From the Heart, Part 1

Matthew 12:34, O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. These are the words of Jesus. What’s in your heart comes to the ears of God when you speak, no matter how much you might try to hide it. Any malice, envy, strife in your voice sounds like static to God.
I knew about voiceprints even before the government came out with them; God had gifted me with that knowledge. Many times I don’t know the sicknesses or diseases of a person until I hear the person speak; then through the gift of discerning it’s as though I’m reading a voiceprint and I know their disease, their sickness; I know about them. If sin or disobedience is in their life, it comes out in the voice.
Whatever is in your heart, what kind of heart you have, determines the kind of voice you have. That’s the reason some people can’t get their prayers through and God doesn’t move in any great way for them; He hears what is in their voice.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). God listens to the righteous speech of a good man; He hears those who carry godly qualities in their hearts. What are some of the godly qualities that should be in your heart? First of all, you should have a heart of joy.
A Joyful Heart
The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). You’re not a good testimony for the Lord if you don’t have a joyful heart. The Lord gives you love—and you must have a heart of love, of course—but you also must have joy or you won’t serve that love. Unhappy Christians are not good witnesses for the Lord. Why? Because they haven’t let the Lord make them His witnesses. They may have tried to make themselves witnesses, but when the Lord makes a witness, He makes a joyful one.
In the beginning of the Church, God had joyful witnesses. They even rejoiced over the persecutions they suffered for His name’s sake; they rejoiced when they were whipped and put into prison. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name (Acts 5:41).
A Heart of Love
The Bible declares that without love we are absolutely nothing. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:1,2). Without love you’re nothing in the eyes of God. How important love is!
See the greatness of God’s love in these scriptures and take it into your heart:
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31:3).
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love (John 15:9).
For the love of Christ constraineth us (II Corinthians 5:14).
Know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19).
A Believing Heart
Do you want a joyful heart? Then you must have a believing heart; believe what God has said above all your opinions or other people’s opinions. “Thus saith the Lord” is what counts, what will give you strength. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe (Mark 5:36).
A Heart of Grace and Truth
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). In a wrapper of clay the Word made flesh went everywhere doing wonderful things. That voice of Jesus—what a beautiful voice it was, so full of grace and truth! What tender meekness He carried in His heart!
A Humble Heart
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble (I Peter 5:5).
With the meekness of Jesus in your heart, you will truly have a heart of humility. Are you meek or do you have a haughty spirit? If you have a haughty spirit it comes out in your voice. Do you have a stubborn spirit? If so, you don’t have that spirit of meekness, that Jesus humility. By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life (Proverbs 22:4).
An Obedient Heart
We must have a heart obedient to the Lord. The Lord puts a great price and great rewards on obedience. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19). The obedient will have the best and will conquer. Jesus being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8).
A Conquering Heart
If you want a conquering heart, which you must have, you need the Jesus heart. The Jesus heart is a conquering heart; there is no defeat in Christ Jesus. The Psalmist said he would hide the promises of God, the Word of God, in his heart so he wouldn’t sin against God; in that way he could conquer sin. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).
A Forgiving Heart
A heart of love is a forgiving heart. You can’t have a heart pleasing to God if you don’t have a forgiving heart. An unforgiving heart carries grudges and spite that show up in the voice. No one can have salvation and still carry a grudge. Jesus taught us that as we forgive others, He would forgive us. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15). Forgiving people of their sins isn’t in our power, but we can forgive them for what they do against us. The Bible tells us, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19).
Turn your enemies over to God. Don’t chase after them or try to get revenge. Let the Lord deal with them, and then you can go to bed to a peaceful sleep. Lord, here they are. I put them in your hands. Why rob yourself of the blessings of God by letting your enemies trample you down? The Psalmist said, Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies (Psalm 23:5). Your enemies will feel worse than being shot when they look over and see your table spread with the blessings of God. They may claim you’re a hypocrite, that you don’t have Jesus, but with their wagging tongues they are the ones who will face the judgment of God. Without the love bridle they have nothing.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain (James 1:26).
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (James 3:5,6).
A Heart of Faith
It takes faith to please God. The Bible says, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). By faith with a pleasing heart full of love we must live. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love (Galatians 5:6). Everlasting, eternal faith in the perfection of God’s Spirit is offered us.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). He that cometh to God must believe that He is Lord God Almighty and that He rewards just like He says He does, that His promises are true.
God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Until you use that measure of faith, you can’t find Calvary. That’s the reason some people have never found Calvary. They just joined a church, shook the preacher’s hand, got baptized in water and that was it. They never received a born-again experience. Church membership won’t take you to Heaven; you must have the divine blood to cleanse the heart of sin, and then Jesus can come into a pure heart. The faith of God, the love of God live in a conquering heart.
The Lord keeps all His promises. Never worry about God’s promises not being fulfilled. Get off the boat and walk the waters of life with Jesus. With Him to sustain you in the stormy deep, claim every promise in the Word of God to hold you up. Mounting higher and higher on every wave, you with Jesus will conquer.
Simon Peter believed the promise. When the Lord said, Come, Peter stepped out and walked the waters. I don’t know how far from the boat he got, but the Bible says he walked. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:25-29). Yes, Peter became afraid and began to sink, but imagine the faith it took to walk a little way in the first place, and then see what an enemy fear is to faith. What is the solution? Again this verse in I John: Perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18).
A Heart of Hope
A heart of God’s hope is the next best thing to a heart of God’s faith. We have hope for tomorrow, hope for our loved ones who died in the Lord. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him (I Thessalonians 4:13,14). We don’t say farewell to our loved ones, we just say, “Goodnight; we’ll see you in the morning.” Thank God, the morning will come. We have that hope on the inside of us; it’s in our spirit; we carry it, treasure it. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
A Heart of Goodness
God makes you good, gives you a heart of goodness. The Bible says that no man or woman is good unless the Lord is in him or her. It’s impossible to be good without the Lord. The Lord has never described anyone as good who didn’t have Him. Jesus brought this heart of goodness to you. Let the goodness of the Lord dwell in your heart. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever (Psalm 23:6). The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 33:5).
A Heart of Greatness
Consider the heart of greatness; there was fantastic greatness about Jesus. He walked among common people, those without money, and let them know they could buy without money, without price, and isn’t that great! Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price (Isaiah 55:1). Come unto me and bring your burdens, Jesus is saying, it’s free! Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
Jesus had all His greatness to give. When His abundance of greatness is in your heart, it will come forth. But if you don’t have any of His abundance, then you’re left with what the devil has to offer.
A Heart of Self-Control
Self-control should be in your heart. People who say they can’t control their temper don’t really have Jesus. If you can’t control your temper, then the wrong words and actions will pour out of you. Remember, the Lord said, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (Matthew 12:34). That which is in you comes out; if it’s not pleasant to hear, you kill your testimony.
Failing to control your temper means you’re not giving over to the Spirit of God and He cannot produce the fruits of the Spirit in your life. The Holy Spirit produced all nine fruits of the Spirit in perfection in the life of Jesus, fruits He wants to produce in your heart. Jesus became very man, and as very man He needed those fruits. That should tell you that you need them, too. There’s no doubt about it, we must have the fruit of the Spirit. What is the fruit of the Spirit? The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23).
A Pure Heart
A pure heart—Jesus had a pure heart and He gave it to us; that’s why He came. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God, He said in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:8). If you have one sin in your heart, your heart isn’t pure. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). But there’s no death for a pure heart, a heart that loves not the world. The pure heart is a heavenly heart, a God heart, a Jesus heart, a Holy Spirit heart. Blessed are you if you have a pure heart!
A Patient Heart
With longsuffering comes a patient heart. In your patience possess ye your souls (Luke 21:19). The most valuable possession you have is your soul, and you can’t possess it unless you’re patient with the kind of patience that Jesus had.
Remember the patience of Job: Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy (James 5:11).
Job stood the test, but Jesus was greater than Job, Solomon, and all the prophets put together. Jesus, the Son of God, came down bringing divine blood to save all mankind who would yield to Him. Our hearts have to be cleansed with that divine blood, the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross. It’s through the divine blood of Jesus that we have been set free.
A Heart of Heaven’s Strength
If we don’t have a heart of Heaven’s strength we’re not going to mount up with wings like the eagle. We won’t have strength to wait upon the Lord, to walk out of the valleys we need to walk out of or to climb the mountains we need to climb. Can you see how important the heart is to God?
God offers you a heart of power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me (Acts 1:8).
The Lord told the disciples they would have hearts of power to do His work. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).
The disciples must have wondered how they would be like Jesus and do His works. How would it be? Jesus told them it would be done through the power of Heaven, the power of the Holy Ghost. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17). I’ll pray the Father and He’ll send you another Comforter, Jesus said, who will teach you, direct you, and live on the inside of you. These promises He gave the disciples are our promises as well.
A Heart of Boldness
A heart of boldness—the followers of Jesus didn’t always have that bold heart, but after Pentecost they prayed for holy boldness and got it through the power of the Holy Ghost. God shook the place. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:29,31). They asked for and received holy boldness, boldness to stand up.
A Heart of Sacrifice
You must have a heart of strength, power, and the greatness of the Lord; and then you must have a heart of sacrifice, like the sacrificial heart of Jesus. The Bible says to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).
A Heart Beating in Rhythm with God’s Heart
Our heart must beat in rhythm with God’s. Before Adam fell, his heart beat that way. Adam loved the same things God loved, spoke the same language God spoke and no other. He could talk to God as one man to another; his eyes could look straight into the face of God. But after Adam sinned, man no longer was able to look into the face of God. Adam lost everything of divine value in Eden. This is what Jesus came to restore: divine fellowship between man and God. What a wonder beyond comprehension is such great fellowship!
A Heart of Comfort
Do you have a heart of comfort? You will never have that heart of comfort that Jesus had unless you are baptized in the Holy Ghost and He dwells on the inside of you. That heart of comfort is offered to you; Jesus sent it. You must have a heart to give out these things that the Lord gives you: love, joy, peace, strength, and all His other wonderful qualities. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do (I Thessalonians 5:11). Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God (II Corinthians 1:3,4).
A Giving Heart
That magnificent heart of Jesus gave love and peace. What do you give? Never forget that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. If you’re not serving your family the love that you should, not serving people around you the joy and peace you should, then it’s simply not in your heart. I say again, what is in your heart comes out in your voice; you can’t hide it.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38).
A Holy Heart
Your heart must be holy, a heart without one particle of sin. Jesus was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). He gave Himself to all the trials and temptations, all the weaknesses of the flesh. He had flesh like we have, hands of flesh, a face of flesh, eyes made of clay just like ours. Yet, He never sinned; there wasn’t even any guile found in His mouth. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth (I Peter 2:22). Jesus had what it took; He had a God heart. It is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16).
Jesus, the second Adam, brought everything needed to make us like the first Adam before he fell; He brought the new and living way, a life free from all sin and degradation. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:19,20).
God created man in righteousness and holiness. Since Jesus came we can be created in holiness and righteousness when we are born again, true holiness and true righteousness just like Jesus. Put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24).
A Sinless Heart
Jesus said, I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Matthew 9:13). You have been willed that Jesus heart, and the Jesus heart is the God heart, the Holy Spirit heart. You must have that holy, sinless heart. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof (Romans 6:12). If you don’t have a sinless heart, you don’t have the heart of Jesus. From the heart, I say again, sin is revealed through the voice. If you have one seed of sin, one seed of deceit in you, it will show up; you can’t hide it. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The Bible also tells us that there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth (Luke 15:10).
An Honest Heart
On the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience (Luke 8:15).
If you have that sinless heart, you have an honest heart; you pay your just and honest debts. Some Christians don’t do that; even some preachers don’t pay their debts. Doesn’t a teaching in the Word of God tell us to be honest? Don’t try to get out of your debts. If you can’t pay people as quickly as you thought, let them know. Tell them you are forced to make smaller payments due to unforeseen difficulties, but also let them know you mean business; you’re going to pay.
Always plan carefully; have the mind of the Lord before you go into debt. It doesn’t take any faith to go into debt; a careless mind can go into debt, but if you plan on God helping you meet your bills, you need to consult with Him. At times we have to go into debt to get the things we need, but we must be honest about it and do our best to pay. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest (II Corinthians 13:7).
An Understanding Heart
To have a heart like Jesus you must have an understanding heart. Solomon asked for an understanding heart rather than asking for power or riches. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people (I Kings 3:9)? Solomon’s request pleased God so much that He made him the richest man of his day.
None of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand (Daniel 12:10). Strive to have an understanding heart.
A Heart of Wisdom and Knowledge
To have an understanding heart you must have wisdom and knowledge from On High, and then understanding will come forth in what you say and do. The Bible is all about wisdom and knowledge from Heaven, anyway. The New Testament is the Will bequeathed to us, the Will that Jesus left for us when He died. It lays out the discipline we need to live the way God intends. We’ve been made co-workers, co-partners, joint-heirs with Him; and we must have the same love, the same grace, the same everything. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out (Romans 11:33)! How great is the Lord in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3)!
A Trusting Heart
If you don’t have a trusting heart you’re in trouble. Examine your heart today; be honest about it. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). It’s wonderful to trust in the Lord. Many people say they trust in the Lord, but they really trust more in self or their kin. They don’t have complete trust in the God who made them. If you worry and fret all the time, you don’t have a trusting heart.
The Bible says to be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). With prayer and thanksgiving trust God with all your heart. Trust the Word of God.
A Praising Heart
Do you have a praising heart? The Lord won’t accept your praise unless it’s perfect praise. You must mean it; your praise must come from a heart that is clean and holy. Praise God with a sinless praise, a pure praise. Why? Because the Lord inhabits, lives in our praises. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel (Psalm 22:3).
Without love, joy, peace—and all the other things of God—you’re not giving the right praises to the Lord. If you’re carrying that which is not of Christ in your heart, the Lord simply is not accepting your praises.
The heart-felt praise cure is the greatest cure you can use to get well, the greatest cure for the Lord to supply your needs financially, the greatest cure to help you get a job when you’re out of work, the greatest cure for anything you need from Heaven. Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever (II Chronicles 20:21). Praise Him in the beauty of holiness.
Although the Bible teaches us to praise the Lord, to be full of praise, that praise has to be sincere or He won’t accept it. We need divine love and joy in our hearts so we can make the perfect praise that ascends all the way to Heaven. That kind of praise the devil can do nothing about. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious (Psalm 66:1,2). When you praise the Lord through divine blood and joy, the Lord brings health to the body. A healthy spiritual heart, like the heart of Jesus, helps you to get well and keep well. If people would praise God more they would have better health. I try to get people to praise the Lord; it’s the cure for oppression and depression.
Can’t sleep? Instead of walking the floor in doubt and fear, walk the floor shouting, Hallelujah! Praise the name of the Lord! Praise Him for the blood! Praise the Lord with all your heart and soon the devil will want you to crawl back into bed and go to sleep. That blood praise is going up and he can’t stand it; before you can give him a nervous breakdown, he flees from you.
Jesus brought all of these things for the heart that I’ve mentioned as He went about healing people of devil oppression. He delivered them, set them free, and now it’s time for us to be free.
Do you have these things that God wants you to have in the heart? If so, are you letting them come forth? How much do you praise the Lord?
A Heart of Courage
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
Do you have a heart of courage? Courage takes away discouragement. Discouragement is one of the greatest tools the devil uses against God’s people, the only tool he has that can get inside of you and grind you down. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deuteronomy 31:6). Using the courage of God, be rid of discouragement.
A Waiting Heart
You must have a waiting heart. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). They that wait upon the Lord will mount up like the eagle, not like the little sparrow. If you don’t have a waiting heart, it may be because your heart is deceived. You say you’re waiting on the Lord, but if you’re waiting at the wrong station you’ll never mount up into the greatness of God. To mount up like the eagle, you must be at the right place with the right kind of heart, the God heart.
The eagle spreads his wings and soars above the storms. The more fierce the storm beneath him, the higher he rises. The eagle enjoys a good storm, and a good eagle Christian can be happy during a storm even when persecution is coming from all directions. Mounting up like the eagle, you’re not afraid of the storms.
But some of you are depressed and don’t know what you’re going to do. Why? The Book tells you what to do: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. The Book also tells you the Lord is not slack concerning His promises. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9). The Lord keeps His promises; every promise in the Word of God is yours.
A Fearful Heart
Where is your faith? Jesus asked the disciples one day, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith (Matthew 8:26)? Oh, ye of little faith, why did you doubt? Jesus was saying. You wanted to get off the boat and walk the waters with me. You wanted power like I have to walk the waters of life and I gave it to you. Then you lost it and cried out, Help me, Lord; save me!
Don’t let fear enter your heart. The Bible says that perfect love casteth out fear, and there’s no perfect love but God’s divine blood love. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18). The Bible also tells us that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5).
I get excited over the power that God gives to His children to overcome all the fearful battles of the devil. Jesus is a great teacher, and I love to teach the things of the Lord, as well as preach.
A Helping Heart
Every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul (Acts 11:29,30). The Early Church members had hearts wanting to help.
A helping heart—do you have a helping heart? Do you take time to help people at the altar, or do you run off home and forget all about them? Do you help to serve the love of Jesus to people, to encourage them? Do you really serve Jesus; do you have that wonderful, helping heart? Do you help people along the way, look out for them? Do you take time to help the weak ones or are you too busy doing other things, things that don’t really matter? Think of the marvelous ways Jesus helped others: The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28).
Jesus takes personally what we do for Christians in need: Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me (Matthew 25:40).
How many useless things have you done? How many hearts have you truly touched? How often do you smile and be happy? How many times have people seen your smile, taken heart and decided they wanted Jesus? With the right kind of heart you walk and talk just like Jesus as you seek to do His work here on Earth.
A Heart of Vision
Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Do you have a heart of vision for the lost, vision from the heart? Saying you’re looking for Jesus to come but not showing it by the way you live demonstrates a lack of vision in your life. If you’re really looking for Jesus to come soon, you’re dedicated, consecrated in fastings and prayers. Realizing you must work while it’s still day, you’re making sure your garments are pure and clean, without spot or wrinkle. Getting ready to leave when Jesus comes again, you have vision of the plan of God knowing you’re in the final hour of the Gentile dispensation, the Church dispensation. The final harvest is on and you have to hurry, hurry, hurry.
I’m going to continue this message from the heart in the next issue of the Giant Little Book. God gave this message to me special and He wants people to have it. Ponder the different things that are to be in your heart as a child of God. Have you substituted the wrong things? If so you’ve got a bad case of “heart trouble.” You need the Jesus heart.
A Heart of Salvation
Your heart may be sinful, wretched, undone. Nothing good comes out of your mouth; it’s all contaminated with sin and darkness, with disgust, doubt, fear, frustration and despair. You may be bound with nicotine, alcohol, or drugs, but, Sinner, you can be delivered and have the Jesus heart. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Lord, I bring the alcoholics, drug addicts, and those who are bound with any kind of demonic spirits, and I curse those devils with the blood of Jesus, command them to go in the blood name. Those who smoke, I command that nicotine spirit to leave them right now. That nicotine spirit will destroy their bodies if they don’t get rid of it. In the blood name of Jesus be free!
Now raise that hand and say the sinners’ prayer with me: Oh, God, save my soul. I’m so sorry I sinned against you, but I’ve come home. I’m going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on into my heart!
If you believed that prayer, if you meant it with all your heart, now you can say: I have a sin-free heart filled with the grace of God, and I’m going to stay free from sin because the Bible says I must, and I can and I will, Lord.
A Heart of Miracles
You who need a miracle, maybe it’s from AIDS or the AIDS virus, untold thousands have been healed of HIV/AIDS through this Jesus ministry. I preach the Word, live the Word, and God confirms healings and miracles as people are set free. You can be delivered today. You may have cancer, diabetes, physical heart trouble, TB, leprosy, or perhaps you’re bedfast or paralyzed. It doesn’t matter how difficult your case may be, the Lord can set you free. For I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26).
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. I bring them into the divine blood that heals all diseases and kills out all sin. In the blood name of Jesus I come with your supernatural gifts, your power from On High. Heal! in the precious blood name. Heal! in the powerful blood name of Jesus. Heal! Heal! and get them well for the glory of God.
Believe the healing promises of God in His Word: Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Claim that promise of healing and get well.
Blessed be the name of the Lord! The Lord is wonderful! Write and tell me about what you and yours received from the Lord today. From His boundless love He sheds light and love on your path each day as you serve Him with your whole heart.
