What is faith? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:1-3).

When the Lord sees faith in people, it always moves Him. When Jesus was on Earth, He marveled at those who had great faith; and the centurion with the dying servant was one of those people. And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Matthew 8:5-8,10,13). Jesus just spoke the words, and the centurion’s servant was miraculously healed.

The Bible mentions a certain ruler whose great faith enabled Jesus to bring his daughter back to life. While he [Jesus] spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise [crying and carrying on], He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. [That showed they were hypocrites.] But when the people were put forth [The unbelievers were cleared out.], he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land (Matthew 9:18,23-26).

Jesus had to get rid of the unbelievers because He can only do His mighty works through the channel of faith. When He was on Earth, people who did not have faith tied His hands; and He could not move for them. And when he [Jesus] was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary?…Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:54-58). Those people saw Jesus merely as the son of Joseph, but we must see Him as the Son of God.

Jesus Uncovers Hypocrites

Some people tried to get Jesus’ attention by using flattery; but He knew their hearts, and He exposed them. And they sent out unto him [Jesus] their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites (Matthew 22:16-18)?

The Bible gives another example of flattery in Luke. And it came to pass, as he [Jesus] spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it (Luke 11:27,28).

In the Word is where you will get your faith. The Bible says, Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). You have to study the Word, not just read it. Some people boast about how many times they have read through the Bible, but that doesn’t mean anything. What matters is what you learn from it. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

When you read a passage in the Bible that you don’t understand, stop and let the Holy Ghost teach you what it means. If you will look up the first place the subject was mentioned in the Bible, it will usually shed more light on what you are trying to understand. Every word in the Bible came from the mouth of God, and the Word will endure forever. But the word of the Lord endureth forever (I Peter 1:25).

Jesus preached the Word to people; and when they believed it, it generated faith. And again he [Jesus] entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy [for which there was no cure], which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee (Mark 2:1-5).

Through the faith that Jesus saw in the people, the divine blood went into action to forgive the man’s sins and to heal his body. It was not those who held high positions or the rich who got Jesus’ attention; it was faith.

Jesus Rewarded Faith

Faith is a gift from God to every person, but we have to use it. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). God starts by giving you a measure; and if you use the first measure, He gives you a second one and a third one. However, God does not waste His faith. If you don’t use it, God will stop measuring it out to you. Then you will find it hard to believe the things of God.

As Jesus was walking down the street, a woman with great faith was healed by just touching the hem of His garment. And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour (Matthew 9:20-22). The woman never said a word to Jesus, but she was made whole through her faith.

As Jesus left a home where He had just performed a great miracle, two blind men cried out to Him in faith, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you (Matthew 9:27-29). Those two statements were all Jesus said to the two men. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it (Matthew 9:30).

If you want people to spread some news, just ask them not to tell it to anyone. Jesus was wise and knew that; so when He requested for the men to keep quiet, it just set them aflame, and they ran everywhere telling people that they had received their sight. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country (Matthew 9:31).

Later in Matthew, the Bible tells of a woman with great faith who would not be denied. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us (Matthew 15:22,23).

The disciples did not have much patience with the woman; but he [Jesus] answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs (Matthew 15:24-26).

Jesus had put her low, but she did not get angry; she humbled herself and said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour (Matthew 15:27,28). The woman was determined; and because of that, her daughter was healed.

Use Divine Faith

The truth gives you faith; and in the ministry of the Early Church disciples and apostles, it was faith that got results. Some people think they have to jump around, shout and do all kinds of things to get God’s attention; but Jesus told the disciples simply to have faith in God (Mark 11:22). What He was saying was that we must not just have faith in God but the faith of God, and we can have that faith when we are His sons and daughters. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).

God’s faith works when you yield to Him and to His divine love, divine goodness and divine peace. He said, Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). He also said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). He wants to talk to us.

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you (Luke 17:5,6). Faith is so powerful that it takes just a little bit of faith to do great things.

It was faith in the name of Jesus that made the crippled man to walk at the gate Beautiful. The man had asked Peter for money; but he told him, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength (Acts 3:6,7).

The apostles had just recently received the Holy Ghost, and Peter was full of the Spirit when he prayed for the man. That same power is on the table for all children of God, but you have to believe to have it; and you cannot pass it on to others unless you have it yourself.

And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it [that the people greatly wondered], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus…And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all (Acts 3:11-13,16). When Jesus sees faith today, He admires it. Then He will work through your faith to bring you help and healing for your soul, mind and body.

Be Made Whole

In Jesus’ day, there was a pool called Bethesda where an angel would come down at certain times and stir up the water. When that happened, the first person who got into the water would be healed no matter what condition they were in. At that pool one day, Jesus met a man who had been lame for 38 years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked (John 5:6-9). That poor man was unable to get himself into the water, but Jesus healed him.

Since Christ came, we don’t have to wait for an angel to stir up the waters. Divine, healing waters are flowing like mighty rivers and making seas of living, healing waters all over the world. The Lord is asking everyone, “Wilt thou be made whole?” He wants people to see His miracles and become witnesses for Him.

The Bible says that God will also renew our strength and our youth. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5).

The Lord renewed my youth when I was just 23 years old. I had watched my body go down to almost a skeleton, and I knew I had only a few more days to live. It looked like God wasn’t going to heal me until one night, Jesus came and made me completely whole; and I still have that miracle yet today. We are taking that miracle Gospel to people all over the world.

The Lord’s faith, love and divinity are ours to use. Our hands must be His, and He wants to use them as His very own. Our hearts must beat in rhythm with God’s heart just as Adam’s and Eve’s did before they sinned against God.

See through Faith

The Bible says, For we walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7). When you truly believe, your faith will become sight; and you will see the manifestations of the fruit of faith. It may be today, tomorrow or in eternity; but real faith always overcomes and ends in victory.

When you live by faith and walk by faith, you can go to Heaven on the road of faith. It is a strait and narrow road with no detours, and you cannot get to Heaven any other way. You first have to go through the strait gate that is here on Earth to get on the narrow road that leads to Heaven. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat (Matthew 7:13).

You should never blame God for anything. He has put everything we need on the table for us, and we must see and understand those things through faith. We have to obey His truth through faith, and we cannot please God without it. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). To diligently seek Him means to seek Him with your whole heart.

The Psalmist knew that he had to use faith to see the things of God. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Faith sees like God sees, and we must let it see many things for us in this final hour. And the things that we never see through faith here on Earth, we will see later as the eternal ages roll. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (II Corinthians 4:18).

Face Trials through Faith

This is the most trying time that has ever been on Earth because the devil knows we don’t have long, but we must take Jesus to the whole world no matter what. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14).

Jesus told us of many signs that would appear just before He returned. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows (Mark 13:8).

You will be tested and tried; but if you stay right with God and walk in the goodness of the Lord, you will be victorious every time. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ (I Peter 1:7).

If your faith is not real, it will be destroyed when it is tried; and if you do what may appear to be good works without faith, they will be burned on the Day of Rewards. Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (I Corinthians 3:13-15).

When your load gets heavy and the trials seem to come with no end in sight, you must let faith give you eyes to see that the Lord will bring you out. The Bible says that tribulations bring patience. We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience (Romans 5:3). Jesus said, In your patience possess ye your souls (Luke 21:19).

There are times when you have to use patience until faith becomes sight. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise (Hebrews 10:35,36). You will receive the promise after you have done the will of God, and sometimes His will includes waiting with patience.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). We are getting very close to the finish line of life’s race; and when we cross it, we will reap God’s rewards for all eternity. But if you faint, nobody can carry you across the finish line; so you must continue running the race with Jesus.

Press On through Faith

The Word says that we must earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). It is divine faith that will get us to where we need to be in the Lord, not human faith. Jesus always called human faith “little faith.” He said to the disciples, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:31)?

Human faith is weak and can see only so far, but divine faith can see around corners and through mountains. How do you get that kind of faith? The Bible says, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

When some people fast, they just become weak; and they are not conscious of what God is doing because they don’t use faith to see God’s goodness. They are like the Pharisees and Sadducees Jesus spoke of. When ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. [They were just full of ego.] Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly (Matthew 6:16-18).

You must also pray through faith. The Bible says, Men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1). “To faint” does not mean to die but to give up, and then you will lose the battle you are fighting. You cannot afford to faint in this last hour, and the faith you must have will not work if you faint.

Paul said, For consider him [Jesus] that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (Hebrews 12:3). Because we can faint in our minds without fainting in our bodies, some people don’t realize they are fainting along the way. If your faith is not working for you, then check to see if you are fainting in your mind.

Paul spoke again of fainting saying, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9). There is a price to pay to serve the Lord, but you must dare to reach out for more faith. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day (II Corinthians 4:16). You will not faint if you are constantly growing in the Lord.

Miracles of Faith

Just as faith became sight for the heroes of the faith mentioned in Hebrews 11, faith will become sight for us. Noah built the ark by faith. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith (Hebrews 11:7). It took Noah and his family 120 years to build the ark while people stood by mocking and declaring, “It won’t float!” Those people did not have faith sight.

It did look overwhelming in the natural, but Noah did not faint. He believed to see, and his faith did indeed become sight. If Noah and his family had not seen through faith for those 120 years, the ark never would have been finished. But it was finished, and it did float. And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth (Genesis 7:17).

Faith became sight for the widow woman in Elijah’s day. Her meal barrel was nearly empty, and all she had left was a handful of meal and a little bit of oil. God sent Elijah to her; and when he arrived, he told her to bake him a cake. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah (I Kings 17:12-16).

There was a famine in the land; but when Elijah told the woman to make him a cake, she had faith, and she could see that a miracle was about to come. When she gave the cake to Elijah, her meal barrel and oil cruse were filled; and they stayed full throughout the rest of the famine. Her faith brought forth a miracle of sight!

Abraham Believed

It took great faith for Abraham and Sarah to believe they would have a child in their old age. An angel came to tell them the news; and at first, the thought was so far-fetched that Sarah laughed. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son (Genesis 18:11-14).

Then they both believed, and their faith became sight when Isaac was born. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised (Hebrews 11:11).

Later, the Lord told Abraham to go to Mount Moriah and sacrifice his son as a burnt offering; but Abraham had faith that if he sacrificed Isaac, God would have to raise him up. He knew that God had promised to make a mighty nation from his seed, so Abraham set out with his son Isaac to obey the Lord. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son [who we figure was around 12 years old]; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together (Genesis 22:6).

Isaac carrying the wood was a type of Jesus carrying the Cross. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son (Genesis 22:9-13).

The Lord did not make Abraham go through with actually offering his son, but the Bible tells us that he did offer Isaac in spirit. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure (Hebrews 11:17-19).

Abraham was faithful, and Isaac’s seed did multiply. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable (Hebrews 11:12). We must have that same kind of faith.

Saved through Grace

Abraham’s obedience was a type of God sacrificing His Son on Calvary, but there was no way to save God’s Son and us, too. Jesus had to come to Earth and shed His divine blood; that was the only way.

The Lord told me that when He gave Jesus, He gave all of His love. He even had to turn His back on the scene when His Son was crying, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Matthew 27:46)? But Jesus was not really forsaken, and those of us who are sons and daughters of God are not forsaken either. For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

Many people do not realize that Christ came by grace and not by the Law. Paul said, For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace (Romans 4:13,16). Paul also said, That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14).

Christ’s sacrifice came about through grace, and we must believe through grace. Jesus said…If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

You can believe God for all things if you are living in grace, and no one can even be saved without it. But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved (Acts 15:11). You cannot see your soul, and you don’t even know what it looks like; but you know you have one, and you must use the blood of Jesus to cleanse it through grace and faith. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9).

You also have to be humble through grace. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly (Romans 12:3). If you will take on the humility of Jesus, you won’t have any trouble staying humble. Ego is of the devil, yet you can see so many Christians and even ministers today who are filled with ego instead of the power of God.

Believe to See

Go to the Bible and study all the times faith became sight when Jesus walked among men. And as he [Jesus] went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called…And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way (Mark 10:46,47,49,51,52). Jesus said, “Thy faith hath made thee whole” again and again while He was here on Earth; and He is still saying it today.

Remember the story of Lazarus and how Jesus told Lazarus’ sister Martha that she would have to believe to see. Jesus saith unto her [Martha], Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go (John 11:40-44).

When you have miracle faith, you can hold on to God and walk only by faith. You don’t always have to see because you know that God is with you and that He knows the way you should take. Then when you are tried like Job was, you will come forth as pure gold. He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold (Job 23:10).

Soon, faith will become sight to many of us as we are lifted above the Earth into the everlasting arms of our Lord on Rapture Day. Jesus said He is coming for those who are watching for Him. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them (Luke 12:37).

Thomas Doubted

Jesus wants us to believe to see miracles, but Thomas had to see to believe. When Jesus appeared to the disciples after His resurrection, Thomas was not there because he had fainted in his mind; so the other disciples went to tell him about it. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25).

Thomas stayed away from the others and was miserable for eight days. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you (John 20:26). Jesus appeared without even opening the door; and then He looked right at Thomas and said, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing (John 20:27). Jesus really scolded Thomas for his unbelief.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:28,29). Let these words sink deep into your innermost being and know that when you hold fast to faith, it will become sight. However, the devil will do everything he can to make you think that your faith is not real and that you will never see the evidence of it. He will tell you that it has been too long, and the answer will never come; but you must not listen.

Want God’s Will

You never have to worry about faith producing victory because that is what divine faith does. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (I John 5:4). Faith will give you sight again and again if you will only believe.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23). Keep in mind that you cannot just say or ask for whatever you feel like; you must be directed by the Holy Ghost. He is the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead, and you must have Him dwelling within you. Then He will make intercession for you with groanings that you could never speak on your own. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).

Jesus will make intercession for you, too, if you ask for things according to the will of God. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Jesus Himself said, Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24).

By Faith, You Can Be Saved

If you want to be able to use your faith and you want your faith to become sight, you must first come to Jesus. Say this prayer right now: Oh, God, save my soul! I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home; and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I know you have always loved me and been good to me, and now I have come home to never go back into the night again. I am all yours, Lord, and I believe that your divine blood washes away all of my sins! Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in! If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come. You are now born new, a son or a daughter of the Lord; and you qualify for physical healing.

Believe to See Your Miracle

Miracles bring people to God, and we have seen thousands of people come to God in just one of our crusade services. The Lord not only cleanses hearts of all sin, He re-creates physical hearts that are afflicted. Jesus came to give us abundant life. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). And you can have miracles in abundance if you will really serve God. You may have a deadly disease, but the Lord needs you in this final hour; so let Him make you whole.

Lord, here they are. I curse the AIDS in the bodies of the people today. Heal those with cancer, heart trouble, lung trouble, diabetes and those who have had strokes. Heal the little children, Lord, and re-create what is needed for those who have been born deformed or with just part of a brain. Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Heal!

Now, get well and then write or email to tell me about it. If you had AIDS, go to your doctor and get the report that there is no more AIDS; and then send a copy to us. We are documenting AIDS cases because there is no medical cure for it, only through God. The divine blood cures everything, but you must go and sin no more. God bless.
