And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none (Ezekiel 22:30). God was looking for a human being who would stand in the gap for Him and make up the hedge; but this verse comes from a tragic story in which God couldn’t find anyone to fill in the hedge, so He destroyed the land. God’s hedge is one of divine love, the kind of love that Jesus brought when He was born as the Babe in Bethlehem 2000 years ago.

Today, the Lord needs you. He is looking for a man, woman, boy or girl who will stand in the gap and make up the hedge; but what should that person look like, act like, talk like or listen to? That person should be somebody who is full of God’s eternal love, the Jesus blood love that He brought down from Heaven; and that is the greatest love that can be found on Earth or in Heaven. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God so loved the world that He sent divine blood love to us in a little bundle called Jesus.

When there is a gap in the hedge, the enemy can get in; but when you stand in that gap and make up the great wall of faith, the devil can’t get in. You hold the forces of the enemy back and give help to those who are lost. You cry to the world, “You can be free!” The Lord needs you who believe that the captives can be set free, that they do not have to remain bound in sin and sickness.

Serve Love

God needs to use the love that is in a person’s soul and in his or her life. He needs a person through whom the Holy Ghost can gush forth His love at any time. He that believeth on me [Jesus], as the scripture hath said, out of his belly [our innermost being] shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Those are waters of love, and the Bible tells us that the Holy Ghost also flows the love of God into our minds. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). Where does the Spirit get that love?—from our souls. The Holy Spirit flows the love that dwells in our souls into our minds so we can serve it to others.

There is no limit to the capacity of the soul; it can hold the whole Godhead and all of the greatness of God because it is a part of God. The body is made of flesh, but the soul came from God; so it is like God Himself. There is no limit to what God can hold, and it is the same with the human soul; but the mind is different. The mind is like a little cup; and the Psalmist said, My cup runneth over (Psalm 23:5).

In this last hour, God is searching for you who have a lot of love. God has given His children unbelievable love, and the great, godly love they carry is amazing even to them. In the blood love of Jesus, you find grace that is sufficient for every need. My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9). The Lord is looking for a person who knows what the grace of God really is and is ready to use it.

God is looking for a person who knows there really is an anointing that breaks all the yokes and one who treasures that anointing. The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). God is looking for a person who will use His hope and faith and who will use His strength like Samson did. Samson defeated the enemies of God as long as he used God’s strength. And when he [Samson] came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith (Judges 15:14,15).

You Must Pray

God is looking for a person who believes in the power of prayer and Bible fasting. Jesus said, This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Paul said, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Some people think that verse means we must pray in tongues all the time, but that is not true. It means we should pray through the anointing of the Spirit, and we must pray for each other through the Spirit, too. Pray one for another (James 5:16).

Hide away with the Lord in your prayer chamber, and you will find peace in God’s garden of love. You will find it in your Garden of Gethsemane as you humble yourself before God instead of running away like the disciples did. You have learned a better way; so you are standing by Jesus, the One who reached down, picked up the man’s ear that Peter had cut off and put it back on him. Jesus is doing all kinds of great things today, and they will get even greater.

For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day (II Timothy 1:12). It is time for us to know in whom we have believed and to know that He will keep everything we have yielded to Him, but you have to yield—that little word says it all. All the divinity Jesus brought to Earth is on the table, but are you eating from the table of divinity daily? Jesus said to the disciples, Come and dine (John 21:12); and He is saying the same thing to the Bride today.

So many people never get a prayer answered, and I wouldn’t be on their road for anything. I can call Jesus any time. He said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7).

Jesus is always on time. In some situations, it may look like He is late; but I hold on because I know He is always on time and that everything will be all right. You have to trust God and live in the Word. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6).

Use the Word

God is looking for people who believe that they can use the Word of God. And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Gospel (Ephesians 6:19). The mystery of the Gospel is given to the saints of God today, and the Lord wants us to know and understand the Bible completely. The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

Never say you can’t understand the scriptures; just seek the Lord until you do understand them, and then embrace them and live up to them. Then you can give the devil the truth like Jesus did. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

The Word is the rod of God; and just as Moses lifted up the rod of God to bring about His miracles, the Lord needs a person who can lift up that rod and conquer for Him. When a person lifts up the rod of God, it must be the same as when Moses lifted up the rod and separated the waters. God needs you to be able to take His rod, the living Word, to the heathen and not be afraid to use it with God’s holy power and with all of His greatness that is needed.

When a person lifts up the rod of God, it must be the same as when Jesus was here. He said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18,19). God is looking for you, so don’t count yourself out. For with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27).

God is looking for a person who believes every promise recorded in the Bible and that the Word of God is infallible. Adam and Eve did not have to live by promise, but every person who has found the Lord outside of Eden has had to live by promise.

You may say, “The Bible doesn’t tell us that Job lived by promise.” It doesn’t have to because it tells us that Job said, For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth (Job 19:25). If that was not a promise that Job was living by, then what was it? Job also said, When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold (Job 23:10). Why?—because he trusted in God’s promises. If you are not living by the promises of God, you are not really living; and you will have no future if you don’t accept those promises. Your future is just as bright as the promises of God but only if you yield to them and use them.

Wear God’s Armor

In the Early Church, God was looking for special individuals to start His Church. He did not look for them in a group; He chose them one by one from among His followers, His disciples and His apostles. He found about 120 of them; and then He got them ready to go to the Upper Room to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, power from On High.

Today, the Lord is again pointing His love finger and saying, “I need you”; and He needs you as an individual. God doesn’t choose people by families, although many times the whole family will be chosen; but even then, He deals with each person in that family individually. The Lord is saying to you today, “I need you to put on the whole armor of God and stand.” Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). It has been said that the word “stand” is the strongest word in the English language. When you have done all you know to do, then you must stand; but don’t deceive yourself into thinking you have done all when you have not.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth (Ephesians 6:14). Divine, blood truth is the only thing that can protect you. Many people have never been taught the truth, so we must hurry and get it to them. Every man, woman, boy and girl must have a chance to receive the truth of Heaven about themselves and their souls, about hell, about the kingdom of the devil and about how to stay away from his powers.

And having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:14,15). The Gospel of Christ is a Gospel of peace. Jesus said, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you (Matthew 5:44). The astounding thing about Jesus was His love. Never before had anyone ever heard a person talk like Him or teach that people should love their enemies. Under the Law, they had been taught an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth because the Law was very cruel.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16). Let all the fiery darts of the devil fall at your feet. Never turn and run from him because if you do, his darts will strike you in the back. There is no protection in God’s armor for the back because He never intended His children to run from the devil. You can quench every one of the devil’s darts when you have on the whole armor; and if you are going to use any part of it, you must have it all on.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). The helmet is a very important part of the armor for us because it is the mind of Christ, and it will protect your mind.

Stand and Be Strong

Are you standing wearing the whole armor of God? Do you put it on before you leave your house? Did you use it today? When you put on the whole armor of God, you have it made; so stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. You will see the great pillar of fire and the burning bush; and you will see the fiery tongue that came on the Day of Pentecost, and you will have it.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10). The armor of God will make you strong in the Lord and in the Word of God, not in people, their theories or what they think. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). You will not be a strong person who can stand in the gap and make up the hedge unless you have on the whole armor of God.

We have to defeat the devil for people and let them know they can be free. We have to get to the alcoholics, the drug addicts, the murderers and those who are degraded and bring them to Jesus in this final hour. Our cry to the whole world is, “Come to Jesus! You will find forgiveness, love and understanding. You will find divine peace just as the Bible declares.” And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Then keep that peace. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Without holiness, no one will ever see the face of God; and He wants us to see His face for all eternity.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities [against the kingdom of the devil], against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

Take Jesus to the People

God needs you who will take hope to people who have never had any hope, to those who have never known what it is like to place hope in anyone until you take the person of Jesus Christ to them. The Lord needs you because you know who Jesus is and where He came from. You know He was born and laid in the manger in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago, and you know He is the very Son of God.

The Lord needs you who have become one of the wise and know His works. You know He wants to save the lost and that He won’t turn them away; and you know He wants to give them a love invitation that says, “Come to Jesus, and He will be your everything. Come to Jesus and be made whole!” He needs you to tell the mother with the little blind boy that Jesus will heal him, that it is not God’s will for her son to be blind and that God’s gift of healing is free. There is never a charge for me to pray for people, and I never take even a penny in any of my healing lines; I treasure the gifts of God too much. Freely I have received, and freely I give.

God needs you to be unafraid to take the love of Jesus to lepers knowing that the blood of Jesus will cleanse them. He needs you because you believe that He cleansed the ten lepers when He was here on Earth. And as he [Jesus] entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed (Luke 17:12-14).

God needs a person who believes in what He did yesterday and in the miracles He will perform today. Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The Lord needs you who can really say, “I believe in miracles because I believe in God.” He is the miraculous Christ, and those people who believe in miracles have to be the ones standing in the gap and making up the hedge so that the Lord can save poor, lost souls.

You must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. You must believe that He is I-Am, not I-was. He needs you to tell people that the great I-Am sent you and that He has power to heal all manner of sicknesses and diseases, power to close the mouths of the lions and power to quench the violence of fire.

Don’t Be Left Out

In this last hour, God needs you to stand as tall as Jesus stood; and the Bible tells us it can be done. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

The apostles and the Early Church disciples stood so tall. The Lord needed them to start the Church; and they said, “Yes, Lord.” It doesn’t matter what your name is or what kind of family you come from; the Lord needs the person you are. Don’t decide you are not worthy because it isn’t a matter of being worthy but a matter of being covered with the blood. It doesn’t matter whether you have no money or millions of dollars, whether you had the opportunity to get a good education or not; the Lord still needs you.

The Lord has many gaps in the hedge to fill in, and it takes all kinds of people to do that. They just have to be blood-washed, blood-bought and covered with the blood of Jesus. They have to be living in the blood and be filled with the Holy Spirit, fire from On High. John the Baptist said, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire (Matthew 3:11).

God Needed Gideon

One day, the Lord had need of a certain kind of man; so God’s eyes ran to and fro until He found Gideon. Then God sent an angel after him. When the angel arrived at Gideon’s house, he greeted him and told him that he was highly favored with the Lord; but Gideon asked, If the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of (Judges 6:13)?

Gideon had a longing in his heart to see God’s miracles because the miracles of long ago he had heard about were not happening anymore. He was just the kind of man the Lord was looking for because it was going to take a miracle to do what God wanted him to do.

Gideon had read and studied about Jehovah God, so he had knowledge of Him and of how He worked. Gideon knew what God had done in the past, and he knew that all of His works had been miracles and that nothing great and mighty could be done without God’s miracles. He knew about the miracle in Moses’ life that had brought the Israelites out of Egypt; and he had probably cried many nights thinking, “Oh, if only our people could be delivered from their bondage today.” But Gideon knew it would take a miracle, and that was exactly why the Lord chose him.

When Gideon found out that the Lord needed him to help bring about a miracle and defeat the Midianites, Gideon got ready by gathering 32,000 soldiers. God needed a man who could influence and move people, and Gideon was able to do that. God needs people like Gideon who will ask questions before they go into a war to find out what they will need for that war.

Testing Time Will Come

Gideon felt sure he could defeat the enemy with 32,000 soldiers; but then he heard the voice of the Lord saying, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me (Judges 7:2).

Sometimes, the Lord interferes in what we think are our wonderful plans. When God said He needed you, you may have decided to go with Him; but you wanted to do things your way, the human way. You wanted to feel like you were really a part of what needed to be done and that it would be done through your wonderful abilities, but that won’t work.

God went on to tell Gideon, Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead (Judges 7:3). God needs people who are not afraid to fight the devil, those who will stand up to be counted and spend time fasting and praying and studying the Word of God. When Gideon told the men what God had said, it looked like they were all going to turn back. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand (Judges 7:3).

I am sure Gideon was knocked to his knees; and when he finally got up, he was probably crying, “Oh, God, help us! It will be awful to go to war with only 10,000 men.” Then the Lord answered, “Well, Gideon, I have some more news for you—I have another special test for these 10,000, too.” And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go (Judges 7:4).

When God needs people, He will supply the test needed to prove them. We are used to men and women supplying the tests for others; but God didn’t allow that in Gideon’s day, and He still supplies the tests today that are needed to choose people. Are you passing the test with His love, grace and power? You don’t have to be afraid to fight God’s war when you have on His whole armor because the devil has never been able to penetrate God’s armor.

So he [Gideon] brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water. And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place (Judges 7:5-7).

I imagine that the Lord waited until the men were very thirsty and dying for a drink, but those who got down and put their faces in the water had forgotten all about what was around them. How could they see the enemy coming like that? If we want to see our enemy coming, we have to bury our faces in the love of God, the hope of God and the promises of God. Those men who buried their faces in the water did not pass God’s test; and to Gideon, it looked like nearly all of them were carelessly sprawled out and acting like there was no war going on. However, Gideon did find 300.

Trust in the Lord

After Gideon had caught his breath, he needed the Lord to strengthen him; and the Lord is so good to do that for His people. God knew that Gideon needed encouragement, so He told him to slip into the enemy’s camp and listen to what they were saying.

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand. And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host. And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along. And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host. And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian (Judges 7:9,11,13-15).

The Lord gave Gideon specific instructions for the battle, and then Gideon told the soldiers exactly what God wanted them to do to prepare for the battle. And he [Gideon] divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers. And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do. When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets (Judges 7:16-18).

In times of war, it doesn’t matter how many soldiers are in your army but rather how many trained soldiers you have. Those who are not trained will not obey and move when the captain tells them to, and they will lose the war. In our spiritual battle, we must never want to lose for Jesus; and He doesn’t want you to lose a battle for Him either.

Gideon’s army got ready. They didn’t look like much of an army to man, but God and only one man are a majority just like God and David were a majority on the day Goliath was killed.

Then it was time to move. So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands. And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon. And they stood every man in his place (Judges 7:19-21).

Every man in that army stood in his place because the Lord said, “I need you.” They didn’t run home; they stayed to fight the battle. They had mothers, fathers, wives and children waiting for them; but they stood in God’s place and made up the hedge, and they won the battle for God and for their own people.

God’s Way Brings Victory

God’s people must know how to be soldiers in this last hour. They must have the proper equipment; and they must know how to use the power of God, the power of His love, and the power of the nine fruits and the nine gifts of the Spirit.

On the day of the battle, God’s power and light were with Gideon and his army. The candles were a symbol of the light of God, and the trumpets were a symbol of the strength of God. The light of the candles had the power to penetrate the darkness of the night, and the trumpets had the power to penetrate the silence of the night. When you have the greatness of God to penetrate the powers of darkness, then you can be a real soldier for God; and there are many good soldiers in this final hour who are winning battles and having victories.

God has a special place for you in every war and in everything He calls you to do. When you are ready to serve His love, He can use you in His war every day because blood love is the strongest power on God’s Earth.

If the Lord had told Gideon ahead of time that he would have to fight with just 300 soldiers, he might have fainted and never recovered because the enemy had so many soldiers in their camp that the Bible said they looked like grasshoppers. And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude (Judges 7:12).

The Lord doesn’t always tell us everything; He just says, “I need you.” Have you ever cried and prayed when the Lord said He needed you and told Him, “Oh, God, choose somebody else! Poor, little me, I am not much of anything.”? God doesn’t want you to be much; He wants to make you much. He isn’t looking for somebody who has already developed into what he or she thinks is much; He just wants you to yield to Him. Man’s soul was in the hands of God in the Garden of Eden, and he was fine; but when man took his soul out of God’s hands, there was trouble. A man is not a real man, and a woman is not a real woman until they put their hands into the hands of God, their Maker.

Always Be Ready to Move

If you have God’s great power working within you, He is saying, “I need you today.” You might think He only needs you in church on Sunday; but on Monday, the Lord may say, “I need you.” If you are a real soldier, you will drop everything when the Lord’s call comes no matter what plans you have made; and you will be ready to move. It should not matter what day it is or what time of the year it is; if you have God’s great love and Christ’s blood love ears, you will hear that call; and you will hear what the Spirit is saying.

The Spirit is calling us for daily service because He has so many people to reach in this final hour. They need someone to inspire and encourage them, someone to say, “Nobody has ever loved you like Jesus loves you, and nobody has ever cared for you like He cares.” You must say, “Yes, Lord, I am ready. I will tell people the story of your love. I will tell them of the Old Rugged Cross and of how you died for all sinners because you loved them so much. I will tell them that you have a place called Heaven where they can go and be with you, a place where there are no sorrows, heartaches or despair.”

God has something for each one of us to do. Are you on call for Jesus? Are you ready to do battle for the Lord? Will you help people who are weary and tired of life and see no way out? Maybe life has been cruel to them, and they haven’t had the help that you have had; so He needs you to lift up their hands and place them into the nail-riven hands of Jesus. He needs you to stand with His faith and greatness and tell the person, “God will give you help, strength and greatness. The God of miracles lives, and He has all power.”

God Works One-on-One

Before reading this message, you may have thought that God would never need you; but why not? Jesus died just for you, didn’t He? If there had not been anyone else on Earth but you, He still would have died for you. Jesus didn’t die for a crowd of people; He died for individuals. Each one of us has an eternal soul that can never die. It will live an eternal death in hell or an eternal life in Heaven. The soul belonged to God in the first place until the devil destroyed it.

Salvation is an individual experience. When the Lord calls people to salvation, He calls them one by one. I may be preaching to thousands of people in our overseas crusade services, but God deals with each individual.

When it comes to the children of God, His finger is pointing right at you; and He is saying, “I need you because you have my love, and I have been waiting for you. You have my grace in abundance and my faith, and you know how to use them. You are walking the road of love and faith, and you are in step with me.”

Jesus said, Follow thou me (John 21:22); and to follow Him means to find those who are lost, those who need Jesus most of all and those who need the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. God needs people who are following in His steps so He can turn to you again and again and say, “I need you here; I have work for you to do today.”

Take Your Place

In this great hour, everybody has a place; and God needs those who are standing in their place with Him. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him (I Corinthians 12:14-18).

There is a special place in the body of Christ for every one of us. We cannot all be an ear, an eye, hands, feet or toes; but we all have a place, and the Lord needs you to take your place. He needs you to take His Gospel message of love to those in need. He may send you on a short journey to a neighbor’s house or to a hospital bed, or He may send you on a mission across the ocean. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

The Lord needs you to be a witness like Abraham. The LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:1,2). God was saying, “Abraham, I need you to be a witness who says that I am still the God who made man and that I am ready to help people, to direct them and to give them great life.”

Jesus came saying, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus came so we could use His blood to be cleansed and made into a new creation and take on eternal life. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). When you are made new, you will hear God say, “I need you who have been delivered and set free through my blood.”

You Must Serve

Today, true children of God have to make up the hedge around the whole world. That requires a lot of standing in the gaps; so we need every soul who will dare to be a Daniel or an Ezekiel, every one who will drive back the powers of the devil. In this last, great hour, the Lord needs every true believer who will believe for the sick to be healed and for devils to be cast out. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). Jesus said that all of this would be done in His name.

I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19). Jesus said, “I need you who will serve my smile of love to the unloved. I need you to serve a cup of my gentleness, goodness, mercy and longsuffering. Oh, I need you!”

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24). If you have taken up the cross of Christ, denied self and are following Jesus, He has a great need for you to show others through your own life what it means to have the joy of salvation and the purity, holiness and righteousness of God within. He needs you who are living holy and free from all sin just like the first Adam and Eve did before they fell.

Jesus Is the Only Way

God needed Noah to stand in the gap when no one else would. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6:8), and grace is the highest favor of God. Noah stood even though nobody would come to God but his family; however, Noah saved those seven souls. Today, there are millions of people on Earth, but such a few will really stand for God. You have to stand in the holiness and power of God and in the power of the Holy Ghost. You have to stand believing the whole Gospel and knowing that Jesus is the very Son of God who was born of the Virgin Mary.

The Lord will prove Himself to us today with signs, wonders, miracles and healings; and He is already doing great and wonderful things for the Bride. You must recognize what the Lord is doing, but the devil is trying everything he can to do away with Jesus Christ. Do you realize how many false religions there are today that deny Jesus Christ? That is so pathetic when the Bible says there is no other name under Heaven by which people can be saved. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

There is also no other foundation that can be laid. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11). If you are not building on the solid Rock, Christ Jesus, you are not standing in the gap. Without that foundation, you do not have the strength, love, grace, joy, peace, happiness, goodness, mercy or forgiveness to be able to stand.

The Lord said that if you don’t forgive others, He will not forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:15). When you really forgive someone, you do not keep talking about what that person did to you. I put my enemies under the blood and go on to be happy in Jesus.

The Lord said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). I took the Lord up on that a long time ago, and it works; but some of you will go back and get your burden and take it upon yourself. I never go back to get a burden that I have turned over to the Lord.

Be a Living Sacrifice

Are you ready yet to stand in the gap and make up the hedge and bring people to God? Is your whole heart in it? Are you willing to suffer and pay the price? Are you willing to stand for holiness, righteousness and truth? Jesus said, Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). To be free, you have to know the truth; and you have to know Jesus. I am still learning about Him, and I will never learn all I want to about Jesus.

Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world and the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16). He is our light, our satisfaction and our contentment. He is a Pearl of such great price that you must sell everything else to buy that one Pearl. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13:45,46).

You will have a beautiful fragrance when you give your life completely to Jesus! He is the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys (Song of Solomon 2:1). When you reason with God and the Holy Ghost, you will learn the things you need to know about Jesus Christ every day.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:1,2). How do you renew your mind?—through the power of the blood and the Holy Ghost. Then take on the mind of Christ and think like He thought while He was on Earth and like He is thinking now. That mind is for you and for me. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).

There is no time to be valley Christians; it is time to climb the highest mountains and to soar higher and higher with the Lord. It is time to wait upon the Lord until you know the mind of God, time to fast and pray and live in the presence of God. You must spend hours in His holy presence and in His divine love and grace.

Be Not Deceived

Will you stand in the gap today and be a part of Heaven, or are you a friend to the world? The Bible says that if you are a friend to the world, you are an enemy to God. Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). To be an enemy of God is the worst thing you can be.

Whatever is in people comes out in their voices. They have voiceprints just like they have fingerprints, and I know through God’s gift of discerning what those voiceprints are. That is the reason I have some people in my prayer lines talk to me longer than others. Some of them will tell me they are saved when there is nothing but resentment, stubbornness, failure, sin and disobedience coming out in their voice; and then they get mad when I tell them they are not saved.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:7,8). Don’t worry about your enemies because they are sowing the wrong seeds, and they will reap corruption. The Bible says, For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7). That whirlwind will destroy you.

God Commands Tithing

God needs you to be a tither; but if you don’t tithe, you are short changing yourself, and God can’t trust you. The Lord said this about those who don’t tithe: Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8). When you don’t tithe, the Lord said you are like a man trying to fill up a sack with holes in it. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes (Haggai 1:6).

God gave the tithing plan in such a way that no matter how poor you are, you can tithe. It is a tenth of all that you make or receive; and when you give it, the Lord promised to open up the windows of Heaven on you. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). You may have tithed at one time; but then the devil came along and said, “You don’t have to do that because you are not being blessed like others are.” If you had held on to God, He would have made the way for you.

Don’t make promises to God about tithing or anything else and not keep them. You want God to keep all of the promises He has made to you, don’t you? God won’t fail because the Bible says, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness (II Peter 3:9). The Lord stands by His promises, and you don’t have to beg Him to do that.

The Lord never told you to beg for anything. Jesus said, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Matthew 7:7). He also said, Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him (Matthew 6:8). However, the Lord wants you to ask for what you need because it is an act of faith on your part. Then you have to praise the Lord for the answer. There is strength in praise, but some of you don’t praise the Lord like you should. You must live in the Psalms and take time to praise the Lord more, giving all the honor to the Lord.

Live Holy

You can’t fail God and expect to do anything wonderful for Him because your hands won’t serve the right things. Your hands are connected to your heart, and your heart has to be right first of all. God cannot use people to win souls or to work in His Kingdom if they don’t believe in living free from sin. You have to be Jesus right, or you will not be blessed. You are not a son or daughter of God unless you are blood washed and free from all sin. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).

If you have accepted the promise of God, you are free; and God needs you. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). God needs holy hands; but they have to be divine blood hands, and they have to be connected to a divine blood heart that is covered and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. He needs you to show others how to walk the highway of holiness.

If you are not being blessed today, there is a reason. The Lord said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). He will tell you why you are not being blessed if you really want to know, but you won’t want to know if you are not going to do anything about it. If you are not sincere, don’t play church with God; He doesn’t believe in it.

Jesus said that this last hour would be like it was in the days of Noah. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:37-39).

You Must Not Fail

If you fail to answer God’s call and He doesn’t find people to stand in the gap and make up the hedge, many are going to be lost and damned in an eternal hell. When Jesus was here, He told about that awful place in the story of the rich man who died and lifted up his eyes in hell. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame (Luke 16:19-24).

The end is coming; and Armageddon, the battle of all battles, is just ahead. At that time, there will be no one who will stand in the gap and make up the hedge and save the Earth; so the Earth will be destroyed by an angry God and will never rise again. The Earth will be turned upside down; men will be destroyed by fire, and few men will be left. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left (Isaiah 24:6). When Jesus was here, He said, And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened (Matthew 24:22).

Surrender All

You must stand and take the place God has for you so you can help make up the hedge and souls can be saved. The Lord is calling on you to stand in the gap, so why not surrender everything and tell Him you will be one who will answer the call? If you don’t, you will die lost and go to hell. There is no second chance because there is no way to get out of hell. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17).

Cry out to God and say this prayer right now: Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry that I sinned against you; but I have come home, and I am going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the precious blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

Receive a Miracle

Now, the Lord wants to heal you who are sick and afflicted. Jesus said that all things are possible if you will believe, but to believe is to live the Gospel and to serve it to others. I am not a healer; I am just the Lord’s believer, and I believe in the power of prayer. God has healed multitudes as He has used His humble servant to pray the prayer of faith and deliverance. I use God’s blood faith and blood love, and they work. You may have AIDS, cancer, diabetes or heart trouble. You may be crippled or paralyzed, but you can be set free of anything because the miraculous Christ still lives. I say to you today, Wilt thou be made whole (John 5:6)?

Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. I am glad you chose me to bring the lame, the blind, the deaf and the hopeless ones to you for healing. Lay a healing hand on the people today! Heal their little ones and make them well. Heal the people of all manner of sicknesses and diseases. Heal! in the mighty name of Jesus. Heal! I pray. The healing power is flowing, and the blood of Jesus heals everything; so be thou made whole. Then write and tell me about it, and I will rejoice with you.

God bless you is my prayer.
