One of the great ways the devil robs people of God’s blessings is to tie their minds in knots over the bad things that have been said about them, done to them or the rough roads in the valleys of yesterday. So involved thinking about the bad, they never enjoy the mountain peaks today. The Bible teaches victorious, not downtrodden living.

Paul had great insight into the victorious life. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (Philippians 3:13). How much have you put behind you? Your blessings are before you, Child of God, because the Lord is before you at all times.

Sinless Blood Was Spilled for You

God will let you know, when you are yielded to Him, how your thought life can keep you in depression. As long as you talk about the past you haven’t forgotten about it. Some people just love to tell how mistreated they were in the past. Were they mistreated more than Jesus? Did they die to save sinners? What does it matter how many have mistreated you? Jesus, the very Son of God, was tortured in a horrible way. His beard was plucked out; He was spat upon, robbed of His clothes; His divinity was mocked; He was crowned with thorns pressed into His flesh, and tied to the whipping post. The Roman lash was so brutal it tore the flesh from the backs of those beaten with it, and birds carried away pieces of flesh. The blood ran. What price Jesus paid for our healing as well as for our salvation! His sinless blood, blood of eternal life, eternal goodness and greatness was spilled for you.

When I think of those blood stripes that brought the greatness of His healing power…. Some people forget the power in His blood, but with those blood stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Think of the physical suffering Jesus went through—but the agony of mind and spirit was even greater. “My God, my God! Why hast thou forsaken me!” Jesus cried. No wonder God blocked out the terrible scene. God with all His power, all His strength and greatness had to turn His back completely to keep from coming down and destroying the whole human race.

What kept God from that mass destruction? Love, love. God had never given all His love to mankind until the Crucifixion. He didn’t give man all His love when He created him in the Garden, but it took all of God’s love to make a Calvary. God gave His whole heart; the heart of God was hanging there on Calvary that dark day. How can we weep over ourselves, over what the devil is doing to us when such love is available to us? If Calvary won’t save you, if you by-pass Calvary, God has nothing left with which to rescue you. It’s all through the blood. Jesus came with divine blood.

Vengeance Is the Lord’s

If your past torments you, Jesus offers all the help you need to overcome those torments. Why not busy yourself telling others what God is doing now instead of what you think He didn’t do yesterday? Tell your blessings from the Lord rather than how misused you have been.

The Lord will look out for His own. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19). Don’t let others worry you. Some claim to be saved, but they love to “get even” whenever they think they have been slighted. It’s the spirit of the devil, not the Holy Spirit of God. Anyone with that spirit has it because he or she is not saved, not under the blood, saith the Lord. The blood of Jesus gives you so much love that you turn your enemies over to God and pray for their salvation. You don’t have to love the ways of your enemies; God hates the evil ways of enemies of the children of God, but He loves their souls. Everyone can forgive the Bible way if he has God in his life.

If you can’t forgive the Bible way, it’s because your soul is not covered by the blood. When you carry grudges in your heart and keep them there no matter what the other person does, you are destroying yourself, pushing God away from you. Many, by their actions, come out of bed in the morning pushing God away. Rise up each morning saying, “I need you this day, Lord. I wouldn’t want to live one moment without you.” Start each day with the humility of the Lord. However, if you haven’t gone to bed the night before in the right spirit, it will most likely not be there the next morning.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:26,27). If you go to bed with wrath in your heart, the devil will work with it while you are sleeping. But if you yield to the Holy Spirit, if you go to bed with the love and goodness of God, yielding to Him, it will be the Holy Spirit working for you while you sleep, and you will wake up refreshed in the Lord. The Lord is your strength, your help, your high tower.

Power to Trample Devils Underfoot

You have been given power through the blood of Jesus to trample devils underfoot, power to have victories daily, power to resist the devil to such an extent that he has to run. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded (James 4:7,8). You don’t have to let the devil rob you. He loves for you to sit around depressed and oppressed. You have been given the armor of God straight from another world, shipped down to you by the Holy Spirit Himself—but you must wear it.

Jesus came to set the captives free. It grieves His heart to see you, His child, in the enemy’s bondage of depression and oppression. Bondage is not your birthright. Why should you pity yourself when you have eternal life gushing forth on the inside? You are going to live forever with the Lord. Soon you will be out of the lions’ den, out of the fiery furnaces of life; soon you will walk your last valley, climb your last mountain, and all Heaven will be yours. Jesus is your passport to Heaven.

God Wants Witnesses

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). The Lord wants to make you a witness, but how can He do that if you turn your back on His joy and victory, giving the impression that you see none of His greatness? Can a spirit as sour as vinegar convince others of the wonderful love of Jesus? Do you say you are going to Heaven, but look as though you are about to drop into hell? How convincing is your testimony? Do people walk away from you thinking that Heaven must be an awful place if you are going there? It’s a wonder God hasn’t lifted completely from those who won’t acknowledge Him in all their ways.

Be Ye Holy

A child of God, bubbling with happiness, with God’s joy, draws people to the Lord. But a person who knows—and tells—everyone’s business is a danger, not a blessing, to others. Stay away from people like that; don’t let fear of hurting their feelings compel you to keep company with them. Gossip is evil; it destroys people. Keep your ears clean and your speech pure. Talk to people about Jesus. If the subject insults them, they will stay away. When you can insult the devil, you have all Heaven backing you up.

Forget the bad things of the past and remember the good. Reach for the greatness of God. You have much good to think about, things that make you happy and rejoice. Dwell on the times God has answered prayers for you, not the times He didn’t. The love of God is hard to understand. It’s beyond us all. In this last hour we must treasure that love and obey the Bible in everything. It’s time for us to live holy, be holy, talk holy and be a blessing. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:15,16).

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked (I John 2:6). Walk as Jesus walked, live as He lived and love as He loves. Be kind, tenderhearted not only outwardly, but inwardly.

Rich in Love

What you are really like inside becomes more evident at home than away from home. If the cat scampers for shelter when you walk through the door and the dog runs for cover, you should check the condition of your true self. Carry love and peace to the ones at home. Fill your home with God’s love, love on the furniture, love covering the walls. Carried away with the love in your home, you won’t grumble about what you don’t have. You won’t think how poor you are. Love makes you feel rich; it makes all the difference in the world.

If you haven’t grown up in love, now is the time to reach out for it. Let the Holy Spirit teach you what it means to be in Jesus. He will give you more love than you can handle, more joy than your soul can radiate to others. Go to sleep in love and wake up in love, God’s love. No one who has Jesus is to be pitied. If you have Jesus, you have what you need. Material things don’t really count when compared to Jesus.

Think about the goodness, the power, the greatness of God and forget the bad experiences of the past. Enjoy the lasting riches of Heaven; rejoice thinking about your blessings and the greatness of God. Look back on the things that make you happy.

Press into the Greatness of God

Some can’t find enough to depress them today, so they look back in their lives for the sadness of the past. God is blessing them, and still they want a good dose of depression—how silly. Paul said to forget about the bad times in your life.

Paul goes on to say, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you (Philippians 3:14,15). Press toward the mark that God has for you. It’s time to go on into the greatness of God, to rejoice in the cleansing blood of Jesus, in who and what you are in Him.

Praise the name of the Lord! Be a happy person. You can’t wait until everything is going right and everyone around you is happy before you are happy, too. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Draw on that joy; depend on it.

Looking Back in Laughter

My older brother Judd liked to talk with me especially about the good times we had growing up. We didn’t waste time sorrowing over the bad times; we’d laugh—and we had some bad times together. We’d laugh about how Mama would chase around after us, how sharp she was and the many ways we’d try to outwit her. Before I was saved I loved to play cards, but to Mama, bringing cards into our home was like bringing in the devil. She hated cards; we simply were not to have cards in her house. People had gotten into trouble by playing cards, and she didn’t want any of her children playing cards or gambling. Never having money to gamble with, my brother and I would play for matches. The room we shared was off from the main part of the house, separated by a hallway, with the rest of the family on the other side. My brother and I usually played cards on the floor of our room, but I, on one occasion, got tired sitting on the floor and said, “Judd, that bed looks good. Let’s play on the bed tonight.” I forgot about the window. Mama could see in from the porch. There we were in a showcase, and we didn’t know it. Cards were strewn all over the bed, and we were having a lot of fun. It didn’t last. Suddenly the “F.B.I.” pounded on the door. I doubt we would have been more terror-stricken had it been God Himself. Mama certainly carried the wrath of God with her. “All right, boys; bring them on out!” You never saw a deck of cards go together any faster in your life. In seconds, the cards were together and hidden. Our hearts pounding, we opened the door.

“What’s wrong?”

“You know what’s wrong! Hand them over!”

“Hand what over?”

“Don’t you talk back to me! You know what to hand over! I saw them! You’re going to give me those cards!”

“What cards?”

“I’m staying right here. I’m not going anywhere until you hand over the cards.”

We were ready to cry over that deck of cards. They were precious to us. Carefully we had kept them hidden in the ceiling of the bathroom; Mama couldn’t get up that high. But now she knew they were in the room. We had to tell her something: “Mama, they’re borrowed.” Of course we weren’t saved then, I say again, and it’s a good thing we didn’t drop dead for lying. “Mama, we’ll take them back.” Mama wasn’t buying that, wasn’t leaving until she had the cards. We tried to direct her mind to the injustice of destroying “borrowed” cards. It wouldn’t be right to destroy someone else’s property. They paid for those cards. (Isn’t God a forgiving God!) Poor Mama didn’t have much money, but she had a big heart. She didn’t want to rob anyone. Mama came across with the money to pay for the deck of cards, but first she went outside and burnt them—one by one. She made sure that every card burned. She got her money’s worth, and we had money to buy another deck of cards.

My brother and I talked about those times and laughed. There was no need to talk about the sad times. Leave them buried. The saddest thing Judd ever mentioned came in the last years of his life. He asked, “You remember the time you threw that big rock at me? It just grazed my ear. If it had hit me, it probably would have killed me.” I said, “No, I don’t remember that.” He responded, “I’ve never forgotten it!” We had a big laugh over him almost being killed.

If you can look back on your close calls and laugh, it will help you keep the victory over them. I wasn’t going to cry about that big rock I threw at him. I’m sure back then I thought he deserved to be scared; in fact I probably meant to hit him with it. All those years he didn’t let me know that it grazed his ear. He declared it was a big rock and not a stone. Maybe the size increased as time passed, I don’t know.

Forget the bad things and learn the things God has for you and what God has done for you. Look back to the way the Lord has led you with a mighty hand, and glorify the Lord, not thinking about those who have mistreated you. If you mistreat me, I won’t keep thinking about it—it wouldn’t make me happy. I want to think about something that will make me happy.

The tragedies impossible to forget that may have knocked you to the ground, the overwhelming grief that comes with the loss of loved ones, are blows only the Lord can take you through. He will sustain you, give you comfort and see you through the dark hours. Live in His presence in your deepest valley and let Him bring you out. After I lost my precious wife, Angel, it was God who taught me to laugh again. I threw myself into His arms and cried, “Oh Jesus love me! Jesus love me!” Moment by moment I pulled on His love and anointing, and He never failed me. He will never fail any of His children; His open arms are just waiting for you to turn to Him with all your heart.

Spiritual Indigestion

Do you long for food that will depress you? As you serve your stomach with what makes it happy, serve your spirit the same way. Do you want to eat food you hate? I can’t eat dill pickles without frowning. I don’t like sauerkraut, and I am not going to make myself miserable eating a lot of it. I want to eat something that will make me happy. If you insist on eating something you don’t like, you will have an unpleasant expression. Why not eat food good for you that makes you happy?

A lot of your physical happiness depends on your stomach. It’s right out there in front where you can’t forget it. If it has a pain, it tells you right away. If you send down something it doesn’t like, it lets you know at once. Before you even get away from the table you wish you hadn’t eaten the thing that upset it. You can ask your stomach to forgive you, but you still have to suffer.

Just as you can eat food that disagrees with you, you can feed yourself the wrong spiritual things, things that won’t digest right in your soul, that will not bring joy and peace to you. You may tell the Lord and your soul that you’re sorry. Your soul and the Lord may forgive you, but you still have to suffer. Don’t do those things to yourself. Learn what blesses, helps you, what you can take into your soul.

Gossip won’t bless your soul. If you are listening to the wrong kinds of things, being around the wrong people, you won’t be blessed. Those who talk doubt and hate rather than faith and love are not a blessing but a curse. Talk faith: God will do it, God will help, God will make the way, God will supply the need, God will stand by me. Our God is able. God will look out for me, protect me, take care of me. The Lord is my healer and my deliverer. He loves me!

A Table Spread

Some of you have carried resentment against another in your spirit for weeks, months and years. It builds a wall between you and your Lord. Ask the Lord to help you not think about the bad. The Psalmist gave us great insight when he said that the Lord preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies (Psalm 23:5). It’s a wonderful thought. Most of us are so busy thinking how to get even with our enemies we neglect to put them into God’s hands to handle as He sees fit. For our enemies to see us being blessed, to see God preparing a table of His goodness is a bitter pill for them. Rather than praying for vengeance on them, pray for their salvation, and for the Lord to spread you a table. When someone is telling lies about you, say, “Lord, spread the table!” He’ll do it. You who work with aggravating people who are swearing and causing trouble, say, “Lord, spread me a table daily!” When they see your happiness, your joy, they will be seeing the anointing of God in your life—some may even want to come to the Lord.

You Need Blessings Today

Can you forget all your unhappy times or are you looking back? Now is the time to not look back anymore. I see many people who seem to be cast in the same mold as Lot’s wife, looking back to the world and away from God. The Lord told her to not look back, but she did and was turned into a pillar of salt. The Lord today is still telling His people to not look back to the world. There is nothing in the past for you.

You can get a thrill knowing God was with you yesterday, but it’s more precious to know He is with you right now. Your greatest moment is now because Jesus is with you. I’m glad I had something good to eat yesterday, but I’d enjoy it better if I had it right now. Does thinking about that good meal you had a month ago satisfy your hunger today? It’s the same spiritually speaking. Yesterday’s blessings were wonderful, but you need blessings today. God being with you yesterday gave you a thrill, but it won’t give you the strength for this hour. The strength comes knowing God is with you right now.

The Lord is your helper, your joy today. The Lord is your love right now; He is blessing you, giving you happiness. You can rejoice in His ever-present help.

What Influences You?

Come out of the wilderness today and stay out. It’s wonderful to be separated from the grumbling spirit. Grumbling and complaining will take you back. Are you a good grumbler or a good praiser? Do you praise the Lord a lot? If not, you are in danger of falling into the grumbling pit. The same pattern is true of sicknesses and diseases. Some people are forever telling about their horrible operation. You’ve heard it so many times, you think you could perform it yourself. If you want to be depressed, just listen to someone tell about all the fear, frustration and pain they endured in their operation. The distress they felt when they thought they were going to die, the unusual case the doctor said they were can be almost as painful to listen to as it was for them to go through. You’ve heard about it dozens of times. If they only had a variety of operations—but it’s the same one every time.

Check the things you talk about; that spirit, good or bad, you carry is catching. Has your happiness ever been altered by being around a person who holds onto depression and worry? In a moment, happiness can be stolen from you. The devil isn’t always the one to steal it; people can take it. Don’t be quick to yield to another; and when it comes to depression and complaints, don’t yield at all.

Some people instantly support the complaints of another. They react emotionally without thinking; strong emotion gives them the feeling of substance, of filling a void, of having a cause that makes them important. Emotions running wide open can shut down minds. Some people get worked up and, before you know it, they have a war going on. They set off the fuse, get others to take up their cause and then go home to forget all about the problem. But the others are left fuming. Instead of taking the problem to the Lord, people take on a fighting spirit.

When people tell me their problems, I assume they want those problems delivered into the hands of the Lord rather than for me to become a soldier and start gunning for their enemies.

Someone said about me, “You know what? I went to Reverend Angley and told him my troubles, and he just laughed at me.” Would it have helped had I cried? I laugh a lot at troubles. I don’t let the devil get me down. I think some of the works of the devil, how he acts and comes at people are ridiculous. I wasn’t making fun of that person; I never would have thought of such a thing. How the devil worked to take that person’s joy and peace was uncovered.

Thin-skinned about things that don’t matter very much, we take them personally. We don’t face life the way we should. Look into the Bible; it’s the only book that tells how to face life the right way. Why turn to talk-shows on television to find out how to face life? No wonder people who do so have problems. The Bible is the life-facing Book. If you go by the Word of God you can handle anything life brings your way, even meet death with a “Hallelujah, I’m going home through the blood of Jesus!”

It’s Time to Praise God

It’s time to rise up and praise God. How long has it been since you had a glory shout in your soul, since you had the joy of the Lord until you were about to drown in it? How long has it been since you believed God would look out for you today and all the tomorrows ahead? How long has it been since you have been able to close out all the past and shout, “Jesus, you’re all that counts! I’m with you! Both hands are in yours, and I’m going to make it through to Heaven!”? How long has it been? How long has it been since you have had one great happy day?

When I come to the end of the day knowing I have pleased the Lord, I mark that day as perfect. I don’t think about how much trouble I met during the day or how many people criticized me; I think about doing God’s will.

People are changeable. They may hate you, but if you were to give them a million dollars, suddenly they would love you. If money can change a person’s opinion, it’s not a very good opinion. You could give the Lord a billion dollars and He would not change His opinion about you. What do the opinions of others matter when you are doing the whole will of God?

Give God Time to Work

The Lord is great; He can do anything. Why not turn everything you can’t handle over to Him? Have you turned everything over to Him only to take it back the next day? You turned your problems over to Him, went to bed, had a nightmare and the next morning the Lord didn’t have your burden any longer, and you wondered why He didn’t care. Didn’t care? He took the problem when you offered it to Him, but you took it back.

When you give God a mess, it takes time for Him to work things out. A child can bring something he has broken, give it to a parent and expect it to be fixed. It takes time to do it. It takes time for God to work with His children. They can get into trouble. How can the Lord lead you forward when you are always pulling back? Look where you are going. Keep your eyes open; if you don’t, you’ll run into some snag, tie the hands of God, and prevent Him from working.

Take Your Stand with Jesus

Are you a bundle of trouble because you won’t be obedient in all things to God? The Bible says that you should be looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Look not to the left nor to the right, but straight ahead to Jesus. When you really look to the Word of God, it will lift you up, take you out of depression, give you joy and strength.

You can spiritually “eat” the Word and have strength; you can eat the Word and overcome the battles of the mind. The battles of the mind may destroy you unless you conquer them through the Word of God. The devil tries to crowd in with whatever he can just to worry you to death. He has no lease on your mind, no authority from God to even come into your mind at all. Throw up your guard in the name of Jesus and decide you are going to be what God wants you to be. Take your stand, refusing to believe the devil.

If you’re depressed, you’re believing the devil. He brings worry and fear to your mind, trying to plant thoughts that will rob you of your joy, of your strength in the Lord—and you echo his thoughts. When you repeat the things he tells you, you become the devil’s echo. You feel a little bump and he tells you it’s cancer. You cough and the devil says it’s tuberculosis. Headache? The devil whispers, “tumor of the brain.” A twinge in your back the devil diagnoses as a disintegrating spine, and you believe him. Some of you have been “dying” for years, and you don’t have what you think you are dying with. The doctor checks you out, tells you everything is fine, and you are disappointed. You’re just sure something deadly is wrong—the devil gave you his false opinion and you accepted it.

The devil wants to crowd out every promise of God, but the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). The just shall live by faith in the promises of God, being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform (Romans 4:21). You live by the promises of God.

The Lord Is Your Healer

The Lord said, I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). And with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). I have seen many people healed just by repeating the healing promises of God. With His stripes I am healed. Some people are prayed for, but they have another pain and the devil tells them they aren’t healed. They believe him. But the Lord said, I am the Lord that healeth thee. You can have pain after you are prayed for. After you were saved, you woke up some mornings not feeling saved. But you had not committed willful sin; you still had your salvation even though you didn’t feel it. You have your salvation by faith in what God has said. You can have false symptoms of your disease or affliction after the Lord heals you.

There was a time in my very early ministry when I was close to death; I thought I had only a few days to live. I had asked the Lord so many times for healing, and still I lingered at death’s door, growing worse instead of better. It seemed as though my heart and lungs had become afflicted as well as my stomach. My body had gone down to almost a skeleton. Just a young preacher, I was living for God, but it looked as though He were going to let me die. I couldn’t understand it. My faith seemed to be all gone, but my feelings weren’t; they were bound up in my suffering. Then one night, Jesus came and healed me. My faith reached all the way to Heaven; it wasn’t gone after all. I just reached up and there it was. I had my faith, and the Lord did heal me—but I had pain after that. When you receive a miracle, the devil will try to make your faith waver. I said, “Lord, I’m going to tell everyone I’m healed, and if I die, you’ll be embarassed.” I launched way out into the deep. I didn’t look back to the times the pain had let up and I thought I was healed only to have the pain hit me again and put me in an awful condition. The devil brought all the fear and doubt that he could. Now I knew the Lord had healed me, and I did exactly what I told the Lord I would. To everyone I met, I witnessed about my miracle: God healed me! God did it! The words were shouting on the inside of me: I’m going to live! I’m going to live! I’m going to live! Still the devil talked to my mind. He said I had better wait to see if I really were healed because if I weren’t, people would think I was a liar. He said I would have one of those attacks I wouldn’t be able to hide. I faced the devil with the truth, bulldozed him under with the promises of God. I really did intend to die shouting, “I’m healed! I’m healed!” That’s what the Lord wanted. He let me know He wanted me to understand how people so deathly ill feel so I would have great compassion for them as I carry healing to the whole world. Words cannot express the feelings of a person who has death working in them. That’s the reason I don’t give up on people, no matter how severe their condition. The sick have been brought to me when doctors have said they had no chance to live. I never believe it. I believe God can heal anyone if they meet His conditions.

Jonah Faith

After you receive healing and have another pain, know that pain is just a false symptom, a lying vanity. Study the faith Jonah used when he was in the belly of the whale. Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I and thou heardest my voice. Yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy (Jonah 2:1,2,6,8). As disobedient as Jonah had been, he was still able to exercise his faith. With the seaweed wrapped around his neck, he praised the Lord for deliverance.

Those who listen to the devil, who observe lying vanities defeat their own deliverance. When you are in the belly of the whale, the stench all about you and seaweed wrapped around your neck, it’s time to use your faith, to see the healing Jesus on the shores of deliverance.

Jonah didn’t look big in the belly of the whale, but he was big enough to make the whale sick. He was in there having a prayer meeting. Jonah stirred up such a commotion in the whale’s stomach that the whale rushed to the shore and spit him out.

Think what you would do if a whale swallowed you alive. Would you fold your hands and quietly accept your lot or would you have an old-fashioned prayer meeting, praising God with your whole heart? Accept your miracle with that kind of praise. That whale of sickness has some of you. You must get away from it; Jesus came to rescue you from the whale of sickness and to give you life, good health. You could have cancer, heart trouble, paralysis, no matter what it is, you can be free. Perhaps your good doctor pronounced a death sentence on you, but he or she may not have the knowledge of the healing Christ. I believe in good doctors, good hospitals. I’m glad for all our good medical people, but when man’s science can do no more, God’s healing power can. When you’re in desperation, it’s time to pray down Heaven in all faith believing.

A Prayer for Deliverance

Help people, Lord, to put everything bad behind and to know that you are with them right now, to know that Jesus is the healer. Help them to not look back to how much they have suffered, or the seriousness of their case. God forbid that they would ever look back to think about the times they may have failed you or to weaknesses of yesterday, but help them to think about the strengths of today, and say, “I’m so glad you’re with me, Lord! I know you’ve forgiven me, and I’m with you.” Help them, Lord, to realize today that you’re with them in your greatness and power.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the good Holy Ghost, we thank you, Lord, for your power over all sicknesses and diseases, all demonic spirits. In the name of Jesus I come. Lord, I’m looking to you and claiming deliverance for all the captives. Those bound with depression, oppression: help them realize that they don’t ever have to be bothered and tormented anymore. You’ve set so many thousands free through this Jesus ministry. Set them free today, set them free, oh Jesus. Give them joy, laughter as you have given me laughter. Help them to not look back to any weaknesses or failures or disobediences of yesterday that make them weak, sad, but to keep their eyes on your great miracle and healing power.

Tell the Lord: You’re with me, Jesus, right now, and all is well. You’re going to be with me the rest of the journey, and I’m going to walk with you, oh precious Jesus. I thank you for your blood, the blood of Jesus that wipes all sin out and makes all things new. I thank you, Lord, for destroying the old and bringing the new for me. Oh precious Lord, I love you. Oh precious Jesus, I care for you and you care for me. I honor you.

Think about how all is forgiven, how He is with you and you with Him. Think of the strength of the hour for you, how wonderful you will feel as the Lord destroys that foul affliction or disease in you!

Thus saith the Lord: I am revealing my greatness that’s in the blood for my children in this the last hour. Look unto me. Be not afraid. I am with the blood-washed. Be not afraid. I will work through you and with you. I will never leave you. The blood-washed will receive my best in this final hour. The Bride will go forth in great victorious power through my shed blood. The Bride will go forth knowing the power that is hers through my blood. And no power will be able to defeat my blood-washed. I will hear the prayers of the blood-washed. I will see the tears of the blood-washed. And it will be the Spirit-filled blood-washed that will take my Gospel to the ends of the earth and will bring in the endtime harvest. My blood-washed will use the blood to set the captives free, to bring healing to the multitudes, deliverance to those that are in darkness and in great bondage. All the power that my people can use, all the power that my people will need, my people will find it in my shed blood. There will be no lack of strength; there will be no lack of love; there will be no lack of faith; there will be no lack of goodness and mercy for my blood-washed in this last hour. Rejoice, rejoice in the blood! Rejoice in the blood, and receive great strength daily, saith the Lord to this people.

Let this day be the beginning, saith the Lord, for you who have been hindered in the past. Let this day be the beginning of a new world, the new and living way for you. Enjoy all the benefits of that way. No looking back, no going back. Close the door on the bad and let the Holy Spirit seal it with the blood of Jesus; press on toward the mark of the high calling in Jesus Christ.

Thank God for the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross, thank God that blood is yours, that the power in the blood is all yours to use, oh blood-washed one. Forgetting the bad, look to all the miraculous deliverance in the blood of Christ for you.
