He Loves You and Me More
by Ernest Angley
December 2011
God loves us more. That may sound like a strange statement; but this message will prove to you that God loves us more than anything else in the world, and it will explain why He does. The Bible tells us that God loves the lilies of the field. Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these (Matthew 6:28,29). God makes the lilies to grow so beautifully, and He loves their fragrance. He also loves the roses, and He identifies Himself with both of these flowers. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys (Song of Solomon 2:1). The Lord loves beautiful flowers, but He loves you and me more.
God loves all of the animals, both big and small. He even cares for the little sparrows so much that He sees every one that falls. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows (Matthew 10:29,31). God watches over the little sparrows, but He loves you and me more. His tender eyes are focused on us, and His listening ears are tuned to our cries. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34:15).
The Fruit of the Harvest
God spoke the Earth into existence, and He saw that everything was good. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good (Genesis 1:1-4). God planned for the Earth to be a paradise. It was to have been lit up with His love, His glory and His power and was to have been operated by His wisdom and knowledge. God loved the Earth He had made, but He loves you and me more.
God made many different kinds of fruit trees to grow and bear wonderful fruit, and He gave His man and woman an appetite for the fruit from those trees. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (Genesis 1:29).
God loves beautiful, perfect fruit so much that He identifies Himself with the grapes and the vine. Jesus said, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). Yes, Jesus loves all of the trees and the fruit He created, but He loves you and me more.
Jesus spoke of the harvest of souls as fruit, and we are to bring forth much fruit. Jesus said, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together (John 4:35,36). Jesus also said, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John 15:16).
God Created the Animals and Nature
God made so many different beautiful birds. He wrote their songs and taught them how to sing them; and although He loves to hear the birds sing, He loves to hear us sing more. Our songs come from an eternal soul that blesses and praises Him. O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation (Psalm 95:1).
God made the beautiful, green grass, and He loves it because it has life in it. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:11,12). Green represents life; and in the Garden, life was pulsing everywhere. Only divine love could have made such a beautiful Garden that no human hands have ever been able to duplicate, but God loves us more.
God made springs of water to gush forth, and He made rivers and streams. He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth (Psalm 104:10-14). God loved His creations, and He made a way for all that He had created to have food and drink.
God made the great seas and every creature that lives in them. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:20,21). Once again, God saw that what He had created was good.
Man couldn’t possibly feed all of the birds, animals and fish; but God loved them all and fed them—and He still does today. He sends the rain and the sunshine so the grass, the trees and the flowers can grow. He even keeps the streams and rivers of water flowing into the seas.
God Will Provide
The Lord loves everything He has created and provides all they need. He made all of the flowers and clothes them so beautifully; but He loves you and me more, so why don’t you trust Him? He said in His Word that He would supply all of our needs. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Birds don’t worry about where their next worm is coming from, but people with plenty of food in their refrigerators and freezers will still wonder what they’re going to eat tomorrow. The Lord said we shouldn’t worry about those things. Take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:31-33).
God Created Man
When God made man and woman, He made them in perfection. He got down in the clay and formed His man out of the dust of the earth, and then He breathed into him the breath of life. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7).
God loved man and woman more than anything He had ever made; they were the delight of His creative powers. Then He placed them in the Garden that was like a part of Heaven where there was never to have been any sin or sorrow. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it (Genesis 2:15). Adam and Eve were made holy, and they were never to have felt a pain or died. They were created with great joy and laughter and had no tear ducts because God never intended for them to cry. God gave them a miniature brain like unto His and an eternal soul.
God loved man and woman so much that He made them in the very image of Himself; and when He looked at them, He saw Himself. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:26,27). They walked and talked like God; and He would come down in the cool of the day to be with them. God was at perfect ease with Adam and Eve, and He enjoyed them so much. God loved the Garden He had created for them and everything He had placed in it, but He loved them more.
Do You Have God’s Image?
Adam and Eve could eat the fruit of any tree in the Garden except one. God said, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:16,17). God never thought that Adam and Eve would choose the forbidden fruit tree, but they did; and the image of God in them was ruined.
Years later, Jesus went to Calvary so people could have the image of God once again, so they could be re-created and born new; and only divine love could make that happen. Jesus told Nicodemus, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). That was divinity speaking, divinity who loves us with everlasting love.
When you look into a mirror, you see your own image looking back at you; but when God looks at you, He wants to see Himself looking back. He wants to see His eyes and hear His voice. We’re to talk like Him and walk in His light. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (I John 1:7). Jesus brought that light and the new and living way because He loves you and me so much. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:19,20).
Divine Blood for Soul, Mind and Body
God wants you to know that He never changes. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is and always will be the Lord who made us. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3). We’re His sheep, and we’ve been made holy. We’re no longer soiled with sin; we’re free and clean. When we lift our hands in the name of Jesus, it’s the same as the nail-riven hands being raised; and the devil loses his power.
The divine blood from Heaven is furnished to us; and when we use it, it forms a hedge around us just like it did for Job. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land (Job 1:8-10). The Old Testament is filled with types and shadows of living realities to come.
The divine blood can make us whole because Jesus came to bring healing to all. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). God tried to tell man that He was still their God even though they were outside of Eden, but they wouldn’t listen. It took the Gospel coming down from Heaven, miracles and healings and even the dead being raised for them to believe. Then it took the Old Rugged Cross to let man and woman know that God loves human beings more than anything else on Earth.
And great multitudes came unto him [Jesus], having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel (Matthew 15:30,31). Jesus healed the people, not because He had to but because He loved them; and you must know that the love of God will do anything for those who will serve Him. The grass and the flowers eventually wilt and die, but children of God will never die. Jesus gave His life on Calvary; but He didn’t do it for the Earth, the flowers or the trees—He did it for you and me so we could live for eternity.
Reason with the Lord
God didn’t make His plan for the animals, but they will enjoy the results of it in the Perfect Age when the curse is finally lifted from the Earth and the devil goes out of every animal. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:6-9). God never intended for lions and tigers to harm human beings; but when the devil took the animals over, they became ferocious. They were without love, and they were destructive.
God loves the animals, but He loves you and me more; and we need to walk in that knowledge. He wants to reason with us, and He proved that when He came down in the cool of the day to walk and talk with His man and woman. He limited Himself to short steps so man and woman could make the same steps. He limited the size of His hands so that man and woman’s hands would fit into His. He limited His arms so that they could be wrapped around each little lamb. The Lord limited Himself in so many ways because He loves you and me more.
God Gives Light
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:16-18). God made the moon, the stars and the sun for man and woman. He didn’t make them for Himself because He didn’t need them; He already had the great light of Heaven. It’s wonderful when the moon is shining brightly and lights up the dark night. Man wasn’t created to live in darkness; and he never knew night in the Garden of Eden because he had the light of God. God loved the light He had made, but He loves you and me more.
God doesn’t ever want His divine light to go out of us; but one day, He’s going to turn the light out on this Earth. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind (Revelation 6:12,13). God’s going to blacken the sun, turn the moon to blood and cast down the stars; but before the Tribulation Period begins, He is going to take His children home, and He’s building each one of us a mansion in Heaven. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2,3). Why is the Lord doing all of this?—because He loves you and me more.
No More Sorrow
When God made man and woman, He never intended for them to cry; but when they sinned, He loved them so much that it brought tears and sorrow to the throne of God. In Heaven, there will be no more unhappiness or tears and no more death. God loves us so much that the Bible tells us He’ll take His love handkerchief and wipe away all of our tears. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4). Then God will wipe away His own tears.
God is making things of beauty for us, and no tears will ever stain the streets of that heavenly city. There will be no destroyed lives, no lust, no deadly diseases and no death. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:26,55)? Death will be destroyed because He loves you and me more. We’re in the very heart of God.
In God’s beautiful Heaven, the streets are made of gold and the gates are of pearl. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass (Revelation 21:21). People on Earth have killed others and destroyed so much of their own lives trying to get gold, silver and precious stones; but those things are just building materials in Heaven, just like a block of cement or a clay brick is here on Earth. What will be of the most value in Heaven?—you and me because He loves us more.
In Heaven, you’ll find a crystal clear river and a tree of life; and when you drink from that river and eat the fruit of that tree, you’ll live forever. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:1,2).
Jesus Brought Love
God can forsake anything He’s ever made, but He’ll never forsake you and me because He loves us more. We are His sheep, and He leads us beside the still waters. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters (Psalm 23:1,2).
Jesus came to protect us and to save us, and He brought everything we will ever need. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Jesus brought truth and grace and conquered all. He was such a package of love from Heaven that we don’t need anything else. All divine life flows through grace, and it’s by grace that we can and must live free from all sin. Those who don’t will be destroyed.
The name is Jesus; and because He loves you and me, He freely lets us use His name. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13). The animals can’t use His name because they don’t have divine blood; but we have a soul covered and sealed with divine blood, one that the demons of hell and Lucifer himself cannot break through.
Calvary was made because Jesus loves you and me. He wore the crown of thorns, was beaten almost to death at the whipping post and was nailed to that Old Rugged Cross because He loves you and me so much. Feel His love today; feel the assurance, the strength and the favor of it and know you’ll never walk alone.
The Lord holds your hand; and as long as there’s any danger around, He will never let go. He’ll be at your door each morning saying, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). You must listen for His knock, and open the door.
Love Your Children More
In the Angley home, the first thing Mama and Daddy did each morning was to pray and thank God for another day. Then Mama would fix breakfast while Daddy studied his Bible. They loved the Lord, and the Lord loved them. They wanted their children to follow the right paths, and they wanted to be good examples to them.
We were always taught to treat people with great respect and that we brought a reproach upon the family when we acted the wrong way and showed the wrong spirit. My parents sought to keep peace in the home and with those around them. They never fussed or fought with the neighbors or with anybody else. They went to church with a clear conscience, and we had confidence in their praises. We knew they spoke a different language, a language of love that penetrated deep into our innermost beings.
The Bible was paramount in our home; and when Mama and Daddy picked up the Bible, we knew they were picking up Jesus. They taught us the paths of God that we should travel, but they left it up to us to answer God’s call to work for Him. They wanted us to walk in the will of God, to please Him and to do what the Lord wanted us to do. They worked hard to do their part, and then they turned us over to the Lord.
Children are a big responsibility. You must devote your life to them and love them more than you love wanting to do things for yourself. There’s nothing like a praying mom and dad who walk hand-in-hand with the Lord and love you more than houses, lands or money. You must want your children to have the best life that Heaven affords, and you must do all you can to help them live for God and serve Him. You must tell them the great story of Jesus over and over from the time they are small and pray with them daily. A family altar will make your home so different.
I saw great sacrifice in my home, and I’ll love my parents for it for all time and eternity. Their love for God and for their children helped prepare me for the pulpit even though they had no idea that I’d ever be a minister. The devil almost destroyed my mother when I was born; but the Lord loved me when I was in my mother’s womb, and He didn’t let it happen. He had marked me to preach and teach His Gospel, and He knew I would need my very special mother. The Lord chose a special mother for His Son, Jesus, and He wants all children to have special mothers and daddies. If you’re going to have children, you must become something very special for God or it will be a lost cause for God and for the child.
Children of God
All of God’s promises are for you and me because we are the love of His heart. He loves us just as much as He loves His Only Begotten because when we’re re-created through the blood of the Lamb, we become sons and daughters of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). We become a part of Him. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30). God wants us to be clothed in all of His righteousness, holiness and greatness so we can become fit citizens for Heaven.
Only love can make you a joint-heir with Jesus Christ, the very Son of God. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). God won’t be taking the flowers, the grass, the trees, the birds and the animals to Heaven; but He’ll be taking those who are living holy because He loves us more. The Lord would be glad to take us home today, but He needs us to stay here to win lost souls. He wants us to finish our perfect work for Him just as His Only Begotten did. Then on that great day, we’ll hear the cry of the Holy Spirit and the voice of God saying, “This is my beloved child in whom I am well pleased.”
God loves us so much that He sent the Holy Ghost to make intercession to the Father for us. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). Jesus Himself also makes intercession to the Father for us twenty-four hours a day. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34). How wonderful it is to have two in the Godhead to connect us to Heaven, to speak through us and to pray through us.
God offers us divinity, and we must have it because the flesh is too weak to live outside of Eden on its own. Heaven grieves when people walk after their own lusts and cling to the world. The Lord gave us power to come out of the world and to love Him more than anything else just like He loves us. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John 2:15).
Lean on Jesus
The Lord tells us to separate. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (II Corinthians 6:17,18). The Lord is crying, “I love you more, and I will guide you and direct you. I will walk the waters of the angry seas of life with you and bring peace to you again and again.” Our cry in return must be, “Take the whole world, but give me Jesus!”
God loves us so much that He won’t allow us to go through more than we’re able to take. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13). Turn your battles over to the Lord, and victory will be yours.
He cares for us so much that He told us to bring our burdens to Him. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:29,30). Learn to unload on Jesus. The Bible says, Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved (Psalm 55:22).
God and His Son love you more than you can ever imagine, and no man has any idea of what God has in store for those who love Him in return. Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (I Corinthians 2:9). The Lord is building a wonderful home for you; and because He loves you so much, He’s planned a way of escape from the Tribulation to come. There will be one flight out; and there’s room enough for everybody who will live pure, clean and holy. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:16,17).
Jesus Is Our Life
If you want to make it out of here, you will have to keep your first love. If you’ve lost it, you must get it back. God is drawing you to Himself and calling you to the prayer chamber so He can meet with you there. We must be running after Him and doing His will. Then we will know that divine joy and peace are ours and that we’re wise in the eyes of God. We will walk in the footsteps of Jesus, and those footprints of divine blood will lead us straight to Heaven.
Jesus brought us life. I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). Our life can’t be made up of dollars and cents or houses and lands; but for most people on Earth today, possessions are life to them. We who are born again realize that we didn’t have life until Jesus came into our hearts. Now, no matter what comes our way, we can face it like Jesus Himself because we have the same power He gave His disciples. Jesus did everything for us because He loves us more.
Love Is the Answer
If it had not been for God’s great love, He would have destroyed the entire human race in Noah’s day. He said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them (Genesis 6:7). But one voice got His attention. Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:8).
If God had allowed Noah’s family to have gotten into Eden, they would have been safe; but they couldn’t return, so they had to build the ark or they would be destroyed. It would take the love of God for them to be able to do it; and when that ark was finished, it was a love-ship. That ark was a type of our Ark that would come—Jesus. He is our Ark of love, grace, joy and peace. He is our Ark of salvation, our shining light and the joy of our lives. He is our everything, and we would be nothing without Him.
It only took one person—Noah—to contact God’s love; and just one voice can get God’s attention today. It can say, “God, I love you”; and He’ll answer, “I love you, too.” “Lord, I’ll do anything for you.” And He’ll echo back, “I’ll do anything for you, too. I will never forsake you, and I’ll be with you all the way; so trust me. There’s no life without me.”
Man and woman were made to be connected with God, and He never intended for them to be away from Him; but man separated himself from his God. However, God still loved us so much that He gave us His Holy Word so we could have His truth and His directions for getting to Heaven. We all can read that Word as often as we want to, but only love could have done that. It was love that came down from Heaven in the form of a little baby, and only love can take us back there.
Love is the answer for all of our problems, but there’s such a scarcity of it in the world today. People don’t want God’s love because it brings with it His holiness and righteousness. What a chance people take when they don’t accept God’s love. They could drop into hell at any moment; and many will today, tonight and tomorrow and be lost forever.
Hell was created for the devil and his angels, but the Bible tells us that it had to be enlarged. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure (Isaiah 5:14). Why?—because the human race has degraded themselves so much with the sins of the devil that hell had to be enlarged to accommodate all of them. Now it’s big enough for every soul who refuses to go to Heaven.
Rapture Ready
Those who go to Heaven before the Rapture can only get there through death, but we who are alive when Jesus comes will be changed in a twinkling of an eye. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).
Since the time when Adam and Eve sinned, just two people—Enoch and Elijah—have made it to Heaven without dying; but when Jesus returns there will be multitudes of children of God who will make it…and because God loves us more, there won’t be one baby or little child who has not yet learned good from evil left in the Tribulation Period. They’ll be changed and taken, and most of their parents will never see their little ones again. In some instances, it will be a husband or wife who will be missing; and the one who is left will never see their companion again because they will never get right.
Many people in the Tribulation Period will take the mark of the beast because they won’t be able to buy or sell without it. No man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (Revelation 13:17). However, once people take the mark of the beast, they will become like the devil himself; and God will hate them. There will never be any salvation for them.
Jesus’ divine blood was made available to all, and just one drop of that blood can wash away all the sins of the world if people will only look to Calvary. That’s divine love, and nothing but that love can lift people out of the devil’s darkness and the powers of hell.
No wonder we who are saved rejoice and praise God. We’re happy because we’re drinking from the wells of life, salvation and love. We must cry to the lost, “Hurry and get ready; Jesus is soon coming!” We’ll soon be moving up higher because God loves us more.
What Is Divine Love?
I Corinthians 13 gives us a definition of God’s love that you’ll never find in a dictionary. Charity [love] suffereth long (I Corinthians 13:4). Love has great patience, and it waits upon the Lord. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles (Isaiah 40:31). Love will lift you out of the valleys of despair and sickness and the deep valleys of mourning over the death of loved ones; but many people, including Christians, don’t have much divine love today. So many of them lose their patience and aren’t the examples to sinners that the Bible tells us we should be. But be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity (I Timothy 4:12).
Charity [love] envieth not (I Corinthians 13:4). Love has no jealousy; and the Bible says, Jealousy is cruel as the grave (Song of Solomon 8:6). Some people are jealous of what others have and do or of their talents. I’m never jealous or envious of anybody; I’m happy for the blessings and talents that God has given to others and to me. I’m humbly grateful for all that God gives and does.
Charity [love] vaunteth not itself (I Corinthians 13:4). Love has no ego because ego comes from the devil. It’s sad that many preachers and Christian workers have been destroyed through ego. While others are saying, “Look at who I am,” I’m saying, “Look at who Jesus is. He’s the great I-Am and the One who loves you.” Jesus is the One who brought all of this love to us, and He’s the One who loves us more than anything.
[Love] is not puffed up (I Corinthians 13:4). Being puffed up causes people to pout, and so many Christians do that. They may go for days without speaking to anyone in the home, but what kind of example is that? Jesus would never act like that, and love doesn’t act like that either. If you fuss and fight in your marriage, you don’t have Heaven’s love in your home.
Love Is Not about Self
[Love] doth not behave itself unseemly (I Corinthians 13:5). Love doesn’t act like the world, talk like the world, sing like the world or make music like the world. It doesn’t do anything that’s unkind, ugly or displeasing to God; and there’s plenty of divine love to go around.
[Love] seeketh not her own (I Corinthians 13:5). God’s love doesn’t say, “I’ll do what I want and go wherever I please.” I preached a sermon once in which I told the people, “You can do whatever you want to and go to hell if you want to. You can sin against God and have all the sex outside of marriage you want to; but hell is waiting for you, and the devil is anxious to push you in. If you disobey God and walk your own way, hell will be your only choice.” When people sin away their day of grace, there is no love left for them.
[Love] thinketh no evil (I Corinthians 13:5). Love doesn’t think evil, plan evil or say evil things. Love stays away from evil and away from the things of the world. [Love] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth (I Corinthians 13:6). God’s great love doesn’t rejoice in any kind of sin or in the things of the world; it rejoices only in truth, and we must be happy about that truth.
[Love] beareth all things (I Corinthians 13:7). Divine love endures all things.
Because Jesus loved us more, He carried that heavy Cross. Oh yes, He fell beneath the load; but He went on. He had been beaten almost to death, but He made it to Calvary because love gave Him strength. Then He made it possible for whosoever will to come and get that same love, to live in it and have the strength of it. That love healed people when Jesus was here on Earth; it gave the blind their sight, made the crippled to walk and even raised the dead.
Do you have divine love? If so, you have it made. Without that love, you are nothing. Though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing (I Corinthians 13:2,3). When you have divine love, you are somebody.
Persecuted for Christ’s Sake
Heaven will be worth any price we have to pay, and soon we’ll be there. We’ll have to go through persecutions, but the love of God will help us. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10). Some people will say they’re being persecuted for the Lord’s sake; but their troubles are really caused because they don’t use any wisdom or knowledge, because they open their big mouths and say things they shouldn’t say.
Make sure that when you’re persecuted, it’s for Christ’s sake, that people would be saying the same thing about Jesus and doing the same thing against Him as they’re doing to you. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake (Philippians 1:29). Only when you suffer for Christ will you be blessed because the Lord said He would deliver you. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all (Psalm 34:19).
We will have to suffer; but like the three Hebrew boys, we won’t be in the furnace long. Jesus was right there with them; and when we go into the furnace for Christ’s sake, Jesus will be with us, too. He loves us more, so He’ll never let us go into the furnace alone.
God was with Daniel in the lions’ den. He was there in the form of an angel who gave those lions lockjaw. Daniel slept just fine that night, but old King Nebuchadnezzar couldn’t sleep at all. When the sun rose, he was at the mouth of the lions’ den crying, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live forever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths (Daniel 6:20-22).
My wife, Angel, who is in Heaven today, once said to me, “Honey, I believe you enjoy persecution!” I was being persecuted so much at that time because I was building this great Jesus ministry, and the devil was mad; but I was glad because we were winning. Don’t let the devil make you cry. If you’re going to cry, do it because Jesus is moving for you and because you’re happy. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God wills for the devil to make us cry or that we should let hurt destroy us. If you feel like somebody has hurt you or abused you, look to Jesus. He loves you more, and He never has or will do anything bad to you.
Move On with God
When starting this great work for God, I liked the mountaintops; but there was always a deep valley to go through before I could get to the next mountaintop. In this last hour, we don’t have to go into a valley before every mountaintop. The Lord is skipping over the hills with us in gladness, and we’re sailing from one mountaintop to the next; so we have no reason to be unhappy.
The Lord wants you to enjoy His blessings so much that He’s made it possible for you to have an Eden in your heart with the nine fruits of the Spirit. We also have bread from Heaven. Jesus said, He that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever (John 6:57,58). Jesus came to serve.
It’s time to move with God, but you have to leave people behind and not let anybody hinder you. Rejoice in the Lord; and if some of those in your own house try to hinder you, just pray, fast and look to God. They’ll get so miserable that they won’t know what to do.
It’s time to move with God knowing that He’s protecting us with angels and all of the power of Heaven. God created the angels, but He loves us more than He loves the angels. God didn’t give His whole heart and Jesus didn’t die for the angels; they did it for you and me. When you go with God, He will go with you.
Do You Have Divine Love?
Nothing matters now but what you do for Jesus. Nobody has ever loved you or cared for you like He does. The Lord wants to share His great love with you; so take time to let Him love you, and you’ll be blessed. Many people are in trouble today because they won’t accept the Lord’s love, and they won’t let it show them the way to Calvary. No matter who you are, you can’t find your way to Calvary unless you accept divine love; but when you do, He will hand it to you free of charge.
The Lord told me one day that it took all the love He had to make a Calvary for us and that He had never used all of His love before or since. He had created man and woman and had done many wonderful things, but He had never used all of His love. Only when He made a Calvary for fallen humanity did the Lord use all of His love. God said that if people won’t accept Calvary, there’s no hope left for them.
God could have come down and destroyed the whole human race when Christ was crucified, but love kept Him from doing it. When God heard Jesus cry, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Matthew 27:46)? think how the Father must have felt and how He must have cried. Even the angels cried because they couldn’t help Him. He had been the brightest Jewel of Heaven but then to see Him so mistreated was almost more than they could bear.
Love will do for you what nothing else can do. It will make you perfect before God. Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). That means to be perfect in divine love. Love will give you life, even when death is right there. Love will take away the pain when it seems like you can’t stand another minute of it.
When I was so nigh unto death, it was love that stayed the hand of death and delivered me. Love gave me life and took every disease out of my body, and that miracle of love still lives in my body today. Love has given me strength and newness of life. It gives me strength so I can minister to people in my services for hours, and many times I don’t know the end of my strength. Why?—because God loves us more, and He gives us that divine love.
When God healed me, I didn’t care if I slept that night or not; I just wanted to go and tell people everywhere, “I’m going to live! I’m going to live!” I was just twenty-three years of age, and I had only been preaching since I was eighteen; and suddenly I knew I would be able to continue preaching the Gospel all over the world. Only love made such a great miracle possible.
That same love is taking us to the whole world, and that’s why we can go into nations where thousands are saved and healed in just moments of time. This is the pouring-out time, and I want to shout to the world that Jesus is coming! I want them to fall in love with Him because He’s their only hope. People don’t need the world’s entertainment, alcohol or drugs; they need to follow us, and we’ll show them how they can be really happy.
The End Is Near
Thank God this journey of darkness, despair, tears, pain, sickness and death is about to end. God never planned for man and woman to have any pain or sorrow, but look how people suffer. That’s not the will of God. Only divine love can cure people of sicknesses and diseases outside of Eden. It’s through God’s love that doctors can use nature to help us when we’re sick. There wouldn’t be any medicines or relief from pain if it weren’t for God’s love. Only love could have done it.
If God hadn’t loved us more, He would have given up on the human race long ago; but God does love us, and He’s not going to let us suffer much longer. It’s almost time to go home, and God has everything planned. Because He loves us more, He has given us His plan and told us the signs to look for just before His return. Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:4-8).
Accept His Love
Sinner, Backslider, He loves you more; and you can be delivered today. The rich man died, and in hell he lift up his eyes (Luke 16:23). That man didn’t have any love. He’d had plenty of money, but it didn’t save him from hell. Riches won’t save people from hell today either, yet people continue to sell their souls to the devil for silver and gold, for sex or to satisfy the lust of the flesh; but they’ll wake up one day like Adam and Eve did and have nothing but a handful of ashes.
God gave His whole heart when He gave His Son, Jesus, for us; and He has nothing more to give. If you will not accept that great sacrifice, hell will be your destiny. Don’t let that happen to you; say the sinners’ prayer right now. Oh, God, save my soul. I’m so sorry I sinned against you; but I have come home, and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!
If you meant that prayer, He has come; and He is yours. You have your passport to Heaven, and now you’re on the strait and narrow road that will lead you there. If you’ll pray, fast and live in the Word, you’ll make it. The Lamb who suffered, bled and died for you will walk with you all the way because He loves us more.
Receive a Miracle
He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus went to the whipping post for us, and the divine blood He spilled there healed me when I was just twenty-three. I had gone to the edge of the grave; and if it hadn’t been for the Lord, you’d have never heard of Ernest Angley. But Jesus came one night and made me completely whole, and He can do the same for you. I’m going to agree with you for your healing. I am just God’s believer and His humble servant, but He said His signs would follow the believers. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).
Lord, I come for those with death diseases—AIDS, cancer, leprosy, heart trouble. You’ve healed thousands of AIDS and many other afflictions, and I’m bringing the people to you today. We know that you are the Healer from Heaven and that you came with healing in your wings. Heal them of everything and bring every heart to normal. Little ones who were born with just part of a brain, give them a whole brain and make them normal. Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Heal!
Feel that power going through you now, and watch yourself and your little ones get well. If you believed, life is flowing; but always remember that you must live for the Lord. The Lord heals sinners; but He also said, “Go, and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14).” Yield to the Lord now and let Him know that you’ll give Him all the glory for your miracle by serving Him. He loves you and me more, and I love you and want to see you in Heaven.
Jesus is soon coming, and there’s just one flight out. We who are obedient will be changed and will meet our precious Jesus in the air. I’ll see you in the Rapture!
