Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. The glory filling the tabernacle was so great that Moses could not go in. The glory that overshadowed the tabernacle is the same glory of the Lord that comes upon people in my miracle services to the extent they cannot stand. And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys (Exodus 40:34-38). The cloud of God’s glory appeared to the Israelites in Egypt to guide them to the Promised Land. They moved when the cloud moved. That’s all we have to do in this hour: move as the cloud moves and stop as the cloud stops. When we do that, we are in the divine will of God at all times. It’s that simple.

It wasn’t because the Israelites didn’t have divine guidance that they wandered in the wilderness forty years. They failed to enter the Promised Land in eleven days because they didn’t want the will of God; they chose their own way. In eleven days the Lord would have carried them right on into Canaan—had they trusted Him. After the Israelites crossed the Red Sea in such a miraculous manner—water walled up to the left and right—after they saw the waters close in to drown the army of the enemy, they took their eyes off God. Fear, doubt, rebellion came in. They wanted God to do things according to their will, not His. Therefore they turned their backs on the Lord in spite of the great ways in which He had manifested Himself.

With all the signs and wonders God performed in Egypt on behalf of the Israelites, with the miracle cloud and pillar of fire provided, one would think they would have obeyed God no matter what. When the cloud moved for the Israelites right through the Red Sea, not one person stayed behind that we have record of. There probably were some doubters who trembled in fear as they walked across on dry ground. Being even more afraid of Pharaoh behind, however, they followed the cloud with the others. They may have thought they were taking a gamble, but the real gamble is facing life without the Lord. What would you have done? The cloud was moving through the sea. Would you have kept up?

The Israelites could have followed the cloud anywhere. They had the power to do it, the drawing power of God. Never would they have been defeated by their enemies had they not failed to follow the cloud.

Why didn’t they keep up with that cloud the rest of the way? They let the devil deceive them. Take a lesson from their mistakes, and don’t fall into the same trap. The story of the Israelites was put into the Bible to teach us the right way to travel the wilderness of this life. It will not be an easy journey, but the Lord promised to be with us all the way.

Moses’ Miracle Rod

To forget God after He has done mighty miracles brings sure downfall. Remembering self instead of God takes the life out of your faith in God. Do you worry about what you don’t have or do you thank God for what you have? God doesn’t expect you to work with that which you don’t possess. Use what is in your hand. Moses had only a rod in his hand to bring multitudes of people out from slavery. All you need today is the rod of God: His Holy Word.

The Bible is God’s rod of truth. The Word of God is sufficient for you, just as Moses’ rod was sufficient for him. The rod of Moses separated the waters of the Red Sea, and the rod of the Holy Word of God separates our waters of strife for us today. Realize what a mighty rod the Word is; know the delivering power of what you can hold in your hands. Whenever you open the Bible, let the power of God leap from the pages, the joy of the Lord spill over from it as His living waters flow to you. The shield of faith found in the Word is stronger than all the powers of darkness around you.

A Thundering, Smoking Mountain

And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever (Exodus 19:9). The Lord spoke, but the people didn’t accept His voice. Because their consciences were guilty, their hearts filled with fear.

And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly (Exodus 19:18). The Lord knew He would have trouble with unstable hearts; and He wanted everyone to be certain that He was God all powerful. Sinai shook; lightning flashed and thunder roared as the angels sounded the voice of a trumpet.

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake (Hebrews 12:21). Moses, that great man of God, shook all over like the quaking mountain. As the voice of the Lord came roaring forth out of the cloud, people thought they would die on the spot.

Had only the Israelites followed the cloud…but when all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die (Exodus 20:18,19). Tell the Lord to never speak to us again, Moses, the Israelites pleaded.

But the Bride doesn’t feel that way; she’s learned to hear and to love the voice of the Lord through the power of the Holy Ghost. Divinity speaks through the Bride, uses her tongue. It isn’t under the control of a human spirit, but of the Holy Spirit, the Divine One speaking. When the earth begins to tremble with the glory of God, she shouts Hallelujah, the Lord is in this place!

His Sheep Hear His Voice

The Bride carries no condemnation; she is close to her Lord, walking hand in hand with Him. She knows His voice. Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27). His sheep will not follow a stranger; they recognize His voice; they know it. This is what Calvary has done for the human race, brought man the opportunity for close fellowship with his God, great reality. It’s offered to all who will allow Calvary to have its perfect work.

The Bride today is saying, Lord, speak; your servant heareth. Speak, Lord; we’re listening. She longs to hear His voice every moment of the day and night. Delighting in His talking to her, she never gets enough of Him. She rejoices in His warm fellowship. Divinity walking on planet Earth today with the Bride of Christ…. What a great hour it is indeed!

The Wings of the Spirit

The cloud is moving faster and faster. It will take the wings of the Spirit to keep up with the cloud. The Lord told the Israelites: Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself (Exodus 19:4). It will be said of the Bride of Christ that the Lord brought them out on the wings of His Holy Spirit. But before they can ride on the wings of His Holy Spirit, they must be baptized in it. To make the Rapture you must have the baptism in the Spirit. Determine to follow the cloud all the way into salvation, the Holy Spirit baptism and daily yielding to the will of God. When it reaches Rapture ground, you will be there, too, mounting higher and higher as you rise from this Earth’s wilderness to meet the Groom in the air.

Bridle Your Tongue

Following the cloud, we are hurrying faster and faster. We must keep up. No time is allotted for grumbling; those who grumble will find that the cloud has moved off and left them. They will wonder why the Lord isn’t with them any longer, why He has forsaken them. He hasn’t forsaken them; they have forsaken Him. They stayed behind to grumble when the cloud moved. How can they catch up with the cloud? By shutting their mouths, by cutting off the grumbling and complaining.

The Israelites learned how to keep silent when they marched around the walls of Jericho. They obeyed Joshua who commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10). Because of their obedience, the Lord brought miracle deliverance.

Obedience also will put the bridle of the love of God on the tongue and keep His love and kindness coming forth. Wearing such a bridle means you have power over self. Anyone in Christ who has power completely over self wins just like Jesus won when He was here on Earth. All the power furnished to Jesus is furnished to God’s obedient.

Unload the Excess Baggage

The Israelites knew God dwelt in the cloud that rested over the tabernacle. Before the cloud moved on, God gave them time to gather their belongings. God has given you time to gather yourself out of the world, but He won’t continue to wait if you refuse to move. The world has nothing to do with God. Those who make up the bridal company will have to unload everything of self, everything of the world, everything that is a part of the devil.

Of course the Bride is in the wilderness, but the Lord is there with her. Sure she is on a treacherous journey, but what does she care? Persecution and tribulation only drive God’s children deeper into the Lord.

Walking in the truth, the Bride is free of the world. No one can be part of the world and still keep up with Jesus. Anything that belongs to the world brings too much weight to a person, and that one soon loses sight of the cloud. Some lag far behind the cloud because they carry a sack full of the world’s goods. Only by unloading the world’s excess baggage can they keep up with the cloud.

If you come to the place you think you can’t keep up, then look around and see how much of the world’s junk you are carrying. Unload the worthless and take on the valuable, that which really counts. Replace the world’s works of the flesh with God’s works of the Spirit, and you can keep up with the cloud. Your very life depends on keeping up with the cloud, your eternal future. If you don’t keep up with the cloud in this final journey through the wilderness, you won’t make the Rapture but will be spewed into the Tribulation Period. The Israelites were disobedient to God, and He left them to wander in the wilderness forty years. God is a God of love, but He knows how to rain judgment.

In Patience Possess Your Soul

We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:3-5). In your patience possess ye your souls (Luke 21:19). The Bride will pray for the patience that Jesus had, and this means tribulations will come. Patience is necessary for the Bride today. She will feel the need of all the available help that God has given in the past to finish the battle for Him now. The apostle Paul gloried in tribulations that taught him patience. It led to the love of God being shed abroad in his heart. In his patience he possessed his soul.

Perilous Times

Israel saw great manifestations of the Lord’s power, and then lost sight of them. The least little thing would throw the wanderers off course. They didn’t have obedient spirits but were haughty, high-minded. Their disobedience put them on dangerous ground.

Dangers await those in the world today, also; perilous times have come. Paul wrote about this hour in a letter to Timothy: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:1-5). In these days of perilous times, people are indeed haughty, high-minded, not wanting the way of the Lord, too restless to follow His cloud. Their own star is what they look for, their cherished dreams of selfishness. The Bible teaches to follow the Glory Cloud, Jesus; follow hard after Him. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we’re geared to keep up with Him, to be in step.

Only one way is open to eternal life: the way of the Lord. He is revealing Himself so clearly that no one needs lose the way. This is Heaven’s glorious hour, Heaven’s hour for Earth people, an hour of victory for God in the final war between Him and the devil over the Bride of Christ. But it is also an hour filled with perils and pitfalls for those who detour from the cloud.

The Apple of God’s Eye

The Bride of Christ is the apple of God’s eye. God will do anything for the Church of Jesus Christ that His Son purchased with His own blood. We have no reason to be weak because the strength of Heaven is with us. We have the strength of His Word. Depression flees when the happiness of God is living and dwelling on the inside of us. Great vision from here to eternity— the vision of the Lord through the eyes of the Bride—beholds Rapture ground.

The manifestations of the Lord are mighty and great indeed, and will become greater and greater, saith the Lord. The voice of the Lord will become louder and louder in the ears of God’s people in this final hour.

All Heaven is backing up what God is doing in the world. Millions and millions, possibly billions of angels have joined in for this final rescue of lost humanity.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh, Jesus tells us in Luke 21:28. The Bride is holding her head high. The world declares that she is proud—she is, but not from vanity; it’s pride in her Lord. In return, the Lord delights in her. She is the treasure of His heart.

Adorned in God’s Promises

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him (Psalm 18:30). Delighting in His Holy Word, the Bride has adorned herself in the holiness and righteousness of it, adorned herself with His promises to her, her jewels. Proudly she wears the wealth of His promises, more valuable to her than all the gold, diamonds and pearls on planet Earth. Her future is just as bright as the promises of God. There hath not failed one word of all his good promise (I Kings 8:56).

The cloud is moving faster, I say again, than ever before. Only through the Holy Spirit can we keep up with the cloud, only through the Holy Spirit. The Israelites did not have Calvary or the Holy Spirit baptism to help them keep up, but we do; we have a Calvary first and then we have the Holy Ghost baptism.

The Bride of Christ will follow the cloud because she loves God and trusts His promise of victory to the obedient. She will arrive at Rapture ground no matter what the devil tells people, no matter how many doubt the Rapture. The Bride will be on time; she will be ready, her garments spotless, free of all stain of disobedience.

The Bride’s Attire

Walking in the shoes of Jesus, the Bride is putting on the whole armor of God. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:11,14-17).

The Bride is wearing her wedding garment, adorned in the righteousness, holiness, purity of God and covered with His mighty protective armor. His love is shining upon her, and her eyes are beaming with that love. She has no spots of the world. Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25-27).

The Bride Won’t Turn Back

The Bride is going to follow the cloud; she will keep up. No one and nothing will hinder her in this final hour. In the manner of Daniel’s uncompromising stand for the Lord, the Bride’s stand also is one of no compromise. Like the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace, the Bride will follow so closely that Jesus, the Fourth Man, will be with her in her furnace of afflictions, trials and tribulations. Clinging to the Old Rugged Cross, the Bride knows the way of the Cross leads home, that every step she takes brings her a little closer. A pilgrim and a stranger, the Bride doesn’t look on this world as her home. She has taken out citizenship papers in Glory. Not crying over her lot, not hampered by self-pity, the Bride is an eager worker for her Master and Lord. Every moment of the day and night the Bride seeks to do His will. No sacrifice is too great for her; for she is willing to serve, willing to do anything and everything the Lord wants. Take the whole world, but give me Jesus is her song. She won’t turn back.

Don’t look at those going off in a different direction; don’t look at loved ones refusing to acknowledge the Lord: follow the cloud. Those who have been taught the same Gospel you have been taught are responsible for accepting it or rejecting it. Just as you must unload that which hinders, they must unload. You can’t unload for them. They will have to give up the world just like you gave it up if they expect to follow the cloud.

The cloud is moving, I repeat; and it will move faster and faster. We have a limited time to leave this world’s wilderness. Everything the Lord wants done we must accomplish; therefore, we must keep up with the cloud. Only when we keep up with the cloud will we have strength to do all His work. And only the totally obedient who keep up with the cloud will the Lord be able to use.

The Early Church found the cloud—salvation and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. They were obedient for a number of years to everything Jesus taught and brought. Because of their obedience, they had total victory over the devil in the beginning. Nothing could defeat them. In a short period of time they evangelized their known world.

The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (John 1:14). The Word Jesus is our cloud of victory, the way. Thank God for Jesus, the Son of God, the Living Truth, the Living Word, the Living Promise! Thank God for the cloud of His presence hovering over His children.

Keep up with the cloud. Never let anything discourage you and never, never turn back. Don’t be weakened by the past, present or future. Nothing must be allowed to take the strength of God from you, to rob you of using the wisdom and knowledge of God and His Word, of His love and faith. Let nothing hinder you from using the miracle power of God. It’s a must for each of His children.

See the Salvation of the Lord

The revelation of the cloud in all its glory and power is great strength to the Bride of Christ. The presence of God is in that cloud, all His power available to the Bride. Our faith will not be shaken by the Red Sea crossings of our day. Whatever the difficulties, God is more than able to see us through. We will do as Moses instructed the Israelites on the banks of the Red Sea: Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today (Exodus 14:13). The Bride of Christ will stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

Just as the pillar of fire protected the Israelites from Pharaoh’s mighty army, the power of the Holy Ghost protects the Bride of Jesus Christ in this final hour. The devil cannot break through that protection. You need not be afraid; just stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). Be still and trust Him.

The devil would like us to talk ourselves out of the blessings of God, to see us run to and fro in doubt and indecision; but those are the times to be still and know that God is in control. Why talk yourself into a fit of fear? The Lord is more than able to help you when you turn to Him in faith, nothing doubting. Be still and know that He is God, and you will have no room for fear.

In great expectation, the Bride will stand, in great love, great faith as the waters separate for her. She will not be afraid of the demonic powers coming after her. She knows through Christ she can not only resist them all, but with the Word of God trample every devil underfoot. Jesus said, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). Through the Word of the Living God, through the name of Jesus, the Bride will overcome. There is power in the Word of God for the obedient Bride of Christ, wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb! Blessed be the name of the Lord!

We’re taking this Gospel to the whole world. Yes, we’re in the wilderness, but we’re not afraid. We have come out of sin’s bondage; and although we knew the wilderness was ahead, we also knew the cloud of God’s miracle power would go before us. We decided one day that if the cloud didn’t move neither would we. Going to the Upper Room, we received the pillar of fire, the Holy Spirit baptism. We have it all: Jesus wrapped in a cloud of glory, God, the Holy Ghost and fire from On High. We don’t need anything else.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust (Psalm 91:4). When you trust in God, fear will melt like a snowflake in the desert. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has all power. He speaks and what He says comes to pass because He is Almighty God. Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast (Psalm 33:8,9).

Nothing Impossible with God

For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). Everything that surrounds you, everything that affects you is covered by God’s promises. Your case is secure through miraculous power. The Lord tells us, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? Jeremiah didn’t think there was. Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee (Jeremiah 32:17). Praise God for such power available to you! To find it, just follow the cloud.

Jesus warned us in John 16:33, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Be of good cheer, the Lord has promised to supply all your needs: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

God has seen to it that His obedient children are fully equipped to make this journey through the wilderness, those who have been to Calvary and the Upper Room. You who are obedient to His will have the cloud of His presence, and you have the pillar of fire. You are complete. In Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:9,10). When something is complete there is nothing to be added. We are complete in Jesus Christ, in salvation, in the Upper Room experience, and in total obedience to Him daily.

God Wants to Heal You

The Lord is here with His mighty gift of miracles to work wonders for His obedient children; it’s promised in His Word. His Word is our very life.

Get ready for your miracle, to be healed all over. The Bride of Christ must do the work of the Lord. He is not calling on us to die but to live through Him in a way we have never lived before, and to carry His Gospel to all people throughout the earth. Since the Lord has a work for you, you can expect Him to heal you, to get you well to do His will.

God wants to manifest Himself to let all know that He heals the sick of all manner of sicknesses and diseases. If you have a sickness in your body, it didn’t come from God, but from the devil. God loves you; it’s the devil who tortures people with sicknesses and diseases.

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him (II Timothy 2:12). The Bible doesn’t mean suffering with sicknesses and diseases, for it promises the Lord is the one who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:3). The healings and miracles Jesus performed when He walked the earth He will still do today: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).

I say again, the Lord wants to heal you; it isn’t the will of the Lord for some disease to eat your life out. Jesus is not only your sin-bearer, He is your sickness bearer. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). Jesus brought the two-fold atonement: salvation and healing. He is all we need.

The Bride looks up to see her Lord and Master, His love for her, His healing hands and power of deliverance. Wide awake in His Spirit, the Bride declares like Stephen of old: I see Jesus! I see Jesus! I see Jesus for the miracle I need. I see Jesus for my heart healing, for my eyesight, for these paralyzed limbs. I see Jesus! In return the Bride hears the voice of the Lord saying: I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). You can be healed, oh Child of God, by the mighty power of God. You can be delivered. Follow the cloud; that’s all you have to do. Follow the cloud is the cry of the Holy Spirit.

If a miracle of healing is your need, let me pray with you right now: Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. Lay a healing hand on them today. Open the eyes of the blind; unstop deaf ears. Heal paralyzed limbs, and bring hearts and lungs to normal. Heal that cancer victim, that one with diabetes. Heal the people today of all manner of sicknesses and diseases in the all-powerful name of Jesus. And save the lost; hear them as they confess all their sins, as they ask for your forgiveness. They understand that Jesus died for them, and now they will live for Him. The have faith in His shed blood that cleanses them from all sin. Come into their hearts, Lord Jesus; come in!

God is healing people today, soul, mind and body. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Keep Up with the Cloud

The Lord loves you, and the cloud is moving. Thank God He is visible, real to us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Follow the cloud; follow the cloud. If you are determined to keep up with the cloud, pray with me:

Oh, God, I love you. I will do anything for you. I will follow any path for you. I know you will go with me all the way. I will walk into any valley you want me to enter. I know you will go before me; I know you will wrap yourself in a cloud of glory and reveal yourself to me. I will never lag behind. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, through the mighty anointing of the Spirit daily, I will keep up, in step with you, dear Jesus. In keeping step with you I will win the lost at any cost. I will carry the tears of Calvary that stained the Old Rugged Cross, the tears of my Master. The Holy Spirit has gathered them to me; they are my tears. You are mine, Lord. I will pay any price to carry your tears, dear Jesus to a lost and dying world until the last soul has come in who will surrender to your call. You can count on me, Jesus. You can count on me. I will follow the cloud.
