Grace and Truth

Saint John’s Gospel is a wonderful book of love. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Notice the words grace and truth; there isn’t anything in the world to compare to the grace and truth of God. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:16,17). Jesus brought grace and truth.
Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). In grace you find all the help needed, all needs supplied. Grace incorporates the greatness, love, peace, happiness and plans of God for you for time and eternity.
The apostle Paul was told by Jesus Christ, My grace is sufficient for thee (II Corinthians 12:9). In other words, grace contains more than everything you need. Your miracle, your healing, are found in the word grace. In grace, you have all the favor of God; it’s yours. In grace, God loves you with an everlasting love, an unending love…grace, wonderful, wonderful grace!
The Answer of a Clear Conscience
From grace comes the born-again experience: salvation. Grace does not take you to water baptism first; grace takes you to salvation and then to water baptism. It isn’t water baptism that washes away your sins; it’s grace that makes you a partaker of the blood of the Son of God that was spilled on Calvary, the blood that washes away all sins when you become born again.
Water baptism is the answer of a clear conscience toward God. We’re buried with Him in water baptism; then we come forth symbolizing the Resurrection of the Son of God—and for us, a resurrection from sin. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead (Colossians 2:12). Through the divine blood we are resurrected into the life of Jesus—from grace to grace, from grace to all liberty in the Lord, from grace to the joy of the Lord.
Salvation Does Not Come by Works
Some people go from grace to works, thinking they must have works to ensure their salvation. No, salvation comes through grace exclusively. By grace are you saved, the Bible tells us: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). By grace you receive wonderful, eternal salvation.
In grace you find the favor of God, and after you are set free from your sins, you want to work for the Lord. Although you do works for Him, you do not receive salvation through works.
From Grace to Forgiveness, Peace and Love
There are Christians who don’t seem to have much joy; they’ve gone from grace to trouble, from grace to despair, from grace to discouragement, from grace to weakness. Don’t do that. Go from grace to joy, to God’s divine peace and love, not to grudges, resentment, envy, strife—no, a thousand times no! Go from grace to forgiveness, Heaven’s forgiveness, divine forgiveness. The Lord gives us the spirit to forgive.
Forgiveness is one of the teachings in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus said, For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). Because Jesus brought grace and truth, the Sermon on the Mount was preached. Had Jesus not brought grace, you could never accept God’s truth, never come boldly before the throne. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Grace brings you before the throne of God. Had Jesus not brought grace, man and woman could never live up to the Sermon on the Mount; but with grace everyone can.
Be Ye Perfect
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). How can you be perfect? You can be perfect in God’s love. From grace you can go to God’s great love in perfection.
It’s wonderful to know that we have the grace of God to carry us into all the will of God. We can go from grace to great spiritual sight. We don’t go from grace to blindness, but from grace to seeing. God doesn’t take us from grace to spiritual deafness, but from grace to hear what the Spirit is saying. Oh, how wonderful is the grace that Jesus brought!
Jesus could have been loaded down with all the jewels of Heaven; He could have brought chunks of gold and bars of silver, but it wouldn’t have counted, it wouldn’t have compared to what He did bring. There’s nothing like it—grace, grace and truth.
The Veil Was Rent
The Old Testament Israelites didn’t have this grace that we have today because Jesus had not yet come. Even on the Day of Atonement, the greatest day of the year, the Israelites in bondage stood outside the tabernacle. But when Jesus brought grace, the veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom signifying that God had come down within reach of man. Grace did it. Grace destroyed that awful wall separating man from his God.
Today we don’t need to go from grace to bondage; we can move from grace to stand in the liberties and the freedoms of the Lord, in the liberties of Christ Jesus. Live and dine in grace that brings you into God.
Oh, that the Israelites could have had such favor! But it took Calvary to bring this favor; it took grace blood. Grace blood gave us a born-new experience, made us brand-new creatures free to go in before the throne of grace anytime twenty-four hours around the clock. Grace brought salvation within our reach, divine grace blood, the great favor of God upon us. Come boldly, He said, and you’ll find help in time of need.
Tell the Lord Your Whole Heart
God has made Himself available to you, so available that prayer will not be a burden when you view it through the eyes of grace. Seeing prayer through the eyes of grace is a different look altogether. By grace you can come into His presence anytime; you have freedom in Him, freedom to talk to Him, freedom to call Heaven. Father, in the name of Jesus I come, you say; and He’s ready to listen to you. Right in His very presence you can tell the Lord your whole heart.
All because of the grace that Jesus brought we can tell Him what we want, tell Him of our needs, our love for Him. We can tell Him that we want to do all His will, that we want to work for Him and please Him. For the Lord to come down to walk and talk with us as He walked and talked with the first Adam and Eve is absolutely thrilling. How wonderful to know that the Lord enjoys us every bit as much as He enjoyed man in Eden before the fall from grace.
Grace Means Freedom from Sin
Leaving grace is to go into disgrace. Leaving grace is moving into the hands of the devil, into the filth and the degradation of sin. Never leave grace. Keep grace in your spirit, in your life, for it’s from grace that the promises of God are fulfilled. Grace takes you right into fulfilled promises.
Grace, remember, is the favor of God: The LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). The grace that Jesus brought enables you to be a real servant of the Lord, a holy servant who can lift up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (I Timothy 2:8). Never go from grace to sin, not even from grace to a little bit of sin. No, grace never leads to sin. Leave sin behind in grace and live a sinless life, a grace life.
The grace life is freedom from all sin, all devil bondage. Sin is devil bondage. How could you be a child of God and have devil bondage in your soul? It’s impossible. By grace you’re saved, delivered, set free and made new. By grace you’re molded into the image of your God, into His likeness to walk like Him, talk like Him, and to be like Him. By grace you’re made a son or a daughter of God—and isn’t that marvelous! By grace you’re in the wonderful family of God today, a member of His family, bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. For we are members of his [Jesus’] body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).
God Favors Those Who Trust Him
By grace—the wonderful favor of God—Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). By grace the blind received their sight, the deaf heard and the dumb spoke; it all came about because of the favor of God. The Lord will favor those who put their trust in Him, who delight in Him and honor His Son.
Through grace God gave His Only Begotten Son as the sacrificial lamb for us; by grace He did it—the offering of all offerings. Only by grace, only by love that favored you so much did God let Jesus die for you. What a march of grace it was that made its way from Golgotha to redeem us all! Grace with divine blood, with the favor of God cleared the way to Heaven for you and for me. But until you reach Calvary, you do not have the victory of grace; for in Calvary is the overcoming power and strength of grace, the very heart of God.
In the whole heart of God you will find all the favor you need for this journey from Earth to Heaven. By grace you can make Heaven your home. By grace you can have plain paths showing you the way to go. By grace the Lord will lead you beside the still waters and into the green pastures. By grace He will feed you daily: Come and dine at the Lord’s table! By grace you have the favor of Heaven, the favor of Lord God Almighty.
What Do You Have to Fear?
Why should you go from grace to despair? What would cause you to be in despair? Why go from grace to fretting, worrying and being afraid? With grace what do you have to fear? For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7). By grace this powerful love came, and the truth tells everyone that they can have it all through the grace of God.
Although truth tells you what you can have through grace, you must accept truth or you will not receive grace’s benefits. To receive the benefits of grace is to receive the divine blood truth, the divine Word of God. And with the benefits of grace, no one can be richer than you.
We sing the song:
I’m just as rich as you, I have a mansion, too.
By grace you have that mansion awaiting in Heaven; because of grace, in fact, you already have the title deed through the divine favor of God. The Lord has willed you who are born-again to have that mansion. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you (John 14:2).
God Sent the Spirit of Truth
I am…truth (John 14:6,), Jesus said. And He was truth. Then He let the disciples know His Father would send the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Ghost to them. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).
Know the truth, Jesus said, and be free through the grace of God. Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Never forget that it’s through grace, the divine blood, that you have the divine favor of God.
It’s not enough to sing about the grace of God; grace must be used. It’s not enough to talk about the grace of God; grace must be used; and grace, I repeat, can only be used with truth.
Value God’s Grace
Why let God be a stranger to you if you have grace in your heart, if you have grace in your life and you’re going from grace to grace? Live from grace to grace, favor to favor and accept nothing less. Never sink from favor to a frown, from favor to disappointment, from favor to disobedience. Tolerate nothing less than grace to obedience, grace to Heaven’s humility, grace to goodness, grace to gentleness, grace to overcoming power—grace, grace, grace!
Many people do not value grace as they should, and some have left it out altogether. It’s tragic to bypass grace. Without grace you have no salvation, no ticket to Heaven. Jesus was given to us through grace; God so loved you that He graced you with Jesus.
Grace Is the Heart of the Godhead
Isn’t it wonderful that you can be in the grace of God? In the grace of God with the wonderful favor of God, you have eternal life right now living within. If you live holy the rest of the journey, eternal life is yours. You will have no more eternal life when you get to Heaven than you have right now through grace if you’re born of the Spirit of God, free from all sin. With eternal life dwelling in your heart, your heart is sealed by the Holy Spirit using the divine blood.
Without knowing the Father, without knowing the Son and the Holy Ghost, you’ll never understand grace. It takes the whole Godhead to give understanding of the word grace, what it incorporates, what it has for you. Grace is the whole heart of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Thank God, I say, for that grace! Thank God, by grace we are redeemed!
Life Is in the Divine Blood
Many people are trying to reach Heaven some way other than the grace way, but the Lord said if you tried to enter any other way, you’re a thief and a robber. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10:1).
It’s from grace to a born-again experience, from grace to divine blood for the soul. Claim that blood, be a partaker of it. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (II Peter 1:4). There’s life, life, life in divine blood; by grace you can have that divine blood; by grace you’re made a partaker of His divine nature, His divine blood.
Thank God for the Old Rugged Cross!
Jesus would say to people: Thy sins be forgiven thee. This was grace and truth, divine blood talk that works on planet Earth today: grace love, grace blood, grace peace, grace joy, grace happiness.
Man in Eden, made in the grace of God, was never to have been away one moment from the full favor of God—but through sin he lost that favor. Thank God the second Adam came to Earth to bring back grace and truth! Jesus won for us and handed grace and truth over to us to use. Thank God for Jesus! Thank God for the Old Rugged Cross! Thank God we can come boldly before the throne of grace!
Those who die without the grace of God will find no favor from Him; on that awful day of the White Throne Judgment there will be no grace. The Lord appearing before mankind with no grace, judging the wicked dead in a place of no grace…can you feature such a thing? But it will be reality for the wicked, for those who neglected His grace and His truth. Yes, they will face truth, but it will be without grace. It isn’t enough just to have the truth, I say again; you must have grace, the favor of God, to go with the truth.
Do You Need Salvation?
If you’re unsaved, won’t you say the sinners’ prayer today? The Lord loves you. No one has ever loved you like Jesus loves you; no one has ever cared for you like He cares. Because of the grace of God, He offers deliverance to you. Say this prayer, mean it, and you will come into the grace and truth of the blood and be set free from all of your sins. Salvation provides your ticket to Heaven, but you must live holy the rest of the journey to keep it.
Oh, God, save my soul. I’m so sorry I sinned against you, but I’ve come home and I’m going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I accept your grace; I accept your truth; I accept your salvation, and I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!
If you meant that prayer, you now can say, Hallelujah, He has come! Hallelujah, Jesus is mine!
Through the power in saving grace your sins are all washed away, cast into the sea of forgetfulness never to be remembered against you again. Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19). It’s according to the Word; it’s truth—grace truth—thank God!
From Grace to Health
Do you need a miracle? If so, by grace let the blood take you to your miracle. Don’t go from grace to sickness, that isn’t what you want. You may feel as though you could never reach healing ground, but grace can take you there. There was a time I didn’t know I would be healed, didn’t know I would live; then suddenly I went from grace to sound health. I would have gone from grace to Heaven had I died; I was ready. However, it was wonderful to go from grace to my miracle. The Lord healed me of every affliction, healed me all over. He reminded me later: I made you whole all over. That was so wonderful!
You who are cancer victims today, you can go from grace to freedom, from cancer, blindness, deafness or paralysis to healing. I see your miracle through grace blood. Grace and truth walked the land one day, and people were healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases. Because Jesus brought grace and truth, people were delivered and people are still being delivered today.
Why would you go to anything less than grace? Jesus made it possible for you to have that grace. Why would you go from grace to despair? Why would you go from grace to fretting about tomorrow when God holds tomorrow in His hands? The grace of God includes all your tomorrows if you have put yourself into that grace, if you have accepted that grace. By grace you have His love. Grace, remember, is a gift, the divine favor of God; and, I say again, it must be accepted or you won’t have it. What a gift it is to have God’s divine favor in all things!
Because of grace and truth, Jesus tells us to ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Luke 11:9). The Bible is a grace Book, and the New Testament incorporates all of the grace of God, all the will of God for you and for me. Jesus through grace and truth left it all for us to use; through grace we’ve been made joint heirs with Jesus.
You who are sick and afflicted: Untold multitudes have been healed through this Jesus ministry. The Lord is the healer and I am His believer. These gifts in my life are supernatural gifts that the Holy Spirit operates to show the will of God for mankind, to show His grace and love-truth for all. Are you ready? You who have cancer, you who have AIDS: Thousands have been healed of cancer, of AIDS through this Jesus ministry. It’s marvelous to read and hear the testimonies that come in telling of people who have been back to their doctors and those doctors confirmed that a miracle has taken place. The blood of Jesus is the only cure for AIDS that we know of on planet Earth today. No matter what your condition might be—you may be a leper—God can heal you. The lepers are being cleansed through this Jesus ministry. This ministry is His ministry.
Lord, here they are; I bring them to you. Lord, I bring those families afflicted with AIDS. Through this Jesus ministry, through grace and truth, you’re healing whole families suffering from AIDS. Lord, we have the divine blood of Jesus to use, and in the name of Jesus, heal the people of the death diseases and all other afflictions today. Heal! Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. Amen and amen.
Through His grace, through His blood truth, take your miracle, take your healing and glorify the Lord; praise Him for all that He has done for you. Then write and tell me about it; I’ll rejoice with you. God’s grace, God’s truth are more than sufficient for all your needs.
