The Lord needs the Bride to do so much in this final hour, but she’ll never be able to be or do all He wants unless she has hands to uphold, hands like the ones that held up Moses’ hands when the Israelites were fighting Amalek and his people. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword (Exodus 17:11-13).

Israel was winning as long as Moses’ hands were lifted up; but when he got tired and took them down, Israel would start to lose. Aaron and Hur then became hand upholders when they sat on each side of Moses and held up his hands for the rest of the day. I’m sure they got tired; but thank God they never quit, and Israel won the battle.

The Word of God includes many stories of men and women who held up the hands of others for the Lord, and we must learn from them. Isaiah the prophet’s hands went up for King Hezekiah when God was planning to take the king home. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live (Isaiah 38:1).

Hezekiah didn’t want to die; he wanted to stay and help his people, so Isaiah held up the king’s hands before the Lord, and God gave Hezekiah fifteen more years. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years (Isaiah 38:4,5).

Elijah Defeats the Prophets of Baal

Elijah held up the hands of the Israelite people and delivered them from false gods and Baal worship. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken (I Kings 18:21-24).

The prophets of Baal cried out to their god all day long and even cut themselves, but nothing happened. Then Elijah prepared his sacrifice and poured water over it four times. He finished by saying a simple prayer of just 63 words, and God moved.

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there (I Kings 18:36-40). Elijah was holding up the people’s hands even though he didn’t think there were any hands left to be held up. He thought everybody had kissed the mouth of Baal.

God Cares

After this great slaughter, the devil went after Elijah. And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers (I Kings 19:1-4).

Elijah wanted God to kill him and take him home, but that would have been such a shame because the Lord still had great works for Elijah to do. Have you ever been under the juniper tree like Elijah was? You have to shun that tree or you’ll be full of despair, discouragement, oppression and depression.

You must always beware of the devil because he’ll discourage you and make you think that nobody cares about you, not even God; but the Lord showed Elijah that He did care when He sent an angel to minister to him. Elijah was very tired from killing 450 prophets of Baal, and he had smelled the stench of blood for so many hours that he was sick to his stomach; so when the angel arrived, he found Elijah asleep.

And as he [Elijah] lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God (I Kings 19:5-8).

The angel prepared a good, hot meal for Elijah and woke him up so he could eat it. He let Elijah go back to sleep and later cooked another hot meal for him. Those two meals kept Elijah going strong on his journey for forty days. Some have said he was fasting during that time, but I believe he was living on heavenly food; and one day, I’d like to know what was in those meals.

Keep Your Eyes on God

I had a sample of what Elijah experienced many years ago as the Holy Ghost took me over and taught me hour after hour. I wasn’t fasting, but God was with me in such a mighty way at that time that I didn’t need food; and I slept very little because I was living and dining on the Spirit of God. The Father knows that our bodies and minds can only take so much, so He would let me sleep for a half hour or an hour. Then He’d wake me up again as gently as you’d wake a little child and continue teaching me.

During that time, the Lord actually walked with me as He showed me things to come and told me of the greatness of this hour we’re now in. Since then, I have been on my way to this hour; and I’m glad I’ve finally arrived.

At the end of Elijah’s journey, Elisha was there to hold up his hands. Elisha stayed right with him, knowing without a doubt that Elijah was going to be raptured. The sons of the prophets tried to discourage Elisha saying, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace (II Kings 2:5); but Elisha didn’t pay any attention to them.

Elisha was there when Elijah used his mantle to strike the waters of Jordan, and he watched as those waters separated to the left and right. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground (II Kings 2:8).

After they had gone across, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so (II Kings 2:9,10). Elisha was determined not to let Elijah out of his sight; so he was there when God took Elijah home, and he did receive the mantle. When you’re a hand upholder, you will receive the blessings of God.

You Need Power from On High

The disciples saw Jesus when He ascended to Heaven, and He told them not to start the Church until they had returned to Jerusalem and received power from On High. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).

That power from On High was the Holy Ghost, and Jesus told them that the Holy Ghost was the Spirit of truth who would live and dwell in them and never leave them. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13). The Holy Ghost was going to teach them the truth and be their comforter and guide. It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 16:7).

If you don’t have the Holy Ghost baptism, you’re living beneath your privilege; and you’re missing out on a big part of the spiritual life God planned for you to have. In the beginning, it was a must for everyone who got saved to go right on and get the Holy Ghost baptism; and still today, everybody needs the Holy Ghost.

When Cornelius’ household came into salvation, an angel visited him and told him to send for Peter that they might be filled with the Holy Ghost. While Peter yet spake…the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God (Acts 10:44-46).

The Lord said He’d give the Holy Ghost to all who obey Him. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32). Some people are just not hungry enough. Jesus said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Anyone can have the Holy Ghost who really wants Him, and no one will make the Rapture without Him.

Some preachers declare I preach false doctrine, but I preach thus saith the Lord. God has told me three different times that those who are alive when Jesus comes must have the Holy Ghost baptism to be changed in a twinkling of an eye. God said it; I believe it, and that settles it!

Receive the Real Holy Ghost

The harvest is great, and God is moving fast in this hour. People all over the world are getting the real Holy Ghost through this Jesus ministry. I say the real Holy Ghost because I don’t believe in speaking in tongues at will, and people who do that are making a mockery out of the Holy Ghost. They’ll gather together and supposedly sing in tongues; but it’s not the Holy Ghost speaking, and it grieves the Spirit.

God told me that some people start out in the flesh, and then the devil takes over. The devil actually speaks through them, and they claim it’s the Holy Ghost. Some even prophesy at will, and that’s awful! If people would really seek God in prayer and fasting, they wouldn’t take part in such things because they’d have wisdom and knowledge from God.

On the day of Pentecost, the Bible says, They were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). The Holy Ghost is the one who does the talking, and He can speak in any language under the sun. It’s hard to tell how many tongues and dialects He has spoken through this humble servant of God or sung through me in my private prayer closet.

One time, I preached an entire sermon in Hebrew even though I had never studied it; but a person who understood Hebrew was in that service and couldn’t wait to tell me about it. It had such an impact on the people in the congregation that day—both saints and sinners—that nearly all of the people were crying out to God at the altar. It was a fearful time for those people, and it was something to behold. I had no idea it was going to happen, and I didn’t even know what tongue I was preaching in. I knew it wasn’t English, but I was so caught up with the Lord that it didn’t make any difference. Whatever God wants is all right with me.

I treasure the Holy Ghost, and I’ve been privileged to see Him outside of the body. I didn’t know what I was seeing at first, but it was just as real as if I had been looking at a person. I stood on the platform before a crowd of thousands in an overseas crusade; and above the rivers of glory that covered the people, I saw this strange-looking form that would go down into the rivers and disappear. Then it would come up with devils and take them away, probably to dump them into hell ahead of their time.

Victory over the Devil

Jesus’ ministry went into action after He had received the Holy Ghost. As very God, He didn’t need the Holy Ghost; but as very man, He was our example, so it was a must for Him to receive the Holy Ghost. After that, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness where He fasted for forty days and nights. The devil showed up to torment Him, and he did everything he could to get Jesus to bow down to him; but Jesus wouldn’t do it. Jesus used the Word on him, and He showed us how to do it, too.

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:1-10).

The Power of the Word

If you want to make it in this final hour, you’ll have to give the devil the Word just as Jesus did. To carry the Jesus ministry in your heart, you must have the Word of God there in perfection. Then the Lord said we’d trample devils underfoot. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). James tells us to resist the devil. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We don’t have to fear the devil.

After Jesus’ great victory over the devil, He went forth to heal the sick and make the blind to see. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth…he [Jesus]spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:1,6,7). Jesus showed those people that He was the Healer and the Creator.

Jesus went forth to the sick and afflicted, and He healed the crippled and raised the dead. When people saw the miracles, they believed. Now when he [Jesus] was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did (John 2:23).

We’re in the Latter Rain

When Jesus was here, He held up people with nail-riven hands of great love, grace and power. He held them up before the Father for them to receive great miracles, healings and born-again experiences. In this last hour, God is looking for the same kind of hand upholders—people who will hold up the hands of those who are going to the mission fields and winning the lost. If you hold up their hands, you’ll be a part of all the souls they win.

What kind of hands do you have? Do you have hands that uphold good things and hold fast to them? Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

Do your hands hold up people to get miracles? People with great needs come to Grace Cathedral from all over the world, and I’m here to hold them up. I also encourage those in my congregation to always have hands that will hold up people in the presence of God. We lift them up; and the blind cry, “I can see!” We lift them up, and those who are paralyzed are made whole right before our eyes. When we travel overseas, we see thousands of miracles; and we sow and reap in moments of time.

The Gentile dispensation is about to close, and we’re now in the pouring-out time of the latter rain. The Early Church had the early rain, but the Lord said the latter rain would be greater…and it is. In the Bible, the greatest number of people recorded to have received the Holy Ghost at any one time was around 120; but this ministry has had over 60,000 receive Him in just one crusade. The people were numbered by God Himself, and God had said it would happen. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:16,17).

God Is Pouring Out Miracles

The Lord pours out His Spirit in the services of this Jesus ministry again and again. He’ll number the miracles that are about to take place and even give me the names or initials of people and tell me things about them that they realize I couldn’t possibly have known on my own. I don’t claim to understand it; I just know that it’s God, and it works. In every service, the angel of the Lord stands beside me as tall as a man and directs me. I never pray for people in any healing line without the angel being by my side.

The Lord takes me into one vision after another, and He takes me inside people’s bodies and souls so I can actually see God at work. I see people being healed as their diseases depart and melt away. I see the miracle star of Jesus, and it’s such an unusual star that no human mind could ever have thought it up. That star appears in the visions God gives me of people, and it appears so dark in the bodies of those who are close to death from cancer or some other deadly disease. Then I’ll watch that disease as it melts in the presence of the mighty power of God, and the miracle star moves to take it all away.

It’s wonderful indeed to see people standing before me who are paralyzed one moment and delivered and set free the next. That’s exactly what happened to one of the governors in a country where we were holding a crusade. He was paralyzed on his right side and in a pitiful condition, and the Lord made him whole as he stood before me. Later in that crusade, he came back to testify before thousands of his people. He then brought his wife, who was also paralyzed, to one of the services; and God made her whole, too.

It’s miraculous in this hour what God is doing with clay that is yielded to Him, clay that goes to the Potter’s house and becomes so humble in the Potter’s hands that the Lord makes it into a vessel of honor He can use to serve miracles, healings, salvation and Heaven’s best. We can dine on the Holy Spirit and the things of God because those nail-riven hands came to hold up you and me.

Jesus Raised the Dead

Jesus showed us how to be hand upholders. When He was on Earth, He became very close to Lazarus and his two sisters, Mary and Martha. He would stay in their home when He was in Bethany because He knew He was greatly loved and always welcome there. Then suddenly, Lazarus was dying, and Mary and Martha sent for Jesus; but He didn’t come. Lazarus died, and Jesus still didn’t come; so they placed Lazarus’ body in a sepulcher and went home to mourn.

Four days later, Jesus finally came. As soon as she [Mary] heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled (John 11:29,32,33).

Jesus really loved Lazarus and his sisters, and He knew He wasn’t too late. They took Jesus to the tomb; and He commanded, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God (John 11:39,40)?

Jesus knew they were about to witness a great miracle, and He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth (John 11:43,44).

Modern-Day Miracles

Those same hands can heal you today, so why do you doubt them? I see those hands work for people; and I give them all the praise, honor and glory. I don’t see my hands; I see the Jesus hands, and those hands are moving.

In a recent crusade, a paralyzed fourteen-year-old boy was brought to a service and was sitting in the invalid section. In the middle of my sermon, the Lord moved on me to turn to that section and tell the crippled people sitting there to get up and walk; it was time for them to come out of the conditions they were in. That boy believed, and he leaped to his feet. The next day, he came to the platform to testify; and he was so excited that I didn’t know when he’d ever stop talking. He had been carried into the service, but no one had to carry him out.

I remember a three-year-old boy in another crusade whose mother was holding him tightly. I prayed for him and said, “Come with me.” The mother said, “He can’t walk; he’s crippled.” I said, “He can walk now.” Then the little fellow reached out to take my hand, and we went walking. I took him up on the platform before thousands of people, and they cheered while he walked across it like a little soldier. He had been made whole.

I remember yet another young eight-year-old boy who had been crippled from his birth. His daddy had carried him in; but after I had prayed for the boy, his daddy wouldn’t let him go. He still didn’t think he could walk; so I said, “Let him go.” The boy then broke away; and when he discovered he could walk, he began running and jumping and having a great time. He was free, thank God Almighty!

Be a Witness

We must have hands that uphold and bring people to Jesus. We have to tell them about the Healer who came with healing in His wings and who is still here today. The Lord needs witnesses, and the Bible says He’s searching for people He can perform great miracles on who will be witnesses for Him in this final hour. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (II Chronicles 16:9).

Will you be a witness or a doubter? I’m a witness because I’m a believer. I went to the edge of the grave when I was just twenty-three. I thought I was dying, and I was getting worse every day. It’s awful to watch your body go down to about a skeleton, and your flesh just seems to be melting away. I was in such agony that I felt I couldn’t stand it for one more moment, and I didn’t know why the Lord would let me die when I wanted to live! I had just started preaching at eighteen, and I wanted to tell the world about Jesus. Then one night, Jesus came and made me completely whole. Praise God! I was going to live!

The Lord healed me all over, and He’s making people whole today; but some of you will ask God for just one thing at a time. If you’ll search the pages of the Holy Bible, you’ll see that when Jesus was on Earth, He healed people of everything. I still carry my miracle today, and that’s why I have so much strength. Miracles bring you good health. They make you strong, and they last like God Himself; but you can doubt God’s blessings right out of your life. I make no room for doubt, and neither should you.

I seek to use every one of God’s promises I need to help people who are waiting for a miracle. People think they’re coming to see Ernest Angley, but I pass them right into God’s hands. I leave them under the blood of Jesus that was spilled on Calvary for them, and that blood takes care of everything in their bodies and makes them well. Then I close their cases like the woman with the issue of blood did when she said, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole (Matthew 9:21). I’m sure she had watched Jesus heal others, and she had no doubt that she would be healed, too.

You have to believe just as the Bible says. Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord (James 1:6,7). If you let your faith waver, you won’t receive anything from the Lord. Doubt is one of your worst enemies; and it brings about only fear, frustration and despair.

Sent of God

I bring people to Jesus because I’m a servant of God. The Lord gifted me with preaching, and I was having great revivals even before I attended a theological school. I’m a Holy Ghost preacher, and I preach through the power and the anointing of God. I seek to preach with the same simplicity that Jesus did, and I love to teach and preach. I love to reach out with anointed hands and lift people up into those nail-riven, healing hands. When you lift people up into the arms of Jesus, they have it made; and you have given them a new life.

God needs all of His children. It’s the will of the Lord for us to live and be well and to be busy helping people. Jesus said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4). We’ve been sent of God; and we must do His works, which are all miraculous. People who don’t believe in miracles don’t believe in God the Father, the Son or the Holy Ghost. They can’t possibly believe in divinity because all divinity is miraculous.

I use divine love to help people receive their miracles. I hold them up to Jesus and cover them with divine love, divine faith and divine peace. When I pray for the heathen on the mission field and those who are ignorant in the ways of the Lord, God will let me use all faith for thousands of people at a time; and it’s so simple for them to receive whatever they need, including miracles for AIDS. It’s marvelous! But for those of you who have been taught the truth, God expects you to also use the faith He has given to you.

Sin No More

The Lord is ready to heal any sickness or disease, and He’s ready to deliver people; but we must hold up their hands. People who are dying are brought to me, and God heals them. Jesus healed a man who hadn’t walked in thirty-eight years; but then He said, Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). I warn people about all kinds of sin, including smoking. Some people are healed of cancer; but I tell them the cancer will return if they keep smoking, and sure enough, it does.

No one can be a hand upholder without living free from sin. The Word of God tells us over and over, Ye must be born again (John 3:7); and when you’re truly born new, you’ll stop all of your sinning. It’s sad that most churches today don’t believe that, and their preachers teach that nobody can live free from sin; but if that were true, there would be no one in God’s Heaven.

The devil and all the fallen angels who sinned were cast out of Heaven, and Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden for committing only one sin. They ate from the forbidden tree and destroyed everything, so a handful of ashes is all that any of us had when we got to Calvary. We had nothing that would take us to Heaven; but when we gave our hearts to Jesus, we found everything. We traded our ashes for beauty. To give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).

Divine Power Delivers

As vessels of beauty, we are to have hands like Jesus had. When He was here, the disciples didn’t have those hands except for one time when the Lord gave them His power and sent them out. Jesus called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere (Luke 9:1,2,6).

Next, He sent seventy laymen out two by two. After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name (Luke 10:1,17).

Jesus had given the disciples and the laymen His anointing, but they couldn’t keep it at that time. Jesus told them, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21); and they didn’t have the power they needed until they had received the Holy Ghost baptism.

This miracle kind goeth forth by prayer and fasting, and there’s power in Bible fasting. With that power from On High, the Bible says, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). When I touch people through the power of God, it’s the same as Jesus touching them. When Jesus touches them, it’s the same as the Father touching them; and when the Father touches them, it is done.

Give God the Glory

Jesus came to Earth with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). I take people under those miraculous wings of love, grace and power; and they’re made well. But Jesus heals people to glorify Himself, and they must give Him all the glory. In all my years of ministering to people, I’ve never taken one speck of God’s glory. I delight in His glory, and I can see it just as you can see a cloud in the sky.

It’s something to see the cloud of God’s presence, the power of the Holy Ghost. It’s no doubt the same kind of glory cloud that Peter, James and John saw on the mount of Transfiguration when Christ was transformed before them. Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light (Matthew 17:1,2).

At Grace Cathedral, we glorify the Lord; and we see great miracles every weekend. One lady in the congregation had both of her knees re-created, and another lady born with no hipbone on one side was made whole. When I touched her, she fell in the Spirit; and when she came to, behold, she had a hipbone. That’s what God can do.

Yet another woman had cataracts so bad that she was going to have to stop driving at night. I cursed those cataracts with the blood of Jesus; and when she returned to her seat, she soon felt something on her cheek. When she reached up, she found it was a cataract. A short while later, she felt the other cataract fall out on her other cheek. God is so wonderful! In all faith, I offer those who are blind, crippled or in any kind of awful condition up to Jesus.

I believe in good doctors and medicine, and there are doctors who send their patients to me. They’ve seen the work that God does, and they’re honest-hearted enough to admit that His miracles are real. Some will even tell me that they always pray before surgery, and that’s the kind of doctor to have—one who believes in miracles.

One doctor brought eight patients to me from her clinic in North Carolina. Why?—because she had received a miracle herself, and she knew it was real. She had a wound on her leg that would not heal. We were on an airplane on our way to the Holy Land when I prayed for her, and then I told her to lie down and rest. When she woke up, the hole in her leg had completely filled in; God had done it! Later, she brought her mother, who had cancer, all the way from another nation; and she was miraculously healed. God’s miracles are real!

Faith or Doubt?

Are you a Jesus hand upholder? Do you really bring people to Him for miracles or do you talk about doubt, about why you can’t get your miracle or about why God doesn’t answer your prayers? Do you really know Jesus? Paul knew Him, and he knew the Lord would take care of everything. For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day (II Timothy 1:12).

Paul didn’t doubt God, but many people do. Some will come to me for prayer when all they really want is a touch. The Bible says, As many as touched him were made whole (Mark 6:56). People touched Jesus and were healed; but if you don’t believe you’re going to be healed, why bother going before a man of God and asking for prayer? If you’re not going to accept truth, power and a miracle, you’re just wasting your time; but you can change. Promise God that you will believe and receive saying, “When a true man of God holds me up to Jesus, I know I’ll be healed.”

Are you ready to meet faith with faith? For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Too many of God’s people go from faith to doubt or from faith to weakness instead of strength. I go from faith to faith and from faith to divine love, divine grace, divine healing and divine help. If you’ll do this and use divinity to be a real hand upholder, the Lord will be pleased with you.

When John the Baptist was about to baptize Jesus in the Jordan River, God spoke and said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17). Could God say that about you today? Are you a real son or daughter of God? If you’ve been made new through the blood of the Son of God, then don’t let the devil make you doubt that you’re in the family of God.

Just Like Jesus

You have to learn Jesus if you want to be free. He said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Jesus also said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). I’ve traced the steps of Jesus over and over, and I will never learn all there is to know about Him.

I have carefully combed through the Sermon on the Mount many times; and each time, I find something new and different. It’s the greatest message that’s ever been preached, and there will never be one to equal it. In that sermon, Jesus gave us everything we could ever need from the cradle to the grave; and He said, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). That’s what salvation is all about.

We have to be just like Jesus, and that’s what I seek to be. I seek to do His holy works, not mine, through prayer, fasting and living in the Word. Jesus fasted, and I used to think that He fasted for forty days only one time; but I don’t believe that anymore. The Lord has called me on many forty-day fasts in addition to twenty-one-day fasts and other shorter ones. Forty days is a long time to go without eating, but the Lord has taught me how to fast; and He said, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Those are wonderful words!

On a real Bible fast, you lay things aside and make the fast sacred and holy as you seek the face of the Almighty. You will get hungry and weak; but as you dine on the Word, it will give you such strength and power. You should spend time seeking to know more about the blood, more about the Gospel and more about the ways of the Holy Ghost.

Many preachers aren’t willing to sacrifice and pay the price in prayers and fastings. You can’t have a life of your own. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). I want to be able to say that every day.

The Lord has used the Apostle Paul as a great example to bring me to where I am today because I never thought myself worthy to have any of God’s gifts. I never would have asked God for even one of the nine gifts of the Spirit; but He showed me that Paul said he had been the chief of sinners, and I knew I had never been that bad. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15).

The Gift of Discerning

The Bible is living reality to me, and it must be like that to you, too. The Lord wants us to understand Him and His ways. I want to know everything I can about the powers of God and about being a real servant of the Lord. I promised God the night He saved me that I would do anything for Him, and I’ve never backed down. After He had given me the gifts of healing, I told Him that if He would give me the gift of discerning of spirits, I would uncover the devil at any cost. But at that time, I didn’t realize what I was saying.

Receiving the gift of discerning almost took my life. It’s something when you can look into a soul just as clearly as if you were looking at the palm of your hand and actually see the devils that are in there. Their eyes glare like the devil’s eyes, and they have ears and a nose like him. If the Lord ever allows you to see inside of a soul that’s full of demonic spirits, you’ll never forget it! I might not have lived over ninety days if God hadn’t taken away some of the compassion I felt for those who were tormented by or possessed with demons.

People will come into the prayer line and tell me they’re saved when I know they’re not. If God doesn’t move on me, I just let some of them go on as they are because I know they don’t want God. They have a lying tongue, and there’s nothing but darkness in them. Some souls look like old, rotted stumps that have been eaten up by worms and bugs.

Believe me when I say you don’t want the gift of discerning. People have claimed to have it, but the Lord told me that it is the most delicate one of His gifts. I have to be able to discern the Spirit of God, the spirit of man, and the spirit of the devil and be able to separate the spirits. The Lord told me that if I didn’t understand any different or strange manifestations taking place in my services, I wasn’t to ask anyone about them but Him. He would explain and uncover those spirits.

I came face-to-face with the devil one time; but at first, I thought I was seeing an unusual angel. It looked like a beautiful light coming toward me; but when it got just inches from me, through the gift of discerning, the Lord uncovered it. I was shocked and gasped for breath when I saw that it was Lucifer himself! I had never expected to see him and never wanted to, but I had to learn the kingdom of the devil.

We’re Not Our Own

If you’re a true believer, you will have signs, wonders, miracles and healings; but I never take any of the credit for any of God’s works. Nobody knows more than I do where this power comes from. It’s the Lord’s power, and no one can buy this power for millions or even billions of dollars; but I must please the Lord all the time for this power to work. I take a new anointing from Him for every service; and some of the anointings during my overseas crusades will be so great that it may take weeks after I get home before all of the anointing leaves me. God’s anointings surge through me day and night to give me strength for the journey and knowledge and wisdom to help more people.

I wouldn’t want to preach, teach or even live without the anointings of God. I want the Lord to think through my mind, and He does use my mind just like the real Holy Ghost uses people’s tongues. He lets me know just what He’s thinking.

I’m not my own, and you’re not to be your own either; we’ve been bought with a price. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:19,20).

Some people make too many of their own plans, but I don’t make plans for Ernest Angley. I always take the plan of God, whatever it may be. I never planned to pastor a church, but the Lord told me I was to come to Akron, Ohio and build a work for Him. I thought I’d be here for just a year or two and then turn the work over to somebody else while my wife, Angel, and I would go on to the world with the Gospel; but God had other plans. Angel is now with the Lord; and more than fifty years later, I’m still the pastor and evangelist at Grace Cathedral…and we’re taking Jesus to the world.

The coming of the Lord is so very nigh, and the only thing left for us to do is bring in the rest of the harvest. We’re going to bring in millions in this final hour, and it’s hard to tell how many thousands we’re already bringing in every week. It’s something to behold how this ministry has escalated into the mighty realm of greatness that God told me about. He is mighty indeed!

The Day of Grace Will End

This is the final hour, and you must be following the Lord. I’ve already been in this last hour in a vision. I was going through crowds of people, preaching and holding my Bible; and it seemed like my voice was sounding over a great loudspeaker to those mighty multitudes. There were so many people that you couldn’t see the end of them no matter what direction you looked. I was crying in a loud voice as if it was going all over the world, “Come to Jesus! Come to Jesus! Come…” Suddenly, the words died in my throat; and I couldn’t speak anymore.

Then the Lord took over and told the people, “I don’t want you, and I never will want you again! You’ll cry and pray, but I won’t hear you. I did want you; my Son even died for you, but you didn’t want Him, and you still don’t. Now, I don’t want you.” I’ve cried many times over that vision.

It’s horrible for anyone to die and go to hell, but that’s exactly where those who blaspheme against the Holy Ghost will find themselves. In one of my overseas crusades, some of the so-called preachers were in witchcraft; and I begged them to come out of it. I did everything I could; but ten of them blasphemed against the Holy Ghost, and God numbered them. It’s the only time I have ever felt the flames of hell as I cried for God to help people. The whole place was in an uproar of prayer and crying out to God as I pleaded for those preachers. I could feel the heat of hell just as if the fire was coming up around me; but they still walked away and blasphemed against the Holy Ghost, never to be touched by God again. That was an awful experience.

No Time to Fail

Are you truly a hand upholder who is pleasing the Lord? I don’t seek to please people; I seek to please God, and I know that when I please Him, the people who are right with God will be pleased with the Gospel I preach. I don’t compromise with man, woman or devil; I follow the Word. I’ll even give my life for the Word, little by little or all at one time.

When you’re a hand upholder, God will be with you; but when you make God promises of any kind, you must keep them. I don’t make God promises and not keep them. He said it’s better to not make a covenant with Him at all than it is to make one and break it. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay (Ecclesiastes 5:4,5).

When you tell God something, stand by it no matter what and never compromise. This is no time to play church; you have to be for real. You’re going to be tried like you’ve never been tried before, saith the Lord. The devil will do his best to turn you back; but remember that Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. But his [Lot’s] wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). Don’t look back, and don’t let the devil fool you and deceive you.

You Must Be Saved

If you’re not pleasing the Lord today, you must come to Him. Don’t you want to go to Heaven? The only way you’ll ever get there is by being saved, washed in the blood of the Lamb and made brand new. Then you can be a true hand upholder and please God.

Don’t wait any longer. Say this prayer right now and give your heart to the Lord: Oh, God, I’m so sorry that I sinned against you. Lord, you said if I’d confess my sins, you would forgive me and that your blood would cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Oh, God, I confess that I have sinned against Heaven, against God and against Jesus Christ. I have sinned against the Spirit of the Lord and rejected Him, and I’m so sorry, Lord. I confess my sins with godly sorrow and ask that you please forgive me. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins! Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in and make me just like Jesus!

If you meant that prayer, He is all yours; and you’ll never be the same. Put on the shoes of Jesus, walk and talk like Him and live in the Word of God. You must be just like Jesus now, and you must go on and receive the Holy Ghost baptism.

You Can Be Healed

Now, you can have a miracle. Maybe you have AIDS, cancer, heart trouble, diabetes or leprosy. God heals all kinds of cases, and it’s time for you to be healed all over. The Lord said that He would bless you and even renew your youth. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:2,5).

Lord, help the people to believe for themselves and for their whole families to be healed. I curse the AIDS, diabetes, cancer, migraine headaches, heart trouble, lung trouble and strokes. Lord, heal the little, deformed children. You’ve already healed so many of them who the doctors said would never walk, and they’re walking today. Others had just part of a brain, and you gave them a whole brain. Heal! in the all-powerful, blood-name of Jesus. Heal!

Feel His power going into you now. It will get you well, but you have to give God all the glory for your miracle. The Lord is the one who heals you, and you can be healed even if you’re thousands of miles from where I’m praying. Be thou made whole just like I was, and then write and tell me what you have received so I can rejoice with you.

Those of you who are healed of AIDS, get your case documented and send it in. We’re taking those documents with us to the different nations throughout the world to prove what God can do. We want people to know that our God is real!

I love you, and God loves you; and may God bless you to be hand upholders. Remember that God told Abraham, I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). First, we must be blessed by God before we can bless others with His mighty power of love and greatness. I’ll see you in the Rapture!
