Dead Faith or Miracle Faith?
by Ernest Angley
April 2015
Dead faith is harmful, ungodly and unreasonable; and if you have any of it, you have to get rid of it. It does you no good, and it does not get your prayers answered. Only divine faith will work for you because human faith has doubt. Jesus said, O thou of little faith [human faith], wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:31)?
The Bible also says, But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead (James 2:20)? I must make it clear that you cannot be saved by works. The Bible clearly says, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9). But when you are saved and you have divine faith, it will cause you to work for God. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works (James 2:17,18).
Faith and Works
Consider the faith of Abraham. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure (Hebrews 11:17-19).
James asked, Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect (James 2:21,22)? You must want perfect faith, and the Lord tells us that we must seek for it. Ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). Those saints had perfect faith; and with it, they received great results.
James went on to say, And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God (James 2:23). When we please God, He calls us His friend. We must live in divine faith, divine love and all the divinity Jesus brought. Everything is on the table and within our reach.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way (James 2:24,25)? Rahab had been a harlot, but she believed God and hid the two spies who had been sent to search out Jericho. Then when the Israelites came to destroy Jericho, the Lord told the two spies to have Rahab hang a red rope out of a window in her house, which was located along the wall. She obeyed, and her house was the only one not destroyed.
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26). If you are not getting prayers answered, it is because you have not gotten rid of your dead faith.
Let God Control Your Tongue
Dead faith causes people to have the wrong kind of tongue, and James warns us about our tongues. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). A perfect man or woman is one who does not offend other people or the Gospel. You must always live in the truth and be a good example of a believer.
If you fail to bridle your tongue, you will never make the one flight out because the Lord said you would be held responsible for every idle word you speak. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:36,37).
James goes on to explain, Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body (James 3:3). When I was a young farm boy, I thought it was fascinating that we could control our big horses by putting bits in their mouths.
In the same way, big ships are controlled by a small helm. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor [or the captain] listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth (James 3:4,5)! Do you boast about your money or your possessions? If so, that is idle talk and dead faith; and those things won’t get you anywhere. You must praise the Lord and give Him the glory for what you have.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (James 3:6). You are to have a tongue of fire, but it is to be one of holy, sacred fire. The Bible says, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). You must receive the real Holy Ghost baptism with its holy, righteous tongue of fire.
For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:7,8). An unruly tongue will not get through the gates of Glory; you must have a sanctified tongue that gives all the praise to the Lord.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh (James 3:9-12). You are either saved or unsaved, godly or ungodly; you cannot be both.
Boast Not
You must have God to keep you from boasting about yourself and what you have. The Bible says, Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth (Proverbs 27:1). Ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (James 4:14). A vapor is fragile; it is there and then suddenly it is gone.
No one is promised tomorrow, so don’t boast because the Bible says that boasting is evil. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin (James 4:16,17). You must praise God for supplying your needs. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom (James 3:13). Boasting does not show wisdom or humility, and you must have both. Your conversation is to be the same as it will be in Heaven. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth (James 3:14). Some people lie against the truth by not telling the truth and then denying it.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work (James 3:15,16). The Lord is not the author of confusion but of truth; and there is no confusion in truth, only in people. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (I Corinthians 14:33).
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). People with no wisdom from On High don’t have a peaceful, gentle or easily entreated spirit when you correct them.
Submit to God’s Way
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace (James 3:18). What kinds of seeds do you sow?—seeds of truth or untruth, holiness or unholiness? If you don’t sow seeds of peace, you have dead faith; and you will not make it to Heaven.
The Lord said we should examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves (II Corinthians 13:5). The reason many Christians have so much trouble in life is that they don’t live by divine, miracle faith. They live by human faith and feelings when the Bible says, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).
The rich, young ruler did not live by divine faith. When he met Jesus, he asked, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life (Mark 10:17)? Jesus told him that he must live by the Ten Commandments; and the young man said, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions (Mark 10:20-22). The young ruler did not want to sell all he had because money was his god, and he is no doubt in hell today. He boasted about his riches, his lands, his houses and whatever else he had; but those things didn’t do him any good when it came time for him to die.
The Bible says, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble (James 4:6). You have to be humble before God, even when you are being corrected. If you are not, you have the wrong spirit; and you will never get into Heaven with it. Jesus wants humility to establish our goings so we will be ready for His coming.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you (James 4:7,8). If you humble yourself before God, He will give you power; but if you don’t draw nigh to God, He will not draw nigh to you.
Judge Not
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded (James 4:8). A double-minded person is one who is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8).
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4:9,10). If you have dead faith, you must humble yourself before the Lord so He can lift you up.
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge (James 4:11). If you judge others, the Lord said He would measure it right back to you. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:2).
You have no right or authority to judge others. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another (James 4:12)? Who are you to take God’s place and judge others? God has not made any of us to be judges.
Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you (James 5:1). People have to be so careful with money because it can destroy them if they worship it instead of the God of Heaven. The Bible says this to people who boast about their money, Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days (James 5:2,3). Worldly treasures will do you no good when the Rapture takes place.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh (James 5:7,8). God is patient, and He is waiting for us to finish our work. The early rain of the Spirit fell during the Early Church; but we are now in the latter rain, and it is greater than the early rain. We see thousands of people saved in just one of our crusade services. The divine blood delivers people from witchcraft, voodoo and other darknesses of the devil; and thousands are baptized in the real Holy Ghost.
Peter’s Dead Faith
And one of them [Peter] smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus…touched his ear, and healed him (Luke 22:50,51). Peter cut off the man’s ear because he had let his faith die and had taken on dead faith. Then when Jesus healed the man’s ear, Peter became insulted and pouted.
While Jesus was being tried, Peter lied and lost his salvation. And Peter followed him [Jesus] afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth. But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak (Mark 14:54,66-71). When Peter cursed, those who heard him knew that Jesus’ disciples would never talk like that; so they left him alone.
Think how Peter must have felt when Jesus looked at him after His all-night trial. And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly (Luke 22:61,62). At one time, Peter had told the Lord he would never deny Him; but Jesus had said, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice (Matthew 26:34). And that was exactly what happened.
The Holy Ghost Makes the Difference
It took Christ’s shed blood on the Cross and His resurrection to return the faith of God to Peter’s life. Then on the Day of Pentecost, Peter was in the Upper Room to receive the Holy Ghost. His life was in jeopardy, but he didn’t care.
After Peter had received the tongue of fire, he boldly cried to the Jews, “You crucified your Savior!” Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it (Acts 2:22-24).
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:38,39). Jesus has promised the Holy Ghost to everyone who will repent.
Have Miracle Faith
Doubting Thomas had dead faith. After Jesus was resurrected, the other disciples therefore said unto him [Thomas], We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25). For eight days, Thomas stayed away from the other disciples and pouted because things had not gone as he had thought they should.
On the eighth day, Thomas finally decided to join the other disciples; and Jesus walked right through the unopened door where they were gathered. Then saith he [Jesus] to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:27-29).
Only dead faith says, “I will not believe unless I see”; but the Psalmist said, I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). When God tells me something, I don’t wait until I see it come to pass to believe it; I believe to see. That is miracle faith; but some Christians and even ministers do not have or recognize miracle faith, so how do they expect God to work for them? God’s miraculous greatness only works through miracle faith.
Miracle faith is the heart and the power of God, the hands, the eyes and the ears of God. Jesus came all the way from Heaven to Earth to bring us miracle faith, divine love and all of divinity; however, most of those who were alive at that time did not recognize that Heaven had come down.
Jesus accused the disciples of having dead faith, and He called it “little faith.” And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith (Matthew 8:26)? He had offered them living faith, not so they could boast about it but so they could use divinity; and He offers that same faith to us.
The Miracle of Salvation
Jesus brought the whole heart of God to us; and that is why the Bible says, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
There is no other foundation that can be laid but Jesus Christ. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11). When I speak the name of Jesus, the blind receive their sight, people with paralysis are delivered and the deaf hear. When I speak that name, parts of people’s bodies are re-created, and they are healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases; and the Lord gets all the praise, the honor and the glory.
How can anyone claim to know the Lord and not believe in miracles? The Bible is filled with God’s miracle promises, and salvation is just one of the promises the Lord made to us. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).
People see all kinds of miracles through this Jesus ministry, but they will never see one as great as that of a soul coming to God—that is the miracle of all miracles. When God made Calvary, He used all of His love; and He had never done that before. That is why He had to turn His back on His own Son as He was hanging on the Cross and dying for you and me. Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying…My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Matthew 27:46)? Calvary is the only way to Heaven. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
When Adam and Eve sinned, we were all shut out of Eden, a place of love and grace where God actually came down and walked with His man and woman. Then one day when I was eighteen, I found the gate back into Eden; and it was in the form of a Cross. Since then, I have never been the same.
If you have found Calvary, then you have found Eden, too. You have found the love of God, the peace of God, the joy of God and the greatness of God because Jesus said, He that hath seen me hath seen the Father (John 14:9). When you look into Jesus’ face, you have looked into the face of God.
Miracles Change Lives
Jesus manifested the greatness of His Father through miracles. His miracle hands took a few loaves and fishes and fed thousands of people. And he [Jesus] commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children (Matthew 14:19-21).
Jesus said to a blind man, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God (Luke 18:42,43). The man received his sight through divine faith, and it is hard to tell how many totally blind people have been healed through this Jesus ministry, too.
I remember a baby girl who was born blind, and her mother brought her to me. The baby was asleep when I prayed for her; and I can still hear the mother saying, “Honey, wake up. You can see now!” The baby had never been able to see her mother’s face; and when she finally woke up, what a reward was mine when I watched that baby look at her mother for the first time. That mother was holding a miracle of love.
Those are times you never forget, and you can never praise God enough for His miracle power. The next morning, the mother dangled little toys in front of her baby; and the little girl reached out for the bright ones every time.
If people don’t believe in miracles, that is their problem, not mine. I believe in miracles because I believe in the God who performs them, and I walk with Him every day.
You Must Believe
Jesus told Peter, Go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee (Matthew 17:27). Peter was an experienced fisherman who had caught many fish in his day, but I am sure he had never caught one with money in its mouth. Nevertheless, Peter had so much faith that he ran to the water; and the first fish he pulled out had money in its mouth just like Jesus had said it would. The Lord will supply your needs, too, if you will believe.
Some of you claim to have all the faith you need, but it is dead faith because you won’t do what the Lord tells you to do. If He were to tell you to go to the water and pull out a fish, you wouldn’t do it. Instead you might say it was fanaticism, but God’s miracles are never fanaticism. Only weaklings say they don’t believe God will do something He has promised to do.
I preach a miracle Gospel, and the Lord confirms it. A woman came to one of my services with a deformed hand which she had suffered with for over 20 years. I told everybody to spread out their hands and take a miracle, and she did. After a while, she said she looked down and saw that her hand was normal. God’s miracles are real!
Miracle Faith Brings Results
The Bible declares, God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). And when you use that measure, He will give you another measure and another measure. The Bible says faith cometh by hearing what God says. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Faith is a gift from God; and down through the years, He has gifted different people with miracle faith. Moses had miracle faith, and he used it to bring the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage. And Moses stretched out his hand over the [Red] sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left (Exodus 14:21,22).
It was miracle faith that enabled Gideon and his 300 to conquer. And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand. And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host [the enemy]: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath (Judges 7:7,22).
Help God Make Miracles
Divine miracles are not done by the faith of man but by the faith of the living God. I don’t depend on human faith when I minister to the sick and afflicted; I depend on God’s faith because only divine faith heals. The Lord offers you the faith that will perform His miracles, and we have to use that faith to help Him make miracles.
Jesus’ mother helped Him make the first miracle when the host of a marriage supper ran out of wine. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2:3-5). The servants obeyed and did what Jesus had told them to do, and He turned the water into wine. That miracle was the beginning of Christ’s Earth ministry. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him (John 2:11).
Jesus fasted forty days and nights before He went forth with miracle power; and after the fast, He said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18). Then Jesus told the disciples, This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). If children of God will do those things, the anointing of the Lord will be upon them so they can deliver people and set them free in this final hour. We will cry to the world in the name of Jesus, “You can be free because there is wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb!”
The Mantle of Power
Elisha received miracle faith by following Elijah wherever he went and by being taught by him for about seven years. Then his faith was put to the test. And it came to pass, as they [Elijah and Elisha] still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over (II Kings 2:11-14). Elisha had watched Elijah perform many miracles; but we have no record of Elisha performing miracles until Elijah was raptured, and he had received Elijah’s mantle.
When Jesus ascended to Heaven, the disciples received His mantle; and then miracles began to take place. We can have the mantle of Jesus, too; and that is the only mantle of power that will do the work we are called to do. Because I have that mantle, people are healed and delivered, but I am not the healer; Jesus is the healer. I don’t boast of myself because I know I am nothing without God; but through Him, I know all things are possible.
When the Lord’s mantle fell on me, I ran to the water, so to speak, just as Elisha had done; and I cried, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” Then I lifted my hand, and a crippled woman on crutches fell in the Spirit like she was dead; and when she got up, she was normal and no longer needed her crutches anymore.
I held a baby boy who was born with one side of his face and head smaller than the other. When I prayed for him, it was like a gentle breeze blew over him; and it was all done. I held a beautiful, normal baby in my arms; and you could not tell he had ever been deformed.
Paul’s Miracle Faith
Paul had miracle power from On High. At first, he had no faith in Jesus and even persecuted Christians; but that all changed when the Lord knocked Paul down on the road to Damascus and took his sight. And as he [Paul] journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul [God later changed his name to Paul.], why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man (Acts 9:3-6,8).
Paul was without sight for three days, and then the Lord sent Ananias to pray for him. Ananias…entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized (Acts 9:17,18).
Paul was immediately baptized with the Holy Ghost, and then the Lord sent him to live in the desert for over three years. That was where Paul received miracle faith, and then the Lord used him to perform many miracles.
When you study the life of Paul, you will see there is no difference between his walk and the walk of Jesus; and that is the way it must be with the Bride in this final hour. She must talk like Jesus, walk like Jesus, work like Jesus and act just like Jesus; and we who are members of the bridal company can do that because the blood has made us sons and daughters of God. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (II Corinthians 6:17,18).
You Must Have the Holy Ghost
I never have to search for God because I live in His presence all the time, and He lives with me. The Bible says God walks inside of us. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16). Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).
When we are baptized in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit then dwells within us, too. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17).
Jesus said the Holy Ghost will be our guide. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).
The Spirit will be your teacher and your comforter, and no one can comfort like He can in times of trouble; but the Holy Ghost will leave you if you have an unclean or boastful tongue. You have to keep the holy tongue of fire or the Spirit will move out, and you will be left deceived and thinking you have the Holy Ghost when you don’t.
We are to be temples of the Holy Ghost. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:19,20).
Speak the Truth
We have been bought with a price, so we have to study the Word of God and live holy. The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). What counts is not how much you read the Word but what you learn from it. I may dwell on just one passage for a long time; and if I still don’t fully understand it, I will ask God to give me that understanding.
The Word is the truth, and I depend on it. The Lord told Ezekiel that if he didn’t tell people the truth, their blood would be on his hands. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul (Ezekiel 3:18,19).
Paul said, Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men (Acts 20:26). And when it was God’s time for Paul to die, he said, For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand (II Timothy 4:6).
Receive the Miracle of Salvation
If you have dead faith today, repent and take on divine, miracle faith because there is plenty of it to go around. Say this prayer right now. Oh, God, I have dead faith; and I am lost. I have failed you and shamed you, and I weep over it now; but you said if I would repent with godly sorrow, you would forgive me and take me into your heart. I know you are the miracle Christ and that you died for me, so I know I can have the miracle of salvation right now. I believe in your miracle blood, and I believe that your blood washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in! If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! Jesus is mine. Thank God, Jesus is mine!
Jesus Brought Miracle Blood
After Jesus comes in, it is miracle time for the body; and if you really believe in miracles with your whole heart, you can be made whole. Isaiah, the great prophet, said that with the Lord’s blood stripes, we are healed. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Peter said, By whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). That means the miracle is already yours; you just have to reach out and take it through the blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross because that blood still heals today.
We believe in good doctors, good medicines and good hospitals; but when man has done all he can do, there is masterful surgery from On High. Thank God that His miracles are real! Untold thousands have been set free, so I am agreeing with you for you to receive; and the Lord said, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19). It does not matter whether you have AIDS, tuberculosis, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, leprosy, paralysis or a deformity because God is pouring out the same miracle power Jesus used when He walked the Earth.
Lord, here the people are, and I know they won’t be disappointed. You have healed millions of times through this Jesus worldwide, outreach ministry. Heal! in the holy, all-powerful name of Jesus. I command the totally blind to see. I command the alcoholics, the drug addicts and all those who are bound with demonic spirits to be set free through the miracle blood of Jesus.
This kind of deliverance makes you happy through and through, and you will never be the same again. Praying, reading your Bible and doing some Bible fasting will help you, too. Live free from all sin; and one day, we can meet on Heaven’s shores of sweet deliverance. Heaven is real to me, and it can be real to you if you will yield.
Walk God’s faith road, and you will please Him like Enoch of old did. He walked with God and was translated when God took him to Heaven alive. Jesus will soon come for His Bride, and there will be only one flight out. What a glorious day that will be for those who are ready to go, and we can all be ready because Jesus has paid our fare. We have the faith ticket, and all we have to do is live up to it.
