Going Over or Going Under
by Ernest Angley
December 2012
After Jesus had fed the five thousand with only five loaves and two fishes, He immediately constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away (Matthew 14:22). Jesus told the disciples to go over; but when a big storm came, they went under. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid (Matthew 14:24-27).
Peter was very forward and quick to act, but he was not always steadfast and unmovable just as some of you are not. That night, Peter was the only one who stepped forward when Christ came to the disciples walking on the stormy sea. Peter said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:28,29). Peter was going over. He stepped over the side of that ship and walked the waters; but when he looked at the waves instead of keeping his eyes on Jesus, down he went. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him. Then Jesus rebuked him saying, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased (Matthew 14:30-32).
Jesus always called human faith “little faith”; it could do a little bit, but it could not do the big things. Divine faith will do the big things, and divine faith would have kept Simon Peter up on that stormy night. One speck of divine faith will move mountains, heal sicknesses and diseases and save souls.
Be Consistent
That storm was no doubt the worst one the disciples had ever seen, and they were fishermen who had been used to making a living from the sea; but they still had to learn how to go over and not go under. Have you learned that yet? It only comes through prayer, fasting and living in the Word. To go over, you have to obey the Lord; you have to be consistent with God, and you have to live in divinity.
The Lord had used Peter to pull a fish out of the sea with money in its mouth. Jesus told him, Go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee (Matthew 17:27). Jesus had used Peter for other things as well, such as feeding the multitudes; but he still had doubt on the stormy sea.
Peter was not prayed up. He slept too much and left all things in the hands of Jesus. The very time that Jesus needed Peter the most, he was asleep. And he [Jesus] took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:37-41). Like Peter, some of you are looking out for yourself and neglecting Jesus without even realizing it. It doesn’t mean you are a bad person, but it does mean you need to wake up.
You have to learn to hide away with Jesus; but some of you are antsy, and you cannot be alone with just you and the Lord. I love to be alone in His presence. He talks to me and tells me of things to come, of prophecies that are being fulfilled and of the end time that is close. It is almost time for Jesus to come, and the Bride has so much to get done in the short time she has left. We cannot let devil, man or anything else hold us back.
We have to do our best for the Lord; and when He wants you to be with Him, no matter what hour it is, don’t just lie there and wonder why you are awake or go back to sleep. Get up and meet Jesus, and you will find out why you are awake—there are lost souls to be brought into the Kingdom, and you need to pray them in. You need to throw out the lifeline because people are perishing.
Depression Must Go
The God of miracles lives, and everything is done through going over, but most Christians are going under. So many of them are depressed and oppressed when Jesus came to deliver us from all of that. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). Why do you allow the devil to depress you? If anybody is going to get depressed and run, let it be the devil; but some of you are afraid to resist him. The Lord said, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
What kind of Christian are you? Are you a good example of a believer, and do you have divinity working within? If you are not using divinity, you are going under; and under is darkness where people worry and fret about every little thing. You should be like Jesus and go over, never under. When you go over, you have divine happiness, divine peace, divine joy and divine wisdom. You have a higher power to make definite, plain paths for you; but some of you still go under, and you let the devil get to you.
Some of you are going under with battles of the mind because those battles can be so real. You listen to the devil, and then you go under when all good things and Heaven itself are waiting for you on the other side. But still you are going under depressed, and you think Jesus doesn’t love you. What does He have to do to prove that He really loves you?
Get Rid of Doubt and Fear
While you are going under in doubt, there are others who are going over in faith and in the nine fruits of the Spirit. What strength, what power and what grace they bring! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22,23). When you’re going over, people can behold your divine love and faith and your good life. You make them think of Jesus, and it will give many of them a desire to come to the Lord.
When you’re going over, you go from faith to faith and from grace to grace. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace (John 1:16). You are not living by faith when you are going under; yet so many of God’s people go from faith to doubt, from faith to fear, from faith to despair and from faith to depression and oppression.
When Peter used faith, he was going over; but when he saw a big wave coming, he listened to the devil and let fear take him over. Fear takes so many people down. I have prayed for people who have received a miracle for the same thing over and over. I saw it happen in the vision, but they didn’t keep it. Why?—because of doubt. The Bible tells us not to doubt. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord (James 1:6,7).
You cannot get along with God by doubting. Fear will come in, and love will go out the window. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18). Jesus came and brought love, so we have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about; but some of you will pray, “Oh, God, deliver me from this fear!” You should say, “Lord, help me to use your love so the Holy Ghost can cast out the fear.” Jesus told us, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).
Some of you are afraid to die. You may have shouted over Heaven for years; and yet you will cry, “God, don’t let me die!” What you need to do is get ready to live. Then you will be ready to die; and when you are, it will take just one step, and you will have made it to Heaven.
Elijah Had Faith
In Elijah’s day, there was a great drought in the land because God had shut up the heavens. The Lord had taken care of Elijah during the first part of the famine, and then He sent him to a widow woman’s home. When he arrived, she was gathering sticks to fix the last little cake for herself and her son before they would starve to death.
And Elijah said unto her [the widow woman], Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth (I Kings 17:13,14). Fear not—what a message from a servant of God who really knew God!
Elijah represented God 100 percent. It was God at the widow woman’s door, and it was as if He was asking her to bake Him a cake first. I like the way the men of God spoke when they said thus saith the LORD. They gave people what God said; they stood on it, and God always confirmed it.
Elijah was going from faith to faith, and he knew he must get the widow woman to go from faith to faith, too, because her need was so great. She and her son were going to die of starvation, and you can’t get any lower in the valley than that. But when Elijah said, “Fear not,” she felt a great gush of God’s love go through her; and all the fear left. She went into the house, and I can just hear her singing and rejoicing because she knew all was well. She was making the man of God a cake first.
When she finished that cake, she rushed it out to the man of God; and I believe she did it without any fear whatsoever. She was full of the love of God, and she trusted in Him because Jehovah God had never failed her.
No Room for Doubt
It is wonderful that the Lord will not fail us either. The Lord never fails His faith, His love or His promises; but He cannot have anything to do with doubt. The Lord never intended for man and woman to make room for doubt; and if you have done that, you have to close the door to that room in your life and have that room purified and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb.
You have to get rid of all fear by having God’s love in you so the Holy Ghost can flow that love into your mind when any fear is there. Fear will come; but if you give over to the Holy Spirit, He will flush it out. Then there will be only faith, and God works with His faith.
God is a faith God, and He said we would live and walk by faith. For we walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7). When you breathe in the faith of God, you take in the love of God, the courage of God, the determination and full assurance of God and the promises of God. All of the promises are yours, and the light of Heaven shines through every one. You will find the strength of Lord God Almighty in every promise in the Bible. You will find they are true and that you can trust in the Lord.
Don’t put your faith in people; put your faith in God. People cannot help failing you at times because they do not have the ability to always keep their promises; but God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit never fail. We can count on the Godhead, and it is great to be able to trust in God.
Elisha Received the Mantle
Some people have thought that Elisha had just become acquainted with Elijah a short time before he went to Heaven; but according to the Word of God, Elisha had followed Elijah for a number of years. Elisha was in step with Elijah, and their faith and the love of God in their hearts matched. When it got close to the time for Elijah to be raptured, he said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me (II Kings 2:9). Elisha had watched Elijah for all of those years, and he knew the spirit he had was real. He had faith in it; and he wanted a double portion so that he could help others, not himself.
And he [Elijah] said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so (II Kings 2:10). There is a condition to every promise of God; and God told Elijah, “Tell Elisha that if he sees you when you go, he will get the mantle.” Elisha did see Elijah go to Heaven; and when the man of God dropped the mantle, Elisha was ready to use it. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over (II Kings 2:13,14).
Elijah had been Elisha’s master for a number of years; but his work was done, and Elisha had the mantle to take over. There are so many great miracles recorded that God performed through Elisha, showing that he had indeed received the double portion.
The Miracle of Supply
In the Bible, we find another widow woman crying out to Elisha, “Help me! My sons are going to be sold into slavery!” Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen (II Kings 4:1).
With great compassion, the man of God said to her in all faith, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil (II Kings 4:2). The oil was a type of the oil of the Spirit, and the oil of the Holy Ghost will do the job.
That woman must have had real faith when Elisha said to her, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few (II Kings 4:3). Elisha didn’t tell the woman what was going to happen or explain everything to her, so she had to have been a faith person to go knocking on doors asking for empty pots. The neighbors probably thought her mind was gone for sure because she was not asking for any food but only for an empty pot…but she was rich in faith.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full (II Kings 4:4). Some of you hang around doubters, and they hinder you. Get away from them or you will catch the doubt they have and start acting and talking just like them. You will listen to the wrong kind of talk—doubting talk—when you need the faith talk that Jesus always used.
When Elisha told the woman what to do, she didn’t say, “You don’t know what you’re talking about. I told you I have just one pot of oil.” No, she had great faith. She just needed somebody to match that faith, and the man of God did.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed (II Kings 4:5,6). She poured and poured and filled up pot after pot. Then she had the faith to go back to the man of God and tell him what had happened. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest (II Kings 4:7). Then she went through the neighborhood knocking on the same doors; but this time, the pots were filled to the brim with precious oil.
Faith Obeys
There is nothing like the faith walk; you take faith step by step. Some miracles take place instantly, but the widow woman’s miracle was a gradual one. It took a number of steps of faith before her miracle was complete, but she had plenty of faith to make every step the Lord had ordered through the man of God. She started with only one pot of oil and with faith in Jehovah God and in the servant of God. She had seen Elisha perform miracles, so it was the same as God speaking to her when he told her to borrow empty pots; and she did not question him.
Some of you who claim to have faith always question God, but it should be sufficient to know that He holds your hand and that you will be all right. That is faith, but it is your feelings that want to know everything ahead of time. Why do you question God? If He tells you to do something, do it.
When Jesus’ mother helped Him make His first miracle, she said to the servants of the household, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2:5). People need to get that through their heads—if you have faith in God, you will do whatever the Lord tells you to.
Make Steps of Faith
It is time for us to wake up to what divine faith really is. Do you use faith or doubt? When you are full of questions for God, you are full of doubt; and you will not believe what He tells you anyway. If you do not believe the first thing He tells you, you are not likely to believe the second thing He tells you either. You are taking steps of unbelief, and you are not even conscious of it.
You may say, “Preacher, I am just human.” Yes, but divinity has come, and you have divine blood in your soul; so you should be able to put your trust in the Lord with all of your heart like the Bible directs you to. The widow woman made every step according to the will of God, and divine faith will direct you to do the same thing. Jesus did not make one doubting step when He walked on Earth; and He said, Follow thou me (John 21:22). The widow woman got the victory by taking steps of faith, and we all can have Jesus victories daily if we will make steps of faith with no steps of doubt.
I want you to keep thinking about the widow woman’s steps. She didn’t consider how humble the walk was; she humbled herself as a beggar at the neighbors’ doors and returned later to sell the oil to them. Then she did not decide, “I have the money, so now I can do whatever I want to.” No, she went back to the man of God and said, “I sold all of the oil. Now, what do I do?” He said, “Go and pay your debtors, and then you and your sons will have money to live on.”
Faith will spread a table for you and supply your needs; and Paul found that faith when he told us, My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Jesus Christ will supply your needs, and you either believe the Word of God or you don’t. There is no need to claim that you have faith if you don’t have it in the Bible because the New Testament is the will of God for people today.
Faith or Doubt?
Do you have faith or doubt? You must decide which you will use in your daily prayers when the need is great or when there are lean times and the valley is deep. Jesus asked the disciples, Where is your faith (Luke 8:25)? And the Lord is asking some of you today, “Where is your faith?”
We are joint-heirs with Jesus, and we should be ashamed to doubt Him after all He has done for us. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). Jesus brings His reality to us day after day—reality in prayer, in our walk with God, in supplying our needs and in fulfilling His promises.
A centurion who was not of the household of faith once came to Jesus, and the Lord was amazed at the faith he had. The man said, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it (Matthew 8:8,9). The centurion believed Jesus could command the sickness to go and that it would leave his servant. Then Jesus said, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee (Matthew 8:13).
Jesus said this again and again when He was here, and He is saying it to you, too. If I can get you to use the faith of God and obey and serve Him, you can have miracles and healings for both you and your family. The Bible says, God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3); but you will hear some Christians say, “I don’t have any faith.” You cannot be a child of God without faith because without it, you never could have found Calvary. It takes faith to climb to Golgotha and get deliverance through the One who died for you almost 2000 years ago, the One who told Nicodemus, Ye must be born again (John 3:7). You cannot go from faith to doubt and receive salvation.
Take Your Place in the Body of Christ
Are you going over or under daily now? How much do you pray and spend time with the Lord? When you find yourself too busy to pray and be with the Lord, then you are too busy; and you will just drag along and go under. Life is a long journey, so you may try to fill in the void places with people; but they will not give you joy. You get joy by working for Jesus and by being His hands, eyes, ears, mouth and voice. The Bible says, For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30). We are one in Him, and we have eternal life abiding in us.
As a member of the body of Christ, you have all the benefits that Jesus brought. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits (Psalm 103:2). He brought the benefits that will give you abundant life, the Eden life Adam and Eve had before they committed sin; and it was Heaven on Earth. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
The Lord brought Heaven down to you and me, but how much do you think on or use the blood He brought? All the healing, power, grace, faith, love, hope, patience, wisdom and knowledge you need are in the blood.
The Bible tells us six things to think on. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). If you want to know the things Jesus thought on when He was here, they are in that scripture. The Bible tells you, For as he [a man or woman] thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).
If you think about happiness, peace, joy and divinity, you will be happy. If you think about heavenly things, you will be blessed; but if you let the devil do your thinking, you will be defeated and go under because Satan always goes under. You will be victorious in Jesus Christ only when you go over.
What Would Jesus Do?
When you are facing a situation and you don’t know what to say or do, stop and make sure you have on the shoes of Jesus and then think, “What would Jesus do?” I learned that a long time ago. I know I have to find out what Jesus would do, and He gives me answers in such a plain, wonderful way.
Some of you give advice that does more damage than good when you should keep your big mouth shut. People who are anxious to give advice are not worth listening to—remember that statement and let it sink deep within you. I don’t like to give people advice, but I am called to tell them the truth; so when they ask for it, I’m ready to give them an answer from Heaven. I am God’s prophet, and I am responsible for any advice that I give.
Sometimes, I tell people to pray and do what the Lord directs them to do because they need to get their path clear for themselves. The Bible says, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). That means to put your faith in God only; but some of you can’t believe in your own prayers, saith the Lord. I believe in my prayers more than I believe in anybody else’s prayers because I know how I live, and I know I am like Jesus.
Give Your Burdens to the Lord
Discouragement is one of the devil’s greatest weapons against man. It takes you under, and then you’re not a blessing to anyone. You have to have Jesus if you’re going to go over, but some of you always think you have to find a person to be with or go somewhere with. Jesus said, Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). He promised to be with us all the time.
Jesus also said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). He will carry your burden; but some of you whimper and cry, “I don’t know why I have to go through so much!” It is because you will not do what the Lord told you to. Some of you carry unnecessary loads and are going under with self-pity when the Lord said, “Child, come and bring that burden; I will take it. I am your big brother; I am your Savior, and I am the Christ of God. You don’t have to carry that load.” Just carry the loads God wants you to carry, and He will furnish the love you need to do it.
I heard a story of a little girl who was carrying her brother up a hill. A man came along and said, “Honey, isn’t he too big a load for you to carry up that hill?” But she said, “Oh, no, Sir; this is my brother!” That said it all; love carries the right loads.
The Lord is ready to bless you; and He wants you to be a son or daughter of the Lord. Your greatest ambition should be to be just like Jesus and to win the lost at any cost, but some of you do not have that determination. I dream souls; I pray for souls, and I believe for souls. I don’t let the ministry live for me; I live for the ministry of Jesus Christ, and I am ready to work for it at any time.
Give All to God
The Lord can rebuke us with such love that if you have any heart at all, you will just bow completely to His will. His love will melt all the stubbornness out of you, and then you will be ready to do anything for the Lord. When I got saved, I told the Lord I would do anything. He rolled away my burden of sin, and another big burden came rolling in—the burden for the whole lost world. I didn’t understand it at the time, but I knew I had been delivered from all of my sins. I hated the things I had used to love, and I didn’t want to be with the people I had once enjoyed being with. I did not even have a desire to go to the places they were going.
Through the blood and the fire of the Holy Ghost, I was cleaned up; and the love of God was like fire shut up in my bones just as Jeremiah said. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones (Jeremiah 20:9). I just wanted to be with Jesus all the time; and I begrudged having to go anywhere, unless it was to church. I loved to be with God’s people; it was a haven of rest for me. I loved to see those who were going over, to hear their shouts of praise and to see their spirits of obedience and cooperation, to see their hands in the nail-riven hands of Jesus. They had on the shoes of Jesus; they were in step with Him, and they were shining as bright as the blood itself.
Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20). Persecution didn’t send Paul under or fill him with fear. Not even Nero’s chop block could make Paul afraid; and in New Testament days, nobody else received more prophecies than Paul did. He described what our day would be like; yet people who are doing sinful things will say, “Jesus did not say anything about what I am doing; only Paul did.” Paul said, “Christ liveth in me,” so Paul only wrote what the Spirit told him to write.
You have to stop some of the foolish things you are doing. Paul said, When I became a man, I put away childish things (I Corinthians 13:11). Some of you have childish ways—you complain, pout, pity yourself and think, “Nobody loves me.” What counts is that Jesus loves you, and He proved it; so what are you going to do with Him? You fail when you pity yourself when you should be thanking God that the King of kings and Lord of lords is your big brother, your Savior and your everything.
Are you complete in Jesus or do you seek to be complete in people? The Bible says, And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). I do not compromise with people, and I do not preach for them to like me. I preach the crucified Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not given for you to like it; it is given because you cannot get into Heaven or have the peace and joy that passeth all understanding without it. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
The Bible tells you what you must do. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Eagles never go under, so it is time for the eagles to fly. No matter how terrible the storms are, the eagle rises above them into the sunshine of glory. Those who want to meet Jesus in the air will need to know how to fly the Jesus way.
Take God’s Direction
Some of you are in and out with God. You do not trust the Lord or His promises; and when it comes to tithing and giving to the Lord, it is easy for the devil to tempt you not to. You may try to get by; but the Bible says, Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8). The Bible also says, Give, and it shall be given unto you (Luke 6:38). God keeps His promises.
Others of you say you are so busy, yet you have not done a good day’s work in a long time. Make a list of what you do in a week, and then see how much of it was for the Lord. On the Day of Rewards, you are going to discover that you did not do all you should have done; and you will find out that you missed souls.
I don’t know how to say no to God, and I don’t want to learn. Many people who are deceived about themselves will say, “I’ll do anything for Jesus!” However, if you ask them to do something, they will say, “Oh, no; I can’t do that.” You might as well say you don’t have the heart for it because if your heart is right, you will be ready to do right.
I take the Lord’s discipline; but for you to do that, you will have to suffer and spend time to learn it. Our minds have to be trained to listen to the Lord, and we have to keep our ears tuned in to Him because God knows exactly what we need. Look into your heart because God does not only look at the outward part of you or me; He looks in on the heart. He knows how sincere we are and how much we sacrifice for Him.
To go over, you must look forward to the coming of the Lord and daily look at the end-time signs, both bad and good. You must look for more of the faith that was delivered to the saints and for more miracles. You must seek to do more work for God and to reach more people than ever before. We must take Jesus to the whole world because we don’t have all the souls in. Multitudes of souls are ever before me, and I know our work is cut out for us. The Lord is telling us to go over to the other side because that is where He needs us.
Faith Brings Miracles
Jesus said, All that I have is thine (Luke 15:31). The Lord has made us great promises. He is our Father, and His wealth belongs to the children of God. Good health belongs to the children of God, but some of you doubt it. You will come for prayer and then doubt. I know God has promised healing, and I believe His promises. If you will believe with me, you will get well. I tell people to do what God has said as an act of faith and obedience to the Word of God; and the Bible says, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19).
You can only keep in contact with God through faith; and when you get prayed for, you must keep in contact with God to get you well just as He promised He would. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). I inject the healing power into your body, and you have to take the healing step by step and watch every change in your body.
Never Lose Sight of Faith
God moves for believers, not doubters. I use the faith of God, and it works; but you have to go from faith to faith, never from faith to doubt. So again I ask, “Are you going over or going under?”
When I was just 23, I thought for sure I was going to die. I had never dreamed I would ever be in such a deep valley and so close to death. I thought my faith was all gone because I had suffered for so long that when I would feel for faith, it wasn’t there. Then one night, Jesus came and made me whole all over; and He took me from faith to faith. I had gone down into my feelings, but the Lord lifted me out of them and took me into His faith. I was healed of everything from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet.
The Lord will take you from faith to faith, too, if the Holy Spirit is abiding in your life. God will never take you to disobedience but to obedience, never to stubbornness but to humility. He will never take you to anything unlike God but only to the faith of God and the life of Jesus Christ that He sent for all.
Go Over into Salvation
Sinner or Backslider, lift your hand right now and say this prayer and let Jesus come into your life and save you. Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home. I am going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe in the blood of Jesus. I know He died for me, and I know there is power in the blood of the Lamb to wash away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus! If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come; and now you are brand new. You have a new faith life, and you do not live it in fear; you live it in grace, faith and love.
Go Over into Your Miracle
Now that you have given your heart to the Lord, you can be healed. The Word says so, and there is such life in the Word! When the Word was made flesh in the form of a man, it healed people. The Bible says, He sent his word, and healed them (Psalm 107:20). If you want a miracle, I can help you get to the top and go over. You may have AIDS or some other deadly disease that medical science cannot help you with, but the Lord will give you life. Untold thousands have been healed of AIDS, and lepers have been cleansed through this Jesus world outreach ministry. God can do anything. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)?
Lord, I bring those with AIDS and other deadly diseases to you. Some are dying now, but you can give them life. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. I use the precious blood of Jesus to destroy those deadly diseases and to give the people life. Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus.
Be thou made well, and then write and tell me about it. Those of you who had AIDS, go back to your doctor and get your good report. Then send it in, and I will rejoice with you; and remember that the Lord must have all the praise, the honor and the glory.
I’ll see you in the Rapture!
