Do You Want Bible Truth?
by Ernest Angley
June 2016
What is Bible truth? It is the true and undefiled religion of righteousness that sets people free from sin and bondage. Accepting a lie brought man into bondage in the first place, and accepting Bible truth is the only thing that will deliver him from it. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:19).
That righteousness comes through grace and truth. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). Grace is the great favor of God; and through that delivering grace, you can be saved and healed because God’s grace is greater than all the sin and sickness that is around you. Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound (Romans 5:20).
Grace and truth will keep you walking hand in hand with God, but many people today do not want Bible truth because it reveals who they really are—sinners. Some may not claim to be sinners, but they are deceived and involved in false religions; and they will not get into Heaven like that.
Jesus Is Truth
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus was the Word made flesh, and the Word is truth. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
Jesus’ whole purpose for coming to Earth was to bring us truth. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth (John 18:37). Jesus was the Son of God, but He became a man and showed us how to use everything that He brought.
Jesus was our example, and we must be just like Him. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21). We can walk in Jesus’ steps because He brought everything from Heaven we need to do that, and we must hear His voice directing us. Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice (John 18:37).
You cannot be satisfied just to hear the truth; you have to accept it and do it. But be ye doers of the word [the truth], and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22). Many people give mental assent to the fact that Jesus is truth, but you can only really live in that truth if it is in your heart. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart (Psalm 40:8).
The truth will make you holy just as the Bible says you must be. Be ye holy; for I [God] am holy (I Peter 1:16). Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). Many people declare that no one can be perfect, but Jesus brought everything you need to be perfect; and you must be if you want to make the Rapture. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).
You must leave all the darkness behind and walk as children of light. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8). But today, many people do not want that holy light. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3:19). People don’t like the divine light because it uncovers every bit of sin and reveals who they really are. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (John 3:20).
God Hates Hypocrites
Is there anyone or anything in your life that keeps you from accepting or serving the truth? O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth (Galatians 3:1)? You cannot allow friends, family or anyone else to deceive you about the truth that is in Christ. Paul said, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:9).
You have to go beyond the traditions and opinions of men and seek the God-given, Gospel truth. When you do, you will not have a false profession or appearance; you will have truth in your inward parts just as God does. Behold, thou [God] desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom (Psalm 51:6).
The Pharisees in Jesus’ day did not have truth; and Jesus told them, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness (Luke 11:39). The Pharisees did not care about what was inside them; they just wanted to accuse Jesus, and they condemned Him for allowing His disciples to eat with unwashed hands. Then came together unto him [Jesus] the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault (Mark 7:1,2).
Jesus hated the Pharisees and Sadducees because they were hypocrites; and He told them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me (Mark 7:6). It is easy for people to say they are going to Heaven, but many have said that on their deathbeds and then went straight to hell because they would not accept truth.
Many churches today are full of people like the Pharisees, and God cannot stand them. They pretend to be children of God, but they go after only what they desire because sin is still in them. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness (Ezekiel 33:31). Such people go to church with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved (II Thessalonians 2:10). You have to receive God’s love in order to be saved, and you can only get that kind of love through truth. The truth opens your eyes to all that God wants you to know, and you must leave everything else behind.
The Holy Spirit Reveals Truth
When you receive the real Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you into the fullness of Bible truth. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13). What the Holy Spirit hears does not come from man but from Jesus or God the Father on the throne. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me (John 15:26).
The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus; and when you receive the real baptism of the Spirit, He will speak through you in another language. On the Day of Pentecost, the Bible says, They were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).
Many people today are in fanaticism and think they can speak in tongues whenever they feel like it, but that is not the Holy Ghost. You should never speak in tongues at will or prophesy at will. When you have a holy tongue and a holy heart, the Spirit can use them; and when He comes upon you, He will take over your tongue.
God walks in His people through the Holy Ghost. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16). Christ will also live within. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).
If you don’t have the Holy Ghost, you need Him today. The Lord has told me three different times that people must have the Holy Ghost inside to be changed because that change will only come about through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Bible says, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).
The Word Separates
It is God’s will for all men to come into the knowledge of the truth. Who [God] will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (I Timothy 2:4). Then you have to rightly divide that truth and hide it in your heart. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).
You cannot take just one scripture and make a doctrine out of it; it takes all the scriptures together to make a doctrine of truth, holiness and righteous living. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (II Peter 1:20).
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding [will be yours] (Proverbs 23:23). If you want Bible truth, you cannot listen to the devil or anyone in false doctrine whom he might send your way. Jesus said that the devil was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). The devil is the father of lies, and many who are under his influence will change God’s truth to lies and then follow them. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen (Romans 1:25).
It does not matter what other people say; God says, Let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:4). God will let people believe whatever they want to, even if it is a lie. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (II Thessalonians 2:11,12). Real truth is strict, pure and holy; and we have to measure up to that.
This is a very deceitful hour; and it is dangerous to be playing with truth because in the world’s eyes, anything goes. That is why you have to be careful about who you associate with. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (II Corinthians 6:17). God will not receive you when you hang around with the wrong people. You have to leave behind those who blaspheme the name of God, run down your salvation and reject the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The devil will try to convince you that you have to socialize with them or even miss church services to be with your unsaved family members, but you will never win people by compromising.
Only Bible truth brings God’s love and grace to people, and only through grace can people believe for salvation. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). Once you are saved, you must continue to serve the Lord through truth. Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you (I Samuel 12:24).
God is calling you to come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18). God reasons with us by giving us the truth in the Word. Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10).
Do You Avoid Truth?
Jesus brought His truth for us to have and use, but many people do all they can to avoid it; so you must search your heart to make sure you are not one of them. The way of truth is paved with the blood of Jesus, and that is the only way to salvation. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
The Word of God lights that truth way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105). Unfortunately, many people bypass the Word and rely on themselves or others to make decisions, and that is dangerous. Thus saith the Lord, I have the answers; but some of you are not looking for my answers. You are avoiding me and my truth and are asking others questions that only I can answer the right way. The human spirit goes by what seems right or feels right, but only my Word and my Spirit are right.
When we need an answer, the Lord lets us know that all we have to do is ask according to His will. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full [complete] (John 16:24). Many people today always think that someone other than Jesus has a better way, so they ask the wrong questions of the wrong people because they want to please their own lust. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts (James 4:3). God is not pleased when you bypass Him; and eventually, He will cut you off because you are depending on things other than truth. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit (John 15:1,2).
People Seek Deceit
People began avoiding truth in Old Testament days. And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good (I Kings 22:13). The king spoken of here was not right with God, and his false prophets were trying to get Micaiah to say good things about him. And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak (I Kings 22:14). Micaiah spoke the truth even though some people did not like it.
Isaiah told of people who actually wanted to be deceived, and many people today want the same thing. Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits (Isaiah 30:10).
Jeremiah warned the people against false prophets. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD (Jeremiah 23:16). God hated false prophets. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 23:32). Those false prophets prophesied lies to ease their own consciences and those of the people.
Many people want anything but truth. They avoid the Word of God, and they don’t want to associate with God’s true people because their lives condemn them. Instead, they want to be with and listen to those who are full of deceit. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction (II Peter 2:1).
Deceptive Motives
Beware of people who ask questions that appear to be innocent and sincere when their real motive is to cast doubt on the work of God or to sidetrack others from the truth. Satan did that to Eve. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden (Genesis 3:1)? If you ask questions to get people’s attention and then shoot poison in their ears, God will get you.
The serpent did give Eve some truth, but it was very deceiving. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:2-5).
Eve was not ignorant of what God had told her, but she ignored the truth and listened to Satan’s lie. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:6).
Spiritual death came to Adam and Eve, and God kicked them out of the Garden of Eden. So he [God] drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Genesis 3:24). God did not want Adam and Eve to get to the tree of life and live forever with sin in their hearts.
If you ask deceitful questions just to steer others away from the truth, then you aren’t really looking for a truthful reply or wanting to hear what the Lord has to say. If you did, you would stop asking wrong questions and give yourself to fervent prayer and fasting just as Ezra did when he wanted the truth. Then I [Ezra] proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance (Ezra 8:21).
The Scribes and Pharisees in Jesus’ day followed Him for all the wrong reasons. And they watched him [Jesus], whether he would heal him [a man with a withered hand] on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him (Mark 3:2). Laying wait for him [Jesus], and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him (Luke 11:54).
They asked Jesus questions, but they did not really want answers of truth; they asked with an attitude of doubt and unbelief, and many people today do the same thing. And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him [Jesus], seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him (Mark 8:11).
The Lord does not cater to dishonest questions, and Paul told Timothy to pay no attention to them. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes (II Timothy 2:23). If you ask questions that lead to strife, thus saith the Lord, you are on dangerous ground and headed toward being cut off by God Himself.
Quit deceiving yourself with so-called innocent behavior. God knows the intent of your heart and whether or not you really want truth. For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7). Jesus said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).
Jesus Has All the Answers
When you choose to reason within yourself rather than with truth, you will never get the right answers. Jesus proved that to the chief priests, scribes and elders when they asked Him where He got the authority to save and heal people. And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. And they reasoned with themselves [not with God], saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things (Mark 11:29-33).
If you really want the truth, the Lord will answer you. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth (Psalm 145:18). You have to call upon the Lord in truth or it is just idle talk, and that is the devil’s language. You cannot speak it or listen to it, even if it comes from your own family members.
When you walk in truth, you will leave the devil’s language behind and speak only the love language, the same language that is spoken in Heaven. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).
Truth is the only means of sanctification that sets us apart for God’s holy purpose. Jesus prayed to His Father about the disciples saying, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one (John 17:17,21,22). “Sanctify” means to make holy, and holiness will make you one with divinity just as Jesus and the Father are one.
Do you really love the truth today, or are there other things that are so important to you that you would bypass Jesus to obtain them? The Bible says, [Love] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth (I Corinthians 13:6). If you want to glorify God and bring Him joy, you must walk only in truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (III John 1:4).
Jesus Makes You Free
Jesus said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Following Jesus is the only way to be free, and He made it possible for us to live free from all sin and bondage. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). When you leave the enemy behind, you must never allow yourself to be bound by him again. That is why the Bible says, Stand fast therefore in the liberty [of Heaven] wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1).
Do you seek any freedom other than the freedom God gives? If so, I can guarantee you that it is not true freedom or liberty. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage (II Peter 2:19). People who follow servants of corruption will become like them.
Peace and liberty only come through truth, and those things will multiply as you learn more and more about truth. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (II Peter 1:2). When divine peace, divine love and divine grace multiply, they will give you great contentment. Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord (Psalm 144:15). Yet so many people are searching for peace and contentment without finding them because they are restless and full of sin.
People think they can enjoy life only by doing what the flesh desires, but only through God can they have all the things that pertain to real life. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (II Peter 1:3).
Paul said, I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content (Philippians 4:11). Paul had peace no matter what was going on around him because he lived in the divine will of God, and the Lord wants each one of us to live in His will, too.
Do Not Follow Fables
If you are not following truth, you are following fables; and people all over the world are doing that. Fables are heresies, which are religious opinions of man and denial of the truth; and they are one of the seventeen works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21. Fables are a mockery to God, and all who follow them will go to hell. They which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:21). Many people are going to be disappointed when all the cunningly designed fables are finally exposed for what they are; but if you follow truth, you will not be disappointed at the end of life’s journey.
People are turning away from the truth now more than ever because the spirit of Antichrist has covered the Earth, and that spirit is full of compromise and tolerance for sin. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:4).
The Apostle Paul warned us not to give heed to fables. Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith (I Timothy 1:4). But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness (I Timothy 4:7). You exercise yourself unto godliness by using the love and faith of God, and you cannot even please God without faith. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).
No one could ever have found Calvary if God had not given man his first measure of faith. The Bible says, God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Then we must seek God to increase that faith. Ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). That is the kind of faith we all need.
Many people thought Jesus was a fable, but the disciples knew that was not true. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty (II Peter 1:16).
Peter, James and John witnessed the glory of God come upon Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. Then the Almighty God spoke from Heaven to verify that Jesus was the true Son of God. And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him (Mark 9:2,7).
The Dangers of Turning Away
Many people today don’t seek the truth with an honest heart. They only want what seems right and not what is right, so the devil deceives them. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 16:25). Not following the truth brings destruction. The Bible says, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat (Matthew 7:13).
You can preach the truth all day long; but if people don’t want it, they will turn away and not listen. For the time will come when they will not endure [accept] sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears (II Timothy 4:3). People want their ears tickled with things that sound good, so they look for a preacher who will do that for them; but a heart that is right wants the truth.
Children can lie and think nothing about it; but today, many adults are so taken over with lies that they hate those who speak the truth. Paul asked the Galatians, Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth (Galatians 4:16)? Old habits are hard to get rid of, but the Bible says, All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).
Not one speck of sin or deceit will get through the gates of Glory. Blessed are they that do his [God’s] commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the [heavenly] city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Revelation 22:14,15).
The Bible is truth, and it does not whitewash anyone. It says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). The Bible also warns, The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17). If people die in their sins, they will go to hell; but the devil deceives many people into thinking that if they commit a sin or two, they will be all right when they are really headed for destruction. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18).
Follow Jesus
Because Jesus told people the truth, they wanted to kill Him. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God (John 8:40). People who do not want the truth hate the Word and anyone who professes it or teaches it. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
Man did not make up the Word; it is a sure Word of prophecy given by the Holy Ghost, and it says what everyone needs to hear. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:21).
Hear Jesus calling to you in love today through the Word and the Spirit of truth. He called the disciples when He walked among men, and they immediately dropped what they were doing to follow Him. And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom [He was a tax collector.]: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him (Matthew 9:9). Peter and Andrew were fishermen; and Jesus said, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men [soul winners] . And they straightway left their nets, and followed him (Matthew 4:19,20). People were drawn to Jesus by the anointing just as He said they would be. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me (John 12:32).
Not everyone followed Jesus when He called them; some wanted to do something that they deemed more important first. And he [Jesus] said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God (Luke 9:59,60). And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:61,62). God is very strict, and you must always put Him first. If you don’t move when the Spirit is drawing you and you do something else instead, you may never return to Jesus.
To follow Jesus, you have to agree with Him in everything, take heed to His guidance and leadership and walk in His steps. Only then will you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about, so don’t be satisfied a day longer without the truth and be determined to follow Jesus the rest of your life.
One day, everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10,11). Children of God bow to Him now; and others will bow willingly as the Spirit draws them, and they choose to follow Jesus. Then the time will come when those who would not live right will have to bow to Him, but it will be too late for their confession to do them any good.
Accept the Truth
We must carry the truth to people around the world before it is too late. The God of miracles still lives, and He is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh just as He promised He would. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:17).
Jesus gave us many end-time signs of truth to look for, and we can now see them all around us. He said, And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:28). Redemption time is almost here; and Jesus said, Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching [being careful with the truth]: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them (Luke 12:37).
Truth is the only true joy in the world; so if you are unsaved, give your heart to God today. Hell is an awful, eternal place with no love, grace or faith, no flowers, green grass or blue skies; so take heed to this message today and say the sinners’ prayer right now. Oh, God, I am lost. I have been deceived, and I am in the night; and I don’t know my way. You have given me the truth, and I have accepted it; so shine your light on me and show me the way to Calvary. I repent this day of all of my sins, and I believe the truth in the blood of Jesus washes them all away. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!
If you meant that prayer, you are now saved; and you can declare, “Hallelujah! I have Jesus!” Start praying, fasting, living in the Word and walking in the truth with Jesus. Then you must help other people find Him, too. Heaven is a wonderful place, and everyone can go there if they will love the truth and live in it.
The Miracle Truth
Now that you have Jesus in your soul, you must know that the Word of God will bring health to your body as well as your soul. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22).
Through the blood of Jesus, we can have physical healing. With his [blood] stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The Lord wants our bodies to be in good physical health just as our souls are in good spiritual health. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (III John 1:2).
If a doctor tells you there is no hope, that does not have to be the final word. I was so close to death when I was just 23 that I thought I had only two or three more days to live, but Jesus came and made me whole. Go to the Word and let it make you whole, and then you can go on to pray for others. Pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16).
If you need a miracle today, you can have it right now. Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). I am not your healer; Jesus is the healer, and you can be made whole. Jesus said, These signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).
Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you today. I bring those bound with heart trouble, diabetes, cancer or AIDS, those who are paralyzed, blind or crippled and those with children who are diseased, deformed or born with just part of a brain. Make them all well today. Heal! in the name of Jesus. Heal! in the holy name of the Lord.
Millions of people have been healed through this Jesus ministry, and we plan to reach many more as we go forth taking the Gospel to all nations. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). Thus saith the Lord, you must let the world know I am coming soon for the Bride. It is time to repent and receive all that I brought and taught.
The Lord gave us His great plan of redemption, and we are getting close to the end of that plan. The Lord is now saying, “Whosoever will, let him come to me and be delivered.” And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).
Jesus is soon coming for His Bride; so if you are living holy and have the Holy Ghost, you will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and caught up to be with the Lord forever. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).
