cried, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas (Luke 23:18). It was a Jewish custom for a prisoner to be set free during the Feast of the Passover, and Pilate tried to save Jesus; but he didn’t succeed. Barabbas was a murderer, a thief and a robber; but the people preferred that he be spared rather than Jesus. Because of a troubling dream, Pilate’s wife told her husband, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him (Matthew 27:19). When Pilate released Jesus to the Jews to be crucified, he said, I find no fault in him (John 19:4).

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man [meaning “Behold your King!”]! And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS (John 19:5,19). The priests wanted Pilate to take it down; but he said, What I have written I have written (John 19:22).

Before Jesus was led away, Pilate took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children (Matthew 27:24,25). What the people said has come to pass. The Jews have been persecuted for thousands of years because they rejected Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God is no longer fighting for them like He once did, but they made that choice; and they have never changed. God has always loved Israel and helped them when they would repent, but they will not seek the face of God.

Jesus Conquered the Tomb

After Jesus walked to Calvary, the people thought He would never walk again. Loved ones who had been so close to Him watched Him from afar, and only a few of the women and John were close by. Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home (John 19:25–27). I am sure John took care of Mary for the rest of her life.

Jesus had cast seven devils out of Mary Magdalene, and she had great love for Him. She stuck by Him all the way and was ready to die for His name’s sake.

On the day Jesus walked out of the tomb, Mary Magdalene arrived there early in the morning to anoint His body, which was the Jewish custom; but there was no body to be found. She thought somebody had carried it away; so she rushed over to a man she thought was the gardener and said, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master (John 20:15,16).

Nobody had ever spoken her name like Jesus did; and when He said “Mary,” her eyes were opened, and she reached out to touch Him. But Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God (John 20:17).

Mary ran to tell the other disciples that Jesus was alive, but they did not believe her. Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not (Mark 16:9–11).

Some people don’t think there should be female preachers, but the Lord must think it is fine because He used a woman to preach the first Gospel message after Christ had been resurrected. Mary saw an angel of the Lord in the tomb who told her, Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you (Mark 16:6,7). Mary was chosen by God; and in this last hour, He will use all those who are faithful regardless of whether they are men or women.

Unbelief Could Not Stop Jesus

When Jesus walked out of the tomb, a great earthquake shook the whole Earth; and God told me that He shook the very depths of hell, too. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men (Matthew 28:2–4).

The chief priests and Pharisees tried to make sure that nothing would become of Jesus’ body by placing soldiers in the Garden to guard the tomb because one of the priests had reminded the governor, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead…So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch (Matthew 27:63,64,66). But it did not matter how many soldiers were guarding the tomb that day because Jesus had said, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up (John 2:19); and that was exactly what happened.

The people of that day did not believe Jesus just like hardhearted people do not believe Him today, and soon, they will be in hell. They will believe Him then, but it will be too late. God won’t care about them anymore because they will have blasphemed against the Holy Ghost.

When Jesus walked out of the tomb, He trampled death, hell and the grave for you and me. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:55)? He walked out for us and destroyed everything wrong so we could have everything right. He was saying, “Here is my power. Now use it so you can have victory over the devil.”

Walk with Jesus

Jesus never wants you to forget that He walked out of the tomb for you. He is our Savior, our King and God’s Son; and He did not fail. Because He walked out, you will go through Heaven’s pearly gates one day and walk on streets of gold. You will walk with Him in a place where there will be no tears, no sorrows and no heartaches. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4). Life will be pulsing everywhere, and we will walk with Jesus for all eternity and never die.

Until that great day, we can walk every step in Jesus’ steps; and those steps go all over the world. The devil has never been able to destroy one of the Lord’s steps, and we can be just like Jesus.

In 1954, the Lord gave me a great vision; and I actually walked with God. I didn’t know it was God at the time; but later, the Lord told me that I had actually walked with Him. My head came to about His kneecap, and I could see that He was dressed like a Roman soldier ready for war. The Bible says He is a God of war. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name (Exodus 15:3). He fights our battles for us; so I turn my enemies over to the blood of Jesus, and you should do likewise. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19).

A New Creation

We did not get to live in the first Eden, but we can have an Eden in our souls when we repent. I was saved at an old–fashioned altar in a church that was on fire with the power of the Holy Ghost like was described in the Acts of the Apostles. When I walked into that church that night, I did not want to go; but I knew God would kill me if I didn’t. I had promised Him that if He would not bother me for one week and let me do anything I wanted to, I would give my life to Him forever; and I knew I had to do it.

I stumbled down the aisle like I was drunk, but I was drunk only on old–time conviction. I felt as if I was going to my death, and I don’t think a person headed for the electric chair or the gas chamber could have felt any worse than I did that night. But when I hit the altar, I hit it the right way; and the Lord took me over.

The Lord gave me His mind, and I was a different person! For six weeks, I didn’t even realize there was a devil because it was as if the Lord had poured down all of Heaven’s happiness on me. He caught me up into His presence, and I dined with Him. During that short period of time, I was saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost; and then I began preaching. God gifted me with the ability to preach, and I was a firebrand for the Lord because Jesus had walked out.

Who Is Jesus?

Who is our King of Glory? Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory (Psalm 24:9,10). Jesus said, I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16). I AM the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys (Song of Solomon 2:1). Jesus is the love and the sunshine of our lives, our eternal light and life.

Jesus is the power of our resurrection into righteousness and true holiness. That ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). We must know Jesus in the power of His resurrection just as Paul did. That I may know him [Jesus], and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10). That was the secret to Paul’s great success for the Lord.

No More Veil

Jesus walked out so that anyone who wants it can have the passport to Heaven. When He died at Calvary, the veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom, signifying that God had done it. If man had torn the veil, it would have been from the bottom up. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (Mark 15:37,38).

In the Old Testament, the veil separated the people from the most holy place, the place where God dwelled; and only the high priest could enter that place once a year. He would atone for the sins of the people, but then they would go right back into sin because they didn’t have the divine blood to keep them out.

Parents would stand outside that holy tabernacle and yearn to go in so their children could be healed, but they could not enter. No one could even go in to remove the high priest if he died while he was in there. He had bells on the hems of his garments that jingled when he made the slightest move; and if the bells stopped jingling, the people knew something was wrong. Then they would have to pull him out by a rope that they kept tied to him.

Under the Law, the people were separated from God; but after Jesus walked out, that was not the case. The great message from Calvary was: Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). We are no longer separated from God; and the Bible says, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Whosoever will can come to the Lord and be forgiven of his or her sins, and God will never remember those sins again. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come (Revelation 22:17).

God’s Great Love

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The whole heart of God is ours today because God told me that He gave His whole heart when He allowed His Son to die on Calvary, and He said it was the only time He had ever used all of His love. God and His Son had made the plan of redemption together, but they had never discussed what God would have to suffer. God didn’t know He would have to turn His back on His own Son.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Matthew 27:46)? God had to block out the whole scene and stop up His ears so He couldn’t see or hear what was happening, or He would have come down and destroyed everything; but God knew He couldn’t fail His Son. Jesus had willingly paid the price so we could walk like Him and help people. Jesus said, Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again (John 10:17,18).

Jesus was pronounced dead, and His body lay cold in death in the sepulcher for three days. But the power of the Holy Ghost was still in that body; and when it came time for Jesus’ body to be resurrected, it came to life. Jesus walked out of that tomb just like He said He would.

Jesus gave His life so we could be His hands, His eyes, His ears and His feet and so we could walk where He had walked. The Bride is walking the Earth today with Heaven’s peace. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Power from On High

Because Jesus walked out, we can be born again and filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. We can have the divine tongue of fire of love, grace and peace; and that tongue can cast out devils. There may be thousands of people in one of my crusade services, and God will use my voice to command devils to go out of people who are standing in the back of the crowd. That power comes from On High, and it is the same power Jesus gave to the disciples. And he [Jesus] called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them (Mark 6:7,12,13). Jesus said one devil cannot cast out another devil, so they had to have done it through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). In the name of Jesus, we cannot only do His works but also greater works, which means greater in number; and that is happening now.

I preach to more people on one trip to the mission field than Christ preached to during the whole time He was on Earth. Jesus gave us the tongue of fire to preach the Gospel, and His tracks lead us into prisons and even into AIDS houses. We are not afraid of getting AIDS because we have divine blood protection. People are being healed of AIDS, and that gives us open doors to many nations where God performs thousands of miracles. In one place, we had 12,000 miracles in just a matter of moments; God numbered them Himself, and even more took place after that.

You Must Have the Holy Ghost

People are receiving the Holy Ghost in our crusade services. God has given me His power to call down the Holy Ghost upon people, the same power from On High that the disciples received on the Day of Pentecost. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1–4).

The disciples in Jesus’ day had to receive the Holy Ghost before they could start His Church. Jesus told them, Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). Jesus did not just tell the disciples that they should receive; He commanded them. And, being assembled together with them, [Jesus] commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). Today, Jesus is commanding all of His saints to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost; and if your heart is right with God, it will cry out for more of His power from On High.

The disciples were not strong enough without the Holy Ghost; and in this last hour, neither are you. You will never make it on the one flight out without the Holy Ghost. If you are saved by the blood of the Lamb, you will go to Heaven when you die; but the Lord told me it would take more power to go by air than by the way of the grave. The Lord has told me three different times that people must have the Holy Ghost to make the Rapture.

Even Jesus, the very Son of God, had to receive the Holy Ghost when He was here; and John the Baptist was a witness to Christ’s baptism. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God (John 1:32–34). If Jesus needed the Holy Ghost, then we need to have that power, too.

Jesus Was Alive

After Jesus walked out of the tomb, He joined two very sad and troubled disciples who were walking along the road to Emmaus; but He withheld His identity from them. Jesus asked them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days (Luke 24:17,18)? The two men went on to tell the supposed stranger about Christ’s crucifixion and that His body was missing.

All of this troubled Jesus, too, because He knew the men did not understand what had happened or why. Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself (Luke 24:25–27).

When the men got to their village, Jesus acted as if He would continue on; but because it was too late to be traveling on foot, they insisted He go in with them. And he [Jesus] went in to tarry with them. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight (Luke 24:29–31).

When Jesus was with the disciples, He had always blessed the food; so when He did that, their eyes were opened to who He was. Suddenly, they forgot about eating, and they headed back to Jerusalem to proclaim that Jesus was alive! And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon (Luke 24:33,34).

Have No Doubt

When the two men got back to Jerusalem and the disciples had gathered, Jesus suddenly appeared among them and said, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord (John 20:19,20).

Thomas was not with the others that day because he had shut himself away for eight days, doubting and pouting. The other disciples therefore said unto him [Thomas], We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25). How sad that was.

About five hundred people saw Jesus after He was resurrected, but where were they later? He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep (I Corinthians 15:6). Only about 120 of them climbed the mountain to see Jesus ascend back to Heaven because some would not believe in His resurrection power.

Still today, many people don’t believe. When I was having a crusade in Alabama, one prominent businessman heard the news of deaf people being healed; but he said, “I won’t believe that unless I see it.” So he went to see what it was all about; and when the first deaf person was healed and began to speak, he finally believed.

You have to prepare to receive God’s miracles, and get rid of all doubt and unbelief. Why will you doubt God when He has never given you any reason to doubt Him? Instead, why don’t you doubt your own doubts, the thoughts the devil tries to bring to you and the opinions of people around you? It is time for us to wake up and believe the Lord.

Some people will talk about God’s power, but they will only believe it momentarily. They will tune into my television programs and see the blind getting their sight, the deaf hearing and speaking and people being healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases; but then they turn away and forget all about it.

Others have hard hearts and are unbelievers. There are so many dead churches with no signs and wonders because they have only a social Gospel, and there is no God about it. People think that if they sign a church membership card and shake the preacher’s hand, they are all right; and they are if they want to go to hell, but they won’t go to God’s Heaven.

Living Holy Is the Only Way

Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). When Jesus was here, He walked many miles to tell people that; and He performed many miracles to show them that it had to be.

There was a time when God winked at ignorance but not anymore. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30). You are not in ignorance when you know about Jesus. Even children can know about Jesus when they are taught about Him at a young age. My mom rocked all seven of us in a cradle of love as she sang songs to us about Jesus. I will never forget her little songs of love, and the Lord used them to help direct me.

You must live free from sin, and you will find what sin is in the works of the flesh. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings [wild parties], and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19–21).

Jesus walked out of the tomb so we could live free from sin and have all nine fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance [self–control] (Galatians 5:22,23). All of these fruits are divine. Some of you say you can’t control yourself; but if you can’t, then you are not saved. If you argue or gossip, you are not saved. If you think you are, the devil has deceived you; and if you don’t ask for forgiveness, you will go to hell when you die.

When Jesus died, He became the bridge that we must use to cross the river of sin. Thus saith the Lord, that is a born–again bridge of divine blood. We must know that there is no life without Jesus. He said, Because I live, ye shall live also (John 14:19). Paul knew that; and he said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

God Knows All Things

When Jesus walked out, He conquered everything, not just for one person but for all of us. In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37). Being more than conquerors means you have power to conquer every devil that comes your way and still have plenty of power left through the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross to conquer more devils.

In spite of this conquering power, some of you still say you can’t overcome; but you can if you really want to. If you want the Lord’s help, you must put both of your hands in His; but some of you have never done that. When the Lord took my Angel home to Heaven, He came to me and said, “I must have both of your hands in mine for the rest of the journey.” Now, He has them both, and I willingly gave them to Him.

Jesus gave us power to become sons and daughters of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). We must live in that power so the nine gifts of the Spirit can go into operation and bless us. God has given me all of those gifts, and those who attend my services see them in operation.

I never thought I would have a vision from the Lord; but now He takes me into one vision after another to reveal things to me. I say that in all humility because I know it is all God and none of me. The Lord will let me look into people’s souls to see whether or not they are saved. I may just be shaking hands with a person, and He will let me see what is inside of them; but I can’t always tell people what God reveals about them unless God would move on me to do so. God’s gifts have to be used with His wisdom and knowledge.

Our Divine Ark

The Lord took me to David at the time when the Ark of the Covenant was being brought back to Jerusalem. And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter [and David’s wife] looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart (II Samuel 6:14–16). David’s wife despised his reaction because she thought he had made a fool out of himself before the people, but David didn’t care because the ark was finally being returned to Israel; and he was excited.

The Philistines had taken the ark, but it had brought death to so many of them that they were glad to get rid of it. The ark was holy, and no one could touch it or they would die; so they put it on a cart and sent it back to Israel—that was the plan of God. On one occasion when the ark was being moved, it rocked slightly; and when a man reached out to steady it, he died instantly. And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God (II Samuel 6:6,7).

Today, you can only touch God through Jesus Christ. He is our Ark of the Covenant of the Gospel of Heaven, so we should be shouting for joy just as David did because our Ark is coming up the road.

Seek God’s Direction

You must yield your whole life to God. The Lord said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). Do you reason with the Lord, and do you ever put out fleeces before Him? The Bible tells us about fleeces in the story of Gideon. And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew. And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground (Judges 6:36–40).

The Lord answers my fleeces, too, because I stand by them. When you put out a fleece before God, you must mean it and believe in it, or don’t bother putting it out before God. The Lord is not to be played with. When I tell God something, I stand by it with all of my heart.

Because Jesus walked out, He is worthy of every praise. He gave us victory over everything, the same victory He had over all things when He was here. He brought us joy, peace, happiness, the born–again experience, the passport to Heaven and anything else we would ever need. I once heard of a man who said, “When you have Jesus, you don’t need much else”; and I have decided that is the truth!

Choose to Walk with Jesus

Are you walking with Jesus in the power of His resurrection today? If you are not, you will never be taken when Jesus comes. If you are unsaved, get ready for your salvation now and mean business with the Lord. Lift up your hands and say the sinners’ prayer: Oh, God, save my soul! I confess my faith in Jesus Christ, and I believe that the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come on in, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! Jesus has come. Hallelujah! Jesus is mine. Through the divine blood that Jesus brought, I am free. Thank God Almighty, I am free!

Take a Walk on Healing Ground

Jesus walked out so we could walk His seas of promises, and healing is a promise. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). If you are sick and afflicted, the Lord heals all diseases just as easily as if they were a slight headache. It does not matter whether you have AIDS, leprosy, blindness, paralysis, TB, diabetes or heart trouble; the power of His resurrection is for us. He resurrects us into His life, and we have no record of Jesus ever being sick.

Jesus became our sickness–bearer as well as our sin–bearer, and you can be delivered. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). The Bible declares that it is the will of the Lord for us to be in good health. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (III John 1:2).

Lord, here are the young and the old alike. Lord, many of them are in a dying condition, and there is nothing the medical world can do for them; but, Lord, all the power of Heaven is in the blood of Jesus. I use that blood to cleanse the bodies of people from all deadly diseases and to give them life. Heal! in the all–powerful, blood name of Jesus! Heal! I pray, amen and amen.

Now, thank God that you are going to get well and believe it with all of your heart. Watch yourself and your little ones get well and then write and tell me about it. I want to hear from you so we can give God all the praise, honor and glory for your miracle. Go today with this song in your heart: He walked out! Praise God, He walked out!

He walked out of the tomb for you and me. He won over death, hell and the grave. Thank God, we are free indeed because the Son, Jesus, set us free! If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36).
