By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer (Psalm 17:4). The little word “by” is a word that indicates a means of achieving something; and in this message, you will be reminded of the many things that are achieved by the Word of God.

By the Word of God, Heaven and Earth and all creation came into existence. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast (Psalm 33:6-9).

Nothing was created without God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made (John 1:3). He is God of yesterday, today and all of our tomorrows forevermore.

Genesis tells us about the creation of the Earth as we know it; and before each new thing came into being, you will see the three words “and God said.” Everything was done by the spoken words of God. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the [Holy] spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:1-3). And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters (Genesis 1:6). And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so (Genesis 1:9). And on and on it goes.

We no longer have to wait for the Lord to speak because He has already spoken everything we need into existence, and whatever God says lasts. God does not have to say another word to us; we just need understanding of what He has already said in His Word. Then we need the wisdom, knowledge, love and faith to accept all of it. God’s words have the same power today as they had when Jesus walked the Earth.

Promises in the Word

There is nothing in the world like the all-powerful Word of the living God. God speaks, and what He says comes to pass because He is Lord God Almighty; however, you can’t merely give lip service to the Word and expect it to work for you. Through the faith of God, you must be able to take His promises out of the Bible and use them.

The Bride will accomplish great things in this last hour as she lives in the Word the way God wants her to. She will believe every promise in the Word, and she will allow every word and promise to take on the life of God so she can shine forth to the whole world with the light of Heaven. Jesus said, Ye are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).

God wants to fulfill every promise He has made, but He has been so grieved down through the years when He has not been able to do that. Every promise God makes is conditional, even the promise of eternal life; and you have to meet the conditions of a promise before it can be fulfilled in your life. So when a promise is not fulfilled for you, it is your fault, not God’s fault.

If you love, trust and obey the Word of God, you can meet the condition of each promise because God has never made a promise with conditions that can’t be met. He knew when He made each promise that they were for human beings, and He knows what we can and cannot do; so He made the conditions simple and attainable.

If the plan of redemption had been left up to man, it would have been so complicated that most people never would have been able to understand it or receive it; but God’s plan of redemption is very clear and simple. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).

God sent His Only Begotten Son to Earth to become very man as well as very God and to show us what the Word can do through a human being. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (John 1:14). If you have not received a miracle, a healing or the answer to a prayer, it may be because you failed to use what is written in the Word. Never let the devil talk you out of even one of God’s promises. Know without a doubt that God means for His promises to be yours, and then the devil won’t have a chance to defeat you.

Our Weapon against the Devil

Before Jesus began His ministry, He went into the wilderness and fasted for forty days and nights; and as soon as He was finished, He met the devil head-on. What did He use on the devil?—the Word. The Bible tells us, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

The Word is our great weapon against the devil; and when Jesus used it, the devil didn’t stay long. The Bible says, He departed from him for a season (Luke 4:13). Jesus defeated the devil with the Word and then went forth in the power of the Spirit (Luke 4:14). We all must use the Word and go forth in the power of the Spirit. One of the greatest lessons the Lord taught us while He was here on Earth was to declare, It is written (Matthew 4:4,7,10).

When you use the Word of God and put it into action, the devil can’t defeat you because he can’t stand before the Word. Why run from the devil when he is supposed to be running from you? Just embrace the Word, speak the Word and use the Word because if you listen to the devil and use your own opinions, he will defeat you. That is why the Bible says, Resist the devil [by the Word], and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

The devil wants to weigh you down with oppression, self-pity, fear, frustration, anxiety, despair or whatever else he can unload on you; and he may have defeated you with those things many times in the past, but don’t allow him to do that ever again. If you are a child of God and the devil is using something to worry you to death, you must know that you don’t have to allow it. When you are saved, you become the property of Heaven; and when you are God’s property, the devil has no say over you.

Use the Word and go forth in the physical and spiritual strength of the Lord. Paul said, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). Use the Word, and you will have the joy and peace God says are yours. For the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Use the Word, and your needs will be supplied. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

God wants you to recognize the power of His Word and trust it. It moves more quickly than the devil ever could, and the power of God is greater than all the powers of darkness. Every word in the Bible is as strong as God Himself; so if you believe that, you must act on it.

The Healing Christ

The powerful Word of God heals. The Bible says, Jesus, the Word, came to Earth healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). Take note, however, that the Bible doesn’t say Jesus healed all manner of people because He didn’t heal dishonest-hearted unbelievers. Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

When Jesus was on Earth, He met a man who was born blind. He [Jesus] spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6,7). No one but Jesus could have done that.

The woman with the issue of blood knew Jesus was the healer; and she said, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole (Matthew 9:21). She reached out and touched His garment and closed her case; and immediately, she was healed. Through faith in the Word, you too must close your case concerning your problem; and you are the only one who can do that.

Two blind men followed Jesus crying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. Then touched he [Jesus] their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you (Matthew 9:27,29). Never blame God when you don’t get a healing or a miracle because He is never to blame. He puts healing within your reach, but you have to use divine faith to reach for it and claim it. Human faith will never reach the Lord’s table that is loaded down with everything you need.

You can be healed today of any disease, affliction or deformity because healing is promised to you in the Word. Healing is the children’s bread, and it is on the table all the time. Hear Jesus saying, Come and dine (John 21:12). The Bible is the faith Book from which you can order whatever you need.

Jesus said, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24). He also said, And these signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).

The Lord said you would get well, but He never said you wouldn’t be tried by the enemy or have another pain along the way. When some people have more pain after prayer, they decide they are not healed instead of realizing it is just false symptoms from the devil. The Word calls those lying vanities. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy [grace to receive healing or deliverance] (Jonah 2:8). Are you going to believe the promises in the Word or false symptoms? When God heals you, another pain should not matter.

No One Has to Be Sick

The Lord never said His children have to be sick; He wants us to be healthy and strong. That is why Jesus, the Word, came to destroy the works of the devil, and that includes sicknesses and diseases. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). In the Gospels, you will find more accounts of Jesus healing people than you will find of Him doing anything else.

The Bible tells us there is a time to be born, and a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3:2). But that doesn’t mean you have to die with some sickness or disease. The Word of God tells us that Jacob didn’t die with the measles, cancer, diabetes or heart trouble; he just finished his work, leaned over on his staff and went home to be with the Lord. By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff (Hebrews 11:21). What a wonderful way to go!

Moses was not sickly before his death either. The Bible says that Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan...So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD (Deuteronomy 34:1,5). Moses was able to climb a mountain right before the Lord called him home.

When God was preparing to bring the Israelites out of Egypt, the Bible says, He sent his word, and healed them (Psalm 107:20). God’s miracle power healed three or four million Israelites, including the mixed multitude. The people had been slaves to Pharaoh for 400 years; and during that time, they had suffered sickness, affliction and disease because they had been so misused. However, when the Lord brought them out of Egypt, the Word declares there wasn’t a weak one among them. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Psalm 105:37).

The Healing Word

We are healed and delivered by the Word of God, and the Word shows us again and again that it is the will of God for His children to be healthy. He gets no glory out of people suffering with diseases; He gets the glory when they are healed. The Bible says, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (III John 1:2).

There is no healing without God; and sometimes, all it takes is the spoken word. And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed (Matthew 8:5-8).

That centurion was not even of the household of faith; yet Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel (Matthew 8:10). Then Jesus spoke the Word, and the centurion’s servant was healed. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Matthew 8:13).

When the Lord speaks, you are healed. The devil will try to convince you that you didn’t receive a miracle or that it won’t last, but never pay any attention to him. Listen only to God and His Word, and you will be fine.

When Jesus was on Earth, He said, Wilt thou be made whole (John 5:6)? He also said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Those who looked to Jesus for miracles when He was on Earth were made whole if they believed it would happen; but when people doubted Jesus, He could not help them. And he [Jesus] did not many mighty works there [in Nazareth] because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58).

The Lord can only work through faith. The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). If you don’t believe the entire Word, you are depriving yourself and others of the power of the Word.

Hear the Word

The Word can do anything for you; but first, you have to hear it, and then you must live by it. Hearing the Word of God the way He wants you to is not just listening to it. You must study it, gain knowledge of it, learn it, heed to it and do it. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

To rightly divide the Word, you have to study it all and then be ready to share it with others. Some people brag about how many times they have read through the Bible, but that does them no good if they don’t let the words sink deep into their hearts. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts [and thy words] are very deep (Psalm 92:5).

The Lord cried through the prophet Jeremiah, O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD (Jeremiah 22:29). Nothing of God is going to take root and blossom in the hearts of men and women unless they hear and receive the Word of God. Without the Word, they will bring forth no fruit. And these are they [the seeds of the Word] which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred (Mark 4:20). The Lord let me know that we are to produce fruit like Jesus did, so how much fruit is produced in your life?

We live in a world that is constantly changing, but the Word of God never changes. It remains just as true and solid as it was when God gave it, and the Lord stands by His Word. However, the Word does change people when they hear it, believe it and do what it says. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple (Psalm 19:7). “The simple” refers to the common people; and the Bible says, The common people heard him [Jesus] gladly (Mark 12:37).

Not many wise people in this world have ever been called by God because they are too concerned about what other people think and do, but many common people gladly accept the Word. Then the Gospel can take them over and make them wise. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple (Psalm 119:130). The Word is so simple that even little children can understand it.

Doers of the Word

It is not enough to just hear the Word; you also have to act on it. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty [the perfect love law Jesus brought], and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25).

Only when you act on the Word will you truly be blessed and in turn bless others. Paul said, Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee (I Timothy 4:15,16). You are the only Bible some people will ever read, so you must be a living testimony.

For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was (James 1:23,24). The reason many so-called Christians have no joy, peace and happiness is because they don’t do what God has told them to in the Word.

God has given you His Word, and He has given you the faith you need to take His words out of His Book and put them into action. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein (Revelation 1:3). When you do that, you will see, hear, talk and act differently.

The Word Saves

By the Word of God, we receive cleansing from all sin. That is why Jesus said, Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3). The Psalmist said, Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word (Psalm 119:9). For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God (I Corinthians 1:18).

The Word is life and the power of God unto salvation. Paul said, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16). “Believeth” means to continue to believe. You can never stop believing the Word, and you must never be ashamed of it.

Paul told Timothy, And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 3:15). Many people are not wise when it comes to salvation because they have allowed the devil to make them ignorant to it, and that is so sad.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (John 5:24). When you are saved, there is no longer any death in your soul; and if you don’t backslide, you will live forever because Jesus lives. Paul said, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

God sent Jesus to forgive you of all your sins, and they are never to have any dominion over you again. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14).

The New Testament is full of God’s message of grace for all mankind. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). You will find the wonderful grace and mercy of God in every word He has ever spoken. Claim His Word as yours and let it take on living reality, just as if God were speaking it to you right now and feeding you life through the Holy Spirit Himself.

Live Free from Sin

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). When you keep the Word in your heart, it is covered by the blood; and the devil can’t put anything wrong in it. Then you won’t have any trouble living free from sin, yet many preachers today teach that nobody can live free from sin. The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). A child of God can and must live free from sin because not one sin can enter Heaven.

The Bible says that God cannot look upon sin. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13). Of course, God sees sin, but He will never look upon it with any favor; so anyone with any sin in them will be left standing outside the gates of Glory. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Revelation 22:14,15).

A person has to leave all sin behind to be able to stand as tall as Christ stood when He was on Earth. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

To stand like Jesus stood, you have to be steadfast in the faith and not be tossed about with every wind of doctrine that comes your way. Some people are constantly going from one idea to another, but they will never get anywhere like that. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:14).

The Word Is Divine

Everything in God’s Word was put there for a reason. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:16,17). Every scripture verse is given for a divine purpose, and you must take heed to each one. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts (II Peter 1:19).

The Bible came about through divinity. Holy men of God wrote as they were moved on by the Holy Ghost. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:21). If you don’t believe everything contained in the holy Scriptures, it is as if you are telling God and the Holy Ghost that parts of what they have written are not necessary and don’t need to be in the Bible.

When people believe only part of the Gospel, they deny the power of the Word. Therefore, they have only a form of godliness, and the Bible tells you to turn away from such people because they will put your soul in danger. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:5). You must believe all of the Word if you want the power of the Word. You can’t pick and choose what you do and don’t want to believe.

Never Change the Word

The eternal Word will never die. But the word of the Lord endureth forever (I Peter 1:25). The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever (Isaiah 40:8). Jesus said, Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Mark 13:31).

The Word will not only endure forever; it will also never change. For I am the Lord, I change not (Malachi 3:6). Because of that, God is not pleased with anyone who tries to change or compromise any part of His Holy Word; yet many preachers have done that. The Bible says, He that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully (Jeremiah 23:28). Unfortunately, many preachers are not doing that today, and God is not pleased.

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets [and anyone else], saith the LORD, that steal my words everyone from his neighbour (Jeremiah 23:30). God holds people responsible who go against His Word, yet so many people do that. Many claim they are saved and going to Heaven when they live like the devil. The sad truth is that they are going straight to hell. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).

When people reject God and His Word, He leaves them to follow their own path of destruction. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen (Romans 1:24,25).

People will have to give an account for everything they do and say against the Word. The Bible warns, If any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy [the Word], God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book (Revelation 22:19).

Unbelief Is Dangerous

Like the Apostle Paul, you must believe the whole Word and declare it all. Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God (Acts 20:26,27).

If there are things in the Gospel you do not believe, how can there be a performance of them in your life? If you don’t believe in healing, how will you be healed? If you don’t believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, how will you be filled? The Bible says, And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord (Luke 1:45).

If you don’t believe the whole Word of God, you won’t receive it all. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not (Acts 28:24). You must believe everything in the Word of God, and the Holy Ghost will help you to accept it all. Jesus said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). If you are not going to believe and accept it all, what is left over won’t do you any good. When you doubt any part of the Word, it won’t work for you.

When you take anything away from the Word in favor of your own wisdom and knowledge, you will also hinder others from believing it all; and Jesus said, Woe [pain, tragedy or disaster] unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered (Luke 11:52).

God despises anyone who hinders a soul from entering the Kingdom, yet some do that because they love the praises of others more than they love God and His Word. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him [Jesus]; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12:42,43). Those who did that are no doubt in hell today. To be worthy of Heaven, you must say as Peter and the other apostles did, We ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29).

The Word Breaks Bondages

The Word of God brings freedom through the truth. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). The devil brings bondage through lies. Jesus said, He [the devil] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).

Paul was put into bonds many times for preaching the Gospel, but no one could ever bind the Word he preached. Paul said, Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evildoer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound (II Timothy 2:9).

At one time, Paul and Silas were cast into prison because of the Gospel; but the Word brought them freedom. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:25,26). Paul and Silas were alive in the living Word and having a prayer meeting at midnight when suddenly, everyone’s shackles fell off, and the locks on the doors were opened.

You may feel bound with troubles, sorrows and afflictions; but you must remember that the Word can liberate you. The Psalmist said, I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word (Psalm 119:107). He wanted to be quickened and made alive in the power, the peace and the joy of the Word and in the happiness of his salvation.

You can have complete liberty by the Word, so you must always hear it speaking to you and let the power in it clear your mind. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word (Psalm 119:28).

The Word tells you what to think on so that you will always be strong in the Lord and have a clear mind. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue [any wealth of Heaven], and if there be any praise [to God], think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

Trust the Word

You must study the Word and believe it through faith, or it won’t profit you. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it (Hebrews 4:2). Faith is believing God’s Word and acting on it, and you will have no more faith in the Word than what you act out; so get busy and use divine faith to act on what God has said.

Hebrews 11 is the faith chapter, and it tells of the kind of faith you can and must have. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). You must study that whole chapter and learn all you can about divine faith. Then you must contend for that faith as the Bible tells you to. Ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3).

God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Everyone receives a measure of faith to get saved, but that faith is increased by the Word. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him (Proverbs 30:5). There is no contamination in the Word, and it contains not one speck of doubt. You can only use the Word in its pure form, so it won’t work when it is mixed with anything but pure faith. People have tried again and again to use the Word when they had a little doubt, but they found it wouldn’t work that way. Only the pure Word of God can heal the sick, give the blind their sight, make the deaf to hear and the crippled to walk.

Faith in God is more powerful than all the demons and devils that have ever come out of hell, so you never have to be afraid. Just put your faith and trust in God and His Word. He knew we needed everything His Son brought so much that He allowed Jesus to die to provide it, so you must not let that sacrifice go to waste. You must use it and trust in it.

Depend on the Word

You can always count on God, and His Word is dependable; so let the Word do for you what God sent it forth to do. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:10,11).

The Word of God is powerful, and it will accomplish all that He sends it forth to do when people will accept it and yield completely to it. God’s Word only returns void when people won’t accept it, and that is not God’s fault. He sends His Word forth with divine power, love, grace, wisdom and understanding so it can bring forth deliverance for soul, mind and body. If people won’t accept that, they will be the losers.

The Bible says the Word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Only by the Word of God can that be done. What is in your heart determines what you are going to do, and you will never do the whole will of God without the Word.

Jesus said that the Word never fails. It is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle [one speck] of the law to fail (Luke 16:17). The Word will never fail you; but you have to study it, eat it and digest it. Jeremiah said, Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart (Jeremiah 15:16). Having the Word within you will give you perfect love.

By the Word, we are made joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16,17). Jesus became our elder brother, and He came to make us sons and daughters of God and heirs to Heaven.

When Jesus was on Earth, He identified those who keep the Word to be His family. And he [Jesus] answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it (Luke 8:21). Jesus also said, For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother (Matthew 12:50).

Receive Strength and Rest

By the Word of God, we are quickened; and it brings life in the midst of trials and sorrow. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken [revive] thou me according to thy word (Psalm 119:25).

Samson depended on the quickening power of the Lord to strengthen him, but that power left him when he backslid. Then when the enemy came upon him, he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house (Judges 16:20,21). Samson paid dearly for losing that quickening power.

You must learn to recognize when the Lord’s quickening power is moving within you. The Psalmist said, Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me (Psalm 119:50). The more you learn about God, the more you will notice every little thing He does with you and for you; and you will know that He quickens you by the power of the Holy Ghost that works within you.

There are times when you just need peace and rest, and the Word will give you those things. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

How many times have you tried to deal with the burdens and troubles of this life by using your own reasoning and gotten nowhere? At those times, you must go to the Word of God to find help and rest. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee (Psalm 116:7). The word “bountifully” here means that the Lord has dealt with your soul in a wonderful, strong, loving and kind way. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word (Psalm 119:65).

Let the Word Show You the Way

By the Word of God, you can get understanding; so bury yourself in the Word. Through thy precepts [doctrines and commandments] I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way (Psalm 119:104). You must hate everything that is against God.

You have to make the Word your study Book; and with the Word of God in your heart, you don’t have to stumble around in the darkness. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105). A lamp lights your way on this Earth, and the Word of God lights your spiritual way. So if you are not on a path that is lit with the light of God, you are not on the path God has planned for you; and you need to change paths.

God’s light is an eternal, guiding light, and it will never grow dim or go out. When thou goest, it [the Word] shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee (Proverbs 6:22). The Word will lead you, and it will even keep you in your sleep. The Word is your sufficiency, your protection, your supply and your deliverance.

The Word is your road map to Glory, so you have to make every turn it tells you to if you want to arrive in Heaven one day. If you don’t take heed to all the directions given in the Word, you will never receive your heavenly crown. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully (II Timothy 2:5). To strive lawfully means to seek to keep the love commandments Jesus brought, the new and living way. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:19,20).

Separate

By the Word of God, you can have all the answers you need for yourself and for others. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word (Psalm 119:42). People may not accept God’s answers, but that is not your fault. Those who reject God’s ways will have to face their choices in hell as the endless ages roll.

Those who have dishonest hearts will stand up against the power of the Word because it sheds light on their evil ways. They don’t want to change, so they fight and criticize the messengers who deliver the Word. You must separate from those who do that, or you will find yourself in trouble. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (II Corinthians 6:17).

Paul was greatly persecuted, but he paid no attention to his accusers and went on doing God’s work. And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium (Acts 13:49-51).

Paul and Barnabas moved on to people who would accept the Word; and the Bible says, The disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost (Acts 13:52). As the disciples continued to spread the Gospel, the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).

We too must spread the Word; and that is why Jesus said, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). You can only help do that by the Word of God and the Holy Ghost; He is power from On High.

Live in the Word

It is impossible to tell all that is done by the Word of God because it does so much. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:16,17).

When you are perfect, you are holy; and you are made that way by the Word. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17). To be sanctified means to be set apart and made holy by the Lord Himself.

We are living in the last days, so never let anything become more important to you than the Word of God or you will become unfruitful and be left behind when Jesus returns. And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful (Mark 4:19).

When your life becomes unfruitful, God is done with you. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire (Matthew 7:19).

The Lord gave this message on purpose because He wants you to hide nothing but the Word in your heart and keep it there. If you will do that, you will be fine. If you don’t live that way, you will be in trouble. Only through the Word, the blood, and the fire of the Holy Ghost can the Lord be your shield, your buckler and your protector.

The Word will keep you going. It will give you the energy and the power you need to do all the Lord wants you to. The Lord has a plan for every life; and if you will go by the plan He has for you, you will make it. So spend time with the Lord and treasure every moment you have with Him.

Receive Power from On High

By the Word, you know about the Holy Ghost, the third person in the trinity of the Godhead. Everyone needs to be baptized in the Holy Ghost to go with Jesus when He comes for His Bride. The Holy Ghost brings power from On High, and only with that power working on the inside of you will you be able to be changed on Rapture Day. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).

When Jesus was telling the disciples about the Holy Ghost, He said, Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8). That Holy Ghost power is for everyone to receive. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32). God wants His obedient ones to be full of the Spirit and divine power so they can be witnesses to the whole world.

The first evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. On the Day of Pentecost, the Bible says the disciples were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). Jesus said, They shall speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17). That is the tongue of fire of the Holy Ghost; and it is also a tongue of humility, of serving and of speaking the right things at the right time.

Jesus had that tongue of fire, and the Bible says people were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power (Luke 4:32). That was the power of the Holy Ghost. The Lord wants people to be astonished at our doctrine too when we speak the Word through the power of the Holy Ghost.

You can learn everything about divinity when you have the Holy Ghost living in you because He is your teacher. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). When you don’t understand something about the Word, just ask the Teacher; He knows all about it. He came to help us, teach us and guide us into the will of God, and He will give you great strength and understanding.

Saved by the Word

Are you ready now to present yourself before God and be clothed in perfection with the Word and the Holy Ghost? All you need is in the Word; so accept it, be blessed by it and praise God for the many benefits of it.

You may feel as if no one loves you, but Jesus died for you. There is no greater love than for a person to lay down his life for someone else. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).

If you want this wonderful Word of love to be yours and you want to call God your Father, then come to Jesus. He will forgive you no matter how many or what kinds of sins you have committed. You may have lied to, deceived and cheated people, and you may have given in to your lust; but the Lord will forgive you, set you free and clean you up through the blood and the Word.

Say this prayer with me: Oh, God! I am so sorry I have sinned against you, but I have come home; and I am going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus and the blood Word set me free from all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you believe the Word, Jesus has come. He is yours, and the Word is yours because you have been born again. You now have the image of God; and when God looks at you, He sees a holy and righteous person like Himself.

Healed by the Word

By the Word, you can be healed; so why continue to carry around your sicknesses or afflictions? Those things are not of God. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). That is a promise of God, and His promises are all true. The Lord even promised to renew your youth. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5).

Now, it is time for healing from Heaven. The Lord will get you well, but you have to serve Him. I am not your healer; I am just the Lord’s believer, and I bring you to Him.

Lord, I bring the people before you with a true heart of righteousness and with your divine love, grace and healing, blood power. Heal! in the blood name of Jesus! Heal! in the all-powerful, blood name.

The healing power is now flowing through the Word. Be thou made well. Watch yourself and your little ones get well because the God of miracles lives! Then write or email to tell me about what God has done for you so I can rejoice with you.
