Jesus said to a man with a withered hand, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other (Mark 3:5). That was such an easy request, and that is how easy it is to receive miracles from God. Unfortunately, some of you are trying hard to receive, but you’re doing it in the wrong way. You’re using your reasoning power instead of your faith power, and that won’t work.

If God would tell some of you to stretch out your hand and it would be made whole, you would first try to decide if you think that could really happen. That’s because you’re focused on your condition or what you have been told about it rather than on what God can do. The Lord wouldn’t tell you to stretch out your hand if you couldn’t do it. God asks us to do simple, little things, and we have to do them by faith.

You don’t have to know how God works or how He brings about His miracles. You just have to obey His simple instructions and believe, and then you will receive. You may be so tormented in your body; and then suddenly, it’s gone. That is what happens when you receive a miracle from the Lord. Then you must be a witness and tell others about what He has done for you.

Under the Miracle Hand of God

Doing the little things is what counts with God; but they have to be the right little things, or you will rob yourself of the blessings you could receive. Search the pages of the Bible; and you will find that it was the wrong little things, the little disobediences, that destroyed man and his fellowship with God. Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes (Song of Solomon 2:15). Adam and Eve lived under the miracle hand of God in the Garden of Eden, and we all need to get back to that place.

Under the miracle hand of God, there doesn’t have to be any sickness in your body. Adam and Eve were never to have been sick or had even one pain. Later, the Lord told the Israelites, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26).

In this last miracle-outpouring hour, God’s children will have to live completely under the miracle hand of God and in the shelter of His miracle power. The Lord is seeking to draw us into that place where there is healing for soul, mind and body. Many of you are battling more than you should be, and it prevents you from doing the perfect will of God; so you have to get out of the places and situations God doesn’t want you to be in and find refuge under His miracle hand.

God’s Road Is Not Easy

In this day and age, you will have to fight devils on every side like never before. Some of you are battling in your mind, and others are battling in your body. You get so discouraged when the devil comes at you in ways you never imagined, and you think God will never bring you out; but He will if you will use your faith and believe. Then you will be able to say, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3).

When the darts of the enemy seem to be coming at you from every direction, you may be looking for an easy path out; but God never said the road would be easy. Jesus said, In the world ye shall have tribulation (John 16:33). You cry, ”Lord, I didn’t know it would be this hard.“ But Jesus went on to say, Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). You can overcome too when you keep your eyes on Jesus.

Seek the Lord Early

You have to be prepared every morning to fight the worst battles possible because you never know what you will face each day. Then whatever comes your way, you will have the strength, courage and power you need to come out a winner. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy (Psalm 61:2,3). Your spiritual storm shelter must be ready to go; so if you need it, it will be there.

Some of you don’t prepare for the storms until you are in the midst of one. Then it’s too late, and your battle will be much harder than it should be. You must look to the Lord every day and say as the Psalmist did, My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up (Psalm 5:3).

You must start every day on your knees, so you will be able to stand on your feet during the day no matter what happens. Unfortunately, too many people start the day on their feet and wind up on their knees. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me (Proverbs 8:17). If you wait to pray until the end of the day, you will find yourself unprepared so many times for what you have to face during the day.

Spending time in God’s presence each morning is a little thing, but it brings great results. Prayer time may not always be what you feel like doing, but the strength you receive from it is marvelous; and it prepares you to meet the devil. Some people may bark or growl when the devil comes around, but they aren’t ready to fight. The devil isn’t afraid of your noise, but he is afraid of the power in the blood of Jesus.

Simple Instructions

The Lord doesn’t tell us we have to do big things for Him; He just wants us to do little things. When Jesus met a boy who had been blind all of his life, the boy just had to do a little thing and stand still while Jesus put some mud on his eyes. When he [Jesus] had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay (John 9:6).

Then the boy simply had to wash off the mud. And [Jesus] said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:7). If some of you would get the mud washed off of you, you could have whatever you need from the Lord.

When Jesus needed to feed a multitude of people, all a young boy had to do was give Jesus his five little bread loaves and two fish. Then the miracle-working Jesus multiplied them. And he [Jesus] commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled... And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children (Matthew 14:19-21).

David Did the Little Things

Some of you can’t understand why you don’t get any more than you do from the Lord, but it’s because you are doing little things that are wrong. You don’t pay attention to them like you should because you think they don’t really matter, but they do.

Some parents overlook little things in their children, and they regret it later when those little things become big things. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). It is the same in your spiritual life. If you overlook the little things that are wrong, they will become big things later that will keep you on Earth when Jesus comes to take His children home.

David’s slingshot was just a little thing, and it was so simple for him to pick up those five little stones. David did something little, and God did something big when He enabled David to kill Goliath. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. (I Samuel 17:50). Show me someone who is doing the little things for God, and I will show you someone with great faith. David had great faith.

Some of you are waiting on the Lord to give you something to do; and you say, ”Oh, God, I will do anything.“ Then when the Lord does give you something to do, you try to pass it on to someone else because you think it’s too little for you. You think He should ask you to do something outstanding that will cause others to take notice, but that is not God’s way. What is outstanding in the Lord’s eyes is for you to be willing to do the little things.

David was willing to pick up those five little stones, but some of you would have wanted to do it your way. You would have filled a whole sack with the biggest rocks you could find in hopes of scaring the devil, but the devil is not scared of you unless you are going after him with the divine blood. The devil can’t stand the blood.

Believe and Receive

God’s plan is for you to do something little, and God will do something big. You do the possible things, and He will do the impossible things. Some people think their case is too hard for the Lord; but the Bible says, With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Never let the devil focus your mind on impossibilities and make you think you have to somehow work out a miracle yourself because that will never happen. You will just get discouraged and give up.

Jesus said, They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18). Isn’t that simple? Some of you receive prayer and then go home and try to get yourself well. If you have another ache or pain, you get anxious and stressed thinking, ”I have to get well. I have to get well.“ You make yourself sick trying to get yourself well because you won’t just simply relax and believe.

If someone were to give you a magical pill that would cure everything, you would take it and believe everything was going to be okay; yet you can’t believe to receive a miracle from the all-powerful Lord. Why make it so hard when the Lord said He would get you well? If you will use your faith as God intends you to, your doubt will be dispelled in no time. It’s just that simple.

Decide today that you will never again miss one little thing God asks you to do. You have made things so hard for God in the past and slowed down His work for you, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Just listen for His still, small voice and enjoy the abundant life He has promised to you in His Word. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
